Hey, could I have more HIWTHI content please? Possibly with them finding out reader would write in their journal a lot, possibly hinting towards reader having large amounts of self worth issues, and instead of them leaving because no one notices them, reader left because they feel like a burden?
I’m particularly interested in Marcus and the twins reacting.
Also, please make sure to take care of yourself. I love all of your writing, but no one will ever blame you for taking a break. Also, please stay hydrated.
-🌙
👀 close to something that would happen canonically actually!!
HIWTHI cast's reaction to reader's journal
(Trigger warnings: reader's struggles with self worth, mentioned/referenced suicide)
Tumblr media
Marcus feels like a complete and utter failure as a father. No matter how cold or stern he is with his children, he does love all of them with everything in him. So the fact that you feel like a burden? That you felt like a waste of space in your own home? He hangs his head in shame.
Doesn't even bother with asking why you didn't speak up, he's well aware that this is his own shortcoming. It's his fault, that's the simple truth of the matter.
Once you are back home, you're required to start therapy. He'll even let you do in person instead of online if you promise to actually give it a shot, Marcus legitimately wants (needs) you to get better. He has no delusions of their being an overnight change, and so he tries to go at your pace.
There's lots of long conversations, firm reminders that you are loved and of value no matter what. Especially at night, he'll sit at the end of your bed and tell you how much you mean to him. He'd go on until he's blue in the face if that's what it takes for you to believe his words.
Clara refuses to believe what she's read for a long while. She knows it's real, she has the proof held in her hands. Just... her child, her baby, was struggling with almost the same thing she was. And she didn't know. She didn't know and now they're gone.
If she wasn't worried about reader before, she's actually terrified now. The worst outcome is going through her mind, because really, what was stopping you from doing something dangerous? Clara is constantly eyeing the news, fear eating her alive.
The next time she sees you, you're getting the tightest hug. The woman sobbing into your shoulder, thanking whatever higher being that her baby is safe.
You aren't allowed to have sharp objects, unportioned medication, or anything that could be used to harm one's self anymore. Clara doesn't care, she's not leaving a chance. She knows what it's like being in that state of mind. She'll be dammed if she doesn't start acting like a mother should and protecting her child.
Jack is bawling his eyes out right away. The pen ink in your diary smudging as his tears hit the paper. You...oh god..
He feels like the shitiest person on earth, he doesn't deserve to call himself an older brother. He knew Jaiden had his struggles, and now this..
He pockets the journal. Jack reads it as some form of punishment. You suffered with this, he'll suffer with it too. When you're back home, he's trying his best to include you in everything.
Movie nights, board games, he comes up with anything and everything so you can spend time together. See? He has fun with you, he likes hanging out with you, you aren't a burden..
Theo feels bitter, resentful. At your parents, at themselves, at the fact that you felt that way. His resolve to find you becomes ten times stronger, there isn't a single doubt in their mind that you need to come home.
Much like Marcus, they'll affirm how much you're loved and wanted any chance they get. Theo cages you in their arms and mumbles praises for what feels like forever. They'll even go into morbid detail about how everyone fell apart while you were gone just to prove how needed you are.
Jaiden is tempted to rip the pages out. He goes through a rollercoaster of emotions.
At first, he's pissed. That you didn't say anything, that you didn't do anything to get help, that you just sat there and felt fucking miserable for years-
He's ashamed. Deeply, deeply ashamed.
Tumblr media
It feels.. awkward between you. Jaiden stares constantly, like he's never seen you before. When he finally breaks down sobbing, he's willing to beg at your feet if you'd forgive him for being such a horrible big brother

Theo sits across from Nosy in their little hidey hole, trying to concentrate. Spread on the floor between them, there are a handful of rose petals she was attempting to transfigure. She puts one playfully on Nosy’s head.
“A crown for the little king!”
After her success with Montrose's hair, Theo had been feeling a little confident about her transfiguration skills. Why not try and learn a new spell? Nosy had seemed all for it, or maybe he was just excited to be in here with her for the belly rubs. Of which Theo gave him many.
“Okay. I think I’ve almost got it….let’s give this a go.” She says as she finishes giving the distinguished gentleman even more belly rubs.
She turns her wrist, muttering the incantation over the rose petals. All of a sudden, they transform into butterflies. The butterflies come to life, turning in chaotic circles and fluttering upwards. They surround Nosy, as if to dare him to try and catch them!
Before they know it, the small handful of butterflies start to pop into more butterflies. And more butterflies. And then ….into a worrisome amount of even more butterflies.
Theo grabs Nosy protectively before the butterflies swarm, starting to flood out of their hidey hole into the castle beyond.  She looks at Nosy in her arms, eyes wide. “It’s…..probably fine…. right?”
Tumblr media
Nosy was enjoying his time with Theo, his little body wiggling with delight from the continuous belly rubs and pampering. He was in his element, basking in the attention and affection. Theo's hands were gentle and familiar, making him feel completely at ease. Every rub made his eyes flutter with contentment, but Nosy was determined not to fall asleep! No! The Niffler put up a good fight against the sleepy feeling this time. The Teal King had to stay alert, after all!
When the pretty redhead placed a petal on his head and declared it a crown, Nosy chirped happily. A crown? Why, of course! No further questions needed. He sat up a bit straighter, feeling rather regal with the petal perched on his head. He glanced around, as if to make sure everyone else could see how royal he looked. Nosy looked immensely proud of himself, his tiny chest puffed out in a display of confidence, like the pretty Prefect taught him.
Theo, meanwhile, was focused on her task. The witch swung her magic stick with a flourish while muttering the incantation over the petals spread out in front of them. Nosy watched her with wide, curious eyes, his attention completely captivated by her movements. And her glowing magic stick.
As the petals began to shimmer and transform into butterflies, the Niffler’s eyes grew even bigger. He was mesmerised by the sight, watching in awe as the delicate butterflies fluttered into existence. Without thinking, Nosy started to jump up and down, trying to catch some of them with his little paws. Each leap was filled with pure, unrestrained joy (and determination).
But what had started as a handful of butterflies was quickly becoming an overwhelming swarm. Acting quickly, the Hufflepuff scooped Nosy up into her arms. The little menace looked at her, confused by the sudden interruption. Playtime over already? He tilted his head and let out a questioning chirp, his eyes full of curiosity.
As Nosy turned his head and noticed the ever-growing army of butterflies, he let out two small squeaks that sounded quite like an uh-oh.
"It’s… probably fine, right?" Theo asked, her voice wavering slightly as she tried to reassure herself. Nosy turned his head back to her at the sound of her voice. The Niffler leaned forward as far as he could and patted the tip of the witch's nose with his little paw, followed by a smug little squeak.

Werewolf RJ eating plants while he watches the entire team scarf down meat like an animal pack lives aren’t free in my 'mind.
Another idea is the aspect of animal spirit properties leaking out into individuals, Lily’s calves and legs being heightened with speed, Theo being able to pounce higher and latch onto building sides easily, Casey having sharper claws and keen eyes, Dominic with mini diamond skin cause of the rhino powers, Jarrod hitting harder cause of his lion, and Camille having light pigmented hair that can change via the spectrum color of said area she’s around with the light.
Have other Jungle Fury animal spirit headcanons I can send as well but just a few here👌🏾
LMAO I LOVE THAT. Werewolf RJ side eying al of them sdfghj
I LOVE THOSE SIDE EFFECTS!!!! Rangers should be affected if they get powers like that.
The main trio are just kitties yknow....... with enhanced speed.... and agility... and deadly claws.....
Just kitties.
Dom having diamond skin is so cool holy shit
JARROD AND CAMILLE ‼‼‼ Hitting harder makes so much sense for him, and her hair thing would be so cool

OK SO LAST BUST NOT LEAST (and plz be nice this was 1st time trying something like this.) PART 2 (technically 3) OF @thiamsxbitch birthday present.
Featuring a Tallica one-shot based in the IWDIAOOY universe and based on events I have planned (set during late S4 early S5 era AA) and because I couldn't resist abit of soft Thiam.

Allison walked into the bar, music blaring around her as she enters. Pushing her way through the crowd looking for someone, anyone she could recognise.
Erica had invited her to join her and her friends for the night telling her it was karaoke night  while the blondes girlfriend had promptly straight up ordered Allison to come. Using a very soft yet seductive tone on the raven haired girl that Allison quite literally couldn’t say no even if she wanted to.
She felt conflicted in herself, she shouldn’t want a girl that’s taken. Let alone both girls in said relationship, but she did. Tara and Erica had made her feel so welcome in the months she has known the two of them that she couldn't help but fall for them.
Their fiery nature and way they were just pulling her further in. Intoxicating her in them.
She looks through the crowd once again trying to catch sight of the two girls she had found herself infatuated with.
Ah ha! Finally she spots someone she recognises moving towards the boy. If she remembers right, this was Tara’s brother Theo. “Hey, Theo right.” She calls out as she gets closer pulling both Theo’s and the boy wearing a crop top attention to her..
Theo’s green eyes land on hers. Yep definitely a trait of their family, as she feels like she is staring onto Tara’s eyes now. “Allison right! Tara told me you was coming tonight.” Allison moves closer to lean against to bar next to the two boys. Crop top boy is eyeing her strangely, an unknown look in his eyes.
“Is this your boyfriend?” She asks, turning towards Theo. Said boy instantly chokes on his drink while crop top boy cackles at her screeching. “I like her T!” While Theo is trying to recover, his eyes watering as he regains his breath.
Allison stares at them both, worried she had offended them or potentially just killed Tara’s brother. “God no.” Theo’s face morphs into a cringe as he seems to think about it. Shivering in horror at teh thought. “This is Josh. My asshole of a best friend and—”
Theo’s attentions is pulled towards something in the crowd, rolling his eyes while Josh whistles. “Oh for fucks sake. One night, one fucking night.” He turns back to Allison pointing towards whatever he seen. “They are your problem for the night.” He declares.
Allison turns towards whatever the boy was point at and- oh, oh. Right there in the middle of a small crowd was the two girls she was looking forward to and dreading to see.
Tara and Erica were pressed up against each other dancing away while Erica sung into the microphone she was holding. Oh damn she could sing too. Allison watches the two, hypnotised by their movements against one another. Tara grinding against Erica’s back while the blonde lowers herself, sliding down Tara’s body.
Both girls running their hands over eachother. Taras hands rubbing just under Erica's top. Allison couldn't look away from them even if she wanted to.
She was so fucked.
Almost like the two could sense her watching, they both turn catching Allison’ gaze. Allison instantly flushes red, but doesn’t avert her eyes. Her mind screaming for her to run, flee, to move. Anything but it was already too late. The two girls were already making their way over. .
“Ally!” Tara shouts as they get closer flinging her self at the Allison and wrapping her tight in a hug. Allison could smell her perfume at the close proximity and could definitely see the red lipstick marks painting her neck.
She has to hold back a whine as another set of arms wrap around her back, breath tickling along the edge of her ear. “Mmmm you look hot as hell Ally.” Erica whispers sending a shiver down her spine. She can feel Tara nodding in agreement, lifting her head a little.
Her eyes have darkened as she looks at Allison and bites her bottom lip. Allison feels her breath catch in her throat at the way Tara is looking at her, wait no she just had to be imagining that right. Right?
“You gonna join us for a song Ally?” Tara asks, never loosing the look in her eyes while her voice takes on that tone again. Allison was captivated by her, by them both. She wanted- no she needed them to do something before she burst.
Lips graze her neck. She actually whimpers from just the simple graze of Erica’s lips. Tara just watches her, seemingly fascinated by her reactions as her eyes turn dark again. “She asked you a question Ally.” Erica reminds her, yet not helping Allison’s mind to focus at all as she felt Erica’s lips moving against her skin.
Finally she remembers what she was asked. But she needed to know what was going on first.
“What are you doing here?” She manages to get out holding back another whimper, or maybe a moan this times as Erica fucking licks along her neck.
Both girls instantly freeze. Stopping whatever they were doing. “We... we want you Ally.” Erica is still stood behind her as she speaks. Allison’s just feels confused. This was too good to be true. Right?
Tara must see the look in her eyes, shaking Allison with her hands. “We do Allison. We’ve wanted to be with you for awhile “ Allison’s eyes widen at the confession.
“Why?” She mumbles eyes darting over Tara’s face for any sign this could be a lie or some kind of trick. “No lie Ally. Your really hot and cute and funny and we don’t know why. We just want you, with us.” Erica whispers softly returning to her place behind her.
They just said that. Is this really happening. Was she dreaming?
“I think she needs something to show her how much we want her baby.” Tara remarks, a smirk on her face as she eyes Allison’s flushed face.
Tara pulls Allison up so she is standing properly while Erica seemingly moves away from them, going somewhere. Allison tries to turn to see where Erica had gone but well she can’t. She can’t even thing suddenly.
Tara had cupped her cheeks dragging her in for a kiss. She can immediately taste the cherry lip balm on Tara’s lips. She moans when Tara’s tongue runs along the seam of her lips, parting them to let her in. Allison gets lost in the feeling of the kiss, hypnotised by it. She wants more.
This was definitely one way to prove their point.
Allison immediately realises something, pulling away eyes wide as she takes in Tara’s own appearance.
“Erica---” She starts to screech at the girl before another voice cuts her off. “Erica, fucking loved the show Ally.” Allison turns towards the voice, coming face to face with Erica herself. Her eyes sparking with amusement and a glint of lust and eyebrows raised in challenge at Allison.
“It’s show time Ally. This one’s all for you.” Erica says, taking Allison’s hand to drag her towards the dance floor where a circle had been prepared. A lone chair sat in the middle.
Erica pushes Allison into the seat, before straddling the raven haired girls lap. Only then does Allison notice the microphone in Erica’s hand, and another in Tara’s. Both girls looking at Allison with a mix fondness, want and lust.
The tune slowly starts playing of the song. Erica lifts the microphone up to her lips gaze locked on Allison’s.
“Tell me what you want, what you like, it's okay”
Erica begins to run her fingers up Allison’s arm, trailing them up and down causing goosebumps in their path.
“I'm a little curious too”
Tara comes up behind her, pulling Allison’s head back to get her to look at her leaving Allison’s throat exposed as she takes over the next bit. Tara’s nails running over her scalp eliciting a pleasured moan from Allison’s lips.
“Tell me if it's wrong, if it's right, I don't care. I can keep a secret, can you?”
Erica moves in on her exposed throat, trailing kisses along it which Allison just knows will be left with stains from Erica’s red lipstick. Marking her as taken. As theirs.
And if the smirk Erica gives her before continuing the song is anything to go by. She knows it.
“Got my mind on your body and your body on my mind. Got a taste for the cherry, I just need to take a bite”
Allison snorts to herself at the phrase of got a taste for the cherry since Tara was wearing her trademark cherry lip balm for their kiss. But then Erica’s lips are on hers, swallowing the moan that was about to escape.
Tara has moved in on her neck too. Both girls working together to take Allison apart with just their hands and lips. It was working. The song continued, the soundtrack taking over as Erica and Tara are took busy with getting their hands on Allison’s body.
“Don't tell your mother. Kiss one another. Die for each other. We're cool for the summer”
Allison’s isn’t even paying attention to the chorus of the song as it plays over them. Having brought up her hands to clutch Erica’s waist where her top had lifted up a little. Her hand feeling burnt from just getting to feel—to touch the blonde.
“Take me down into your paradise. Don't be scared, 'cause I'm your body type. Just something that we wanna try. 'Cause you and I, we're cool for the summer”
Allison felt like she was in paradise alright. Being between these two girls she had fallen for. Who want her back almost as much as she did. Erica’s lips leaves hers moving back down towards her neck, pulling the neck of her top to the side to gain better access while Tara pulls away moving around to her front kneeling next to both of them microphone brought up.
“Tell me if I won, if I did, what's my prize? I just wanna play with you too.”
“Oh I’ve definitely won.” Allison thinks to herself through the hypnotic effect the two blondes were having on her. Moving her hand up to clutch Erica’s head, pressing her in closer and feeling the smirk on the girls lips against her skin.
“Even if they judge, fuck it, I'll do the time. I just wanna have some fun with you”
Tara lays a chaste kiss on her lips before pulling Erica away from her neck. She feels so wanted by the look they are giving her.
She wasn’t prepared for what came next. Tara cups Erica’s face dragging her in for a kiss letting Allison watch as their lips moves together and the noises they were making. Allison had to clutch her legs tight. She whimpers watching them both.
The song forgotten, Allison’s drags their faces apart. All three of their face look ruined and only then does Allison remember where they were. That they had an audience. Her face flushes red as she tries to hide herself.
“Take me home now.” She mutters to them both earning a laugh from these two girls. “Come on babe let’s take our girl home.” Erica remarks eyeing them both with want. Tara nod in agreement biting her lip as she eyes Allison’s appearance.
She was their girl. They were hers too.
Was the only thought in Allison’s head as they run for the exit, high on want and lust and maybe, just maybe a little bit of love
Featuring lil bonus of Thiam.
"Baaaaabe, you came." Theo chirps throwing his arms around Liams waist. Snuggling into the student coach's chest. Liam just snorts in amusement as his boyfriends drunken antics.
"You had a good night babe?" Liam asks moving his hands to keep Theo upright against him. He feels Theo nodding in silent reply against his chest.
Liam brings his hand up stroking it through Theo's hair softly earning a hum from Theo as the green eyed boy leans into his hand.
"Where's Tara, are we taking her home too?" Liam asks eyeing the bars entrance for any sign of Theo's older sister while rearranging him and Theo to lean against his 1970s Mustang.
Theo just grunts against his chest. "Got.... Allison. Show.... Video... orrow." He hears Theo mumbling, showing signs of being on the verge of sleep.
Liam snorts at the mumbled reply. It sounded like Tara and Erica had finally made a move on the raven haired girl.
He moves supporting Theo's weight and manages to get his sleepy boyfriend in the passenger seat of the car leaning down to brush the stray hairs out of Theo's face.
"Hey, babe. Where you wanna go? Your apartment or mine?" Liam asks securing the seat belt over Theo.
"H...ome" He hears Theo mumbling bring a soft smile to his lips at seeing his boyfriend so carefree. "Yeah where you wanna go home?"
Theos mumbled answer brings a blush to Liams cheeks but also warms his heart. "Where....iam.....Home.... pretty....b.....ome."
Liam leans over pressing his lips to Theo's forehead softly rubbing the pad of his thumb down Theo's cheeks, caressing them slowly. "Yeah T. Your my home too." He softly whispers.
God he loved this green eyed boy with everything he had.
He moves round the car climbing into the drivers seat. Hearing Theo sighing in content as he snuggles further into the seat, slowly drifting to sleep.
"Lets go home Theo." He says, more to himself than his sleeping boyfriend next to him.

So, I have been really wanting to do some more pieces from some of my favorite fanfics. It's my way of showing my love to you all of you incredible writers for giving us such beautiful works. 💜
This one is for @wolfboy88's fic 'The One That I Want. It's one of the first fics I ever had the pleasure to read for Thiam and it's one of my all time favorites. I STILL get goosebumps at the image it gave me in my head of Theo and Liam on the dancefloor at Sinema. 🥺
I'm including a link, because if you haven't read it, you really should!

How would the HIWTHI family react if reader came out as nonbinary, and they ran away because they didn’t think the family would be supportive?
I need some enby love, I got deadnamed by some idiots today:( but I feel like they would be surprisingly supportive

How the HIWTHI family reacts to reader running away because they think the family won't support them - 🏠💕
Tumblr media
Marcus is deeply ashamed of himself, partially because he hates the fact that he hasn't done enough to show you he cares and partially because this has essentially happened before.
Part of why the twins went staunchly no contact upon moving out was because Jack is a transman, and figured he wouldn't get any support from your parents for his transition. He was especially wary about Clara's reaction since he was her only daughter at some point, but all that nervousness ended up being for nothing!
Your dad will never admit this, but he was basically begging to take Jack to the barbershop for his first haircut. Even if they had a severely rocky relationship, he was happy to welcome his son. He'll be just as happy to welcome his child. Marcus is already filling out the paperwork for your name change, just give him the word and he'll have your new documents in no time
Clara truly feels terrible. She starts to analyze any conversation you've had with her (however few) to see when she could've said something to make it seem like she wouldn't be supportive. No matter what goals you have, however you want to present, she's right behind you in getting there.
She'll buy you a whole new wardrobe if your clothes aren't right for you, anything and everything that make you more comfortable. If someone like your peers at school are giving you a hard time, Clara is finding out who they are and making sure their future employers are aware of that behavior. (She's completely cut off family that were nasty about Jack's transition, the women has no problem ruining some assholes future.)
Jack and Theo are disappointed that they weren't safe people for you, if anything they feel the most guilty out of everyone.
Theo is quickest to jump to your defense, being used to already doing that for their twin. They more than likely relate to you a lot, being nonbinary as well! If you ever need to talk, they're right there to listen or just to be a shoulder to lean on. Jack becomes your number one hype man, he'll feel incredibly honored if you ask him for advice or help with things. (He probably tears up..)
Jaiden feels like an asshole because admittedly, he had some internalized homophobia when he was younger that could have attributed to how his baby sibling feels.
He has worked on that part of himself since and is fully supportive!! He's very awkward at first just because he feels bad, but he really does want to be there for you.
He's very aggressive towards people he thinks are being rude, even if what they said was an honest mistake, Jaiden will get in their face about respecting his little sibling either way. The older boy would be all too eager if they decided to make it physical, he does love a fight but secretly he also wants to look cool protecting you
(I think he'd want matching pride pins.. even the really cheesy ones.)

Broke For Valentines Day
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Happy Valentines Day, ya’ll! I honestly didn’t think I was gonna finish before actual vday but I did it! 😊And as promised, I wrote my very first drabble to go with it.
Full disclosure I’m not really a writer but I wanted to at least try it. I hope you enjoy. 💜
....
Valentine's Day. The day that Theo is excited, nervous, and has been dreading for at least two weeks now is just two days away. He's excited and nervous because it's his and Liam's first Valentine's Day together. (His first Valentine's Day, period.) It should be cheesy and lame and Theo shouldn't care. But he does. He does and he wants to make it special for Liam. Because he is so gone for this beautiful blue-eyed boy that tore down all of his walls and stole his already borrowed heart. He's dreading it because money is tight this month and he has virtually no wiggle room money-wise. Having to pay bills while being in college and dealing with everyday pack BS that comes with living in Beacon Hills, he had no time to pick up extra hours at work. He decides the least he can do is use his cooking talents to try and make the day special. And hey, when had Liam ever turned down a delicious meal? Especially if Theo is the one cooking it. He even calls Jenna and gets a recipe for one of Liam's favorite childhood desserts, just to make it a little bit more special. He'd do anything to see Liam's smile, sunny and bright. The day before on his way home from work, he stops by the market to get ingredients. He finds everything for the dessert easy enough and quickly heads over to the produce section. He browses the vegetables marked at a reduced price. Most of them are unappealing and sad looking, but before he can really begin to become frustrated, he finds some fresh Brussels sprouts marked at half-price. And they are still nice and pretty. Theo already has all the ingredients at home to make a delicious balsamic glaze to toss them in and roast them up. He even finds a twin pack of russet potatoes on sale! Baked potatoes it is! After acquiring his sides, he grabs a few toppings for the potatoes and makes his way over to the proteins. Again, he browses the meats marked for a reduction but avoids the seafood, because that seems sketchy. He does find a pack of beautiful-looking ribeyes. Even reduced, the price makes Theo wince slightly. But they are perfect. He knows exactly how to treat them and knows Liam will definitely approve. He slips them into his cart, 'cause what the hell? His boyfriend is worth it! He heads to the check out next, but before he can even get there, he passes a display chock full of everything Valentine's Day and he stops. Something catches his eye. A pair of holiday-themed boxer briefs. They are shiny black with hearts on one side and a large "xoxo" on the other. He grabs them off of the display, liking the silky feel of the material sliding through his fingers. He tosses them into his cart before he can decide against it, makes a beeline to the (self) checkout, pays, and gets the hell out of there. … The next day at work, Theo can hardly focus on anything else but his evening plans. His nerves are back with a vengeance, but he also misses Liam. He hasn't seen him in over a week. Between both of their busy schedules and Liam being away on a trip for one of his university classes, they have only been communicating through text messages and a few… interesting phone calls. Theo is going a little crazy. Eager to have Liam back in his arms again. To feel his skin under his fingertips, to taste his kiss, and to breathe in his scent. It's after he's dropped something for about the 6th time that his manager pulls him aside to ask him what his deal is. He apologizes profusely and tells her that he's just a little distracted. She smiles a little knowingly. And tells him that he can go ahead and clock out a little early if he wants. They are slow today, and another employee is already clocking in for their shift, so they will be okay without him. Theo probably shouldn't, he could use the money, but he also wants to have the dinner and the dessert ready for Liam when he comes home from his trip. He thanks her, incredibly grateful. And she smiles again and tells him to have a goodnight. … Theo gets home and immediately whips up the incredibly simple dessert. Just confectioners sugar, cream cheese, and cool whip all blended up with a Graham cracker crust. He pops on the cherry pie filling and places it in the fridge to set. Dessert done. He gives the potatoes a good scrub, coats them in olive oil and sea salt, and pops them into his preheated oven. While that pre-bake, he makes quick work of tidying his apartment and heads back into the kitchen to tend to the Brussels sprouts. He tosses them in the balsamic glaze and slides them in with the potatoes to roast. While those are cooking, he sets the table. Plates, glasses, and even some candles. Next, he chops an onion and tosses it into a pan with some fresh garlic, butter, and some more olive oil and browns it up while he tends to the meat. Rubbing his own special blend of seasonings onto the ribeyes before placing them in the pan with a little more butter. He washes his hands and checks on the vegetables. He turns the potatoes and stirs the sprouts. He feels much calmer now than he has in days. Lost in the process of preparing their evening meal. He gets so lost, that in fact, he doesn't even notice Liam has come home early. He's turning over the steaks when he hears an appreciative, "Something sure smells good," just moments before he feels arms snake around his middle, and a soft kiss is pressed to the side of his neck. His skin heats just a little and he says, "You're home early. I was hoping you'd get here when everything's finished." Liam just hums and nuzzles into his neck some more and whispers out a soft, "That's okay. I like to watch you work. It's hot. And just… look at you. All pretty in pink too," He purrs, plucking the sleeve of Theo's t-shirt. "Shut up," Theo snorts with an eye roll, his cheeks pinkening slightly and giving him away. "Come on," Liam responds with a snort of his own, "like you didn't wear this just for me. This is the one Mase and I picked out for you." "Well, it's Valentine's Day after all. And if you don't want your special meal burned, I'd suggest you go sit down and stop distracting me." Liam pouts but steps back, giving Theo his space as he makes his way over to their tiny little dining table to watch him work. It's not long before a plate is set in front of him. Looking every bit as delicious as the man that prepared it. Theo tells him to make room for dessert because he made something special. They dig in and talk about his trip. Liam is just so happy to be back home with his boyfriend on Valentine's Day. While Theo goes to get dessert, Liam quickly goes and fetches Theo's gift that he's had hidden in the back of the closet for at least two weeks. He comes back and sees the Cherry Delight on the table and smiles so wide. It was his favorite growing up. "I called Jenna and got the recipe from her." And something about that just makes Liam feel so warm inside. He pulls Theo in and crashes their mouths together in a hungry kiss. When he pulls back, Theo is a little dazed looking and he shoves the gift bag into his hands. "Open it", he insists, no room for argument. And plops back down to dig into his dessert. He watches as Theo reaches into the bag and pulls out the box. A surprised gasp leaving his lips. Theo opens the box and pulls out a gorgeous set of professional chef's knives. He runs his fingers along the gleaming handles of one. He knows these were expensive and his heart falls into his stomach. Liam can scent the change in his chemosignals and is immediately on alert. "What's wrong, baby? Did I get the wrong set? I thought they were the ones you wanted, but I kept the receipt if-" But Theo shakes his head firmly. "They are beautiful, Li… Perfect. But I know how expensive they are and I didn't..." His voice trails off, but Liam understands anyway. He gets up and crouches down in front of Theo, where he's seated at the table, fingers still caressing the set of knives, completely somber. He hooks a finger under Theo's chin and makes him look him in the eye. "All of this. Dinner. My favorite dessert. It's perfect, Theo. I mean it. I couldn't ask for better." And then he's kissing Theo again to emphasize just how happy he is with everything he's done. How happy he is just to have him. Theo breaks the kiss and says softly "I did have one small surprise…" Liam nods and Theo gets up and heads to the bedroom, finding the bag and heading to the bathroom to put on the Valentine's themed underwear he bought on a whim. This wasn't a good idea because now that he's actually wearing them, he feels utterly ridiculous. What the hell was he thinking?! … Liam waits in their bed, just scrolling through Facebook. After what feels like forever, he finally calls out, "Babe? Are you ever coming outta there? You said you had a surprise." "Yeah... No. I changed my mind," comes Theo's voice, muffled through the bathroom door. Liam simply rolls his eyes and shouts back, "Quit being fucking weird and get out here!" He hears the door open, and Theo mumbling, "I don't know what I was thinking. I thought they were a good idea when I bought them but-" "Theo what are you even talk-" Liam finally looks up, his phone slipping from his hand, landing on his stomach with a hard smack, and nearly chokes on his own tongue at the sight that greets him. Theo is clad only in a pair of silky black boxer briefs, hearts on one side and 'xoxo' on the other. Every other glorious inch of the chimera's perfect body on display. His cock twitches in his jeans. "Are you serious?! You look incredible. Get over here." His voice comes out low and husky. But he's moving before Theo can even take another step. Standing and taking in the full sight once more. The slight flush on Theo's cheeks and chest darkened further under the heat of Liam's gaze. Once close enough to touch, he pulls Theo in the rest of the way and kisses him. Kisses him until they're both hard and breathless. "Can we have sex now?" Liam asks, catching Theo off guard. He erupts into fits of laughter. Rolling his eyes, he teases, "Well, I suppose. It's Valentine's Day after all" He echoes from earlier in the evening, "But you better hurry before I change my- SHIT-" He doesn't get to finish his sentence because Liam is quite literally sweeping him off his feet and tossing him onto the bed with a soft 'oof'; his body being covered by Liam's not even a second later. And as he gazes up into those blue eyes, into the face of the person who means everything to him, he realizes he has one more gift for Liam. Always too afraid to say it before, but now he can't keep it in, "I love you" he breathes. He says it with every ounce of emotion he feels in his chest. "I love you, Liam Dunbar." Liam's face splits into his gorgeous sunshine-y smile. He chuckles softly, and Theo thinks he can see that his eyes look a little wet when he says, "I love you too, Theo Raeken. Happy Valentine's Day."

SERIES MASTERLIST <3
Tumblr media
Against your better judgment, you’d fallen hard for Mattheo Riddle. And yet, you were fully aware that nothing would ever come of it.
You’d grown up in the same circles, your families often crossing paths at dinners and parties, but you were never particularly close—barely acknowledging each other in those polished, formal settings. It wasn’t until you both started at Hogwarts that any real connection formed. Being eleven and navigating the overwhelming experience of a new school was daunting for anyone. When you both were sorted into Slytherin, the shared familiarity in an unfamiliar place naturally drew you together.
Over time, you’d been there for him more times than you could count. You were the one cleaning his cuts after a fight, always telling him it was the last time because you couldn’t bear to see him get hurt. Yet, each time he showed up, you let him in with an exasperated huff, carefully tending to his wounds. When he’d appear at your door late at night, eyes dark with whatever was haunting him, you’d silently walk with him, sitting together in the quiet of the common room until the tension in his shoulders finally eased. You’d pretend to be annoyed when he asked to copy your coursework, but in truth, you savored every moment he sat close to you—the way his arm would brush against yours as he scribbled down your notes, the warmth of him, the scent of his cologne lingering in the air—leaving you longing for him to stay close just a little longer, even though you knew he never would.
He moved from one fling to the next, a string of one-night stands that never seemed to reach his heart. While you’d never been one of them, you couldn’t help but wonder what it would be like if you were. A stubborn, hopeless part of you clung to the fantasy that maybe, just maybe, he’d one day let you be the one he trusted with more than just a night tangled in the sheets.
Your friends always joked that if Mattheo ever got serious about a girl, it would be you—but you knew the chances of that were painfully slim.
So you were caught off guard when you walked into the common room and saw a girl you barely recognized sitting with your friends. Cozied up in the same armchair as Mattheo. Your steps faltered as you approached, trying to piece together who she was and why she was sitting with your friends. It wasn’t that you were opposed to meeting new people, but your group had never once welcomed anyone new.
“Hey, love.” Enzo murmured, patting the cushion beside him on the couch. He’s the only one who’s noticed you so far; the rest are absorbed in their heated discussion about the latest Quidditch match. You slide onto the couch next to him, your gaze briefly flicking to the girl sitting directly across from you, trying to place her.
“Hey, Enz.” You say with a soft smile, setting your bag down as you settle onto the couch.
“What’s going on?” You tilt your head toward the girl, and Enzo glances in her direction. She’s not paying attention, her gaze fixed on Mattheo with a lovesick expression.
“I’m not sure,” Enzo replies quietly, ensuring his voice doesn’t carry. “Mattheo just introduced us, and we’re all a bit confused about it too I think.”
“Oh.” You murmur and Enzo watches you carefully. He knows about your feelings for Mattheo; he’d have to be blind not to notice.
Enzo leans in closer, and you shift your gaze to him. “Listen, love—”
Enzo doesn’t get to finish before a soft gasp of your name catches your attention. You look over, surprised to see the girl leaning forward with her hand extended. You notice that her other hand still has a grip on Mattheo.
“I’m Veronica,” she says warmly, her smile never wavering. “Mattheo’s girlfriend.”
The word hits you like a punch to the gut. You’re at a loss for words, unsure if you can even find any.
Girlfriend. Since when does Mattheo Riddle have a girlfriend? And why wasn’t he introducing her himself?
You want to question her about it, to find out when this happened and how she managed to get past his walls. Because you had been trying for years. Instead, you sit there in stunned silence, your eyes darting between her hand and her face. Your mind is racing, trying to process the truth you’ve been blindsided by. You’d known he’d never be yours, not in the way you wanted, but hearing it, seeing it so plainly in front of you, feels like a cruel twist of fate.
Forcing a smile, you finally take her hand, the gesture automatic and devoid of real warmth. “Nice to meet you.” You manage to say, though the words feel foreign on your tongue.
Her smile widens, and she shifts closer to Mattheo as if silently asserting her place by his side. Your eyes flicker to Mattheo, whose attention is pulled to Veronica as she presses closer into him. You study his face intently, searching for any hint of his feelings toward her, hoping to find anything that might betray his feelings.
But when you see the way he looks at her—eyes soft, filled with a tenderness you’ve never seen from him before—your stomach churns with a sickening mix of jealousy and heartache.
His eyes meet yours, and he smiles, pressing a kiss to her hair. “Can’t wait for my two favorite girls to get to know each other better,” he says, the warmth in his voice making your chest tighten.
You glance at Veronica as she nods enthusiastically. “Me too, Matty,” she says, her voice dripping with sweetness. “I’m already so excited for the girls’ nights we’re going to have.”
You can’t tell if she’s genuinely that nice or just putting on a show for Mattheo. “Oh yeah. Can’t wait,” you say, forcing a smile that feels more like a grimace. Neither of them notices the unease behind it—they’re too wrapped up in each other, their attention locked in a gaze that makes you feel invisible.
You tear your gaze away, the sight of them together too painful to endure, and instead turn to Enzo. “What the hell?” you mutter, barely managing to keep your voice steady.
“I’m sorry, love, I wanted to tell you before they did,” Enzo whispers, wincing as he gives your hand a quick squeeze. You murmur a soft “It’s okay,” but inside, you’re far from feeling that way.
Desperately, you try to compose yourself, but the effort feels pointless. As your eyes wander, they lock with Theo's. He’s watching you, his expression unreadable. You muster a soft smile, hoping to mask the heartbreak inside, but he doesn’t return it; he just keeps watching, his gaze heavy with something you can't quite place.
You manage to stay for half an hour, offering the occasional nod and murmured agreement to feign interest in the conversation. But your mind is elsewhere, detached from the words being exchanged. No one seems to notice your distraction; they’re all too absorbed in their own banter to catch the distant look in your eyes.
Without realizing it, your gaze keeps drifting back to the couple. Veronica rests her head on Mattheo’s shoulder, and his hand is gently resting on her knee, his thumb brushing softly against her skin. You can’t help but notice how at ease he seems with this physical intimacy—something you’re surprised he’d be so comfortable with.
When Pansy casually asked how Mattheo and Veronica had met, you felt a surge of restless energy. Without thinking, you abruptly stood up, the couch creaking loudly at the force. The sudden noise drew the attention of everyone in the room. All eyes shifted to you, their expressions a mix of surprise and curiosity as they awaited your next move.
“Um,” you winced as the room's gaze fixed on you, feeling the heat of their attention. “I’m afraid I'm coming down with a migraine. I’m going to bed early tonight.”
Your friends’ voices fade into the background as they shout their goodnights, the words scarcely reaching your ears. You speed through the common room and down the cold, empty hallway, desperate for the seclusion of your dorm. Just as you’ve made it halfway to your room, a firm grip catches your hand. Startled, you spin around to find Theo standing there, his eyes searching yours with a mix of concern and hesitation.
“Dolcezza,” he says softly, his voice a gentle caress in the quiet hallway. His eyes follow the tears streaming down your cheeks, and you watch through blurry vision as he takes a tentative step closer. “What’s going on?”
You open your mouth to respond but find yourself unable to form the words. The lump in your throat feels insurmountable. Instead, you just shake your head slightly, your tears continuing to fall unchecked.
He releases a quiet sigh and says, “Come here.” Without a second thought, you step closer, encircling his waist with your arms while resting your head against his chest. His arms come up to settle around your shoulders, and he gently rests his head against yours. As you press your face into his chest, sniffling softly, he whispers soothing words in Italian, his voice a comforting murmur.
You must have been standing in the cold corridor for fifteen minutes before the distant murmur of approaching students prompts Theo to gently pull himself from you. He takes your hand, his touch warm against the chill, guiding you away from the freezing corridor.
“It’s just you and Pansy, right?” He asks, using his hand to guide you in front of him to let you go ahead and enter your room first.
“Yeah, but she’ll probably stay with Blaise.” You say softly, the strain in your voice revealing that you’ve been crying. Theo doesn’t say anything; he’s long since lost count of the times he’s told them off for leaving the curtains open or forgetting to cast a silencing spell. Instead, he follows you into your dorm, the door clicking softly behind him.
The walls are lined with polaroids of the group, and Theo’s gaze lingers on the numerous pictures of you and Mattheo. Your dark wood desk is topped with a silver lamp and a few textbooks, its surface cluttered with quills and scattered notes. Mattheo’s jersey is draped over the back of your chair, and Theo recalls all the times seeing you wear it at each game. Your teddy, a well-worn bear that Theo recognizes as the same one you bring every year, sits at the top of your desk.
The room feels markedly warmer than the corridor outside, though it might just be because it’s your room.
“You can sit.” You offer. Theo’s eyes move to where you’re perched on the edge of your bed watching him.
You’ve kicked off your shoes and tossed your robes over your trunk. He swallows, his gaze lingering on you. Despite the tear stains on your cheeks, he finds it hard to look away, thinking how pretty you look.
It’s rare for him to spend time with you alone. Usually, when you’re together, it’s with the rest of your friends. Over the years, you’ve been paired up in classes a few times, but neither of you has ever gone out of your way to be alone together.
He sits down next to you on the bed, deliberately leaving some space between you. For a while, neither of you speaks. When Theo finally glances at you out of the corner of his eye, he notices you staring at a polaroid of you and Mattheo. It was taken at a party celebrating Slytherin’s win. In the photo, you’re perched on his lap, one arm casually draped around his shoulder, the other holding up a cup of whatever you were drinking. Your smile is bright, full of life, while Mattheo’s is more subdued, but there’s no mistaking the way he’s looking at you—content, almost in awe, as you laugh above him.
He was sure you two were going to get together that night.
“Dolcezza,” He murmurs. You hum to show you’re listening, but don’t look away from the picture. “You know I’m here for you. In any way you need me.”
You can’t tear your eyes away from the picture at first, your teeth sinking into your bottom lip as you stare at it. Finally, you let out a sigh and turn to him, “I appreciate that. But how fair would it be for me to vent about your best friend to you?”
It’s the first time he’s ever heard you say anything that hints at your feelings for Mattheo.
“I don’t care about him right now. I care about you.” He says, and you look a tad surprised at his words.
There’s a moment of quiet as you process Theo’s words. He’s always been Mattheo’s best friend, so hearing him dismiss Mattheo like that catches you off guard. You hesitate, not wanting to unload all your feelings onto him, especially since the mere thought of talking about Mattheo and Veronica makes your stomach turn.
“Theo,” you sigh, your voice tinged with vulnerability, on the verge of breaking. He can hear how close you are to tears. “Will you lie with me? If that’s weird, I understand—”
But before you can finish, Theo gently takes your hand, his grip warm and reassuring, leaving no room for doubt. He gives a small nod, silently gesturing for you to lie down, and you follow his lead.
“Where do you want me, dolcezza?” he asks, his voice soft. You feel a momentary hesitation, your heart stuttering at the tenderness in his tone.
“Um,” you murmur, turning onto your side, feeling the vulnerability settling in your stomach. “Will you face me?”
Theo doesn’t hesitate. He moves effortlessly, sliding into place beside you. You watch as he slips off his shoes and sets them aside, then settles himself on the bed, positioning his body so he’s facing you. You find yourself holding your breath, acutely aware of how close he is—how you’re sharing the same pillow and could study every detail of his face if you wanted to.
“Thank you.” You say, and you cringe inwardly at the way your voice wavers. It’s as if your sadness is laid bare, impossible to mask.
His eyes gently trace your features, a soft concern evident in his expression as he takes in the sight of you, “For?”
“Laying with me. Coming to check on me,” Your voice drops to a whisper and your eyes well up in tears when you think about why you were upset in the first place. “It means a lot.”
Theo lets out a soft hum, his gaze tender as he lifts his hand to gently brush away a tear that slips from your eye. His touch lingers, the pad of his thumb making slow, deliberate strokes against your skin, as if taking his time. His eyes meet yours, and you watch him with your lips slightly parted, overwhelmed by the unexpected tenderness of his touch. The softness of his fingers against your face feels soothing; you’ve never had anyone touch you like this before.
You shift closer to Theo, and for a moment, he tenses, as if unsure of your proximity. The hesitation makes you wonder if this closeness is too much, but then he wraps his arm around you and draws you in, holding you firmly against him. You let your eyes flutter shut, inhaling his cologne—surprisingly more comforting to you than Mattheo’s—and feeling the warmth of his body through his shirt.
As his fingers move gently over your hair, a calming touch, you rest your head against his chest. The steady rhythm of his heartbeat becomes a soothing reminder that you aren’t alone, and soon you find yourself drifting off, wrapped in his quiet of your dorm.
.·。.·゜✭·.·✫·゜·。.
When you wake up, Theo is gone, and you’re not sure if you’re more disappointed or relieved. Given how you feel, you’re leaning toward the latter. Your head throbs with a sharp, relentless ache, and your puffy eyes serve as a reminder of the tears you shed last night.
You’re nearly done getting ready when Pansy slips into the dorm, her brows knitting in surprise as she takes in the sight of you.
Her gaze lingers on the dark circles under your eyes and the slight tremor in your hands as you fix your tie, “I didn’t think you’d be leaving the dorm today.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” You snap and Pansy raises an amused brow at the agitation in your voice.
“I didn’t think you’d be in the mood to see them.” She heads to her trunk, her current clothes rumpled and clearly in need of a fresh uniform. You don’t need her to spell it out—you know exactly who she’s talking about.
“I left because I had a migraine.” You grit out and she glances over her shoulder, obviously amused and doubtful at your answer.
“Really? A migraine after seeing those two?” Pansy hums, rummaging through her trunk with deliberate slowness, her eyes flicking to you as if gauging your reaction. “They were all over each other last night. Who’s to say they won’t be again today?”
You stiffen at the mention of Mattheo and his girlfriend, your fingers pausing on your tie. The events of last night rush back—Veronica’s hand on Mattheo, the way he looked at her. You feel a fresh wave of nausea but push it down, not wanting to give Pansy the satisfaction of seeing you upset.
“It doesn’t bother me.” You mutter, trying to sound indifferent, though your voice wavers slightly. You force your hands to finish with your tie, pulling it tighter than necessary.
Pansy glances over at you, a flicker of something like sympathy in her eyes, as she drops the amused smirk, “You know you can tell me, right? About how you feel about him.”
You study Pansy, debating whether to finally say what you’ve kept to yourself for so long. It’s only been hours since you basically admitted it to Theo, and now telling Pansy feels like too much—though you’re sure they’d suspected for a while. But voicing it out loud feels like stepping into territory you’re not ready to face.
“What difference does it make, Pans? He’s got a girlfriend now.” You sigh, the sadness from last night seeping into your words. She abandons her trunk, standing up to fully face you, her expression unreadable.
“If it helps, we were all surprised.” She says, her voice unexpectedly gentle. “None of us had a clue he was sleeping with anyone more than once.”
Your stomach churns further, “I don’t think that really helps, Pans.”
“Fuck, I’m sorry,” she says, her eyes scanning your face for any sign of comfort. “I could make her life a nightmare if you want. Perhaps then she’d decide it’s not worth it.”
“No,” you say, wincing as you stare at the wall, feeling the heaviness of the room. “I want him to be happy, and if she makes him happy, then I need to accept it. Even if it hurts.”
Pansy narrows her eyes, disbelief crossing her face. “Are you joking? You’d make him happy—”
“Pansy,” you cut her off, frustration making your voice sharper. “I don’t need you to fix this. I just need to figure out how to deal with it myself.”
Pansy falls silent, her gaze shifting as she takes in the raw pain on your face, a flicker of guilt passing over her expression. She heads off to change, leaving you on your bed, the weight of her offer hanging in the air. You sit there, lost in thought, waiting for her to finish getting ready. Despite her nights spent with Blaise, you both always made a point to walk to breakfast together.
When Pansy finally emerges, you both make your way to the Great Hall in quiet unison. The hum of conversation and the steady flow of students around you create a backdrop of normalcy.
“What did you do after you left last night?” Pansy asks, her gaze shifting from the bustling corridor to you.
“Had a good cry.” You reply, trying to keep your tone light despite the heaviness you feel.
Pansy’s brow furrows. “Darling, you shouldn’t have been alone.”
“I wasn’t.” You say, almost reluctantly.
“What do you mean?”
“Theo came back to the dorm with me,” you explain, your voice softer now. “He stayed with me, just… holding me, until I fell asleep.”
Pansy’s eyes widen slightly, and she falls quiet for a moment, “He did?”
You let out a soft hum, and Pansy grips at your hand, her touch both firm and reassuring. Her eyes reflect a mix of concern and guilt as she looks at you.
“I’m sorry,” she says, her voice softening with sincerity. “I should’ve come to check on you instead of leaving it to Theo. I didn’t realize your feelings for Mattheo were this strong.”
You shake your head slightly, your gaze dropping to where her fingers clasp yours. “It’s okay,” you murmur, trying to steady your voice. “Theo being there helped more than I thought it would. I’m glad I wasn’t alone.”
Pansy nods, her expression softening. “I wish I’d known,” she says quietly. “I would’ve gone with you immediately. I just thought you needed some space.”
You offer a small, appreciative smile, grateful for her concern. “Thanks, Pansy. It means a lot.”
Pansy pulls you into a warm hug, and despite the heaviness in your chest, you can’t help but chuckle at the unexpected show of affection. When she finally lets go, she takes your hand and leads you toward the Great Hall.
As you make your way to the Slytherin table, your spirits, momentarily lifted by Pansy’s support, are quickly deflated when you see who’s occupying your usual spot.
A heavy weight settles in your stomach as you spot Veronica nestled against Mattheo’s side, her head tilted as she whispers something into his ear. His laughter, genuine and warm, makes your appetite vanish. You decide that you’re not very hungry anymore.
You swallow hard, struggling to keep your emotions in check. Pansy gives your hand a comforting squeeze and gestures toward an empty seat beside Theo. Usually, Theo would be across from Mattheo, but today he’s positioned next to Draco. You hesitate, not wanting to assume he saved the spot for you, but then Theo turns and offers you a gentle smile—a smile you’ve never seen him give anyone else. As you stand there, he reaches out with that soft smile, his hand extended to gently guide you into the seat beside him.
You settle into the seat beside Theo, and with a resigned sigh, you reach for some food to add to your plate. Even though your appetite is all but gone, you know it’s important to eat.
Theo leans in slightly, his voice a low murmur as he meets your gaze. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there when you woke up,” he says quietly. “I had something I needed to take care of.” “That’s alright,” You murmur, sending him a quick, soft smile. “Were you able to get any sleep last night?”
Theo hesitates, unsure whether to tell you that it was the best sleep he’s had in a while or simply agree. He settles for a nod, “Uh yeah. I slept pretty good. Did you?”
“As well as I could,” You shrug, “But it was nice having you there.” He can see how flustered you are to utter those words, your gaze fixed on the tea you're stirring, and he struggles to resist the urge to offer to stay the night with you again.
“I meant what I said. I’m here for you in anyway that you need me.” You turn towards him, your expression softening as you take in the genuine look on his face. Your lips part, but you can’t manage to get anything past them. The way he’s looking at you makes you nervous.
“Oi! What are you two whispering about?” Theo’s head snaps toward Draco, who is watching you both with a look of clear distaste at the way you were leaning into each other, gazing at one another so intently.
“Nothing.” Theo snaps out, and Draco raises an eyebrow at the sharpness in his tone. A sly grin begins to form on Draco’s face as he opens his mouth to speak, but Theo interrupts with a low murmur that you can’t quite make out. Draco doesn’t say anything, but faces his breakfast with a disgruntled look on his face.
Theo engages in a lively conversation with Enzo and Draco, leaving you content to eat in quiet. However, it’s not long before Veronica's giggles start to cut through the silence, growing louder with each passing moment. When you finally look up, your heart sinks. Mattheo’s arm is wrapped around her waist, pulling her close as he murmurs something into her ear. She glances up at him, still laughing, and Mattheo leans in, pressing a kiss to her lips.
Overwhelmed, you instinctively reach for Theo’s thigh, your hand gripping it tightly as you try to steady yourself. Theo looks at you, startled by your sudden reaction, but you’re not meeting his gaze. Instead, he follows your line of sight to where Mattheo and Veronica are entwined, lost in their own world.
He drops his fork with a sigh, his hand immediately reaching out to grasp yours with a firm, reassuring grip. His touch is warm and steady as he gently pulls your focus from the scene before you. Theo's gaze lingers on the tear-brimmed edges of your eyes, his expression a mix of concern and quiet determination. He glances at your friends, still lost in their animated conversation, and feels a pang of relief that they’re oblivious to the devastation written across your face.
“C’mon,” he murmurs, rising from his seat while maintaining a firm hold on your hand. With a quick, reassuring glance, he leans down to grab your bag. “I’ll walk you to class a bit early.”
Without a word, you follow him, casting a glance back at Pansy. You silently mouth ‘class’ to her as she watches you with curiosity from over your shoulder. If your friends notice the way Theo’s hand is intertwined with yours, they make no sign of it.
The moment you're out in the hall, it feels like you can finally breathe again. A few tears slip down your cheeks, and you cling tightly to Theo’s hand as you walk, finding some comfort in the steady warmth of his touch. You appreciate how he doesn’t push you to talk or ask any questions, just quietly staying by your side. There's a comfort in knowing he’s there if you need him, without the pressure to say a word.
After a couple minutes of walking, you squeeze his hand and Theo glances over at you, “I’m not sure how I’m going to do this.”
He squeezes your hand back, “What do you mean?”
“Seeing them together,” You mumble. “It really hurts.”
“I’m sorry, dolcezza.” He speaks softly, wishing he had the right words to offer, some way to tell you how to get over someone. But the truth is, he’s still trying to figure it out himself.
“Will you help me get over him?” Theo's steps falter slightly at your question, his heart aching at the vulnerability in your voice. He swallows, the weight of your words sinking in.
He glances at you, unease settling in his stomach, “How exactly?” He briefly considers the fact that whatever you ask of him could maje him fall for you more. But as long as it meant you were happy.
You hesitate, your gaze dropping to the floor as you search for the right words. “I don’t know,” you admit, your voice barely above a whisper. “Just… be there, I guess. Help me forget about him. Distract me.”
Theo nods slowly, his mind racing. He wants to say something, to offer more than just his presence, but he knows that pushing too hard might make things worse. Instead, he gently squeezes your hand again, his thumb brushing over your knuckles in a comforting rhythm.
“I can do that,” he murmurs, his voice steady despite the nerves inside him. “I’ll be here for you, no matter what.”
You offer him a small, grateful smile, and he can see the hint of sadness still lingering in your eyes. It breaks his heart, but he pushes those feelings aside. Right now, what matters is helping you heal, even if it means hiding his own growing feelings for you.
As you continue walking, Theo keeps you close, his hand never leaving yours. And though he doesn’t say it out loud, he silently vows to do whatever it takes to make you smile again, even if it means keeping his own heartache hidden in the process.

By the time you reach your dorm, exhaustion weighs heavily on you. You’ve spent the entire day with your head down, avoiding any sight of Mattheo and Veronica. The silence between you and Mattheo feels foreign; it’s the first time you’ve gone a whole day without speaking to him, and you’re unsure if he even noticed your absence.
Unfortunately, you share several classes with both Mattheo and, evidently, Veronica. The sound of her laugh has become something you never want to hear again.
You kick off your shoes, fatigue weighing heavily on your limbs as you move towards your bed. As you pass your desk, something catches your eye—a bundle of red flowers sitting on top of your books. You pause, your curiosity piqued, and approach the desk. With a gentle touch, you lift the bundle, revealing vibrant red peonies. Their rich color stands out against the soft light filtering through the window, and their subtle, sweet fragrance fills the air.
Your eyes catch a note nestled among the flowers. You bite your lip to hide a smile as you read his messy handwriting: your name followed by a simple heart.
