Theo's been dealing with some things lately, but he just can't think of any solution to any of his problems. He feels bad for it, for not being able to help, no matter how much he tries. Now that he's seen the state Argo was in when he left him in that cell, he feels... horrible as ever.

He had to shadow travel away, he couldn't stay with his brother any further. It was clear Argo didn't want him there, and he would respect his brother's wishes... most of the time. Once he made sure Argo was back in control and relatively safe — or at least knew he'd claim to be safe — he left.

Though, something happened when he was in that cell. The Death Mist surrounded him at one point, and refused to leave him since. He did manage to briefly rid his hands from it, but it was only temporary and he's not sure he can bounce back from this as easily as he though he could back when it all started. It's cold. Really, really cold.

You find him in the forest again, standing in the shadow of a tree. Though, it's... not really him. It's more so a cloud of mist, or at least it looks to be that. A cloud of mist in a vaguely humanoid shape, with... some unnatural coloration to it. Almost like human skin. What could convince some that it really is Theo are the greenish-red blobs visible on the cloud's form. Around where a human chest would be, and the most of them are around where the heart would be.

OPEN STARTER: ALL ALONE?

[It's the holiday season, the time people should spend especially close to their loved ones, time to be jolly and surrounded with kindness and love. That isn't the case for Theo. He had lit a small fire from old newspapers in an alleyway and placed a miserable looking tree consisting of a couple branches with dried up leaves stuck to them next to it. He looks like he's just been through hell, with fresh wounds on his arms and face and new bruises on his left cheek and under his right eye, the sword Karla gave him laying beside him, covered in monster dust. There seems to be something in his hand, it looks like a blanket, a very old one with holes and rips and dried up vomit on it.]

Happy Holidays, I fuckin' guess...

[He mutters as he wraps himself in the blanket and stares at the flames as the dried up leaves of his pitiful attempt at a tree catch fire and his creation starts burning, he doesn't seem to care about that though. He just stares blankly.]

got 178 pages into the pairing and realized i’ve been picturing theo and kit in the wrong bodies the whole time…like i thought theo had the dark brown hair and kit had the orange blonde hair…the whole fucking time..for 178 pages..

Tbh I think he could feel "guilty" of his past actions after the whole hell thing, the torture he's been in during this time by the hand of his (dead) sister, we see he's a changed person in s6, also cause he got the ptsd of hell/nightmares, no home/place to stay, no doctors that were taking care of everything such as having a house for him and his "fake parents" in s5. I've seen it sometimes in fanfic but that would make a bit of sense if he could start to feel any guilt cause we can also presume he killed much people before, including his sister and even perhaps his parents later on since the show never said what happened to them after the Tara "incident", we can just imagine that his body count is more than Tara, Josh and Stacy. And I always thought that his inability of having blue eyes for killers of innocent people had to do with him being a chimera, they were created by science and are not natural in the supernatural way speaking (which is kind of ironic) which could means that the supernatural rules don't include to them just like mountain ash and wolfspane don't affect them (wolfspane not being deadly for them as much as were-people) so the Yellow - Blue eyes could also not rule on them after all, it could also work with the guilt tho I doubt Peter (having blue eyes) would feel a lot of guilt of killing people and still has blue cold eyes (don't get me wrong, I love Peter too)

Anyway that was just blabbering me cause I have been meaning to talk about this for a while now and chimera has always fascinated me cause the Dread Doctors managed to create Corey, with the gift of invisibility, without any creatures having this (even a chameleon are not that precise, a jellyfish is more) and also with a higher healing processus, which leaves so much possibility of creatures created, if only they could make live chimeras as long as Theo without killing them 🫡

Also something I have not seen in fanfics (yet) is Theo chimera state getting worse after coming out of hell, remember the other chimeras not having survived very long after being "turned", ending up with mercury leaking out of their orifice, they all died (also by the hand of the Dread Doctors) until Theo brought some of them back with Mr Douglas stuff (Douglas being now gone), it would be interesting to see Theo having his state getting worse to the point of him having mercury also leaking out of his body, him panicking cause he believed to be a successful subject/chimera all along (he survived about 8 years or smth like that since he was 9 when he was "turned") and not able to do anything cause he can't inject himself what he injected to the others since mr Douglas was now gone and the serum too

Summary: Theo's never taken anyone's pain before this, and it has consequences for his own post-battle wounds, a fact he keeps to himself when he decides it's what he deserves.

“Why are you not healing?” Theo shrugs, regretting the gesture instantly when he winces.  “I’ve never taken someone’s pain before, and no one’s taken mine.” Liam’s thumb taps on his elbow, smile curving his lips and lighting his bright blue eyes.  “And now you’ve done both.”  He sits next to Theo on the bed, still holding his arm.  “You can tell me things.  That’s what friends do.” His brows furrow.  “We’re… friends?” “I’d like to be.” Theo leans forward, head falling to the crook of Liam’s neck.  The beta’s other hand braces against his neck softly, rubbing circles into the skin there.  “I don’t deserve friends.  Or anything else.  Especially you.”
