What's On Air Island?

On Air Island is a game I'm currently brainrotting about.

The genre is stated as horror/thriller but even if you're not a fan of these genres id say still check it out because im not a fan either and Yet

This is perhaps because the game has a strong mystery element and encourages multiple replays/going back to try out different options (theres a really comfortable to use mechanic for that too!) so theres this drive to uncover more of the story. Which is why I'm still playing despite having finished all 40 endings already (yes, thats forty endings)

Quick plot blurb: the plot follows the cast and crew of a survival show called 'Never Stop Watching!' set up on a remote island. The show's unique setting is that every cast member streams their experience, and the winner is determined by the number of donations they receive on their stream. However, the island is not as simple as it appears, and soon enough the rankings will be the least of the cast's problems! (Que horror/thriller elements)

Why interactive Let's Play?

The thing I found the most refreshing about OAI is that you, the player, do not play as the protagonist, but rather as one of the viewers on the protagonist's stream. When the absence of 'i would not fucking say/do that' experience hits lol. Because of such setting, aside from the main cast, the presence of Observers - the fellow viewers - is strongly felt throughout the story as well. EzraHanse girlies in the chat you will always be famous. And... sometimes other Observers have completely different ideas about what's good for blorbo from your streams!

Then, since I run a poll aggregator blog and see like hundreds of polls a day, the vision of in-game choices and tumblr polls overlapped in my brain...

...and I thought, hey, wouldn't it be extremely atmospheric and true to in-game experience to have a bunch of people chipping in to determine the advice and tasks the protagonist receives from his viewers? Thus, the idea of doing an interactive lets play was born.

What are the pros of participating in the Let's Play, instead of just playing the game?

Well, first of all, this is absolutely my dastardly plan to make y'all play the game, make no mistake!

That said, if you aren't sure you are interested in playing it, you can experience the story in bite-sized chunks (i just vidded the prologue up to the first choice, and its less than 2 minutes!) on a semi-daily basis, with a little dopamine hit of clickin' the button at the end <3

Another thing is that making 'a donation' - ie, a choice in game - requires in-game currency. There are various ways to farm currency and there are almost always cheaper choices available, however! Since I already played and replayed multiple times, I have many choices unlocked, and it'll be easy for me to farm for the remaining ones. Especially now that I got all the endings and the desire to find the best one no longer plagues me so. So - you can experience the game while avoiding the grind!

And, ofc, as I've mentioned before, having many viewers/Observers would be very true to the atmosphere of the game. Ideally, I would hope for some discussion in the comments too, to parallel the in-game chat! This is also why I hope people who already played the game will participate too 👉👈 The more Observers we have the better, right? ;3

What if I don't vibe with watching videos / miss something / etc?

I'm planning to have a transcript available for each video, and something like a story-so-far post that you can check out to get up to date at any point. I also figure I'll be adjusting the format along the way, if we can get this party started at all, so feel free to suggest improvements to me at any time!

there's this one vid of my dad behind the camera and he's saying in french "you have to watch the one thing that shuts her up". and it flips to my mom holding me and im babbling in baby talk at the tv playing barney. she takes the remote wrapped in tape and chages the channel to a football match. and suddenly all baby talk stopped.

it was just me in my lil flower hat and purple onesie staring wide-eyed at the screen. the camera is too grainy so i cant make out the teams but it was definitely a football match. then my mom changes the channel back to barney and instantly it's like a switch is flipped back on and baby me starts babbling again. she switches it back to the game and boom silence.

at this point the camera spins back to my dad laughing in disbelief and the footage ends with him saying "even if she's born here she's still a real moroccan"

he shifts onto his side in the plush hotel bed, sighing. “i’m actually kind of tired, and we're leaving pretty early tomorrow."

and, no, as he lays in bed alone, he’s not sulking because his team lost by a handful of points in the third set tonight. he's not even sulking because atsumu was part of the double block that stopped his hit in second.

"just tired," he repeats. "say hey to osamu for me."

he lowers the phone from his ear and hangs up, opening up his texts to watch the video he'd just gotten to see in the locker room after the game (the one he'd watched three more times on the bus back to the hotel).

"c'mon, honey, you can do it again," you coo in the video, the camera focused on your little daughter, who is laying on her back atop the blanket kita's grandmother had knitted. "let's show daddy what you did today!"

he's watching this video for what must be the dozenth time by now, pride still swelling in his chest as his baby rolls onto her stomach. he still smiles when you cheer, your enthusiasm prompting her to reveal a little, toothless smile.

the video ends on both your smiling faces, you laying on your stomach beside her, his baby frozen in a giggle as you blow him a good luck kiss. he didn't think it'd be this hard, being away from her for the first time since she'd been born.

suna glances at the time. it's a little past 11pm, no doubt past suki's bedtime and probably creeping up on yours. it's a lot of work, taking care of a five-month old on your own, you probably need some rest.

so he sends you a quick goodnight voice message and closes his eyes, hitting play on the video once more and clutching the phone to his chest.

he can hear the smile in your sleepy voice, as you press a kiss to his forehead. "we missed you too. did you see the video? we can start doing tummy time now. i read up on it, and the book said we should let her play on her tummy for a few minutes each day..."

rin nods as you explain the concepts behind tummy time. what a funny thing for him to get excited about. he's going to lay her on his chest and let him grab at his hair all she wants.

"she's growing up so fast," he sighs, holding you a little tighter. "seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home."

and, right on cue, the sound of his baby girl crying comes through the monitor you keep on the nightstand.

"i'll get her," suna volunteers, a little giddy as he rolls out of bed and heads across the hall to the nursery. he pumps some hand sanitizer onto his hands, rubbing them quickly before peering over the edge of the crib as they dry.

"hi, sweetheart," he coos, placing a hand on her belly. "how's my girl doing, hm?"

he frowns when she wails a little louder, clearly used to your presence over the last few days. so he reaches in to scoop her into his arms, laying her against his shoulder as he sits back in the rocking chair.

he rubs her back slowly as she squirms unhappily, but the movements start to cease when he presses his lips to her forehead, letting them linger as he holds her close, humming softly.

she relaxes in his hold, unhappy cries turning into what he can only describe as a content sighs as she starts to drift off again.

Techno vs Dream Duel

i saw twitter talking about the dream vs techno duel and it revived something in me im talking about it again (on here i won’t use that website but they missed a few stuff and hgnfnfn thoughts must go somewhere)

edit: putting this disclaimer at the top of the post bc its long and i didn’t realise it was technically cc neg until after posting it LMAO. basically tl;dr is duel weird, glad theyre friends now

so the big prerequisite to the duel is based on reputation. despite his channel being quite content based on mid-2019 with his new skyblock series, technoblade soon joined minecraft mondays, where he earned his reputation among the larger YT circle as a PVP god, winning 4 times and coming 1st individual more often than not. there was plenty of toxicity from other players, but the event helped his channel take off during the new minecraft resurgence. techno’s fanbase grew quickly and began to hold High Expectations for him, seeing all the times he’d won in the past

around this time, dream started his channel and actually was in MCM 9, teamed with BBH and it was one of his first big events. he ended up in 11th individual, with techno coming in 1st, though dream and bbh finished one place above him in teams.

dream established himself through his speedrunning, both challenges like the manhunts and ‘minecraft, but’ videos, and was shown to be one of the best 1.9 pvpers. and rose very quickly, hitting 1mil by the end of 2019 and growing quick through the rest of the year. he quickly became known as ‘one of the best minecraft players’, and made lots of videos with mr beast at the time, all of which portrayed him as such - a legendary minecraft player.

funnily enough, techno had an interaction with mr beast already, during MCM week 13 with wilbur, where he placed a 15k bounty on him in the final round of hunger games, announcing it halfway through the tournament, putting stress on both him and wilbur (who had 0 chance of winning Anything, by the way) and probably screwing their chances of winning. and when techno was panicking and brought it up, mr beast went “haha. anyway!” like LITERALLY he said “aren’t you the best minecraft player??” like that’s gonna stop getting hard targeted. they didn’t win, and wilbur was really cool about it, this is still one of my fav MCM POVs bc they’re so fun together despite this being like the first time they talked. but still. mr beast’s attitude with dream is already Pretty tonally different than his w techno back then

now i could only find one video of them together between this and MCC 6, Dream’s enderdragon vid which was pretty chill, but the techno vs dream rivalry was born from MCC. i didn’t join the new mcyt fanbase until around october, so i don’t know the full extent to how they were compared before this (most is just researched through youtube comments and reddit as well as just word of mouth accounts from diff ppl), but i’ve seen a little bit, specifically in a dream and mr beast collab, where dream didn’t want to go along with that, but he doesn’t Quite keep up that attitude later on. if you watch that clip, you might wanna watch a little bit after it as well, they go on for longer than a minute (which oh my god why)

at the time, techno was in the last 2 weeks of the potato war where he farmed nonstop, meaning he hadn’t practiced at All - this was one of his 3 interruptions from farming, and as a result it was his worst ever performance…. at 9th place, still coming 4th in teams, only 195 coins away from dream’s team. 9th individual is still a good score, might i add, he’s one of the only players that have never dropped out of the top 10 despite playing in 10 canon events. dream got 3rd individual, which is amazing for a debut, but this led to uh. ahha

dream made his Only Ever MCC video, the day after the tournament, to hype up the new rivalry. now i made a post about this before that summarises it, and framed it comedically so i could put it in the dream tag, but really this is a Big example of dream pushing the rivalry more than techno. and techno is shown to HATE This fucking video man. like ohhhh boy he doesn’t like it, which, yeah, absolutely fair enough!

if he made a vid out of MCC 9, dream getting 13th and him getting 2nd, and then framed the whole vid around that, it would be EXTREMELY BM!!! especially since as this point they didn’t know eachother very well, dream saying they only really became friends after techno joined the dream smp. So It’s A Yikes there. the antagonistic tweets are more obvious for that, but i know dream deleted a lot of them (which is good on him, actually)

basically, while techno absolutely added to the rivalry bc it was good content, dream pushed it a lot more, and in more of a taunty way that techno. and from what i see it was largely bc of his reputation as a New Minecraft Youtuber. he wanted to hype himself up more, and what better way to do that than taking down the old king.

i haven’t found the clip quite yet, but there’s a bit of techno talking about his reputation before dream came around, where most people said that techno wasn’t that great at PVP, but made up for it in his ‘high IQ plays and good game strategy’ and how after dream came around that was inverted, which him and everyone else in the call agreed Was Worse. he would rather be smart than good at video games. that’s not true though, we’ve all seen the potato war here, he is Scarily smart

now MCC week 7 is an event. here’s another post of mine on it, but to summarise it was SCUFFED and Dream’s team suffered bc of it and he got Kinda Toxic. threatening to log out midgame and saying the tournament was rigged in techno’s favour (which, haha, laughs in MCM). this is BAD and ended up festering some hate towards the noxcrew, which is a great way to make me personally lose all respect for anyone bc i love MCC and noxcrew and oh my god i want their hand in marriage so bad it’s my favourite ever.

but anyways, the next event is MCC 8 where they team, and THIS is where the duel was born. basically, in the team announcements, mr beast brings up the duel (see above) and techno and dream both respond. dream’s response is deleted, but he said something like “hell yes, sign me up, my middle name is down” to which techno says

now my issue with this one? based on these tweets, THE DUEL HADN’T BEEN CONFIRMED. AND IT WAS MENTIONED PUBLICALLY. WHAT. now i’m going by the assumption that it had been at least mentioned in private before this, but a precedent has been set with these tweets: mr beast wants to do it, dream wants to do it, techno does Not Want To Do It.

meaning if it never happened, people would know who backed out. so there is now Public Pressure on techno to accept this duel, for which the stakes are Insanely High, or else people will know he was the one who wouldn’t do it, making him seem cowardly and unofficially confirming ‘Dream’s better than him’. so now he basically HAS to accept

basically immediately he jumps into the training arc, from the potato war and straight into the 1.9 training. from what i’ve seen, he mainly trained with fruitberries, cxlvxn and tapl (dunno if firebreathman was there for this one?) in both 1.8 and 1.9. apparently techno had actually suggested they do all the rounds in 1.9, dream’s main version, but it was split both ways. techno trained this for it looks like most of august, and his according to friends had ended up busy enough he barely talked. this stream at 31:19 is just one example, here’s a great phil clip too, but this duel was a Big Deal!

not even bc of the money, the guys were already loaded, but because of his reputation, Because that’s what the stakes of the duel were for techno. he’s supposed to win. and as a result the pressure was insanely inproportionate. from what dream said, he thought this duel would be interesting because he wanted to know who would win, and he wanted to prove himself. for techno, it was more that he Had to prove himself

this clip from techno says it best. because this is what it hinged on. techno had everything to lose from this duel. dream didn’t have to win, he’s a speedrunner, his audience never had such high expectations for him it became a meme to say “L” when he won. he could afford to lose. techno couldn’t. and as a result, oh BOY was there gonna be stress, and for a guy who already has anxiety issues that could not have been fun

they split the money before the duel, to try to reduce the stakes a little. techno’s tweet on the image a lil bit below shows him openly admitting to being stressed, which is such a tonal difference to dream’s taunting tweets by the way, plus there’s multiple clips of him saying he couldn’t eat for a few days before the duel [at 4:15] then one saying he couldn’t really eat AFTER, all because of stress.

the mind games around the duel are interesting. apparently dream considered his big advantage to be techno’s stress. he wanted the first round in 1.8, hoping to beat techno in his own version to psyche him out for the rest of the game, he told techno that he knew the name of his alt account just before the duel started and overall thought his lack of stress from high pressure situations would be what would win him the duel. he duelled tommy, wanting to underperform apparently just bc he thought techno would see and underestimate him. Huh?

ironically, he found out techno’s alt and panicked bc techno had a 99.3 KDA, and lost the round in 1.8 and said he was nervous for a few rounds that he won in. which brings us on to Sportmanship. if you want to see for yourself watch (or just skim) these two videos. now techno is a great sport most of the time, it’s a big appeal of his content for me, but dream repeatedly makes excuses for his loss and techno’s win

that he “should have won” and got “lucky hits” and that he overall “performed better” because he finished with more health on some rounds? bro. You Lost. now from what I’ve heard the claim that “two equally matched players can 7-3 eachother depending on the day” isn’t completely untrue, which is code for i heard fruit say it once, so i trust dream on that one. but the amount of excuse making here does Not sit right for me. like i get he’s salty bc the loss, which again! Fair! but it’s just. Ehhh. take the L on that one bro

i will say, in a brief defence of dream, even though he WAS kind of a dick around the rivalry, no one knows that better than himself. he’s expressed regret about the kind of way he acted around this time, and him and techno are still friends now, and he’s straight up said losing the duel to techno humbled him, and was probably for the best.

as for the mr beast bias, the format of the video was meant to be karl: dream support, chris: techno support and then him as a neutral commentator. Didn’t Work Out, techno won and mr beast went “Noooo-oh, my goodness!” and when dream was losing, he went “dreams meant to be one of the best players in the world, where is this coming from?” to which techno says “im not half bad myself”. not the best unbiased host. also techno tried to shout out calvin for help with training rod PVP and the editor put in a picture of Famed Protestant John Calvin. scammed

now the dream vs techno duel is Literally what made me a techno fan. and it’s all bc of this one clip that i saw in a compilation that made me lose it. he trained for like a full month w the best 1.9 PVPer. and NO ONE TOLD HIM?? huh???? AND HE STILL WON?? bro that’s hilarious my brains picking that one

rewatching the duel theres at least 1 obvious point where he tried to axe crit while sprinting (he comments “i miss the axe crit there and lose the fight as a result”) it is just. Wow. and im not even good at PVP or PVP analysis, so chances are there’s more i didn’t notice.

now technotwt found this and were understandably sad about the lack of support techno got. that’s not my main issue here though. this was run BEFORE the duel. it was recorded later that day, on the 27th, and then released on the 29th. that’s why i have the 2 other tweets, to show the timing. bullshit. Poll, techno saying he’s stressed and THEN recording time.

techno had to go into the duel knowing only 20 fucking percent of people had confidence in his win. WHY? there was literally no fucking need to run the poll beforehand, if it was done after the recording but BEFORE the upload, it wouldn’t have changed the content at all, But no. techno went in with a NUMBER. 20% of people. goddamn it. oh well, his dad had his back at least. technodad, you’ll never not be the coolest. i don’t think mr beast had any malicious intent w this but still makes me mad

techno also had the support of like tapl, calvin, sophie, niki and plenty others, with tommy and tubbo showing their vouch when reacting to it on stream, and plenty were neutral (as seen in the poll) but the scales were notably weighted towards dream, especially in terms of content creators. techno probably knew that going in, but still must have sucked. reblogging this post w a redemptive feature of this though

exactly the same thing goes with techno and dream! we know that they’re good friends now, and no matter how iffy things seemed around the duel, it is all in the past and we shouldn’t use the duel or things from the early rivalry as any kind of overruling event to judge them on who they are now. these are just my words on it all

SO MATPAT IS COVERING ROBLOX GAMES

i never thought mat pat would do roblox theories but since he did ima do my own theory before i watch the vid (spoilers for the game ig?)

right so yall remember the tube where it says they were made? yeah, thats basically a big part of the theory, but as well as something else.

yes i went onto fucking youtube and looked this video up. its from the intro scene, but theres an odd part in it.

there is a motherfucking bio hazard sign right there. id have to say this and tube are probably highly correlated. and ill tie it in with the crash as well, dont worry, but let me start from the beginning of the story/the earliest part of lore i got theories for, and i'll do evidence for each part as i go. first off, the school bus driver. that man had to either work with red or be heavily affected by the chemicals to drive that way. its obvious by the lobby area looking like a school, the words "Going on a field trip...", and the school bus that we're school students on a field trip (weird how its at night but i wont talk about that) to oddworld, a theme park. (image below for what we see of oddworld)

its quite obviously that way and even if the sign changed the driver should have a gps to show where. not to mention the big ferris wheel should light the way to go and biohazard sign should light where to not. yet the driver still fucking turns the other way. its hard to believe the chemicals would be able to affect them up there (if im wrong do correct me idfk how chemicals work really) so the only logical answer was this character worked with red. either the driver purposefully crashed or they breathed in chemicals and shit happened. either way, they crashed the end. just kidding, lets get into my next intro theory! oddworld is owned by the same company that made the rainbow friends. they look a lot like mascots of a theme park, plus no theme park would willingly build by biohazards unless wanting to do some crazy experiment which requires luring kids out to kidnap them for tests, right? (yep, this another theory) not to mention, it ties in with the driver working for red idea. if they used the theme park as a codework, itd be less sussy (im sorry) if they were caught and searched. now, lets move onto the actual gameplay for theories!

(credits to @arcadianxanadus for placing themselfs there for this image as my stupid ass died to fucking green) the chemicals did shit to the rainbow friends for sure, and by the image shows, the company was knowingly keeping them inside the building. not to mention, these bitches are fucking color coded. do note this: theyre kept in the same room as all the items needed to be collected. im mainly concerned how they fucking eat here and the chemicals are still there. another thing to note, everyone but purple has 2 chemical containers. purple only has one. oh, and dont forget, PURPLE IS THE ONLY ONE WE NEVER SEE FULLY. is it possible that hes had so many chemical shit hes too horrified to let himself be seen fully, implying these bitches have sentience for their existence and have a brain that can worry what others think of him? yep, bingo. will i get into purple more? for sure, but lets back track tooooo...

TUBE! (most to all images will be taken because of my trooper arcadian) its quite obvious this tube did experiment shit with the rainbow friends. the machine seems to have rusted from being fucking old (l bozo /j) and thus probably wouldn't even work now. the chemical containers i believe powered this thing but when something went wrong, they stopped. so what could have gone wrong? i have two guesses. purple, or red. purple is the most advanced of the ones found during game play, actually following the closest player and hiding in vents to catch you, however he seems to also be the most wild (get more into him later). red, however, is most intelligent of the rainbow friends seemingly, since he can actually function technology, set up a sleeping quarters, plan out events, identify objects, speak english, and other things. but enough on red and purple, lets say good bye to the tube! finally, we start with characters (no more images because 1. its been days since i started this post, 2. i dont have the energy to actually live in rainbow friends to take ss for this kinda stupid post thing, and 3. i wanna get into the vid soon so yeah)! lets get into blue. so what i believe happened to all the rainbow friends is either they were puppets turned alive or humans turned to monsters, so ill go with the human one. i have looked way too much into bot patterns so deal with it. blue commonly hangs out around wider areas and ive seen goes into the theater a lot, more than the other bots im sure. he also enters some of the locations (if not all locations) of the blocks we look for on night 1. ive seen him stop while walking out of nowhere then turn around multiple times so theres also that. i feel blue was a small child before who was the main star of the show (i mean hes got the crown and stuff so id assume) that got lured into the tube and blah blah. itd explain why hed walk around in the theater the most (to me at least). it would also make sense to not suspecting the boxes, people on a set would have boxes filled with items like props or costumes or whatever.

next up: green! this celery stick is blind and has a pattern of mainly sticking to hallways, but will once of twice enter the theater only to block a door. like blue (i forgot to mention this in blues part but oh well), green can start below and climb the ladder (image above). i believe green could have possibly been a worker at the place who was tricked into going inside the tube. it'd make sense as to why a box would be unusual for him to find, he knows a box wouldnt be there originally.

next rainbow friend on the list is orange. orange has a visible pattern but is the only one who you can make not hunt you by feeding him food. i believe orange was a dog before being orange, seeing how hes fed something that looks like dog food and has a den like wolves would. FINALLY WE GET INTO HIM!!! PURPLE, THE VENT GOBLIN!!! i only found his pattern through how my friend got in a server alone. purple doesnt have a certain area he goes, but he does go to the closest player. hes also the only one that we never see fully. what he actually is can confuse me. that means i sadly cant fully say what he could be without an idea of what more than his arms and eyes and mouth look like. however, there is something i want to go back to (which obvi connects to purple). remember tube? theres writing on the walls talking about where "they" (the rainbow friends) were made and a picture of the tube. this couldnt have been there originally, so someone had to have written it. i suspect purple, and heres why. blues design is like a marshmellow (all images below). green's fingers wouldnt work for holding chalk, plus hes blind. orange seems to wild to be able to write words that neat, and again his hands are pinchers. purple has four fingers which could grip, and seems like he could write similar to that. not to mention its next to a vent. its also a bit ironic that purple isn't there (ik orange isnt there i was tryna be silly). also i know that there are images on google on what purple looks like normally, but i dont know for sure if those are right so for now i wont take a chance.

alright now we finish up (finally, ik) characters with red! red seems to have the most lore connected to him and the most intelligence as well. he can actually talk and kidnap children on field trips and see his surroundings (/hj). to me, it seems like a classic "testing on (insert thing) but something went wrong) type deal. i feel though, it went wrong twice. purple seems the closest to matching red's intelligence and red could have written the message as well, if he were helping us. before someone thinks he is, he literally kidnapped us. what i think of red? hes a scientist doing illegal tests on children without moral problems it seems. what the results are and why he needs them, there could be multiple reasons. now we move onto other details, starting with ourselves! we're obviously a school kid, but since im an overthinker, im getting an age range. the image(s) below is taken from this video. lets ignore the tall people and focus on black haired girl in the front (first image). now, i went ahead and got a picture of her in the other scene when the bus crashes just for another size reference. i picked her since she seems to be average height in game. with a google search, i found a roblox character is about '5"1 (or 154 cm). i went in and the joined the game so i could get a school reference (3rd and 4th pic is of school) and see what grade area it may be (elementary, middle, high school, or beyond). the school didnt provide much help, so i took focus on the playground. to me, it seems as though this is an elementary school, seeing how only an elementary would have a playground from what i know. i tried to look up a fifth grader's average height, which is 56 for a male and 57 for a female, the 57 equaling 4.75 feet. yeah, not gonna work. then i remembered before that some elementaries have 6th grade. i checked it out, around 5 foot. bingo! now onto age. the age range i found is 11-12 years old. yay, we know around how old the players are possibly! now, theres a big part here ive overlooked: its fucking nighttime. the only way for this to actually be a regular field trip at night would be if a;its a multi day trip or b;this is a boarding school. this couldnt be a multi day trip since thats only for camps and shit, not a fucking theme park. so boarding school? nope. assuming this takes place in the us, kids dont normally go to boarding school until 9th or 10th grade. plus, the building doesnt seem to be a boarding school. so whats happening? i suspect that this experiment process was a sort of deal with the school to borrow kids from an after school program id guess seeing how little the amount of kids there are and how ive seen no signs of searching for these missing kids. basically, kids getting experimented on. next theory!

this is gonna be the last im sure, but it has to do with each nights quests. night 1 is the blocks, night 2 is the food packets, night 3 is the batteries, and night 4 is the fuses. i feel theres symbolization in the quests so lets buckle into it (if ya get the reference, nice). the blocks i feel represent how blue acts like a baby whos still developing their brain. the food packets obvi are for orange and the batteries are supposed to mean our escape, the fuses coming after meaning not as well planned. however, they also could mean something else. both times we get something electrical, purple is out. not to mention, the fuse night/night 4 feels more like purples night while night 3/battery night seems to be more suited to orange as in an intro to him. the tube seems like it wouldnt use batteries if you look at its design. however, something like fuses would seem to work. what am i implying? purple broke the machine. yep, i came to a conclusion! i would go over details, but you can read through and peace together shit so i dont have to keep repeating myself over and over. and thats basically all the theories ive had on rainbow friends before watching mat pat! this has taken me a while and im tired but am whiling to write more on the theory thing! bye now!

i did manage tho i minimally gamed and then i read some fuckin fanfic and messed a lil with famistudio bc thats not too taxing on the hands but yes everyone is so mean to me </3 its so mean to suddenly have TWO conditions that mess up my backup plans for when one starts being annoying (my go-to for wanting to still have fun and stimulus n stuff when my hands need to rest is to watch silly shows with friend and the joy comes from the laughing at dumb jokes and talking about things and its like . damn now what do i do )

hrm... im debating looking at buying some of the Shinkai Reimeiroku drama cds when they come out... but if I do that, it’ll push back when my BD order of Souma-hen arrives (i refuse to pay for shipping twice when their release dates are so close together)... and i know i’m a bit interested in kazama being in a reimeiroku drama because of the timeline tho id definitely choose to do that in a heartbeat if there was a drama with both Serizawa and Kazama on it. lol. decisions, decisions.

anyway, this is my 2nd translation from this game this month and this is the Sanosuke version of the 『 恋染めし日』 story which im fairly certain happens before his last Edo Blossoms chapter... images used in this post were snips from my vita capture vids.

Hakuoki Yuugiroku 2 - Sanosuke Sakura Epilogue

The sakura were no longer in full bloom, and would now vividly scatter as they were carried away by the wind. 

The light red petals [tl i have is for red] from the above branches spread across/formed a thin layer on the ground.......

We were admiring this blanket of sakura that had scattered about.

Chizuru: Sanosuke-san, the sakura season will soon be over/is coming to its end.

Harada: That’s right. From the looks of it/At this rate, in about two or three days/in a few days, these sakura will begin to sprout leaves.

Ever since the snow melted, and when/once we could feel the warmth of spring from the sun/sunlight/shine, we've been visiting here everyday.

We found the first buds today. 

Today we saw a perched cuckoo.

These buds are starting to bloom/about to bloom..

The first flower finally blossomed——.

Each/Every time we came here, Sanosuke-san and I would talk about these subjects, and it was just the other day/a few days ago when the sakura finally bloomed.

Harada: We waited so long for them to blossom, but they don't stay in bloom for long.

Chizuru: Yes/That’s true......

As I gently touched a (nearby)/the (nearby) trunk, I could feel the slight heat from where the tree had been exposed to the sunlight.

Then, as if to ascertain my thoughts/grab my attention /check on me, Sanosuke-san's hand was holding mine.

Harada: Is something wrong/What’s wrong, Chizuru?

Chizuru: No. When Sanosuke-san and I came here today, earlier you said...... That you were thinking about how the beauty of sakura has remained unchanged even though we’ve left our homeland and had come to this foreign country [i give up rewording this so that its more condensed for now]. 

Harada: That’s right....... but, I feel that I've profited quite a bit. 

Chizuru: Profited?

Harada: Yeah. The sakura blooming season would have already ended in Kyo or Edo/Edo by now....... So don't you think it's great that we're able to see sakura at this time, even while this far north/even while we're this far up north?

Chizuru: Fufu. 

Hearing Sanosuke-san's childish words, I couldn't but help but smile.

Unlike Japan, sakura are not seen everywhere in this northern land.

While I felt a sense of nostalgia as I looked towards the southern skies, Sanosuke-san suddenly got down onto the ground.

Harada: Hei...... yo [basically allez-oop, mais, je ne peux pas penser à un équivalent]. 

(he lies down)

Chizuru: Sa-Sanosuke-san? What are you doing?

Harada: Ah, this is more comfortable than I thought. You should try lying down too. 

Chizuru: Ex-Excuse me then......

As I boldly lay on the on the ground that was covered in sakura, I could see how the petals accumulated as they fluttered together. 

After lying down like Sanosuke-san said, I looked up towards the sky, and couldn't help but exclaim/marvel at this beautiful view.

Chizuru: Wow...... Look, Sanosuke-san. It's like a rain of sakura......

Harada: Although we come here to see the sakura whenever we have time these days... It’s quite refreshing to see them from a different perspective/angle. You get to see what you normally wouldn’t see.

The were sakura that had fallen onto the ground around me, and there were sakura dancing in the sky.

The petals falling from the sky made the sakura feel like snow as they began piling up over me......

The moment I was buried/covered in this snow of sakura, just as I was about to close my eyes, a shadow suddenly fell over me.

Chizuru:!?

(he kisses Chizuru. i think. i clipped the pics for this when vlc was muted on account of recording sound)

Harada: You're too/so defenseless, Chizuru.

Chizuru:......Surprise attacks are unfair. 

I hadn’t even realized when he had gotten up. 

Sanosuke-san, who was supposed to be lying down next to me, showed a proud expression, as I protested with my stolen lips. 

Harada: Didn't I tell you before that I would kiss you if I ever caught you off-guard?

Chizuru: Did you ever say that......?

I tried to remember those words, but I didn't think it mattered anymore.

Sanosuke-san smiled and continued to speak. 

Harada: "Well, it's because you look like that, that I want to kiss you/you're showing such an expression makes me want to kiss you. If you don't want that, shouldn't you not be showing me such an adorable expression/shouldn't you stop showing such an adorable expression to me?

Seeing how Sanosuke-san had a childish/mischievous expression, I whispered softly.

Chizuru:......I can't do that/That's impossible.

Harada:......?

Chizuru: Because I want Sanosuke-san to love me even more/more and more.

Ever since I started living with Sanosuke-san, I have probably become more selfish/willful.

As if to embrace the sky and sakura, I laid down and spread my arms.

Harada: If you say something like that, how can I not cherish you even more?

While taking Sanosuke-san into my outstretched arms, I sighed happily.

After getting off the blanket of sakura, we faced one another again beneath the sakura. [reword later? i can’t figure out to make this less wordy].

Harada: So, what now? Do you want to continue talking/chatting here?

Chizuru: N-No, let's go home now!

I spoke quickly as I desperately tried to hide the redness of my face.

Although I would have loved to continue watching the sakura, I was/felt too embarrassed to now......

While I didn't expect anyone to come here, if someone really did, I wouldn’t be able to go outside/wouldn't dare to leave the house ever again.

Harada: Then, let's/we'll continue this next time.

Chizuru: When will that next time be?

Harada: Hm? If you want, it can be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

Chizuru: Yes. Let’s come again before the sakura have completely scattered.

In the days to come, how many times will be able to talk beneath the sakura trees before the sakura fall/scatter...

As I pondered this question, we left this place.

summary: s.o learning/teaching how to skate w/ iwaizumi, matsukawa + hanamaki

he notices the bruises and scrapes on your hands and legs and it immediately makes him go !!!

“are you okay do i need to throw someone?”

and you’re just like no?? and explain to him that you’ve been teaching yourself to skate

which still makes him go !!! bc he knows how dangerous it gets n he’s also seen you trip over your own feet (it’s only happened twice he needs to stop bringing it up)

out of concern he states he will be watching your next skate sesh n you just shrug n say ok bc why bother arguing plus it’s more time spent w him

“are you sure you don’t want me to buy you elbow and knee pads?” iwaizumi’s eyes flicker between you and the board under your foot.

“i think i can survive a few more bumps and bruises hajime.” you stick your tongue out at him and start to push forward, away from the skeptical look in your boyfriend’s eyes. you hear him inhale sharply as you take a wide turn and smile as you pass by him, blowing him a kiss. feeling a bit more confident, you take a bit of a sharper turn and feel yourself begin to wobble trying to regain your balance but immediately losing your footing the second one of the wheels hits a pebble. as you fall off the board you brace yourself for the hard impact but feel a pair of arms wrap around your waist and pulling you against a warm body.

“just what the hell am i supposed to do with you?” he hisses it into your ear and sets you back on your feet, pressing a kiss to your temple.

“continue to love me and catch me?” with a roll of his eyes he presses another kiss to your forehead, “hey how about you try?” he shakes his head, scowl deepening with each plea but you have him wrapped around your little finger so it only takes one more ‘pretty please hajime’ before he agrees. he hops on the board with ease and starts to circle you, grinning as you realize this isn’t his first time.

“okay how come this has never been brought up before you look so hot right now.” he stops in front of you and takes your hands in his.

“yeah?”

“mhm.” before he can reply you pull him in for a soft kiss.

you’ve been skating for nearly a year at this point so you’ve grown quite confident

and mattsun thinks you look so mcfreakin hot when you skate so he insists on being there pretty much every skate sesh

he’ll sit to the side in the shade w your water bottle fawning over you, clapping whenever you land a trick and running over whenever you fall

he begs you to teach him but you’re hesitant bc you don’t want him to fall and injure himself and risk having to sit out any games

but he states that he can get injured anytime during volleyball what’s the difference??

you give up on trying to pick at his flawed logic and finally tell him you’ll let him try riding your board (haha riding)

mattsun is beaming as you walk hand in hand to the empty basketball court at the park by his house. he woke you up at 7 am on a saturday just so you could skate and you can’t help but be endeared at how excited he is and how he looks like an overgrown puppy. it’s rare to see him make such an enthusiastic.

“watch me do a kick flip i bet i can do a kick flip and i’ll look good while doing it.”

“absolutely no kick flips for you headass.” you poke at his side and he laughs pulling you along. you set down your board and tell him to put on his knee pads (that he fought you on bringing but of course you won).

“okay now figure out which foot you’re more comfy with having on the board and the one you wanna push with,” you watch as he tests both feet and laugh as he gives you a thumbs up with his right foot on the board, “god of course you’d push goofy.”

“why does my foot have to be on the front why not the back.” you watch in horror as he places his foot farther back on the board.

“baby that’s called pushing mongo, and i will break up with you if you try to do that okay?” he laughs at you and nods. he starts practicing pushing himself along and you can’t help but hover hands ready to steady him. he gets more comfortable and tries to put both feet on but the motion makes him wobbly and his hands reach out for yours. you intertwine your fingers and help him regain balance.

“wait wait y/n pull me!” you mutter something about him being lazy but the sparkle in his eyes makes you concede. you pull him along on the board giggling together as you move around the basketball court. after going around a few more times he hops off the board and pulls you tightly into his arms.

“you suck at skating.”

“you still love me though.” you nod fondly and bury your face in the crook of his neck.

“i’m gonna do it, i’m gonna live life by our national anthem”

“makki????”

which is how you two ended up throwing some money away on skateboards and helmets (of course yours are matching)

neither of you have a clue as to what you’re doing so you hunch over makkis phone at lunch watching beginner skate videos ignoring the heckling comments from mattsun and oikawa

and after watching all of one and half vids you two feel like it’s time to give it a try

you watch as makki almost falls for the fourth time since starting your skating practice and this time you’re able to stifle the giggle that builds up in your chest. you make your own attempt at pushing yourself forward on the board, only wobbling slightly.

“hey sweet ass.” makki sings as you scoot by him, you flip him off and grin as he shoots you finger hearts. you both awkwardly roll around trying to stay on your boards longer and longer.

“makki lets race,” he quirks a brow at the challenge, “loser buys dinner.”

“oh baby you are sooo on.” you both make your way to one end of the park.

“okay so whoever makes it to that tree first wins,” you declare, “and no pushing.”

he pouts at the accusation but nods in agreement. you both ready yourselves, foot planted firmly on your board you count to 3, pushing the best you can and desperately trying to keep your balance. you risk a look at makki to see his brows knit together tightly. you’re only slightly in front of him but it’s enough to win. you move to push again when you hit a slight dip that cause you to lose balance and the board to shoot out from under you causing you to fall backwards right into makki. it’s not a pretty fall but your saved from the brunt of the impact by makki who falls backwards while hugging you tightly to him. you scramble out of his grip and straddle his hips as you start to pat at his head.

“oh my god, is your head okay love?” you slip your fingers to the back of his head and feel for any blood, you can feel a slight bump forming causing your heart to sink but you’re relieved at the lack of blood.

“please i’ve not only had oikawa serve to the back of my head but have been bashed by iwa and mattsun’s spikes,” he knocks on the side of his head, “shits solid, and has been empty for years.”

you let out a exasperated laugh at the statement and peck his nose. you help him back and up and the two of you go and retrieve your runaway board.

“cmon my handsome savior, i’ll treat you to ice cream after we go halfsies on dinner.”

when they play together the vids are pretty much just al being on his own making progress while race is screaming and triggering hostiles in the background

al is really patient and understanding but at the same time racER IF YOU DO NOT TURN YOUR GODDAMN FLASHLIGHT OFF

when they played phasmophobia race got locked inside the building at the last second and all you can hear is race screaming and al cackling

at the beginning of A Way Out, race was convinced it was a horror game because al has a habit of lying about the genre of the game to get race to play it

The Blackout Club was the worst for racer because the game listens to your voice and cryptic messages will appear on screen in relation to what you said so if you say “Where are we?” a message will appear and say something like “Where you do not belong.” One person said they started laughing out of fear and they got a message saying “(a nickname the game gives you) laughs and does not know why, embrace the madness.” al “forgot” to tell race about it.

race refused to play another game with him after TBC so they played minecraft together (they have a bee farm and 4 dogs)

then al got him to play GTFO and race got so scared he accidentally threw his mouse

also i know NOTHING about video games, but google is my best friend and i filled in the gaps for myself. for someone who watches people play video games a lot i’m absolutely terrible and am honestly really close to race in the video game department

- depends on al’s mood, honestly. if it’s a youtube video he’ll go off on his own a bit more just to switch it up while race just,,,,, tries not to die and wastes ammo. if they’re playing on twitch he’ll stick with race and try to help him cause he’s a simp he “gets tired of race’s screaming and wants to see if he can win being held back by his idiot boyfriend”

- pretty much, yeah. albert’s much more patient than most of their friends would be, and he doesn’t get tired of explaining things, but he DOES get fed up of dying over and over because race woNT FUCKING LISTEN

- albert laughs SO HARD at race during phasmophobia. race jumps at absolutely everything and has no clue what he’s doing, meanwhile albert forces him into the worst situations for his own entertainment.

- he definitely does have that habit. race ends up REALLY enjoying AWO, and has played it more than once, even if he cries every time they get to the end (that’s not even an exaggeration, albert’s tearstained shirt is proof. albert got teary the first time or two but usually he just consoles race)

- albert felt pretty guilty about TBC once he saw just how freaked out race was. “#revengeforTBC” was trending on twitter after albert posted his second tiktok ever of him just dancing to the “i’m stan and i was wrong” audio from gravity falls

- after TBC they pretty much only play among us and minecraft. albert DID manage to get race to hang out with him while he played through God of War and Spider-Man on twitch, cause race is a marvel stan and albert bet his favorite concert t-shirt (the troye sivan one) that GoW wouldn’t scare the crap out of him

- albert likes to s w e a r he “still has a bruise from when the mouse hit him” from when they played GTFO

- ✨bonus:✨ race has a series of videos where he tries to play video games while albert cackles at him in the background, and so far the funniest one is Grand Theft Auto 5. race has no clue what the hell he’s doing but he genuinely couldn’t stop laughing the whole time he played GTA 5 (inspo here, specifically this video)

hey! so ive been missing streams 😭 and i was wondering wtf has been happening in the dream smp since the election results were revealed? i'm so lost and i really dont wanna watch all the streams 😔😔😔

oh god a loooot has happened; i personally recommend watching wilburs edited vids on his channel if u rlly want to understand everything but ill give a basic summary!! 

major MAJOR spoilers for the dream smp (obviously) so if u don't want to hear about it then don't continue on (also its kinda long bcause all i think about is the dream smp-)

SO schlatt and quackity won the election, schlatt banished wilbur & tommy from l’manberg & renamed l’manberg to manberg. wilbur and tommy created a new place called pogtopia which is a bit away from the manberg / main area. quackity is schlatts vice president, tubbo is secretary of state (i believe?)

 tubbo is a spy and is secretly working for pogtopia. technoblade joins the server and joins pogtopia to help take down schlatt. all he did for the most part was farm potatoes...and breed horses....

dream reveals he doesnt support schlatt out of fear that schlatt will begin to take over the entierty of the dream smp, but he cant show his support of pogtopia publicly. niki doesnt like schlatt, schlatt taxes her, they just hate each other in general. fundy is also secretly a spy, but hes not directly giving info to anyone, he just keeps a journal about what he has learned. fundy begins to question what side he supports, and begins to lean more in favor of schlatt because schlatt has been cleaning up the area and basically has been making everything look nice. 

tommy and tubbo make a giant tunnel under manberg that leads to pogtopia (which is also connect to the prime path for, well, obvious reasons). technoblade has mostly just been trying to get the best gear for himself & has been trying to breed the best horse (he gets a trident at one point). 

wilbur goes insane and believes he and tommy are on the bad side of history, that they’re the villians. wilbur gives up on getting l’manberg back and has settled on just blowing it all to shit so no one can have it. dream backs wilburs plan and supplies him with TNT and wilbur rigs the entire underground of manberg with TNT (much like dream did in l’manberg during the dream smp war) tommy doesnt support wilburs decision to blow everything up. 

(this isnt exactly really story-related but sapnap killed tommys cow, henry, and dream, techno, and tommy teamed up to fight sapnap and a few others. idk it isnt rlly important to the plot but i enjoyed it so :D)

schlatt announces there will be a manberg festival, in celebration of democracy and everything. wilbur decides thats the day hes going to blow everything up. tommy still doesnt support wilburs plan. tubbo and fundy (and i think quackity?? idk) set up for the festival. tubbo has a speech written for the festival and one of the lines is the cue for wilbur to press the button to blow everything up.

the day of the festival comes along, schlatt gives a few speeches, wilbur and tommy watch from the top of one of the buildings. everyone is invited (even technoblade) to the festival, except wilbur and tommy. technoblade brings and OP rocket launcher crossbow and tries to get info on manberg. they play games and stuff.

 wilbur starts to question if he really wants to go through with blowing everything up (because he will be blowing up all his friends in the process) and tommy continues to try to talk him down. wilbur ends up asking tubbo what he should do, and tubbo doesnt know. wilbur tells tubbo that if he says the cue in the speech, he’ll do it, and if he doesn’t, he wont. tubbos speech comes along eventually, and at the end he hesitates saying the cue, and schlatt begins to ask if he had anything more to say. tubbo eventually does say the cue, and wilbur goes and runs off to find the button to blow everything up. 

schlatt starts encasing tubbo in a box and wilbur gets distracted and goes back to see what is going on. schlatt announces infront of everyone that tubbo is a traitor. schlatt calls technoblade up to the stage and tells technoblade to “take him out”. technoblade tries to stall, wilbur and tommy assure tubbo that techno is on their side and wont hurt him. techno gives in to peer pressure and kills tubbo with the rocket launcher crossbow, killing schlatt and quackity in the process (because they were on stage as well and just vacinity stuff yknow).

tommy and wilbur panic. wilbur goes and rushes to find the button, but cant find it. tommy reveals his position and goes in to kill techno, claiming techno has betrayed them. techno just starts shooting his rocket launcher into the crowd, killing basically everyone. tommy and tubbo meet up in the manberg-pogtopia tunnel. wilbur, tommy, tubbo, and techno all go back to pogtopia. wilbur and tommy are the most mad at techno, but wilbur forgives him. tommy doesnt and still believes hes a traitor. wilbur manipulates tommy and tells him to use that anger and to kill techno, so they fight in a pit that wilbur made. tommy dies, and everything is basically settled (though tommy is still mad at techno). niki also joins pogtopia. niki, tubbo, and tommy meet up just outside pogtopia and discuss whats going on. they all agree that wilbur has lost his mind and that they can only trust each other, and they begin to discuss plans of building up pogtopia so they can fight back to reclaim l’manberg. sentimental bit of them three looking off into the sunset as tommy plays the original blocks disc. 

schlatt doesnt really care what happened, him, quackity, fundy, and a few others continue to play games after the whole techno thing. (i believe something with antfrost, bbh, and awesamdude happened? i dont quite know because i havent watched their pov yet but i believe they formed some kind of alliance to fight against schlatt? correct me if im wrong-) schlatt starts talking about his plans for manberg. he plans to replace the hto dog van with an apartment complex. fundy, quackity, bbh, antfrost, and awesamdude try to talk him down from it. they eventually come to an agreement that the appartment building will be built around it, so you cant see it. schlatt kills a few cats for no real reason. schlatt talks about how he wants to remove the white house (the one quackity built with wilbur and such), quackity gets defensive and tells him not to destroy it as it is a symbol of peace and he worked hard on it. schlatt still wants it to be removed but they plan to discuss it at a later time. fundy is left alone, he questions which side he supports. he is now more in favor of wilburs side because of the public execution of tubbo and the fact he killed cats. 

day after the festival quackity and schlatt are on, tommy eventually joins as well. tommy plans to JFK schlatt and goes over to manberg to do so. he watches quackity and schlatt from a far, who are both at the white house. theyre both arguing over whether the white house should stay or go. schlatt wants it gone, quackity doesnt. tommy doesnt make a move and continues to watch. schlatt begins to insult the white house and starts to take it down. quackity gets pissed and kills schlatt and claims that he is no longer a part of manberg and proceeds to run off into the forest. schlatt then continues to demolish the rest of the white house. 

tommy goes after quackity; quackity joins pogtopia and they head off to pogtopia. wilbur gets on and claims he has found where the button is and that he doesnt care if no one else is on, all he wants to do is kill schlatt and blow everything up. tommy tells wilbur quackity has now joined them. quackity and tommy then proceed to build a giant dick infront of the manberg flag.

 wilbur then goes and shows quackity and tommy the button, quackity finds out about wilburs plan as a result. wilbur tries to push the button multiple times and quackity and tommy try to talk him down from pressing it. quackity says the only reason he ran against wilbur was to prevent dictatorship. they continue to attempt to stop wilbur from pressing the button. tommy at one point stands infront of the button and wilbur tells him to move to the side if he trusts him. tommy hesitates, but then moved. wilbur then destroys the button. wilbur says that now tommy will be leading them and making the next move. before returning to pogtopia to discuss the new plan, wilbur asks for quackity and tommy to wait outside. theres a sad moment and wilbur sings the l’manberg anthem and places the button back and says its just incase, as a backup, just so he knows that if something goes wrong, he can always rely on the button.

the three head back to pogtopia and discuss a plan. im going to be honest i was v lost on what they were saying when discussing the plans because they were all talking at once basically but the first plan, named plan a, is to use quackity to get to schlatt (its named plan a because ass...), then the second plan, plan 1, is yet to be determined, and the last plan, if those two fail, is plan b, which is to go with wilburs original plan of blowing everything to shit (b because bomb haha) 

YEA thats the basic summary i think? theres a lot of other details like the fact that fundy, tubbo, and sapnap are now dreamon hunters but !! yea. sorry for this being so long aaaaaaa
