the biggest tragedy in Death Note is that we never got to see Light finding out L's real name. Imagine stressing over what this guy's super secret identity is for months and making various convoluted plans to obtain it and then you discover he was going by his real legal death note-approved first name publicly the ENTIRE time. His real name is a goddamn letter. You just assumed this was an alias because it's a LETTER but it's his actual name. This is the only time I could forgive Light for the Murderous Impulses because how do you not explode into a fit of rage after this. I'd hunt for a way to resurrect L just to kill him more slowly if I were him

Fic snippet

So due to the overwhelming majority on the poll I put out last night, here's a snippet of my multi-chapter palasaki fic, this little light of mine!

... I was texting [David] back while walking down the street one day, too preoccupied with which emoji best suited my flirtation to notice a crowd headed right towards me. I swerved past the group at the last second, whipping around to say something like, hey, watch where you’re fucking going, but decided against it. With a sigh, I turn back towards the way I was heading and run straight into somebody else.

“What the fuck!” I exclaim, dropping my bag and my phone on the ground, spilling the purse’s contents everywhere.

“Sorry!” The girl cries, immediately dropping to her hands and knees to pick up her own things that she’d dropped. I join her on the ground, wincing as I kneel down on it. Gross, I think, speedily trying to grab all of my things. I glance up at the girl that I’d run into–notice her long white hair, her pale skin, her lanky frame–as I shove things hastily into my bag. She glances up at me once or twice too, her face flushed pink with embarrassment, and I don’t make any move to make her feel less embarrassed. She ran into me, I think angrily, huffing as I get to my feet and brush off my hands and knees. 

“Sorry,” She says again, her voice quieter now as she tucks her chin down into her chest and stares at the ground. Then, without saying anything else, she takes off in the direction I’d come. I huff and roll my eyes, continuing down the sidewalk. My text remains unfinished for the time being, but truth be told I just wanted to get the hell away from here, away from other people, so I keep walking, nearly forgetting about my phone in my bag until I get home to my apartment above the Tongue & Tail Butcher Shop. Then, only when I got home and into my apartment did I dig my phone out. Only then I find that it was in fact not my phone. This phone had a case with a pink and orange heart design and squishy stickers of unicorns on it, and so I stare blankly at it for a minute. I’m wondering whose phone this is, and then it hits me. The girl. I start laughing to myself–a disbelieving sound that grows louder with the passing seconds. Great. Fucking great. I reach up and pinch the bridge of my nose, exhaling a sigh. I turn the screen on and, to my surprise, find that it unlocks without a passcode. Immediately, I start dialing my own number into the keypad and bring the phone to my ear. It rings once, twice, three times and then someone picks up on the other end of the line. “I think I have something that belongs to you.”

when i first made my ffxiv character i didn’t know that there were lore accurate names you could give your character to make them fit into the world so my wol Galileo Hughjaz is a Miqote Seeker of the Sun who does not fit the lore accurate naming conventions for his race and culture

i did some looking into it though and found that his name would work and be accurate to the world if i put an apostrophe after the G and also if he was transgender which is a big win honestly

so his accurate name would literally just be G’alileo Hughjaz with all that really changes being that the G now denotes his clan lol
