the thing that gets me when watching random merlin bts videos is just how much work went into producing this silly show... I'll make fun of the little blue sidhe and then they'll interview someone from the costume department going "yes the makeup took us 8 hours to put together :)" or one of the CGI guys will talk about how they spent months trying to figure out how to animate kilgharrah and I'll feel bad for ever laughing at the bad special effects. the beautiful sets, the gorgeous handsewn gowns, the music. so much love was poured into this project it makes me a bit emotional if I think about it too much

What line "against Japan's marriage laws" do you mean? I'm genuinely curious because I don't really remember anything like that (but it's been a while since I read that event)

this section from chapter 3 of An's wedding event. they're doing a wedding photoshoot but accidentally hire two models for the bride and no model for the groom, but they decide to go ahead anyway in spite of the gender. it doesn't seem like much on the surface but with the context of gay marriage not being legal in japan there's a little bit extra to that "gender has nothing to do with it" comment.

the appeal of VALshrue as a hypothetical relationship (platonic, romantic, aromantic, undefinable, idgaf) is that it's about carving out a space where you have the autonomy to choose for yourself, but that choice only exists in the first place because of the nonconsensual circumstances that gave rise to it. pursuing it, in the choice to be kinder, to stay, and to live, means both challenging and reckoning with the heinously abusive origin point. the cruelty and the compassion are inseperably conjoined. you could even say they're married to one another.

So... Wedding audio releases today :). (I do not have EA so it is today for me).

And in celebration, have my take on Asher, Babe, David and Angel in their wedding gear <3. (Little sneak peak for the massive character design project I'm doing for most of the Redacted Cast :3)

I'm also trying out some funky colours for my sketches and may well do so for the next bit. Honestly posting sketches and such could do me some good XD. Since I am not getting many paintings done any time soon.
