Watched nezha reborn recently and though there were major pacing issues w the movie it was worth it bc of some kickass designs,,, or in other words decided to do pose practice and thought i cant not draw him

Hornigold's Izzy was the worst, of course. A version of himself that never escaped that terrible place, who lived his life as little more than an object. He still has nightmares about all the things Baz told them, about all the things he didn't.

It doesn't really surprise him, after the first ones, not at its root. To be Izzy Hands is to be someone's after all, though seeing his own face on someone so fundamentally different to him never gets less weird. The people who these other Izzys attached themselves too often left him with more questions than answers. Jack's Izzy, he can understand, from a certain view, though the man himself felt like a fever dream. The less said about Stede's Izzy the better, he's never going to forgive him for the ideas he put in his Stede's head.

Then there was Sam's Izzy.

The first thing anyone noticed about him was that he was happy. He smiled and laughed without thought, and went through life with an ease Izzy didn't think he had ever felt. The crew took to him immediately, accepting him in a way they never did the other Izzys, and certainly not their own. They prodded him and asked him endless questions, and he took every touch without a flinch and answered every question without a hint of a grumble. This Izzy was free. He was open, unburdened, trusting. He was happy.

Sam's Izzy was the one that hurt the most to see. He could accept the worst that Hornigold could've offered, that he would have suffered and been broken. It was infinitely harder to see that he had a chance to be this happy. That it slipped through his fingers.

He's never looked back before, but now? Seeing what might've been? He can't stop himself from considering the possibility that maybe he made the wrong choice back then, going with Ed.

Why are vetted accounts sending people stuff like this.

I mean it's clearly copy-pasted and sent to multiple people but this isn't even a donations ask. Imma guess the reason people aren't responding is because you're accusing them of not doing enough for Palestine and sending it to multiple people who you clearly don't check because I've been posting about and for Palestine since oct 7th when I learned about it.

Also yes he is looking for donations, you can check his account and find it. Why are you sending this guilt trippy stuff to people and accusing them of not caring enough? You don't know me? You send these to multiple people so your clearly not checking the account in question. This dose nothing to help you personally or the Palestinian cause, it just pisses people off and makes them question vetters.

#undescribed #bonk.png #uninhabited planet survive #mujin wakusei survive #HOOO BOY this is extremely self indulgent bc i like fake episodes n storylines for things n sharla is my second fav of the bunch #before i forgot caption is a line from love me more by mitski n the dialogue is taken straight from wakaba's elevator scene in utena #just altered for the characters' genders obv back to yapping all the pieces were in place for sharla to have a jealousy subplot like in the #second half of the show (after adam is introduced basically) sharla n luna dont as much focus together with the secondary character to luna #shifting to kaoru bc of being more involved in directdanger all the time n sharla not being good at that stuff is relegated to the sidelines #which is something shes insecure about!! shes not as good at survival action as everyone else n doesnt have anything skills unique to her #she LITERALLY stops taking her rations of water so the others can have more bc she feels like she doesnt matter as much as the others!!#shes fairytale girl sharla which is good for morale (esp luna's) but not particularly helpful when theyve gone a few days with no food #she also is implied to have no proper friends before meeting luna in the first episode (at which point they immediately become ride or die)#with her only sort of friend being a girl she hung out with despite her being bullied n excluded who then left her for the bullies #n episode 17 is about her wanting luna to be able to rely on her with them sharing eachother's history of loneliness #the show also has a emphasis on their circumstances escalating emotions n causing them to lash out at eachother theres a episode right b4 #the winter arc where howard is jealous n lashes out bc hes used to being the center of attention but no on on the island really likes himdue #to him being a brat so he soaks up adam's attention like a sponge n freaks out when adam starts favoring menori #which is understandble n somewhat easy to digest n process but you know who has a more prominent history of loneliness n abandonment who is #also prone to insecurity n thrives on someone's affection? sharla n i set this fake story line during the space criminals arc bc it doesnt #really have a lot of character work n takes place right after the winter arc with both having the characters stuck inside for most of it bc #of more direct serious danger n sharla along with chako n shingo would be stuck inside the most BUT with the criminals arc chako n shingo #are actively doing something theyre contributing but all sharla can do is watch adam while luna her bestie luna is out dealing with people #literally hunting them with kaoru who is notably better than everyone else at the whole survival action thing has become closer to lunasince #the winter arc n from what sharla has seen has no flaws or weaknesses theres specific reasons as to why i dont think her negative feelings #would be focused on the others bc for varying reasons she wouldnt feel they threaten her relationship with luna (the rationalization for #bell not being viewed as a possible threat is interesting to me bc of the similarities between him n sharla both of them bonding early on n #her being implied to have a crush on him while he explicitly has a crush on luna but thats not what we're talking about rn)#but none of those reasons really apply to kaoru n she has the reason of Him Saying He Killed Someone to feel more justified in directing #all her stress about their situation n the anxiety crawling up her throat about luna potentially choosing someone else over her onto him

honestly i think a big part of why ranma has fared better than some others over time is because the gender stuff wasn't really the main thing. there's always some other shit going on, simultaneously or with more focus

#one example being konatsu #there's the whole ~oh she's a male kunoichi~ but then it already has a different joke set up it diverts to #so it ends up feeling more like that other thing is the schtick and not really her gender (compare to tsubasa? if my memory serves me right #like. in a bunch of crazy/assholery/stupidity #if the reader see the gender shit as part of the crazy (as was perhaps intended) sure #but if you read the gender shit as normal it still ends up working #ranma #theres also that in universe the characters are used to ranma's curse so its literally normal

#im posting this very late because i was sort of weary of how it came out and ended up messing w it until it was like 4am oops.#and i have plans tmrw so... oh well! i did my best and ill put it out while i can!#and i tried to make the scene match barnard's colors lol #finn's ocs #finn's art #i know i said id do more sillay stuff with the simpler screentone only style but i had a couple more of these in me #and this is the first piece im making thats like an actual part of the story too rather than just setting stuff for fun #i wanna write something to go with it too but for now ill just sort of briefly explain the context in the tags here:#barnard has a pretty bad case of OCD and his compulsions have made it difficult to make friends in the past #he was never outright bullied or anything but people just didnt really have the patience to deal with it #he has compulsions that include stuff like walking through doors until it feels right and needing things to be perfectly aligned #which in group settings has lead to people having to wait for him to finish his rituals and join them #they might find it tolerable at first but eventually they grow impatient and hes just... not invited to stuff anymore #but juno is a newer member of the guild who ends up frequenting the same library. hes also kinda a little weird #and they dont become fast friends or anything but just sort of naturally spend time in the same place #though they never plan meetups they eventually fall into a routine. around the same time theyd just both be at the library #and read next to each other. and maybe talk a bit. and eventually they end up walking back to the guildhall together #since theyre going to the same place after all. and juno always waits for barnard outside the door #eventually barnard asks if this bothers him. juno kinda just tells him 'of course it does' without any malice or anything. just a statement #barnard is surprised and apologizes and juno says not to. but the next day juno doesnt show up at the usual time.#barnard assumes hes committed somekinda more by bringing it up. he ends up staying there late reading to get his mind off it & not ruminate #but when he leaves juno is in fact still waiting for him down the hall (see pic) having collected a bunch of books literally abt ocd #he fell asleep bc barnard stayed later than expected. and hes an eepy guy generally. and also one very bad at expressing himself #but now barnard gets that juno's 'of course it [bothers me]' had the implication of 'but its worth it' which no friend has previously done.#and from the interaction juno was also able to understand that this isn't something barnard just does for the hell of it so. he studies.#and checks a bunch of stuff out because he thinks it could help his friend too (theres ocd workbooks and such- i remember working w them)#and thats the point where they became more ''friends'' than ''pleasant library acquaintances''#from there on they also do get into juno's problems. whole other bag of worms. but this specific scene is more about bernard from his pov #sorry about when i said briefly explain. i lied </3 #but compared to the whole sequence im picturing its brief so shhh

#;ooc #ooc #;d.ante #i like that it has some reminiscences to how paintings depicted the actual d.ante (fashion wise)#like the pointy shoes; the triangle shape on his chest that is like the one he has on d.omenico's painting #the laurel crown; the long robes; the use of red and black mainly #while still holding onto this fantasy game vibe look; like he just fits into f.go perfectly #the index and middle finger together making a reference to c.hrist (c.hristian iconography) as paintings often depicted this type of pose #a reference to the actual d.ante being c.hristian i assume #the spirals/circle-like patterns inside his robe #usually we tend to see those type of patterns when concepts like despair or madness want to be conveyed #it also fits with the whole layers of h.ell theme #also i might be tripping but the knot he has on his waist might be thisone type of knot made for rock climbing #which is also very fitting as a reference to canto 1; the start of the i.nferno part #bc it starts as he is in these dark woods and he sets out to climb up a small mountain to take a better view #but gets blocked by 3 beasts and so on so forth #i MIGHT be overanalizing it tho but if that was the case that would also be a nice lil detail #i really like when in the designs; there are these subtle elements that are characteristic of the figure in question #even if at first it might look random; which ok- sometimes it is; but also a lot of other times its not; but it gets underseen #its not bad if a design lacks on a 'meaning' behind it; the only difference is that if it has one; it adds a whole bunch more depth #because lets take as an example; a.rtoria/a.rthur's design #its not precisely charged of items/things that are reminiscing of king arthur but its still VERY iconic #it does convey a feeling that the character is either a king or a knight; so it works on that department #even if its lacking a bit on historical nudges and the such #it works in a different department; and thats good too because its afterall; a g.acha game and not a game that seeks historical accuracy #or like a.rash; but i feel like his design is meant more to convey an idea than a stylized cultural representation and/or show elements-#of his story; same as a.rtoria's/a.rthur's case #ANYWAYS WHATEVER #what the heck do i even know #dare i even add;; theres one pattern on his robe with 3 triangles;; the number 3 is also very iconic in the poem; 33 cantos 3 parts

i swear to god sega must be choosing which 3d sonic games they wanna rerelease at random because none of their choices here make any sense when i said they should focus more on making the 3d games more accessible instead of re releasing the classic games a million times this isnt what i meant

Maybe I'm just being pessimistic, but I don't see much hope for it being good or worthwhile. Inside my head for any IP out there, there are two versions. One is canon where the fun is had with dissecting and analysing and being grounded to the actual canon and the other is sandbox peaceful mode where anything goes. and thats the dream

#thinking about the whole thing about how REALLY bill is yeah. evil and scummy and does not want to be redeemed and the canon would not be #improved if he was #but i havent watched the show since i was a child and to me until I rewatch it (i most likely will not) and so i generally remember bill fo #being theatrical and over the top and generally being really odd #its kind of like #theres a billion ways people have interpreted The Actual Show (+ books)#like a bunch of retellings #i think if it came out more recently and maybe had a more mature tone i think i'd be a bit off-put with how insistant people are with makin #bill cipher a pines member #plus with hindsight of what he did to ford. brief mentions of melodramatic violence in passing is way less grounded than the ford stuff #and i think as it is it rubs me the wrong way a little when people put forth that its the Pines who are making him Become Good #but for now i just sit in my happy sweet spot where every interperetation is a differet Version detatched from canon and each other #like a fairytale or something #gravity falls #cookie rambles
