Prince Red AU: Disciple Route

going with "Disciple Route" as the name for this au idea at least until I or someone else thinks up a better alternative. as the title implies this is a bad route for @purble-turble's Prince Red Au, though not exactly a DKR route. I personally feel like Prince Red isn't insane enough delusional in the same way as DKR. I also don't think he is really acting as a Yandere, but that is highly debatable and anyone is free to disagree with me on that point. strongly suggest looking into Purble-Turble's AU for more background context on the Prince Red AU and how we got here. ***** to summarize the core idea of the plot: Prince Red decided to take in Mk as a disciple believing that he could "fix" his self-destructive nature using the same teachings and methods used on him as a child. this includes the five gold bands that were used to restrain and subdue red in his early years. his friends and fellow disciples are brought in on the plan as educators as well. however Red still overlooks their clear bias and dislike of the monkey kid, which leads to a lot of mistreatment that worsens over time. there are two ways currently discussed how this route could kick off, but the one I like best is where Prince Red successfully wins back Mk from Nezha. only to then quickly realize that it was a bad idea on his part. the whole reason he called things off with mk is because of the events of S5 and Mk's mindset. which is still the same if not worse now because Nezha encouraged his self-sacrificing tendencies (due to the lotus prince also suffering strongly from this unhealthy mindset). Red has effectively put himself into a troubling situation, as mk's breakup with Nezha had a huge emotional toll on both. Nezha was understandably heartbroken and has disappeared for the time being and Mk naturally was already carrying a lot of guilt. doesn't help that his friends and family expressed disappointment in how he handled things. the boy is in a very bad state of mind again so Red has to be careful how he handles things going forward. but things can't stay as they are, and they can't go back to how they were, not yet, not until mk fixes himself....or maybe he could fix mk? ***** THERE'S GONNA BE MORE TO THIS I'm working on more details, I'm just starting with this basic summary because I'm super anxious about doing this and overthinking a lot of my writing and formatting. which has me procrastinating on it like a mfer. so if I don't post this much I'm probably gonna overthink myself into just not doing it at all. Anxiety is such fun.

Somehow his s/o managed to trigger his trauma accidentally, as if they said something that turned the domestic atmosphere back into the black and eerie ambience of Arkham or maybe an action of his s/o resembled a lot like the Joker's, Harley's or the rogues who beat him up.

How would AK!Jason react?

Jay unfortunately has a lot of triggers, so this happens more often than his s/o would like 😞 He'll try to flee before his panic overwhelms him—he despises when others see his "weakness", especially his s/o. But sometimes the trauma response is too strong, and he'll crumble to the floor right then and there, shaking like a leaf, clutching at his chest, gasping for breath on the verge of hyperventilating, unbidden tears clinging to his thick black lashes.

His s/o has learned what to do in this situation. You'll kneel down beside him, speaking softly to him, words of reassurance: "This will pass... they always pass, remember?... you're safe here... I'm with you... I'm not going anywhere... deep breaths, in... and out... again... can you tell me five things you can touch?... good, that's good baby... now, four things you can hear... three things you can smell... two things you can taste... you're doing so good baby... the darkness is receding, you'll see the light again soon, I swear... can you open your eyes for me?... see, I'm here with you, no one will ever hurt you again..."

All the while you'll take his scarred fist in your own hands and massage his gnarled knuckles until his fingers unfurl, then you'll press his calloused palm against your heart, grounding him with your calm heartbeat, with the steady rise and fall of your chest as you breathe softly, until finally he accepts the warmth of your embrace, tucking his head beneath your chin as his breathing slows, so you can drop tender kisses into his mop of unruly black hair while he clings to you, in the reassuring safety of your embrace 💙

I just unwrapped some lasagne to have for breakfast!! I love my new deep pan because it allowed me to make a 9 layer lasagne!! It was huge and delicious 😋 I filled it with seasoned hamburger and sausages and homemade ricotta cheese. I made a delightful marinara sauce. I also used freshly grated parmesan reggiano, pecorino romano, mozzarella, and caciocavallo cheeses. There were mushrooms, onions, green peppers, basil, oregano, bay leaves, salt, pepper, parmesan reggiano rinds, and freshly minced garlic in the sauce. I better go heat this up because I'm making myself very hungry. I love lasagne for every meal!! ❤️ as my friend's Italian grandma used to say to me as a kid, mangia, you're too skinny. I'm not as skinny as I was then, but I've eaten a lot of lasagne since then so.... 😁🤣😋😍

there’s only fuck knows how long until the countdown to midnight begins, and miller’s spiralling. his attention should be elsewhere (definitely not upon the brunette who’s been across the room from him, all night long), but it just isn’t. eden has been unusually close to his side throughout the evening, as if she doesn’t trust it to let him out of her sight for too long at a time, and it’s safe to say he’s feeling suffocated— not only with the overwhelming feeling of being watched, like one wrong move could change the entire trajectory of the evening, but also with the crushing pressure of what a new year brings, of what he has to leave behind in the year the pasts, specifically what occurred between him and devon, only a few weeks prior to tonight. and perhaps that’s why his gaze travels over to her a little more than usual, his eyes finding her own whenever possible, glossing over the surface of her skin his hands and mouth had only just explored again, reacquainted with the feel of her, of the two of them together, as one. it would explain the hot pang of jealously in his gut, burning like an ember, igniting a flame that licks at his skin, whenever fletcher is close in her vicinity, his hands in the places he yearns for his own to be, his mouth at the spots he wishes he could taste, once more. and it’s hypocrisy at its finest, sure, but those lines have always been blurred between them, and it’s only grown the more they’ve interweaved into each others lives again, opening himself up for more confusion and heartbreak. yet, when a window of opportunity presents itself, eden mentioning something in his ear about getting another drink, or doing a line in the bathroom (he’ll allow himself to feel horrible that he’s been barely listening later), like a moth to the flame, he finds himself venturing over to her, relieved when he finds her alone, too. “ hey, ” he aims for it to come casually, but the syllable is strained, like he’s been holding it in all night. “ i would’ve said something earlier, but you’ve been… occupied, ” a beat passes, glass pressed to the curve of his mouth. “ you and fletcher seem good. ” already launched, he feels the now warm liquid slide down his throat— good, he says, trying to put the puzzle pieces into place; good, he says, as if he hadn’t been inside her only a few weeks ago. / @bluestsdays
