“He wonders…” TWST boys dreaming about their crush (Savanaclaw)

For someone who sleeps a lot, he dreams nothing. No dreams when he sleeps whatsoever, which is honestly amazing.

The only time he’ll ever start to dream in his sleep is when he slowly fell in love with you. He dreams of the two of you lying beneath a tree in each others’ arms, looking above the clouds that blanketed the sky while the smile around you both… and he wakes up abruptly in the middle of class. “I’m quite surprise you woke up before I could even call you, Kingscholar,” the professor stated, actually impressed. He scowls slightly, grumbling while having the faintest pink hue dusting his cheeks over how “you” ruined his sleep schedule (which is 25/8-).

Leona can’t sleep without dreaming of something with the two of you together, which makes him less than pleased over the fact he feels strange whenever he has those dreams. It’s confusing him: he doesn’t know if he likes it or not.

He doesn’t avoid you, but he doesn’t tell you that you’re always on his mind even when he closes his eyes. You’re still there with him. Slowly, Leona would come to accept the fact that he does dream of you, in the Afterglow Savana in a dress fit for royalty, you smiling and giggling… he’s more comforted in his sleep when he dreams of you.

But he gets tired. Tired of all that are dreams about you. He wants it reality. He wants this to be real. When he grabs you by the hand and turns you around, emerald eyes calm but masks anxiousness bore into yours. “Herbivore, I love you,” and he prays in his heart deep down that his dreams come true. <3

Ruggie Bucchi

Does he dream? Well, yes, but it’s usually about food. His dreams are pretty much what you expect before you met him: donuts and memories of his childhood with his grandmother. It always makes him happy. All his dreams are related to what makes him happy. And now? He dreams of you, which is slightly overpowering his dreams of millions of donuts he sits on like it’s a throne. Ruggie dreams of you wearing a crown of daisies while you walk over to him, giving him a ring of daisies with a dandelion on the top like it’s a big jewel.

Ruggie doesn’t openly tell you he dreams of you, it’s embarrassing and maybe creepy to tell your friend you were dreaming of them doing some awfully lovey-dovey stuff. You two were friends after all, right?

Somehow, Ruggie can’t help but brew scenarios of the both of you holding hands together, eating donuts in a field of dandelions together, and blowing them into the wind as you laugh joyfully with the wind. He can’t help but smile. However, he also can’t help but dream of the past with you: how you celebrated his birthday with him, when he celebrated yours, when you both went to the Vargas Camp with together… you never failed to make him smile giddily. He subconsciously blushes and closes his eyes, wishing you were really there to experience all that he dreams of.

“Ruggie! There you are!” He whipped his head around to see you, the faint pink blush of his became crimson realising you’re here. Perhaps he could dream another day. <3

Jack Howl

Jack is not much of a dreamer and prefers to realistically look forward to what he can do and what he’s supposed to do, such as watering his cacti and going to class respectively. Again, not really much of a dreamer.

As he falls in love with you, the dreams start to flower in his head, blooming like flowers in his head. He couldn’t help but dream of you in his arms as he takes in your scent and melt into your warmth and press a sweet kiss on your head… errrr… o-or maybe just the two of you watering the cacti in his room together while giggling through the morning. Ah, he feels embarrassed that he’s thinking of such romantic things of his own friend. Jack knows that it’s very clear he has a crush on you, but how should he react?

Whenever Jack dreams, he’ll be slightly dazed with a slight agape, his eyes would be half lidded as his tail swish left and right, dusting the floor. His cheeks pink as he dreams about flowery dreams of you and him together. What’s a wolf gotta do to just tell you straight up he feels so enamoured by you to the point he dreams of you in class. Luckily, he doesn’t get caught but finds himself asking Epel more and more with the latter asking him “You’ve never not paid attention before. What’s up dude? Yer good?” When he confessed to Epel about his dreams of you, the petite boy smirked.

“Yer love em lots Jack. Just tell em and give it a shot. No need to fear Jack yer a good guy and I’m sure they’ll love ya too my man!” He gives a thumbs up, leaving Jack a bit confident and reassured. When he sees you again the next day in class, his heart skipped a beat when he saw you smile at him.

“Jack! You called me here to find you? What’s up?” You laughed a little, smiling warmly at you. “I have something to tell you…” he started, and he breathes in and exhales, cheeks tinted red. Here goes nothing… <3

In honor of the sleepover bday card (Tysm for these, yana) do you have any hcs about their sleeping habits? How long they sleep, sleeping positions, any bedtime routines and the like?

I got the first ask back in autumn I think (yikes), and with each new bday card I kept thinking “I really should write this one faster” lol With the new theme for those cards, as amazing as it is (we’re obsessed), there is a chance that they might drop some crucial information about the topic of this post! Which would mean the most horrible thing – there is a chance that my hc might contradict canon…!! 😱

Jokes aside, please keep in mind that I write them without diving into the new cards. Which is exactly the point I guess – those are headcanons after all…

Anyways…

Riddle – he has a pretty strict regimen, and just like some other boys in the cast, he gets very obviously sleepy around the same time every day. The cutest eepiest slow blinks… He goes to sleep pretty early, maybe around 10 PM, and he is very strict with others in that regard as well, but in actuality sometimes night becomes his opportunity for a “me time” when he can get a little self-indulgent and read a book instead. He knows that he shouldn’t do it, and that he’ll be tired and irritable the next day, but it would be a lie to say that Riddle absolutely never does that. Once he discovers books that aren’t encyclopedias or study guides, he’ll start doing it more often… He also looks like an angel when he sleeps! And he drools a little bit, but also pouts adorably. He also loves pushing his face against the pillow sometimes and hugging it. He’d probably cuddle or press his cheek against someone if he got to sleep with another person…

Ace – a fighter, not a lover. If he sleeps with someone, he’ll steal both the blanket and the second pillow somehow. He’ll also kick and punch and occasionally even nibble a little, just to drool all over the other person and/or a pillow. But also, he wakes up during the night a lot. It’s not like he has insomnia, but sometimes he finds it difficult to fall back asleep, so he ends up just hanging out, scrolling internet on his phone and watching his roommates sleep. Well, mostly Deuce, because his bed is the closest. And even though Ace himself is a pretty obnoxious sleeper, sometimes he can spend like an hour just giggling at poor Deuce… Jokes on Ace though: because of his sleepless shenanigans he hates waking up! He is never rested enough..!

Deuce – he mumbles in his sleep and moves a little… you know when a dog starts suddenly whining and “running” while sleeping because it dreams of chasing someone? That’s Deuce. He is not too active at night, but Ace saw him punching the air once and saying something like “serves you right”, and Ace had to bite his own hand not to laugh loudly waking everyone up. Deuce also says embarrassing stuff sometimes. He also called Ace an idiot in his sleep at least 5 times. He wakes himself up doing that sometimes, but pretty rarely. When he does though, he usually sits up on his bed and takes a couple of moments to figure out what’s going on. Ace loves talking with him when he is in this confused stage…

Trey – he probably falls asleep pretty fast because he gets tired by the end of his busy days. But he never really feels properly rested, even though he sleeps a normal amount of hours… is it because he sleeps on his stomach? He also looks kind of angry when he’s sleeping, as if he’s seeing some very bad dreams. But he never really remembers them when he wakes up, maybe he doesn’t see any bad dreams at all! But it’s not unusual for him to frown and squeeze a pillow or a blanket in a very tight grip while he’s sleeping. He also doesn’t really snore, but sighs every now and then, so a potential roommate might hear a very deep annoyed and disappointed sigh from Trey, only to look at him and see that he’s just sleeping… If he was to sleep with someone though, he’d probably have a hard time relaxing and would wait until the person is asleep. Especially if it’s Riddle.

Cater – he spends the majority of the night in his phone lol he doesn’t even have much to do there, he just scrolls through Magicam or watches videos on topics he isn’t really interested in. And he is sleepy when he does that, he recognises that he should probably go to sleep already, but he can’t quite beat this habit, so he just keeps sleeping for like 3-5 hours a day. He wouldn’t do it if he had someone to sleep with though! Or at least he thinks that, but he’d probably still spend the majority of the night chatting with the person instead lol For now he gets away with it because he snoozes during the classes, but whenever he hears someone talk about how bad it is for your health to cling to your phone instead of sleeping, he gets mildly annoyed.

Leona – a pretty seamless transition between his “just napping” and “sleeping” lol Sometimes he naps after dinner and then at some point it becomes “well it’s night already anyways so might as well go to sleep”. And then he wakes up during the night and walks around his dorm while everyone’s asleep… and goes right back because he is pretty bored, and there isn’t much to do. He changes his positions a lot throughout the night, but usually ends up sleeping on his back – it’s the most comfortable position to him. It’s not unusual to see him sleeping on his side facing the wall, or on his stomach with his butt in the air for some reason. Leona is a pretty quiet sleeper, but sometimes he makes little sniffing sounds. Sometimes he makes one (1) snore and wakes himself up and looks shook for a moment or two. He also calls himself a capricious prince, but sometimes he actually prefers to sleep on the floor. Not all the time though, he loves his bed as well. He also hates the idea of sleeping with someone, but it’s not like he would bother to wake up and tell the other person to leave if he was in this situation.

Ruggie – if he is in a very good mood, well-fed and comfortable and safe, he is a happy snoring starfish. He drools a lot, and even when he doesn’t snore, his breathing is still pretty loud and a bit hoarse, but it also sounds like he is pretty happy. But that doesn’t happen all the time, for the most part he curls into a ball and snores quietly every now and then, with his ears twitching, as if he is constantly trying to still be aware of his surroundings. For the most part he is a light sleeper and doesn’t even sleep for more than 5-6 hours, but when he gets especially tired, he doesn’t wake up easily. He hated waking up at night because when it happens, he has to get comfortable again – he wants his pillow to be super cold, but it’s already a little sweaty and all warm! This is the worst feeling.

Jack – as we know, he always goes to sleep at the same time, and he gets very sleepy at 10 PM. He wakes up pretty early though, probably the earliest in his entire dorm, at around 5 AM. It’s not as hot when it’s this early, plus he really loves the solitude: he feels like he gets more shit done this way, and of course it gives him plenty of time to exercise and jog. As for his sleeping habits, he doesn’t move at all when he sleeps. He just lies on his side, hugs the pillow and sleeps… similarly to Deuce, Jack gets those sleeping puppy moments, but his are a bit different: sometimes Jack growls in his sleep, he also frowns a lot. There are rare moments when he sleeps with his tongue out and breathes through his mouth, but it happens mostly when it’s too hot, and he starts throwing away pillows and blankets without waking up when it happens. He gets hot pretty easily… He also drools a little less than Ruggie, but still a lot.

Azul – he sleeps for exactly 7.5 hours each night to optimise his time, and he is an extremely cautious and light sleeper. Unless he is absolutely exhausted, he won’t fall asleep anywhere other than his bedroom, behind closed and locked doors. It’s not like he is expecting an assassin or two at all times to attack him at any moment, and life on the land isn’t as dangerous as his hometown underwater, but isn’t comfortable with the idea of becoming too comfortable, so to speak. It’s a habit, I guess. Any unexpected sound or movement would wake him up. Unless he is absolutely exhausted, that is; we’ve seen him falling sleep with his head on Riddle’s shoulder in ch6 after all… Azul also lives tiny and dark spaces, so he hides under his blanket. Even though his bed is pretty big, Azul doesn’t take up that much space at all, curling up with his knees almost touching his chin. He also absolutely wouldn’t call himself a cuddler, but it’s not really true: he hugs his pillow a lot with his arms and legs, and if he was to sleep with someone, he would probably hug them as well. It sounds cute, but he is actually too rough sometimes because he is used to grabbing things. He could also pinch the person he sleep with… octopus habits… poor Idia is covered in bruises :(

Jade and Floyd – they have different sleeping patterns, but a similar “base” for it. They go to sleep at different times, and since they share a room, it’s kind of a problem. Jade goes to bed pretty much at the same time each night; sometimes because he gets tired, sometimes to spite Floyd a little by saying “I am so tired, can you please turn off the lights already?” Sometimes he genuinely wants to sleep, but it’s Floyd who is annoying him… and every now and then there are nights when Floyd is absolutely exhausted and goes to sleep early, and Jade takes it as an opportunity to troll him back by suddenly deciding to clean a terrarium while humming a song. Why now of all times? A sudden strike of inspiration <3 You can either blame neither of them, or both of them for that: both are aware that they’re annoying the other by not letting him sleep. Anyways, when it comes to their sleeping habits, both are swimmers. They either move their bodies in the same manner as if they’re swimming (sometimes it just looks like Floyd is aggressively humping his bed but that’s not it I swear), or rotate. Because eels love rotating, the second option happens surprisingly often, so both of them are at risk of falling from their beds and rotating on the floor until they bonk each other with their heads and proceed to sleep on the floor. The funny thing is, when they sleep underwater, they’re pretty calm and don’t move as much; I guess they do miss swimming… Floyd is also more of a cuddler than Jade, but Jade is more of a muncher. If Idia sleeps with both of them, the bite marks are going to be Jade’s…

Kalim – it looks like he sleeps without a care in the world, which isn’t really the case because his bad experiences have taught him to wake up very quickly and to react to sudden noises. He is actually pretty tender and capricious as well, if something about his sleeping conditions isn’t perfect, he’s going to react. Every now and then Kalim just goes to Jamil with “hey, Jamil? I can’t sleep” and asks for them to sleep together, or insists of chatting because he isn’t sleepy anyway. Kalim loves not sleeping alone, but talking through the night is something that Kalim absolutely adores. They used to do it a lot when they were kids, and always got in trouble for that (esp considering that Kalim sleeps for the entire day after a sleepless night)…Kalim also clings a lot, but then he suddenly gets too hot and pushes Jamil away without even waking up. But then he gets a bit chiller and starts clinging again. He drools and makes cute little sounds, and anyone other than Jamil would probably find sleeping Kalim as adorable as one would find a babbling toddler. Jamil, however, is very tired…

Jamil – another cautious sleeper, he is almost never 100% asleep, so in a way he is worse than Azul. He does get sleepy though, he is indeed very tired, and it sucks because the tiny window of time before he falls asleep is his only opportunity to get some “me time” and read a book or play games on his phone, but he never does that because he is always exhausted. So after his sleeping preparations, washing his face, brushing his hair and all that stuff, he just wants to sleep… he also hates sleeping with someone, because they (let’s be honest mostly Kalim) would accidentally tug on Jamil’s hair, plus it’s too hot to sleep with someone on a small bed, plus he isn’t really a cuddler anyway. Anyways, he goes to sleep like an hour after Kalim’s sleepy time, and wakes up ~3-4 hours before him. Which isn’t enough time to get a nice rest, but… let’s hope that when Jamil gets to travel and has a hotel room all for himself, he’ll have his first ever nice sleep…

Vil – one of the strictest ones when it comes to his sleeping regimen! Beauty sleep is important, discipline is important, and if one has to work or study during the night, they’re just very bad at time management! Of course, there are days when Vil has to stay up late too… but he hates when it happens; he just wants to have his evening beauty routine, wash his face without a rush, take a nice shower, apply an overnight beauty mask, brush his hair, put on his sleepwear, relax in his bed and have a nice deep sleep from 10:30 PM to 5:30-6:00 AM. Oh, he also wears a sleeping mask and even earplugs sometimes, and also tries to teach himself not to use his phone while in bed. It just ruins his mood, and it’s bad for one’s health too, but he still gives in and scrolls Magicam in bed sometimes. And when it comes to sharing a bed with someone, he is a bit conflicted – it’s not like he hates cuddling, in fact, he enjoys spending the night in his loved one’s embrace, and he doesn’t even get too pissy about feeling hot, sweaty or uncomfortable in that situation, but… I guess Vil just loves having a big bed all for himself lol This is his moment of privacy. So whether he’ll spend the night alone or cuddling depends entirely on his mood that day. He is a very quiet sleeper, and the most that could be heard from him is a cute quiet moan when he’s being disturbed by something.

Rook – does he sleep? Or is he too busy being in everyone’s walls? His roommate doesn’t quite get it: when he falls asleep, Rook isn’t there yet, and when he wakes up, Rook’s already left. He knows that Rook sometimes spends the night with Vil, but… In actuality, Rook does sleep, but he is very strategic about his sleeping schedule. He doesn’t sleep much during the night, 4-5 hours is his max because he has too much to do! Sometimes he takes short 20 minutes powernaps during the day while he’s hiding around. This man is, once again, a creature. Also, even though one would say it’s impossible to catch Rook sleeping, people do see him sleeping sometimes – it’s just that he learned how to do it with his eyes open and while sitting up. Which is… a bit scary, so anyways! When it comes to his bedtime routine, after all the beauty stuff is done, he spends quite a lot of time to admire the pictures that he took and the sketches that he drew of everyone that day – this is a very important ritual to him! But despite that, he actually really enjoys sharing a bed with someone, be it for intimacy or just for cuddling. He hugs and kisses a lot, even when the other person is already asleep. He also loves watching him sleep, which is not creepy at all!

Epel – he shouldn’t use his phone in his bed, but he does! When he manages to sneak it under his blanket, that is. But it’s also not unusual for him to fall asleep while holding a phone and to have it fall on his pretty little face, waking him up. So he tries not to overdo it… he is a very cute sleeper though! He makes sounds, but a little weird ones, like little whines or even tiny mewls sometimes. And sometimes he giggles very cutely! What kind of dreams are you having, Epel?! Anyways, he is a deep sleeper that munches on his pillow sometimes. It’s better than sucking a thumb, and I won’t say that Epel just taught himself out of that fairly recently, but I also won’t say that this isn’t the case. Alright, no more bullying lol I think he sleeps on his side while hugging a blanket. Very adorable, until he starts snoring or swearing in his sleep…

Idia – a lot of times he just falls asleep in front of his PC. Especially now that he doesn’t have Ortho to share a room with, but even when Ortho was his roommate, he’d go to the sleeping mode at some point and tell Idia to go to sleep as soon as possible, Idia would reply with “yeah yeah I’m going” and play games for 2 more hours until falling asleep in his chair… Sometimes he wakes up at like 5 AM, realising that he’s been sleeping for a while, and lazily crawls on top of his bed without even changing into his pjs. He doesn’t really have much of a routine… He also curls up when he’s sleeping, looking like a cute kitten, and you almost feel bad for him somehow when you look at him. Is it because his relaxed face is so pathetic? Or should we feel bad because of how troubled he is when he’s asleep? Anyways, Idia either sleeps for 3-4 hours and naps throughout the day, or sleeps for 10 hours and feels weird when he finally wakes up. He is also super not used to sleeping with someone else and would be uncomfortable, but there is a part of Idia that wouldn’t mind getting backhugged by Azul (until he starts pinching) or… sometimes Idia wonders if Muscle Crimson hugs his possibly existing wife when they sleep.

Ortho – I guess not applicable this time :( But he does consider himself charging in his sleeping mode to be his sleeping routine! Sometimes he “wakes up” earlier than everyone and just flies around the dorm though. Human!Ortho would be a very nice sleeper though, he would change poses like 10 times per night, even kick poor Idia a little. He would prefer to sleep in Idia’s bed even when they aren’t roommates anymore, and he would probably be one of the biggest cuddlers in the cast!

Lilia – no regimen, his sleeping schedule is a mess, pretty similar to Idia’s. He used to be very good at it when he was younger, but now he just plays games all night lol And then after saying good night to his internet friend, he decides to go to bed and… stumbles upon some useless junk in his room and decides to play with it! It’s okay, old people don’t need to sleep all that long, if at all sometimes. It’s not unusual for Lilia to completely ditch sleeping, but he can’t do it for more than one day… When it comes to position, Lilia just falls flat on his bed and starts snoring loudly. He has that dad snore… He also changes positions a lot, and he could kill a guy with how suddenly he moves and rolls. Sometimes he also sleeps upside down, hanging from his bed’s canopy. He also doesn’t mind sleeping with someone, he is pretty used to it! In a lot of ways… but people sleeping with him get punched and kicked unless he hugs them tightly, so not everyone is really up to that.

Silver – after his evening training, his nighttime routine and checking on his father to tell him to go to sleep already, Silver comes back to his room… and sleeps. Even his evening routine doesn’t take that long – I don’t think he uses any products on his face or even brushes his hair much. He washes himself, changes into his pjs and goes to bed… And for the most part he sleeps on his back, looking like a certain cursed princess. There isn’t much to say about the way he sleeps, but he breathes very quietly and cutely, and looks absolutely stunning. His roommates really want to kiss him sometimes… but not a single one dared to do it so far. Silver also doesn’t mind sleeping with someone, but to him it wouldn’t really make s difference one way or another.

Sebek – amazingly strict regimen that he follows dutifully! He’s never late, he always wakes up exactly one minute before his alarm and turns it off! He goes to bed at 11 PM and wakes up at 5 AM! And it doesn’t make him sleepy in the slightest – in fact he has too much energy to burn and too much things to do! That being said, sometimes he wakes up randomly in the middle of the night and has a hard time falling back asleep. I guess he’s just too agitated and overly excited sometimes… But he tries to quiet his thoughts and get back to sleep as soon as possible. When it comes to his sleeping habits, he is surprisingly… chill. One would expect him to be more obnoxious, but he yells in his sleep extremely rarely! Once every 2-3 months… so you never know when it’s going to happen next. He also looks at his liege’s portrait before going to sleep and when he wakes up, this is the first and last thing he sees every day, and it warms his heart and fills him with determination. As for sleeping with someone, he doesn’t mind if he has to do it, but he doesn’t see a point in that either. A silly boy…

Malleus – sometimes it feels like he doesn’t sleep at all. Maybe he doesn’t really need to sleep as much as humans do? Which is kind of ironic, but anyways, it’s not unusual for his bed to be empty at night because Malleus suddenly decided that he isn’t really sleepy, and figured he’d rather go on a walk. Sometimes he just walks around the dorm, but a lot of times he goes outside to get some fresh air. He loves the time of night when everything is quiet and everyone’s asleep, he finds it melancholic… perfect for drowning in deep thoughts, admiring gargoyles and reading. Anyways, when he does sleep, he almost doesn’t look alive: he breathes very quietly and looks so pale and cold… he actually gets much colder during the night, so he’d be naturally drawn to another person’s heat. He was very clingy when Lilia used to sleep in his bed~ He still is sometimes…

Oh wow I have a fun twst story

So, I am studying marine biology and I know a bit about fish and stuff, yk? So book 3 was REALLY interesting for me.

PS: maybe I am explaining things badly because my English is rather bad...sorry 😔

Half the time I was trying to figure out how tf the octotrio's anatomy works and the other half was spent admiring various fish in the coral sea (I saw some really weird shit...anyway)

So, I saw your post where Floyd grabbed and basically squished you. The same happened to me, except that I know the weak spot of such fish. The gills, they use them to breathe. However if you gently push in some more water, they have like a harder time breathing yk? Or...if you want to be mean, put like a finger in and it will HURT

So...I did that and wow Floyd cried out really loudly. I almost felt bad 😀

Jade was confused and looked over to me and I told the crew what to do if they squish them and yeah...they stopped real quick 😇

Its funny because I knew that(I read a lot about marine life and I used to want to study Marine biology too!) I just completely forgot in the moment cuz I panicked. Good on you for not panicking like that, do what you gotta honestly. Don't let those brutes bully you! /pf

[disclaimer] these are NOT meant to be taken as canon, it's just me having fun with characters i hc as latinos (as a latino that lives in south america)

★ RUGGIE BUCCHI (brazilian)

Enjoyed carnavais (carnavals) a lot as a child. It was the highlight of his month, happening every february. He would watch the carnaval every year with the other kids from his neighborhood. If you enjoy watching football with him he would save money and gift you a shirt from your favorite brasilian player (because it would be very awkward if you were wearing a shirt from the opposite team). It just fills him with pride for his country.

Shares "pé de moleque" or "cocada" with you he made because he missed eating it. Will also be very proud of himself if you enjoy it, but if not, he could always cook another brasilian dessert.

Was born in the Pacific ocean, near the part that Chile and Peru share, in the chilean part. Is used to earthquakes and is scarily calm during them, even when he is in land he just doesn't care about them.

When he was a kid, the tweels used to say they didn't understand his spanish as a joke-that's-not-a-joke-but-it-is because chileans tend to use "wea" (thing) a lot on their vocabulary. He also speaks very fast in spanish, something that the tweels are used to.

Doesn't care about football, but does care when his team is against Peru because the tweels will force him to watch only to get scarily silent when Chile scores a goal.

"GOOOOL CHILENO" (GOAL FROM THE CHILEANS) and then the tweels both look at Azul in silence. And they stare. And Azul starts sweating.

Watched 31 minutos as a kid and is eager, but he will not admit it, to show it to you too. He will try his best to translate, bare with him, it's not his fault it doesn't have english subtitles. His favorite was Tulio, because the man was just trying not to go broke.

Fights with the tweels over food. The endless "is this peruvian or chilean food" debate. Expects you to take his side, take his side, please, he's your boyfriend.

★ JADE LEECH (peruvian)

Was born in the Pacific ocean too, the peruvian part. His spanish borders more the "neutral" spanish, since he doesn't use much peruvian slang, but a few words do slip sometimes, when he's with Floyd.

Like other peruvians, he's very passionate about peruvian food, and he claims Peru has the best food ever. If you don't agree he will smile menacignly and stare at you.

Listens to cumbia while cleaning Mostro Lounge during closing shift. But he listens to the ones that are about heartbreak and tragic stuff so he can clean dramatically. Will show you a lot of his favorite songs and maybe, even dedicate one to you.

Probably laughs at the memes Floyd sends him about the chaotic things that happen at Peru daily. Like that time Tasha from the backyardigans and Peppa pig fought in the middle of the street.

Got into a fight with Azul over including peruvian food and chilean food in Mostro Lounge, because they couldn't agree over who's country owned the food. At the end they just agreed to not include the food and left it at that because neither side wanted to agree the other was right.

Eats causa de pulpo (causa made of octopus) a lot. Probably his favorite peruvian dish. He will also introduce you to a lot of his gastronomy, it's really good, believe him.

★ FLOYD LEECH (peruvian)

Unlike Jade, his spanish has a LOT of peruvian slang. He also speaks fast, not as fast as Azul though.

Like the average peruvian teenager, he listens to "El faraón love shady: el Dios de la versatilidad", which is a popular peruvian singer that became popular because teenagers find him funny. He sent a lot of his music videos to the whatsapp group chat the three of them have, much to Azul's dismay.

"I AM HAPPY, YA ME SUPERÉ, YA NO ANDO MISIO COMO AYER" (i am happy, i outdid myself, i'm no longer broke like yesterday)

"Floyd please lower your voice, you are scaring the customers..."

He's constantly snacking with peruvian snacks he bought to bring to NRC so he wouldn't get hungry. Floyd spend his allowance in them so he has boxes full of them in his room.

Will confess to you with Azul (against his will) and Jade's (that agreed, amused) help. He will bring a speaker, a sign that has "Will you be my s/o" written with different colors, and a flower bouquet.

Flirting with nonhuman au feathery characters except there's so much confusion because a lot of the usual behaviors for either side doesn't really translate at times (plus not a lot of humans in the AU means that all the humans have differing accounts of good flirting techniques plus small sample size so not sure what's a good commonality)

So the Reader/Yuu does a last ditch effort to flirt via courting dance. They got a cloak/robe on to help emulate some of wing movements and they are all nice and decked out with some colorful things.

(anyway i like calling him the knight of dawn but also thats too many words for a name im going to be repeating a lot throughout this post so dawn knight)

okay so. i was thinking about a fic to write where a character had a part of themselves appear somewhere else? like ive been getting into omniscient reader but i have a diff story im trying to commit to rn so i cant really write something with it when i dont really know shit that happens besides like end game spoilers lOl

but i find the idea of like the 49/51 (?) interesting? i think thats the right numbers. no context to people who dont know what that means but that part broke me even though all i know about omniscient reader is by reading a shit ton of orv fanfiction. my heart man... sob.

but so anyways my mind wandered to the dawn knight

kudos to that like one fic where the dawn knight's soul appeared and attached itself to yuu except i read it when i didnt even know who he was but i thought maybe he was a buddy of lilia so im just reading and getting confused on like no why you no like lilia what (also he doesnt remember iirc and i think that was just like a instinctual feeling cause yknow humans vs fae??) but uh i know context now lMFAO

but then maybe it becomes clear that this dawn knight (who needs an actual name. dawn sounds too on the nose and i dont think lilia associates dawn with positive feelings considering when maleanor died didnt it turn dawn or something. and then they broke down because shes DEAD.???)

think about it in like a. okay im pulling out honkai star rail examples now. but think of it maybe like dan feng and dan heng where they're like reincarnations of each other? but not the same person? (some people think of them as still the same considering i think(? its been a hot minute since i went through story) those memories of those reincarnations are then shared to other incarnations to help them in high elder duty thingy whatever its called but i think of them as entirely different people who happen to look similar)

i guess you could view it as a 'i once was [this], but now im this and im not the same person who did all those things'

EDIT: I AM WRONG. 2.5 spoilers but its mentioned that someone made dan heng remember his past life so its NOT canon that they remember their past life. idk maybe theres some lilia treating him as another son since like. all three of them are orphans who were taken in???? like its implied parallel of lilia being taken in by the mal... dRACONIA family sorry i forgot the last name om. and the dawn knight being taken in by the whoever is in charge. like the dad of henrik(?) and that person whose name i cant remember i think it was leah who the dawn knight liked and married? but so anyway they both got taken in by a family and owe them a debt and fight for them (and care for them. although idk about henrik ew, but he was also like. wanting princess glow(???) which could supposedly grant wishes i think to like cure their ill father, and saying that the dawn knight should do it for leah or something? i cant remember but he convinced him with something something leah)

i dont know where im going with this thought but like. i remember the dawn knight said something like. if things could be different? but like it cant be because they've gone too far now to forgive each other? but like he wanted there to be peace.

i remember thinking about lilia's wish in the wish upon a star event, maybe it was similar i cant recall exactly

like the dawn knight expressed regret that it had to be this way and wanted things to change but it was far too late. but like. he never did that stuff now (well lilia will remember so poor grandpa but. he's also been really forgiving towards humans when doing it for someone? like he endures it? like when he was searching for a way to hatch malleus and these people were really against lilia for being fae when he just existed, and he didnt fight back because it would paint a bad picture for the draconias? there was another example related to silevr but i cant remember it im. not what i was thinking about but theres also when he contemplated killing baby silver but changed his mind because he'd been trying to teach malleus to like. 'walk in time with his neighbor' and so and so and i forgot what he said but that how could he do that when he should be like setting an example for malleus or something right?)

also silver learning who his parents are in a maybe less traumatic way (like NOT running away knowing malleus' mom might die and then oh shit the ceiling collapsed and IS THAT THE ENEMY oh god please dont let malleus' egg be hurt and then he shares the same face as me? and that ring-- cue silver hating himself and being dragged in by darkness and i am just sobbing my eyes out like no silver he loved you so much :((( )

and even if lilia still holds anything against the dawn knight. still has lingering feelings even towards this not-dawn knight. that he wouldnt want to condemn the dawn knight, and then have silver condemn himself for being of that blood even though he didnt even do anything yknow?

and then when lilia dies he can meet up with the ghosts of maleanor and raverne (is that spelled right? i genuinely cant remember the EN spelling but it was something like that. uhh.??) and i know thats sad but i want lilia to be able to spend more time with maleanor and raverne too yknow? but im not sure how to do that

maybe. like the. the the . council? i cant remember its name fshuidfh but those assholes who appeared when we made it to. blackscale(?) castle... ? i. forgor. maleficia(THATS GRANDMA RIGHT?? i get so confused by who is who in draconia) castle??

but like when we get there with malleus' egg and then maleanor dies

and theres just these voices of long dead old geezers who are bitches to lilia and i hate them and i dont know how they're still there and can talk but i dont want maleanor there because they're horrible. also they literally said her sacrifice was like noble or some shit like that and im just like BITCH- (also lilia is banned from the capital or something isnt he?? like i mean he can still visit the castle. but secretly. but still :( )

so i just think.

fully getting over stuff. heart demons. talking things out. lilia gets to talk about stuff for the first time in awhile (remember when like literally no one talked about the circumstances regarding malleus' birth or something so silver and sebek just had no idea what they were getting into??? and like i guess he could talk to baul? baur? idk which one is the one on EN i forgor. but idk man.)

not-dawn knight being a really good listener. being understanding, sharing his input where appropriate. and like he also gets some of his memories which put a lot of things into proper context. and so sharing thoughts of so and so. and just. basically this talk that spirals into moving on.

sharing frustrations, sharing things that never really got to be known.? like regrets, etc etc

since i think the last time they met was when silver father reveal, and time passed and he died so its just all these lingering things that never got to be said out loud for various reasons. like maybe because company is against so and so so to say something would be like idk maybe traitorous? i dont think thats the right word but words are hard and i keep forgetting words the moment i need them

its like. the unique point of view of talking about things between former enemies. like how they viewed things, etc etc

and then when lilias lived a full life, no regrets, he meets maleanor and raverne in the afterlife.

oh yeah also about his dorm i have no fucking idea. i honestly mostly forgot what each dorm represents but either ramshackle or diasomnia, which i know is like nobility or something? but anyway dawn knight married a princess, also i associate diasomnia with fae / briar valley which is related considering hes book 7 stuff so im pushing him there anyway

or maybe the mirror cant read him because his soul is fragmented. or maybe retcon and his soul isnt like that? idk but i like to think the other part of his soul is in the afterlife with his wife yknow? and eventually silver will be there and able to meet his mom and huggies, and acknowledging that these are who his parents are, but also that lilia is also his parent and the one who raised him yknow? there can be more than two parents in my eyes.

its just that his soul is like in half because of the part of him that wants to have seen silver grown. i think i said this earlier in the post but that since the last time he saw silver was as an infant (also he had blonde hair so-)

also wasnt infant silver asleep for like hundreds of years until it was either because someone who loved him came by (lilia) or because the spell finally wore off (which is what lilia thinks. i dont know where to put my two cents at tbh of which i think is right)

so dawn knight just sitting there in the afterlife like. ..man. my childs still not here. i mean. thats a good thing that they're not dead but like. i kinda wanna see them.

or well silvers the only one so i should be saying he but gidfhuj

From what I've been seeing it feels like PB is focusing on quantity over quality. Things like Obey Me, TWST, and Nu-Carnival has a sizeable group of characters, but they're not too huge so it allows them to flesh each one out to a certain extent, but then they can introduce a diverse set of cards on each of them so you're not starving too much.

WHB has not only has 6 Kings and one more on the way, but they also keep introducing more nobles and angels. In a way it's not bad, but this is why I seriously feel it is a case of quantity and not enough quality. From what I've seen in this community, characters that have been in the game since Day 1 are being super neglected. Then we a have every new L card released being paywalled, nightmare passes that also have the top rewards paywalled, are more frequent, even this time around the S+ card requires more gold keys and it doesn't have anything remotely special about it whereas the last S+ did which was extremely exclusive only. Honestly it's...really sad. Now you don't NEED these cards and I'm not asking for freebies, but in the end they are asking for your life savings for even just the decent stuff, and then you still have to deal with the gacha to do that.

I personally need a decent amount of characterization to really appreciate a character so I do appreciate the world building but no character has stuck with me yet. So everytime a new one is released I go: "Okay but what about like...the existing ones?" Our last one was Leraye, which I'm sorry, it's just a reskinned of his OG card and I found that really scummy which was probably why he was locked through achievements which...was the saving grace still it was the only time it happened. The story was nice though.

I don't want to come off as ungrateful and I probably am, but I just don't understand PB's decisions on what they're doing anymore. We can't use the "they're a small company" card, I'm sure they're not the only small company, but I don't have any sources, but so far this is the first time I seen company really just throw their community into a blender like this...then again I only played like 3 other gachas which isn't a lot.

This observation came right in time with how I'd like to pretty much introduce the game to new players that are flocking in.

PB's decisions as of late to change how we get currencies, paid banners, and the progression of the main story and character building has been a damn journey.

I don't think you're ungrateful, I wouldn't call anyone that honestly because as the consumer YOU are the the one, p2p or f2p, in the end that has be entertained by this nsfw game. The only one in existence that is catered to both women and men audiences. With that in mind, you'd expect to see something worth buying/taking up nearly 8gb of space on your phone for.

When the game was first teased, me and my friend were talking about it and she was overwhelmed by the amount of characters they kept showing, I met her through the Obey Me fandom, so that was our bread and butter for the majority of conversations. When I moved on to WHB, she didn't come with, she stayed for like maybe a week or two and dropped it. I forget mostly why which I could ask her again on her opinion.

But I'll let you in on something I saw the other day, the community over in LaDS has been having some issues with their banners/other gacha related things as well stating that this recent banner is driving players away. I don't play LaDS but PB isn't the only company it seems starting to switch things up when it comes to decisions.

The S+ cards confuse me because what they introduced was hey here's beach Rara (Raphael) and he has an adore mode, a story with mild spice, and you chats/more lore about this bitey boi. I had so much fun reading through that. Amy and Sitri's all we get are the likability things and well from the previous expectation? That made me shake my head. (also for the extra gold keys thing, apparently it's only that high if you want to get it early, the card is going into the banner immediately after the event so in theory we all literally could have waited to pull them so we wouldn't have to spend that amount of gold keys)

As far as content goes, I think ultimately there's too many characters to work with. If anyone on the staff has a brain like me, it would be very easy to neglect characters here and there. I also do not like that Gehenna has yet ANOTHER noble (sorry Amy) but other countries are lackin'.

All in all I hear you. Chapter 6 and Mammons/Amy's events though have me believing that the best has yet to come, these banners though....we will see... Maybe things will pop off when Asmodeus debuts..

When figuring what yami kawaii is about he is very intrigued he doesnt understand that most fashion trends/styles have true and nice meanings such as bringing awareness to mental health

He doesnt really understand why someone would dress outwardly “different” but that doesnt mean he doesnt think it looks good

He’ll get you little gifts of accessories, shoes, skirts, dresses, etc on random occasions

Trey Clover

Trey may be a little caught off guard when he first sees the fashion but he doesnt think anything bad about it

He really likes that it promotes mental health awareness but he was super concerned at first without knowing that

He’ll help you dye your hair

Trey doesn’t really see anything wrong with dressing in what makes you happy

If anyone makes fun of you or stares he’ll defend you in any situation

Cater is surprised like everyone else yet he is excited to talk to you about it more

He doesn’t really mind different styles unless it hurts yourself or others

He does admire the effort you put into your appearance everyday, plus your a girl so he already has a ton of respect for you

If you have a more toned down style then he may not even expect you were a gyaru (if he even knows what that is 💀) probably just thought you were some popular girl but doesnt even say anything

Dancing 'til the break of dawn - Pt12

<Pt11

(TWST Zombie apocalypse AU where Yuu beast tames just a little too close to the sun)

The stranger’s eyes widened in horror. “You’re right! I apologize! My name is Riddle Rosehearts!”

He talks weird, Yuu thought but, in the spirit of politeness, he decided not to say this aloud. He pressed a hand to his chest. “You can call me Yuu.”

Riddle stared at him, as if struggling to compute something. Maybe his first language was English? He’d seen a few English-speakers who had been confused by his name before, and it would explain the stiff way he spoke –.

“Er… and your family name is?”

Yuu blinked. “You don’t have to bother with any of that.”

Riddle looked extremely confused. “I really would prefer to be polite.”

“You can call me Yuu-san, if you really need to be ‘polite’,” Yuu said.

“I’m Ace Trappola,” Ace jumped in.

“Deuce Spade,” Deuce added, after he was elbowed in the side.

Riddle nodded, visibly taking a moment to commit this to memory, before turning his attention back onto Yuu, whose nerves were steadily fraying. “See? They don’t mind.”

Was this guy trying to be an asshole? Or was he just that socially inept?

Maybe Riddle really was being held here for his own safety.

Because if anyone in the apocalypse met him, they’d kill him in minutes.

No wonder Trey had made them leave their weapons outside. The trigger-happy Ace would have killed him by now if he’d had one of his beloved knives on him. It looked like he was still considering it.

The knife Ace had stashed in the back of Yuu’s waistband was uncomfortable against his skin. He was almost tempted to take it out and hand it off to his friend. Ace was clearly asking for it, standing closer than he usually preferred, the side of his hand pressing against Yuu’s leg. Palm open, waiting for him to set the weapon in it.

When had Yuu become the one who had to make all of the tough decisions? First with Deuce’s cigarettes, now with Ace’s murderous tendencies. This was a lot of trust to be putting in his judgment.

He’d helped kickstart the apocalypse! This trust was very misplaced!

Thankfully, Cater came to the rescue.

Who’s rescue? Who knows!

All that mattered was that he was quick to defuse the situation: “Hi! I’m Cater Diamond! I heard you were worried about me?”

The boy’s eyes widened, and his attention was easily stolen by Cater.

Ha, parasocial, Yuu thought.

Cater took a seat by his adoring fan on the couch, happily regaling Riddle with a tale of intrigue, betrayal, and – yeah, no, he was just ranting about what happened to his broadcasting station. It must be nice to commiserate with the, like, one other person who genuinely seemed to care about his broadcast.

Yuu felt a hand tug on his sleeve. Deuce, if he had to guess, since Ace was heading over to the window and Trey had disappeared into one of the side rooms – the kitchen, maybe. Hopefully. Yuu could really go for a cookie right now.

“Do you actually have a Thing about your last name?” Deuce asked.

Yuu raised an eyebrow. “Didn’t figure that out the first time I actively avoided telling you my family name?”

“Honestly? I just thought you were just in the mood to be an asshole.”

Privately, Yuu thought that he had to hand it to him. That was definitely something he’d do.

Privately.

He still had appearances to maintain, so he pressed a hand to his chest, frowning. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m always a pleasure to be around. My teachers used to put that on my report cards, so you know it’s true.”

He’d expected Deuce to play along. Maybe he’d make a joke along the lines of oh, you’re in the mood to be an asshole again. Or he’d huff and give up. Maybe he’d stuff Yuu into a closet again – there had to be one around here somewhere.

“You make it really hard to be concerned about you, man,” Deuce said instead, sighing.

Yuu gave him an odd look. “You don’t have to be… ‘concerned’. I’m fine.”

“I’m hoping you’re saying ‘fine’ in that you’re ‘attractive’, because that’s the only way I’m going to agree with you being ‘fine’.”

“You think I’m attractive?”

“... sure.”

“I don’t like how long it took you to say that.”

“And I don’t like that you’re trying to change the subject, but I’m not saying anything about it.”

“You kind of did…”

Deuce was speechless. Yuu had that effect on people.

The boy punched him in his good arm. Unfortunately, Yuu had this effect on people, too.

“Whatever. When we get out of the apocalypse, I’m sending your ass to a psych ward immediately.”

Yuu fought the urge to laugh. “Pass. I’d rather stay in the apocalypse.”

“See, that’s why.”

Yuu decided that he was going to concentrate on literally anything else. Not because he was losing the argument, but because he was growing bored of this conversation… obviously.

Ace had successfully gotten the window open. From the looks of it, someone had taken the time to paint the thing shut, something that would have usually been bested by Ace’s knives within seconds, but alas. In a move that was probably purely out of spite, Ace had wrenched it open. No design choices or clean air here. He stuck his head out to breathe in the rot that they had all become so accustomed to over the past few months.

Riddle Rosehearts seemed less than pleased by this development. “Do you always walk into other people’s houses and start moving things around?”

“Yeah,” said Ace.

Yuu was pretty sure that he was just saying this to annoy Riddle, but it was possible that he was being entirely honest there. It just felt like something he’d do.

“It’s not really your house, anyway,” Deuce pointed out, hesitantly. “I mean, unless you owned the place before all of this started…”

Riddle’s face flushed an embarrassed shade of red. “This was Trey’s house, actually, and he said that ‘his house is mine’, so it does belong to me.”

“That’s kind of a gray area,” Ace shrugged, unrepentant. “Unless Trey comes out here and tells me to close the window, I’m not doing it.”

Yuu pinched the bridge of his nose. Why was Ace like this? Must he antagonize every new person they meet?

Thankfully, he soon got his karmic punishment:

Trey poked his head out of the kitchen. “What do you all want to eat –?” His eyes caught on Ace and the open window. He sighed. “Please close that. I just got the smell out of here. And I don’t want you to let Yuu’s… ‘cat’ in on ‘accident’.”

Ace kicked the air, looking upset that he’d been called on his bluff. Especially since everyone seemed to be laughing at him (even Riddle was suppressing a smile).

Luckily for Ace, Yuu didn’t feel like teasing him within an inch of his life at the moment. He was too busy sulking. He hated Trey. The guy was, kind of, a kidnapper. And, even worse, he was a Grim anti! How could a person with zero redeemable qualities exist?!

“You said you wanted a couple of eggless recipes, Yuu?” Trey asked, smiling. “Help me cook, and I’ll write some down for you, okay?”

… okay, admittedly, the guy had one redeemable quality. Yuu followed him into the kitchen.

Trey had opened the kitchen window. Trey had just told Ace to close the one outside. Sure, this one didn’t lead directly to a fire escape, which meant it was less likely that Grim could come crawling in, but surely the smell would get in… then again, if Trey was cooking, he would need a way to ventilate the house.

Not that Yuu was entirely sure how Trey was cooking here at all.

Yuu stared at his only clue – a frankly egregiously large pot in the center of the room. His eyes fell to the hardwood floors beneath his socks. How was Trey heating things up? Back at the convenience store, there was a large hole in the ground that Ace had made into a makeshift firepit. Doing that here sounded like a fire hazard and a half.

He inched closer as Trey opened the pot, and his mouth dropped open.

Because there nestled in a couple of burning coals, was a few smaller pots.

“I’m stupid,” Yuu realized.

Trey just laughed. Which wasn’t great for Yuu’s self-esteem, but whatever.

Trey walked him through making a dough. It was kind of therapeutic, getting to punch something that didn’t have a face for once.

Dully, as he watched Trey set their two doughs into the makeshift ‘oven’, he wondered whether killing the yeast in the dough counted as him losing his pacifistic streak.

He mulled this over in silence, leaning against a counter.

Trey seemed happy to let the quiet atmosphere exist without interruption.

It was, kind of, nice, but also kind of maddening. Yuu, who existed in a constant state of ‘committing to the bit’ and ‘enjoying shenanigans’ could admit that it was probably best for his mind to rest (passing out at the end of the day didn’t count as ‘rest’, not really). But, at the same time, the apocalypse was an endlessly boring endeavor whenever you weren’t actively fighting for your life, and the quiet moments always had an undercurrent of restlessness.

Riddle and Trey seemed to be an exception to this rule.

Yuu looked down at his hands. Trey had given him a water bottle to wash his hands with. Where had he gotten so much water that he felt comfortable using it on trivial stuff?

Yuu shifted awkwardly, crossing one ankle over the other. “You have a lot of stuff here,” he said, eventually, when the quietness became too much to bear.

Trey glanced over. “I do,” he said, and then didn’t elaborate.

Yuu’s eyes flicked to the open window. “How did you…?”

“Get all of this stuff?” Trey finished his thought for him.

Yuu’s jaw set. He nodded.

Trey sighed. “Well, I should start this off by saying that, the first time I noticed this, it was an accident.”

Oooooooh, that isn’t a good sign.

“I happened across this apartment complex that had recently burned down, and… well, I noticed that the zombies had taken out all of the people who had come to put out the fire. And, yeah, it was a gruesome sight, but the zombies left behind all of the people’s supplies – have no need for them, I guess…”

Realization hit Yuu like a truck. Unfortunately for him, he did not get isekai-ed to another world, which meant that he actually had to deal with the reality of the world he was in. “You loot corpses.”

“It’s not like they’re using the stuff anymore,” Trey said, shrugging.

“... do you set the fires to lure people there?”

“Only sometimes!” Trey said, as if that made it so much better. “The arsonists are a huge help.”

Yuu started to open his mouth, only to close it. He found that he really didn’t want to know how often constituted as ‘sometimes’. No matter the amount, the new information made Trey’s ‘friendly demeanor’ feel way more sinister, even if there was a good chance that it was genuine.

Though, Yuu figured, he couldn’t really get onto Trey about this. At least Trey didn’t personally murder and eat the flesh of everyone he was stealing from.

And, more importantly, Yuu really wanted those recipes.

“Where’re you planning on going after this?” Trey asked.

Yuu rested his chin in his hand. “I dunno. We might try to find Ace’s old convenience store. Or maybe Grim will get bored of Japan and go for complete world dominance. Honestly it’s a tossup.”

Trey looked mildly perturbed at the reminder of Yuu and Grim’s friendship. Probably because he wasn’t yet aware that Grim had once kept Yuu in the way Trey kept Riddle, once he learned that Trey would probably think they were kindred spirits or something.

Well, at least Yuu wasn’t alone in his discomfort, for now.

“Any chance you want to stay here?”

Yuu snickered.

And then, upon receiving a flat look from Trey, he realized that he was actually being serious.

He smiled, a hair awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

“Sorry, I can’t stay. This place is nice, but there’s no way that Ace would be able to handle being around Rosehearts-senpai for that long.”

“Who said anything about Ace?”

Yuu’s smile faded. “I did. Ace and Deuce are my friends, I’m not leaving either of them until one of us dies. And, even if I didn’t care about them, you won’t allow Grim in here, which is a huge no-go.”

Trey nodded slowly. “I guess that makes sense.”

With that, Trey took the loaves out of the oven. They hadn’t been given much time to prove, and would likely be dense because of it, but that might help curb how filling the bread was, and allow them all to eat a little more than normal. Which was good – they needed all the nutrients they could get.

Also, they were on limited time here. Ace would snap and try to kill Riddle. It wasn’t a matter of if, it was a matter of when.

It was a matter of then.

Yuu opened the door just in time to watch Ace launch himself at Riddle.

Thankfully, Deuce managed to catch him around the waist, hauling him bodily off the floor.

As for Riddle, the boy looked stunned.

For all of five seconds, before his face flushed. In embarrassment, at first, but that was quickly morphing into rage. He pulled a small butterfly knife from one of his pockets, flipping it open and pointing it at Ace. This was fair, considering Ace had just attempted to attack him, and Riddle was definitely at a disadvantage in hand-to-hand combat, but Yuu didn’t really care about that when Riddle was pointing a knife at his weaponless friends.

Cater looked as if he really wished he wasn’t in the middle of all of this. He had his hands up placatingly. “Now, now, how about we all just take a couple of seconds to breathe, yeah? Deuce-chan, how about you take Ace-ch… Ace over to the bathroom for a minute so they can have some space.”

Neither of them looked like they wanted to calm down.

“Ace,” Yuu said. His arms were crossed over his chest to help his shoulder rest, but it added to the sheer amount of disapproval in his voice when he said: “Come on.”

Ace scoffed. “So, it’s my fault, then?”

“Obviously,” Riddle said. “I wasn’t the one acting like I was raised in a barn.”

(“Rosehearts-senpai, you are making it very hard to defend you right now,” Deuce mumbled.)

“You and all of your stupid fucking rules.” Ace laughed without a hint of humor. “As if any of that matters. Who cares about what society thinks is important? Society is gone!”

“I agree that his priorities are skewed, and that it is a privilege to adhere to social niceties even now, but that’s not really his fault,” Yuu explained, as patiently as he could.

To Yuu’s mild surprise, Ace nodded his agreement.

“You’re right. It’s his!” He pointed an accusatory finger at Trey.

Trey frowned. “Me?”

“Yes, you. You’re the one enabling him. Keeping him here. Look at him! He doesn’t even know how to hold a knife properly!”

This was true. Riddle was holding it with both hands, like how people in movies brandished swords.

Trey set the two loaves of bread down on the table. “Sure, but he doesn’t need to. I can provide for him just fine on my own.”

“And if you die? What happens to him then?”

“I won’t die –.”

“You can’t know that,” Deuce cut him off. “And thinking like that is exactly how you get yourself killed. You’re not invulnerable. No one is.”

“Not even Rosehearts-senpai,” Yuu said. “What if raiders come across this place? What if someone like you shows up? If you’re not here, he’s screwed. He can’t defend himself. He couldn’t even run away, you sealed off the window that led to the fire escape.”

“Trey is only doing what is best for me,” Riddle said.

“This isn't about what’s best for you.” Ace rolled his eyes. “It’s about what’s best for him. It makes him feel better, even if it makes you worse in the process.”

Cater cleared his throat, only to look slightly pained when the attention turned onto him. Which, Yuu noted idly, was ironic for someone who had chosen to live in a radio broadcasting station. None of this would have happened if Cater hadn’t done that stupid podcast-esque routine.

“I’m sure that everyone has their reasons for being the way they are,” he said, his tone level in a way that was oddly infuriating to hear. It felt condescending. “How about we all agree to disagree?”

“Agree to –?! I’m right!” Ace said.

“You just don’t understand,” Trey said. “Riddle’s mom was the worst. She never let him do anything. He was forced to sit and study, for hours a day, every day, with no breaks outside of sleeping. She didn’t let him leave the house. She practically starved him. He deserves to relax now that he’s away from her. So, that’s what I’m providing him with.”

Ace didn’t seem impressed.

“So what? His mommy was mean to him? News flash: life sucks! People suck! And we’re all going to die! It’s unfair. What’s your point? He’s insufferable, and he’s going to get himself killed the second you’re out of the picture. And you know what? That’s no one’s fault but your own!”

Trey looked at the ground, his lips pressed into a thin line.

“Get out,” said Riddle.

Now, usually, this would deserve a bit of ribbing. An aw, are you mad that we’re right? But his voice calm in a way that made the hair on the back of Yuu’s neck stand on end.

“Huh?” said Deuce, blinking dumbly.

“This tantrum has gone on long enough. Get. Out.”

“Tantrum?!” Ace said. “What, should we apologize for telling Trey the truth, too?”

“Yes, actually, I think that he deserves an apology for how you’re treating him.”

“What he deserves is for a horde of zombies to come knocking the second we’re gone. Might be a better reality check for the both of you, since clearly neither of you were actually listening to a word we said,” Ace snapped.

Deuce sighed. “Well, knowing Grim, zombies might target these two for the crime of ‘keeping him away from Yuu’.”

Trey’s eyes widened. And then his expression steeled. “Yuu is staying here, then.”

Yuu whirled around and pressed the tip of his knife to Trey’s throat.

“Try that shit and I promise that neither you nor Rosehearts-senpai will make it to next week.”

How do you think the twst boys would react if their partner called someone else's name while they're having sex? I know that this is a very "it depends" question: for example Sebek would probably react pretty differently if Idia said Lilia's name instead of other names (like the tweels or Azul), and the situation would change even more if he was with Malleus instead of Idia... But I'm curious what you think

You are right, it really does depend on a lot of stuff, but I will try to mention a couple of options when it’s applicable! But also spoiler alert, pretty much all of them would be very displeased (shocking!).

Riddle – off with your head! Jokes aside, I think he would be quite heartbroken and pissed. The only person that I can think of who could fuck up so massively with Riddle is Ace… so he’ll definitely spend an eternity wearing Riddle’s collar, I don’t know what he needs to do to be forgiven lol rip

Ace – he would get mad, stop and start bombarding his lover with questions. What’s even worse is that every other guy that his lover could name (Trey or Floyd for Riddle, Jack for Deuce) is much taller and bigger than him, so Ace’s mind would immediately go to “oh I get it”. He’ll probably lose his boner and start avoiding the other person, but not for long: Ace is vindictive and petty, so once he calms down a little, he’ll start enjoying the other boy being very apologetic and guilty around him. Is he going to bully his lover and punish him when they have sex the next time? Absolutely. He has to restore his ego, too.

Deuce – if it’s Ace who does it, Deuce will be surprised and confused, but then punch him and push him away; they might actually fight a little before Deuce kicks Ace out of their room. It’s not like Deuce wanted to bring extra attention, he was just shocked and upset, but now the entire dorm knows that something happened between the two lol But if this somehow happens with Jack of all people, I feel like Deuce would be too shocked to react properly at first, maybe even start gaslighting himself that he just didn’t hear Jack right.

Trey – if the lover himself didn’t notice that he said something wrong, Trey would seemingly pretend that it didn’t happen and just continue what he was doing. Because stopping mid-sex to address this is way too awkward and he doesn’t want this whole thing, so he’ll just bear with it… which doesn’t mean that he wouldn’t care at all, he actually would care and a lot and probably even get mad (more than he expected to be!), so he’ll get pretty rough all of a sudden, almost sadistic even.

Cater – he would actually stop and address it. He might actually continue if his lover gives him an excuse or explanation, and he might even seemingly play along, but similarly to Trey, he would get rougher. He could also start asking questions about his lover wanting to have sex with that other person, but as if it’s dirty talk.

Leona – he would get mad, he might actually get physical and shove the lover away for doing that, but in actuality being called someone else’s name would kind of tingle him in a weird way. It’s not like he is ever going to address it because frankly, he is too proud for that.

Ruggie – doesn’t really give a shit? He doesn’t expect to be anyone’s one and only, the only thing he’d be worried about is whether he is going to get his credit for fucking someone so nicely or not lol But maybe he just didn’t meet someone he would care enough about to get upset. If he hears any other name from Leona though, he’ll absolutely remember it. Valuable information.

Jack – would get upset and jump to conclusions even if it was an accident, but if it happens mid-sex, there is no way he is going to stop. He’ll get much more rough and possessive though, he’ll start biting and leaving all kinds of marks outside and inside his lover’s body.

Azul – he would get so upset that he might actually not finish, but honestly, it depends. I can picture him shoving the other guy away from him and leaving just as well as I can picture him getting so angry that he just grabs his lover even tighter and starts fucking them even stronger. Oh, and there will be ink. Thankfully, it’s just an octo-boy getting angry and not blot, honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised seeing Azul overblot over this… One would expect him to maybe even start crying, but Azul would smile. Smile in such a terrifying way, as if he completely lost it. Asking about the other name, laughing quietly, finding roundabout way to call his lover a whore that only used him. It would get scary lol but afterwards he would leave… and start thinking about revenge. Ace is vindictive, but Azul? He is the most vindictive person ever, there is no way he won’t start punishing his lover from that point and until he forgives him (so forever). Also, I somehow think that he would be more upset if Idia called him any other name than if Jamil did it; at least he knows not to trust Jamil even though he has a fat crush on him; but with Idia he is genuinely very close, so that would be a betrayal that is almost impossible to recover from.

Jade – while it’s shitty, ironically, this is one of the best things that could happen to Jade because suddenly he has this thing that he could use to torture the other person with. It all depends on a situation, Jade could ignore it and then act like he is hurt for some time and confess after a couple of days that he was actually very hurt by it (not fake at all), or he could start acting hurt right away. Or he could pull the dick out slowly, apologising and saying that he’s going to call the other person if this is who his lover wishes to see instead of him. Especially if someone called him Floyd, THEN it’s extra spicy (and Jade’s emotions are a bit genuine then). Also, if it’s Idia and he somehow manages to call Jade Azul, Jade would have extra fun because now he can play with both of them.

Floyd – he’ll address it immediately, he’ll bulldoze his lover with a “hey, why did you call me that?” very directly. It’s not impossible for him to actually get annoyed and leave, he is still a Leech, so he might do something similar to what Jade is doing. Doesn’t matter who his lover is, he could start asking questions, demanding they tell Floyd everything, refusing to continue fucking (or just stimulating his lover more intensely) until they answer his very invasive questions. Ironically, he would have the most fun with this type of thing with Riddle, when he would pound his guts while Riddle chokes on his own saliva refusing to tell which one of the two men felt better inside of him. And then, after he is all done with Riddle and the adrenalin rush is over, THEN he would get angry and annoyed and want to punch someone.

Kalim – he would assume it’s some kind of mistake at first, maybe he just didn’t hear it right; so he won’t stop and try not to get hung up on it. But he probably won’t be able to forget about it completely and would keep thinking about it, maybe looking at Jamil and that other person whose name he said. There is no way he’d be able to keep his own confusion a secret though, so he’ll just ask Jamil directly and very loudly at some point, and make this whole thing much more awkward that it already is. Poor Jamil probably doesn’t even remember anything…

Jamil – would he really care? I guess he would in a “well anyone would feel shitty if you fuck them and then call them some other name” type of way, at least initially. He doesn’t allow himself any emotional attachment, so it’s not like his first instinct would be to feel bad. And if it’s Kalim who does it, Jamil would think “if he has someone else he’s thinking about, why do I even bother having sex with him?”, playing it off as if he is just doing extra work that someone else could do for him. But the bitter aftertaste would last for quite some time… Also, knowing Kalim, he could very easily call Jamil someone else’s name but that would 100% just be a random name because his brain got too fried due to arousal and he doesn’t know what he’s saying anymore lol Also, just because Jamil “doesn’t care” doesn’t mean that he won’t confront his lover about it. Don’t treat him like shit!

Vil – he would actually be deeply offended by it. I think he would stop everything, demand explanation immediately and maybe even punch his lover if he doesn’t like the explanation that he gets. I feel like this is one of the worst things one could do to Vil lol The level of his anger and heartbreak could be different depending on a scenario (if it’s Jade or Floyd or Trey, then it’s pretty shitty because even if you like someone else, you have to be present for a person you’re shoving your dick into; but still it’s not as bad, just super rude). But if it’s Rook, then unless it’s some kind of Rook-yapping-magic, it’s difficult to imagine Vil actually continuing with the sex after being called someone else’s name. Hey, at least he (or any other guy) didn’t call you Neige, that would be yikes.

Rook – he would get surprised and immediately start thinking: did he see the signs of these two getting close? Are they intimate with each other? Because if they are, chances are, Rook already knows about it: he knows everything about everybody’s love life lol But still, hearing it from his own lover while having sex is huge! If it’s someone who he has fleeting interest in, he would ignore it as it happens, but then hint at it later (“you should really be honest with your feelings for this one person~ wink” type of way). If it’s someone he is very close to though, like Vil, he won’t stop, but will tease him and then suggest inviting the other person to share their bed. Is he still teasing or is he serious? Your guess is as good as mine.

Epel – his first reaction would be confusion, he might quietly repeat what he’s just heard and blink slowly, looking almost too adorable in his puzzlement, but then he would punch his lover and yell at him, demanding for him to let go of him and fuck off. Well, it might not happen with every potential partner, but this scene is surprisingly easy to imagine lol I think Epel is the type who gets angry first and gets upset and starts crying afterwards, when the anger part is over. I don’t know how jealous Epel is, but being called someone else’s name would still suck a lot. If it happens with Floyd though, he might actually continue having ~angry~ sex with him, while being super mad at Floyd but also enjoying it a bit too much. It’s not like he can run away when he is being squeezed so tightly, and his angry screams would get muffled by Floyd’s massive hand.

Idia – he would get more upset that he himself expected to be; Idia always keeps in mind every possible bad scenario that could happen, and he is pretty pessimistic and paranoid in general, so his first thought would be “right, I should have known better”. But since it’s pretty difficult for Idia to open up (let’s ignore that in almost every scenario we put him in the sex part is very sudden lol), he would feel heartbroken, betrayed and pretty disappointed in himself for believing another human being. Similarly to Azul being the most hurt if it’s Idia, Idia would be the most hurt if it’s Azul. Or Lilia, but to be honest I can’t imagine Lilia calling any names in general while having sex lol But anyway, he would probably get pretty salty and avoiding afterwards. Unless it’s Ortho who does it because in that case Idia would try very hard to be happy for him. And if it all ends up being a big misunderstanding, Idia would still be kind of salty and snarky, reminding about the fact that it happened from time to time.

Ortho – option one: he stops for a moment and asks about it right away; option two: he doesn’t stop, but replays the audioclip afterwards and asks if there is anything his lover wants to tell him. It it’s Idia, he is half-excited half-jealous about the possibility of him getting a boyfriend, so it could go either way, but he would probably try o act supportive… while being super jealous and possessive, as always!

Lilia – he might get pouty and go “huuuh?”, but he is more amused than upset lol No matter who his lover is, he won’t allow him to get away from questions. Are you two that close? Did you do it with him? Do you want to? How do you want to do it? And all of it while still fucking the poor boy. It’s like a mix of a mean lover who bullies with dirty talk and a nasty old man who is very interested in younglings’ love life.

Silver – he would get surprised, so his eyes would widen very cutely, but he probably won’t say anything; he is the type to suffer quietly. Well, I’m not even sure if he would allow himself to suffer: if it’s Lilia, then it’s nothing new. If it’s Sebek, he might actually get more upset, but probably tell himself that they aren’t actually dating, so maybe Sebek is just using him for training… in which case, this isn’t anything new either.

Sebek – if it’s Malleus who does that, Sebek would swallow his pride and bear with it like a good boy that knows his place. Of course Malleus would think of Lilia when he is with him, and Sebek could only wish to be one day good enough to replace this image in Malleus’ head, even though this feeling sucks: Sebek is very jealous when he probably isn’t allowed to be… so he’ll cope by fucking Malleus harder and trying his absolute best to pleasure him in a way that even Lilia couldn’t! So much space for improvement and motivation! And if it’s Silver or Idia, he would get pissed and more aggressive, but won’t stop fucking lol He is very likely to yell at Silver, like Are you asleep?! or something (won’t yell as much if Silver calls him Father though lol), and Idia… oh poor Idia won’t hear the end of it, he’ll get called all kinds of nasty words for being so promiscuous.

Malleus – oh no one is surviving this. He wouldn’t like it at all. No matter who his lover is, no matter what Malleus is being called, if it’s anything other than his name, this world is going to end. I feel like there is some level of getting over it with the rest of the guys, but Malleus? Oh no no no.
