this doctor who episode is really sweet and has most of an intelligent plot and is also just a tad crap with some awful lines. oh we are back baby

Smosh cast folks are also very funny- a good #proportion of them at this point are also prifessional comedians. There are other Try Not To Laugh videos. a LOT of them. they can be #hit or miss but a lot of them are quite good (blind pairs or the musical episodes are all pretty good)#Smosh has multiple channels- this one is called Smosh Pit ajd also has other stuff they do. i genuinely think the people who insist the life series is scripted just don’t understand the difference between something scripted and something that’s been given a basic premise and directives that everyone involved in agrees to play along with for the bit. like, no, specific moments aren’t scripted, but there’s a reason the series isn’t just “best pvper wins” and it’s because they deliberately prioritise entertainment over pure skill because the same person winning every time just wouldn’t be fun.

like, for the most part they’re a bunch of drama kids who have been given the perfect playground to act out the shakespearian tragedy of their dreams (some more so than others) (hello rendog) and they’re given the tools and situation to do so but everything else is just improv. and they’re also just having fun like i think we should all remember they’re doing this to have fun with their friends and play on a server where anything goes and they can grief all they want and sometimes they’ll just make stupid mistakes like walking off the side of a diving board and dying because they were so miffed about losing to a best tower competition they forgot where the stairs were, or blowing themselves up with their own tnt trap because they placed one block in the wrong place.

also i think people forget just how generally predictable people are in general, like after five seasons you can definitely start to guess how people will behave because they’re just like that. joel is reckless and he likes to poke the bear, martyn is good at staying alive but not good at keeping hearts (the difference between winning limlife and going out early in secret life), scott is good at the social game and a formidable opponent but also terribly self sacrificial, bdubs will betray anyone he’s allied with if offered something good, etc etc etc

the kind of chemistry these two have is very entertaining

#again. relistening to the black sea arc and these two were so fun from the very beginning. i love their conversations and bickering hehehe #that's the problem i have with watching something in ongoing. i forget literally everything that happens in the previous episode #i need to take notes or something i don't know....#because chip and igneous had a lot of fun moments that i totally forgot about and i was so confused when chip proposed to him #bc to me it felt 'out of nowhere'. they still do only know each other for 2 days so that point stands. but they're not complete strangers #jrwi riptide #jrwi chip #jrwi igneous #jrwi flint and steel #my art #sketch #also igneous is👏big👏#grizzly said he was around 6ft and in my mind it immediately translates to 'a lot bigger than 6ft'

Not a big deal to me. I like it, I see all the appeals, I just personally like Rarijack more.

#ask me #anon #if you wanna know why i like rarijack more i just think they're a healthier depiction of a domestic and longterm relationship #appledash gives me the vibes of gfs that'll eventually break up #because from s1 to s8 their relationship and communication with each other on serious things never really matures or grows #they were competitive and petty in s1 and they were competitive and petty in s8 #arguably worse cuz in that s8 episode their dynamic becomes so toxic they almost cause a student under their care to drown #both of them have a superiority complex that's constantly conflicting with each other and it never really gets resolved #but with rarijack there's a very clear arc of development you can follow in their character #and multiple episodes show how they'll argue and eventually come back together and apologize and communicate and work to better things #you can watch them grow to like and understand each other. in s1 aj scoffs and makes fun of rarity's work in fashion #but in a later season (after some conflict) aj says that she doesn't understand fashion but she knows it means a lot to rarity so it means #a lot to her too. and that's what love is to me. “it didn't mean anything to me until it meant something to you”#it's genuinely really sweet and i'd argue rarijack /feels/ the most romantic out of all the main 6 ships. through arguing they grow closer #which is how it's supposed to be in relationships that last! you argue to work out your interpersonal problems and understand each other #(which is why it's genuinely kinda baffling to me that appledash ended up being canonically married because they never gave me those vibes)#but it really doesn't matter. they're cartoon horses! have fun with them

one of my favorite things about zedaph is that on a server full of people that find strange and oft-overlooked minecraft mechanics or rare events and then see just how far they can push them in the name of spectacle or efficiency or world-breaking, zed is over here finding these mechanics in order to do the weirdest things he can think of in as entertaining a manner as possible

like i 100% have faith in zedaph's theoretical ability to be just as efficient or spectacular or world-breaking. if he wanted to do that stuff, i trust that he absolutely could. but thats so far from being his priority. instead, hes going to spend around a week of irl time focused entirely on eventually having the good luck to spawn in something insanely rare so that he can convert it into something even rarer, the result of which being something that 99% of the server reacts with complete and utter shock that it even exists in the first place, just because its zany and funny and he wanted to. and i love that
