Kidge summer event
Day 22 : Prank
Characters: Pidge/Katie holt , Keith Kogane, Shiro, Lance, Hunk
Pairing: pidge and keith : kidge
post Season8
A/N: this is the part two of the day 2: Pool <----
Pidge and Keith had been spending more time together lately, and the rest of the team noticed. Now, remember, Pidge and Lance were curently in a "fight" since he threw her in the pool as she was calmly reading her book. So since a few days, they were constantly teasing each other with some pranks, which was annoying everyone...
Seeing Keith and Pidge bonding so much and being two fools that were into each other without even trying a thing gave him an idea of prank...
Hunk and Lance were in the pool, looking at keith and Pidge that were both under an umbrella, laughing together and sharing a plate of fresh strawberrys that Hunk brought them ( because he knows what's going on...)
"Awwww, these two are literally into each other... They are just too awkward to admit it... I hope they wont take years before to admit it."
Hunk sighed.
At Hunk's words, Lance raised an eyebrow:
"Pffff, If they keep going like that, in two years, nothing would have changed..."
Hunk stayed silent so Lance continued:
"SO! I had an idea of prank, but I'll need your help for that..."
"A prank? Again? Lance, you and Pidge have to stop, really..."
"Don't worryyyyyy, Im sure you'll like that one..."
Lance leaned to whisper his plan to Hunk.
Two nights later, the group had planed to go chill in front of a nearby lake, at night.
When they arrived, the sun started to disappear. The warmness of the day faded along with the sun. They started a fire and sat around it. They talked about many topics before Lance turned toward Pidge:
"Hey, By the way you guys! Have you heard the legend about this place?"
Pidge raised an eyebrow.
"No? what is it?"
"They say that a ghost is haunting these mountains..."
Lance said, trying to seem scary.
"A ghost? seriously?.."
Pidge and Keith seemed sceptical.
"Yeah! I heard that too!..."
Hunk said, facking a few shivering.
"And so YOU, Hunk Garret, the guy that doesn't like adventure and scary stuffs, accepted to come?"
"HUH, well... Lance forced me to come..."
Hunk improvised.
"I heard many bad things about that ghost."
Shiro interject, trying to help Hunk... Because yup! They got Shiro into the prank. he just wants Keith to be happy and Pidge seemed perfect for him. (Shiro also knew that Keith had never liked anyone in his life and it was new to him...)
"Shiro, you believe that?..."
Keith asked, still pretty sceptical.
"I guess?"
He answered, he didn't seem comfortable.
"Well, you'll excuse me, but I have to use the rest room... But we're in a forest, so, I'll use a tree........... But, I need someone to come with me because im scared! what if the ghost comes and kills me! Hunk, you come! SEE YA!" Lance ran away from the groupe, grabbing hunk by his arm...
Pidge and Keith exchanged a few glances...
"You guys are being weird tonight..."
Keith said as he scrapped the back of his neck.
"You think so?.."
Shiro asked, embarrassed.
After long minutes, Hunk and Lance weren't back.
"Damn, did he fall in the toilet... tree?
Pidge asked.
"Maybe I should go check on them?.."
Shiro got up.
"We should all come."
Keith stated.
"No! You guys, stay here! I'll be back quick."
Shiro walked away, not letting the two that were still sat near the fire.
"Ok?... What was that?"
Pidge asked.
"I have no idea..."
"I first felt like It was one of Lance's pranks but... Shiro and Hunk wouldn't be playing his game if it was... You know that they are tired of our "fights"! " She chuckled.
"Yeah... we-"
A familiar scream came from the dark forest, stoping Keith from finishing his sentence.
"Was it... Lance?..."
Pidge asked, slightly shivering.
"Who else screams that way?.."
"Ok, if this is one of his pranks, it's literally NOT funny... Why would he even prank you? you are not a part of our "prank war"?..
"Well, he always tries to annoy me, so that wouldn't surprise me..."
Keith finished his sentence in a sigh.
"So, what do we do? What if this isn't a prank?"
At Pidge's words, Keith thought. He tried to remain calm.
"Well, considering the possibility that it isn't a prank, we should try to stay quiet... To not draw attention to us... So, Maby we should stop the fire?"
Pidge wasn't feeling good at the idea of stopping the fire but she knew that Keith was right.
"Yeah and we should stay together too, c'ause-
One more time, their discussion got interrupted, but by a noise coming from a near-by bush.
"G-guys?...."
Pidge asked, hesitantly. She tried to keep a calm front but her shaky voice was betraying her. Plus, She was leaning behind keith as if he was a shield.
No answere...
then the fire stoped lighting the surroundings. But, there was no wind... HOW?!
Ok, now they were freaking out.
"Huh, Keith?.."
"Yes?..."
"What now?..." She was holding tightly around his arm, he could feel her skin against him.
That's when he passed to the protective mode.
"Now, we stay quiet."
He whispered as he was holding her closer.
They silently waited inthe darkness of the night.
minutes felt like houres...
And the silence was sooooooooo heavy...
Then a noise froze the both of them.
Then footsteps.
THEN RUNNING FOOTSTEPS.
As the running footsteps approached, Keith's heart pounded in his chest, and he instinctively pulled Pidge even closer to him. The darkness made it impossible to see who or what was coming towards them.
Just as they were preparing for the worst, a figure suddenly leaped out of the shadows, landing right on top of them. Keith and Pidge let out a collective gasp as they tumbled to the ground, their arms instinctively wrapping around each other in the chaos.
"RAWR! IM A BIG AND MEAN GHOST§" Lance's voice rang out, and the surrounding darkness was instantly replaced by the flickering light of the fire he had relit. His laughter filled the air as he sat up and looked down at his two friends who were still sprawled on the ground. in the same time, Hunk and Shiro came back around the fire.
"Really, Lance?!" Keith exclaimed, his heart still pounding from the adrenaline rush.
Pidge was still holding on Keith. "ARE YOU GUYS CRAZY?!"
"Come onnnnnn, it was funny! lus, the plan worked!"
"Yeah, at least now, you guys shared your feelings for each other!"
Hunk said, smiling from cheek to cheek.
A silence took place.
"Feelings?.."
Pidge looked up at Keith. that's when she noticed that she was still holding tightly on keith. She blushed and released her grip on him.
"Ho... so you didn't..."
Hunk pouted nervously.
keith and pidge were staring in each other's eyes, both being a blushing mess...
"We'll have to talk... In private."
A/N: I tryed to do something original for it... hope you like it! (I haven't corrected my mistakes, if you see that something is wrong, tell me!)

the spy 2
keith kogane x reader. 5.8k words. explicit.
part 1
The door’s barely closing shut when Keith’s all over you. You welcome his touch, electric against you as he runs his hands down your sides, squeezing your ass while he kisses you hard. His lips move against yours, sucking on your bottom lip. Your breath hitches. Kissing him back becomes a matter of urgency.
The taste of his mouth, the feel of his body pressing against yours, drives you wild. It’s been days of thinking of him, of an ache between your thighs. Instead of finally getting some relief, you grow feverish with heat and all you can think about is him. You’ve never been so affected by one person.
His hands are splayed over your ass. You can feel his hard length through his clothes.
“Keith,” you mean to ask something, but it all seems so unimportant when he strokes your mouth with his tongue.
“Mm,” he hums against your mouth.
You can worry about it later. You pop the buttons on the collar of your jumpsuit, pulling your zipper down. You wanted him so bad. The heat under your skin burns hot like a ship entering the atmosphere.
Keith trails open mouthed kisses down from your mouth, lingering on the curve of your jaw, nipping at your skin and fuck, you remember the sharp press of his teeth and it clicks he’s holding back as he nips on the side of your neck softly. You run your fingers through his hair, pulling on his thick hair. “Go ahead,” you want it, heat coiling in your core at the idea of being all marked up by Keith.
He pulls back, his hands coming up to your waist. You can feel the tension in his entire body, pulled taunt. “I don’t want to hurt you.” Keith ducks his head.
It was easy to forget you didn’t really know each other.
You shrug your jumpsuit off your shoulders, letting it reveal more of your chest. There were still marks healing from your last encounter with Keith.
His violet eyes take in the expanse of your chest. You only had a bra underneath instead of an undershirt too because it’s not like you were really duty. Keith’s hand comes up to trace his own bruised kisses. His touch is like a brand. The weight of his hand had you leaning into his touch.
“I want you to be rough,” you admit in a hushed whisper, you’d never told anyone that. You liked the idea of rough sex, twisting your own nipplewhen you masturbated on your own, but you’d never asked anyone to do it to you, never felt comfortable enough. “It’ll be fun,” you tell him, slipping your hands under his black shirt.
His skin was warm.
A light sweat that has you adding to your running list of things filed under Keith.
You needed to go over Galra illnesses at some point.
There was so much information in the universe.
“If you’re sure,” he asks. The shade of his eyes was such an intense shade of violet it could almost be black, pulling you in, dragging you down into their depths.
“I am.”
You check out mentally. He kisses you softly for once, capturing your lips against his.
Then Keith shoves the sleeves of your jumpsuit off your arms, scraping his teeth against your shoulder before dragging his tongue over the indents of his teeth.
A whine escapes your throat as you scrape your nails against his abdomen.
You pull your arms free of the sleeves, reluctantly letting go of him, and the longer this goes on the weaker your knees grow.
Keith leans his head down pressing a wet kiss against your collarbone before biting down hard. His arms cradle your back, pressing you against him as your chest arches into his mouth. Fuck. “Keith,” you whimper, digging your fingers into his sides.
“Tell me what you want,” he moans as his voice cracks, looking up at you.
You push his jacket off his shoulders. You pull at the hem of his shift, “come on, come fuck me.”
He pulls back, shrugging off his jacket, tossing his shirt on the ground as you shred your jumpsuit off completely, kicking off your shoes. The cool recycled air of the space station has gooseflesh erupting all over your arms. It doesn’t last long, Keith kissing you hard, his hand cupping your jaw, leaning you back to him.
Your hands travel down, unbuttoning his jeans.
It’s a rush of blood, heartbeat in your ears.
You free his hard cock from his jeans, toes curling in anticipation. Finally. You still remembered how good he’d felt inside you, how full. You want it again. You want him. You can barely stand the buzz of anticipation running through you.
“Let me,” Keith breathes, licking a stripe down your throat, nipping at the crook of your neck as the fabric of your underwear rips.
You moan.
“Hot,” you tell him. “That was hot,” because you didn’t want him to grow self conscious, not now, not when you were so close to having him inside you.
“I’m going to fuck you,” Keith groans, “fuck, I’m going to fuck you so good,”
“Please!”
Keith’s hands shift, leaving your hips, running down over your ass and digging his fingers into the back of your thighs.
You stroke his shaft with your hand and he moans your name.
He lifts you up. Keith lifts you onto his cock.
“Fuck.”
You both moan. You were so wet for him. He slides his cock inside you easily. There’s a delicious burn as your pussy stretches to accommodate him. You're so full.
He savors the feel of you, not moving.
You wrap your arms around his neck, burying your face in hair.
Finally, some relief.
You’d been so worked up the past few days, your clit so sensitive. If softcore soap opera porn had been your sexual awakening at thirteen, Keith had struck a match inside you, where you could finally explore your desires, where it could be more than satisfying a craving.
Keith snaps his hips into yours.
“Fuck! Keith,” you moan, praising him, “you feel so good.”
Once he starts, he goes for it. Carrying you, Keith controls the pace, fucking you. He thrusts fast, needing this just as much as you do. Your body arches into his. You couldn’t get enough. You kiss his nape, you scratch his back as he strokes your pussy with his cock, your legs around his waist, pulling him further into you.
“Right there, right there!” You squeeze your eyes shut, burning up like you had back when you'd had to run for three hours straight for training.
He slams into you.
You don’t last.
“Keith,” you whine, coming. The tip of your nose burns. A numbing warmth floods your system.
He keeps going, chasing his own orgasm.
You cling to Keith, pulling on his hair, overcome with a pleasure you didn’t even know was possible. Fuck. You have no clue what’s going on. It’s just him. You and Keith. The wet sounds of sex mixing with his moans.
His thrusts become sloppy right before his grip on your thighs tightens, his nails digging into your skin before he comes inside you.
“Shit,” he whines.
Keith’s come fills you up.
Your chest heaves.
Finally, Keith lowers you down.
You try to stand, putting your weight back on your feet, and nearly fall over.
“I’ve got you,” Keith steadies you, “I’ve got you.”
His come drips down your thighs.
“You better,” you laugh, then smile all fucked out, “I’m not exactly easy to carry.” You were built sturdy, muscles from training and all the slices of cake you’d treated yourself to during late night study sessions and after exams.
Keith noses at your cheek. “It was easy,” he says matter of factly.
He was a very literal person.
“Well it was incredibly sexy,” you reply, “but I think I need to lay down before I fall over.”
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” you gaze into his expressive eyes, “you were really good. I’ve been so freaking horny lately.”
He frowns, helping you get to your bed.
“Since we slept together…”
You promptly collapse on your back.
“Yeah,” you shrug, looking up at the slate mauve metal, “usually I just ghost the hell out of someone. It’s-I don’t know. Walk of shame I guess?” You look over at him as Keith sits up on his knees on the edge of the bed, looking down, tracing your body with his intense gaze.
“I wouldn’t know.”
“Huh,” you try to use your brain. You were smart. Command track. Maybe not pilot, but making people work together was an art. “Not a fan of one night stands?”
Keith ducks his head, his fingers ghosting over your knee but not quite touching you. He was suspended between fleeing and giving into you entirely. “I’ve never been with anyone.”
“Could have fooled me,” you reach out a hand towards him, suddenly wanting to hold him against your chest.
Keith smiles.
He had such a wonderful smile, fringe falling into his eyes as he meets your searching gaze. “I was never really interested in anyone.” He frowns and you can see him thinking.
“Come here,” you ask him, wanting to cuddle.
The chill of the room was getting to you.
A heat simmered in your core.
Keith kisses your knee again, settling between your legs once again. You draw your legs up, planting your feet on the bed, opening yourself up to him again. He draws lower, kissing your leg, his breath sending a shiver down your back as you sensed him close to the apex of your thighs. “Do you want to go again?”
You’re sore. Your orgasm was just minutes ago but it feels like a lifetime. “Yeah. I want to.”
Keith runs his hands down your legs.
You reach out, intertwining your hands with his as he lays down over you, kissing your mouth. You tangle your tongue with his, tasting him again, exploring his mouth. For a while, that’s all it is. You and him making out. His hands warm against yours. It was sweet as warmth spread throughout your body.
Then Keith pulls back, casting off his jeans and boxers.
You sit upon your arms, watching as Keith strokes his cock with his hand. He was hard again. There was something more there but you couldn’t think as the heat in your core clouded your thoughts. You wanted to bury your nose in the crook of his neck, you wanted him inside you again.
He sits on his knees between your thighs, looking down at your, tracing the swell of your chest, taking your body in. “You’re so beautiful,” Keith tells you in a hushed whisper, biting his lip. “I want to see your boobs.”
You smirk conspiratorially, “go ahead then, take my bra off.” These were standard issue. You could get another ten in an hour if you needed them.
Keith’s breath stutters, as he takes the fabric with his hands and rips the front of your sports bra. The fabric comes apart in his hands like it’s a sheet of printer paper.
Your toes curl in anticipation.
You were never going to be able to have mediocre sex again.
He leans down, dragging his tongue over your breast, massaging your other with his hand. Keith runs his tongue over your nipple. You arch into his mouth, heat coiling in your core. He sucks on your nipple, taking your other nipple between his thumb and finger, pulling hard.
“KEith,” you whine.
“I want you so bad,” he tells you simply in his hoarse voice. “Mine, all mine.”
“You have me. Yours, so wet for you.”
He lines his cock up with your entrance and slides into you again.
Keith doesn’t wait, thrusting into you as he latches onto your breast once again, his hands on your hips, digging into the flesh and bone and urging you to move with him. He nips the flesh you your breast. He kisses the valley of your breasts with a tenderness that contrasts with how hard he snaps your hips into yours. “So good, you feel so fucking good,” Keith moans, filling the room with the sounds of his moans and whines, your names on his lips like a litany.
“AAh,” you whine, clinging to his shoulders, scratching his back as you feel heat build up from your core, under your skin. It’s an electric current that has you squirming under Keith, from his ministrations.
“Come here,” you pull on his hair, “kiss me.”
His lips meet yours and you moan into his mouth.
It’s quick fumbling.
He finds his rhythm.
You lose yourself in Keith, the smell of him cloying. You’ve never smelled anyone better. No cologne could measure up.
His hair thick under your fingertips.
He thrusts hard into you.
The bed is bolted down but the force of his thrusts makes the mattress creak. You shudder. Your skin is on fire. He’s warm. Your breath mixes with his.
There’s a sheen of sweat on his back.
Keith’s cock strokes the right spot inside you and your pussy clenches. “Right there, oh god!” You squeeze your eyes shut, your pussy throbbing. Fuck. His cock felt so good. Keith was so good.
He listens to you.
Over and over.
You don’t last, tipping over the edge. Pleasure. Your brain short circuits. Vision going white as waves of euphoria wash over you and you go limp on the bed, lost in fucked out moans.
Keith pulls out, coming on your belly with pornographic moans.
If this was the Garrison, someone would’ve called the RA already.
Fuck.
He lays down next to you, his expression glazed over.
You try and catch your breath.
“Are you sure this is your first time,” you ask him, your voice strained from all the moans you’ve made. “Mine was sad dry humping!”
Keith snorts, caressing the side of your arm with his hand. “I wouldn’t go around telling people that.”
“Well,” you shrug, unashamed, “you’re come’s all over me so. . .”
“Do you want something to clean up with,” he sits up.
“Come back,” you whine. You didn’t want Keith to go. Your chest tightens at the thought. You wanted the blanket of intimacy that way lying down next to someone after sex. The talking didn’t matter, just having him there, the heat of his body, hearing him breathe.
Keith does, laying down on his side, facing you.
Red rises in his cheeks.
You take off your ripped bra and use it to wipe your belly and thighs clean, crumpling up the scraps of fabric and tossing it across the room. “The fabric was itchy anyway.”
He laughs.
You smile, tired.
You shift on the bed, mirroring Keith. You lay on your side, gazing at him. You could see the red trails your nails had left behind. It was a core tingling pleasure, a satisfaction knowing you’d done that.
Keith lets his eyes fall closed. He makes little back of the throat sounds that remind you of a kitten.
You close your eyes.
You listen to his even breaths. You listen to the lulling rumbling sounds from Keith’s chest, sounds no human could make.
When you wake up, you’re slick with sweat. The room is oppressively cold. Your skin is too hot.
Keith whines. “I need you,” he rests his forehead against yours, “I need you so bad.”
“Come here,” you cup his cheeks. You kiss the corner of his mouth. You trail kisses down his throat as you straddle his waist.
His cock is hard against you.
You lift your hips, sucking a kiss on his chest as you slide onto his cock. He moans. You draw more noises out of him, grinding your wet pussy against the head of his cock.
Keith’s hands on your hips urge you down, “I need you pussy! I need to be in you,” he whines impatiently.
The heat under your skin is unbearable but you draw it out, “I know baby, I know,” you tell him, “I’m going to take care of you.” You slowly lower yourself onto his cock, moaning as he stretches you out. You’re already soaking wet. Ready for him.
“Fuck,” you moan, clowing your eyes, throwing your head back, overcome with pleasure as you sank down entirely on his cock.
“OH.” Keith clutches at your breasts with his hands.
You anchor yourself on his chest. He was lean like most people in the rebellion from the fighting and questionable food available. Space food wasn’t bad, just not the most appealing. The lights were still on. Private areas were in a perpetual energy saver mood, everything bathed in red, still enough for your weak human eyes to see.
He was so sexy under you. His expression pure rapture as he lay with his head thrown back, biting his bottom lip, a complete goner for you.
Keith’s eyes glow Galran yellow.
He was not the first part Galra you’ve ever met.
You just hadn’t expected there to be any human-alien hybrids. . .yet.
“Fuck yourself on my cock,” Keith orders.
“God yes!”
You grind your hips against his. You lift your hips up and down, against his cock, moaning in bliss at the new angle. You weren’t so fast as you focused on working out the ache in the pit of your belly. The feverish warmth dies down as you fuck Keith.
Electricity sparks in your core as you ride him, chasing your pleasure, making him moan your name as he writhes on the bed under you. Keith’s hips thrust up to meet yours. His stamina never lapsed.
You bounce on his cock.
“Yes! Fuck!”
There was no eloquence as you fucked Keith and worked out all your sexual desires, your sexual frustration that came in waves as soon as your orgasm faded. Your spine curves as you lean down, kissing his chest, worshipping Keith, making him feel good.
His chest arches as you grind down on his cock.
“You look so good for me,” you utter, mind addled by the coiled heat in your core, “so fucking sexy.”
“Don’t stop,” Keith drags his fingers down your spine.
You shiver.
His nails scratch your skin softly. “Don’t stop!” His cock twitches inside you. His muscles flex under your hands. Keith grows taunt as a string pulled tight right before he comes in you.
“Fuck. Keith!”
You cry, you whine, you come on his cock.
You collapse on his chest.
The exhaustion and orgasm leaves you wrecked. You’re spent and fucked out. You want to curl up and never move again. His cock’s still inside you as his come dribbles out.
Keith rubs the curve of your spine softly. “Sh, sh,” he soothes tenderly.
You rest your cheek against his chest, catching your breath. You felt lightheaded. Your body was heavy like a towel dragged down by water.
His chest rises and falls with each deep breath.
“What time is it,” you ask him, curiously. It was impossible to tell inside the room. Your coms was in your jumpsuit pocket and you weren’t moving.
“I don’t know.” He admits.
“Got anywhere to be,” you ask Keith. “With Voltron and all. . .”
“Shiro or Allura will com me,” he explains. “‘M not really the one with the big plans. I think Allura coordinates with some generals or presidents.” He frowns, thinking. “Why? You want me to leave.”
“No,” you whisper softly, “stay. Stay with me.”
Keith makes a noise from the back of his throat. “What about you?”
“I should be cleared by the time the next supply run comes through. I don’t know from there. I guess wherever they need me.”
“Yeah. I get that.” He sighs thoughtfully. “I know there’s tactics and a plan to free ‘strategic’ allies but a lot of it is just answering distress signals.”
“Do you ever miss earth,” you ask him.
“Sometimes.”
“I miss my family,” you admit. “But I don’t know, I couldn’t sit and hope the people fighting the war. . .I couldn’t sit back.”
“Shiro’s my brother,” Keith tells you, “he’s all I really have.”
“Does it make it easier?”
“I’d like to visit Earth again,” he says wistfully, “But. . .I like being a part of Voltron. I wouldn’t go back forever.”
“Even after the war?”
He nods, carding his fingers through your hair. It’s tangled to hell and back. It’s nice. You lean into his touch, realizing how much you’d missed this closeness with another person.
It wasn’t the same with rebels out of need. Your role kept you on the move. You didn’t really have brothers in arms. You’d sneak into places, carry messages, and go.
You wanted to stay in this room with Keith forever.
“People’ll always need help.”
“I guess you’re right.” you hadn’t thought too hard about what you’d do after the war. Surviving was your main focus at the moment. The galaxy garrison was blown out of the water now that you had crossed the stars, and had been to so many strange planets with different species. “And you get to pilot,” you grin.
Keith’s laugh fills the room. “And I get to pilot.” He’s quiet for a moment before adding, “I held the Garrison record on all the flight sims and Moon training.” He’s smug as he tells you.
“No way! Really?” You weren’t a pilot so you don't even know what their training is like. You’d only done emergency piloting 101 same as every cadet.
“You can ask Lance.” There’s a joke there somewhere.
“Who?”
Keith laughs again.
“Tell me,” you whine.
“The Blue Paladin.”
You lift your head. “Veronica’s brother?” You’d last seen her months ago now. Seeing a human was a luxury that had you making quick friends just because you were able to understand the mindfuck of having learned only a handful of years ago how wide the universe was, about all the lifeforms, about Zarkon.
He laughs again, “I need you to meet Lance.”
“Okay, it’s a date.”
Keith smiles down at you. Your heart flutters at the sight. You find yourself dreading having to leave him.
He shifts.
His cock was still half hard inside you.
“Again,” you ask bemused.
“We don’t half to,” Keith tells you even though it’s clear he wants to. His hands run down your sides. His hands cover your ass, the touch of his fingers against your skin reawakening a hunger in your core. You wanted him. Again. You just didn’t want to move.
“I’m flattered,” you tease. “But I don't think I can move.”
“I’ll take care of you,” he tells you, “let me make you feel good.”
You snort. “So eager.”
“Hm?” Keith frowns bashfully, stilling.
“Like I said,” you assure him, feeling a familiar ache in your pussy at the thought of fucking him again, “I’m flattered. It’s very sexy. You’re sexy.” Being this desired was sexy.
He flushes red, but rolls you both over all the same.
You lay on you back, looking up at him.
“Here,” Keith is gentle, guiding you over until you're on your chest. He lifts your hips. “Fuck,” Keith runs his fingers over your slit. “I want you so fucking much.”
“Because I’m sexy ,” you tease.
“Because you’re sexy,” he nods, punctuating his words with the dip of his fingers into your pussy. “And beautiful. And you didn’t even know me but you still stopped to make sure I was okay.”
The warmth in your chest has nothing to do with the ache in your core.
Keith slams his cock into you. With every thrust of his hips, you’re pressed against the bed. He grips your hair roughly, kissing the back of your neck.
He nips at the back of your ear, growing more confident the more times he fucks you.
Keith snaps your hips against your ass.
“Fuck,” you moan, already worked up. You’re so sensitive. You have no clue how time is passing but your aching pussy doesn’t take long for you to build up to your peak as he fucks you against the bed. “Keith! So good. . .fuck.” Your toes curl.
Your hands clutch at your sheets for dear life.
It’s not enough. Not when Keith slaps his hand against your ass and fuck, you come. The sound of skin slapping skin as Keith fucks into you with an urgency that matches his brutal pace. You’re surprised but you shouldn’t be. You’d asked him to be rough with you.
Your vision grows black spots as you squirm under him, pussy clenching around his cock. “Keith,” you whine, overstimulated and boneless with pleasure.
He keeps going.
He pounds into you.
You moan into the sheets.
And finally, Keith comes.
“Are you on birth control,” Keith asks after you lose count of how many times he’s come inside you.
You nearly choke, couching, while lowering your water canteen. “Keith,” you whine, “a bit late if I’m not.”
Both his eyebrows rise in terrified surprise.
You laugh at him. “Yes. I didn’t exactly want to find out who humans can reproduce with,” you tell him, which was true. The shot was an easy choice, once a year.
Keith visibly relaxes.
You laugh at him, “I would've said something.”
“I know,” he nods, having learned first hand how easily you found asking and communicating. You had the command-type of personality. Personable, and friendly. Caring too which was just as important.
Keith traces his fingers over bruises the shape of his hands on your outer leg where he’d dug his fingers in as he’d fucked you. “Do you have something to eat?” It was the first inkling that he’d grown tired from the marathon sex you were having with him.
“Bring me back something too.”
He whines, pulling you into his chest. You rest your back against his chest, offering him the water canteen. “I have water.”
“Thanks.” Keith drinks down some water.
His cock pokes at your back.
You try to smooth back your hair, twirling it together to get it under control.
He puts the canteen down. “Do you want me to get you something,” Keith asks, not making the slightest move to leave. You did feel angry, but. . .
“After,” you turn around, taking his cock in your hand and smirking up at him.
He leans back against the headboard, his violet eyes trained on you as you lower your mouth onto his cock. You swirl your tongue over the tip. You hadn’t done this in a while so who knew how this would go.
A com chimes.
It wasn’t yours.
“Ignore it,” he tells you, his voice strained.
“If you say so,” you sing-song, pressing a kiss to the tip of his cock before taking his cock fully into your mouth. You hollow your cheeks, pumping your hand along his shaft. You steady yourself with a hand on his thigh.
Keith moans.
You swallow as much of his cock as you can take, swirling your tongue along his cock loving all the noises he made, coming undone under your touch.
He cards his fingers through your hair, his hips thrusting shallowly as he tried not to move but couldn’t help it. Keith caresses your cheek as you hum around his cock, bobbing your head up and down his cock. You cup his balls with your hand gently.
The com chimes again but Keith could care less when you go down on his cock as far as you can go. His cock in the back of your throat and your eyes sting as you breathe through your nose for a few seconds before pulling back.
“Fuck,” he whimpers, “don’t stop,” he whines as you suck on the tip of his cock, stroking his cock with you hand. “Don’t stop!”
Keith curls a hand around your throat, his grip firm, feeling the way you worked his cock as you bobbed your head, sucking on him.
He can’t hold back, thrusting into your mouth.
You take his cock, working him as he twitches in your mouth. You’d only known him for a few days, or maybe hours, you didn’t know anymore, time had lost its meaning in the glow of red lights, but it had been a condensing of getting to know someone. You knew the sounds he made when he was about to come, you knew how to read when he pulled back and needed reassurance and the gleam in his eyes before he said something insanely smug.
Keith comes in your mouth.
You swallow as much as you can as his com chimes once again.
It still spills from your mouth as you pull back.
“It’s unreal how into you I am,” Keith tells you, wiping his come off your chin with his hand.
You hold out a finger, catching your breath, swallowing. “I know what you mean.” It wasn’t just the sex. At least, you didn’t think it was.
You’d have kicked a one night stand out long ago.
You would’ve turned the lights out if it was just some rando.
“Now food,” you tell him. And then it’s like unlocking something. You realize you’re starving.
Sex took up a lot of energy.
“Ok, okay,” Keith heaves, kissing your cheek, “what do you like?”
“Pizza but I’ll settle for something that doesn’t taste like cardboard, or have the consistency of slime.”
“Tough order.”
“I know.”
Keith hums thoughtfully as you rest against him, “how about slime that doesn’t have the consistency of slime.”
“Goop.”
“Mhm,” he nods, “though I’m going to need you to get off me or I’ll never get up.”
You reach up to scratch a spot behind his ear softly.
Keith melts, starting to purr unabashedly.
Suddenly, he growls.
You frown.
A second later someone knocks hard on your door.
“Mullet!” They knock again, this time joined by another higher pitched voice that reminded you very much of a chorus of worried relatives, “Number four! It has been two quintants since your last communication-”
“Pick up your phone!”
You look up at Keith. He looked like any twenty year old you knew. Still more of a teenager than an adult, you knew the feeling well, but he was also a Paladin of Voltron. People actually needed to know where he was. People cared.
You were just a nameless person in the rebellion, a nebulous network of systems; an amalgamation of governing bodies looking to get out from under the Galra Empire. People had died next to you. You didn’t even know who to tell. Who to contact.
You swallow the lump forming in your throat.
Keith absently rubs your side in silent comfort. His gaze hasn’t moved from the door. The tension in his shoulders has brought out the phosphorescent yellow of his eyes.
“We know you’re there!” More loud knocking, obnoxious in a way that means they’re doing it on purpose, “It took Pidge like two seconds to hack your com!”
“Number-”
“Keith,” you ask. Two days! No wonder you felt like you were starving.
“Wait here,” he untangles himself from you.
You nod, reaching to wrap the blanket that had fallen by the wayside since who knows when around you. You usually left the covers off to air out the bed while you went about your day. You hadn’t made your bed since before Keith had come into your room.
He pulls his shirt on, shoving his legs into his pants as he goes to the door.
They haven’t stopped knocking, coming up with more and more obnoxious ways to get his attention, but the words go straight through his head. Keith is harsh tension lines, pencil pressing down so hard it rips the paper.
His eyes are still more yellow than violet.
Keith slides the door open a crack.
“Finally,” the voice outside huffs, immediately trying to come inside.
You pull the blanket tighter, very aware of the mess you must be. Shower sex had happened. You just didn’t know when exactly. Your hair wasn’t wet.
Keith doesn’t budge.
Definitely growling.
“Are you growling at me,” the voice outside cries offended, “me! Lance! Your buddy!”
You knew enough about Galra to know growling, like with terran animals, generally signifies anger, fear, possessiveness. Not that you dealt with Galra. Sentries were more common in the places you ended up.
“Lance,” Keith grits out, blocking your view of the door.
“Is that! That is sex hair!”
“Lance,” Keith groans in annoyance.
The door starts opening wider.
“Lance!” Keith shoves Lance hard.
“Oh.” The other person speaks up, “Number 3, I shall see you in a jiffy! Ha, my terran lingo.”
“Coran-”
“Go-”
“Keith,” the second person goes, “lad, can we talk?”
“Why.”
“I think you know why,” a pause, “or should I call Shiro? If that-”
“No! No. Come in,” Keith lets a red headed alien inside.
You wave awkwardly.
“Ah, pleased to meet you. I am Coran,” the alien waves at himself. There were glowing marks on his face but that was far from the strangest thing you’ve seen. “Right,” he claps his hands together, “there comes a time in every young Galra’s life-”
You stifle a laugh.
“Coran,” Keith covers his face with his hands. And yeah, Lance was right, Keith looked a proper mess.
The alien clears his throat, “right, let’s speed this up shall we, well, at sexual maturity Galra begin to release pheromones to let other Galra know-”
“I think I’m good,” Keith manages.
“I’m not Galra,” you point out, which was true.
“No. Yes.” Coran clears his throat, politely averting his eyes from you and finding a spot on the ceiling to stare at, “the way these pheromones work is by affecting those in proximity. . .compatible persons.”
“So this isn’t real.”
You press your lips together as everything you had noticed starts making sense.
“Not true Number four,” Coran says sympathetically, “the connection goes both ways or nothing would happen. As it is, you’ve gone into heat. My nose is not quite up to it, so no one noticed or else I would have explained all this beforehand.”
You watch Keith’s expression change as he thinks through this information.
You let him. But you ask Coran some pointed questions, “How long does this last? Or is this permanent? And what do you mean by it goes both ways?”
“Lasts around one movement to two movements,” the redhead ticks off on his fingers, “that is for you and Number four to decide. Certain physiological changes are made such a hunger suppression.”
You nod.
Coran glances at Keith who still looks like he wants to vent himself into space. “I will bring you two food and water. Yes.” He does thumbs up with both hands and strategically flees.
“I’m such a freak.” Keith says, dismayed as he sits on the edge of your bed. “Fuck.”
“I don’t think you’re a freak,” you say, moving so you can kiss his cheek. “I really like you. And if you want. . .I’d like to see you again. . .only if-”
Keith kisses you softly. “I’d like that.”

AO3 LINK! | tickletober 2021 day 1: CHASE.
Tumblr media
voltron: legendary defender | klance | words : 2572
“Oh, don’t let me stop you. Keep singing.” With a tone much too amused and muscular figure leaned against the door frame, Keith’s eyes have locked on his boyfriend who’s settled at the countertop, chopping up onions for their lunch. His ears were previously graced with the melodic & upbeat notes of Lance’s singing before he halted as soon as he noticed Keith’s presence, cheeks dusting over in a soft shade of cherry at having been caught.
"You snuck up on me! Y'know, all that Blade of Marmora training has made you seriously light on your feet, you're too quiet when you walk up on people--" Lance complains, obviously trying to shift the attention off of his virtuoso vocals, but Keith isn't falling for the trick. He merely grants the other a shrug, stepping further into the kitchen to peer down at the meal he was preparing before the interruption. It was a newer dish, something that Lance had talked about trying to cook before and though Keith rarely indulged in foreign grounds when it came to what he ate, Lance was a decent cook and he's willing to try anything for him. After a once-over of the food, he twists to match his gaze with Lance with Lance again, a small smirk now presented half-cocked upon his lips.
"Being quiet has its advantages," is his rebuttal, arms crossing along the width of his chest as he gently knocks a shoulder against his love's. "You can keep complaining about it if you do it in song."
A silent curse leaks out with the sensation of heat that strengthens on the surface of Lance's cheeks, half-tempted to run into the next room and half-tempted to actually take Keith up on his offer. Complaining while singing truthfully sounds sort of hilarious and maybe Lance might've considered it had he not been ambushed by the other, but the abashment that's welled up in the center of his stomach has stolen the reigns from his usual confidence and is keeping his vocal chords locked and twisted. At this point, he's temporarily canceled prepping lunch and his new focus lies on a getaway. Sapphire sight slowly inches from where Keith stands to the archway that connects into the living room, calculating the distance to it from his own feet and weighing the risks. Keith, however, is a warrior, and a highly trained one at that, so as soon as he notices Lance's fixed stare towards the living room, his smirk widens and his own stance alters.
"C'mon loverboy, don't make me chase you down. You know I'm faster than you." There it is. A challenge. A challenge to his Leo boyfriend, who's neatly sculpted eyebrows perk and furrow and his lips twitch at the corners.
"You're funny, Keith. The only one way you'd be faster than me, is if you tap into that cat-like Galran side of you and get on all fours. Stronger than me? Sure, maybe -- but not faster." Lance knows he just spit some fighting words, and judging by the slightly surprised, oh no he did not just say what I think he said look, Keith was about to square up. It was silent for a moment that dragged on like an hour, until Keith cements a stare at Lance and for a split second, Lance could swear he saw his pupils slit just like a feline.
"You get five seconds."
"Wha--"
"Run."
Lance did not need to be told twice. As soon as he heard that single word practically growled from his boyfriend, he sprang into a nearly full sprint into the living room. Keith kept his words and after 5 seconds, rocketed off after Lance. By the time he had an open view of the room, Lance was nowhere to be seen. He paused, rummaging through his thoughts to figure out where Lance might have escaped to next. He figures their bedroom would be a good place to start, plenty of the places to try and hide in there; try, being the operative word there. He enters the shared sleeping space and, just to tease Lance thoroughly in case he was hiding in there, starts to tap his nails on the walls and other hard surfaces, knowing damn well the clicks and clacks will echo.
"Oh, Laaance.." the swordsman practically coos, feigning an innocent tonality all the while checking under the bed and in their closet for his prey. "You know I'm not gonna hurt you. I wouldn't ever hurt you. But you do need to be punished for what you said."
Lance can hear him. He can hear him and Keith knows that he can. Their apartment isn't very generous with running room and hiding spaces, so he's taken refuge in their master bathroom. He nearly scoffs at Keith's statements; he knows Keith wouldn't hurt him, not intentionally, but that's not what he's worried about. He knows what those clickity clacks mean. The surface of his skin is already tingling and he's biting back a grin, hands smoothing over the goosebumps popping up along his arms. He could speak lies and say he hates when Keith does this, but they both know the truth: Lance thrives on it. Every tap of his nails drives Lance insane and he can feel his body trying to gravitate towards the sound, but he refuses to give in and admit defeat. Keith challenged him, so it's on.
He's dragging his nails now, goddammit, and he's getting closer. Those silent steps aren't so silent anymore and Keith's doing that on purpose. He wants Lance to hear him coming; it's all part of the chase. Thankfully though, their bathroom contains a door that opens up to the hallway, so if he times it right, he can get past without him hopefully noticing. Slowly, nearly holding his breath, Lance scoots to the second door and ever so gently turns the handle to minimize any sound and opens the door. A quick peek tells him that it's safe, but as soon as he fully exits the bathroom and begins his quiet tread through the hall, Keith appears behind him from their bathroom, running towards him. Lance yelps and his reaction is immediate, making a break for the living room once again. He jumps onto the couch and grabs a pillow, deciding to fend off his hunter with a weapon instead of continuing to run.
"En guard!" Comes his battle cry as Keith reaches him and narrowly misses the swing of a cushion at his head.
"That's a dirty play, McClain!" He manages to say before he gets uppercut with a cushion and it's as if the world goes into absolute silence. Lance hadn't really meant to smack him like that, but the damage has already transpired, so all he can do is gently place the couch cushions back to their proper home, all the while observing with fright behind his eyes as Keith's visage lowers back down to look at him. He says nothing, amethyst sight blank, but he does start to move towards Lance, which has the taller scooting backwards on the couch, palm outstretched as if that were to quell Keith's wrath any.
"Keith -- Keith, babe, baby, look at me -- you know I didn't mean to do that, I swear--!" But Keith still doesn't utter a single syllable, even as he climbs atop and straddles Lance's hips. He then moves to grab some of the mini pillow cushions nearest Lance's head, one in each hand, and Lance's eyes widen, remembering a time when Pidge pulled this on him herself, except she used vinyl, elbow - length gloves. Keith's method is unorthodox, but Lance is sure it's gonna tire him out all the same.
"Keith! No! No, no, no, no--!" But his pleas are no use. Raising the small pillows into the air, it isn't a second later that Keith starts to rapidly smack Lance's upper body with them. It's a furious barrage, one arm raining down a strike right after it's counterpart. If this was an action movie, and pillows were bullets shot out of a gun, this would be absolutely brutal. Fortunately for Lance, these soft, fluffy pillows don't hurt anywhere near a bullet wound. In fact, he's grinning all the while, limbs held askew above his head as a shield.
"Now this is a dirty play, Kogane! Fight me like a real man!" And Lance is about to regret those words, because as soon as Keith hears him, he halts his assault and tosses the pillows to the side, eyes glinting dangerously.
"Oh, I'm just getting started." Now unoccupied hands shift to settle on Lance's sides and instantaneously, Lance knew he was fucked.
"Woahwoahwoah, no! No, now this is really foul--!"
"Sucks to suck."
"FIRST of all, I'm the one who taught you that saAAhahah--!" Keith's heard enough prattling out of Lance, it's time to hear some of that sweet, hilarious laughter now. Fingers scribble over the clothed flesh of his sides and waist and that already gets him into giggling hysterics. Keith will always be pleasantly surprised at just how ticklish Lance is. Nearly every inch of him is sensitive to something and it never fails to gift him with serotonin when he's got Lance beneath him, rosy cheeked, squirming around, and laughing his heart out - much like he is now.
"Nohohohoho! Keh--Keheheheith! Stahahahahap!" His pleas are broken apart by giggles that are only raising in volume the more his sides are attacked and he's only growing further sensitive by the second. Lance knows his religiously vigorous skin care routine is partly to blame for how ticklish he is, but can you blame him for wanting soft, youthful skin? And it isn't like Keith's complaining about it either.
"Nah, I don't think I can. My fingers are under some sort of spell." Such a blatant lie from the older pilot and the grin he dons is unmistakably teasing.
"Yo--you're suhuhuch a lihahahahahar!"
"What? I'm offended. I'm not lying at all. In fact, I'll tell you an easy way to break the spell and get me to the stop."
"Gohohohohohod! Fiiiiihihihine, OKAY, okahahahy!" Lance is really beginning to struggle, squeals forcing themselves free as Keith migrates from waist, to stomach, and then to his ribs, poking & scritching between each one in an agonizing manner. "Aaahahahahaha! Tell---tell mehehehehe alreadyyyy!"
"You really wanna know?"
Lance's strength is sapping quicker than he'd like it to, but he still possesses enough of it to gently smack at Keith's arm, his giggles evolving into full blown laughter once those dastardly fingers begin reaching towards his armpits in retaliation.
"All you gotta do is sing. Like, that one red-headed princess, to break a spell that was on her, or whatever." The fact that Keith really provided a Disney comparison to Lance's current predicament is hilarious all on its own, but Lance wasn't about to give into this torture, and deliver what Keith desired so easily.
"Hohohohow is -- i-is ticklihihihing me suhuhpposed to make me wahahahant to SING?? B-Besides, a kihihihihiss broke Ahahariel's spell, not -- not singihihihihihing!" Poor Lance, with his cracking voice and breathy, hollow words that could scarcely be understood through all of his laughter. Keith understood the gist of it though and contemplated his conditions. He still wanted Lance to sing to him, but a kiss sounded pretty nice too. However, he isn’t quite finished with his boyfriend’s torture; there’s still one last area he very much wants to explore before he allows Lance free. Spidering digits cease their actions, smoothing up and then down the expanse of Lance’s toned torso, granting him a desperately needed, albeit quick rest. Lance doesn’t speak, merely taking this opportunity in stride to gulp down as much air as he can, because a minute part of him knows Keith isn’t done and that something wicked this way comes.
Something wicked indeed. After some very short-lived moments of repose, without skipping a beat, Keith breaks into full force tickling all over the surface of Lance’s soft thighs. The first and last thing to run through Lance’s mind is a sharp curse to himself for deciding that today was a good day to wear shorts. Keith has an all access pass to one of his death spots and he is allowing no mercy. They’re certainly going to get a noise complaint from their neighbors ( not that Keith cares ), because the inhumane screech that burst from the tunnel of Lance’s throat could probably be heard blocks away.
“K---KEEEHEHEHEHEHITH!! NO! NOHOHO, NOT RIGHT THEHEHEHEHRE! PLEHEHEHEASE, AHAAAHAHAHAHNYTHING BUT THERRRRE--!” the couch has been shaved of all of its cushions by flailing, lengthy limbs and even Keith is having trouble keeping atop of Lance, what with all of his wriggling and buckling.
“Geez, Lance, you almost sound like I’m killin’ you.” Keith’s grin is now from ear to ear, more than enjoying himself, the view, and his love’s ridiculously adorable laughter.
“YOU AHAHAHAHARRRRE!! PLEEEEHEHEHEHASE!” But it’s only when Lance deflates into silent laughter, arms going limp against the couch underneath him, that Keith finally concludes his torture. Calloused hands remove themselves from the slender frame and he completely slides off of Lance, disappearing into the kitchen. Unbothered by Keith’s abrupt departure, Lance soaks up every single second of relaxation he can, until he glances up once he hears footsteps, and sees the water bottle Keith’s offering. Smiling a little weakly, Lance sits up, releasing a few lingering giggles as the movement of his still hyper - sensitive upper body brings forth some ghost touches.
“Alright, time to break your spell.” Keith’s statement is oh so cheeky and as he leans forward, waiting for Lance to close the distance, he half expects Lance to do anything but kiss him. A pleasant surprise is given to him when he feels those familiar, supple lips intertwining with his own, and he smiles into it. The kiss lasts for a couple of seconds before Lance pulls away and eyes Keith, brow rising along his temple.
“Guess whose job it is to prepare lunch now?”
A roll of lavender eyes, but he holds out his hand nonetheless. “Yeah, yeah. I tired you out, so I guess it’s mine. I don’t know how to make what you were making though.”
Lance takes the hand that’s offered and ascends from the couch, bending to start picking up the collapsed couch cushions. “Go on into the kitchen, I’ll be right behind you to boss you around.” Keith snorts a quickle chuckle, but does as instructed, making his way back into the kitchen. He nearly stops as something catches his ears, a heavy warmth blooming in his chest. Lance sings more than loud enough for Keith to hear him, even as he’s waiting in the kitchen. He continues singing, once all of the cushions are placed back in their proper place, and as he finally enters the kitchen. He saunters up to Keith, sight locked with sight, a hand on his chest, happiness brimming in the way he sings.
“♪ Maybe this love is mad, you're filling every thought I have. Now I've stayed too long, and there's no turning back. Might as well dance.~ ♪” As if on cue, Keith takes his hand and spins him, earning an even more brilliant smile from Lance, and he lands softly against Keith, arms coiling around his neck to bring him back in for another kiss. Suddenly, lunch doesn’t matter so much anymore.

Analyzing Illumi Zoldyck's Character
Chrollo Analysis | Hisoka Analysis | Killua Analysis
What’s up yall! Sorry for being away for the last few days. I needed a break from social media because I am so tired of seeing toxic, self-righteous people on my TL. Anyway, quite a lot of you liked my posts about analyzing HxH characters and somehow comparing them to VLD characters. Today, I’ll be talking about Illumi Zoldyck and I’ll try to compare him to a Voltron character. I know many people have already analyzed this character before, but it wouldn’t hurt to add to the discussion some years later. If you want me to write about anything else, send me an ask! The formatting of this post may be different than the one I wrote about Hisoka Morrow (click his name to view that post).
HERE WE GO!
In the first season, all of the characters are contestants for the Hunter’s Exam. I say contestants because this is a contest to see who can win without any injuries and can keep up with each host. I forget what number stage they were at, but I do know they were at the stage where each opponent has to fight each other. They are declared the winner if their opponent forfeits or gives up mid-match. (Off-topic, but) I am going, to be honest; Gon was my favorite character but his flaws began to show, annoyed me, and later led to his horrific downfall (based from YouTube clips). He didn’t know when to stop and kept pushing himself over the limit. Anyway, Killua and Gittarackur are set to fight. This is when things take a turn for the worse.
Gittarackur is a form of a disguise for Illumi to mask his identity. His face is long; nearly (and reminds me of) in the shape of a Tiki. His face also reminds me of the Witch Doctor mask from Scooby-Doo and Hell-raiser. He has several pins stuck in his face to maintain the facial features of Gittarackur. On the flip side, if he removes the pins, his biological form is revealed. Once he does this, Killua is nearly paralyzed; he cannot believe his eyes and I’m sure the trauma he endured at home hit him like a sack of rocks. Illumi then tells Killua that he wants him to return home, that he cannot maintain a friendship with Gon, stated that he was going to kill Gon, but realizes that if he does so he will be disqualified and will not obtain his Hunter’s license.
I’m assuming the cops aren’t a thing in this reality and the only way for them to “destroy” under the law is by obtaining the license. What do you think? I rarely see police officers; all I see are the Mafia and every they suck compared to the Zoldyck's and the Phantom Troupe. Shit, it seems like they’re the police but have twisted motives.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a fictional character or not, first impressions matter and he bombed this one...even for a villain.
But you did this for what?
How can you hypnotize (by using Nen) your own brother into killing another opponent because he doesn’t want to become an emotionless zombie like you? At least, that’s my perception. Telling your brother to run every time he faces an opponent that he knows he cannot win against is the sickest shit I’ve ever seen. I know I’m jumping around but another thought popped into my head. As the seasons go on, Illumi expresses an odd way of loving his younger brother and to him, that means to make him suffer in the same way he had to. It seems like Illumi is jealous of Gon in a way. (I’ve seen clips on YouTube) Killua takes Alluka to the hospital to heal Gon. Illumi has stated several times to Hisoka that Killua was hiding rules from him and that he still wanted to get rid of Alluka. Although it is clearly stated why he wanted Alluka gone, I still think that Illumi was jealous of Gon simply because his younger brother preferred to be with a friend instead of him. This is why he emphasizes “You cannot have friends. Either they will betray you or you’ll betray them.”
As I read and watched as the seasons went on, I noticed something about Illumi and his family. We all know that the children were raised by their parents. Specifically, their dad is a trained assassin. I can’t remember but I think Zeno is their grandfather who is also an assassin.
I view him as a character that has suffered from abuse and trauma in order to mold him into an assassin. He is emotionless, doesn’t really care for others, has an odd relationship with Killua that he doesn’t have for his other siblings, and is a hypocrite. Killua can’t be friends with Gon but every time the show cuts to him, he’s with Hisoka? Something is fishy there. Are they more than friends? OK, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk. Here's the physical analysis below.
Face
When masquerading as Gittarackur, his face has several pins in them and his hair is in a rock star form of Mohawk that is purple. I’ll give him 10/10 for uniqueness, yet it still reminded me of Hell Raiser.
Tumblr media
I’ve noticed that when he is in public he is in costume. Why doesn’t he reveal himself in public? I’ve researched this and no one could answer this question. My guess is that he is a verified hunter and assassin. How can you carry out your missions if everyone knows what you look like? Without the pins in his face, it reverts back to his natural state. To me, his large eyes and long, shiny black hair are his distinguished features. Although he may be my least favorite character, he does have pretty eyes. Haven’t you all heard of “I got lost in his/her eyes”?
Tumblr media
Yeah, that can be said about him. Most definitely. He rarely smiles and when he does, something BAD is going to happen. I saw him laugh crazily once Alluka began the healing process, the Nen (I guess) rose from the hospital and got on him. This scene reminds me of how Haggar reacted once the Komar’s quintessence bounced from Voltron and bounced onto her. Wow, these supernatural abilities make y’all feel that good?
Clothes
Gittarackur and Illumi wear the same clothes, which should be a clear giveaway that they are the same. Illumi wears a neural green short jacket that has yellow pins in them, a light green shirt underneath, and green pants. His shoes remind me of loafers with a heel on them, something my grandmother would wear.
Tumblr media
I’ve said this before and I’ll say again, these bad-ass men in this show are very stylish and seem to be in shape more than I am. Although Illumi irks me, his fashion is great and this is why people prefer him to be their favorite character. Shows should always produce characters that are memorable; that is the key to a long-lasting fan base.
In conclusion, this anime (for the most part) has well-rounded characters that make the plot interesting and wanting more.
Illumi and Lotor are somewhat similar. They both grew up in abusive households and lost some sense of sensitivity, common sense, and were often “misguided” by their own selfishness. Illumi wants a better life for Killua by constantly brainwashing him into thinking that he cannot have friends and his can only find happiness through killing. Zarkon raises Lotor to be a prince that shouldn't work with planets and should destroy them. This explains why he used deceased Alteans from the colony, drained their quintessence, and didn't give them a proper burial. Lotor IS just like his father but Killua IS NOT like Illumi. Ironic, huh? As we all know by now, Lotor is the son of Honerva (Haggar) and Zarkon. After the rift accident, he became an emotionless, ruthless monster that colonized and destroyed planets just to gain their quintessence. He taught this to his son and once he was old enough to think for himself, he refused to act in such a way. Although he was exiled and said he wasn’t like Zarkon, he was; but worse. Lotor studied and gained knowledge about Altea and its people while using Allura to gain the secrets of Oriande. I say he used her because he knew from the moment he met her that he was harvesting Altean quintessence. While fighting the white lion, he yelled “Victory or Death” which is a common catchphrase the Galra use when they are in battle. In fact, the Galra have been victims of trauma from Zarkon. Zarkon’s ruthless ways of ruling had no other motive except for obtaining quintessence so he could live forever. Silva’s way of raising his children was done to mold them into assassins. Since he was taught this way he did the same thing to his children. Zarkon, Silva, and Zeno think that their ways of parenting are necessary for survive in life when it doesn’t have to be that way. Illumi and Lotor have experienced this horrific parenting and deal with it in different ways. Illumi is oddly obsessive of his younger brother and Lotor is a fucking liar.
This analysis was fun! Next, I’ll be analyzing Killua and Keith Kogane.

Pirates
KL month day 6
Keith snaps a gold coin into the air, watching it spin until a hand snatches it out of the air. He turns to find Captain McClain grinning at him, the coin sliding between his fingers.
Lance looks no different from when Keith encountered him only two days ago. His hair is a touch curled from the salty breeze of the ocean. Hoop earrings dangle from his ears and move with every twist and turn of his head--quite distracting. A duster that has seen better days rests over a billowy white shirt, and a blue sash is tied around his waist, to give his outfit some color if it serves no other purpose. With one of his sleeves pushed up, Keith easily spots a compass tattoo on his inner right wrist but his eyes mostly remain fixated on his gold coin.
“Better watch your money, Captain Kogane,” Lance says when he leans in closer to Keith. He props an arm on the wall above Keith. “You don’t know what unsavory creatures will snag it from you.”
“Much like yourself.” Keith nods his head in acknowledgement. “Captain McClain.”
Lance’s smile becomes more genuine, and whatever tension he had been holding in his shoulders slides away. “Ah, so you remember me this time.”
“You made a much more permanent impression,” Keith says.
“A good one I hope.”
There is one difference to Lance’s appearance. This close and Keith can see light stubble along Lance’s jaw, like he was too busy to shave this morning, but Keith has feeling it was more of a purposeful choice. “I haven’t decided yet,” he replies before he forgets that he needs to.
Lance tilts his head; those earrings lean with him. “Is there anything I can help with?”
“Returning my money for starters.” Holding out his hand, Keith waits for Lance to take the hint. After a moment passes between them, Lance places the coin in his hand. “All of it,” Keith adds, unsatisfied.
His eyes stay locked onto Lance’s face, and he catches Lance’s mouth twitch in annoyance before it’s covered with an easy, tight lipped smile. Begrudgingly, Lance pulls out the coin purse he just pick-pocketed from Keith. It dangles from his fingertips, not quite resting in Keith’s palm.
“Can’t get anything past you, can I?” Lance comments, laughing a little at having been caught. The coin purse doesn’t move. A minute passes as he just stares at Keith, blinking. “You know, this would pay for the damages you caused to my ship.”
“Lance.”
“Fine.” The coin purse drops into Keith’s hand, and Keith hooks it back onto his belt before Lance decides to snatch it back. Lance taps his chest. “You still owe me.”
Keith scoffs. “I do not.”
“You do, but luckily for you, I’m short on time today.” Reaching up, Lance seems to hesitate for a moment but ends up tugging on a loose strand of hair that has fallen out of Keith’s bun and tucks it behind his ear. Only when Lance’s hand falls away does Keith feel the need to breathe again. “See you later, Keithy.” Lance salutes him and disappears into the crowd of the tavern.
Slowly, Keith returns to resting up against the wall and people watching. Once he knows Lance has left the tavern, he allows himself to grin. Next time… he can’t wait.
(But Lance does see it, and if Hunk and Pidge ask him why he has a little pep in his step when he makes it back aboard his ship, he doesn’t tell them.)

🌟 After a long time of waiting, you came to me. After years of being alone, I can breathe again. The sight of you sparks thoughts I’ve never tried to have. Of living. Of a home. Of friends.

Who are you?

Whumptober 2020 - Day 18
We’ve got a pretty good mix of physical and emotional whump going on today, though I’d say it leans more toward emotional. A little bit of Shiro, yet another original alien race (how many does that make now this month? I feel like it’s a lot), and plenty of angst to go around. This is one of my favorite Keith headcanons, so I’m glad I got the chance to explore it.

Day 18 - Panic Attacks/Phobias
Fandom: Voltron: Legendary Defender
Warnings: fire, panic attacks, flashbacks, referenced minor character death, disassociation, scars
The first time that Red shot out a long stream of fiery lava, obliterating a nearby Galra ship, Keith had gone stiff, images of flames flashing through his mind in rapid succession until everything went blank. He spent the rest of the battle with his body piloting by rote while his consciousness hid somewhere in the back corner of the cockpit, watching.
He wasn’t just the Red Paladin, he’d come to realize later. He was the Paladin of Fire.
Because of course he was. That was just how Keith’s life worked.
When Sendak attacked the Arusian’s village, the sight of the burning houses sent pain shooting through Keith’s hands and shoulder. He had wanted to disassociate then, too, so badly. His brain screamed at him to let it retreat, to not have to watch the flickering orange tongues that brought back so many painful memories. But he was a Paladin of Voltron. There was no way he could let himself be defeated by something as stupid as fire. Lance would never let him live it down if he froze where others could see, and Princess Allura was counting on him to do his job right. He had to prove himself. They needed to know they weren’t making a mistake in trusting him.
So he had plunged forward, going closer to the flames than he probably should have, shoving everything down, down, down until it was out of reach for the moment. And immediately after that it was constant activity, trying to get back into the Castle to defeat Sendak and save the others, so he didn’t have time to remember, to think about what he had done, until it was much later and he was lying in his bed, trying to sleep.
That’s when the nightmares came, as they so often did anyway. Having experienced the heat in real life so recently made them all the more realistic that night, though.
It was months later before he had to face his fear during waking hours again. They were in the middle of an intense air and ground battle with the Empire just outside a military base on the planet Nateya. Hunk and Pidge were in their Lions, shooting up the cruisers that hovered above, while Keith and Shiro fought hand to hand down below alongside Nateyan soldiers and Lance sniped from the top of a nearby building.
Without warning, one of the ships fired a laser cannon at the largest building on base, causing a small explosion that shook the ground. The place immediately went up in flames. Most of the Nateyans were already outside fighting, but those that weren’t soon started pouring out the front door.
For a moment Keith’s feet were glued in place, his mind stuck in the past. The image of the military building flickered in and out, juxtaposed with a much taller building with lots of dark, reflective windows.
Kogane! Don’t go back in there, it’s too late!
They’re still inside, I have to try to save them!
“I have to try to save them,” he whispered. Before his mind had caught up to what his body was doing, his feet had already carried him to the door.
Past all the people. Ignore them, they’re not who you’re looking for. Ignore the fact that you’re the only one moving in this direction. Ignore the smoke that’s starting to clog the air the further in you go. Ignore the voices crying in the back of your head.
Dad! No, Dad, come back!
The stream of aliens had thinned out. One lone male stumbled out of a back hallway that glowed orange, coughing. Keith grabbed him by the shoulders.
“Is anyone else back there?”
The Nateyan shook his head. “If they are, I doubt they survived.”
Somebody get the kid out of there!
Without another word, Keith pushed past him and into the hallway. The air was growing more and more stifling with each step. Around a corner, and suddenly he could hear the pops and crackles of the fire.
Searing pain in his hands, on his shoulder.
He began kicking open each door he passed, sticking his head inside to look for survivors before moving on. The heat was intense now, he could feel it even through his suit. The crackles had turned into a roar that grew in his ears until it was deafening.
No! No! I want my Dad! Give me my Dad!
It wasn’t until he was standing face to face with a wall of flame, struggling to breathe in a way that had nothing to do with the smoke, that he finally found someone. A young, female Nateyan, cowering in the corner of the last room before oblivion.
“Come on!” he shouted, grabbing her by the arm and yanking her up. “We’ve gotta get out of here!”
Come on, kid, you’re hurting yourself. You’ve gotta get away from there.
Back out into the hall. The fire had progressed, licking at his back as he shielded the young woman. A beam crashed to the floor just behind them, and both of them hit the floor, from fear rather than the actual impact.
It was the last straw for Keith’s tenuous hold on his sanity. When he scrambled back to his feet and pulled her up with him, he was actually floating several feet above his own head, following from behind near the ceiling as the two bodies below ran back through the long hallways. It was much more pleasant up there, honestly. The sound of the flames and the thick smoke that made the woman cough constantly didn’t bother him in the least.
When they burst out of the building and into the cool, fresh air, he watched as Shiro ran up to him, and watched himself fail to respond. Shiro seemed concerned, shaking his shoulders gently, calling his name over and over, but he couldn’t bother himself to go back down and into the nightmare that would be waiting for him. Finally the Black Paladin took him by the arm and led him away from the last strains of the battle. Keith followed along, into a quiet alleyway, where they both sat with their backs up against the wall.
It took a while. Shiro held his hand the whole time, though he couldn’t actually feel it. The transition came with no warning, his consciousness crashing back down into his body with a force that nearly knocked him over, and immediately he couldn’t breathe.
I want my Dad! Give me back my Dad!
A band was wrapped around his lungs. Squeezing, always squeezing, tighter and tighter until he thought his ribs would all crumble. Fumbling for his helmet, he managed to release the seal and threw it to the ground, then grabbed fistfuls of his hair and pulled. The pressure somehow eased some of the tension that had taken over his body, but it didn’t make pulling in air any easier.
We need an EMT over here!
Shiro was saying something in his ear. It sounded like a bumblebee droning, or like a radio playing underwater. A hand touched his arm and he jerked away, doubling over to dig his forehead into the dirt.
A deafening sound, a sound that he would never forget in all his years. The sound of a charred building collapsing in on itself.
Hands were on his face. He fought against them, but they held fast, pulling his head up so that he was eye to eye with Shiro. It took several long moments before Keith’s brain registered that he was emulating deep breathing for him to follow.
DAD!
“That’s it.” Shiro’s voice broke through the roar suddenly. “That’s great, Keith. Just keep breathing, just like that.”
Another breath. Two. They were getting easier, little by little. The pain in his chest was subsiding, though the scars on his palms and shoulder still burned beneath his armor. He suspected it would be a few days before they’d stop.
“There you go, bud. You’re gonna be okay.”
I’m sorry, kid. Your dad is gone.

Author: Mod Alex
“Keef!”
The young boy dropped his toys and turned around to see his best friend. Although he’d never admit it, he loved the way they mispronounced his name, it was… cute. “(Y/n)! What are you doing here?”
“I came to make a deal.” You held out a paper to him, an adorably serious look on your face.
“A deal?” He took the paper, looking over the crayon written words. The writing was messy and mistake-ridden, but it didn’t matter to Keith, what mattered was that it was a proposal to Keith, a marriage proposal.
“You are my bestest friend ever. So, I’ve decided that if I’m not already married in twenty years, which is like a million years away anyway, then we should get married.”
Keith’s surprise turned into a smile which turned into a laugh. “(Y/N), you’re only 7-”
“And a half! You're only 4 months older anyway, I’m basically 8 like you!”
“Okay, you’re 7 and a half, but shouldn’t you wait until you're older to get married.”
“I am, didn’t you read it? It says 20 years away,” you pointed at a large blue 20, “see? Right there.” You huffed crossing your arms and looking down, your serious face crumbling as you toed at the dirt.
“Okay.” Keith figured if he did want to marry someone one day it should be you.
“Okay?” You looked up, failing to mask your surprise.
“Yup. Oh, I think we need to sign this, right?”
“Oh, right!’ You fished two crayons out of your pocket, handing him the red one, and keeping your favorite colored one for yourself. After setting the paper on the sandbox’s lining you both signed, sealing a contract that would be forgotten for a long time. 19 years to be exact.
-
You were going through some old things of yours (your parents had asked you to come home to see what you wanted to keep and what you wanted to toss as they needed your old room cleared since they were planning on moving). As you were in the process of going through your childhood stuff, you stumbled across your old treasure chest filled with drawings, toys, and crumpled at the very bottom-- a wedding certificate. You laughed as you pulled it out, flattening it as best as you could. Keith absolutely had to see this. After tugging out your phone you sent him a quick message to hurry over.
Keith got there not even twenty minutes later looking for you somewhat panicked. After an apology and a brief explanation, he calmed down. Actually, he was pretty amused. “I can’t believe you told me I was going to marry you.”
“Hey! You’re the one that agreed.” The both of you were laughing as Keith looked over the paper.
“According to this, we’re supposed to get married in a couple weeks.” Keith grinned at you, blushing slightly from what you assumed was second-hand embarrassment from your younger selves.
“Oh gosh, so it does.” Your giggle fit picked up again, as you continued to speak through it. “Guess we have to get married. A contract is a contract, as they say.”
“I’ve never heard that saying, I’m not entirely convinced you didn’t just make that up.”
You held your hand to your chest, barely containing your grin. “Are you, Keith Kogane, saying I’m making things up?”
“Oh absolutely.” He smiled, not even trying to hide his smile.
You gasped dramatically. “How rude.” The paper in your hand caught your attention once more. “Why did you sign it? Way back then, I mean.”
“Why?” Keith took the paper from you, smoothing out some of the worst folds and eyeing it fondly. “How could I not? You came up to me that day and I vaguely remember feeling intimidated-“
“What?! By me?! Your friend?!”
“Well, sure. You came up to me holding this sheet of stark white printer paper- which has seen better days now, but back then it looked official-“
“Kind of what I was going for,” you laughed.
“Right. So any way you come marching up with an official-looking piece of paper and then basically declare that you were going to marry me. And I was intimidated. I mean there was this person I liked-“ Keith fumbled over his words, speaking more quickly after his accidental confession, “and they were asking me to marry them. It was a time of very strong intimidation.” He laughed awkwardly, hoping you hadn’t caught his blunder. “Anyway what are you going to do with this?”
“Wait! You liked me?!”
“I- um- yeah…” He fiddled with the edge of the paper before handing it back to you, noticeably uncomfortable.
“Wow.” The word came out as more of a sound than an actual statement. “I’m just- I can’t believe it. I guess since we signed this I’ll have to keep it. Just, y'know, in case I don’t fall madly in love with some rando within the next three weeks.” You spoke clearly, although your voice did have a slightly teasing tone. It wasn’t mean, though, far from it, if anything it sounded kind of flirty. You hoped Keith understood you were being genuine.
He flushed. “Yeah, maybe… Hey, I’ve got to head out, Shiro’s having this thing and he asked me to go. I’ll see you later?”
“Sounds good. Maybe Sal’s tonight?”
“Sure.” Keith grabbed his bag and basically bounded out of the room, face aflame.
You felt a little guilty about flustering him so much, but really you were feeling quite overwhelmed yourself. Keith and you’d been friends since basically the day you were born and yeah, you’d had a crush on him, and yeah, maybe you still did. But you couldn’t just come out with it. Besides, there was no way he liked you still anyway. You’d gotten a rise out of him for your own amusement (and maybe to see if he still had feelings for you), but you were certain it was just his embarrassment at the situation that made him so flustered. You were a little crushed, to be honest. To be completely truthful you wanted to do nothing more than bottle your feelings up and binge video games all night to forget the awkwardness you’d just set in place, but no, you had already asked Keith to meet you at Sal’s.
-
By the time evening rolled around and it was time to head to Sal’s you had worked yourself into a pit of guilt and regret. Keith wasn’t there when you got there. So you took up residence in the lone booth at the back where the two of you usually sat. Ten minutes had passed before you saw your friends Shiro and Matt walk in. Keith still wasn’t here so you waved them over. They seemed happy enough to see you, you were happy to see them too, even if you had been hoping they had Keith with them. They didn’t.
“(N/n), hey! Is Keith with you?” Shiro grinned, leaning down to side hug you before sliding in opposite you. Matt slid in next to you pulling you into a hug that quickly became a noogie.
“Gah! Matt what the hell, what are you five?” You shoved away from him, giving him the bird as you turned back to Shiro. “No, he was supposed to meet me here like half an hour ago, I thought maybe he was with you.”
“I haven’t seen him since this afternoon.”
“Shit. Did he seriously stand me up?”
“Oh? Did you two finally confess your undying love for each other? And here I thought we had something, (N/n).” Matt lounged against you and you grumbled despite smiling at the dramatic man.
“First of all shut your mouth. Second of all, you know you’re the only one for me.” Shiro barked with laughter and Matt nuzzled in closer to you and you rolled your eyes playfully at the act. “Jesus, you’re being worse than usual, are you drunk?”
“He’s got a buzz.”
“Ah. That makes sense then. Matt, my darling lover, I need you to get your bony ass elbow out from my rib cage.” He laughed as he sat back up.
Though he had been smiling at the antics of his friends only moments prior, Shiro was quick to take up the serious role. “Wait, so you haven’t seen Keith since this morning.” You nodded. “Did something happen between the two of you?”
You flushed, this was the conversation you were hoping wasn’t going to happen. Still, you couldn’t lie to Shiro, the man was pretty much a human lie detector to his friends. “Kind of… I found this dumb thing from when we were kids this morning and I think it upset him.”
Shiro cocked his head to the side. “But Keith loves looking through things from your guy’s childhood.”
“Well, I think maybe it was more so what I said about it. I may have been a bit out of line with my joking.”
“What’d you say?” Math looked at you, eyes widened.
You buried your head in your hands to hide your face. “I may have implied we should get married.” Both Matt and Shiro broke into a fit of laughter at your expense and you groaned. “Guys shut up! Look I didn’t know what else to do, he told me he used to have feelings for me and I guess I was just feeling bold. I’ve been beating myself up for it all day.”
Shiro caught his breath, quietening his chuckles momentarily. “He told you that? And I assume it’s safe to say that you're referring to the fake proposal back in- oh gosh, I want to say first, maybe kindergarten?”
“Second-grade, and yeah. I mean, what would you do? You know how I feel about Keith and it was like he was saying the very thing I wanted to hear for basically all of my life and then he bails the second I reciprocate. The only thing I can think is that I fucked up, which honestly let's be real, is probably the case. And now he’s uncomfortable around me, and I don’t know what to do.”
Shiro blinked, face going slack. “Oh, wow. Okay. I can’t believe he actually told you. I don’t think you scared him off, (N/n), I think maybe he wasn’t expecting you to say anything like that and he didn’t know how to handle it. I’m sure if you give him time he’ll work it out himself. Until then you need to stop beating yourself up over it.”
“Easier said than done.” You crossed your arms, slumping in your seat.
“I know, but you’re going to have to trust me on this one.”
-
Keith had never shown up to Sal’s and honestly now that a few days had passed with him one wording you, Shiro's advice was getting harder and harder to follow. You were in your apartment, putting everything from your old room away when you stumbled across the object that caused this whole situation. You crumpled it, tossing it aside. “As if I needed the reminder.” Your birthday was rapidly approaching, with only little over a week left until the day. It was supposed to be a joyous occasion, but it only served as a reminder that Keith was avoiding you. You glared at the piece of paper laying crumpled pathetically at the floor. A sigh escaped you and you sunk to the floor, grabbing it again. It hurt sure, but you felt bad just tossing it aside like that. Why couldn’t life be as easy as you thought it would be all those years ago? You’d always loved Keith, that much should have been obvious from your proposal. But the idea that your feelings had been reciprocated and that they may not be anymore crushed you; even more than that, the idea that you’d ruined your friendship with Keith completely wrecked you. Even if you couldn’t have him as your significant other, you would always want to be friends; he was your other half.
Your phone rang and you jumped, startled by the sudden noise. The caller ID said it was Matt. Decline. You just couldn’t deal with his silliness right now. The phone rang again and you were irked to see Matt’s face pop up again. Decline. You pressed down on the screen as if the more aggressive action would keep him from calling again. A moment later a message popped up. It was from Matt.
Answer my call D:
You rolled your eyes. A second later the phone started buzzing again. You slid the answer button, annoyance written in your words as you clipped out a curt “What?”.
“About time, I was wondering if I’d have to come to your house to tell you.”
“Tell me what?!”
“Now, now. Is that any way to talk to someone with good news?” His voice was a singsong that only proved to grate on your nerves further.
“You know what, I don’t care.”
His laughter faded. “Okay, okay, sorry. Yeesh, this whole thing has really gotten to you, hasn’t it?” He was quick to take on a more empathetic tone, it was much appreciated on your end.
“I’m sorry, I’m being kind of an ass, aren't I? But, yeah, it has. Anyway, what was your news?”
“Shiro has a surprise for you!”
“Wait, what?”
“Can you meet us at his place?”
“Yeah-- wait, Matt, what’s the surprise?”
“It wouldn’t be a surprise if I told you, now would it?” You tried to speak again, but the line went dead. He’d hung up.
You wanted to ignore the phone call, but you know if you did the curiosity would linger much longer than you’d like. So instead, you huffily slipped on your jacket and shoes and headed out to Shiro’s place.
For having a surprise for you, Shiro wasn’t very quick to answer his door. When he finally did open the door he was red in the face and looked like he had just been running laps. You guffawed. “Are you good?” Too breathless to answer, he just nodded, stepping aside to let you in. “What were you doing-- the hell is this?”
“Oh that, that’s nothing. You look great, but hey have you thought about going out, like with us?” You blinked slowly at Matt who was trying to pull your attention from reusable grocery bags that were spilling out streamers and other various decorations.
“What are you talking about?”
“We’re going to go party and you’re coming with us. No more moping. But maybe you might want to get a little more dressed up, that’s on me, I should have told you before. I was just worried you wouldn’t show up.”
"I wouldn’t have. Matt, I don’t want to go out partying. Besides you’re a little early, my birthday isn’t for-”
“We know! But you needed a pick me up, look it won’t be one of those shitty bars, okay. Somewhere more laid back.”
You rolled your eyes again. “What's wrong with what I have on now then?”
“Pwetty pwease. Look, we even bought you a gift!”
Matt pulled out a nicely wrapped gift box, Shiro must have wrapped it.
“Go on, open it.”
So you did, pulling the ribbon and tearing the paper off. Inside the box was an outfit, and despite your earlier protests, you smiled. It was a number you’d been eyeing for a while now. “Thank you both. Fine. We can go party, but just for a little while. Let me go get ready first, yeah?”
“Sounds good.”
-
The place they ended up taking you was Oriande, a place that landed somewhere between a club and a bar. It was classier than most of the bars on the road, but it also still had a dance floor giving it a more casual atmosphere as opposed to the high-class lounges up the road. It was still early in the evening, the sun just barely touching the horizon when you went in. Pastel neon lights engulfed you, the soft yet bright pinks blues and purples inviting you deeper into the establishment. Honestly, you were surprised you hadn’t been here before, it was just your style. Shiro ushered you over to a table nearer the back that looked like it had been decorated for an event. Oh, dang, were you here for someone else's party? But you didn’t even bring anything-
A cheery lady approached you. “You must be one of our bachelorxs!” She clapped a hand on you back and before you could get a word in edgewise she continued. “Now, your hubby-to-be isn't here yet, but that doesn’t mean the fun can't begin right?” She laughed friendly, before continuing, barely a breath in between her last sentence. “So," she stretched out the 'o' so that it sounded more like 'ooh', "we’ve set up a nice little bar section for your party, and of course since it's your party there's an open bar. Your planners were very thorough! If you need anything just holler!” And like that she had run off to attend other matters.
You rounded on your friends who were looking particularly guilty. “What the hell did you do!?”
“Look before you say anything-”
“No. I-” You pinched the bridge of your nose. “I get that you wanted the discount or special treatment or whatever, but did you really have to rope me in?”
“Well actually-”
“Shiro? Why’d you ask me to meet you here? Isn’t it kind of loud--...” There was Keith looking a little worse for the wear than when you’d last seen him, but he had still cleaned up well. Your attention immediately left Shiro.
“Keith?” His face paled as you approached him, eyes darting away as if searching from an exit; your heart clenched painfully. When he realized he couldn't so easily dart away he begrudgingly looked up at you, face a soft pink, although it might have just been the lighting-- it was hard to tell.
“(Y/n)... Hey…”
“It’s nice to see you again.” Even though you don’t want to see me, you thought bitterly. “Did Shiro invite you? It looks like it’s somebody’s party.” This caught him off guard.
“I... it is?”
You shrugged. “I’m assuming, although I think Shiro,” You yanked the fleeing man over, grip iron clad on his arm, Matt had already made his getaway, “and Matthew are running a bit of a con, but there are free drinks so...”
“Oh, my gosh, you two are so cu~ute! You must be our bachelor, I'm sure your fiance must have filled you in, so if you need anything let me know. I’ll let the bartender know that you’re both here.”
You watched in mortification as the chipper woman from before clapped a hand on Keith’s shoulder, effectively labeling him as your fiance. His face was burning with a blush, you were certain it wasn't the lighting this time. “No- that’s not--”
“Berry! We got an issue!” Someone from behind the bar shouted at who you assumed was the chipper lady. She frowned. “Shoot. Sorry, I gotta go handle this, enjoy your party!” Your anger from before you saw Keith had been reignited with a vengeance.
“Okay, so maybe I should explain…” Shiro looked beyond nervous.
“You think?!”
“It was Matt’s idea. Well, okay so originally we thought maybe we could pretend to be getting engaged for a couple of free drinks but then you two… well, you’ve both been a mess and refused to confront each other… So Matt came up with this idea, which in hindsight is kind of a shitty one, but hey now you can talk and there's plenty of pre-paid liquid courage to help you.”
“Shiro!”
“I’m sorry that we put you in this situation, but I’m not sorry I tricked you both into coming. Who knows how long you two would’ve gone on avoiding each other? And I can't deal with you both being upset over the same thing just because you don't want to confront each other. You both have been beating yourselves up, and waiting around for the situation to just magically right itself. So if it takes alcohol to get you to talk, then so be it." Shiro had taken on that authoritative aura of his and you huffed. You hated it when he was right, and he usually was.
"Fine." Your voice sounded cold even to your ears. You hadn’t meant for it to and you couldn't stand the thought of seeing if Keith reacted to it. Honestly, you weren't sure if it would hurt more if he did or didn't. Instead of looking you stubbornly grabbed his hand and dragged him to somewhere you could talk without shouting. You ended up finding yourselves alone in the hallway to the restroom, the music was still blaring but it was far enough away that you could actually talk. You finally let go of Keith’s hand, turning around to face him. It was almost too much, after so many days of having been rejected by him. Your nerves gripped you with a renewed sense of terror. You couldn’t talk, instead, you felt your throat tighten. Fuck. You were gonna cry. You hadn’t dragged him all the way over here just to cry in front of him. A strained whimper left your lips when you made to speak and you quickly snapped your mouth shut, turning away in embarrassment. Why now, of all times did your emotions have to be getting the better of you.
A shaky hand wiped your tears away. Your eyes shot to meet Keith’s. He looked unsure of himself like he would dart away at any second and yet, he still stood before you, gently brushing away the tears that refused to stop flowing. “H-hey, (N/n), hey… No, no, fuck. Shit. I’m sorry. I didn’t-- I didn’t mean to make you cry.” That only made you cry harder and soon enough Keith had awkwardly pulled you into his arms. It was no unknown fact that physical affection was one of the quickest ways to comfort you and as your childhood best friend, Keith knew this better than anyone. “I,” He cleared his throat, “I know I fucked up. I never wanted to hurt you. I’d rather die.” He paused and for a moment you thought that he was done talking and tried to focus on recomposing yourself. You never left his arms though, afraid that stepping away would mean you’d never get to be this close to him again. “But I- I didn’t know what to do… I was scared. My feelings for you were laid out and I couldn’t be sure what you were thinking.” Something wet hit the top of your head-- Keith was crying too? “So, I did what I do best and I ran away. I shouldn’t have, but… What else was I supposed to do?” His voice wavered, his question coming out near breathless and timorous.
“I don’t understand? Why were you scared? I don’t care if you used to have a crush on me as a kid! I’m sorry if I scared you off with that stupid comment, I just… I don’t know. I thought maybe…” You had pushed back, this wasn’t a conversation you could very well have with your face smooshed into Keith’s chest. Regret clenched around your heart like a chain, but you’d already froze before. You forced yourself to meet his eyes, the beautiful violet-grey causing a short-lived wave of calm to wash over you. They were familiar, and yet the tears falling from them were not. Keith rarely cried. Acting on instinct alone, your hands made to wipe his tears away. He let you, watching you with a piercing gaze that was trying to dissect your every movement, find answers in the space between your words and your actions. He couldn’t find any hidden meanings, but he couldn't find any answers either.
“Comment?”
“What?” Your voice croaked out, sounding just as confused as he had.
“You said stupid comment? What comment?” Was he serious? Hadn’t your flirting been what caused this all to spiral?
“When I was flirting with you! Isn’t that what ran you off? I mean I didn’t actually mean we had to get married, just like a date or- or whatever…”
“Wait you were flirting with me?!” You felt like screaming, how had you managed to get yourself into this predicament of giving Keith your feelings on a platter thrice in your life now? Regardless of whether he knew or not, you felt like vomiting from the nerves.
“I thought it was obvious?” You laughed, but it came out strange and garbled, “I mean, shit Keith, I only propositioned you for marriage twice now.” The idea was both incredibly embarrassing and way too funny.
He seemed to feel similarly as a snort left him, quickly preceded by a fit of laughter that you too couldn't help but join in on. The both of you sounded delirious, and honestly, you kind of were. Tears flowed freely as you laughed, making you feel as though you may have lost it. When the laughter finally died down you were left shaky and almost numb. But the weight was no longer on your shoulders so that was something. “In your defense,” Keith’s hands had come to wipe away your tears again, completely dismissing his own, “I’ve technically never refused your propositions either.”
Your hand met his on your cheek, stopping the motions but also stopping him from leaving. “I mean, you did run away the second time…”
“But I never said no.”
“Are you saying you want to marry me?” Your brow arched, eyes searching his for a sign that he was joking. Surely, he wasn’t actually saying he wanted to marry you.
His eyes widened and he glanced to the side bashfully. “Maybe not a week from now… Honestly, though, I don’t think I could ever even imagine myself spending the rest of my life with anyone else? Like you’ve been my constant since basically day one and I’ve… I’ve had feelings for you for almost as long.” You could feel the tremble of his hands, letting your grip tighten slightly afraid he might run again if you didn’t. Your other hand moved to press his ridiculous fringe out of his eyes.
“Oh, Keith.” You couldn’t help the soft smile that found its way to your lips. “Are you saying what I think you’re saying?”
He bit his lip. “That depends on what you think I’m saying?”
“Keith… Please don’t make me wait any longer to hear it.”
He laughed, although you could still feel the slight tremble in his hand. “(Y/n) (L/n), I have wanted to be with you since we were in second grade, maybe longer, and that’s never changed. If you’ll have me, I’d love nothing more than to be with you.” He paused a beat. “Oh, but, um, I do think marriage would be rushing it... “
You giggled, though he sounded monotone, you knew he was joking. “I’ve waited this long, I think I can wait a while longer if that’s what it takes.” The two of you shared a laugh and before you knew it, Keith had gently tugged you back into his arms. With your face pressed firmly into his chest, you could feel the erratic beating of his heart. “But really, Keith. I’ve had feelings for you for as long as I can remember. I’m glad we finally get to be here like this.”
“Speaking of, do you want to dip out and go somewhere-”
“Less loud?”
“Yeah.”
“That would be lovely.” With your hand in his, Keith led you through the crowds, neither of you bothering much to say goodbye to the now tipsy Matt and supervising Shiro, instead of finding your way outside into the crisp evening air. It felt like you could breathe finally, although you suspect part of it was because you no longer felt the crushing pressure on your chest of hiding your feelings for Keith. In fact, you realized with delight, you could now… “Hey, Keith?” You stopped on the sidewalk, with him by your side, eyeing you curiously. “Can I try something?”
“Okay?”
Letting the last of your nerves roll off of you, you took your moment of boldness and leaned up to press a chaste kiss to the corner of his mouth. Keith startled, after a moment his hand left yours, instead, finding purchase on your waist to tug you closer. “(Y/n), can I try something?” His voice was barely audible, but it still sent shivers through your spine.
“Okay.”
He smiled softly before moving to capture your lips with his own. The kiss was tender and filled with love. His inexperience showed, but it was endearing and you found yourself leaning in to kiss him again after he pulled back. You were left breathless under the lamplight, grinning just as brightly as that day on the playground when Keith first agreed to be yours. And now that he’d agreed once again, well you couldn’t be any happier.

keithtober prompt #24: samurai
Lance really, really enjoys watching Keith write in Japanese. One of his favorite positions is casually draped over Keith, resting his chin on Keith’s shoulder, watching him practice writing in Japanese. Keith is thorough in this like everything else; each character is neatly drawn using a specific (and, to Lance, utterly counterintuitive) stroke order, lined perfectly with each other. Even though is father was Japanese, Keith had never really been taught the language, which makes it that much more amazing that he can write as many characters and speak as fluently as he can.
Lance thinks it's calming, watching Keith write these characters; he doesn't have to focus on trying to read it, or sounding out the alphabet, because he doesn't understand it. He can just watch Keith write as if he's drawing. It’s also funny how Keith will constantly be mouthing the pronunciations as he writes. It's very serene, and he knows Keith appreciates the recognition of his skill, even just in a subtle way.
“Whatcha writing there, Kogane?” Lance asks one day, feeling a sudden inclination to figure out what Keith’s thinking about as he practices today.
Keith glances back at him with playful huff, and brandishes the paper at him. “Samurai,” he says, accenting it the Japanese way. Lance’s eyes light up.
“Oooh, sharp work, samurai,” he coos into Keith’s ear, rubbing his nose into his cheek. Keith snickers, rolling his eyes.
“You remember saying that?” he asks, poking Lance with his pencil. “I’m surprised.”
It’s Lance’s turn to sigh in teasing frustration. “I remember all my failed attempts at flirting with you,” he says with a shake of his head.
“It didn’t fail. I thought about it for weeks. Why did Lance say that? Why did he say it like THAT?” Keith laughs, ducking forward and causing Lance to lose his balance from where his arms had been resting on his shoulders. “C’mon, I’ll teach you how to write it. It’s only one character.”
Interest piqued, Lance lets Keith’s comment go, promising to return to it later and mock his boyfriend mercilessly for love-angsting over his silly samurai comment. He nods eagerly, repositioning himself and crossing his legs in front of Keith.
“Teach me, professor,” he says in cloying, sweet tones, batting his eyelashes. Keith slaps him with his pencil.
“Shut up. Now, watch.”
Lance leans in close, eyes trained on the gridded squares on Keith’s paper, and watches as he quickly writes out the character, stroke by stroke. Samurai - 侍.
“That doesn’t look so complicated,” Lance says, confidently taking Keith’s pencil from him and beginning to sketch. Keith snorts the moment he makes his first stroke, murmuring something about how it’s not the right order, but Lance ignores him. With his tongue between his teeth and brows furrowed, he finishes his character and proudly turns the paper around for Keith’s inspection.
Keith starts laughing. “Oh my god, it looks like a kid wrote it!”
“Hey!” Lance folds his arms, glaring. “That’s rude! I tried my best!”
“I know you did,” Keith says, smiling and shaking his head. “We’ll work on it.”
Lance sticks his tongue out at Keith and flops onto his stomach, content to once again just observe as Keith traces. “I’m not the one that needs to know how to write samurai, samurai. That’s your job.”
“Yeah, yeah.” Keith writes out the same character underneath Lance’s. It’s nearly perfect. “Just try to teach me Spanish sometime. I’m sure I’ll be bad if not worse than you were at writing this kanji.”
“You can bet on it,” Lance replies enthusiastically. “I’d love to see you pronounce Spanish words. You can barely manage English.”
Keith doesn’t deign Lance’s nagging with a response, but that’s okay; he’s already back to his writing, switching between 侍 and 武, the latter of which looks much more complicated. Maybe Keith went easy on him by giving him samurai to write.
“You’re pretty cool, samurai,” Lance admits, gazing tenderly up at Keith’s concentrated face. Keith’s skin rapidly flushes, and he messes up one of his characters, cursing under his breath.
“S-Shut up,” is all he says in response, which makes Lance feel like he’s won something. And Keith looks awfully pretty blushing like that.
After this, maybe Lance can convince him to do something other than work.

Kidge summer event
Day 11: chill night.
Characters: Pidge/Katie holt, Keith Kogane, ( Hunk Garret ,lance McClain)
Pairing: pidge and keith : kidge
season7-Season8, fix-it AU
A/N, SORRY IM LATE! I haven't corrected my mistakes so if you see some, feel free to tell me! ( Im posting today's prompt later, I HAVE TO WRITE IT AND THEN TO GO WRITE ON WATTPAD! HELP.)
Pidge and Keith arrived at Keith's place.
It was their last night on earth and well, Keith decided to make the first move... It was because of Lance:
"MAN! invite her and have a nice time with her! It's literally the last time you can chill a little and after that, we will be back into space for a while... We're not even sure to survive, so, enjoy that girl as long as you can or you'll have regrets!"
So Keith though about it. Again and again........ And he did it. He invited her to spend their last night on earth together. Basically, It was a movie night, ever since it was Keith's first date and he didn't know how to handle it. He didn't want it to be too formal and he wanted her to feel comfortable... She hates public places.
He opened the door:
"Come in, you know the place.. make yourself confortable."
He said, not very sure of what to do and how to handle the situation.
"Yeah, thanks."
She answered with a soft smile.
They both sat on the couch where Keith has settled blankets and snacks.
"GOSH! YOU GOT US PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES?!"
She said as she jumped on them.
"Yup, I remembered that you liked them."
"Awww, so you do listen when I talk." She teased.
"Of course! Why do you ask that?!"
She chuckled and he understood that she was messing with him.
Later, they settled under the covers. Both pretty close but still keeping a respectable distance from each other.
"Ok so, I stole Shiro's Netflix for the night! Do you have anything that you want to watch? I let you pick the movie."
"Mhhh....." She thought a moment before to speak up: " How about an horror movie? It's been years since I last watched one first of all because we were into space but also because Hunk never wants to watch them... What do you think?"
"Sounds good to me!.."
So they picked a movie and started to watch it.
Ok Keith, sow remember, you'll regret it if you don't do anything to hug her. Like, if you don't even TRY.... Alright, here we go... Keith thought
He stretched and placed his arm behind her to bring her closer... That was something Lance and Hunk had taught him and, even if it seemed dum and weird, it worked! He now had her closer to him! And as the night wore on, she got closer, and closer, until she was resting her entire body on him and he was cuddling her.
When the movie ended, Keith looked down at her to see if she had fallen asleep but no, she still had her eyes opened but you could see that she was very sleepy.
She sleepily raised her head that was resting on his torso and gave him a soft smile.
"So what did you think of that movie?.."
He asked, trying to break the ice.
"Was the best movie ever."
She held him closer.
"Was it that good?.."He asked, not knowing exactly how to react.
"I mean, I haven't really payed attention to the movie... But it was nice."
"But-'" He was about to ask why but understood. "Ha- I have to admit... I haven't payed attention to the movie either..."
She laughed and then grabbed him by the chin to let a kiss on his cheek.
"We're both so dum..." She sighed.
"We are...."
A/N: im writting another version of it on wattpad. It'll be longer and better lol. if you want to read it, I'll post it in the story called "kidge one shots".

Once Bitten, Twice Stupid prt 211
211
Feeling Lance getting out of bed, Keith felt for his lover, Lance’s hand finding his after he’d half slapped him on the lower back
“Babe?”
“Getting a drink”
“Dun’ be too long”
“I won’t”
Coran was a bad loser. Pidge had annihilated him in Mario. Keith and Lance coming downstairs just as Coran started accusing Pidge of cheating. Five rematches later and Matt had taken the controller off Coran who started on a tangent about everything wrong with the game. To soothe the piece, Hunk suggested they do the cake now that Lance was awake to enjoy it.
Hunk had outdone himself with the cake. Keith had no words for how nicely decorated it was, nor did he have words for how big it was. As they were choosing not to know the sex of their twins, Hunk had used soft pastels to bring colour to the cake with fancy twirly things and edging that he didn’t know the name for. Comprised of three tiers, the top tier had two foot pints made from edible chocolate, coloured purple, circled by “Kogane-McClain Twins”. The second layer read congratulations. The third being just cute pastel icing. Had he not been embarrassed over his lack of baking knowledge, he probably would have asked Lance what all the decorations were properly called. The inside of the cake matched the outside. Pink, purple, blue, green, and yellow, comprising the layers with buttercream frosting between them.
Apparently their Sunshine Hunk couldn’t help himself, Lance crying on Hunk’s shoulder as he thanked him. Hunk crying on Lance’s shoulder as he assured him he knew he was grateful. Taking the top tier for themselves, they shared a plate, knowing there was no way there would be anything left once Matt and Rieva started. Having never eaten a “foot” before, Keith was impressed Hunk had managed to mould white chocolate so well. The man had skills. If he were to open a bakery, Keith’s bank balance wouldn’t be staying in the black very long.
After the cake came the presents. Their twins had to have a set a record for the most blankets and onesies. Lance kept saying they didn’t need anything else, everything making him cry... except for Shiro who would forever be the lamest big brother in history. Someone out there made custom onesies. Keith would like to meet them and strangle them. Four bloody onesies. Four bloody supernatural themed onesies that had passed Curtis’s tick of approval. Two vampire print and two werewolf print. Why did everything Shiro touched always have to come back to that? Curtis earned some point back with him by gifting them a box set of documentaries that he and Lance had watched half of when Curtis lived there.
Coran, now over his loss and perked up with sugar, gifted them herbal teas with a long lecture on which teas were best for which moods. Being tea, it all went through one ear and out the other. Allura’s gift of coffee made it clear she knew what a werewolf needed in his life, especially with the sleepless nights to come.
Krolia... Krolia’s gift was a set of tiny little blades for their twins. Keith confiscating them before his mother could get any ideas about training the twins to be hunters. That wasn’t the life they wanted for their kids. They wanted to watch them grow and explore the world, finding their own passions to chase. Lance politely thanked Krolia, but the look on his face said those blades were to disappear somewhere where their twins would never find them.
Shay had found “emo” baby blankets. Lance found them funny, as they reminded him of Keith. Keith couldn’t deny that they weren’t his favourite gift because they were kind of nifty with their black and white skull patterns and the green one had a really cool dragon pattern on it.
From Matt and Rieva, almost entirely most definitely Rieva’s idea, they were gifted a set of second hand Berenstain Bears books. She’d started secretly collecting when she’d found out Lance was pregnant. Mami gave a little help with the gift choice. Matt’s gift to them was taking Pidge home and spending a couple of days in Platt so they could have more alone time before the birth. Keith had a new favourite present.
Pidge drunkenly praising her skills over “suping up” the pram she’d gifted them. The thing now sporting wheels that “would make Lance’s dumb bronco cry in jealous”. Lance wasn’t sure about it all, but Pidge wouldn’t be dissuaded that the pram wasn’t now at its absolute best. Though no one argued with her directly about it, she was mid-rant when she threw up rather violently onto the rug. Krolia taking her to the bathroom, while Lance excused himself to throw up in the kitchen sink. Now there was two vomiting people, it was a mutual decision to start winding things up. Matt and Rieva in charge of getting a drunk Pidge home. Shay and Hunk also deciding maybe it was best to head off before Pidge came out the bathroom again. Their gremlin very loving and loud about it between throwing up and being soothed by Krolia. Coran and Allura were catching a ride back to Platt with Krolia, and with how green Shiro was looking, Keith sending them home.
Keith didn’t realise until everyone had left, that they’d been left with the mammoth task of cleaning everything up. Still, for all it’s ups and downs, it’d been a good party, though the pair of them did breathe a sigh of relief when silence descended over their home. Chores were done. Dishes washed. The rug scrubbed. Everything else outside could wait for another day as they climbed into bed together, both too sleepy for the night of promised passion. Lance still had moisturiser on his nose as kissed Keith goodnight. Keith smearing it out for him, thinking how lucky he was to have Lance... and how their friends had spent way too much money on them. He didn’t think he’d ever be used to such thoughtful gifts without waiting for a catch.
Dozing off, Lance’s spot was still empty when he woke up again. There were some nights was more out of their bed than in, but Keith couldn’t hear him in the bathroom. Trying not to panic, the werewolf climbed out from the mound of blankets on their bed. Most nights he’d find he’d kicked them off, too hot and too sweaty to sleep peacefully, like Lance did. Jogging over to the bathroom, he found it empty. Vaguely he remembered Lance saying he was his thirsty. If his fiancé’s insomnia had kicked in, then Lance was most probably sitting in the living room watching the TV on mute so Keith could get some sleep.
Sleepy and stumbly, Keith missed the bottom step of the stairs, hand flying out and denting the wall as he felt himself fall. Had the overwhelming scent of blood not been in the air, he might have paused to examine the damage he’d just done to the same spot Lance had repaired at least a dozen times since moving into his house
“Lance?! Babe?!”
Getting no answer from his fiancé, Keith’s heart started to race as his mind went to the worst possible situation. Lance could have slipped. He could be bleeding out. There was so much blood in the air, the werewolf’s stomach felt queasy.
Checking the rooms along the way, Kosmo had made himself at home in Matt’s and Rieva’s room, an interesting fact, though useless because Lance was on his mind. Reaching Lance’s office, the door was slightly open, the space illuminated by his computer screen. Flicking the light on, Lance hissed at him. Keith’s eyes widened in shock at the sight in front of him. Lance covered in blood. His fiancé hadn’t been kidding about being thirsty. Blood ran down his chin, and from his hands down his arms, not caring about how much of a mess he’d made feeding on blood bags he’d torn apart rather popping the cap on them. A quick count came to 8 bags scattered around Lance’s feet.
Watching Lance throw down the blood bag he’d just finished, the vampire tore into the next one, literally. His hands trying to push as much blood from the ripped bag down his throat as he could
“Babe? Babe, you feeling okay?”
Raising his head, Lance’s eyes were blank. That warm spark that always seemed to sparkly that just little bit bright for him was dull
“Babe?”
This couldn’t be good. Lance said he was thirsty. Not that he hadn’t fed in a year and was now making up for it. Keith felt revolted, and guilty for being revolted. His ego shocked into shutting up as they stared
“Baby, I think you’ve had enough blood. Here, let’s go back to bed? How does that sound?”
Lance didn’t reply. Keith forcing himself to slowly edge towards Lance. This was his Lance. His Lance wouldn’t savage him as he’d done with the blood bags. Nope. No. He was totally safe. Yep. Just a normal day in a vampire pregnancy. Nothing to see here
“Babe, come on, you’ve had enough for now”
Lance threw away the bag he’d drained, Keith using his speed to grab the bag he’d been going for out of reach. Watching the bag, Lance bared his bloodied fangs
“Baby, please. I know you’re in there. It’s me. It’s Keith. Come on, babe. Don’t let your ego push you aside”
Oh... oh. He was crying now. Keith didn’t know when that started. Had Lance not eating this much contributed to him feeling so ill? Was this how much blood a pregnant vampire needed in their final weeks of pregnancy? Placing the bag on the desk, Keith shifted the bags on the floor away with his foot, making it to crouching in front of Lance safely.
With shaking hands the werewolf reached out. His left hand going to Lance’s forehead as his right hand cupped his fiancé’s face. Blinking at him, Keith’s touch seemed to “wake” his lover. Warmth and confusion filling Lance’s eyes
“K-Keith?”
Looking down at his bloodied front, Lance’s gaze flicked back up, eyes welling with tears
“Wha... what happened?”
“You got a bit thirsty”
“But... h-how? The... party...?”
“The party ended hours ago, baby. You’re okay. You didn’t hurt anyone”
“I... I don’t remember”
The pain in Lance’s eyes was crushing
“Pidge started throwing up. Matt and Rieva took her home. Are you okay? You don’t feel warm”
“I don’t feel very good...”
“Okay. That’s okay. Do you think you can stand up?”
Lance went to look down his chest again, Keith holding his head up so he forced to look him in the eye
“You’re okay. It’s a just a bit of blood”
“I don’t remember”
“That’s okay. We were both exhausted when we went to bed. Just focus on me, baby. You can do that right?”
“I always focus on you”
Moving a stray lock of hair back, Keith gave Lance the best smile he could manage around his internal freak out
“Yeah, you do. You’re so good to me, babe. Let’s get you cleaned up and back into bed”
Lance nuzzled into his palm
“I’m sleepy”
Normally that much blood would turn Lance into an ego driven wanker
“I bet you are. You had a huge day and our friends are idiots. Let’s wash up, then we’ll snuggle”
Lance closed his eyes, sniffing sadly
“I’m sorry... I’m sorry I don’t remember coming down here...”
“That’s okay, baby. That’s okay. You’re okay”
*
Putting Lance to bed, Keith couldn’t sleep. Lance passed right out, but Keith was worried. Once the scent of blood had finally been cleaned away, a strange scent cling to Lance that left him feeling on edge. He didn’t like. The scent had him all muddled up inside, almost as if it’d given him a dose of adrenaline and he simply couldn’t sit still. Leaving his fiancé sleeping, Keith first headed to the bathroom to fetch Lance’s bloodied shirt and underwear, before heading downstairs. The one night he could have done with someone else there to tell him what to do, their house stood uselessly empty. Cleaning. That was about all he could do.
Crying as he scrubbed at the blood split in Lance’s office, he wondered how the heck he was supposed to deal with this. Lance had climbed into bed without prompting, even skipping getting in one last apology before zonking out. His fiancé needed his sleep, but should he have been waking him and taking him to Coran? Was he overreacting? It wasn’t like Lance had had a bleed, he’d checked when he’d towelled him down. Now that he was back to being himself, he’d been affectionate... but he couldn’t get the image of all that blood out of his head.
The torn bags thrown in the trash with Lance’s clothes, and the clothes from cleaning, the bin then dragged out to the road at Lance’s gateway for collection. Coming back to the house, Keith could hear Lance snoring, yet found himself unable to head upstairs with so much in his head. He needed coffee... and he really needed a fucking hug... Coffee at least was home and never failed at settling him, if he didn’t think about the times it had.
Settling himself on the edge of the sofa, Keith didn’t remember grabbing his phone when he’d left Lance sleeping. Kosmo coming quietly padding into the room, dropping himself to sit beside Keith’s legs with a soft whine
“I know. I’m worried about him too. Should I call Coran? Or am I thinking about this too much?”
He was so damn good at that. At his mind jumping to the worst case scenario. He’d always hate that about himself. He needed Shiro. They’d talked a little over lunch, but right now, Shiro was the only one he felt would understand his stupid fears. He loved Garrison, but the house felt so isolated that he felt truly alone. If the world outside had been destroyed, he’d be the last to know. God. He wanted his brother.
Resting his elbows on his knees, his right palm dug into his right eye as he held his phone with his left. The ringing continuing so long that he thought it’d ring out. It must have been the last ring when the call finally connected, Shiro’s voice groggy
“Keith?”
A fresh wave of tears hit. He’d woken his brother up...
“I’m sorry...”
In the background was the rustling of sheets, he picked up on the sound of the switch on Shiro’s lamp flicking on
“Hey, kiddo. What’s going on?”
What wasn’t going on...
“Keith? Hey... What happened? Is it Lance?”
“Shiro... I don’t know what to do”
Kosmo whined softly at his distress. Keith’s right hand moving to hug his best boy close
“I’m sure it’ll be okay. What happened?”
“I... I walked on him feeding... and there was so much blood. He was covered in blood. He wasn’t even... even aware of it. He didn’t remember coming down. I don’t know if he even remembers the party... I put him back to bed, but I don’t know what to do...”
In the background Curtis asked it was Keith, Shiro covering the bottom of his phone as he replied it was. Now he’d gone and disturbed Curtis too
“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have called...”
“Hey, no. No. You’re my little brother. I want you to rely on me. When you say you walked in on Lance, was he acting differently?”
“It was like he wasn’t even there. No. It was like I wasn’t there... He was so hungry...”
“Did he hurt you?”
“No. The moment he realised I was there he started panicking because he was covered in blood”
“How much blood are we talking about?”
“I threw out 10 bags... well, the remains of 10 bags. He tore into them as if he hadn’t eaten for ages”
In the background he heard Curtis asking for him to put Keith on speaker phone. He wanted to talk to his brother, not so much Curtis
“Hey, Keith. Does Lance have any other symptoms? Any bleeding? Changes in temperature?”
“No. No, I checked...”
“Okay. That’s a really good sign. Let him sleep for now. If his temperature drops or if he develops a fever, then call Coran”
Right. Curtis had originally been Lance’s babysitter. He didn’t doubt Curtis was lying to soothe him, but the curse would have handy right now
“Okay”
“Good. I know you’re worried about him, but he’s honestly better when you’re with him. I’ll let you get back to talking to Shiro, you don’t need me eavesdropping”
Keith instantly felt bad all over again. Shiro the one to the leave the bedroom, instead of Curtis as he told him to go back to sleep. A few moments passed before Keith heard the sounds of Shiro sitting on the sofa
“Sorry, kiddo. You know how much he likes Lance”
“I’m the one who’s sorry... I woke you up”
“Keith, you’re my brother. I’m glad I can here for you. What are you thinking?”
“That I could really use a hug right now”
“Oh, kiddo. This is Lance, he’ll be okay”
“But what if he’s not? He hasn’t been feeling well”
“I’m sure if it was serious he would have gone to Coran...”
“This him, he doesn’t want a fuss...”
Lance was so stupidly pigheaded about his desires not to be fussed over. He’d been so strong... now he was weakened
“Stop letting your head get the better of you”
“I didn’t say anything”
“I know you, kiddo. If he’s not better by the morning, bring him to Garrison. I know you’re going to worry yourself sick, but being there is the best thing you can do for him and your twins”
“Is... am I enough?”
“Keith, you’ll always be enough. He adores you. I might not have approved to begin with, but Lance has proven time and time again that he loves you. I know it’s tough, kiddo, but soon you’ll be father to your twins. You and Lance are going to get through this”
“God, I hope so...”
“You will. Now, get some rest. Lance is going to worry about you if look shitty in the morning”
“Lance always worries”
“Maybe we should get him a trophy for that?”
Keith gave a wet snort. If they were to do that, they’d constantly be trading the damn thing back and forth..
“Let’s not. Shiro... I’m worried for him”
“I know, kiddo. But this is Lance. He’s stronger than he looks. If he’s not better by morning, follow your gut instincts”
“I don’t know what my instincts are saying”
“They’re saying you’ll make the right call. Try to get some sleep”
“Yeah. I will... thanks, Shiro”
“Anytime, kiddo. Let me know it goes?”
“Yeah. I will”
Ending his call with Shiro, Keith tossed his phone to the other end of the sofa. Kosmo patiently sitting, still hugged close
“What do you think I should do?”
Trying to lick at his face, Kosmo wanted pats, not to be giving out life advice
“Yeah. I guess I’ll try get some sleep. The last two days have been a lot”
Training with Lotor. His talk with his mother. Seeing his father again. His talk with Lance. The party. Lance covered in blood. Yeah. He really should go to bed. If anything happened, he’d be there for Lance... hopefully making the right call in waiting until the morning.

Marry Me
ao3
Keith stabbed through the heart of a bot, nearly tucking and rolling to dodge any laser fire to slice through the legs of another bot.
His team's war cries echoed around him, slowly overtaking the flight hanger they were holed up in. In the corner of his eye he spotted Allura using her whip to fling the Galra droids into each other, herding them into groups to take them out faster.
Behind her the disembodied torso of one of the bots she cut through with her whip aimed, the sound of the blaster melting into the background.
His luxite sword hit its mark just as the blaster was shot out of its hand.
His heart stumbled as he heard the loud whoop in his ear.
"Keith! Babe! We are so in sync. Go grab your blade, I got you."
Keith didn't bother to respond, his heated cheeks saying enough as it is. And if there's literally no way for Lance to see how much he's affected... It's not his problem.
He could hear the sounds of droids dropping around him, could practically hear the sound of Lance's smile from his sniper perch. Stupidly proud to have his back.
Never mind that Keith's stupidly proud to have him at his back.
He grabbed his second sword and swiped his way through to Pidge to give her some cover. Duel-wielding his two swords with practiced ease, leaving behind mangled robots in his wake, their circuits and wires spilled out of them like blood.
Pidge made a small sound of victory as the last of her code infiltrated the Galra ship, infecting it like a virus. Their ships shutting down and overloading, sparks flying through the air.
The ship wouldn't be able to produce any more droids so they just had whatever was left to deal with. Simple enough to defeat the rest and take out the rest of the supplies, the sole captain already in the hands of the BOM.
He lets Pidge and Allura take out the last of them, turning around to see if he could spot Lance only to find him right behind him, smile blinding, hands reaching and—
Oh
Lance was still smiling when he broke the kiss, Keith's helmet somewhere on the floor along with Lance's.
His hands were in his hair, stroking and gentle on his scalp. Keith couldn't help but lean into the touch, the barest smile on his lips as Lance grinned at him like a fool.
"You're beautiful," he said, "marry me."
Keith snorted. "Let's get back to the castle. I'm not marrying you on a Galra ship."
"Ah! But you will marry me!" Lance crowed, smug. Ignoring their friends' groans and complaints to hurry.
Keith could only roll his eyes and tug him along.
-
Keith was used to Lance's pranks and jokes. Some were received with a few good laughs. A much-needed break from the Herculean task of saving the universe. A lifting of spirits.
Most were met with rolled eyes and groans and a "really, Lance? Really?" But still as needed and valued along with the others if not more so. Less of a release of tension and more of a gentle reminder that they're young. Barely adults and still cringey in the way only youth can be.
Lance asking to marry him was no exception.
Except, the more Keith heard it the more he wished it was.
-
The first time he said it it was during training.
It was the exercise where they had to cover each other’s backs. All grouped up back to back in a semi-circle as little droids surrounded them from all sides. For the most part, they’ve all been through so much together that developing that sixth sense of where your teammates were became second nature. Some otherworldly instinct far beyond his capacity to explain the gut feeling of diving in-between your friend and laser before it even left the bot.
Even with the lion switch and Allura’s more prominent presence out in the field didn’t hold them back for long. War didn’t allow for such luxuries.
While that instinct was there for everyone on his team, strong and stable and solid as steel from the constant drills, it had nothing on the synchronization he had with Lance.
If he was grasping at straws to try to explain the strange connection he had with the rest of the team then it was completely hopeless trying to describe the link he had with Lance.
Maybe it was because of Lance being his right-hand man or some mystical magical Altean magic. Maybe the lions or how often they were in those mind meld things but somehow whenever they were on the battlefield they just slotted into place. Their bond, forged by circumstance and fine-tuned and beaten by understanding, friendship, and eventually love, made whatever they had come naturally as if they were an extension of the other.
It was because of that connection that he was able to tackle Lance out of the way of a laser, leaving him on the floor winded while Keith was crouched above him shield up and ready.
Because of that one instance that Lance looked up at Keith with something indescribable on his face. That he— almost subconsciously, breathed,
“Marry me.”
-
He obviously said no.
Well…. Not no. Just not a yes. They were still kids, and had an entire war yawning off into the distance in front of them. It wasn’t the time or the place.
Though, for a while, he worried if he just threw away his only chance at saying yes.
-
He didn’t have to worry.
There were so many countless times Lance asked him to marry him. He would need the entire coalition’s various appendages to count them all.
He asked during training, when they were eating, after a nap, before a mission, after a mission, whispered before bed, loud and dramatic relaxing with the team. Really, any time it suited him. Random and spontaneous. Every time it was a little different but there were still patterns.
Keith noticed he would get more proposals during mundane activities. He could just be hanging out with the team or eating leftover food goo from the fridge and there would eventually be a “Keith, marry me” coming a second later.
He noticed that Lance would be louder and more dramatic when they came during team bonding time. Loudly declaring his love and proposals when it best suited him or whenever Keith agreed with him, drawing out laughs and eye rolls alike-
His favorite proposals were then they were by themselves. When the night was quiet and Lance looked at him with an intensity in his eyes that Keith almost forgets they’re jokes. Whispered, declared, reverent, demanding, each time silencing the voice in Keith’s head telling him not yet not yet not yet.
He desperately asks back, when?
-
The last time he said it it’s like this.
He was kneeling on one knee and had a ring.
That’s all he’s got. He can’t remember much else besides that Lance was kneeling. And that there was a ring. Just those two bits sent him into information overload, the rest of the details filter in later.
“Keith,” he said, with a little laugh, tears already budding in his eyes. “Babe, please, look at me.”
He didn’t even realize he closed his eyes. He could still see him clear as day in the center of his mind. And there’s the rest of the details. Something in his mind doing its job, some vague order registering where they were and what it felt like because it was somehow important so he remembered everything that was happening.
The desert sun purpling around them, stars slowly winking into existence, right in front of his run down and falling apart shack. Lance in the center of it all with a teary grin and a diamond ring. His heart beating out of his check and up into his throat.
He squeezed his eyes tighter, refusing to let any tears escape. He relented when a gentle hand grasped him and two drops slipped out, the rest threatening to follow when he saw Lance’s eyes overflowing. He tried to glare. “This better not be a joke, McClain.”
Lance laughed again, eyes spilling again and mopping them up with a sleeve. “It was never a joke. Not with you. Ever since the first time I meant it, every single one.”
Keith could barely say his name, choking around the syllable, cracking in the middle, a mangled version of his favorite word. ”La—ance.”
He got up, hand cupping his cheek, thumb wiping away the tears. Keith’s breath hitched at the gentle pressure of Lance’s forehead against his, at the warm breath fanning over his lips, at the revered words whispered into the space between only for him. “You are it for me. You got that, Kogane? You are it and I knew that years ago. And ever since I asked you to marry me, so one last time, yeah?” His breath was shaky but his voice was steady like it always had been. “Keith, will you marry me?”
Swallowing hard, he nodded, almost like he was nuzzling his head against Lance’s. “Yes.”

Love After the Fact Chapter 2: First Sight
Lance sees Keith for the first time. It’s not as horrible as he expected... At least, not in the way he expected...
Note: This fic is 100% free from underage/ non-consensual sexual activity
First   Previous   Next
Adam, Lance’s attendant, opens the doors to the throne room with all his usual flair. “Presenting Emperor Zarkon and Empress Honerva of House Diabazaal, Prince Lotor and Princess Allura of House Daibazaal, Lord Yurak of House Kogane of Daibazaal, and Captain Takashi of House Shirogane of Daibazaal.”
And they enter. Adam leads them up the long blue carpet to the dais. Lance registers a frown when he meets his attendant's eyes. He raises a silver eyebrow. When the Altean reaches the dais, he whispers up to him, "Oh you'll see in a moment. You're gonna love this."
Lance finds his sister first, bypassing the Imperial couple -Who cares?- in favor of Allura. Beautiful, with the same silver-white hair as the rest of their family and her husband, Lotor. The other half of their parents’ bargain. Allura is already looking his way, beaming, delighted to see him. It’s been a deacphoeb since Lance has seen her. He wishes Romelle had been permitted to come, but she's not technically royalty. Not yet... Allura and Lotor really need to get on that.
Prince Lotor catches his eye and winks, grinning. Lance manages a small smile. Lotor can -and does- come off as smarmy, but the man has his moments. In the past year, the two princes have struck up a correspondence, already preparing for when they succeed their fathers. They’ve become fast friends.
And then... Lord Yorak. Smaller than most of his kind, shorter, more slender. Soft-looking violet fur, a long tail, feline ears poking out of thick black hair hanging in a braid down his back. The Galra’s eyes catch his attention: glittering like amethysts, there’s an intensity in them that makes Lance shiver. It scares him more than any physical threat the Galra might pose.
He wears Altean clothes, much the same as Lance's, though the detailing is black, red and gold. His gossamer cloak is red. His gloves are missing. The poor seamsmaster has already come to the Kings, crying about the future prince defiling their work.
Lance isn’t sure what to make of it.
Lord Yorak is positively diminutive compared to his companion, a mountain of a Galra, a wall of muscle and grey eyes staring directly at Lance. Lance notices how Adam edges closer to him when Captain Shirogane approaches. Apparently his attendant finds him scary too.
“Alfor, Coran, my old friends,” Emperor Zarkon booms, breaking Lance’s focus. “It’s been too long.” Alfor beams as if they hadn’t grown up learning how best to murder the other’s species. Lance knows from personal experience that they had. Milophoebs of war will do that. Looking to Lord Yorak again, Lance can still remember his lessons on where the Galra’s vital organs and major blood vessels are located. A part of him fears it might still come in handy.
“Welcome, Zarkon. It’s wonderful to have you all here. Truly, a day for celebration. Allow me to introduce my son, Crown Prince Lancel of Altea.” They’ve already met, but last time, it hadn’t been about him. It had been about Lotor and Allura. Now, his presence genuinely matters. Briefly. Only until the transaction -marriage- is complete.
Zarkon smiles. “Crown Prince Lancel, it is an honor. I know it is late, but allow me to say happy birthday. I hope you found your gift agreeable.” Lance came of age only a movement ago.
“Very much so, Emperor Zarkon.” Lance draws up a small smile, thinking of the fine bow and quiver of arrows in his room. “It was a wonderful gift. I hope to go hunting soon. I’m afraid I’ve been too busy to put it to use this past movement. I’m sure you can understand.” The emperor inclines his head graciously. He understands. A royal wedding requires an absurd amount of fanfare, pandering, and nonsense. “You have brought strangers to our hall. Would you be so kind as to introduce us?”
“Ah, yes. Forgive my negligence. However, if it is acceptable, I’d like Lord Yorak and Captain Shirogane to introduce themselves.”
“Yes, of course. Please, young Lord, step forward,” Alfor says. Lance wonders how his father speaks with such authority. Lance still sounds like a boy. He still feels like a boy. He’d become a man a movement ago.
The imperial couple steps aside, Lotor and Allura following suit with a wave and a smile, and the young lord approaches the dais, followed by the Captain.
Lance’s insides twist. The closer the lord gets, the smaller he seems to become. He’s actually a spot or two shorter than Lance himself. Not yet full-grown. Brutally young. He can’t possibly be of age by Galra standards. Likely only just barely by Altean standards, like Lance himself. Lance watches the intensity in those eyes fizzle out, fear taking its place, making him look even younger. The Galra’s eyes flicker up to him for a moment, and Lance tries his best for a reassuring smile. It’s okay. I’m scared too. I don’t blame you for this. Lance is about to marry this boy. A boy .  A kit . He feels sick.
The smile seems to work, for a second later the lord composes himself, that fire returns, and he drops to one knee. The captain does the same, kneeling to the right and behind. They both place their right fist on their breast.
“Crown Prince Lancel of Altea, I am Lord Yorak of House Kogane of Daibazaal. It is a joy to finally meet you. Princess Allura has told me many wonderful things.” His voice isn’t terrible: quiet, maybe a little disused, flat. But there’s something in it that Lance finds pleasant.
“It is a joy to meet you as well, my lord. Whom have you brought with you?”
“This is Captain Takashi of House Shirogane of Daibazaal. I have brought him here with me as my familial witness in the absence of my mother. He is unrelated by blood, yet I do consider him my littermate. I pray you will find this agreeable.”
Lance slides his gaze to Alfor, who stares straight ahead, but flicks his hand. Lance understands. This is his decision. The one choice he might realistically get for himself today. And it’s still not much of a choice. He won’t make this kit stand by himself to be wed to a stranger in a strange land.
“Of course this is agreeable, Lord Yorak. Anyone that you consider family is by this day family of mine. You may both rise, and be welcome. You need never kneel before me.” Out of the corner of his eye, Lance sees Alfor nod, not in approval of Lance, but giving the men permission to do as Lance bids. Power is an illusion.
“Perhaps we might continue these salutations elsewhere while we have some time,” Coran suggests, speaking for the first time. Lance can hear the frown in his dad's voice. He glances to Adam, who meets his gaze, then gives Keith a pointed once-over. Lance nods. He sees it. He's noticed.
His future spouse is not ready for what's about to happen to him, but it's going to happen anyway. Immediately, a thousand thoughts and ideas spin themselves up in Lance's head. He imagines what his spouse will endure tonight at the banquet, how he will react to what is expected of them. He searches for work-arounds and way-outs. He needs to speak to Adam.
Keeping himself safe is not longer Lance's concern. His concern is this kit that is about to become his spouse.
"Prince Lancel?"
Lance starts, turning to his frowning fathers. "Yes? I apologize. My thoughts were elsewhere."
"We would like to take these salutations elsewhere. Is this agreeable to you?"
"Of course." Lance inclines his head, more than happy to get Lord Yorak away from the nosy courtiers.
“The drawing room is ready, your Majesties,” Adam confirms from his place beside the dais. Later, Lance will lead the future Galra Prince of Altea up the steps of this very dais, symbolizing his ascension into the royal family. Lance grinds his teeth. He is Crown Prince of Altea and this is his duty.
He meets the burning gaze of Lord Yorak, and the Galra nods, affirming that he is here, that he can handle what is about to happen. Lance can only hope the kit is right.

Kacxa Week 2020 Day 2 - Late Night Adventures
The Melmachian Defense
SUMMARY: His family asleep, Keith sits alone with his thoughts. He is bothered by his daughter’s reaction to the story Soran told them about their parents first visit to the planet. Acxa joins him, knowing her husband is upset. To cheer him up they sneak away for what they think is a safe midnight stroll to reflect and talk. It proves to be anything but the romantic interlude they were hoping for.
NOTE: This is my entry for Day 2 of Kacxa Week 2020, and it is Part 3 of a 3-part Return to Braylar IV story line.

---------------
Kogane Campsite, Braylar IV
Keith sits quietly at the entrance to the cave, alone with his thoughts.
He looks out at the night sky, thinking back to the last time he was here, at night, staring out into the darkness. Back then, Acxa was lying on a bed of straw covered with blankets, fighting off the effects of Hyena poisoning. Narti had just arrived on the planet and, thinking Keith had taken advantage of Acxa in her debilitated state, got into a brief fight that only ended when Sonai wolves backed Narti into a corner. Later that night, Soran emerged from the cave to warn him that a storm was coming.1
He sits here, 23 decaphoebs later, staring out into the same inky darkness that is nighttime on Braylar IV. This time, there is no storm coming. This time, his family sleeps peacefully in comfortable sleeping bags behind him.
His family. The last time he was here, a family was the furthest thing from his mind. Now, somehow, he is both the husband to the prettiest woman in the universe (his opinion) and father to two beautiful, independent, and frequently rambunctious girls.
Just as before, someone emerges from the cave to join him. This time it is Acxa, come to check on her husband.
“Hey you. What’s wrong?” She sits next to him, takes his hand, and brings it to her lips.
He squeezes her hand in return. “Hey…nothing’s wrong, I just couldn’t sleep. I came here to look at the stars.”
Acxa stares up at the night sky. “And you expect me to believe that? Keith, it’s a cloudy night, there are no stars out. I’ll ask my question again. What’s wrong?”
He leans back against one of the boulders at the cave entrance and exhales deeply. “The girls’ reaction to Soran’s story tonight…they must think their father is a real jerk.”
“Keith…they think no such thing. Why would you say that?”
“Oh, let’s see. How about ‘Not exactly good boyfriend behavior’, and a sarcastic ‘wow Dad that was really romantic’ for starters.”
“Oh, for the love of…THAT’s what’s bothering you? Keith they are teenagers! Of course, they are going to think their parents are the stupidest and most awkward people in the universe! That, biologically speaking, is what happens with teenagers in every known species! They’ll grow out of it and they’ll see just how cool their incredibly awesome mother and father really are!”
Realizing that emo Keith has settled over her husband and that he is not likely to snap out of his funk on his own, she stands and grabs his hand. “Come on.”
Keith protests meekly as his wife hauls him to his feet. “Where are we going?”
“We’re going to go for a walk by that lake we passed on the way here. It’s not that far away. The clouds are breaking, and I want to see what it looks like under the two moons of this planet. Especially since the last time I was here you called me, what was the term you used…loopy?” She grabs him by the arm, pulls him close, and nuzzles his earlobe with her nose. “Besides…I need some alone time with my husband.”
“Hmm…I like how you think, woman. Bring your blaster pistol, just in case. I know the Hyenas are supposed to be gone, but you never know.”
---------------
As they leave the campsite and head down the path leading to the lake, two pair of eyes follow their progress down the hillside.
“I don’t know, Mireya. Going to the lake this time of night doesn’t sound like a good idea to me.”
“Yeah. I think we need to tell Cosmo where they are going.”
---------------
Lakeshore, Just Below the Kogane Campsite
Keith and Acxa arrive on the lakeshore and are immediately blown away by the sight of two moons shimmering on the water. The walk hand-in-hand down the beach for a quarter mile before Keith slips his arm around Acxa’s waist and pulls her close.
Stopping, they put their foreheads together and stare longingly into each other’s eyes.
“Credit for your thoughts, love.”
“Oh, I don’t know if you can handle my thoughts right now my dear.”
She purrs softly, tracing the scar on his cheek, and speaks in a low, sultry voice. “I can handle anything you bring my way, Mr. Kogane. That includes you and your thoughts. Try me.”
Their moods change in an instant as a rustling in the woods causes them to freeze. “Keith…what kind of animals are on the prowl at night on this planet?”
“The bad kind.”
They peer into the underbrush, their eyes adjusting to the ambient light of the area. Four sets of yellow eyes peer back at them.
“Keith, are they what I think they are?”
“Yeah. Hyenas.”
“Pistols or swords?”
Keith vividly remembers what happened the last time they were in close quarters combat with the Hyenas. “Pistols first. Don’t let them get too close.”
He quickly scans the area looking for a close defensive position. Finding none, he tells her to do the only thing they can do. “Move to that little spit of land sticking into the lake. The water is deep. They can’t surround us there.”
Keith and Acxa move towards the spit but are cut off as the Hyenas emerge from the forest, slowly surrounding them. Like they did 23 decaphoebs earlier, Keith and Acxa go back to back to defend against the Hyena attack.
Sensing an easy kill, the Hyena’s charge their position and get the shock of their lives. Their easy prey is ready for them.
Keith and Acxa swiftly land blaster pistol shots on all four of the hyenas. The Hyenas withdraw and, while stung by the shots from the pistols, they are by no means seriously injured by them.
“This isn’t working. We need to draw swords.”
Taking advantage of the temporary disorganization in the Hyena’s attack, they reach the spit and put the deep-water lake to their backs, so that the Hyena’s cannot surround them again.
Assessing their position and the attack tendencies of their enemies, a thought strikes Acxa. “Keith, did your mother teach you the Melmachian defensive technique?”
Keith smiles. “Yeah, one of the first ones she taught me. A bit suicidal, don’t you think? This isn’t a game of Gorblonthian Checkers we’re playing here.”
“Look wise guy, do you want to have any chance of seeing your daughters finish growing up? We’ve only got one shot at this.” She shoots him a quick glance and a wink. “You ready, Paladin?”
“Oh, yeah. Let’s do this!”
Still stinging from the blaster pistol wounds, the Hyenas charge their position and immediately run into a problem. The Hyenas are so large and the spit of land so narrow that only two can reach Keith and Acxa at a time.
The pair swing their Blades in unison, stopping the first two Hyenas charging at them in their tracks. As the wounded Hyenas struggle to scamper backwards and get away, they stumble over the ones behind them.
“ACXA NOW!”
Taking advantage of the Hyena’s temporary confusion, Keith and Acxa charge towards the retreating animals. Nimbly clambering up the flanks of the wounded Hyenas before the startled animals realize what they are doing, they hurl themselves into the air and in mid somersault land solid Blade blows across the backs of the third and fourth Hyenas.
As the four wounded animals fall back to regroup, Keith and Acxa do the same and make their way back onto the narrow spit of land.
“I think it might have worked.”
Keith casts his gaze towards the snarling and drooling Hyenas. “Actually I think we just pissed them off. They don’t look happy.”
Before the wounded and now incredibly angry Hyenas can mount another charge, five bright flashes of light erupt in front of them. Their eyes clearing as their night vision returns, the Hyenas four wounded Hyenas find themselves confronted by five exceptionally large Sonai Dire Wolf males
A sixth Sonai Dire Wolf, Corima, appears. On her back are Keith and Acxa’s daughters Mireya and Cataleya.
The Sonai males growl and bare their fangs at the wounded Hyenas. After some pawing of the ground and a back-and-forth exchange of growls and snarls, the Hyenas retreat into the forest.
---------------
Cosmo quickly approaches Keith and Acxa as the males stand watch on the forest trails leading to the beach
“Are you two ok?”
“Yes, we’re fine. Sorry, Cosmo. When you told us the Hyenas had moved on, we thought it would be safe to come down here.”
“Yes Keith, but what I should have also told you is that they test our defenses every now and then. You two just happened to go for a stroll during one of their tests. When Mireya and Cataleya told us where you were, I knew there would be trouble. We got here as soon as I could round up some help. So…would you mind telling me why you two are down here in the first place?”
Keith and Acxa both visibly blush as they exchange awkward glances. Keith turns back to Cosmo to respond, but the crafty alpha male already has the answer to his question.
“Never mind, let me guess.” He sniffs the air, then looks disapprovingly at the pair. “Two people, alone by the lake, on a moonlit night. No need to tell me why you are here, I can smell the pheromones on you both. Great stars you two!”
Corima strides up to them, and not a moment too soon as far as Acxa is concerned. “Apologies, Acxa. Your pups told us where you and Keith were going. After they told Cosmo and I, they insisted on coming to help and make sure you were ok.”
“I see.”
Acxa looks sternly at her daughters.
“Your father and I will deal with you two back at the campsite.”
---------------
Kogane Campsite, Braylar IV
“So, you eavesdropped on a private conversation between your mother and I?”
The girls look down at the ground, dejectedly. “Sorry Dad. We heard you and Mom talking. You sounded upset. We wanted to make sure you were ok.”
“So, what did you hear?”
Cataleya hesitates before shyly looking at her mother to answer her question. “Pretty much everything.”
Acxa buries her face in her hand in embarrassment as Keith crosses his arms. “I see.”
“Dad, I know you’re not happy with us for listening in. We’re sorry for violating your privacy. But…if we hadn’t…I don’t want to think about might have happened to you and Mom.”
Acxa crosses her arms and looks to her husband. “She has a point, Keith.”
“Yes, she does. Ok. I think that’s enough excitement for one night. Let’s all try to get some sleep.”
As the girls slink off towards their sleeping bags, they stop and turn back to face their parents.
“For the record Dad, Cataleya and I don’t think you or Mom are jerks, or the stupidest people in the universe. What you and Mom did tonight… wanting to be alone together and taking a romantic moonlit walk on a lakeshore…that was cool. Not giving a crap about the killer Hyenas on the prowl…ok, sorry, that was stupid. But then using a suicidal Blade of Marmora defensive tactic to fight them off…that was quiznacking awesome!”
“Yeah. Mom, Dad, you guys are pretty special.”
Keith and Acxa rush forward and pull the girls in for a group hug. Acxa’s eyes fill as she kisses each of her daughters on their foreheads.
“You two are pretty special as well.”
END NOTES: The full story of Keith and Acxa’s first visit to Braylar IV, when they were still on opposite sides, is found in Chapter 11 of Return of the Prince (Chapter title is Cry of the Wolf)
In the story yu’ve just read the Kacxa daughters are 16 years old. They are entering what I call the Mark Twain years. According to my father, Mark Twain supposedly related the following anecdote to a friend. “When I was 16 years old, I thought my father was the dumbest man on the planet. When I turned 21, I was amazed at how much he learned in 5 years.”
In my experience with my own father, I have to say Mark Twain was right. Dad, this one is for you.

Horrid Self Indulgence
Wrote this long thing and now it’s gone cause I posted it to the wrong account and copy paste didn’t work so /fuck me/ anyway.
The whole following fic is purely self indulgent garbage, thus the name (it’s even called this in my google docs because I HAD A PLAN for what I was doing and it was supposed to be insanity) though as usual things get derailed and Idk. I had wanted to get into the hijinks of this concept but lost steam after starting the second bit. But the first bit can stand alone. ish. I guess.
Idk. It’s all completely ridiculous though so idk have fun.
Klance, slightly intoxicated, sharing a bed, Keith is uncomfortable AF and Lance is trying to be chill about it. Weird head shit and accidental rituals. You’ll see. Seriously. Horrid self indulgence.
-----
It was a pleasant moment between comrades that went horribly, heinously, horrifically wrong.
And if that’s what bonding with Keith friggin Kogane gets him then absolutely not, never again.
It was such a simple stupid fuck up. How was he supposed to know?!
They were at a dinner, stumbling awkwardly through an alien planets customs, trying unsuccessfully to pretend they were okay with the garbs they’d been forced to wear and that the food didn’t make them nauseous when Lance had made the biggest mistake ever and looked at Keith.
See, because he was the leader his attire had to display this-this—nobility. And god, Keith was anything but noble. He was sitting to the right of the planet’s leader, Allura across from him, and he looked like they might as well have sat him at the kids table with how his brows furrowed and he looked at the ground like he was trying not to cry.
His face was red enough to match the silk scarf loosely clinging to his shoulders and his thumbs rubbed absently over his ungloved hands. He was bare aside from the scarf and a darker one wrapped around his waist for modesty that he’d had to fight for. Apparently this planet had no concept of an external penis or whatever and needed to be educated on human biology before they gave in to Keith’s demands.
The whole thing was about respect, leaving yourself bare to show you had nothing to hide, but to remind everyone of his station the locals had him decked out in jewels from head to toe. They were braided into his hair, dangling from thin chains across his chest, Lance was positive there was some sort of jeweled sandal decorating his tiny delicate toes too.
(And not because he paid attention to that sort of thing. Just. Ya know. Shiny shit.)
Allura was actually dressed about the same though being a woman with no external penises she was actually way nakeder than Keith. And, as she was a full on princess they’d given her a whole slew of silver that had strategically covered all necessary bits that Lance’s mother might have flinched at.
Not that Allura seemed to give a fuck in the slightest and even seemed to enjoy it as she spoke animatedly to the world leaders, the jewels on her body making small clinking noises with every movement.
Lance had spotted perfect (and he means perfect) dark nipples exactly 16 times since they’d all sat down to their meal and absolutely couldn’t take it anymore so that was when he’d turned his attention to Keith.
And somehow had been unable to turn away from him since.
The other Paladins were stripped some and given a few shiny baubles. Lance himself was wearing flowy pants slit up the sides over the dark boxers he’d thankfully been allowed to continue wearing. A couple gold plated necklaces and an arm band and he was good to go. Lance has no issue being topless and actually kinda liked the style. Hunk was a bit more uncomfortable, same pants, same boxer treatment (his were white with yellow suns on them, Lance clapped him on the back for unintentionally matching.)
Hunk had the same kind of jewelry too but try all he might he couldn’t drop his hands from where they were wrapped around his chest.
He said he was cold repeatedly but lance figured he was just self conscious and offered him plenty of wolf whistles back in their dressing rooms because “man hunk you wanna bench press me later cause those arms are making me weak~!”
But sadly it didn’t seem to work.
Pidge was an interesting sell. Same bottom situation in her signature green but she’d also managed to get away with a pair of socks that she was no longer wearing on her feet.
They were providing just a hint more cover for her chest after she’d wrapped Lance’s, Hunks’s, and her own scarf around herself like a makeshift halter top. The locals hadn’t liked it and Allura had tried to explain that female breasts were nothing to be ashamed of but Pidge’s size and thus assumed age had granted her the “let the child be” excuse.
And sure, Lance was a grown man who was all for equality and free the nipple and aaallll that jazz but if they had forced his pseudo baby sister to go topless he might have lost his absolute shit and gotten them all sent back to the castle.
Not that that would have been the worst thing at this point because then he wouldn’t be staring at Keith like this— to avoid staring at Allura! Of course— and then he wouldn’t have gotten elbowed in the side by the Pidgeling and gotten the funny look from Hunk and nah man okay.
Lance wasn’t ogling the leader of voltron.
He wasn’t.
He was just.
Uh.
Worried about him.
Yeah, that’s right. Worried.
Which was what lead him to follow Keith’s retreating form the second they were allowed to adjourn for the night.
It’s what compelled him to bump his shoulder and wave a hand in greeting.
And maybe that pout had something to do with Lance’s laughing, throwing his arm over his shoulders, and ushering him to his room for the night.
“Come on dude, I've got something for you, stashed from that one planet with the abomination? You know the one… Kell? Krell? It’s good okay, better than what they just tried to feed us. Take the edge off.”
Take the edge off.
Famous last words?
Keith groaned and wrapped his arms around himself tightly but nodded and willingly turned off course from his own room. Lance wondered if this was so easy because he’d been so beaten down by the day or because he actually found solace in Lance’s company.
He didn’t have the nerve to ask and instead simply sauntered into his room, leaving Keith to stand idly by the newly shut door.
“It tastes better than nunville but it’s a little stronger so you’re gonna wanna sip at it okay?”
Keith nodded but his eyes looked glassy, like he wasn’t actually listening.
Lance moved to his temporary rooms vanity setting and shuffled through his bottles of toiletries. When they’d decided to indulge the locals in their customs and stay a few nights basking in their hospitality Lance had been told to pack quickly but he hadn’t forgotten anything important. This included the little silver pouch that he’d somehow barely touched since keeping it with him all this time.
He opened the pull top with his teeth to take a small sip before offering it to Keith who was still standing right against the door as if he was afraid to move. Considering how loose the scarf around his waist looked, he might have been.
He did look… good though.
Remarkably so.
Amidst the finery and the sheer and silk fabrics, his hair in a loose braid over one shoulder and that almost permanent flush across his cheeks, he was beautiful and adorable and stunning all at once and it was doing ridiculous things to Lance’s chest. He almost regretted taking the sip that he did because he worried about what he might let slip aloud, looking at Keith like that, but as the alien substance travelled down his throat and warmed his body he kept his wits. He felt the buzzing under his skin but retained his sense. He was here to offer Keith a moment to relax. Nothing more.
He walked over to Keith and instead of handing him the pouch he resealed it and held it softly under one arm as he reached out with both hands for Keith’s waist.
Keith flinched so hard his back hit the door, “what are you doing?!”
Lance rolled his eyes, pushing closer and grabbing on to the scarf around his waist tugging and tightening it for him.
“Looked like you were having trouble.”
Keith’s flush was so hot Lance could practically feel it.
Poor thing.
“Right… thanks…” he stayed against the door but took the pouch when Lance offered it.
Lance turned to walk over to his bed and make himself comfortable and by the time he turned his attention back to Keith the boy was swallowing.
“You remembered what I said about that stuff being hard hitting… right?”
Keith shrugged.
Took another sip. (This one looked more like a sip at least. Maybe Lance wouldn’t have to carry him back to his room later.)
He sealed the stopper and looked around the room briefly before walking in the straightest line imaginable to sit on the foot of Lance’s bed, holding the pouch out to him again.
Lance considered it, wondering if it would help or hinder his case to not make a fool of himself with Keith looking like that and decided why not. Besides, he could pace himself, unlike some people.
When he finished taking his last sip, feeling the warmth and the contentment sitting in his stomach as he leaned back on his elbows on his bed, he hummed to himself and shut the top, putting it to the side.
Keith shuffled around so his back was to the bed post and he placed his hands over his lap uncomfortably.
“So uh. Was—was that it?”
“Chill Keith. You’ve been looking so tightly wound today I figured you could use a break.”
Keith visibly paled and moved to curl in on himself but thought better of it. His thumbs started to track back and forth over his fingers though. Bad sign.
“Relax!” Lance demanded, stretching the vowel sounds to make it more playful.
Keith neglected to heed this order and instead looked away.
“Look, I doubt it’ll cause any problems, everyone knows their customs made you uncomfortable. Here, if you want you can go ahead and get under the covers.” Lance reached behind him and pulled up the bed sheets. It would help his own situation too. Cover Keith and that pretty skin of his up. Put that beautiful body away because his own was starting to get ideas he didn’t need.
He remembered Allura looking just as beautiful if not more so and it helped for a second to feel better mentally but he was still fighting not to be turned on next to half naked (that was being generous) Keith.
“That might actually be… are you sure? I could just— leave. I could leave.”
Lance rolled his eyes.
“Would you chill if you left or would you stay up all night worrying about the kinds of impressions you’re leaving?”
Keith was silent. His thumb disappeared behind his pointer to dig his little blunt nail into his middle.
“Get in the bed. Let me tell you stories.”
Keith’s eyes lit up at that and for a moment he started forward to crawl across the bed toward where the sheets were up, but he stopped himself again.
Lance sighed.
“Feeling exposed?”
Keith nodded.
“You know we showered together back at the garrison right? I’ve seen you naked. Completely naked. And lathered.”
Of course, this was before Lance’s full sexual awakening and before Keith had filled out like he did with those abs and thighs for days but uh— that wasn’t a necessary addition to the conversation it just wasn’t.
Keith still flushed like a tomato and it made Lance’s little traitorous heart do a flip.
“Right right. I forget you didn’t even remember me from the garrison.” Lance offered sardonically, trying to shift the mood.
Keith bit his lip. Man, even that looked good. Lance wanted to bite that lip. He could just see it. Lip to lip with Keith Kogane groaning out. Lance’s hand on his shoulder pushing him back on the bed, the other reaching beneath him to get a nice big handful of that round perky ass—
Okay.
Okay maybe Keith shouldn’t get under the covers.
Maybe he should leave.
He should leave.
He should—
Keith started to mumble something when Lance turned away and shut his eyes.
“Alright you have ten seconds, go on princess.”
It was silent for a moment.
Lance squeezes his eyes shut tightly because this was the exact opposite of what he was supposed to be doing.
“10.”
But he was doing it.
“9”
There was the sound of Keith shuffling behind him, pulling up the sheets more and crawling into bed. He was getting comfortable by the time Lance reached 3 and Keith spoke up telling him he could stop.
Lance nodded and turned around so he could face Keith, continue conversations, see if he could find a relevant story in his brain about his family or something simple back home that would help Keith unwind.
Instead he was struck a bit dumb by Keith snuggled under his (always color coded) blue bed sheets, his inky black hair splayed out on the pillow. Lance had always thought Keith’s eyes were this remarkable shade of blue but surrounded by all the blue in his bed Lance realized he was wrong. They were clearly more of a violet, wide and staring at him under lashes that were too long and too elegant for a guy who made a living kicking furry alien chinchillas in the face.
And with that thought came the image of Keith kicking ass, those muscle toned legs under skin tight space suits…
Now basically bare and in his bed.
Naked.
Naked Keith in his bed.
Naked Keith in his bed staring at him expectantly like— like—
Right. Right he was waiting for a story.
Okay.
Lance flopped onto his side, too close to Keith but in an effort to remain comfortable and casual it had to be done, and went back to racking his mind for an idea that didn’t involve pressing his body as close to Keith’s as physically possible.
Something jingled as he went down and he remembered the abundance of jewels that had been decorating Keith’s body.
There were still a few left in his hair that he seemed to not care about but it looked like the little jeweled sandals were there, as were the ones that had decorated his arms.
It took him a second but Lance scooped them up and put them on the bedside table before getting comfortable again.
“Oh okay so, let me tell you about the time my big sister Veronica brought home the biggest stupidest “boyfriend” she could find…”
Lance could see Keith smile just beneath the blanket.
He reached out and started to pick the jewels out of Keith’s hair as he spoke, occasionally running his fingers through it. If Keith had a complaint he didn’t voice it. Besides, just because it was styled stupid didn’t make it any less soft.
By the time Lance got to the big reveal of the story, the part where Veronica had hired the guy to piss off their dad over an argument they’d had about Veronica’s openness to bringing a girlfriend home (maybe, in the future), Keith had completely knocked out.
And for some reason, Lance thought that was alright.
They could totally just. Sleep in the same bed. No problem.
With Keith wearing nothing but a silk scarf.
He thought this was a perfectly good idea as he showered and put on a fresh pair of boxers and crawled under his sheets to the sound of Keith’s light breathing.
He was a little dizzy, but forgot that the biggest after effect of inebriation was poor judgement, and easily curled up next to Keith.
Keith, who was just awake enough to take Lance’s hand.
Lance thought it was adorable.
Because Keith was adorable.
And Lance wanted to be touching his skin like this (sort of) anyway.
It worked for him.
He was sleepy too.
So sleepy he lapsed almost instantly into dreams.
Dreams of Allura dancing just out of his reach. Of her nonchalance at his flirting and efforts to be noticed by her. Making him feel useless. Undesirable. Unworthy.
He was so pathetic.
Keith’s voice was in his head.
Telling him how kind he was. How sweet he was.
“I couldn’t do any of this without you Lance.”
“I need you.”
“I hope you know that. I hope you know that—if you could see yourself how I see you…”
“Lance you’re so…”
“I want…”
“I wish…”
Keith was at his side. Mumbling those nothings into his ear in little breathy sighs.
It felt nice.
It was nice to hear.
Nice to feel Keith pressing in beside him.
“I wish you could see what I see in you… love yourself as much as I do...Lance, I…”
Well this was awfully self indulgent of him. Dreaming of a Keith who would say those kinds of things. As if the real Keith capital L Loved him.
Like Lance hadn’t spent years trying to get his attention the same way he had with Allura too.
As if he hadn’t gotten shot down with every attempt to—
“I liked you then too! I was just… afraid to let anyone in…”
“Liar, you didn’t even remember me.”
“That was the lie…”
“That was…?”
“You were so cute… always trying so hard… always going the extra effort to make people smile or laugh… I always thought you were…”
“You liked me back at the garrison? Like... one smoothie two straws, like-like…?”
Keith turned away, rolling onto his side. Face probably flushed a deep crimson again. Man he was so cute…!
“Like write your name in my notebook with a bunch of hearts, like-like… yeah.”
Extremely self indulgent dream.
But Lance was gonna take it.
He squeezed himself close to Keith’s body, wrapping an arm around his chest as Keith jumped.
“And now you…?”
“Now I…”
It was silent.
Lance tried to ignore how perfectly Keith’s ass cheeks felt pressed to his crotch.
He felt naked.
Naked Keith in his bed. Saying all these pretty hopeful things...What a perfect dream…
Lance gently bumped his hips. He couldn’t help it, and it was his dream after all right?
Keith was silent, but reached a hand back to slide down Lance’s waist, breathing loud.
Was that how Lance’s mind worked? Show me a love confession followed by an immediate bone.
Lance’s wet dreams were clearly things of substance.
“Do you love me?”
He bumped his hips again. His dick hardening fast.
Keith’s fingers dug into Lance’s boxers, applying just enough pressure to drive him forward, keep him pressed to his ass.
“I do… do you…?”
“Hmm… never thought about it before.”
Keith made a low unhappy noise.
“I def love your face… your so fucking pretty face…”
Keith went silent again. Lance ground his hips against him and his hard cock was finding a very comfortable place right between his cheeks.
“And I love this body...your ass is heaven, Keith, wish you could feel this...”
Keith was definitely naked. Naked enough that Lance was desperate to get out of his boxers.
How could his dream provide him perfectly naked love confessing Keith and not leave Lance equally perfectly naked?
Sense, where was it?
“I love how brave you are… stupid and reckless and it drives me insane with worry. But brave.”
Keith backed into Lance’s lap, rolling his hips and made Lance’s mind stutter.
“I love how—how much you care about things even when you don’t show it… I love your laugh…”
He could feel Keith’s entire body against his front, a single useless silk scarf around his waist, the rest probably lost somewhere in the bed. His hand found one of Keith’s nipples and he started to slowly rub his fingers around the nub causing Keith to raise his chest into the touch a bit more with a small high pitched sound.
“I love how you hum during flight simulations and I always leave coms open so I can hear you…”
With Keith raising his chest for Lance’s hand it gave him a moment to slip his other hand underneath him. He pinched his nipple between his thumb and forefinger once before sliding that first hand down the span of his body. Feather light touches over the ridges of his abs, loving the way Keith twitched and rocked harder back into Lance.
“I love how unbelievably dense you could be sometimes, you’re such a mess you’re perfect—” Lance moved his head so he was right against Keith’s ear for the word “perfect” but lost his nerve when he dropped his face into the back of Keith’s neck, “What am I saying… of course I love you.”
Did Lance have feelings for Allura? Yes. Did he wish she’d reciprocate? Yeah.
Did Lance feel guilty about indulging himself in a dream with someone who he also had some very strong (possibly stronger) feelings for? No, not at all.
Because real talk? If Keith had said half of this in real life Lance’s heart would have combusted and he would have kissed the life out of him by now—
Because that was just what Keith did to him sometimes.
He just… blew his mind with how much he could make Lance feel.
Christ.
Good lord.
He hadn’t taken advantage of the opportunity to kiss him yet.
He reached up with the arm that was beneath Keith, his hand spreading wide over his neck to grab his jaw and tentatively guide him to face him.
“Can I kiss you?”
Keith’s hips ground back hard as he laughed, “you’re asking that now?”
He was right.
Besides, kinda stupid to ask permission from a dream right?
“Stupid stupid me, right?”
“Stop that.”
“Right let’s get to the smooching.”
“Yeah alright I take it back.”
“If you love me you have to love all of me.”
Lance could practically hear Keith rolling his eyes.
“Hey it’s my dream—“
And it was absolutely superpowered. Maybe there was something in his drink that had different properties on this planet because when Keith parted his lips and lifted his head they had never looked so inviting in his life. He had to stop himself mid sentence to dive for those lips.
Smashed up his nose a little bit on Keith’s cheek which he was sure he would have felt too if this wasn’t a dream but Lance didn’t care because he was kissing Keith Kogane.
And yes. He’d had plenty of dreams where he’d kissed Keith. Plenty of dreams where they’d made out on the rec room floor or the garrison showers or had sex in reds cockpit.
But they had never ever felt like this.
His brain practically fizzled out.
He felt Keith’s tongue against his and then suddenly it was gone.
Felt like he was falling, disoriented. Someone (Keith?) reached out to catch him. Dug little blunt nails into his arm in panic.
“Lance—what—“
The dream shifted. Lance was alone, floating in an empty pool, naked and confused and annoyed.
The water was cold but didn’t make him shiver.
There was a splash in the distance, and Lance hoped it was Keith but he couldn’t see anything. Time passed and he started to lose sense of where he or the water began.
He’d have given anything to be back with Keith.
What a shitty way to end his dream…
When he woke up his throat was dry, like he’d had too much to drink the night before and his head spun a bit.
He sat up and found he was on the far side of the bed where Keith had gone to sleep. Didn’t even see Keith, so maybe he’d gotten up earlier and Lance had managed to settle into place where his body heat had been.
Of course that was for mere moments before he glanced to the opposite side of his bed and found… himself?
He also realized very suddenly he was buttnaked with only a silk scarf tied loosely around his hips and his hair was long enough to tickle his shoulders.
He looked down at himself and saw the expanse of absolutely flawless Keith body, down to the little dark hairs just under that useless scarf.
Lance wasn’t sure why he did it, but he reached down to grab himself in his palm (Keith in Keith’s palm??) And was immediately overwhelmed by the sensation of it. He had to bite his lip to keep quiet and fell back on the bed hard as his hand tightened to seek out the feeling. He was partially hard already and from the feeling of it he must have been suffering all night.
But excuse you Lance. This isn’t your body what are you doing?
Dreaming? Still? Could have sworn he was very much awake now…
He forced himself to stop, noting quietly that he was absolutely not going to forget what it felt like, and looked over at his own body.
Had to be a dream.
Had to be.
He shut his eyes, letting his finger tips graze over the inside of Keith’s thighs because dream or no there were so many nice things about that he was gonna keep doing it.
Well until someone shook him awake (again?)
It was strange seeing an expression that was so clearly Keith, puzzled with furrowed brows and tight lips, on his own face.
But there it was.
Staring at him like he was the strangest mystery in the known universe. Which, to be fair, if he was still wearing Keith’s face he kind of was. (And kind of had to be considering he definitely wasn’t the one wearing his own face.)
Keith (you know, it felt like Keith and acted like Keith, but he really didn’t know if that was Keith) was the first to register the shock of the mornings revelation. Lance actually felt kinda slow and confused. Maybe he’d drank too much— no wait, Keith did.
Anyway.
So.
Keith started screaming. And Lance started screaming.
And maybe that wasn’t a great idea while guests on a diplomatic mission in another world palace with your comrades in arms down the hall while you’re both pretty naked and in bed together.
But uh.
Fun morning.
