Asymetrical Symphony - Part 22
Tumblr media
Universe: Arcane (LOL)
Pairing: Viktor x reader
Summary: You had been on the rooftop with Jayce and the Herald and somehow you were sent to a place where things can be different with your help
Disclaimers and Warnings: If you want me to tag you on the chapters let me know! Also leave a comment with your thoughts :D Not finished, not proofread. English isn't my 1st language. All I know about LOL is from google and all I know about Arcane is taken from the show, so inacuracies will be plenty. I have a sort of idea on how to I'm gonna go with magic and runes, so bear with me. The reader will be written as GN (going by they/them) to get everyone involved, but if you see any discrepancies let me know
A.N: A big thank you for all of the peeps who read this and not only comment but leave little hearts on the chapters as they read! I love seeing y'alls progression. I see you and I appreciate you!

The high sun on the veranda shone on you like a natural heating lamp as you scribbled intently on your notebook. The house was mostly silent, with only Voltaire in the kitchen with his pots and pans, since your mother and Willah had taken a romantic getaway to Demancia.
After your quick but stressful hospital stay, Esther had been a wreck, to the point she would pace in the living room every time you went out until she saw you again. It took a very convincing and assertive dialogue between her and Willah for her to even think about going anywhere. However, after a few days of sulking, Willah managed to get her on an airship, and off they went.
You were trying to remember the runes that other Viktor had sketched on the blackboard, but between what happened in that dimension and then the jump, your memory was a bit faulty when it came to that.
The small and brand-new yellow notebook, a gift from Viktor, was taking the brunt of your frustration, pages after pages with lines and sketches that did nothing but vex you further.
Adding to that, the council had just come out with a brand new... suggestion... for the lab's work environment. They could decline and let it drop on deaf ears, but that was exactly what they wanted.
According to the council, any outsider to the lab had to get approval from the council, and all work had to be stopped for their appointment. If the outsider was someone of a minor or major house, it had to be accompanied by an enforcer or a councillor itself other than Jayce.
You felt a little guilty when you had found out since it had been sort of your fault that the new rule was applied, and no matter what the two scientists told you otherwise, it still felt that way. The emotion quickly dissipated as soon as you saw Sky happily making her way toward you, berating the enforcer that was stopping you from going up. That had been the last time you went in uninvited.
The knock on the penthouse door startled you from the scribbled pages as Voltaire shouted that he would get it.
You kept your face towards the door, not expecting anyone at that time. Viktor would probably visit you in the evening to exchange rune notes, and Jayce sometimes came with him unless he had a 'meeting' with Mel.
“It’s probably Mr. Korith with the groceries.” He told you, walking to the door and cleaning his hands with a towel.
You nodded and smiled at the chef, happy with the explanation, and turned your attention back to the notes.
The last page of the book had a little table drawn by hand with rows and columns. The first column was for the facets you remembered; next to it was another column for a checkmark, tallying the ones you think corresponded, and another for what each rune did.
Air - ✓ - creates gusts of air/moves things/when sustained, creates wind/when solidified, creates whirlwinds
Earth -
Fire - ✓ - heals by transferring someone's rune to the rune speaker’s body (theory: the speaker’s body heals better/faster because of magic).
Earth -
Sun -
Moon - ✓? - creates small marbles of light/when sustained, they can go forever until dispelled/when solidified, creates lightning.
Chaos - ✓? - ??
Order - ✓? - puts things back to their original form (mends broken objects) / never tried sustaining/solidified creates a simple missing piece if any is needed
Time -
Space -
Creation - ✓? - hand rune
Corruption -
Missing: unlock rune (softer chaos?)?Corruption of an original state? Creation because of finding new runes?)
Elevator call/banner falling
“It seems Mr. Korith dragged a stray in with him.” Voltaire’s amused voice boomed through the quiet house, making you turn around to look at the chef and the 'stray.'.
Viktor stood there with a small smile on his face. He looked tired, but seemingly in a good mood. He was also not in his uniform, which by itself was already a curious thing, but when you added the time of the day, it made it a downright mystery.
“Hello!” He waved and started walking towards you, his desired target already in his sights. The blue armchair next to where you sat.
“Will you stay for lunch, my friend?” Voltaire asked, already making his way to the kitchen.
That made Viktor pause and look at the other man and then back at you. You gave him a one-shoulder shrug. He was always welcome to stay and eat.
“I could eat, yes, if it’s not too much trouble.” He threw a wide smile at Voltaire, who nodded happily.
“The more, the merrier. I’ll make a quick dessert too. The one you like!”
“Oh…oh no…there’s no need.” Viktor quickly refuted, shaking his head.
“Nonsense.” His voice was already accompanied by the sounds of pots and pans.
“What’s the dessert?” You asked when the scientist restarted his trek towards his little piece of cushiony heaven.
It was still funny to you that, after years of knowing someone who looked exactly like him, in this timeline, there were still so many things to learn.
Other Viktor's favorite dessert? Coffee with three packets of sugar and a drop of sweet milk.
Is this Viktor’s favorite dessert? No idea. Probably something with so much sugar it would make his blood turn to caramel.
“Lemon Tart.” He said as he gently plopped down on the chair with a happy sigh, straightening his leg and melting into the seat, his crutch leaning on the back of the chair. “I like how he burns the white cream things on top.”
“Have you ever been to his restaurant?” You looked at him, smiling at how peaceful he looked with the sunbathing his angular face. He looked at you sideways and made a disapproving face.
“Have you seen my salary?”
You knew other Viktor made some money but didn’t like spending it on frivolous things, so you were almost sure this Viktor had enough money to have at least one meal at Voltaire’s restaurant.
Hells, you were more than sure your mother had invited him at some point. But still, Viktor didn't think an expensive meal was worth the money, probably going to spend that value on something for the lab.
“Remind me to take you there sometime.” You threw out looking back at Piltover’s skyline and then at him from the corners of your eyes.
“And then I am the one accused of being sneaky.” He squinted his eyes at you in fake annoyance, and you shrugged.
After a moment of silence, you turned back to look at him, half expecting him to be already napping, which you found immensely adorable.
It had become a completely normal occurrence for you to come back from rehearsals and have him, Jayce, Willah, and your mother just relaxing in the living room. They would talk about politics, science, or even the latest gossip, something that Viktor enjoyed as long as it wasn’t about him or Jayce or even the lab. Every other rumor he found strangely entertaining.
And whenever the conversation became too boring, it was just as normal to find him lightly snoring, his head either leaning on his hand or against the back of the chair. You found it adorable.
But at the moment, even though he did have his eyes closed, you noted his breathing was regular and his fingers tapped on the arms of the chair. He was just enjoying the warmth of the sun. You tried to commit this weirdly familiar situation to memory.
Viktor was wearing a burgundy knitted polo vest with a light blue button-up shirt under. His gray slacks were bunched up where the leg brace fastened. The brace itself was different from what you’ve seen him wear in the lab. It only strapped around his thigh and in the middle of his lower leg; instead of going from hip to foot, the metal brackets and mechanism only aided his knee joint.
“You're staring again.” he warned jokingly, his golden eyes heavy-lidded but looking at you.
“I sure am.” You answered bluntly, nodding proudly, and he chuckled.
“You have become bold.” He closed his eyes again, but his eyebrows raised. “Do tell me then, why am I under scrutiny this time?”
“I am trying to figure out the whole thing with the civilian clothes…”
“Oh…” he adjusted himself in the chair, his demeanor changing from peaceful to tense in seconds. When he looked back at you, he had the most annoyed look on his face. “I was promptly kicked out of my lab by Councilor Shoola and her surprise inspection.”
“What?!? Why? I thought those had been scheduled now!” You turned on your seat, the sides of the chair acting as a sill where you placed your elbows.
“Apparently not.” He rolled his eyes, mimicking your pose. “Only outsiders need to make appointments. The councilors can just walk in and demand an inspection, or a debriefing, or... whatever they call it, no matter what we are doing or if it’s opportune or even if it is safe. So, when they announced only one of us was needed for whatever they wanted to do there, I was promptly but subtly kicked out. And in protest, I went home and changed. I won’t go back to the Academy today. Councilor Shoola can volunteer to fasten the bolts and do the math on my work. I wish her all the luck with that.”
You blinked a few times trying to process what he just spit out. His ramble was almost comical, his accent becoming stronger as he talked on, his hands starting to accompany his rant with exaggerated movements. But it angered you that they had, promptly and subtly, dismissed the co-creator of hextech, one of the most brilliant minds in this part of town.  It wasn't exactly new that they didn't enjoy his place of birth, but they were never this... blunt about it.
“Anyway, Sky gave me your note, so… here I am.”  He took a couple of calming breaths and leaned back into the chair, a scowl on his face.
“Right!” You grabbed the notebook. “I'm about to make your day...sort of...I may have found something about the...”
Viktor straightened quickly, grimacing as his leg jerked with his movements. You opened the notebook, showed him the table with the list, and pointed to the first column.
“Do you know what these are?”
“Yes!..." He said excitedly but then frowned. "Wait... no... maybe? Some of these are theorized to be the basis of the arcane. How do you know them?”
"I read about them…” ‘in a blackboard while the other version of you explained it to me…’ you wanted to add but kept your mouth shut.
“Oh?”
“There’s a book on it…” You hoped there was a book on it.
“Yes, we have it in the lab.” He nodded.
“There you go…that's where I read it.” You cleared your throat, nodding along with him. “Anyway…you didn’t use them in hextech?”
“Eh... Well... some.” Viktor observed you for a second trying to read something unknown in your face but gave up after a while. “Some looked too unstable to work in an already volatile environment. But your runes look nothing like the ones in the book.”
“Do you remember which ones you used?”
Viktor nodded and grabbed a stump of an orange pencil from the breast pocket of his shirt. You snickered and shook your head. Why he had the tiniest stump of a colored pencil in his breast pocket was beyond you, but he had it, and he was proud of it.
“What made you think of these?” He questioned still working on the rune.
“Alena. She…told me a story, and it’s…” He stopped what he was doing and looked up, encouraging you to go on. “It’s a stretch, but her grandma told her a story about an old man that never got older, who would go around Zaun writing ‘symbols' on walls and call kouzel…kouzelnivi?”
Viktor’s eyes had gone back to the drawing until you said that word, and then his neck snapped up to focus on you.
“Kouzelnictví? Magic?” He corrected you, and something about Viktor speaking his native tongue was sending waves of heat to your cheeks.
“Yes. The one her grandma asked about was fire…healing fire." You continued, trying to focus on the conversation.
“Oheň”
“Yes. He told her that it was the symbol of healing. Her family believed in it so much that Alena has the rune tattooed on her wrist. Because fire heals and keeps you warm.”
He had stopped scribbling and was now looking at you intently. For a moment you were scared he was going to laugh in your face from the leaps you were taking. But he only tilted his head and nodded favorably.
“You don’t think it’s a far-fetched idea? Not to dismiss the story as just a tale? It may be just a bedtime story—
“Hextech was created on far-fetched ideas, fairy tales, and confiscated material.” He smiled brightly at you. “Your story has more proof than that. And even if there was no proof, it should be a path to be explored.”
Viktor ripped the page he was drawing on from the notebook and gave it to you. You took it but kept looking at him. There was something about his optimism, his belief in your idea, that threw you off. The way he was looking at you with a lazy but excited smile, his whiskey eyes shining with life. You found yourself consciously stopping your arm from moving to stroke his handsome face.
“You’re staring.” He said, a hint of red on his cheeks.
“You’re handsome.” You blurted it out before your brain caught it.
For a second you thought about apologizing. You didn’t know if he enjoyed compliments or if he even wanted them. But with the way he was smiling, you mentally squared up your shoulders and gave him a smug grin.
“Well, you are. So…” you both chuckled, and he mumbled something close to thank you. “Anyway, I need to go to Zaun.”
“What?” The smile on his face faltered. “Why?”
“Alena and the story.” His face told you he didn’t get the connection. “I need to go and find the rest of the runes.”
“Did she tell you where they were?”
“No. But someone must have seen or heard more stories.”
“It was her grandma, yes?" You nodded, and Viktor closed his eyes. “So, let’s say her grandma lived until 70… mmm… 80 years, and that Alena is probably our age… so that’s a story with—
“90-plus years. I know. But there have to be people who’ve heard it as well.”
“There are…”
A glint in his eyes made you look at him intently, and a small gasp came out when his eyebrows came up and he bit his lips.
“You know about it, don’t you? You’ve heard the stories…” He nodded sheepishly, looking down at his hands. “That’s why you didn’t dismiss it at first.”
“It is just a children’s story.” He sighed. “There was never talk of symbols in my version, just some old man that would visit Zaun in a blue robe and wander the streets like a ghost. My mother used it so I wouldn’t come home after dark. ‘Modrý muž tě dostane.’...The blue man is going to get you…”
“How do you know it was the same guy?”
“The old man who never got old.” He gave a small smile and a shrug. “He was some kind of wanderer, eating children after it got dark.”
An idea burst into your head quickly, and you grabbed the notebook from his hand, receiving a questioning sound from him.
You drew the fire rune and showed it to him. It dawned on you he had probably never seen the fire rune, and if the fire rune was present in Zaun as the apothecary symbol, he might have seen it.
“This is the fire rune. Do you know it?” He shook his head, and you deflated.
"Wait..." He grabbed back the notebook. "Maybe..."
He turned the book towards the bright windows, singling out the page where you wrote the rune, and looked it through the back of the sheet. The rune was mirrored on the back of the page as the light hit it.
“My mother used to get an ointment from this little store down from where we lived. The lady from there knew about my condition and added some medicated sweets to the order. This was the brand on the bag.” He closed the journal and looked at you, his eyes still hazy from the memory.
“That’s the fire rune. It’s just mirrored. That’s Alena’s grandma's rune.” You told him softly. “Fire heals. Air moves. Moon lights the darkness.”
“It helps us with a location as well. If I heard it when I was little and if Alena’s family is the same as the apothecary, then the wanderer must have passed somewhere near there.” He was nodding to himself and smiling. “It is a good starting point. When do we go?”
You chuckled at his enthusiasm and then shook your head when what he said sunk in.
“We? No. You are not going anywhere.” You shifted in the chair and went to grab the book from his hand, but he moved it out of reach. “Viktor…”
“What is your plan?” He asked seriously, keeping the book out of your reach.
“Go to Zaun, where the apothecary is, ask around, talk to people, and figure out what kind of stories they have. Once I’ve gathered enough info, I’ll explore further.” You explained feeling a bit more confident as he nodded along, perceiving it as an approval of your plan.
“The apothecary is at the Entresol level, so you might be lucky, and that is where the runes are.” He looked at the ceiling and squinted his eyes, and you knew by the arrogance written on his face he was about to throw your plan out the window. “Best case scenario, the gangs will smell a Piltie, kidnap the Piltie, and ask your mother for the highest amount of gold they can think of. Worst-case scenario, the gangs smell the Piltie, kidnap Piltie, and sell them for the highest amount of gold they can think of.”
You were divided about this. It would be a good thing if he came; he knew the place much better than you, since you’d been there only a couple of times in another dimension. His utility and company would be greatly appreciated.
However…one wrong move, one wrong look at one wrong person, and he’d be dead. You'd both be dead. And you can’t let him die. It wasn't just about him becoming the Herald. If he died, you don’t think you could handle it. You could not... you will not... lose him again.
"You'd need to justify to the council why you were bridge hopping." You argued without much conviction.
“The good thing about being invisible to the council... is not being seen by the council,” he countered.
“They’ll notice.” You softened your tone, already knowing this was a losing battle.
“Let them. I am not doing anything wrong. What will they do? Arrest me for visiting my home?” He snorted in defiance and looked at you. “I would not feel good having you wander into Zaun alone. I understand you are very capable of taking care of yourself, but…I also want to help.”
He stopped for a moment and took a deep breath, looking back at you again. Something weary behind his handsome eyes.
“This rune.” He shook the notebook. “When you spoke it... it took over you, and then it harmed you—”
You were about to interrupt him to argue it didn't do it on purpose. It was just easier for magic to heal you than to heal Sky.
“I know the theory.” He put a hand up, stopping you from arguing. “But, at the end of the day, you were the one bleeding on the floor. The one in the hospital bed. If any other rune does this, you need someone there to help you.”
Arguing with Viktor was always a gamble. You could win the argument without warning, carving a response so fierce he would not be able to reply, or it would be easily won when the gears on his brain spurred on. But yet again, you were raised by a lawyer.
“I can’t protect us both. If anything happens to me, I can distract them enough to run…” you blurted quickly, the hurtful part unsaid. He frowned.
“My leg is not a hindrance. It never was. It never will be.” He frowned for a bit. “There are other ways to escape that don’t require running.”
“It’s not about your leg; it's about you.” You let out an exasperated sigh. “Viktor, if something happens to you down there, I won’t leave you behind.”
“Good! Great! Because I will do the same!”
“No!” You groaned and thumped your head on the chair’s armrest. “I forgot how exasperating you are.”
“Well, you are also very stubborn.” He tilted his eyebrows. “Especially because you know I’m right.”
You looked at him deadpan, and for a moment his expression matched yours. After a few seconds, you rolled your eyes and got up from the chair with a swift movement.
“I’m telling Voltaire not to burn the meringue.” You announced over your shoulder.
“You wouldn’t.” He gasped when he figured out what you were threatening.
From behind you, there was the clear sound of him shuffling to get up from the chair and grab his crutch. The rhythmic sound of him quickly approaching made you giggle.

Mera naam... (Monkey man Kid X Reader)
A/n: uhhhh idk if I like it as much as coconut & honey but enjoy!
Tumblr media
'you should never lie'
his mother once told him with angry eyes that he hated to see so much. When Kid was just 8 years old, he had lied to his poor mother about going to play near the river just in front of their humble home, instead, going off far away into the market because he wanted to buy the bangle she's been eyeing for a while.
He's been a proper good boy, he swore, he helped Mr Deepesh, their next door neighbour, by cleaning up his chicken coop for money. He didn't mean to worry her.
'You shouldn't lie to the people you love, even when you think it's for a good reason, a lie is a lie,' she had worriedly say while hugging her boy to her chest.
He didn't think those words would haunt him 20 years later. Kid didn't even mean to lie to you, he didn't even mean to fall for you, but he had, and his lies only bury him into a deeper hole.
"Bobby? You're ready to go?" your sweet voice snapped him out of his thoughts, the beer he's been nursing while you pack up the kitchen still in his hand.
"yeah," he nods, giving you a small smile. You wrapped your hands around his arm so easily as if you've been doing it for years, in reality it's only been 4 months.
4 months of lies
4 months of love
His mind wandered back to how he got here, with your hands wrapped around his arm, heading for your motorcycle. Was it that night? When he first entered his shift, he noticed you eyeing him. He didn't think much of it, you were a chef after all. You could've just been curious about the new staff.
Was it when he keeps staring at you too? Unintentionally?
But it's definitely when you start smiling at him. He's never had any other thought than revenge then this.. You... You happened.
"hey handsome, where's your mind travelling to?" you asked so sweetly he didn't even mind. Kid didn't know much about himself but he knew he hated when anyone else interrupt his thought process, not you though, never you.
Kid smiled and shook his head. "nowhere, right here," he covered it up with a quick peck on your lips and took your helmet from you, placing it onto your head and pinning it on for you, then with a stupid smile on his face he lifted the visor to boop your nose. You chuckled.
Fuck, is this love? This overwhelming feeling over the slightest thing you do?
He put on his own helmet and got on the bike, waiting till you get on too. His waist never felt so empty until you wrapped your arms around them.
4 months ago he didn't even have his own room, now he's heading to "our store" getting off the bike and ordering "the usual" and going straight to "our spot"
He doesn't even know who he is anymore.
Your kiss on his lips brought him back to reality.
"congrats, baby, on making it to VIP floor." you said with a smile on your lips.
If only you knew why he wanted to be on VIP floor so bad.
"thank you, jaan," he whispered softly, arms around your waist, swaying left to right lightly as if dancing to a song. He leaned down and kissed you again. "what's this? What's wrong?" damn you, you always somehow knew, your finger tracing his eyebrows as if to pull the frown out of his face.
He didn't know what to say. Tell you what? He's not at all who you think he is? He's plotting to kill a man? Burn the hotel? Kill one of the most influential fucking man in India?
"hey, you can tell me, Bobby, I'm here," you called that name so lovingly he had to physically fight from flinching.
In a perfect world where he isn't such a coward he'll open his mouth and tell you the truth but the truth is he's just that, a coward.
"i swear it's nothing, jaanu, just... Tired," he smiled and hugged you burying his nose in your neck, scared that he'll forget what you smell like once you find out who he is.
Your fingers snaked into his curls, playing with them like always, like it's yours, like he's yours.
"I've got you, always," you whispered into his ear, planting a soft kiss after.
He hope you meant that
Because after almost 2 months of disappearing, hiding from the police in the temple with the hijras, he's back, at your house, knocking.
You opened the door, you looked great but your eyes looks almost dead, somber.
"jaanu," that's all he could whisper, seeing you again is...
You tried to close the door but his reflexes made him able to hold the door open.
"please, please just let me explain myself"
You looked at him and scoff. "explain what? I don't even know who you are, what could you possibly say to me? What was your plan? Kill Rana and pin it on me or something? Is that it?" your voice gets shakier and shakier by each sentence, your grip on the door loosen. Kid quickly shook his head.
"no, no, never, jaanu," he had wrapped his arms around your crying figure, his body is half through the door, cupping your cheek and tenderly caressed your tears away.
"I trusted you! I loved you!" you cried out and all he could do was hold onto you while you smack your fists on his chest again and again.
"I know, i know," he whispered, he lead you inside as you limped against him.
On the couch he held you, tighter than usual, he lets you cry onto his chest, not caring about the condition of his shirt.
"you didn't call, you didn't explain, you just vanished, I thought you fucking died!" you cried out.
"I know jaan, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" thats all he can offer. He kept whispering apologies and sweet nothings into your ear until you end up falling asleep on his chest. He laid you down on the couch, planted a soft kiss on your forehead and went to the kitchen. Skillfully manoeuvring through your kitchen, making a meal as he's been there countless of time. He didn't keep track of time, only glancing at the clock when he hears a croak of your voice calling his 'name'.
"I'm here jaan," Kid said walking towards the couch to see your eyes teared again.
"I thought you left again," you said with a whine in your voice, he sat next to you, arm pulling your towards him to kiss your head. "I'm here," he repeated.
"I went to make you some food, it's pretty early I don't think you've eaten," he explained, you simply nodded.
"I... I want you to explain to me who you are and what's happening." you said voice beyond tired.
"my name isn't Bobby,"
"yeah no shit," you scoffed, he only nodded, he's glad really, you're letting him hold you, touch you that's a good sign, right?
" my name... Is Kid. I worked at Queenie's hotel because I'm... Plotting revenge on Rana and Baba shakti. For killing my mother." his voice grew quieter and quieter. The obvious pain in his voice when he mentioned his mother.
"my hands," you looked at those hands, his scarred hands he meant, the ones you would plant kisses on after a night of passion, the ones you loved so much. "they got hurt when I tried to put out the fire my mother was set on... By Rana Singh," he said, face grew harder, voice turned colder.
You stared into his eyes. "Kid," you tried calling his name. He looked at you, all attention on you as if nothing else matters.
"I swear I didn't mean to rope you into this. I didn't mean to hurt you, I couldn't... I couldn't stay away from you, I tried. You consume me, my thoughts, I've never thought of anything else but revenge all my life and you walked into it and make me feel alive again. As if I could have any other life than just death after revenge. I never wanted to live but when I hold you I feel this fear of death that I've never felt before. Understand that all was real, my feelings for you was real, is real," he begged, his hands on your cheeks again.
"but you tried to kill him anyway, why?"
He shook his head. "when I saw him. When I saw that bastard I lost it. Why does he get to live his life while my mother is ashes somewhere on the forest floor?" he grunted, face angered.
You do what you always does, your finger start tracing his eyebrows, his face visibly soften. Like he could breathe again. He took your other hand and kissed it, leaning into your touch. He had been craving you, and you knew. "you're going after him again aren't you?"
"yeah" was all he could breathe out.
You sighed but you understood. The rage he has, it's all he knows.
"will you come back?"
His face lighten. "you want me to?" he asks, hopeful.
"always, always come back to me."
"but I'll be a fugitive by then," he said worried, he's not sure worried that you'll change your mind or that you'll be a fugitive too if you chose to follow him.
You shook your head. "I don't care, come back, we'll run together, I rather not live without you by my side. But Kid.."
"hm?" he asked, looking at you intently with your hands on his. "don't lie to me ever again. Ever." you warned.
He nodded his head and pulled you into him. "never, jaanu." he kissed you deeply, deeper than he ever did that day, lead your body the way he missed. He devoured you full that day, passion spilling into physical touches. He need you to understand his love. He needs you to scream his name. His real name.

"Say hi to your parents for me." You smiled, leaning against the door. You were still wrapped up in the blanket you dragged from your bed to walk Seonghwa out.
"You can come with me, you know? They did ask you to tag along." Seonghwa chuckled.
"I know, your parents have always loved me more. But you barely spend any time with your parents now, Hwa. I'm sure they miss you. Just go and... be their son. Don't worry about me." You giggled. Seonghwa rolled his eyes.
"I am still their son, I've never denied it." He scoffed.
"I know that. Tell them I'll be there next time." You said. Seonghwa nodded, reaching to to kiss your forehead and hug you before he left your apartment.
Mr and Mrs Park were there for you through it all. They were there for you after your mum passed away, they looked after you like their own daughter whenever you left home because of your stepmother.
"Oh, my soup!" You ditched the blanket by the doorway and went to the kitchen to check on your soup.
"Just what I need." You took home some seolleongtang from yesterday, wanting to add sliced beef and rice cakes for your lunch.
'Psst. Is your bodyguard gone yet? - Woo'
'You know I can't actually hear you through text, right Woo? And if you're referring to Seonghwa, yes. He just left to meet his parents not too long ago. - (y/n)'
'Perfect! I'll be there in 30 minutes, I'm going to buy some snacks first. - Woo'
You laughed, shaking your head as you put your phone aside. Reaching into your fridge, you took out more stock to prepare a portion of food for Wooyoung too. Wooyoung and Jongho both dropped by on their own from time to time to hang out with you, just like Seonghwa did.
"I'm here, jagiya!" Wooyoung announced loudly. You turned around to see him folding the blanket you left at the doorway earlier, draping it over his arm.
"Hi, Woo. And thanks." You smiled softly. He nodded and went to return the blanket to your room.
"What are you making?" He came, peering over your shoulder.
"Yesterday's seolleongtang. I just added some meat, rice cake and napa." You said, stirring the pot. He tugged you to him to hug you tightly, his arms circling your waist and chin on your shoulder.
"My jagi~" He giggled, giving you a loud kiss on the cheek before pulling away.
"You always do that to make Seonghwa angry." You snorted, turning the flame down for the soup to let it simmer.
"No. He's just jealous he can't do it." He rolled his eyes. When the soup was done, Wooyoung portioned the food out and you both sat at your counter to eat together. You topped your soup with red pepper flakes and spring onions.
"Bowl of comfort right here." He pointed at the bowl with his spoon as he chewed his food.
"That's what you say about post-Christmas split pea and ham soup." You laughed. After Christmas ham was eaten, you usually kept the bone to make pea and ham soup. It was practically a tradition.
"There are a lot of things that can bring you comfort, (y/n)." He pinched your cheek, making you wince.
"These fritters are good." You said, eating on a gimmari that Wooyoung bought.
"It's from the market near my place. A new stall run by an older couple but the food is always good. Crisp and fresh." He informed. You nodded, taking a vegetable fritter to eat.
"So, what did you think about yesterday?" Wooyoung casually asked.
"It went well. It was nice cooking at such a magnitude again, you know, cooking fancier dishes and stuff. With our small team, I don't think I can do it every night along with the morning bakes. But maybe we should do themed nights then. I'll suggest it to Yunho." You said as you leaned on one hand.
"That's nice and all. But I meant more... meeting the families." Wooyoung threaded lightly.
"I'm fine, Woo. I'm not gonna start spiralling just because I saw happy families. Was I envious? Yes, I'll admit that I was. But that's just how it is, nothing I can do about it." You shrugged.
"Okay, I just want to make sure you're okay. I am here for you." He slid his hand over yours.
"You know, I told Hwa that before we left, Yunho's mother hugged me. It... felt nice... In a familiar sort of way." You laughed bitterly.
"How so?"
"It's different from the hugs your mother, Mrs Park and Mrs Choi gives me. I may be going crazy but it just reminded me of my mother." You sighed.
"No, you're not going crazy, jagi. I understand. Like how my mother's hugs will always feel and be different. I get it." He giggled.
After the meal, you and Wooyoung did the dishes and cleaned up before sitting on the couch together. There was a random show playing on the television but it was mostly background sounds used to fill the space.
"Tell me something." Wooyoung started, taking a handful of popcorn and eating it from his hand. You hummed, fiddling with a stray string on your shared blanket.
"The dish you made yesterday. You chose galbi jjim because it's Yunho's favourite, right?" He asked. You remained silent.
"What's up with that? You and Yunho." He probed further.
"I... I don't know..." You shrugged with a soft sigh. Wooyoung was someone who was very in touch with his emotions while you were not. Maybe he could help you make sense of things.
"I need you to pick my brain." You confessed a little too honestly. Wooyoung's eyes widened.
"Jagi, I hope you don't mean that literally. Because you know I love you but brains..." He laughed.
"Be serious! I need you to help me understand things." You groaned and kicked his thigh, which was next to your food. He yelped and pouted at you.
"Try me. Tell me everything." Wooyoung encouraged. You took a while to try and form your thoughts into coherant sentences. He was patient though, Wooyoung always was, never rushing you or sarcastically commenting. You sifted through all your feelings in each situation you've been in with Yunho.
"How do you know if you like someone? Romantically. Rather than just, enjoying their company as a friend." You asked.
"Hmm. Well, what else do you feel when you're in that person's company? Yes, enjoying their company is one thing. Do you feel anything else?" He asked back.
"I like it, I don't want our time to end. But don't you feel that way with friends too?"
"Let's put it this way. When you are with Yunho, do you feel it's different than when you're with us?" He explained.
"Yeah. I feel like a different person entirely, more at peace. Like I want to get to know more about him and at the same time, I want to share more about myself. Which is rare." You said.
"There you go." Wooyoung nodded.
"I always thought it was just because you guys are noisy and chaotic, that's why Yunho brings me peace." You blinked.
"Yah." Wooyoung flicked a popcorn at you. You snickered, picking up the popcorn to pop into your mouth. Wooyoung's words sunk in, did you like Yunho? Romantically? It almost scared you at the thought of loving someone.
"Hey. Don't get lost in there." Wooyoung's hand slipped over yours, breaking your internal spiralling. You looked up and he sent you a gentle smile. He just knew you too well, all the boys did.
"What should I do? I'm scared of feeling this way, Woo." You asked in a whisper.
"What do you want to do? Do you want to tell him?" He asked.
"And then what?"
"Silly girl. If he likes you back, then you can try going on dates together. You don't have to get into a relationship right away. Try spending more time together." He chuckled.
"I know with everything you've been through, you are scared of your feelings. But I see how you are with him. He makes you happy." He smiled.
"I'm broken, you know? Yunho doesn't even know anything about my past. It feels wrong to hide it from him. But I'm afraid that he finds out and it scares him. He looks at life so beautifully while I can barely put myself together." You forced a bitter smile as tears started to form. Wooyoung leaned forward, cupping your cheeks.
"Hey, hey. Don't you say that about yourself. You're not broken, jagi. You're the toughest person I know. Life put you through the wringer and yet, here you are." His thumbs stroked your cheeks.
"It's all because of Hwa... And you... And Jongho." You shook your head, tears streaming down your face.
"No. It's because of you. You pulled yourself out of there. I'm sure Yunho can see what a beautiful person you are. Inside and out." Wooyoung said firmly.
"I love you, jagi." Wooyoung hugged you to his chest.
"You don't have to tell him everything at the moment. When your heart is ready." He stroked the back of your head.
"Thank you, Woo." You murmured, pressing your face into the material of his shirt.
"Whatever you decide to do, I'll always be here for you, jagiya. I just hate seeing you hurt." He promised, planting an affectionate kiss to the top of your head.
When Seonghwa came back from meeting his parents, he wasn't surprised to see Wooyoung's platform shoes there. Wooyoung and Jongho always dropped by to hang with you. He found the couch empty, only the blanket there.
"Sweetheart? Wooyoung?" Seonghwa called out but there was no reply. He sighed and folded the blanket, setting it aside.
"(y/n)?" He peeked into your room to see you and Wooyoung asleep. Your upper body was resting on Wooyoung's chest, the boy's arms wrapped around your shoulders.
With a soft smile, Seonghwa adjusted the blanket over you and Wooyoung before exiting the room.
"What should I cook?" He checked the time and went to the kitchen. He dug through your fridge to see what you had to cook for dinner.
*BZZZZ*
Seonghwa checked his phone and was surprised to see the message that popped up on his screen. After typing a quick reply, he put the ingredients back into the fridge and went to wear his shoes. Just like that, he walked out of the house again even though he had only been back for 15 minutes.
"Hey." Seonghwa greeted as he entered the cafe, seeing the person who sent him the text message sit at a corner booth.
"Hey, hyung. Thanks for meeting me so suddenly. It was probably surprising for you to receive my message out of the blue." The person said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Not at all." Seonghwa cleared his throat before sitting on the opposite bench.
"Berry smoothie, please." He raised his hand to order with the waiter. Seonghwa glanced at the man, who kept his head lowered.
"Yunho, what's wrong?" Seonghwa tilted his head. Yunho cast his eyes upwards to look at Seonghwa, like a puppy that got caught doing something bad.
"I'm sorry, hyung. I... I don't know how to say this... I thought about it the whole night until this morning and I don't know how to go about doing this but my mind told me I should be apologising to you first but I didn't know how-"
"Woah, woah. Slow down. What are you talking about? Why are you apologising to me?" Seonghwa frowned.
"I... I like (y/n)." Yunho confessed.
"Okay... I think I could tell that you like her... But why are you apologising to me? It's not like she's my property or my daughter." Seonghwa was still confused.
"Isn't it against the bro code to go after your friend's girl?" Yunho asked with a wince.
"Is that what you thought? (y/n)'s not my girl... I am extremely protective of her but girlfriend? No." Seonghwa shook his head.
"Wait, you're n-not together? But I thought..." Yunho's eyes widened. Had he misunderstood the whole thing? This whole time, he assumed things and they turned out to be wrong.
"We're not dating. But like I said, I am extremely protective of her. (y/n)'s bubble is fragile and I protect it vigilantly."
"Did something happen?" Yunho asked.
"It's not my story to tell. I don't oppose of you wanting to start a relationship with her. Frankly, even if I did oppose it, I have no right. (y/n)'s her own person and she makes her own decisions. Just don't hurt her, Yunho. She puts her heart and soul into everything. If you can't do the same, leave her alone." Seonghwa warned.
"No, no. I promise I won't hurt her. I can't even fathom the thought of her being hurt." Yunho said earnestly. Every time Yunho was with you, he just wanted to hug you and take care of you.
"Do you think she likes me back?" Yunho asked. Seonghwa knew you best and spent the most time with you. He would know.
"Not for me to say. I don't want to get your hopes up or give you any expectations. That's a conversation you should have with her." Seonghwa replied.
"All I can say is, be patient with her." Seonghwa advised with a kind smile. Just then, his phone rang.
"Hey, Wooyoung... You're cooking alone?... Oh, she's still sleeping..." Yunho sipped his drink, assuming 'she' was you.
"I actually ran into Yunho... Mmm, we're just having drinks... I'll ask him." Yunho straightened up when he saw Seonghwa pulled the phone away from his ear.
"Would you like to join us for dinner?" Seonghwa asked.
"Oh but I wouldn't want to intrude-"
"Yeah, he'll be there. I'll come with him." The older said and hung up. Yunho's eyes widened, unable to say anything. Seonghwa chuckled and tucked his phone back as they finished their drinks. Yunho insisted on paying after asking Seonghwa out.
"Hyung, what if I can't act like myself around her? I don't want to be accidentally blurting things out. It already almost happened once." Yunho panicked slightly.
"You'll be fine. It's just dinner. Besides, Wooyoung and I will be there." He laughed, patting the taller on the shoulder.
"You know her address, right?" Seonghwa stood at his car door. Yunho nodded and the two split up to drive back to your house.
When the two entered the house, Yunho could immediately smell something delicious being cooked in the kitchen. Wooyoung hummed as he moved around the kitchen.
"Hey, you two." Wooyoung greeted.
"Hey." Seonghwa dropped his coat on the couch while Yunho bowed politely and draping his coat over the bar chair.
"She's still asleep, hyung." Wooyoung informed turning around to face the stove. Seonghwa nodded and moved down the hall to where Yunho presumed your room was.
"Don't stand around. Sit, sit. Make yourself at home. Want something to drink?" Wooyoung waved at Yunho. It was amazing how Wooyoung and Seonghwa, probably Jongho too, treated this house like their own house. They were so comfortable here, they knew where everything was.
"Ah!" Yunho jumped when he heard Seonghwa yell. Wooyoung didn't even flinch, cooking the food like it was normal.
"Is... everything okay?" Yunho asked.
"Oh yeah. (y/n)'s probably just trying to kill him for waking her up. Don't worry about it." Wooyoung shrugged. Seonghwa emerged from the room first.
"She's up." Seonghwa announced. Wooyoung opened his mouth to say something.
"Oh my god!" You yelped and the sound of your rapid footsteps were heard, followed by the sound of your room door slamming close.
"PARK SEONGHWA!" You shouted from your room. Yunho smiled to himself, he found you so adorable.
"I was just going to ask if you preempted her about Yunho being here... Guess not..." Wooyoung snickered. Seonghwa sighed and went back to the room.
"What is Yunho doing here?! Why didn't you tell me?" You hissed the moment Seonghwa came in. You were getting presentable clothes to change to considering you were wearing one of Jongho's shirts and really old, torn home shorts.
"I ran into him and invited him for dinner. I couldn't tell you because you were strangling me for waking you up." Seonghwa rolled his eyes.
"Oh my gosh." You slapped your forehead.
"What?" Seonghwa blinked. You shook your head with a sigh and went to your bathroom, making sure you brushed your teeth and looked presentable enough.
"Sorry about that. Hi, Yunho." You greeted as you came out. Yunho got off the bar stool.
"Hi, (y/n). Not need to apologise. Sorry for intruding." He smiled kindly. You tied your hair up into a bun and entered the kitchen area.
"Smells good, Woo. What are you making?" You asked Wooyoung, opening the fridge and pouring yourself a glass of cold brew coffee.
"Whatever you had in the fridge. So minced mushroom and cabbage stir fry, sweet and sour pork collar strips, bavette steak and side dishes." He informed. You nodded with a hum.
"I'll do the bavette." You said, putting your coffee aside and grabbing your apron. Seonghwa took whatever kale you had left to make a lemony kale salad with feta cheese and chopped cashews. Yunho volunteered to help Seonghwa with the salad since it seemed like the item he would screw up the least on.
"Sorry, it'll be scraps. We usually just eat whatever is in my fridge with rice." You apologised to Yunho as you stood next to him, seasoning the steak while he crumbled the feta.
"Not at all, it's fun. I look forward to see what dishes you come up with." Yunho laughed.
"You massage the kale like this to break it down. Makes it easier to chew and digest." Seonghwa explained to Yunho.
"Ooh, that's interesting. I never knew you could do that." Yunho said, amazed. Standing at the stove, you couldn't help but snicker at Yunho's pure amazement.
"Are you laughing at me?" Yunho turned around with a pout.
"Not at all." You shook your head innocently. You heated up the cast iron and cooked the steak. Yunho helped to cook the rice to have with the other dishes while Seonghwa and you took out all the side dishes from your fridge.
"Set a timer for 5 minutes." You said to your phone to set a timer, letting the bavette steak rest on the cutting board before you could cut into it.
"Help me stir the cabbage." Wooyoung requested. Seonghwa grabbed the cooking spoon to stir the cabbage as it wilted further.
"I'll slice the steak." You grabbed your knife to slice it. With Seonghwa and Wooyoung by the stove, Yunho stood by you, silently watching you slice the meat in a 'fancy, angled' way.
"Even this feels elaborate..." Yunho chuckled rubbing the back of his neck.
"Is it? We're just clearing the fridge. How do you clear your fridge then?" You laughed.
"Ramen?" He tilted his head. The two of you shared a laugh at your differences. When all the food was ready, the 4 of you grabbed a plate to scoop the food like cafeteria style before sitting in the living room together to eat. It was informal but not awkward with small conversations here and there.
"I'll bring the recycling down." You told Seonghwa and Wooyoung, who were drying the dishes Yunho just washed. Yunho grabbed his coat, ready to head down.
"Thank you for cooking." Yunho bid the two goodbye.
"See you tomorrow." They waved back. You and Yunho headed downstairs. Yunho followed you to put the recycling in the corner before you were to split ways.
"Thanks for having me." Yunho smiled softly.
"No need to thank. You can come over any time." You chuckled, a small smile on your face.
"Goodnight." He wished. You hummed to express the same sentiment. As you were about to turn back to head into the lift lobby, Yunho grabbed your wrist to stop you. You faced him in confusion.
"Yunho, what-"
"(y/n), I like you. And if you would give me a chance, I would like to take you out for dinner."

My K-dramas list
LOVED:
Crash Landing on You (사랑의 불시착, 2019-20, 16 eps) This drama is my n1! It made me feel thigs and made me cry a lot. I enjoyed the found family aspect and the story was so different so far what I've watched. I was rooting for the couple so much and the fact they're married in real life! Chef kiss!
No gain No love (손해 보기 싫어서, 2024, 12 eps) Every episode was delight. I fell in love with main couple love story. Their chemistry was magnificent. Second couple had more screen time in my opinion, I was cheering for them, but my heart was stolen by Son Hae-yeong and Kim Ji-wook.I enjoyed the family aspect of it too! And it should've had at least 16 episodes, it ended so quickly. Hope they'll make more stories like this one!
Goblin (쓸쓸하고 찬란하神-도깨비, 2016-17, 16 eps.) Drama which made me watched other kdramas! I loved everything about it, the story, characters and the sountrack.
Doom at your service (어느 날 우리 집 현관으로 멸망이 들어왔다, 2021, 16 eps) The story premise was so good. I enjoyed every second of it. Only thing I didn't love that much was second couple, Na Ji-na was acting so childish.
Tomorrow (내일, 2022, 16 eps) every episode was masterpiece, every episode made me cry because the topics which have been shown was sad reality for so many people. The team was excellent, the chemistry between them was so nice. The camera, the script - I love every episode so much. Definitely need to check out webtoon comics.
The Judge from hell (지옥에서 온 판사, 2024, 14 eps) My first show with Park Shin-hye and not last. She was awesome. And the punishments which those monsters got, was satisfying!
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha (갯마을 차차차, 2021, 16 eps) I really liked Shin Min-a acting in No gain no love, so of course I watched other drama with her. Enjoyed the story, the chemistry between her and Kim Son-ho, the people from the town. It was such a nice drama!
Welcome to Samdal-ri (웰컴투 삼달리, 2023-24, 16 eps) It had Hometown cha cha cha vibes. The story, sisters bond, friendship and love story in this story was everything. I loved every minute of it.
Fight for my way (쌈 마이웨이, 2017, 16 eps) This drama showed me that when it's done well Friends to lovers trope isn't bad at all.
The Sound of Magic (안나라수마나라, 2022, 6 eps) This was so beautiful drama! JCHW as Magician was brillians as his cast members! The songs were weak except the first song and A curse o Asphalt, those two I can listen to over and over.
Mr. Plankton (Mr. 플랑크톤, 2024, 10 eps) I didn't have high expectations, but it surprised me! I'm glad that I found out at the beginning how it will end. I could prepare myself for it. The story had original story line and Woo Do-hwan stole the show for me!
Marry My Husband (내 남편과 결혼해줘, 2024, 16 eps) I didn't plan to watch it, because the concept was same as Perfect Marriage Revenge. But it was so much better than PMR. It had revenge with R. I couldn't stop watching after episode 1, that addictive it was. The chemistry between couple was so good, side characters were loveable and the villains were amazing - I hated them with my whole soul, the actors did good job. And Yoo Ji-hyuk became my another favorite husband material.
Healer (힐러, 2014-15, 20 eps) I loved everything about it. I binged in 2 days. Healer and Ajumma hacker - the best combination! No love triangle!
Strong Woman Do Bong-soon (힘쎈 여자 도봉순, 2017, 16 eps) I started it because of Park Bo-yeong, but finished it because of Park Hyung-sik - his character Ahn Min-hyuk stole my heart. Overall I enjoyed it a lot. I binged it how intrigued I was. It had comedy, crime invesitgation what I should wish for more. The acting of main characters were flawless!
Suspicious partner (수상한 파트너, 2017, 20 eps) Combination comedy and suspense was so good. It had good balance. It wasn't the best drama, but I loved it either way. I fell in love with its characters.
Revenant (악, 2023, 12 eps) I'm not fan of horror, but I got influenced by some edits. It was pretty addictive and scary. The cast did such a good job. And Kim Tae-ri was excellent. Her performance was flawless. Can't wait to watch other shows and movies with her in it.
Gangnam B-Side (강남 비-사이드, 2024, 8 eps) I watched it because of JCW, I was hesitant at first, because I was afraid it would be too much for me, because of the topic, but it wasn't that brutal I was expected it'd be. The pacing of the story was good, the acting was perfect. I enjoyed the friendship theme. Bibi was so good, it's my first drama with her but definitely not last. Chemistry between her and JCW was pretty natural. The ending was satisfying, everything clicked together.
The Worst Evil (최악의 악, 2023, 12 eps) Let me tell ya, it was perfection. I don't even mind I was anxious every episode, because everything on this drama was just perfect. Acting, story, script, soundtrack.. The ending had to be like that, because the whole time it was coming to that point. I can't even watch fan edits, because they made me emotional, that big impacted this drama has over me.
A Business Proposal (사내 맞선, 2022, 12 eps) My first kdrama ever. I enjoyed about it how feel good this drama was. After watching some Turkish dramas where unnecesary drama was made, it was fresh air for me. I loved the friendship so much! And the family dynamic was nice, too.
Daily Dose of Sunshine (정신병동에도 아침이 와요, 2023, 12 eps) Park Bo-yeong was amazing. The story is one of those which everyone should watch once in their lifetime. The story is opening topics about mental illnesses and how big stigma it still is around people. Honestly, only thing I didn't like was the romance there, because it wasn't that necessary for the story itself.
If You Wish Upon Me (당신의 소원을 말하면, 2022, 16 eps) I went into this show blindly. I mainly picked it because of JCW. I didn't know anything about the story. After first episode I knew I will love it and also that every episode will be pretty emotional journey. I enjoyed the plot so much. I like that it's story about people who has their struggles, but they gather to help grant wishes of dying patients. It was so touching. What I love the most about this show is the journey of main character Yoon Kyeo Re. From not trusting anyone, because everyone in his life let him down, to embracing his true self and his new found family! I'm sucker for found family trope and this show served it so amazingly.I loved how the story is wrapped exactly how it begins. The circle of new beginning are repeating. What I didn't like was how was handled the fixation of Ha Joon Kyung on Yoon Kyeo Re. It wasn't satisfying at all.Overall very well done show which made you cry, but the acting and story is so good, so it's totally fine. I just wish the show to be longer, because I didn't want to say goodbye to the characters! They grew on me so much.
Melting me softly (날 녹여주오, 2019, 16 eps.) I had a really good time. When I'm thinking about it now, it wasn't the most perfect thing I've seen, it had its faults and loopholes, but you know what I don't care, because I was enjoying every minute when I was watching it. The comedy, soundtrack and the acting! JCW just know how made you cry or fell in love. Plus his looks with glasses were death to me, he's just that good looking in anything he wears, I guess. Also Won Ji ah was pretty good too, love her portrayal of Ko Mi ra who was a really awesome character.
Happiness (해피니스, 2021, 12 eps) I just say that everyone who was praising this show was right. It was so good! I loved (even though it irritated me, but in reality it would happended) how it showed how would people reacted in some pandemic moment. How people becomes selfish and dangerous. The main couple had stunning chemistry, so natural! And must say I enjoyed strong FL.
Enjoyed:
Brewing love (취하는 로맨스, 2024, 12 eps) I'm glad I didn't stop watching after first episode, because I didn't like that episode a lot, but it got better! I enjoyed the world of making beer and fact that ML was sensitive character, who can feel how someone is feeling, very new what I've seen so far. I also love about the drama the meaningful conversations and no love triangle, and just good time without frustration of miscommunication.
Queen Woo (우씨왕후, 2024, 8 eps) My first historical kdrama. I was shocked how many explicit scenes there were. But I enjoyed the strong female protagonist! The cast was so good, the costumes were stunning. Definitely not disappointed, only thing I was sad about was that JCW's character dies at the beginning. I loved their love story they really loved each other so much.
Shooting Stars (별똥별, 2022, 16 eps) I got crush on Kim Young-dae after watching No gan no love. Unfortunately I didn't love this drama, but I had a really good time. I enjoy the story setting, it shows how messed up is the entertainment industry in South Korea. The comedy was so good. I wasn't satisfied with how some plots were handled in the end. Overall it was fun drama!
Extraordinary Attorney Woo (이상한 변호사 우영우, 2022, 16 eps (S1)) I enjoyed every case. Joon-ho is such a green forest!
Backstreet Rookie (편의점 샛별이, 2020, 16 eps) First episode wasn't good, the problematic elements shocked me, but I give it a try, because of JCW and after second episode I was hooked. Enjoyed the comedy and serious topics which was added. I wasn't fan the romance though, it took them a long time than ML and his gf broke up, which I was frustrating with the gf behavior, I was sorry for her at the beginning, but I got mad at her soon after that. She was such a toxic victim acting person. The whole relationship was mostly about her and fact she was feeling embarrassed when she was with him!? And after break up, which she broke up with him and in bad way...she started chased him again! I was done with her acting. And another person annoyed me that much, which wasn't even punished is younger sister of FL. LIke what a brat. The chemistry was there, but I didn't feel the love. I hope they'd be in another drama together!
Love next door (엄마 친구 아들, 2024, 16 eps) I enjoyed chemistry between charcters and also trope friends into lovers, which was executed so nicely. Enjoyed important messages in it, BUT a few last episodes was dragging to me. I guess, I lost interest in the end. But I was so rooting for second couple, so I needed to finish it. This gonna be my first kdrama where I prefer second couple more.
Lovestrunk  in the city (도시남녀의 사랑법, 2020-21, 17 eps) It had very interesting concept. And was suprised that episodes were short like 30 mins. What I loved the most about this show was friendship of Lee Eun-oh, Suh Rin-i and Kang Geon. Give me supportive friends and I will love it! Next thing is spoilers so what I didn't get was 2 months fling which he did like they knew each other for longer period time. Understand, that it can happended, but he was such a loser boyfriend. I was embarrassed for him for many times. But I loved how caring he was...The ending wasn't satisfying at all. It felt like there gonna be season 2, but I doubt it.
When the phone rings (지금 거신 전화는, 2024-25, 12 eps) It had very good start. I love the chemistry ad the acting. But the finale ruined it for me. Honestly, I don't mind the war-zone plot, I was annoyed with Hee joo decision to get kidnapped in that zone to find her husband. Like girl you could've been killed. What were you thinking?
Cinderella at 2 am (새벽 2시의 신데렐라, 2024, 10 eps) beginning started so high and it went down half way through the show, which was a shame. This is my second noona show (found out there's a name for older woman, younger man show recently) Moon Sang-min was such a cutie in the show. Most people prefer second couple and I don't blame them, but I love main couple, they were such cute idiots and I was there for it. But if I should choose only 1 drama with noona theme...No gain No love did it better in whole picture (characters, story itself).
Wedding Impossible (웨딩 임파서블, 2024, 12 eps) I had the same problem as with Cinderella at 2 am, it had a really good beginning but in the halfway it got a little dragged. Especially didn't enjoy what they did Dohan's story, I was picked this show up especially with the premise FL helps her friend and becomes his fake bride because he's gay. This theme wasn't handle very good. I started it because of Moon Sang-min and stayed because of him, because hist character Lee Ji-han was overdramatic and I was here for it! I was also in awe with FL Na Ah Jung - I love abour her she doesn't give a damn and tells you what she thinks!
Liked:
Empress Ki (기황후, 2013-14, 51 eps) The beginning was nice, but I was dying half way through. I was watching it because of JCW, but his character was so annoying and childish and I know that if that character was played by different actor I would loath him so much. The biggest red flag ever. I loved the main heroine though, she was clever and strong. Like yeah she was good at everything but I don't mind, I just loved her and she deserved so much more... The romance was I don't know... the chemistry was there but I didn't feel it it¨s some epic love. Tal Tal was side character which stole my heart, his tactic mind and fact he started having respect towards Ki through time, they were besties for me. Even though I wasn't that big fan of the show like most of the people, the characters have grown on me and the finale destroyed me big time. The soundtrack was so nice!
Perfect Marriage Revenge (완벽한 결혼의 정석 , 2023, 12 eps.) It had so much potential, but it didn't live up to it. I enjoyed ML, he was another green forest. But I was expecting a little more satisfying revenge from FL. Nervertheless it was solid drama, I like it.
Link: Eat, Love, Die (링크: 먹고 사랑하라, 죽이게, 2022, 16 eps) Interesting plot, but that slow pacing of the story was killing me. I'd prefer 12 eps, because it'd be enough. I enjoyed the main characters, plus FL's mom and grandma who were stealer of the show how hillarious they were. The characters were main reason I finished it.
The K2 (더 케이투, 2016, 16 eps) Ji Chang-wook has become my favorite actor. I love how he can play anything. And the action is so good when he's there. I was excited after a few episodes in, the action, political schemes. But in the end only Ji Chang wook and Song Jun-a were saving this show. Her villain character Choi Yoo-jin was magnificent and interesting persona. Thanks to them I wanted to finish it and I did!
My sweet mobster (놀아주는 여자, 2024, 16 eps) I enjoyed the idea of the show. Loved the guys and their boss. But it was dragging a bit in the end. It took me a while to finish it because of it.
Family Matters (가족계획, 2024, 6 eps) It was good to see Bae Doona again after so long. The story was interesting. Hope they are planning second season, because it definitely deserves it.
The Trunk (트렁크, 2024, 8 eps) The plot was very confusing at first, it took me 2 episode to understand it. Pacing was very slow and if there wouldn't be main couple I'd just give up, but I enjoy them. Their chemistry was natural and fact, they healed each other at some point!
Family by choice (조립식 가족, 2024, 16 eps) I must say I was pleasantly suprised how well they did the remake of Go ahead. The essense of that show was there, but it made it more its own show.
Face Me (페이스 미, 2024, 12 eps) Beginning was promising, but it flopped in half way. I can't blame cast too much, because main issue was script, they couldn't do better job because of it. I was missing development of characters and the fact the killer was obvious from very beginning wasn't cool, I love being surprised.

2023 End of Year Post - kdrama edition
Yes, we have a some of December left, and I want to check out Death's Game but whatever. I got time for this now and not sure if I will have later so here goes.
This is only going to cover kdramas that aired in 2023; if I watched it but it was made in a different year, it’s not on the list. This was an excellent kdrama year, the likes of which we hadn't had in a long time.
DRAMAS WATCHED
In order of liking from least to most as opposed to pure quality so pls don't come for me, fans of some popular dramas that are on my nope list. Also, I am including if I’ve seen enough to make up my mind; yes I realize that’s inaccurate, but that’s my list.
33. The Escape of the Seven - this is so aggressively stupid and mean that it feels like the makers are playing a practical joke seeing how much their audience will take. This has a season 2 coming, so the answer is a lot.
32. Behind Your Touch - the FL gets superpowers by touching people's and animals' butts. Yes, you read this right. Do I really need to add anything?
31. King the Land - yes, it was a hit. Yes, it stars popular actors. I HATED IT LIKE IT TOUCHED MY BUTT TO GET SUPERPOWERS!!! Plastic people in paint by the numbers story, with about as much genuineness or retability as a barbie aisle in walmart. I never expect much from Yoona so whatever, but to have LJH go from The Red Sleeve to this boggles the mind.
30. Mrs Durian - this is so dumb that I think I lost a few IQ points watching this, but its insanity becomes entertaining - I mean what kdrama can you name where a daughter in law declares her love and lust for her mother in law at a family dinner?
29. The Matchmakers - there is nothing offensive about this drama at all. But there is nothing in the least interesting either. If elevator music took drama shape, it would be this show.
28. Destined with You - sorry, Rowoon, I am still fond of you, but you are two for two in drama duds department this year. This is a drama where I loved ep 1, liked ep 2, was indifferent to 3 and...you get the point. Each ep was worse than the one before, and I bailed before I was dragged into a cosmic singularity.
27. Oasis - great first two episodes. Unfortunately it was not a two ep show. The performances are solid but the story is just not there - the effect is like a fancy chef making an amazing sauce to put on pig slop.
26. Boyhood - it's not you, it's me in action. I can see why people would like it but a 34-year old playing a high schooler in a Weak Hero Class 1 Slapstick Edition is no go for me.
25. Castaway Diva - it's so precious and kooky in the most annoying ways, with the most well-adjusted abused castaway in history. I like magic realism when done by Jorge Amado, but this ain't Amado.
24. Island - it had a good concept, good cast and fun visuals but the execution deserved one of ML's swords through the neck.
23. The Worst of Evil - if I wanted an American show, I'd watch one. Very solid performances though.
22. Song of the Bandits - period edition of what I said about The Worst of Evil.
21. Welcome to Samdalri - and goodbye to any hope of emotional involvement.
20. Joseon Attorney - I have yet to like a single sageuk centered around a profession and this was not an exception. I guess it could be worse but it also could have been so much better.
19. Twinkling Watermelon - everyone loved this drama. Everyone except for me. It's the kind of precious that sets my teeth on edge and I couldn't stand half the main characters we were supposed to root for. I guess I like my fruits to shine steadily.
18. Our Blooming Youth - probably the biggest disappointment on this list. This is not a bad drama by any means, but with that cast and that story (I loved the novel), I was hoping for a memorable sageuk not merely all right.
17. Vigilante - it has the emotional complexity and nuance of a punch to the throat but it gives us quasi-gay openly-murderous dudes going after psychos and Yoo Ji Tae holding feral Nam Joo Hyuk by his hoodie at his feet.
16. The Forbidden Marriage - expected nothing but it was a surprisingly enjoyable trifle of a costume drama that was also quite pretty.
15. Arthdal Chronicles: Sword of Aramun - a hot mess but such an entertaining epic one. And it gave us TWO Lee Jun Kis in period gear and who am I to cavil at the bounty of God?
14. The Story of Park's Marriage - it's a trifle, a souffle, so light it might blow away, but it keeps my attention and is so fun and sweet.
13. My Lovely Liar - a huge surprise, that manages to mix a murder mystery and a romcom, and shocked me by showing Hwang Minhyun can act.
12. Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 - the original ToNT was my fave drama of its year and I did not think it needed a sequel. But this is not a sequel but more of a side-quel and is such a total delight with brotherly love, adventures, romance and hijinks. It's a joy.
11. Perfect Marriage Revenge - it's actually very hard to do a soap right but this slim 12 ep drama managed. So fun, so crazy, such a good ship!
10. My Lovely Boxer - not really about sports, but about two broken people finding salvation because of and in each other. Also, if you like age gap romances, this is delicious. Sort of loses steam by the end but c’est la vie.
9. The Secret Romantic Guesthouse - this was a sageuk that was not on my radar with a bunch of actors I was not familiar with but it took my heart away. A good plot that was perfectly paced, characters and ships I adored, a logical ending. This is one of the biggest positive surprises of the year for me.
8. Tell Me That You Love Me - a slice of life remake (sort of, it's more "inspired by") of my favorite jdrama of all time. It's not as good as the jdrama because nothing could be, but it's an aching lovely story with some incredible performances.
7. See You In My 19th Life - funny and romantic and haunting and hopeful and odd. This was one of my favorites of the year.
6. Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow - it's rare for me to like a (1) sequel (2) with FL actress change (3) that is a Hong Sisters drama. But this was such a gorgeous, surprisingly achy story of love and loss and love regained with some cool monster fighting in the middle. Between the two seasons, this is the first Hong Sisters' drama I enjoyed from beginning to end in well over a decade.
5. My Demon - so tropey (chaebols, supernaturals) but it proves that these tropes are popular for a reason. The chemistry is fire, the story is unpredictable and the whole thing is an addictive delight. A rare drama where I like each new ep more than the last one.
4. Goryeo Khitan War - an old school sageuk in every meaning of the term (no romance, no eye candy, lots of bearded men, battles and politics), this feels like watching an epic movie more than a drama. The vast cast all earns their place and the performances (mainly from character actors given a chance to shine) are incredible.
3. Call It Love - two very very damaged people finding love and healing with each other. This is a narrative very hard to do to my satisfaction but when it's done well, as here, there are few things that can hold a candle to it.
2. My Dearest - a masterpiece of cinematography, narrative, performances. This is an old-school epic romance in the best sense of the term. If it doesn't make you swoon or break your heart, there is something wrong with you. A story of two untraditional, strong-willed, flawed people who fall in love in the middle of the horrifying Qing invasion of Korea and have to deal with all that the world throws at them, this is a bona fide masterpiece.
1 - Moon in the Day - who knew my favorite kdrama of the year will star a store brand Domyoji from Extraordinary You and an actress I was never familiar with. But this part period/part modern fantasy tale of doomed cursed lovers is everything I knew I wanted and everything I didn't know I wanted but did. Two lovers where their love did not save them and in modern day it might not again, has got me obsessed the way I haven't been in years.
FAVORITE DRAMA
Moon in the Day - if there is such a thing as a drama made perfectly for me, this gorgeous, emotionally haunting, utterly romantic, twisty tale is it.
WORST DRAMA
The Escape of the Seven. This drama is proof that demons exist and not sexy ones like Song Kang but horrible nasty ones who delight in the torment this hot mess inflicted on its viewers.
FAVORITE MALE CHARACTER
Do Ha, Moon in the Day - a Silla general and a consummate killer who committed atrocities on the orders of his monster father and yearned to die for them, who found the meaning in life in loving his enemy but it did not make him better, a man so obsessed he literally was around for 1500 years of horrifying ghostly existence and still went "worth it" for a woman who killed him as long as he knew she loved him while she did it. He's intense and competent and beyond fucked up and has never had a normal day and I love him so so so very much from a safe distance.
Tumblr media
FAVORITE FEMALE CHARACTER
Gil Chae, My Dearest - she starts out as vain and spoiled but the horrors that break so many others bring out all her fierce survivor potential and she becomes such a force of nature - capable of incredible love but also sacrifice and strength and compassion.
Tumblr media
Runner Up: Shin Hye Sun's reincarnator in See You In My 19th Life - quirky, damaged, strong, so odd and so vulnerable at once.
Tumblr media
NEEDS TO BE MURDERED
There are a lot of characters who fit that category (King Injo in My Dearest? My God) but the crown belongs to So Ri Bu from Moon in the Day. You think you've seen abusive parents but until you've seen a man abuse his son his whole life and then continue for 1500 years after his death, you ain't seen nothing!
FAVORITE SHIP
The doomed by the narrative OTP of Moon in The Day. Only thing that's better than enemies to lovers is enemies while lovers and their impossible relationship where her killing him is a supreme act of love and his refusing to let go is so strong that he stays around for 1500 years watching her, helpless as she dies over and over again, is everything you ever want.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Runner up: Jang Hyun/Gil Chae, My Dearest. They are so strong and so damaged and it takes them so long to figure out what they feel and what the other person feels but their love and sacrifice and complexities are perfect.
Tumblr media
FAVORITE SECONDARY OTP
Kim Shi Yeol/Hong Joo, The Secret Romantic Guesthouse - an assassin bodyguard pretending to be a carefree scholar and a widow of the man he killed to protect his king (and whose life was destroyed as a result.) I enjoyed the main OTP of this drama but I was utterly and completely unhinged for the secondary couple.
Tumblr media
I'd have probably picked Rang and his mermaid from TotNT 1938 even over them, but they really were the main OTP of that drama.
Tumblr media
NOTP
King the Land couple seems like an easy target but honestly, they are both so terribly bland and antiseptic and marketing by committee, they kinda deserve each other. So I am gonna go with Destined with You, one half of which thinks supernaturally roofying someone into loving them is cute and the other half thinks dating one woman while wooing another is totally a-ok. Ugh.
FAVORITE SCENE
There is no competition for the scene in the slave market in My Dearest, where Jang Hyun finds Gil Chae - the way he screams and tries to clutch the hem of her skirt will live in my head forever.
Tumblr media
And the scene where he 'wins' that horrifying bet, or the scene where she finds him in a pile of bodies - they are as good also. Or when he fights off a squad to protect her even though he's sick. That whole drama is perfect.
Runner up: the scene of Do Ha executing Ri Ta's family, covered in blood, as she looks at him from the crowd in Moon in the Day.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Or the scene where he talks about how he cannot live as a person but at least maybe she will kill him and he will die as one. Or when her confession in the past intercuts with his walking in the present, or when he comes home in his bloodied armor and she finds he has a fever and it's the first tender touch he's probably ever known. Her murdering So Ri Bu saying she knows she's going against filial piety in loving her parents' murderer, the way they hug, both bloody, as he says "let's live." The way she says she can't go on as she's hit rock bottom and he replies she cannot quit because she must accompany him to his rock bottom now. Honestly, the drama is a font of amazingness.
Also, the opening scene of Goryeo Khitan War or the scene of Yang Gyu ordering to shoot the captives and having to do so himself.
The OTP meeting again at the intersection at the end of ep 1 of Tell Me That You Love Me. SHS comforting ABH as he's having a traumatic breakdown in 19th Life. The love-making scene in Call It Love. There were a lot of great scenes this year.
BIGGEST CRUSH
Lee Jang Hyun, My Dearest - is that even a competition? He's flawed - vain, often emotionally closed off, not great at processing emotions, lashing out when hurt. He is also incredibly heroic in a real, knows the cost but bears it, kind of way. Whatever he does, he commits utterly but it's never without understanding the cost. He felt both larger than life and utterly real. He went through hell and maintained his soul and the way he loved Gil Chae was breath-taking to behold.
Tumblr media
Runner Up: Yang Gyu, Goryeo Khitan War - an experienced military commander who wins an impossible victory even as it ravages his soul. Competence is sexy as fuck.
Tumblr media
BEST SCENE STEALER CHARACTER
Rang, Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 - 1938 really was Rang's chance to shine and he took it. For a character I started out disliking in the original, he really stole my entire heart in this drama. I am so glad he got his happy ending with his brother and his girl.
Tumblr media
Runner Up: Crown Prince, My Dearest. He started out as a sheltered, spoiled aristocrat, convinced the world owed him for existing. He grew up slowly and painfully into an amazing man. And then was murdered for it and I cried.
Tumblr media
NEEDS A SEQUEL
Arthdal - it leaves the story at a good stopping point but it's very much a "world in flux, adventures and conflicts continue" ending and I would love to see more of these characters. I know we won't but it would have been nice.
NEEDS SCISSORS TAKEN TO IT
Behind Your Touch - should have been snipped at birth.
TOO MANY SCISSORS TAKEN TO IT
Vigilante - I don't mean it had scissors taken to it because it's not cdrama and there is no NRTA, but this drama would have benefitted from being longer. I mean, I love fights and gay polycules as much as the next tumblr person but a bit more character development would not have come amiss. (ahaha - I said come. Leave me alone.)
TROPE THAT NEEDS TO DIE
I don't care about cops/doctors/trash collectors/whoever - workplace drama centering on their "cases" needs to die. I hate procedurals from any country and Korea is no exception.
FAVORITE TROPE WE’VE SEEN A LOT OF
Supernatural critter devoted to their OTP with all the power of their long life.
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT
Our Blooming Youth - it was far from terrible but it was a giant meh. I was so excited to see Park Hyung Sik in a sageuk (that wasn't the hot mess that was Hwarang) and I adored the source novel. It actually started well and then...it's like Revenge of the Beige!
BIGGEST GOOD SURPRISE
I want to say Moon in the Day but to be honest, I was excited by posters and trailers so it wasn't wholly a surprise despite not having much of an opinion on the actors before I saw them. So I am going to say My Demon. I was bored by the trailers, I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a Kim Yoo Jung drama and before this year I would have said Song Kang was an incredibly limited actor in everything I've seen him in and not appealing to me at all. And here I am rabidly rabiding for this drama!
If I am not limiting myself to dramas but can use this for actors - Hwang Minhyun in My Lovely Liar. I genuinely did not think the man could act and then he gave such a pitch-perfect, nuanced performance out of nowhere!
2023 DRAMAS I HAVEN’T SEEN THAT I MOST WANT TO WATCH
I have actually watched all the kdramas that aired this year that I wanted to check out except for Evilive. I am saving this for when I have time.
BEST NON-2023 DRAMA I’VE WATCHED IN 2023
I don't know if I'd say it's the best but Say You Love Me (2004) with Kim Rae Won as a quasi monk seduced away from his true love by an evil older woman was a hell of a ride.
MOST ANTICIPATED
Love Song for Illusion (Lady assassin falls for her royal target who has two personalities), Captivating the King (lady spy falls for her royal target who is tormented) - notice a theme? Also Flower that Blooms at Night because Honey Lee in a sageuk, The Life of Mrs Ock (Lim Ji Yeon in a sageuk), The Love Story of Chun Hwa (an "erotic" sageuk, hmmmm, what?!), Hong Rang (Lee Jae Wook in a super angst sageuk), Queen Woo (that cast and set in Goguryeo!), Wong Kyung (about Lee Bang Won's wife and I love the cast.) Basically, if it's period, I am there with bells on.

Frank Bruno's Boxing as actual Punch Out characters
I have read a post made by @thorkelsongirl about this game called Frank Bruno's Boxing, which is basically a Punch-Out bootleg according to them with Frank Bruno, a British boxer who once defeated Mike Tyson twice. This game's main opponents have some pretty interesting characters who are similar to the actual Punch Out characters while others are made entirely 'original' so to speak. So I have the privilege to recreate these characters if they were actual (and official) characters in the Punch-Out lore. Of course, I won't be adding Frank Bruno in this series of mine since I am not comfortable about adding real-life people (except if I have to make a new boxer inspired by the character but not this one).
So, here are the opponents which I would like to call Branch D, each of them spit into different circuits of course:
(Minor Circuit)
Canadian Crusher as Bud Lumberjack
From: Ontario, Canada
Age: 30
Weight: 438 lbs.
Height: 6'3
Rank: #2
Fights: 44-0
Bud is the little brother of Bear Hugger from Ontario who works full-time as a lumberjack for a local sawmill. Unlike his nature-loving older brother who hangs out with bears, Bud is also a city guy sometimes who does vlogs about protecting the environment from deforestation, pollution, and natural disasters. He is also the one who teaches his dear older brother how to use a cell phone and a computer. His skills in the ring are the same as those of Bear Hugger, but they are different with a few new moves he came up with himself.
Fling Long Chop as Fang Lee
From: Aberdeen, Hong Kong
Age: 21
Weight: 145 lbs
Height: 5'7
Rank: #3
Fights: 32-1
Fang was once a kung fu artist but later he adapted his skills into boxing and entered the WVBA. He is a student under Hoy Quarlow and is Dragon Chen's fellow classmate. Fang is considered a very friendly guy with an undisputed appetite yet he still keeps in shape. He is a mukbanger and has his own YouTube channel where he does mukbang videos as well as kung fu instructional videos with Dragon Chen as his regular guest on his channel.
Andra Puncheredov as Mr. Baker
From: Kyiv, Ukraine
Age: 33
Weight: 233 lbs
Height: 6'5
Rank: #5
Fights: 56-1
Mr. Baker is world-renowned chef from Ukraine and is known for making delicious delicacy. He is known to be an old-soul with a habit of spoiling anyone with his food, including Fang. He is also drinking buddies with Soda Popinski and Aran Ryan.
(Major Circuit)
Tribal Trouble as Queen Nzinga II
From: Northern Angola, Africa
Age: 20
Weight: 125 lbs
Height: 5'6
Rank: #1
Fights: 69-0
Queen Nzinga II is the direct descendant of the first Nzinga who is known to be a strong woman with a strong will. She is intellectual in the arts of science and music and was the prime minister of Northern Angola until she became a boxer to represent her country.
Frenchie France as Madam Spider
From: Rouen, France
Age: 25
Weight: 130 lbs
Height: 5'7
Rank: #4
Fights: 54-3
Madam Spider is a mysterious woman whose beauty has a deceptive nature hidden beneath. She has a fondness for spiders and gothic fashion. No one has ever tried to interact with her... well some who survive in conversation with her.
Ravioli Mafiosi as Don Marco
From: Sicily, Italy
Age: 33
Weight: 234 lbs
Height: 6'0
Rank: #1
Fights: 70-3
Don Marco is your typical Italian godfather who doesn't mind getting his hands dirty but he likes to be fair to those who he respects as a true fighter. He is a man of culture and honor, with his signature grin and cigar in his mouth.
(World Circuit)
Antipodean Andy as Dean Outback
From: Lithgow, Australia
Age: 27
Weight: 170 lbs
Height: 5'9
Rank: #2
Fights: 29-0
Dean is an outdoor guy who loves exploring, adventures and of course, the animals. He has his own TV show on National Geographic which is dedicated to the beauty of the natural Aussie nature. He is a very rowdy and excited guy who doesn't mind the danger due to his positive attitude. He is also a very muscular guy when it comes to boxing and he was also a former contestant on Ninja Warrior.
Peter Perfect as Stanley Gold
From: Palm Springs, Florida
Age: 32
Weight: 245 lbs
Height: 6'1
Rank: Champion
Fights: 89-1
Stanley is the undisputed champion of Branch D and not only is he an influential actor but he is also secretly working as a drag queen under the persona, Golden Lily. He and Super Macho Man are quite the famous rivals in both the ring and in showbiz but unlike Macho's vanity and pride, Stanley is a simple rich man with a heart of gold and a perfect smile.

Montana part 3
Tumblr media
Master List
Characters: Beau Arlen x Reader, Jenny Hoyt x Reader (cousins)
Warnings: mention of Domestic Violence, threats, fluff, mention of pregnancy loss,  slow burn🔥
Minors DNI 18+
A/N: New series I’m working on. Doesn’t follow the Big Sky story but has some characters.
This is a work of fiction. All work is my own, don’t take it.
I edited it quickly and typed with one hand due to surgery recovery. Please overlook any errors. Thanks. 😊
🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀🌀
Your alarm blared startlingly you awake. You reached over, turned it off, and stretched. You climbed out of bed and grabbed your clothes before heading to take a shower. The hot water felt good on your skin.
About 20 minutes later you were ready and grabbed your stuff to head out to work. You were nervous and excited. Last night’s attack left you shaken and you were worried whoever it was might come back.
You went to send Beau a message to let him know you were ready and that’s when you saw the message from last night. Your heart beat fast and that familiar fear crept through your body. You were standing on the front porch waiting for Beau not paying attention. You kept looking at the message. Beau walked up and said “good morning”. Causing you to gasp loudly. “Oh my god. I’m so sorry Y/N. I didn’t mean to scare you.” He said. “Oh Beau. I’m sorry. I just was distracted by this” you showed him the message.
“Do you really think David is behind what happened last night? How would he have found you” concern raising in his voice. “I don’t know. I don’t share my location on my phone and he’s never known where Jenny lived. I just don’t know. I’m scared Beau.” He grabbed you and held you close. “I’ve got you sweetheart. Let’s get you to work and talk to Ms Suzan about everything. She’s amazing and will help keep you safe at work. Mr Rick, the chef is great too. He’s got 3 daughters and is known as a big teddy bear unless someone messes with a woman.” “Thank you Beau” you closed the distance and kissed him softly. He deepened the kiss causing you to moan. When he pulled away you were sad but you didn’t want to be late.
Pulling up at the coffee shop the lights were on and you could see Ms Suzan inside. Taking a deep breath you got out. She greeted you at the door and Beau walked in with you. His hand was on the small of your back leading you in. “Wow, Good morning Sheriff. To what do I owe this visit? “Good morning Ms Suzan. I’m bringing Y/N in to work this morning. She had a little problem last night and I want to talk to you and Rick about it. We need to keep our girl safe.” You smiled when he called you his girl. Ms Suzan smiled and said “we can make sure she is. What seems to be the problem?”
“Well her ex is threatening her. He’s been abusive before and she found the strength to leave him. We believe he’s responsible for what happened last night. We just want to make sure when she’s here she’s safe. I can keep her safe when she’s not working. We wanted to make sure you guys were aware in case he decided to do something stupid.”
“Well Sheriff I can assure you she will be safe here. Rick and I will keep her safe. I promise that.” She offered a soft smile and squeezed your hand. “Y/N, you’re not alone and I’m so proud of you for getting away from him.” You smiled at her.
Beau stood up and said “it looks like you’re in good hands. I’ll let you get to work. I’ll be back to pick you up when you’re done.” He leaned over and kissed you softly. You blushed.
“Uh Sheriff, how about a coffee to go.” Ms Suzan asked. “Oh sure. That would be great.” She went to make his coffee while you stocked things and got ready to open. Beau walked over to you and put his hand on the small of your back. He whispered in your ear “I’m going to do whatever I need to do to keep you safe. I will not lose you.” He kissed your neck and a shiver went down your spine.
“Here’s your coffee Sheriff, and don’t worry we will be fine.” She smiled. He nodded and walked towards the door. He took one more look at you and then left. Ms Suzan was smiling at you and said “looks like our Sheriff is smitten. You’ve got yourself a good man there.” She touched your arm “you’re going to be okay, Y/N. I left an abusive marriage years ago and found the love of my life afterwards. There are still good men out there, and Beau Arlen is one of the best ones.”
The morning at the coffee shop was busy. So busy you never had a chance to look at your phone. When you had a moment you saw you missed a text from Beau.
Beau: hey sweetheart. I know you’re busy but I’m going to stop by around lunch time. We’ll grab some lunch. I found out some information.
You: I can’t wait to see you. We’ve been really busy. I hope to see you soon.
As soon as you hit send you heard the bell above the door ring. You looked up and saw Beau. You smiled and he smiled. “Hey Y/N, go ahead and head to lunch. I’ll see you in an hour” Ms Suzan said. You looked confused “an hour? Isn’t it only 30?” “You go enjoy your time with him. Now hand me your apron and I’ll see you in an hour. We’ve got this.” She winked at you.
You chuckled and walked over to Beau. “Hey beautiful. How’s your day been?” “Busy. I didn’t think we’d ever slow down.” You laughed. “So, Mr Arlen. You have me for an hour what are we going to do?” “Well I already picked up lunch and I wanted to take you on a picnic if that’s okay with you.” He smiled. “That sounds perfect, Beau.”
He walked you to his truck and you got in. He drove to an open field and stopped. He helped you out, grabbed a blanket and a basket. Your heart fluttered and you smiled.
Beau spread the blanket out and grabbed your hand helping you sit. It was a warm day and the sun was shining. This was absolutely perfect. Beau started to get the lunch out and laid it on the blanket. He had bottles of water, sandwiches, fresh fruit and chips. The two of you started eating and talking.
“So Beau you said you had something you wanted to talk to me about. What’s going on?” “Well I had them tow your car to the station. We were going to take pictures for evidence and I was going to get new tires put on it. Pop and I were checking over the car for evidence and we found something. Under the hood in an inconspicuous spot was a GPS tracker. This is how David found you. He must have put it on your car before you left. He’s probably been tracking you for a long time.”
Your eyes went wide. “I can’t believe this. How can I be so stupid. The minute he hit me I should have left. Now everyone here is in danger because of me.” You sobbed.
Beau took your hands “Hey, no this isn’t on you. I’m going to let Jenny know as soon as I see her this afternoon.” He lifted your chin “I’m going to do everything in my power to keep you safe. I promise.” Beau leaned in and his lips ghosted yours. You moved closer and both of you let your lips connect.
The kiss was soft at first then turned passionate quickly. Beau’s hands roamed your body and you moaned into his mouth. Your hands ran through his hair and down his back.
He leaned you back on the blanket and hovered over your body. As he pulled away, both of you were breathing heavily. He looked in your eyes “so beautiful” and you blushed. His lips connected with yours again. You could feel your desire growing and pooling between your thighs. His desire was evident by the hardness you felt on your leg.
You wanted him. All of him. His hands ran under your shirt leaving heat and goosebumps all over. Beau leaned up “is this okay?” “More than okay” you whispered.
As Beau’s hands and lips explored your body you moaned and moved into his touch. You were willing to let him take you right there. The sounds of moans and kisses mingled with the sounds of birds singing. It was a beautiful symphony. The moment was interrupted by the sound of Beau’s phone going off.
He growled and you sighed. It was time to go back to work. Your skin was on fire and your cheeks flushed and warm. As Beau leaned up he kissed your lips, tip of your nose and then your forehead. You giggled a little.
“Guess it’s time to get back Y/N.” “Yeah, I’m sure Ms Suzan would be upset if I didn’t come back. Thank you for this wonderful lunch” you smiled.
You and Beau cleaned up lunch and climbed back in his truck. He took your hand in his and held it to the coffee shop. He walked you inside and Ms Suzan met your eyes. She noticed he was holding your hand and smiled.
“Howdy Ms Suzan. Our girl is back safe and sound” he smiled. “I see that. Thank you Sheriff. I’m sure you took good care of her.” She winked and you blushed. Beau smiled, nodded and kissed your forehead. “I’ll see you later.” You nodded “Okay. See you after work.”
You grabbed your apron and put it back on. You looked around the shop and it wasn’t busy at all. Ms Suzan walked over to you “That man is completely smitten with you.” She smiled at you and touched your arm. “I like him too, Ms Suzan. We are taking things slow.” She nodded and smiled. “Slow is good, but that doesn’t change the fact he’s smitten” she laughed as she walked in the back.
The day went by slower than yesterday. You weren’t as busy. Right before you closed Jenny stopped by. “Hey Jenny Bean. How was your day” you asked. “It was good. I just wanted to check on you. Beau told me about the GPS. I’m so sorry Y/N. I can’t believe David would stoop so low.” She said.
“Yeah he’s crazy. I’m kinda worried about what he’s capable of.” You told her. She touched your arm “hey we will keep you safe. I might not agree with you seeing Beau right now, but I know he will help keep you safe. He’s been working all day getting a restraining order in place, and cameras around our house.” You smiled softly because you knew he’d stop at nothing to protect you.
Beau walked in the door a few minutes later. Jenny nodded and smiled. Your eyes lit up and she saw it. He walked over to you “Ready to go Y/N?” You nodded yes and grabbed your bag. Jenny told you she’d see you at home later and she hugged you then left. Beau offered you his arm and walked you to his truck. You climbed in and so did he.
“Where to Beau?” “I was thinking of my place to finally have that dinner I owe you.” He smiled. You took his hand and agreed. On the way to his place your mind drifted to this afternoon. You wonder how far you two would have gone if the alarm hadn’t gone off. A smile crept on your face and Beau looked over at you seeing it.
He pulled in his driveway and you saw his camper all lit up. It was small but beautiful. You figured it was temporary until he decided what to do with the situation involving his ex and his daughter.
As he got out he walked around helping you out. “Welcome to my home” he smiled. “It’s perfect, Beau.” The two of you walked up to the porch and he offered you a seat. He lit the fire and offered you something to drink. “I’m gonna get dinner started. You sit back and relax” he smiled. You nodded in agreement.
You were taking in the beautiful surroundings and watching the fire cast shadows around you. Beau walked out with a beer and sat down. “Dinner is almost ready. Do you want to eat inside or outside” he asked. “How about inside.” You replied. “Sounds good to me.” He smiled. A pregnant silence fell between you two. You finally broke the silence “Beau, do you really think I’m safe since David knows where I am?” Beau sat up and took your hand, “Y/N, yes I do think you are safe. Between all the people here who know and care about you, we will keep you safe.” You smiled and shook your head. “Thank you, Beau.”
Before too long he heard the timer go off and went inside to pull dinner out of the oven. He popped his head out of the door and told you it was done. You walked in and a heavenly aroma filled your nose. You looked over at his small table and it was set beautifully. He had placed wine glasses, plates, silverware, napkins and candles on the table. He smiled over at you and you smiled back.
Beau pulled your chair out for you and you took a seat. You smiled up at him and he kissed your head. He walked over to the stove and brought the casserole dish over to the table and sat it between the two of you. “This is my famous lasagna.” He smiled. “It smells delicious, Beau. Thank you.” He cut a piece for you and served you. You grabbed the salad and a piece of bread. The two of you sat and ate.
You let out a pornagraphic moan as you took a bite of the lasagna and Beau chuckled. You blushed “I am so sorry. That was just amazing.” He smiled and said “I’ve never made a woman moan with my cooking before. I’ll take it as a compliment.” You blushed and smiled. The two of you finished dinner and took your drinks outside to the deck.
Beau turned on some music and you started humming along to it. Beau looked over and smiled at you holding out his hand. “Care to dance?” He smiled. You took his hand and he pulled you up. Beau pulled you close to his body and the two of you started swaying to the music. You placed your head on his shoulder as his hands held you tightly. Beau smelled amazing. He smelled like a mixture of woods and amber with a hint of mint. You buried your face in the crook of his neck taking in his scent.
Beau kissed the top of your head as he held you. You sighed deeply and so did he. His hand tilted your chin up and he placed a kiss on your lips. It was soft at first and then turned needy. You felt every fiber of your being screaming out to him, wanting to be touched, taken and used in every way possible by him. You knew Beau would be respectful, but part of you begged for him to just use you. Even if it was just for one night.
Beau felt his desire growing too. He wanted you and not just for one night. He wanted to make you his, protect you and learn what your body feels like under his. He knew you were just coming out of a really bad relationship and he didn’t want to rush, but god he felt something with you he never had. Not even with his ex. He looked in your y/c/e eyes and ran his thumb over your cheek. “You are so beautiful. So strong and amazing.” You smiled at Beau “You’re not bad to look at yourself, Sheriff.” You chuckled.
The two of you sat back down but didn’t let go of each other’s hand. His calloused fingers rubbing circles on your hand. Beau and you sat on his porch for hours talking about life, love and the future. He told you about his daughter, and showed you her picture. She was beautiful. “So, Y/N had you and David discussed having children before everything went bad?” He asked. You looked at him with tears pricking your eyes. “Oh, Y/N I am so sorry I didn’t mean to ask anything too personal. Please just forget what I asked.” He apologized. “No Beau, it’s fine. I wanted to have children. David didn’t. I got pregnant a few months after we got married but I lost the baby before I even told him. It’s probably for the best. I could never bring a child into this world married to that monster.” You said. “I would love to have children one day if I found the right man.” You added. Beau smiled. He thought to himself “I’d love to have a child with you.”
After a few hours more you realized it was late. You stretched and yawned. “Oh wow, look at the time. I need to get you home.” Beau said, looking at his watch. You sighed and nodded in agreement. You were perfectly content sitting there talking to him and getting to know him better. You were even content staying the night. That is if he wanted you to. Beau extended his hand and helped you up.
As you stood you lost your balance and fell into his arms. You both laughed. You leaned up and kissed his lips. He put his hands in your hair and pulled you closer to him. You could feel your arousal growing between your thighs and his arousal pushed against your stomach. Could you tell him how much you wanted him? Did he want you as much as you wanted him? Would he even touch you while you’re still married to David? These were all questions running in your mind. What you didn’t realize is he was having the same thoughts about you.
He helped you to the truck and you climbed in. Beau walked around to the driver’s side and got in starting the truck. He took your hand and held it. A shiver went through your body. His touch ignited something inside you every time. The drive home was pretty quiet. You and Beau let a comfortable silence fall between the two of you. When he pulled in the driveway you saw a light still on. “I guess Jenny is waiting for me. She’s probably going to ground me for being out after curfew” you laughed. Beau laughed and said “Yeah, I probably won’t hear the end of it tomorrow either. Want me to come in with you?” “No, I can handle Jenny Bean. You can walk me to my door though.” You smiled.
Beau got out of the truck and walked around helping you out. He held your hand to the door. “I had a great time tonight, Beau.” “Me too, we should do it again soon.” He said. You nodded your head in agreement. As the two of you walked up the steps he grabbed your arm turning you around. He cupped your face and kissed your lips. “Good night, Y/N. I’ll be back in the morning to drive you to work.” You blushed “Okay, Beau. I’ll see you in the morning. Thank you.” You kissed him again “good night, Beau”.
His hand slid down your arm as he started to walk away. You bit your lip and sighed. You wanted to ask him to come in. You wanted him to touch more than your lips. You wanted him, all of him. As he got to the last step he turned around and looked at you. His green eyes now dark with lust and need. He bounded up the stairs taking you in his arms and kissed you passionately. You moaned in his mouth and grabbed the door handle. You didn’t care if Jenny was awake or not. He was coming inside with you.
Once inside the house you closed and locked the front door. Jenny was nowhere to be found, you sighed a little relief. You guided Beau to your room and his lips connected with yours again. This was really happening, you told yourself. Beau kicked the door closed with his foot. “Are you sure you’re ready sweetheart?” He asked. “Yes, Beau. I need you” you replied. With that Beau’s hands were on you and your’s on him.

Oh Rollo, you may think Raven is naive in her thinking, but I believe it takes a strong heart to be willing to see all sides of a person as a writer looks at the different facets of a character. Perhaps you should go out and have lunch with her, have a chat about your opinion on heroes and villains in stories. Should be enlightening to you.

Will Today be the Day?
Tumblr media
"I refuse to dine in the cafeteria."
Rollo had made it clear where he stood on the matter as soon as lunch hour came around. He cited a great many things to support his decision: the noise, the number of bodies crammed into one room, his stomach's delicate constitution.
Raven raised an eyebrow at his claims, but tactfully avoided questioning them. This was as polite as Rollo was going to get about wanting a moment of peace and quiet away from the mages he so despised—she had to cherish it.
"You can't tour the campus on foot and skip a meal in the middle of it. It's not healthy," she had told him. "If you won't eat in the cafeteria, then stay here. I'll fetch you something that's hopefully palatable."
He'd been waiting on a bench for a little over 20 minutes now, eating up almost half of the allotted time for lunch.
What is taking her so long? Rollo expelled a sigh into his handkerchief. Perhaps he had overestimated one simple-minded bird's abilities to gather food. If I wanted it done properly, I would have done it myself.
As the remnants of that thought fizzled out, it was replaced by the awareness of approaching foot steps. Quick-footed but light, as if their soles were barely touching the ground. Almost flighty in quality.
Rollo looked up—and there she was, Raven jogging at him with a paper bag overflowing with breads. A light sheen of sweat crowned her brow, and her cheeks were colored apple blossom pink from exertion.
She halted before him, bent over with one hand on her knee to collect her breath.
“Rollo-senpai!! Thank you for waiting,” Raven gasped out. “It was a war zone in the cafeteria today, everyone clamoring for the best food items…! But fortunately for me, the ghost chefs gifted me with whatever they couldn’t sell and yesterday’s leftovers. They’re a little stale, but still perfectly good!”
She thrust out the paper bag. Loaves and rolls of varying shapes, sizes, and textures peered out from it.
Rollo slowly nodded in approval. “I see. How prudent of you to save bread that would have otherwise gone to waste.”
He reached for a croissant—and at the same time, Raven plucked a sesame seed studded bun and tore it in half, then into even smaller bits. Rollo stared. She scattered the crumbs at her feet, paying him no mind.
“… What are you doing?”
The girl smiled softly. "It's everyone's lunch time.”
Then, turning away, Raven cupped a hand to her mouth and released a trilling song. It was a wordless tune, just a few cheery, rising notes.
The eager flapping of many pairs of wings filled the air. Moments later, a plethora of birds descended from the skies. They spread out—at Raven’s feet, on her arms, in her hair.
Rollo almost choked on day-old croissant.
“Wh-What in the world…?!”
Some birds started pecking at the crumbs. Others—mainly the ones nesting on Raven—twittered in greeting. She giggled and twittered back, her tongue twisting into forms Rollo couldn’t comprehend.
"You're proficient in animal languages,” he said faintly.
“Just the avian ones,” Raven clarified. “… Oh, and they say hello. Mr. Pigeon mentioned you seem irritable.”
Rollo frowned—not taking well to the comments. Instead of returning the greeting, he asked, “Why are you supplying the local vermin with food? You feed pests and they’ll return for more, be it rats, raccoons, stray dogs or cats, or… birds.”
There was a collective gasp from the flock, even the ones with their beaks crammed with crumbs.
“Shhh, don’t listen to him. He’s just a little crabby today,” Raven cooed to them. “He’s not usually like this.”
They stared back doubtfully.
“… Okay, he’s usually worse.”
“You shouldn’t enable them,” Rollo continued sternly. “Whatever it is you’re telling them, it must be something foolishly naive.”
“Nest in his hat,” a blue jay declared, “or in his ugly hair. That’ll teach him.”
“No, no, poop on his shoes. Humans hate that,” a dove suggested.
“Want us to peck his eyes out?” a robin offered.
“I’ll eat his liver,” a canary said sweetly, “like the eagle did in the tale of the Fire Thief.”
Raven shook her head at the needlessly aggressive birds. She knelt, letting the birds on her flutter or climb down to join the others, then took a seat herself beside Rollo. A moment of silence elapsed before she spoke again.
“If I recall correctly, the people in the City of Flowers look after community goats. The stories say that goats will come to help you in your time of need—and that’s where the tradition comes from.”
Rollo snorted. “You think songbirds will come to your aid?”
“I’m not being nice to them expecting something in return. I think… with the passage of time, something that started off with a reason behind it just becomes natural and routine. Something genuine.”
“That still doesn’t answer my question.”
“Not everything has an answer,” she replied mysteriously. “… In any case, this is our lunch period so we should unwind rather than spending it worrying over the details.”
“Your feathered friends look like they want to commit murder,” he commented stiffly.
“Maybe they wouldn’t look like that if you hadn’t insulted them to their faces?”
“The offer’s still on the table,” the peck-happy robin piped up.
“Hmph. I don’t understand why you indulge these pitiful creatures as you do. There is nothing to be gained from associating with them.”
“Maybe you see it that way, but I don’t.” Raven folded her arms and tilted her head to one side. “I like to think of it like this: every living being is the protagonist of its own story—but because of that, it also makes them a supporting character in other peoples’ stories. No one is a hero or a villain by default, they only become that through the lenses of other’s stories and interpretations. That’s why I try to give the benefit of the doubt and second chances.”
She waved a hand at the feasting cluster of birds. “Animals too, are protagonists and supporting characters. They lead their own lives, tell their own stories, and uphold our own as well. They deserve to be treated with the same dignity as you or I.”
Rollo grimaced. He could no longer get his croissant down—not comfortably, at least.
“… You may see yourself as a savior, but others may think differently.” Raven placed a hand on her chest. “But redemption is not yet out of reach. Even villains can have happily ever afters, and not necessarily at the cost of ‘turning good’. Fairy tales have evolved beyond the black and white binary.”
Rollo eyed her warily. The birds all seemed to be holding their breath in anticipation for his response.
“… You speak like the heroes with bleeding hearts from those very same stories,” he said at last. “You think yourself superior?”
“Not at all. I’m simply an outside observer. I can have faith and make wishes upon stars because I can see the potential overflowing from each and every character.
“What a childish way of viewing the world. It’s a fool’s dream.”
“But a dream nevertheless—and if it can be dreamed, then it’s a very real possibility.”
“Hmph. Has anyone ever told you that you have the imagination of a child?”
“I’ll take that as a compliment, Rollo-senpai."
“Of course you would.”
"You have a strong imagination yourself." Granted, it typically involves mages being extinguished in a blazing hellfire but that’s neither here nor there.
Raven shrugged and stuck her hand into the bread bag and rummaged around in it. She retrieved a slice of milk bread and chomped down.
“… Are you really going to spend your entire lunch griping? Let’s enjoy this moment. It’s not everyday when we have such good weather and unique company.”
Rollo said nothing more—the strained conversation was over. Pointless and unfruitful, as he had suspected it to be from the very beginning.
Sitting side by side, they munched on bread and avoided eye contact for the remainder of the period. Bird watching and drinking in the day together.

Marco X CisFem Reader
1
You sat quietly in your best friend's living room holding the game controller loosely in your hands which were resting lazily in your lap.
"I hate playing games with you guys." You groaned.
"C'mon F/N it wasn't that bad." Your best friend prodded your thigh with his toes.
"Ace." You deadpanned, "I died six times in a row. Luffy spends the whole time sneaking around behind other players so no one targets him and Marco shoots me almost immediately. Just a bunch of cheaters."
"I resent that-yoi." Marco called through the headset you'd forgotten was resting around your neck.
"Not talking to you!" You pouted yanking the headphone jack from the game system.
Heavy footsteps came bounding down the stairs. Ace sat up on the sofa handing you a throw pillow.
"C'mon F/N!" Once Marco was visible you chunked the pillow at his stupid face.
"You know better than to piss her off." Thatch commented following his brother down the stairs.
"Little shit." Marco grumbled.
"I know you aren't speaking like that about a woman, boy." A deep voice boomed from the den.
Marco paled, "Sorry F/N, I didn't know pops was home."
A beer bottle came sailing from the den shattering against the wall over Marco's left shoulder.
"My apologies lass, I didn't realize I'd raised such brutes." The enormous man emerged glaring at his son before turning a softer gaze to you.
"Thanks pops." You smiled sweetly, "I'll get him back later."
Ace was vibrating with laughter beside you.
"I'd expect nothing less." The old man chuckled flicking his blond son's forehead.
You'd practically grown up in this house. Ace had befriended you in sixth grade. When your father got a job that required a lot of travel Mr. Newgate was happy to take you in, insisting you call him pops like his adopted boys.
There were five brothers total. The two eldest Thatch and Marco were in high school when you met, Sabo is just a few months shy of being a year older than you and Ace, finally Luffy is the hyper active baby of the group. These boys may as well have been your brother's; no one messed with you once they came into your life.
Now in your early 20's you had a place of a place of your own but still spent most of your free time here. Your father moved to be closer to the central office of his firm a few years back. He'd wanted you to come but you just couldn't bear the thought of leaving these idiots behind.
Your phone whistled.
"The boyfriend beckons?" Ace asked watching you smile at the device in your hand.
"Yeah we have a date later." You murmured typing a reply.
You'd been dating Sanji Vinsmoke for the better part of two years now. You had your rough patches and fair share of arguments but you were happy with each other. The relationship didn't come without warnings from the brothers, knowing he was quite the ladies man before you got together. But he'd never given you a reason to question your trust.
Very recently he'd landed a job as a sous chef at a large restaurant in the city which drastically cut your time together; you didn't mind making changes to accommodate his dreams.
"One more game?" Ace nudged the controller back into your lap.
"Never again." You pushed it back, "I've gotta run some errands anyway."
"You're coming by tomorrow right?" He flopped back into the sofa as you stood.
"Of course, can't miss Sunday dinner even if pops if going out of town." He waved you off as you made your way to the front door.
Marco stood on the porch leaning over the rail puffing on a cigarette.
"This is where you're sulking." You teased.
"Nobody is sulking-yoi. You got me in trouble."
"You got yourself in trouble, with your big dumb mouth." You prodded his side, "And you should quit that by the way. You'll live longer."
"Sure sure." He muttered taking another drag.
"I'm serious. Besides, no girl is gonna want to kiss you if you taste like an ash tray."
"You used to want to kiss me ~" He teased referring to an embarrassing night when Ace had gotten ahold of your journal and read it aloud.
"I was young and stupid." You waved the flush of shame away.
When you were a freshman in high school you had a ridiculous crush on the blond. You were teased relentlessly for it until pops stepped in. Marco was the only one who didn't say a word, at the time anyway. Now he brings it up just to watch you be uncomfortable.
You both stood enjoying the afternoon breeze watching pops and Thatch load up the old pick-up parked in the driveway.
"Where's he going this time?" You asked absentmindedly bouncing shoulders with the blond.
"Fishing trip with Benn and Shanks." He replied smashing the unfinished cigarette into the banister, "Weren't you headed out to meet up with the pretty boy?"
"I wish you wouldn't call him that... but yes. I've gotta drop by Nami's place first so I guess I should head out." You checked the time on your phone.
"Dinner tomorrow." He reminded you wrapping an arm around your shoulder.
"Every Sunday for half my life. I haven't missed one yet." You smiled hopping down the porch steps.
Your phone whistled as you walked out of Nami's apartment.
Sanji: Sorry babe... got called into the restaurant.
You frowned. It was frustrating that his job was so demanding. You had seen each other maybe twice in the last seven days. And one of those days was only for about an hour.
Me: It's all good. Do what you gotta do.
Sanji: You're the best. Love you.
Me: Love you too.
On the bright side you had a good book and pajamas waiting for you at home.
___________
"Smells amazing in here!" You called walking through the front door.
"Thanks F/N!" Thatch replied from the kitchen.
You followed the delicious scent setting your bags on the counter.
"I brought cake!"
"What kind?" Marco appeared behind you.
"Your favorite...since I got you in trouble yesterday." You poked his chest.
"She admits it!" He chuckled.
"Where are tweedledee and tweedledum?" You asked slouching into a chair at the kitchen table.
"Zoro's, they should be back in a couple of hours yoi."
You pulled out your phone scrolling through facebook when a post a mutual friend of you and Sanji liked popped up in your feed. You didn't know the person who posted it but it was a picture of your boyfriend sitting at a table in a restaurant next to a brunette woman you didn't recognize. The caption read, 'who we ran into last night."
Your stomach dropped. That definitely wasn't the restaurant he worked in.
"F/N?" Marco's voice was drowned out by your pounding heart.

Hi Shaz, It’s my birthday today but I need cheering up. Can you hit me up with some of your favourite underrated jikook moments and why 💜💛🐰🐤 (and if people can comment some of theirs too if they have any)
First things first, HBD Anon!!!! 🎉🎉🎈🎈🎉🎊🎊🎂🎂🎂🍾🍾🍷🍷🍹🍺🍺🍸🥂🍸🥂🎂🎈🎈
Tumblr media
Smile today, don't let anyone bring you down. No matter what. 💜💜
Second of all, u guys that keep sending me asks about my ___ Jikook moments, you are killing me! It's torture. To have to choose from what we have is really hard y'all. It's not easy.
But okay, my favourite underrated Jikook moments. Let's get into it. Again, HBD!! 🎈🎈🎈
Number 1 >> Decoration tah!
Tumblr media
For the life of me I cannot explain why I love this moment as much as I do. I just know it puts the biggest smile on my face whenever it comes up in a compilation I'm watching. Idk what it is, I just think this moment is wholesome AF. And when JK reacted to it I DIED!!!! It was everything to me, i was so happy. Of course its underrated, coz they're not really doing anything. Just laughing about and having a good time enjoying each other's company. But I love 2 see it. 😍😍
Number 2>> JK preparing a plate for them and Jimin turning to JK to ask for more soup.
Tumblr media
It's so domestic 😭 Because this is how they are on their normal day to day lives. Like Jin told us; JK is Jimin's chef. And as we already saw, JK always makes sure Jimin is very well fed, always. Even blows the soup for him if it's hot and we have seen him feed Jimin many times. This moment, no one talks about, but I just really like it.
Number 3>> When JK was there for Jimin when he got nervous
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It criminal that this isn't one of the most popular Jikook moments. The way JK was giving Jimin ALL his attention. The way he was nodding along in encouragement. The way he got closer when Jimin made that mistake. The way JK didn't move back into position until he was sure Jimin had gotten back on track. This moment was e👏🏾very👏🏾thing👏🏾 and I wish we talked about it more. JK did so well as Jimin's boyfriend there. He showed up. He really fucking showed up. I respect this man so damn much for always showing up.
I enjoyed Jeonssy's analysis of this moment. You can watch it here if you like.
Number 4>>> Jimin, kneeling, doing that thing with his tongue while looking up at JK 👀
Tumblr media
I think the reason Jikookers don't talk about this moment it's because of how sexually suggestive it is. And you can see the moment Jimin catches himself too. Mans got carried away there for a second. I wasn't around for kitty gang Jimin but I believe it when people say he was wildin'. Like Jimin, please, we know you get down on your knees for the Jungkonda, we did not need a visual. 🙈🙈🙈
I high key love that moment very, very much. 🥵
Number 5>> Jungkook waiting and waiting and waiting for Jimin all because his boyfriend asked him to.
Tumblr media
Aish. Y'all don't get it. JK was among the first people who finished. This is episode 126-127. They're some of my favourite episodes that I rewatch all the time. They were so good. Anyway, Mr. Competitive finished 2nd so he was gonna go be among the first people to go home. And he was excited too! But then Mimi said 2 words: Jungkookah, wait. And that's all she wrote 🤭🤭🤭
Y'all aren't getting it. This was actually huge. I wouldn't do that for my sister and I love that bitch. If I finish a game first, and she kept losing and losing and kept me waiting for an hour I would take off. Shit, I'd take off after 20 minutes. You know who I'd wait for though? My partner 😂 Because that's just how it works. Jimin has the boyfriend privilege. Sure this was him being in charge but also this was JK listening to his man and doing exactly what he said. Now I'm thinking about Bon voyage season 4 when JK stayed by the doorway and didn't move simply because Jimin asked. Who said JK doesn't listen to Jimin again? 🤭
Anyway, JK couldn't wait to leave. We can tell by how happy he was when Jimin won rock paper scissors, and yet, he didn't mind waiting for as long as he did for Jimin who finished last. This moment is massive and I think it should be treated as such. 😔
Number 6>> When JK did this.
He probably just wanted to touch his baby. But also, it looks like he made Jimin stop. And Jimin listened and stood there and they did that adorable dance together. The dance part is not underrated. But the way JK touched Jimin is. And I absolutely love this cute, soft moment.
Number 7>> Speaking of touching. This compilation of Jikook touching on stage for the sake of touching. It's actually really subtle and kudos to the Armys who first noticed this is a thing that they do. Jikook absolutely love the stage. JK was asked when he feels most connected to the members and he said he loves when him and Jimin high five on stage. That's when he feels the most connected. He singled out Jimin even though the question was about all of them. And this thing where they touch like this for no reason whatsoever, proves his statement to be true. I freaking love them!
Number 8>> When JK was asked to rate the members and he finally put Jimin as number one. Everyone always talks about JK putting Jimin last in the past. But I'm not sure this moment gets the hype it deserves. This question was stupid AF to begin with but whatever. What I love about this moment is how JK didn't even bother to rate anyone else. He just said Jimin is the most handsome according to his own personal criteria, and then left it at that. Almost like he only cared that Jimin knew he was number one. He wanted Jimin to know he was done playing games. So rating the rest was irrelevant when he'd already made his point.
I also don't think Jimin was expecting this which is a bit sad, idk. But I'm sure he appreciated not being ranked last. Again. However i don't think that was ever going to happen. By this time JK was done pretending he didn't like Jimin on and off camera. He'd stopped pretending he didn't have feelings for him so I think many of us, much like RM, expected JK to place Jimin first at this particular juncture.
Number 9>> Gaaaaaaah! I love this so freaking much!!!! Okay so Jimin is a blusher. We know this. While when he blushes for JK it can be more intense than for other members, Jimin is a blusher. Its a thing he does. JK on the other hand, not so much. Which is why I love this so fucking much. 😍😍 My other underrated moment is JK blushing for Jimin. I literally never see people talk about this even though JK doesn't blush or get shy for anyone else apart from Jimin. I mean look at this!!!
Tumblr media
I said look at this!!! Are you looking??
Tumblr media
You guys don't listen to me. Did you see?? Especially the black swan one??? Shiet. A bashful JK? Sign me up! JK does not blush for other people. He's not a blusher. Only Jimin can make him that shy. Do y'all get it? This side of JK is reserved for Jimin and Jimin only. He's the only one that affects JK this way. Aaaaah feels. 😭😭😭 FEELS.
It's criminal, absolutely criminal that people overlook shy, blushy JK. I love to see it. I love it so much. I could watch it all day.
Last but not least. Number 10>> This.
I mean, what is wrong with you people? Honestly. By you people I mean antis because... okay first of all, lets watch the video. Not the first part where they sing to eo. That's definitely not an underrated moment. I mean the second part at the concert.
Did you see that?
JK doing that 👆🏽 and Jimin doing this, these 2 moments sit at the same table. They outed themselves here guys. And no one was listening. They are telling us look, its him. Its him. They took risks and said fuck it. And they got away with it. Like they get away with everything else. Smh 😑
They literally outed their relationship guys. We should be freaking out more. That moment at that concert is super underrated. And it requires Eagle eyed army to see it. But damn, JK really did that. Wow.
Just wow.
Anyway anon. That's all I got for now. Happy birthday once again. If Jikook isn't real, then neither I'm I.

I think when I have everything like, worked out, I might post the absolutely insane system I use for campaigns, like.
There is a reason I don't tag these posts dnd. This is held up by the fundamentals of bullshit and how much my brain can cook up and that's it.
Turning to the group of ppl who have played dnd and ppl who have never touched a ttrpg in their life: two of you will suffer greatly. It's the ones with experience.
My system basically priorities story and role play, then puzzles and exploration, then combat. I mostly cut out rests because like boo boring don't care. Combat? Much quicker, I hate numbers and don't want a turn to take 20 minutes. There's type advantages. I built a bloody type system.
I just reuse the same worldbuilding but in different spots. I made a silly Agency that works for literally every scenario and WILL be using them for such, thank you.
But yeah a lot of it is just me making a plotline and npcs, giving players their mission and telling them to make a character on call with me so we can live discuss what works, and based on that call and what type they choose I create their skills and abilities. They are always free to recommend things to me on how they see their character, and I take inspiration from there.
Like upcoming campaign? I gave them their roles beforehand since it's a shorter one and to keep it balanced. As I worked on the story, maps, and assets, they would hop on call and we would talk about their character. I put a human/hybrid (catgirl side of the chart) rule in due to the world they were playing in, and each player has found a way to work with that.
Currently the party is a lesbian swordswoman lizard-hybrid, a mage with a tree arm, an Irish man ready to throw hands, a nonbinary Healer that has an emo aesthetic and a giant hammer for their normal attacks, and a shark hybrid chef that throws pancakes and hot oil like Mr. Game and Watch.
Skills are balanced with cooldown rates instead of mana or whatever because I did not want to deal with that. The cooldown is how many turns you must go for before you get your ability back. You roll a d20 for everything, damage is predetermined so like it's just a crit/miss chance you roll for.
The 2 that have played dnd quite a bit hate this system. The 2 that play rpg games and have never touched a ttrpg think it makes perfect sense. I'm having fun. Everybody is stoked to start. Nobody really knows what to expect except for me, and I think that's beautiful.

I Can’t stop thinking about domesticated Joel with his daughters and tender shit like this. So here you go. Ellie is his foster daughter and calls him both Joel and dad. The girls are both 14. No outbreak
Tumblr media
Tommy and Joel finished up at the work site late that Friday. Surprise surprise. He had called the girls to let them know he probably wouldn't be home for dinner.
"Hello?" Sarah picked up
"Hey baby is Ellie with ya"
"Yeah, you're on speaker" Ellie shouted from the other side of Sarah's bedroom
"I'm sorry girls I know I said we would go out tonight, but it looks like I'm not going to be home until after 8 or 9. Y'all take some of the cash that's in my bedside table drawer and walk down to the pizza place if you want."
Sarah and Ellie tried to hide their disappointment. They knew how hard Joel worked and everything he did to keep them happy, healthy, clothed and fed, but there had been several late nights the last few weeks and they missed their dad. "It okay Joel we know it's not your fault" Ellie said "yeah dad don't sweat it" Sarah added.
"You call if you need anything I'll have my phone on me."
Sarah and Ellie exchanged looks of disappointment and also a mutual sadness they felt for Joel. "That man works his ass off for clients who don't give a shit about him!" Ellie said jumping to her feet from where she had been sitting in Sarah's room. "Yeah... I know." Sarah just stared at the wall. "I have an idea!" Ellie suddenly exclaimed. Sarah was used to these outbursts from Ellie. It was actually one of her favorite things about having Ellie as a sister. "How much money does dad have in that drawer?" Sarah shrugged. "I'm not sure let's go see." Ellie ran down the hall. "But what's your idea?!" said Sarah following her into their dads room. Ellie picked up the two $20 bills from Joel's bedside table. "We make dinner for dad and surprise him when he comes home!" "But won't he be home super late.." Sarah said. "Yeah but you know he always is starving when he gets off. It doesn't matter what time it is. You've seen how that man pulls shit out of the fridge at 10 o'clock after an especially shitty and long day at the site." Sarah nodded. "True. And we never have anything good in the fridge so he's always eating gross take out leftovers." "Exactly! So we make some gourmet shit to surprise him" Sarah grinned. "I like this plan, but we don't know how to cook" after much debate they decided the best idea was to just go to the store and see what their budget would get them. In the end they came home with some little potato's, a bag of frozen pre-cooked chicken breast, and a bagged salad. "Does dad even eat salad?" Ellie asked as the loaded their bags into the crate Joel had installed on the backs of their bikes. "I don't know. I've never seen him eat it, but there's a first time for everything."
Luckily the chicken came with instructions, and Mrs Atler was able to tell the girls how to smash the little potatoes and bake them in the oven and what seasoning to use. The two little chefs were awfully giggly and it took them over an hour to make everything, but they didn't mind. They knew if Joel were home he would tell them to turn down their music, and accuse them of being the silliest girls in the country. At 8 on the dot the girls observed their masterpiece. Sarah had found two tall candles that looked appropriate for a 5 star dinner and Ellie dug through the cabinet over the stove to find a bottle of red wine. "Why do we even have this. Him and Tommy exclusively drink beer like they're a couple of gray jocks" Sarah laughed and said "I have no idea and who knows how old it is." "Do you think wine goes bad?" Ellie asked. "I don't think so...but I don't know how you would tell if it had gone bad" Ellie gave Sarah a look that didn't need any words. "Should we?" Sarah whispered in a giggle. "I mean just a taste to see if it's still good." Ellie said. With great difficulty the two got the cork out of the bottle and brought it gingerly to their lips. "Euggghhhh!" Ellie gagged dramatically. "That's fucking disgusting" Sarah agreed wordlessly, sticking her tongue under the faucet trying to get rid of the taste. Just then they heard the unmistakable sound of Joel's truck pulling into the driveway. They looked at each other with wide, goofy grins. "Should we hide?" Sarah whispered. "And jump out and scare him" Ellie agreed. The girls ducked behind the sofa, trying to stifle their giggles. The key turned in the lock and the familiar sound of Joel's boots on the hardwood followed by "I'm home...Ellie, Sarah?"
"Surprise!" Ellie and Sarah shouted in unison as they jumped up from behind the sofa. "Jesus Christ!" Joel exclaimed clutching his chest. "Are you trying to give your old man a heart attack?" Suddenly his eyes fell to the kitchen table. "Did y'all cook dinner?" He asked somewhat in disbelief. The girls nodded sheepishly. Joel felt a surge of warmth rush into his chest. "You girls didn't have to do this-you know that." He said giving them each a kiss on the head. "We know!" Ellie said cheerfully. "We haven't eaten yet we were waiting for you." Sarah added. Joel looked at his daughter with those warm, brown eyes. "Thank you baby" the three of them sat down and ate. Joel complimented the girls on their cooking. "Damn little ladies, you might need to cook for your old man more often! This is fuckin amazing" Joel said, shoveling food into his mouth. "Hey watch your language at the table" Ellie teased. Joel playfully kicked her under the table. "This is my house, I can swear at my table if I want." Ellie rolled her eyes.
Joel took the dishes to the skink where he found the opened bottle of wine. "What's this?"he chuckled. "Oh we were going to serve you wine but we tasted it and it definitely went bad like 100 years ago." Joel laughed and got a wine glass from the cabinet. "I forgot we had this. It's actually really good." Ellie mimed throwing up which made Sarah laugh. Joel didn't have to turn around to know what was happening. "Ellie you have the pallet of a 6 year old. I'm still buying you lunchables for school- god knows why I do it for ya" "yeah well lunchables are fuckin amazing" Ellie retorted as the girls wandered into the living room. "Language" Joel called from the kitchen. He settled down on the sofa with his girls, red wine in hand. They were already watching "the price is right" which was somewhat of a routine in the Miller household. A way to wind down after a long day. He sat in between his girls with a loud "dad noise" as they called it. Sarah had always been more snuggly then Ellie. Although that was changing Joel had noticed. She had been going to therapy for the last year and he had seen a shift in her in a lot of different ways. She hugged Joel frequently and allowed him to kiss her goodnight. She didn't flinch anymore when he rested a hand on her shoulder to let her know he was behind her or something like that. Some nights when Joel would pass out on the sofa after work Ellie would tiptoe downstairs and come curl up next to him for a little while. She would always fall asleep within a few minutes and he'd carry her to bed and it would be a good excuse for him to actually go to sleep in his bed after putting Ellie in hers. The way his girls took care of him in so many ways, most of which they didn't even realize... it made him feel soft and gooey on the inside and if he thought on it too long his eyes would get misty. Before long he had two sleeping girls on each side of him. He didn't dare move to take them up to bed for fear of waking one. Joel carefully reached for the remote to turn off the TV and then closed his eyes and met himself drift off with the two things he loved most in the world on either side of him.

pjo tv show spoilers!!!
ahhhhh i just finished ep 8 and i have so many thoughts so be ready.
of course across the tv show there are things i love and things i dont necessary agree with but thats lofe and personal opinion so no hate from me here. cause if i too were rick and staftung reading through and adapting something i wrote about what 20 years ago i would change up plot holes and things that i thought would work better too.
i think all the actors were very talented and perfect for there roles.
i love the change of sally teaching percy mythology from a young age thats something i always thought that should of happened to begin with.
i didnt like the characterisation of gabe when watching the show if i hadnt read the books he was almost likeable i thought he was mildly funny i feel like they didnt make him cruel enough to justify the whole medusa thing.
loved the interactions between percy and grover before camp the lighting of percy in school without grover (blue toned) and percy in school with grover (warm toned) really showed how good of a friend he was. grover was so sweet and funny and had great lines cant wait to see him in a wedding dress.
loved percys interaction with mr d i thought it was totally in character and really was quite funny, mr d is just dying for that bottle of wine.
i didnt love the fact that everyone kinda avoided the topic that the gods igbored there children and arw pretty shitty for the majority of the tv show percy kept asking questions like the gods were like the average parent of anyone and no one thought to tell him 'hey percy the gods dont actually talk to their kids so thats why everyone gives you looks when you talk about there parents'.
thalia being pronounced the way it is threw me off but i knlw thats the actuall greek way of saying it so it dosent bother me (i will continue to pronounce it the way i do though)
i thought it was interesting that they had annabeth see the fates and not percy i don't have many comments on this just that it was interesting.
i loved the way they handled medusa and her story but still managed to make her a monster for percy to fight l, its a delicate line that i think they managed perfectly.
the arch i loved the way percy swapped places with annabeth great cinematic moment, i thought it was weird that they didnt have percy jump in trust of his dad xonsidering the way they have changed percys attitude towards gods as parents at the time during the show, but i thought the hand of posiedon saving him was great aswell.
also the arch being a temple of athena was a cool edition i thought they played athenas pettyness pretty good. i did like that annabeth wanted to go becuse architecture but i dont mind the change.
tunnel of love chefs kiss not more to be said really, other than hephaestus he gets it i always liked him as a god.
the way they had grover talk to ares and manipulate him into taking while also reading his emotions so cool i loved the edition so much and it really gave us an in look into both grover and ares as people.
the animal truck was nice i loved the percy and grover interactions about the animals thought it was funny. missed percy not talking to a zebra.
lotus hotel very cool loved the music choice, loved the design, cool that they know its the lotus eaters before they go in. loved the chat with hermes and grover meeting a satyr and playing his hunt the human game. the lost memorys gives a proper view into ehy people would stay there and not leave. also love the little 'bianca' and the two kids who ran past in purple shirts (romans??).
stealing hermes taxi to go to santa monica awesome, i questioned the choice of 4 pearls tp begin with cause i thought 'this will make the prophecy obsolete' but having watched it all now so good loved the choice cause of course posidon would never abandon his queen amongst mortals
the choic of them running out of time on there quest i dont understand was it necessary i dont think them having a day left still would have changed anything that still happened after show wise maybe a few conversations tweeked. (if anyone knows why let me know im curious)
crustys this was the only monster wich i didnt like the way they delt with, i think they had to do it this was as alot of this was percys thoughts in the book which they havent really been transfering to screen that well. i feel like we lost some of percts brutal fatal flaw here with him not killing him and his smarts of him convincing him to get in the bed and trap himself, thats percys thing see if annabeth has plan, persuasion, then fight.
also the underworld not being in DOA :( that was a cool idea so fun and its a pun but maybe for time issues they just resorted to crusty doesnt bother me that much but ill miss it.
percy not bartering with charon again taking away percys skill at persuasion. but not a big deal in long run (missed the drown in bath joke though)
the feilds of asphodel i thought jt was an interesting take, its described in the books as a really busy airports or station of some kind just loads of people standing everywhere. i tought ut was interesting that the souls became trees (does that mean hazel isnt a tree but just wanders amougst the trees?) the fact rhat they made it regrets aste what stick you in asphodel and turn you into a tree i didnt agree with asphodel is the place you go when your life is juat average not bad or evil and not heroic or extremely good, cause u telling me that any hero that goes to elysium dosent have regrets? also annabeth being the one with regrets weird take it should have been grover who regrets alot (thalia for example) but i get they did that cause like the books they were setting it up to look like annabeth was the traitor.
loved the inclusion story about luke hermes and may.
i loved the characterisation of hades i though he was quite accurate to how hades acts in the actual mythology and you can totally see where nico gets it from. just loved the whole interaction.
loved rhw choice of the pearls going back to manutak rather than santa monica.
the fight with ares loved kt was squeeling the entire time, ares beeing cocky and toying with percy, percy showing beast controll of the sea and finally the cut on ares ankle. but what aboutbthe curse! the curse ares puts on percys sword that bexomes relevent not onece but twice. that surely will mess up the fufillment if the prophecy for a possibel 3rd season as thats the whole reason he dosent fight atlas and takes the sky from artemis. so ill have to wait and see how they do that.
annabeth giving percy her beads 😊
calling children of the big three forbidden children its a nice edition that i like (kinda remids me of the fanfic son of seafoam)
the interaction with zeus pretty good liked it the way that zeus appears to be taking kronos somewhat seriously though, well we will se if that lasts.
posiedon stepping in and saving percy and then surrendering-- - my heart cant
pecry going back to camp and being celebrated great as he should. also live the percy luke flashbacks.
now my favourite way the show has changed the percy luke betrayal! i love the way thia changed i always thought that luke should have tried to recruit percy as he does in later books but percy dosent entertain as luke tried to kill him twice but i love that luke was all like percy we could run away and fight the gods. and thevlook on his face when annabeth throws a knife at him and the way percy sliced luke and immediately apologised because although hes angry he dosent acctually want to hurt him. and you can tell why people like luke and join him. obvs the way they have made the gods more likeable from the start means if you havent resd tbe books you probably dont understand lukes motivations as much but jes known the gods are shitty parents for much longer than percy as hed older and percy will get there one day but we all know how that ends up TLO.
percy annabeth and grover all making a promise to meet back at thalia next year so cute
percys dream about kronos really good gives information that made me jump with excitment as a book fan. sally coming to percy with a notebook to note down his dreams is telling in thats not the first time since camp that its happend. also is it his birthday i got the vibe its his birthday. percy telling his mum that kronos told him to tell her shes a good mum made me snort but its sweet that percy is trying to protect her.
over all i have many thoughts and opinions this isnt all of them and if anyone wants specific thoughts on certain things let me know.
i cant wait till s2 they just have to have a season 2!!!!!
sorry for the long post

Helluva Boss fanfic: (Blitz x bi reader) (this is a joke) (TW: murder, cannibalism, discussions of consuming and digesting an equine species, Mr. Beast)
After your favorite VoxTube channel, Mr. Mark of the Beast, paid for you to get surgery to fix your blindness, there were three things you were looking forward to seeing the most: Tits, dick, and ass. And if everything went according to plan, you’d be able to cross two of those off your list by the time the hour was up. Assuming your date actually showed.
Fortunately or not, he did. At that point, you’d already managed to pickpocket from 3 people, which had landed you 20 demon dollars (50 if you count Monopoly money), a stick of gum, and some family photos you only felt 5% bad about taking. When he sat down, you noticed him eying the stolen goods, so you swiftly slid them towards you, hissing for good measure.
“So, you’re paying?” he asked.
“Not for you, cheapskate,” you replied, smiling slyly. If there’s anything you learnt from your grandma, who recently got run over by a semi-truck full of clown wigs, it’s that nothing gets a date going like some good ol’ fashioned name calling.
“That’s rich coming from a skank who shoves Olive Garden breadsticks up their ass because they can’t afford dildos!”
“At least I have an ass.”
Just as Blitz was about to take a swing at you, your stomach growled. Since Gran Gran’s strat didn’t seem to be working, you decided to use this as an opportunity to defuse the tension.
“Damn I’m hungry. I could probably eat a horse, no 🧢 .”
Blitz looked at you like he’d just seen a sign advertising 50% off at his favorite antique store, only to arrive and find out that the place had been closed for 20 years.
“Oh, you did NOT just say that!!!” His fury filled the air like a potent fart. Before you could do anything else, he leaped off his barstool and stormed out. If you hadn’t already gotten your daily steps in, you might’ve followed him. Oh well.
Since Blitz was off the table, you decided to try your luck with the bartender, and, shockingly, she reciprocated. Tits and ass was still a good deal and, for all you knew, she had a dick too. But, before you could get to that steamy hot bathroom sex, a bullet made love to your skull and you cha-cha slid your breadstick filled ass down to Double Hell. Anyone who was actually listening would’ve heard someone screaming “that’s for the horses, you shit-stained cockfucker!” but this is Hell, so no one cared.
The one exception was the chef, who was relieved that they had some more meat to add to the burgers.
