Once again on my Kirito is a trans girl lesbian propaganda. In GGO Kirito is at first mildly uncomfortable with being perceived as a girl but quickly goes along with it, and seems to have even practiced exaggerating her movements to be particularly feminine. She only tells Sinon that she’s amab when she feels she’s potentially taking advantage of Sinon’s trust and putting her into a situation she normally wouldn’t consent to. Afterwards, Kirito still keeps acting in a feminine manner for everyone else, and seemingly enjoys doing so too! Conclusion? Kirito is an egg case closed

the tragedy of SAO (aincrad) is that it's actually rather good, but is unfortunately attached to SAO (everything else)

everyone rags on kirito for being awesome mccoolguy, the greatest video gamer ever but that only happens AFTER sao. in sao he's 1 - fourteen, and trying very hard to be cool 2 - social anxiety out the wazoo 3 - very very bad at making friends (outside of his small friend group, most people on the front line are like "ugh, that guy") 4 - actively and constantly being traumatized by having to fight for his life and by watching people die in front of him. (This isn't just about Sachi, though she's the final straw that breaks him.) The very first quest he runs he meets another beta player, teams up with him, and then the guy tries to murder him for getting the rare drop first but fucks up and dies doing it.

Continuing my rewatch of SAO, got through Gun Gale Online. I think GGO is such an interesting game setting that I’m glad there is a spin off of it, because the main anime makes it seem so barren compared to other games. I still dislike “Bullet of Bullets” though. Such a stupid name. Call it “Ballet of Bullets” or something! Also Kirito and Sinon’s dynamic is so fun. I love the love-hate relationship she has for him.

Anyways, in the middle of the Excalibur arc. I always enjoyed this arc but I gotta prepare for the soul crushing next arc.
