dreamer update wasn’t funny enough sorry ajsjdj i got too serious thinking about what insane thing i need daemon to do. it’s four acts so far. initial get the band together act, building helaena’s new house act, vulture king act, and vaemond-viserys dies act.

i’ve gone over the initial act a lot, important to note that everyone has their pet spy. aegon has arryk, helaena has beesebury, alicent has aemond, rhaenyra has jace. daemon has been saying baela would be a better spy but everytime rhaenyra is like “okay so go to driftmark and get her from rhaenys” he is suddenly busy. no one asks rhaena but she still knows everything bc she reads everyone’s mail in dragonstone.

the end of act one is when rhaenyra takes a slightly more hands on approach bc jace lets her know that viserys is in like, prime shape to be influenced into doing stuff that makes the greens look worse - helaena is very insistent she has a northern wedding to skandar & jace thinks they should capitalize and push for it. while the wedding planning is happening, aegon is trying to convince aemond & daeron to also marry bastards or wildlings with non seven wedding vows and unknowingly helping his wife, ynys, get her ducks in a row for her vulture king plot.

act two is when jace starts roping the whole family into his espionage. they are building a house for helaena that is specifically easy to get to and easy to land at while being easily defensible, which means a lot of trial runs on dragonback, a lot of working with the locals - rhaenyra is making daemon do a lot of this with caraxes. caraxes is in a bad mood all the time bc it’s so fucjing cold but daemon does love to enjoy The Horrors while doing some light renovation work so.

addam & benjicot meet during this point (they’re helping move supplies north) and addam let’s the flirting happen bc he’s very annoyed about daeron starting up a flirtation with a hightower bastard. aegon relapses with his drinking bc his dreamer nightmares aren’t going away they just changed and he’s not sure what he’s doing wrong. just so many shenanigans while absolutely ass over tits drunk. jace is like “we can’t let them name this dude king purely bc he’ll drink himself to death over it, he’s a mess” helaena like yeah i’ve BEEN saying that.

act three is vulture king (if u forgot there IS a vulture king that springs up during the dance, that’s why borros & the stormlands aren’t really in the war - they fight the vk). fully funded & armed by aegon’s new splinter faction. when the vk is totally killed for a third time, daemon is like “it’s ynys and her dornishly wiles” this is the first time in his life him and otto have agreed on something btw he’s fucjing livid at the idea that aegon has forced him to come down on the same side as otto. rhaenyra trusts her little spy tho and while jace is like “i’m not not saying ynys is funding this” jace is also saying that the ultimate goal doesn’t seem to be crowning aegon - which rhaenyra can agree with bc otto has just fully turned his hopes to aemond. aegon, ynys, and their son are a complete non factor, another issue to be resolved like rhaenyra herself is, and aegon is not too mad about it, hes only clearly publicly put out by the attention aemond gets, he doesn’t want the attention for himself.

aegon is like fully losing it yet more hopeful than he’s ever been. he’ll stop drinking for a full two weeks, have another horrific vision, and go on a binge. his visions are more confusing than helaena’s - or at least he feels that way bc he isn’t even rattling off nonsense metaphors when he wakes up, he struggles to put it into works besides “we’re all doomed” - but he does notice them shift and change slightly. he Is changing things but he doesn’t know if he’s changing the right things. yeah sure he helped get jasper fired, he’s made it so otto’s only option is aemond but is he ACTUALLY changing anything besides finally getting daeron a beard and a boyfriend? doubtful!
