uhh hello!! sorry if this is a tall order LOL but I wanna ask, do you have any narilamb fanfic recs? :D I already read yours and I really like bamsara’s and I’m waiting for epicaandk’s to update (that one is my fav ever <3) but idk what to read now lol
Tall order?? Naaaaah, I'm always happy to give recs. Oh boy, I'm gonna go in reverse chronological order.
If you've read all of my narilamb fics (have you seriously? I'm impressed, that's probably well over half the 150k+ I've written for this damn fandom. Also, to anyone seeing this from a reblog, my stuff is over at onethirdofimpossible!) then here we go!
You already mentioned it, but The Rehabilitation of Death is excellent so far! This one is by @bamsara who is new to the CotL fandom but apparently not new to fanfic writing; they have a really popular FNAF fic and I assume the well-deserved attention this fic's been getting is a byproduct of the popularity they've already gotten in other fandoms. :D Welcome, bamsara! Many of the fic writers in this fandom are friends with each other already, but we don't bite if you wanna say hi.
Feel No Evil and Language Barrier, both by @payasita. I always love how payasita portrays this duo (in both digital art and writing), with so much sass and repressed loneliness, knowing they're stuck together for eternity and making the best of it. (And maybe falling in love, depending on how dense Narinder keeps being.) What makes these come alive for me is how well thought out the setting is outside the Lamb and Narinder. The descriptions and weight of emotions really pop here.
LITERALLY ANYTHING written by pavi / @i-eat-deodorant. Depending on how spicy you want your fics to be he has even more here. Character analysis, diction, pacing, etc. are consistently 10/10. Top-quality banter between a sassy Lamb and tired old man Narinder. We constantly bounce ideas off each other and inspire each other a lot but I promise I'm not hyping him up just because he's my friend oh my god please just go bless your eyes.
It Was For You, O Death by blueberry-muffin-massacre (if they have a tumblr, let me know so I can tag!). An intriguing alternative ending to the final battle wherein the Lamb chooses a secret third option by refusing to give up the Red Crown and still observing Narinder as the God of Death. So many details are so well thought out and duality their relationship is nicely characterized-- both genuine care for each other and also quite unhealthy. A fine line treaded well!
Confessional by jusmove (again, lmk if they have a tumblr). Been a while since I've read it, but I love how the Lamb chips at Narinder's very carefully built emotional walls. Their personalities are very well fleshed out here, especially Narinder's cognitive dissonance at being able to process love.
Confession by @thewitchoftheweed. I didn't expect a part two to this one, but my god I was so thrilled when it did update. Narinder and Lamb with their unique and parallel loneliness and their fucked-up sense of everything. Their relationship is very rocky here, and I love how they navigate it: with tension and eventual, pained acceptance. Mind the rating.
Of Character Development and Being Dense by @calliecature. A short and sweet narilamb classic. They're both mutually pining and one of them is too emotionally repressed to realize it. Guess who.
Not An Offering, But a Gift by @checkplzjuliet. Small confession fic. I especially love how Narinder's descriptions twist the knife of his situation here, and how Lambert is a total foil for him! There are a lot of good things happening in such a short span, which is impressive.
Also, if you think you've read all my narilamb fics... I do have a secret one out there too. Just so you know.
Happy reading!
I'm already friends with many of the people here, but if any of the writers I've tagged have been kinda wanting to reach out for a while but feel a little anxious... Don't be. I've made my best friends in this fandom by literally just waiting for some of my readers to get over whatever assumption they have that I'm cool and say hi. Or being the more confident one first.

Seventeen as different tropes
a/n : I've gotten into a book slump again so i thought might as well try something that's going to make me want to read more :)
triggers: mentions of sex or sexual content or indicates sexual behaviour
Scoups
Workplace romance especially billionaire ceo romance where he falls in love with this girl from a small town almost like a typical hallmark movie. he gives very CEO vibes especially like business proposal kang tae moo he loves showering you with love and lots and lots of gifts.
Jeonghan
Opposites attract. I think it would be so cool if jeonghan falls for someone his exact opposite who looks like a troublemaker but is actually very innocent. It would be hilarious when at first she gets blamed for a prank he pulled making him apologise with lots and lots of kisses. Also she'd be the only person with whom he won't cheat while playing games?!
Joshua
good boy x bad girl. This is the reverse of the bad boy trope and that suits him so much Joshua is a very good gentlemanly guy until he isn't and then he's this crazy person and he'd naturally be drawn to people who take risks.
Jun
childhood friends to lovers. Honestly after watching exclusive fairytale I feel this is exactly his vibe he's a shy guy so he takes time getting comfortable and since you've known him since childhood he's the most comfortable with you. The comfort of knowing someone through all their stages of life and falling for them.
Hoshi
Enemies to lovers. Hoshi is a sweetheart that everyone knows but he's amazing at teasing people aka seungkwan in gose episodes so him having an enemies to lovers relationship makes so much sense to me. Also hoshi getting angry/pissed would be HOT.
Wonwoo
Aloof couple. Everyone except the both of you know that you both are dating. Together you both are dumb and dumber. After Hoshi accidentally ends up spilling the fact that wonwoo has a crush on you You guys would finally start dating. Both of you would be so shocked to know that the other person actually liked them too.
Woozi
Fated soulmates. Now listen to me woozi is a homebody just like me and sometimes I wish the love of my life would just come to my house and announce his existence. This is exactly what happens when you go to deliver fried chicken completely drenched in the rain and he offers you to stay and dry off before leaving.
Dokyeom
brothers bestfriend. He's your brother's friend so he should be off limits to you but he's so kind so nice and so caring you can't help but fall in love. He doesn't notice you until one day you drunk confess and then suddenly you're all that he can think about.
a/n: very much like the male lead in hidden love (c-drama)
Mingyu
reverse grumpy x sunshine. Oh he falls for the slightly broody introverted nerd. They literally collided into each other when Wonwoo dragged him to this one book convention. He was jealous of how close Wonwoo and you were. Which led to him confessing and you both dating. He absolutely adores the fact that your cute silly side is reserved only for him.
Minghao
hopeless romantic x skeptic Minghao was that person who did not believe in love at first sight cause how do you fall in love without knowing anyone that is until you walked into his life and caused him to fall literally for you. You loved this fact as you were a big romantic person. You'd often watch rom coms together and have discussions on the characters for hours.
Seungkwan
Academic rivals. YES YES YES
the banter would be off the charts. He'd be full on sassy boo who loves winning and y/n would be the same. They'd fight argue and insult each other but would be forced into spending time together and boom he's pinned you to the wall.
Vernon
Second chance. Yes the angst the pain the hurt the NOSTALGIA. everything vernon runs into you in seoul one day and it's decided that he wants you back bonus points if you have a child that he babysits and that child comes to adore him.
a/n: i think I have to cry vernon with kids would be so funny and cute and I WILL CRY
Dino
a/n: i absolutely adore these I lowkey might make all of these into longer fics.
best friends turned enemies turned lovers. the chemistry would be fire you'd both participate in a dance competition as kids but at the last moment you ditched him to dance with your crush years later you both hate each other and it gets worse when you are one of the background dancers in seventeen's world tour.
i made a longer version for dino- here

I agree it sounds like harry and draco are attracted to each other, but what do you think each of them (especially harry) finds compelling about the other? and would that be a good basis for a relationship or is it more like insta-love where they're attracted because they just are?
I think they are initially just kind of drawn to each other because they have that indefinable spark of chemistry between them - even when they aren't getting along, even when they end up on opposite sides of the war. BUT I think it's also so much more than that and I think they are genuinely compatible people who could build a good relationship post-war.
They're both quick witted and sassy and I think post-war they'd come to really enjoy each other's snark and humor and derive a lot of enjoyment and entertainment from bantering with each other. (Tbh I think even during the series Draco always secretly thought Harry was very funny even though he'd never admit it. As for Harry, once Draco's humor isn't directed at him or his friends and no longer involves bigoted slurs against Muggleborns, he finds he appreciates it a lot more.) They also both understand each other at a very deep and intuitive level and can read each other really well; this is already the case in canon and becomes even more true once they actually start spending time with each other. And obviously that's an important aspect of building a relationship.
They both have similar traumas and life experiences - for example having had up-close and personal interactions with Voldemort and understanding what he was like more than most people who just kind of view him more as an abstract bogeyman. They both are protective of the people they care about. They both are clever and highly gifted in magic though in different, but complimentary ways which means they work really well together when it comes to solving problems. They both can be cunning and Draco is absolutely delighted by Harry's devious side. They both can be quite brave when they have to be (though neither fully realizes this, and Draco especially does not think of himself as brave in the least).
They even have little things in common like their enjoyment of Quidditch and their gift for flying. They are both excellent Seekers. Remember Draco is the only person who ever even came close to beating Harry, and that's even when Harry had a better broom. Harry's a teensy bit better but they are pretty evenly matched and definitely enjoy playing against each other. They're also not intimidated by each other and can hold their own against each other. (Draco is not only not phased by Harry's glares the way even Hermione sometimes is but also lowkey finds them a bit attractive though he'd never, ever admit it.) Furthermore, they are both absolutely the peak of each other's Type TM and each thinks the other is ridiculously fit.
#I think their fundamental compatibility as people is illustrated by how well Draco's wand worked for Harry.#Not only did Draco want Harry to have it but also they are at their cores similar types of people.#asks#Harry Potter#drarry#hpdm#Draco Malfoy#my meta#drarry meta

hi ive been obsessed w fez for the last two weeks and ur fics are the best ones.
i am literally obsessed w u so thank u for helping me w my ‘fez fever’
i live for the fez x reader x (platonic) ash. i love when ash and reader banter and tease eachother 😭
I LOVE UU
I love writing this trope SO MUCH.
"You guys know you could do this anywhere else but here." Ash's deep groan from the other side of the room forces Fez away from me, my lips chasing his as he backs away from me. His hands stabilize me on each side of my hips, my legs hanging off the edge of the counter between us. "Like fucking go make out in the car or some shit." I bite back a giggle at Ash's complaining, watching Fez's cheeks redden in embarrassment and his chest puff in protectiveness.
"Oh, is our love bothering you?" I call out over my shoulder, not needing to see the look on Ash's face to know he's beyond disgusted and beyond annoyed.
"You guys are like fucking rabbits, always making out and shit." I push Fez away from me with a huff, hopping down from the counter so I can peer under the cabinet at Ash who sits in the living room, draped across the loveseat.
"Then leave the room Ash, no one's asking you to hang around." Fez groans, giving me a sorry look as his hand rubs up and down my back.
"It's my goddamn house-"
"And I pay the goddamn bills so I'll kiss my woman where I want." I can't fight the laugh that leaves me this time, Fez's hand slapping over my mouth instantly and Ash gives me a deadly look.
"Boys, seriously. I think I know what's going on." I push Fez away from me and wave my hands between them, stepping away from Fez so I can approach Ash with hands held up, mocking surrender. "I think Ash misses me." I throw a pout his way, reaching out to tug him up from the couch and into my arms.
"Fuck no, get out of here." He scoffs, trying to push me away but he doesn't try hard enough because I just continue to smother him with love, pressing kisses to the top of his head as he whines. "Stop tryna hug me, Y/n."
"C'mere munchkin." I coo and he finally gives up with a huff, patting my back in an exasperated attempt to please my 'insanity'. "I think Ash just needs a hug." Fez chuckles from the doorway, looking between his brother and I with a fond expression.
"You're mean to him." Fez sighs, folding his arms over his chest and I throw him a sassy wink.
"It's good for his character development." Ash finally pushes me away, deciding he's had enough of my love and before he can storm out, I can see the light blush on his cheeks.
Success.
"Fuck character development and fuck both of y'all."

I’ve read a couple of reviews for Twisters saying that the plot is bad, that there is no plot, that you can only watch the movie for the sound and the visuals but the rest is crap- and that is something I don’t get. I don't get it at all.
We have Kate who is a massive nerd up to a point where she actually studied what she’s passionate about and almost developed a way to reduce the intensity of tornadoes. Already that by itself is an achievement! Also, she was the one leading the project five years ago! Not a guy, not anybody else, her!
Then she loses everyone in her crew except for Javi. I can only imagine how traumatizing this must be. She feels guilty and it makes sense that it estranges her from Javi and leads her into a safe job in NYC. The job’s not dangerous, there are barely any tornadoes in NYC but she’s still in the field of profession she’s passionate about. Her choice makes sense!
Next we have Javi. Of course, he's traumatized, too, but not as much as Kate it seems. He took a different path. His business with Riggs is shady to say the least. I want to believe that he was too naive and too passionate about tornadoes to get that Riggs shamelessly exploits the misery of tornado victims. Regardless of that he's so passionate about his current project that he knows he needs Kate for it although they apparently haven't spoken in years.
Kate is hooked and she agrees to work with him on the project. It's only logical that she panics the first time she's near a tornado in presumably five years.
Also, I don't get why people call the movie schmaltzy. Because of the developing relationship between Kate and Tyler? Idk.
From the first moment, Tyler is this braggy YouTube guy who comes across as nothing but dumb at first and yes, I've hated him for being like this. But then you get to know that he's actually intelligent and that he and his crew do their part in helping the victims. Yes, they are crazy (and you have to be crazy if you voluntarily drive into a tornado) but all of them are essentially good at heart! It only takes some time to find that out.
Also, I love that both Tyler and Kate keep up with each other. They're both equally sassy, passionate about tornadoes, intelligent. Yes, Kate might have needed his push to go back working on her five year old project but that doesn't mean that Tyler suddenly does all the work. Also, no damsel in distress bullshit here. Kate feels like a well written female character, just like her developing relationship with Tyler.
I don't know if I see Tyler and Kate together as a couple in the future. Tyler is interested, definitely, but I feel like Kate could enjoy them bantering around and rebuffing him constantly more than actually being his girlfriend.
Anyway, as I said I don't get how people can say this movie doesn't have a plot worth watching. For me it definitely has- there's character development, the characters are well-rounded, and I could (and probably will) write much more about them.

Task Force 141 Cashier AU Headcanons
Soap and Gaz are like the sunshines of the entire store. When those two first joined, everyone was surprised by how much better the atmosphere became. Everyone’s mood lifts by about 80% when those two are on shift together. Everyone warmed up to them immediately, and Ghost gets along with Soap the best. You can just take their interactions from the game and plant them into this AU: all the banter, jokes, and light flirting. Ghost isn't as closed off as he was before, and Price and Laswell are in the back patting themselves on the shoulders for a job well done recruiting these two.
Soap's all chatty, smiling at the customers, greeting everyone with a big smile, and joking around with them. The customers love him the most, and he probably has like four reviews praising him highly on Yelp or some shit like that. The newbies love him too.
Gaz isn't as energetic as Soap, but he’s also friendly and always ready to help. Both he and Soap make the best work buddies, and Gaz is secretly Price's favorite.
I imagine Soap and Gaz are always competing against each other for fun: who cleans the store the fastest, who scans items faster, who makes more money by the end of the shift, who restocks the shelves the quickest. There's a clipboard in the break room where the rookies keep a list of their ongoing competition.
Their charisma and good mood is also one of the main reasons why they mainly work at the registers and not in the back. That's where Ghost works most of the time, always filling up shelves or planning the next day ahead with Price in the office. It’s just better for everyone that way.
Ghost probably has a resting bitch face and looks annoyed and ready to run someone over with the pallet truck 24/7, but he’s actually really helpful if you ask him something. He’s the type to walk customers to the items instead of just pointing in the general direction. Nice elderly people love him, and kids and young adults immediately jump onto the shelves to make room for him when he needs to get by. Ghost is probably that silent coworker you’re never sure if he hates you or tolerates you, but I’m sure he gives the best advice to the rookies next to Price.
When dealing with difficult customers, Price is the best at handling them—always level-headed and cool, never losing his composure. Not even Laswell is this patient, and the woman has probably been in the industry the longest.
Now, Soap and Gaz? They don't take disrespect. They try their best to stay friendly, but they know "The customer is always right" is not the full quote, and they make sure the assholes know it too if they go too far. Price has to intervene every single time before shit really hits the fan. I haven't seen much of Gaz, but based on the bit of gameplay I saw, Soap is probably the worse of the two. Gaz would probably get all sassy and sarcastic, and Soap would just speak his mind, damn the consequences.
Ghost, on the other hand, never lashes out at anyone. It doesn't matter how difficult they are—he’s the type to just stare them down quietly and wait for backup so he can retreat in peace and let someone else handle the mess, mostly Price or Laswell. But that doesn't mean he isn't pissed. He gets broodier than usual, and to cool off, he just waits for Soap to have his break so they can talk shit and gossip together.
Shepherd is probably that asshole manager who visits from time to time and always finds something to complain about. Graves is that one exchange coworker from another store who sometimes gets sent over when the personnel won’t be enough for the shift. At the beginning, everyone liked him, especially Soap, who got along with him like they were long-lost brothers, but Graves said some bullshit one day or did something disrespectful, and now everyone hates him—Soap especially. My guy doesn’t forgive nor forget, same as Ghost. Everyone else just tries to ignore Graves to the best of their ability.
When the shift ends, they always stay behind and talk a bit about work or life. It’s the most wholesome shit. Soap's probably the guy to come to work on a bike, but I think after everyone got comfortable with each other, Soap either lets himself be driven home by Gaz (Soap has some serious gas money debt) or by Ghost.

Pairing BG3 companions
I made every possible pairing and how I think they would look.
(this is just my opinion and i'm still fairly new to bg3 and i have yet to thoroughly meet the characters so there's probably inaccuracies but this is all in good fun)
Astarion:
+Shadowheart = banter, sassiness, sexiness, BIG issues with opening up, enemies to lovers trope
+Gale = canonically compete and have a hilarious grudge against each other, also canonically hilarious when irritated, beneath the comedic duo is a gorgeous romance (neither experienced genuine love, just use and abuse), canonically both are devoted lovers
+Karlach = beautiful gorgeous precious, she would adore and protect him and he could never hurt her, perhaps better as platonic but either way very nice
+Wyll = definitely Astarion teasing Wyll for being a "noble fairytale prince", perhaps stemming from Astarion's grudge about never being saved and then ironically being with a savior, Wyll would be very patient and kind and it would piss Astarion off before he had a breakdown about it
+Lae'zel = possibly the toughest combo, Astarion might like her spiciness but i'm honestly not sure what would get her to warm up to him, they're both survivors tough, under Astarion's prissiness is someone who's gone through many hardships and so has Lae'zel so trauma bonding might be possible, they could also bond about their regrets about hurting people in the past, i could see some mutual respect there some day
Shadowheart:
+Gale = don't know how to explain but this just makes sense, they would look like an obvious couple, definitely bonding about being devoted to people who never deserved their loyalty, they'd also hilariously sass at people
+Karlach = beautiful gorgeous yes, sexy girl power and all but jokes aside very precious, i mean we do remember Shadowheart's first comment towards Karlach right?, Shadowheart would definitely be receiving princess treatment
+Wyll = gorgeous couple, i can see Shadow snarking at people and Wyll sending apologetic looks but she would be very soft with him in private, he would definitely have her guard down and cherish her
+Lae'zel = no idea how to explain but Katara and Toph vibes??, the tough girl and the princess, they've got guts the both of them, they'd be badass, just two hot girlfriends judging everyone
Gale:
+Karlach = precioussssssss, they'd be so good to each other, they're both such good companions and lovers, they'd protect and cherish each other very much
+Wyll = Wyll's duty and fairness and Gale's devotion? their full devotion to their lovers? their hearts entirely in the romance? yeah i could see them being sickeningly sweet husbands
+Lae'zel = see this i think would be pretty iconic, the loving wizard and his warrior wife, he'd be so nice to her and she could heal and learn so much
Karlach:
+Wyll = oh we knowwwwww this is top tier, the prince of the group and the most precious woman on earth, obviously perfect for each other
+Lae'zel = Karlach would hug and tease the hell out of her and she would grumble so much, they'd be pretty cool and sweet at the same time
Wyll:
+ Lae'zel = yes, yes this could work, kind of similar to Gale and Lae'zel in the sense that Wyll would be very kind to her and she'd be baffled and caught off guard, i can see her changing a lot as the relationship goes on, she'd probably eventually be a bit softer and nicer, maybe a little less murdery, but obviously still cool

Omg I LOVE your pinescone stories they give me life :3 I have a few questions is you don’t mind
What is your favorite pinescone head cannon?
What is your favorite au?
Which one’s your least?
I saw that you used to write parapines is that still a ship that you write about or will is forever be in your heart?
In a zombie apocalypse how do you think the Pines family including Wendy and Soos etc (+ Wirt & Greg) would go about it? Who would survive?
That’s all the questions I have for now :3
((Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoy my writing! It means the world to me. And yes, please feel free to ask any question you have.))
1. My number 1 headcanon is that they are equals-- that even with their strengths and weaknesses, their differences, they both value each other so dearly; to the point you almost forget that they're a crossover ship because of how much these two complete each other. And by that I mean, the two look at each other like the other is the moon and the stars. If these two aren't hopelessly in love and amazed by their partner, I don't want it! I hate when Wirt is forced to be in the back, or is made weaker and more cowardly by the narrative; I hate the concept of Wirt being just a pretty face for Dipper to save, or that anything Wirt can do-- Dipper does better. I don't mind Dipper saving Wirt, I don't mind Wirt being cautious or uncertain, or even afraid-- but I love when Wirt gets to be heroic too (because he is). I love seeing him excel at the things he's good at, and I think he brings strategy to the team dynamic that is not utilized enough; Wirt is the guy who's going to notice Dipper's blindspots and point them out to better strengthen the plan. I love when they both get to be sassy; their personalities would give them such good banter to bounce off each other. They are both adorable, dorky, emotional, but also very hotheaded and stubborn characters. There are few ships where I feel like any direction you go is canonical because of how multifaceted they are as characters (that's not to say I agree or like all of directions, but I can at least acknowledge why that decision was made). Wirt doesn't always have to be the one held up by sticky tape! Out of all the bad end friends-- Wirt is the only one I've see that canonically did not fall for a demon's trick. He never got posessed, he never made a deal, he wasn't tricked--if anything, he actually called the bluff of said Demon (something that Dipper failed the first time) when he was like 14 years old. I want to see more of that in my pinescone. The idea that Wirt would be so easily tricked by Bill just doesn't sit right with me. It never has.
Another headcanon I'm more in favor of: Dipper can cook (I know a lot of people have headcanoned him as the bad cook between him and Mabel, and between him and Wirt-- but he's literally the guy who follows steps and checklist-- what do you mean he doesn't know how to use a cookbook?
If anything, Mabel is the wildcard who can either make something really delicious....or put you in the hospital for food poisoning. You'll notice in my more recent fics the...monstrosities Mabel has loving created in the kitchen, and that she's even been banned from one kitchen before.
So yeah, Dipper can cook, Wirt can cook--and I love the idea of these two cooking together. I have others, but some are a little more risque, and this is already going to be a long ask, so I won't write everything down-- but here are two of my big headcanons (One was more a rant, apologies). 2. My favorite au, I don't wanna sound pretentious, but most Pinescone Au's I enjoy are the ones I've made for myself-- I have a lot of ideas, and so I think up a lot of situations with these dorks, though most are just free floating in my brain right now. Eventually I want to write them all down, but that may take some time. The closest Pinescone au that I enjoy that isn't mine is a mix of monsterfalls/Musume. Basically where Wirt is a human and he falls in love with Deerper-- and the two have to navigate that kind of relationship while certain laws and societal norms want to dissaude them from forming an interspecial relationship (even though in monsterfalls, most people became monsters from other means, rather than just being born monsters) Either way, the idea of Deerper snuggling up to a human Wirt and flirting through Cervitaur mating rituals is so fucking cute-- and I have wanted to write a small series story for that au. Also, just a shout out, but I enjoy @clubsheartsspades Pinescone meet-weirds! Those are such fun aus-- they've made for some of my personal favorite oneshots!
Also, even though they just started, I'm really enjoying that Au where the two start off on the wrong foot in "Horrible First Impressions" by Philia. I want those two to fuck nasty make out in their creative writing class! The tension is so good, and I can't wait to see the turning point where frustration becomes affection. 3. My least favorite au might be more clear-- as you'll notice a lack of two specific....villains in most of my fiction. Basically, Dead Ends Friends, but specifically Murder Husbands is on my low list of au's. To me, Bill and Beast are defeated; I rather the story revolve around Dipper and Wirt facing new challenges and deadly foes-- not the same one's they took care of as children. I don't mind if people like using Bill or Beast (they're great, entertaining villains, I get why people love them). I even love a lot of the art that involves Bipper and Weast; it's amazing art as usual. But I don't consider either aus to be Pinescone-- as it's just Bill and The Beast inhabiting their bodies. I'd enjoy it more if I could see glimpses of Dipper and Wirt in some moments, where they're allowed to take comfort and fall in love before their bodies are once more puppeted by the demons. If the story is just beast and bill doing fucked up things in their host-- with no shift to the real people underneath-- then It's not really what I want to read. I don't mind possession stories, or one being controlled-- I don't mind some darker content (Proxxy is an old Pinescone fic that is still very sexy and fucked-- and it involves Bill possessing Wirt... but the thing is, Wirt doesn't just take a back seat; his thoughts are still being shown to the audience. We still get to know what he's thinking and feeling, even when he has no control over his body). That kind of shit, now that I love. But again, Bill and Beast are NOT Dipper and Wirt to me.
4. Parapines has a soft spot in my heart, but I have moved on from the ship entirely. I made a joke about it once:
(Which again, it's just a joke but it does feel like thousands of years have passed). In all seriousness, I don't think I'll be coming back to the Parapines fandom. I think I once wanted to do a fic where Dipper and Wirt broke up, and for the summer, Dipper started dating Norman, before making up with Wirt again, as a kind of farewell, final sendoff to my old ship. I never finished it, but who knows, I still have the rough draft. I have a lot of WIPS I keep just in case I wanna come back and finish (you'd be surprised how many of my fics were wips for years before I posted them to ao3). 5. In a zombie apocalypse? They all would. We saw the pines family + Wendy and Soos survive a demon apocolypse, I think they can take on a zombie apocalypse as well. Wirt and Greg would be more beat up and worse for wear, but I imagine they could hold their own, until they met up with the Pines Family (though I had one zombie au but that's a different story). Now if they were all separated, or at least how would they stand on their own? Here's what I think (I'll try not to get too graphic): Dipper- Either survives/ Holds out for a long time, but would likely sacrifice himself to save someone he loves--Zombied Mabel- Either Survives/ (If Dipper dies) she would lose hope and probably fall prey to a bite--Zombied Soos- Zombied Stan- Survives / (If both twins Zombied) he would lose hope and be zombied next Ford- Survives Wendy- Survives Pacifica- Zombied Wirt- Would try to hold out if protecting Greg, though may also take his and Greg's life to spare them both. (Self Inflicted). Greg- (If he's young) Zombied without Wirt/ possibly mercy killed by Wirt (if he's an adult): Survives, though heavily traumatized. Maybe having lost a limb to stop a bite from spreading. ((Thank you so much for the ask, I appreciated this so much! Wow this was a lot and I'm so happy <3 I love receiving asks about these two!))

Now for the long-awaited Glep x Marge horde! Ever since I first started working on this next gen as a serious project, I knew these two would have a whole horde of kids because of how madly in love I think they are. Glep has that raw bad boy edge and Marge is smoking hot so of course they have a big family to prove how much time they’ve spent loving each other if you catch my drift. They may have seven whole kids, but they’re just as youthful and energized as ever, which is far more than what can be said about Pim and his four kids. To outsiders, Glep looks like he’s fooling around on an iPad all day, but he’s somehow managing to give each of his kids proper attention AND keep Marge relaxed and satisfied. He’s got to be warping time itself to do all of that because I don’t know how you can have time for a full-time job AND seven kids AND a stable marriage without it wearing on you. Who knows how Glep does it.
As for the kids themselves, from right to left we have:
Blep inherited her mom’s supermodel looks but has an aesthetic all her own, going for a goth look that makes her look almost otherworldly combined with her unnaturally green skin. This combined with her speaking exclusively in her dad’s Wingon tongue leads people to make a lot of assumptions about her, that she’s weird or even scary, but the truth is that she’s very nice and sociable. She sometimes joins Kip and Dottie as a third to their trio, as aside from their common interests, both girls can relate to having assumptions made about them based on their looks.
Suzy, to many, looks like a hairball sliding around on the ground, but she would feel utterly insulted if you described her that way. She has her dad’s body and her mom’s luscious locks, though most don’t know where the hair ends and body begins. Despite her face being completely concealed, she’s so eloquent in her speech and mannerisms that you could completely forget that she’s basically a pile of hair as you become entranced in a conversation with her. She’s a classy lady and every unusual part of her only adds to her allure.
Gola is a model at some high-end agency, with an unbreakable confidence and an insatiable need to make sure the whole world knows how sharp her style is. She is quite sassy but can also be kind of dumb, arguing until she’s blue in the face to defend a claim that is flat out wrong just so she can have the satisfaction of being right. She’s also picked up a lot of her speech patterns from her dad’s friend Allan, so catch her comically mispronouncing a lot of words as well.
Chad is a pretty normal guy. As engaged in meme culture as any of his generation and especially as a child of the tech savvy Glep, so sometimes the family will be hit with a “skill issue” or “had to do it to em.” He likes to act like he doesn’t care what people think of him and will often lounge around in socks and sandals when not cosplaying as a meme. Sarcasm and jokes get a good laugh out of him but not when they’re at his expense, like when his siblings compare him to Stuart Little because of his abnormally short, less-than-two-foot stature.
Giorno is a total gym rat, who cannot get through a single day without going through his elaborate full-body routine. He lives off of whey smoothies and many speculate lots of steroids, but he won’t confirm or deny that. School and work hardly matter to him as long as there’s gym. Workout stuff aside he has a sharp sense of humor and can engage in some good witty banter, especially with his best friend, favorite workout buddy, and love interest, Ell Pimling.
Eep, in contrast to her more eloquent and self-assured twin Suzy, is a shy little thing whose personality is as small as her stature. She is super sweet and loving with the people and critters she trusts most, and almost everyone she meets finds her very likable. This agreeability is something she finds joy in, but she has a hard time speaking up for herself when she wants something or disagrees. Her “speaking” sounds more like a squeaky dog toy than actual speech, but just like everyone can understand Glep’s Wingon tongue, she is perfectly clear to everyone when she does express herself.
Glorp is the least imposing critter you will ever meet. He is practically a background character. Every time he opens his mouth one of his siblings, parents, or peers starts speaking, so nobody knows what his voice sounds like or what his personality is. He doesn’t put up any fuss as he walks or slithers around with his noodly body, so everyone assumes he is perfectly content with the way things are. Nobody has asked him but he would probably agree based on his facial expression.

Do you have any specific sparrington headcanons?
Hey ♥️🫂
Oh, yes! I have a little AU for them 😄 Post AWE, James survives!AU + headcanons
James befriends Will and Lizzie and this means he sees Jack very often; one day Jack and James have a sincere talk and they forgive each other - they still love to banter but they're now on good terms only
Jack sees that James is lost and lonely so he says that James isn't admiral anymore but he will always be a seaman and Pearl needs such a fine sailor and then James, seeing that there's a place for him and feeling something in his heart (and being tired of his society) decides to join Jack's crew
Jack and James are more and more fascinated with each other, they enjoy working together (and admire each other's skills - maybe Jack will finally hear "the best pirate I have ever seen" 😂), they notice there are things they share, they talk a lot about sea, books (James loves Jack's knowledge), legends, so many things, about Will and other friends, they joke sometimes, Jack helps James in his new pirate life and is amazed how much piratey (and hard-working) James is
they truly enjoy each other's company but they still have some issues and they misunderstand each other sometimes; Gibbs sees that and tries to help them, he tells James about Jack's trust issues, about all people that betrayed and hurt Jack, he tells that Jack (like James) was abused by own family, he also tells about Jack's heroic deeds and all great adventures he had
James talks with Jack, he says how much he understands him now, he says Jack can always trust him, he also tells Jack about his own past, about abusive childhood (those details that Jack didn't know) and dreams; they become friends
soon they see they're in love but they're both insecure/they panic - Jack thinks that James wants some fine lady and that he's generally the worst love interest for James and James thinks that he's not romantically good/interesting enough for Jack, he also thinks that Jack may see a relationship as chains, plus: James needs a stable and long-term relationship and he wants to be someone's the only one
somehow these two dorks confess their love and their fears (maybe when they're arguing? when they're jealous? - let's say Angelica or someone else pops up and they and James behave like two fighting cats, Jack is irritated so he is irritating 😉, James is pissed of, boys start teasing each other and soon they're yelling and boom!)
after confessing they have a talk, they realize they need each other and can heal their souls together; James says that he wants Jack, he loves and respects everything about him and Jack says that he never felt needed but it is nice to be needed, he was bitter about love issues but James happens to be his love, a genuine one so Jack is lost 😄 Jack needs James as much as he needs the sea (even more, he fears 😉) and sweet sassy Norrington (never Borrington!) is definitely enough for him
Jack makes James' first tattoo (it's a bank swallow)
James wants to have another tattoo (with Jack's name or something like that) and Jack wants to have “Jamie” tattoo on his chest (close to his heart)
Hm, what else…
they are forever together, they have many adventures with their pirate family, they can get married or not (if they decide to, then Gibbs is their officiant and Will & Lizzie are their groomsman and groomsmaid)
they have no kids but they are fantastic uncles for little Turner(s) and all pirate kids (James calls them piratelings)
they find a very poor stray cat on the street and they take him with them (they live on Pearl but they also have some cosy place somewhere) - they have a Cat's Name Discussion 😛
of course they have their Sparrington Chemistry all the time and they still love teasing and flirting with each other
Jack loves when James is sassy to their enemies and he generally loves his sarcasm, sometimes he calls James “Your Sarcasmness”
James is grateful that Teague once saved his life but he has no respect for him and he isn't afraid to tell Teague what an awful father he’s for Jack
Jack says that James is the only good in Norrington family; they both have hate for Lawrence (James now understands what an evil his father was) and for James' cousin Fitzwilliam P. Dalton III (they call him Fitzy and they pronounce it in a funny way) - Jack sees him as annoying remorseless liar, James sees his older cousin as spoiled man and Lawrence’s favourite boy (Lawrence treated Fitzy much better than he treated James and he was always like “James, your cousin this… your cousin that…”)
they're a perfect duo also when they fight (enemies know it well)
they love kissing each other, they shiver from love and desire, they love cuddling in bed (they love their physical and mental intimacy, they're happy they're lovers AND friends, they feel soooo safe and good with each other)
they don't hide their emotions, they don't lie to each other, there's no shame in their relationship (You need to cry? Then cry! I will cry with you. I will comfort you. I will give you warmth)
they support each other and are loyal to each other but sometimes they have different ideas or one is like "NO, we WON'T do it!" and the other is like "Oh yes, darling, we WILL!" and their pirate family is so done 😂 They're comedy gold sometimes!
when they need some relationship advice they both go to Will (Lizzie hears everything and she usually rolls her eyes 😂)
they are very grateful they have such friends like Will and Lizzie (and all their pirate family)
James is friends with monkey Jack, Cotton's parrot, Poochie and Will's donkey and it cracks Jack up (plus: "That monkey, REALLY?"); Jack also finds it adorable and oh, he pretends he's irritated when James says that deep down Jack loves that monkey 😄
when people ask James why he "betrayed" his society (king's men) he says "Saved by pirates" and he smiles (or "Saved by a pirate" and he looks at Jack lovingly)
sometimes after arguing with Jack, Hector goes to James and is like "You are rational one, right? So PLEASE, if you could..." - but sometimes James is more goofy than Jack and then Hector is dying inside 😛

Hello hello! Let’s get some fun positivity up in this fandom!
After Buddie get together, what is a storyline for them you would give anything to see them get? It can be something with just them, or something with them and Chris. Or both!
For me, I want to see them go on a double date with Henren or have a date night/game night with Madney. I think those would be fun things to see them do. I can just picture them out dancing with Henren or getting Buck and Maddie getting super competitive over a game of Uno while Eddie and Chim just sit there in exasperated fondness over their Buckley sibling 😂 not to mention the banter? It would be top notch. Sassy Eddie would have a blast 😂😂
With Chris, while I do want to see some adjustment period with them, Buck getting use to having a more full time active parental role, Chris getting use to that as well, and maybe even just a little wary at first of them dating because hello he’s seen both of them dating people for years now(but not to long before he’s like ok this is fine) ultimately I’d love to see them just have some nice sweet family moments with the three of them again like we used to get. Them on the couch playing video games, out at the park playing, maybe now that Chris is older we can see the three of them on the couch watching one of their telenovela’s re season 6, just all 3 sitting there under the blanket, with 4 s’mores this time, one for each and the extra for Shannon, showing the full integration of Buck into the family 😁
Oooh I like this one Nonny. Thank you so much! Fandom-wise these have been a rough couple of months/weeks/days. The Buddie fandom can use some positivity at the moment.
I guess, after they are together, I would like to see the little domestic scenes. Them cooking together, often stopping in the middle of their activities to kiss 'cause it's all still very new and they can't keep their hands (and lips) off each other. :)
I'd also like to see some drama. One of them stays behind in a fire or a building collapses on top of them or something like that. They could still be in a secret relationship at this point. One of them worried to death, running straight into a burning building, Bobby holding them back. Them pleading with Bobby to let them go in. When they finally find them and take them to the hospital, Bobby, Chim and Hen all share a look, realising that something has shifted in Buddie's relationship. I just need some good juicy drama and hurt/comfort.
As for Chris. Just like you, I'd love to see them navigate their new life together. Chris a little wary at first, but quickly realising that he gets to have Buck around all the time now and he's so happy with that. Them just being a family, enjoying time together. It would be so great.
I love your idea with the s'mores and how they would have one extra for Shannon. I would burst into tears for sure.
What about all the other Buddie fans? Let's open up this question for others as well:
After Buddie get together, what is a storyline for them you would give anything to see them get? It can be something with just them, or something with them and Chris. Or both!
Feel free to reblog and add your own storylines. Or just put it in the tags.
Let us bring some positivity back. This fandom is unbeatable! It's the best of the best!
#buddie#buddie speculation#let's do this people#I'm tired of all the toxicity and negativity in the 911 fandom#so let's create some Buddie positivity#nonnies galore

Ciri & Riku: A Comparison
Hello, all!
If you've seen my Reigisa x SquidBob masterpost, you'll realize I am no stranger to comparing characters from totally different franchises. (Yes, I am mentioning that post yet again thank you very much!)
And as the title suggests, that is exactly what I intend to do right here, right now!
I mean, how could I not compare these two? They've each got four letters in their names, for one. Hello!? 😝
No, but in all seriousness, I simply had no choice but to make this post because I would probably go insane otherwise. You may find this insightful, or you may find that I'm living up to my URL. Either way, give it a read below the cut. 🤡⬇️
⚠️WARNING: There will be spoilers in this post
Physical Appearance
While they wouldn't be mistaken as twins or anything, you may have already noticed some physical similarities between Ciri and Riku just from the banner.
Swords drawn, stony expressions, battle stances ready. But most of all... a rather unique hair color. 👩🦳
Often a mark of the character having mystical origins, I immediately found it interesting that - despite being somewhat different shades - the ashen/silver hair was a trait that these two characters happened to share.
God they are so pretty
In addition to the hair, they both just happen to have distinctly green eyes. Like their eyes could literally be any other color, but nooo. They both have eye colors that fall within the green spectrum.
Interesting... 🤔
Personality and Defining Characteristics
While I've clowned a bit about their similar physical appearances, the similarities do run much deeper than that. Otherwise, I doubt I'd have much to say in this post - and I do have quite a bit to say.
So, let's start from the beginning, shall we?
Even as children, both Ciri and Riku are shown to have a desire to break free from circumstance and not be restrained. Growing up, their situations seem pretty great. However, neither of them see it that way.
For Ciri, she is actually a princess (which she isn't thrilled about), so she grew up in a royal palace before crossing paths with Geralt. However, traveling along the path like a witcher is what she sees as her ticket to freedom. That's precisely why the Witcher Ciri ending is seen as the "Good" or "Best" ending in the game - and I agree! It truly is. 😊
As for Riku, he grew up on what seems like an island paradise. Yet, he feels trapped and wants to see what else is out there. Namely, he wants to leave the islands and explore other worlds (coincidentally something he and Ciri have done during their respective adventures), which drives his whole narrative arc throughout the Kingdom Hearts series.
Something both Ciri and Riku are known for is their resilience and courage, which is often shown by them risking their lives for those they love and care about. Finding the strength to protect what matters, if you will.
"This is my story, not yours. You must let me finish telling it." (Ciri to Geralt, right before confronting the White Frost)
All in all, they can be fiercely independent and protective, having no issue taking matters into their own hands and doing things alone if it means everyone else will be safe from harm.
Both of them must ultimately face the foe that has haunted them throughout the game(s) - for Ciri, that comes in the form of the White Frost, while Riku must consistently face the Darkness.
Although, while this is primarily an outside threat in Ciri's case, the battle is equally external as it as internal for Riku.
(Riku facing the Demon Tide, moments before sacrificing himself for Sora)
While these two can undoubtedly buckle down and get serious when the time calls for it, Ciri and Riku do have playful and even sassy sides to their personalities - which are often shown by them bantering with and affectionately teasing Geralt and Sora, respectively. Examples here and here.
Side note: Having the option for Ciri to come to Corvo Bianco almost makes me not want to romance Yennifer (sorry Triss x Geralt fans, I'm a Yen x Geralt believer). I just adore their father/daughter banter 🤗
Gameplay
As you can see, Ciri and Riku are both incredibly important characters within their respective games despite not being the main character.
So, while you will spend most of your time playing as Geralt or Sora, there are brief intervals where you actually do get to play as Ciri and Riku.
In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, there are various opportunities to play as Ciri. These often come in the form of the "Ciri's Story" main quests which detail her adventures as Geralt searches for her.
Meanwhile, you primarily play as Sora throughout the Kingdom Hearts numbered titles and spin-offs (with a few exceptions like 358/2 Days). Ironically enough, it's Kingdom Hearts 3 that enables you to play as Riku during certain story sequences in a similar fashion as Ciri.
Sure, there are other games like Dream Drop Distance and Chain of Memories where you can play as Riku much more extensively. However, the KH3 inclusion is notable as a main game and - technically - also being the third game, like Witcher 3.
He's also temporarily playable at one point during the battle with Xemnas in Kingdom Hearts 2, which kind of reminds me of the character-switching during Witcher 3's "Battle of Kaer Morhen" quest.
And if that wasn't curious enough, even some of their combat moves are similar. For example:
Riku's "Dark Aura" move is very similar to Ciri's "Blink" attack as they both use a teleportation mechanic to attack multiple enemies at once very quickly.
Ciri's "Charge" ability is similar to Riku's "Dark Roll," which allows them to dash out of harm's way in a flash.
As you can see, they both use a combination of magic and swordfighting techniques (or Keyblade, in Riku's case), making it fairly easy to draw comparisons between their fighting styles.
Role in the Story
As I mentioned above, Ciri and Riku aren't the main characters of their games, but they are still very important - both to the actual protagonist and the plot itself.
Essentially, they both have similarities that are woven deep within the story.
Let's dive a little deeper.
Relationship to Protagonist
"If two people share one, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives... no matter what." (Riku telling Sora about the paopu fruit legend in Kingdom Hearts)
Upon looking at the text, it's clear that Ciri and Riku's destinies are intertwined with those of Geralt and Sora.
While Riku and Sora haven't explicitly shared a paopu fruit, as Riku's quote suggests (unless you count the Gayblade), that doesn't seem to matter as their stories consistently collide as the series progresses.
There have been sooo many analysis posts and videos on the implications of Sora and Riku's relationship - all of which are great!
But as an example, in Melody of Memory, it is Riku's dreams that are destined to lead him to Sora in Quadratum, where he went missing after abusing the Power of Waking.
In Dream Drop Distance, Yen Sid makes it explicitly clear that Riku "stands the better chance" of saving Sora from the darkness. Not Mickey, not Kairi, not anyone else - it has to be Riku.
In Kingdom Hearts, Riku's Keyblade comes to Sora's aid - which seems to be fairly unique to them as far as sharing Keyblades goes (i.e., no other character has done it).
Geralt and Ciri are also brought together by destiny.
Before Ciri's birth, Emhyr (known as "Duny" at the time) was under a curse. Geralt managed to cure him of his curse and when Duny asked what he wanted in return, Geralt invoked The Law of Surprise, which essentially states that he must give him "that which you possess, but do not yet know." Turns out, Pavetta was pregnant with Ciri and, thus, Ciri became Geralt's "Child of Surprise," binding their fates together.
"... Geralt and Ciri, however, are bound by something else. Something stronger than fate itself.” (excerpt from the Witcher series' second book, Sword of Destiny)
What makes this connection that much stronger is that while fate may have brought these characters together, it is ultimately their choice to continue down its path. Their respective love for each other and the bond they share transcends destiny by a long shot. And that is just beautiful. 🩵
I noted before that both Ciri and Riku can be headstrong and willing to face any danger for their friends' (particularly Geralt and Sora) sakes. But of course, they can't do this without their respective protagonists giving them the encouragement they need to persevere in the face of their hardships.
In fact, for Ciri, Geralt's actions towards her actually play a huge role in determining her fate at the end of the game. If Geralt is a bad dad, she can literally die as a result.
Riku's primarily goal throughout the series is to protect Sora - even at the latter's insistence that he doesn't have to do everything on his own. To Riku, "everything is for Sora."
Obviously, the relationships between Riku & Sora and Ciri & Geralt are vastly different in nature.
Ciri and Geralt have a relationship that closely resembles that of a daughter and father, and they sometimes even refer to each other as such and accept that as their relationship.
On the other hand, Riku and Sora are best friends. Oftentimes, their relationship borders on not-so-platonic, with the two of them not even feeling comfortable with defining their bond as brotherly, per the character files.
Despite these differences, it's evident that Ciri and Riku both consider Geralt and Sora to be the person who is most precious to them.
With that said, I do want to segue from our deuteragonists to focus on our main heroes for a sec.
While it would be somewhat humorous to try and compare Geralt and Sora, they do have a common goal: finding Ciri and Riku.
Geralt's primarily quest for much of Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is finding Ciri and protecting her from the dark forces that are after her (will talk about more in the next sub-section).
In Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 2, Sora is dead-set on finding and rescuing Riku.
Not to throw Kairi under the bus (I swear, I'm a Kairi supporter), but even when she gets captured, Sora doesn't really seem to waver on his goal to find Riku. Yes, he now wants to find both of his friends, but his priorities don't shift away from Riku, despite Kairi being in imminent danger.
And then, when the lost is finally found, there's the emotional reunion. 🥹
I'm just going to put the clips here because they speak for themselves.
youtube
youtube
I literally tear up every time I watch the scene between Ciri and Geralt here. The momentary despair turned into relief, the flashbacks, the music. Honestly, the buildup to this moment couldn't have been better, in my opinion. 👏
And the reunion between Sora and Riku (and Kairi) is probably the very scene that led me - and many others - to start seeing their relationship romantically. Even if Riku doesn't quite look like himself here, Sora can still see him for who he really is.
Therefore, these reunions are pivotal!
Speaking of which, something else I noticed was the presence of light or how Ciri/Riku are acting as Geralt/Sora's guiding light in the darkness.
I will just link the "Riku is the Light" masterpost by @blowingoffsteam2 for some additional reading, but this essentially details how, throughout the series, Riku has been just as much of a light for Sora as Sora has been for him.
How does this relate to Ciri and Geralt, you may ask?
Leading up to the scene I linked above, Geralt travels to the Isle of Mists to find Ciri, which is not a smooth journey by any means. It's foggy, dark, and generally impossible to navigate on one's own.
Except, Geralt is not alone.
Accompanying him to the Isle of Mists is a tiny ball of light. 🌟
As you may have noticed from the clip above, this ball of light turns out to be part of Ciri herself. Or, in Kingdom Hearts terms, this ball of light could be from her heart.
In Kingdom Hearts, it's heavily implied that Sora was given the Keyblade in the first place when he touched the light of Riku's heart before his fall to darkness.
We've seen very similar imagery of hearts rejoining with the body in Kingdom Hearts, waking the person and making them whole again.
Naturally, in the first game, it's the Disney Princesses getting their hearts back.
Ciri is technically a princess in her own right, but she is also being directly paralleled with Snow White - a Disney Princess and a "Princess of Heart" in KH. Like Snow White, she is trapped in a death slumber while being protected by 7 dwarves, only to be awakened by the power of true (fatherly) love.
(Cry with me 🥹😭)
With the Princess of Heart connection, I suppose this instance could be both a Riku and Kairi parallel. I'm open to that interpretation, but the fact that the light guided Geralt to Ciri (a.k.a. the person most precious to him) makes me primarily connect this with Riku's light guiding Sora, like in the KH3 example below.
(Not to mention the ample Disney Princess parallels between them as well)
Anyways, I hope Riku and Sora get an emotional reunion in Kingdom Hearts 4 that has me absolutely weeping. 🙏
Terra and Geralt
I've mentioned how the relationships between Ciri/Geralt and Riku/Sora differ in nature.
Geralt's connection with Ciri made it possible for her to learn the ways of a witcher and become one herself (sans mutations). Ciri sees Geralt as more of a father than her actual one.
But as it turns out, Riku has also had an older figure in his life that made it possible for him to learn the way of the Keyblade.
Enter Terra!
Terra, unfortunately, hasn't played nearly as big a role in Riku's journey as Geralt has for Ciri. Although, Terra being guided to Destiny Islands by Riku's light and bestowing him with the Keyblade plays a massive role in Riku's story from this point forward.
Now, I sincerely hope you didn't expect to go through this post without some clownery because I am here to deliver! 🤡
One of the reasons Terra didn't have a huge role in training Riku with the Keyblade was because he was overtaken by darkness, specifically Master Xehanort's darkness.
When Terra becomes possessed by Xehanort's heart, turning him into "Terranort," he undergoes a rather interesting transformation.
Yes, that's right. White hair and yellow eyes.
In Kingdom Hearts, these characteristics tend to be attributed to those who have been "Norted" or possessing fragments of Xehanort.
Coincidentally enough, it also seems to describe the appearance of a certain Geralt of Rivia, a witcher who has undergone advanced mutations that also gave him those traits.
*SCREAMING*
I warned you about the clownery here, but... are you kidding me with this!?
I mean, c'mon!
Target of Dark Forces
I've talked a bit about how Ciri and Riku are fighting against the White Frost and the Darkness, respectively, at the climax of their narratives.
However, there are other dark forces in hot pursuit, hoping to use them for their own purposes.
For the majority of Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Ciri is on the run from the titular villains - a group of hostile Aen Elle elves known as the "Wild Hunt" or Dearg Ruadhri (Red Riders). This group is led by Eredin, King of the Wild Hunt.
I will discuss this more in-depth later, but Ciri's abilities come from a gene she possesses known as Elder Blood, which originated with the Aen Elle. Being part of this race, the Wild Hunt want to capture Ciri in order to reintroduce the gene back into their bloodline.
The Wild Hunt are frequently compared to phantoms and shadows, said to be omens of war. Also, they murder unicorns, so they're total dicks.
Sounds kind of like darkness, huh?
In the books, Ciri - albeit reluctantly - does concede and do what they want, before making her escape when it doesn't go according to plan.
During the events of Kingdom Hearts, Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, plays a similar role in trying to compel Riku to the darkness with the goal of using him for his own means. He even goes as far as to take control over Riku's body towards the end of the game.
Unlike Ciri, Riku gives into Ansem's plans more willingly and acts more as an antagonist in this game as a result - a decision he later spends the rest of the series trying to atone for.
But it isn't just Eredin/the Wild Hunt and Ansem trying to get a piece of the Ciri and Riku pie. 🍰
Along Ciri's journey, she encounters a trio of creepy witch sisters known as The Crones. Or the Ladies of the Wood, if you're a naïve villager.
The Crones are... how do I put this?
Grotesque. Morbid. Evil.
(And yes, they eat people. Children, specifically.)
When they come across a weakened Ciri during her journey, they recognize that she possesses Elder Blood. They debate whether to turn her over to Eredin or eat her themselves.
While Ciri manages to escape them before they can turn her into stew (and kills them later on), they are highly calculating and manipulative, preying on the whims and desires of anyone who crosses their path.
"Manipulative," "calculating," and "preying" are words that could also be used to describe another evil witch who intends to use our gifted child for ill will.
Of course I'm referring to Maleficent. The Mistress of Evil, herself.
Throughout the first game, Maleficent preys on Riku's insecurities and the darkness forming in his heart.
Interestingly enough, both Maleficent and The Crones attempt to establish a sense of familiarity with Riku and Ciri. Maleficent uses terms like "dear child" and even refers to Riku as being "like a son" to her. During their encounter with Geralt, the Crones outright claim they cared for Ciri as if she were their own daughter.
As you've likely guessed, all four of these wicked witches have ulterior motives when it comes to our ashen/silver-haired heroes.
Their use of the affectionate "son" and "daughter" terminology is less meant to convey genuine concern over their well-being, but more so used as a guise of their true manipulative and predatory nature.
Both Maleficent and the Crones see Riku and Ciri as pawns to gaining ultimate power and control, and their "protection" of them is purely conditional and twisted.
Just Another INSANE Coincidence (to me)
Now this next comparison is going to be brief but absolutely mind-blowing. I literally could not believe this when I first realized it, it was just that crazy.
So, remember how I mentioned that Ciri is a princess? Her biological mother, Pavetta, was the princess of the kingdom of Cintra and her bio father, Emhyr var Emreis, is the emperor of Nilfgaard - an extremely powerful empire in the Continent.
As you can imagine, Emhyr is pretty set on having his reign continue and tasks Geralt with bringing Ciri back to him to be his successor (of course, if you're like me, you decide "fuck that" and let Ciri be happy).
This isn't shown in the game itself but at some point, Emhyr takes in and marries ew an orphaned girl and passes her off as Ciri. The girl looks similar to Ciri and even takes her name and titles, but she is ultimately still False Ciri.
So, we have a girl bearing a striking resemblance to Ciri, who is believed by everyone to be the real deal despite actually being a "fake."
Hmm. Very interesting.
Ciri has a lookalike.
Almost like... a replica?
I just --🤯
(This quote combined with the wack camera angle never gets old 😂)
The Child of Destiny
If you've made it to this point in the post, congrats!
Before I start headcanoning/theorizing, I want to talk a little bit more about Ciri, her powers, and what makes her generally special.
As I mentioned before, Ciri possesses a magical gift - Elder Blood or Hen Ichaer. This power is also known as the "Lara gene" as it originates with the Aen Elle, specifically their princess - Lara Dorren.
Lara Dorren was a powerful elven sorceress and sage who fell in love with a human mage known as Cregennan of Lod. Tragically, their love was star-crossed, and they both died, leaving their daughter, Riannon, orphaned. Adopted by the Queen and King of Cintra, Riannon then introduced the Elder Blood to the humans, where it eventually reached Ciri.
Therefore, the Elder Blood is very unique, and not many people possess the gene.
As such, Ciri is part of a prophecy, which states that the "Child of the Elder Blood" will save the world from being destroyed by the White Frost.
After Kingdom Hearts Dark Road came out, along with all the theories surrounding it, the prophecy and "Child of the Elder Blood" got me thinking.
Kingdom Hearts X and Kingdom Hearts Union X introduces the Book of Prophecies, which enables Player (because you can have your own character) to harness powers from the future.
With this in mind, it's clear to me now that the Player is paralleling Ithlinne here, who was the prophetess who first spoke of Ciri's prophecy.
The reason I say that is because the Player later takes the form of the "Blue-Cloaked Figure" in Kingdom Hearts Dark Road.
In this game, the Player/Blue-Cloaked Figure arrives on Destiny Islands, where they encounter a little Xehanort. The figure is overjoyed upon finding - who they believe is - the "Child of Destiny."
With this proclamation, the Player fortells of a prophecy in which the "Child of Destiny" (or a child reigning from Destiny Islands) would save the world from being overcome by darkness using the power of light.
The Player also reveals Xehanort as a supposed descendent of Ephemer, which introduces the concept of a special bloodline.
The reason I use the word "supposed" is because, unlike Ithlinne, I think the Player/Blue-Cloaked Figure was completely wrong about Xehanort here.
Obviously, Xehanort does not grow up to save the world from darkness. Rather, he is the villain using the Darkness for his own gain. Therefore, I've seen people say he was the "failed" Child of Destiny or that he somehow lost his destiny when he was tempted by the Darkness.
As for me, I seriously have my doubts that he was ever the Child of Destiny to begin with, and I question if he's even a descendent of Ephemer at all. I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Like many people, I - unsurprisingly - believe that Riku (and Sora) is the true Child of Destiny. I don't think I need to repeat what others have said, but this idea certainly makes all the Xehanort and Riku parallels that much more telling.
And honestly? I can't really say I blame the Player for making this mistake.
Xehanort does become a Keyblade Master, he posesses great potential in his heart, and he just so happened to be a kid on Destiny Islands (at the time). He also has white hair, which may not have much to do with the prophecy itself, but could link him to Ephemer, who coincidentally also had silver/white hair.
@violethowler has a great video series breaking down this and other theories, particularly as it pertains to Riku and Sora - here's season one! @andrewwtca also explores this in their essay (on Tumblr and AO3). Also reco reading the Necklace Theory as well, just for funsies.
Like others have said as well, I also don't think it's far-fetched to believe that Riku is actually the one descended from Ephemer. I mean, you certainly don't have to squint as hard to see the physical resemblance. (Not to mention Avallac'h's sketches of Lara, whom Geralt immediately assumed was Ciri.)
TL;DR
The Player/Blue-Cloaked Figure made an oopsie when it came to who the prophecy was about
Xehanort is not the true Child of Destiny and is likely not a descendant of Ephemer either
Riku is most likely the real Child of Destiny and descendant of Ephemer
Sora is also a Child of Destiny due to his strong connection to others, particularly Riku.
And while the exact phrasing of "Child of Destiny" may not always appear in regard to Ciri, the implication is definitely there as well.
Conclusion
Whew, we made it! This post is already super long, so I'll cut to the chase.
Ciri and Riku may not be carbon copies of each other - nor was that my expectation going into the games and creating this post - but they do share very distinct similarities that make for some really thought-provoking parallels between them.
I definitely went ham on the photos/gifs haha it got to the point where Tumblr was all, "okay, you need to stop," and wouldn't let me add more.
Also, sorry to make yet another Riku post but *shakes fist* he's just so damn interesting! I love all of these characters so much!
That all being said, I hope you enjoyed reading my ramblings.

20 Questions For Fic Writers!
Tagged for this by the wonderful @royallykt. thank youuuu
How many works do you have on Ao3?
86
2. What's your total Ao3 word count?
140,521 okay honestly surprised but not surprised, I know I write a lot but hundreds of thousands of words.... wow
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Mostly I do star wars (clone wars), but recently I've gotten requests for The Rookie and I've dabbled in marvel and Ninjago. In a moment of weakness I also did one in harry potter and miraculous ladybug. Ooh, and I'm probably gonna start writing more with Keeper of the Lost Cities
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
1. Datapad 2. Can We Keep Her Forever (and Ever Again) 3. Chocolate 4. The Death of Kix 5. Unafraid
5. Do you respond to comments?
You better believe it. On Wattpad, there are a few I haven't replied to because I would literally just put XD on every comment ever, but more often than not I will reply On ao3 I don't think I've ever left a comment alone because they're a lot more scarce and I don't feel dumb spamming their inbox with XD
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Unafraid or Kriffing Expendable
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Ummm this one is harder... Most of my fluffy fics... if we're going for angst with a happy ending I'd say I Fell Down the Stairs
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not yet... I don't think I did get this one comment which was a very colorful rant about how much a potato hated tarkin? I didn't really understand it
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
No to both.
10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?
I have one crossover between star wars and star trek because I really wanted to put star wars characters in a star trek scene. Surprisingly, no one got mad. I also tried a star wars and marvel cross over, but when I told my friend about it and he sent back grimacing emojis, I threw it in the NOPE folder
11. Which fic are you proud of but wish had gotten a bigger response from your readers?
At the time I wrote it, Teamwork didn't get as much love as I thought it deserved. I loved the banter and I was expecting everyone to ask for a second part, but no one did. I wrote it anyway and I'm proud to say someone I know personally is now the biggest fan of it But I also have those little moments in a lot of fics where I write a line and I'm like "eeehehe, so good, gonna get so many comments!" and no one even notices
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I know I had one reader who translates them herself, but not that I know of other than that
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope! I have brainstormed KOTLC fic ideas with a friend and we write hilarious poems about how much we hate a certain character for each other, but no official fic collabs.
14. What's your all-all time favorite ship?
Obitine. I just love them so much--- so sassy and adorable with their accents I just--- ah, there's no way to describe how much I love them. And the fact that Obi-Wan saves 'my dear' for only two people, one of which is Satine, and she also does the 'my dear' thing, ugh. they're just too perfect for each other.
15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
So, I started this super intricate Harry Potter Star Wars crossover, and spend days weaving together the perfect backstory for Ahsoka, obi-wan, and Anakin who were going to be put in the Harry Potter world. But then my friend called it increative and my sensitive soul was like "you know what, it's not worth it" and trashed it after going through the five stages of grief. I was also worried about it getting too messy and completely ruining cannon.
16. What are your writing strengths?
Crushing my readers' hearts and souls with a gut punching last line. If the time's right of course. I'll just be sitting there writing something that's not necessarily sad and then I'll be like "hold on, I could completely destroy everyone's happiness right now if I just write a few words." Do you know how powerful I feel at moments like that?
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Crushing my readers' hearts and souls with a gut punching last line. With great power comes great responsibility. Usually I don't let the intrusive soul shattering last line thoughts win, but a time or two I have (even making a comment in the author's note once) and someone left a comment saying they now wanted to dive off a cliff.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I like doing this by just a word or two (if you're putting in full lines I have to scroll to the bottom to translate I find that a little annoying at times) and I've only ever used the fantasy star wars languages.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Well.... if we're being technical it was for a book called "The Dreamer, the Schemer, and the Robe" before I even knew what fanfiction was, and I just wrote a continuation of a scene I thought needed more to it. I never finished though. If we're not being technical, it's star wars. I wrote a few psychotic half-scenes of it before publishing. my first full one is on Wattpad and ao3 and i've seriously considered burning it
20. Favorite fic you've written?
Aw, Dang it, I Chipped a Nail. Don't ask me why, but this one is my literal all time favorite.
npt @cc-cobalt-1043 @anxiety-banana and anyone else who wants to join :)

What did you think of them bringing Kai back for a little bit in legacies?
Ooof! I have so many mixed emotions about Kai coming back for legacies. On one hand, I was glad to have him back; on the other, I was scared because I don't have the highest opinion of legacies. Of course, though, I watched his couple of episodes and it was more or less as expected.
So first, I liked the build-up, starting with Penelope learning about the merge. I liked the three second shot of Kai on a video camera that MG needed to use. And, I liked Josie finally learning about her "crazy uncle Kai," while Ric was trying hard to hold back this rather significant information from his daughters.
But then all the build-up went nowhere; there was no crazy reveal, nor outburst of emotion, it just smoothed itself out very gently, and certainly, very un-Gemini like. We saw some sassiness out of Josie towards Ric, but not much at all out of Lizzie. Josie actually meeting Kai was probably the opposite of what was expected. She was calm and teamed up with him over her own father, despite fearing the man for what her father told her about Kai and her biological mother (Jo). Kai, of course, was fully entertained by Josie's decision to trust him, and he toyed with her a lot, which was very in-character. He was less violent, however, and rather underwhelming.
Josie, at this point, had already met Jo, and greatly cherished the short bit of time they had together. So why would she team up with Kai, knowing what he did, as told to her by her father? It was just odd to me.
As for the Jade relationship part, that was also strange. I was already weirded out by Jade and Josie having a thing, despite her being Josie's babysitter. Kai didn't seem to have any attachment to Jade whatsoever; he was bored and curious, she was too, and they had nothing else to do in that prison world. I mean, good on him for finally losing his virginity, but it just seemed like filler detail. The whole hunger games concept was kind of cool; the fact that they hunt each other for sport, for fun. Because what else is there to do in an empty world where you can't die? That part was in-character, which I appreciated. And it's nice to know he's had some entertainment in his eternity of hell.
Shifting the topic, though, to the Malivore plotline... I already think the whole Malivore thing is stupid; Kai jumping into the pit and everyone forgetting who he is (but then somehow remembering again) was so terribly annoying, I didn't even want to finish the episodes. I'm glad he got out of the prison world, I just wish that whole plotline didn't exist, and I think he would've been smart enough to find an alternative method. However, I did like him giving Josie the ultimatum to "go dark" or to forget her options on getting out. I feel like Josie was on the path to darkness already - those two twins are both more like Kai than they'll ever know - and he just gave her a little push. Bitter, tired of being in prison worlds, bored Kai would 100% set his niece (whom he tried to kill twice) up in such a tricky situation and then bail, and I love that for him.
Despite me being stale about the Malivore inclusion in Kai's eps, I continued watching.
His bit of showing up to the Salvatore school was funny. I had really missed his instigating and banter with the people around him. The bits about Ric's wedding and the ascendant having a specific tune made me laugh, as did him taking his father's name to put up the act. Also, the careless beheading of the teddy bear. 😂
The following scene, however, when he fought Hope, was upsetting. Hope is strong, but not coven-leader-heretic strong, so her taking him down with little to no effort bugged me. Granted, it's somewhat untrained tribrid vs unsocialized heretic, so they both have advantages and disadvantages, but seeing how big and bad Kai was in season 6, taking her out should've been no problem. Kai with access to magic plus being undead would've made him stronger than he was just as a siphon witch, but they made him almost incapable in Legacies.
Furthermore, he didn't even seem that vengeful, which is wildly uncharacteristic. Post-1994 and post-1903, he raised absolute hell, but post-2018, he just seemed a little bored. If they were going to keep him as a villain and continue to revoke a redemption, they should've made him a real, fear-worthy villain. Not a less-than-intimidating "crazy uncle" with mismatched socks. (I adore his mismatched socks, but they only contributed to making the scary tvd villain into a watered down version that was appropriate for the younger-aged viewers that Legacies had.)
now, spoilers
At the end, when Ric kills him off for good, it was a hard watch. It was bad enough to watch him die the first time, so this time was even worse. I just felt that it was so uncharacteristic for him to get caught and get killed again. I mean, he's spent years fighting to survive in prison world after prison world, there's no way he'd be that easy to take down after the third escape, and especially now as a heretic. Bonnie getting an advantage on him in season 8, yes, because he had a weakness for her. But his nieces + Jade + Ric? No way.
So, in summary, I was glad to see him, but didn't like what they did to his character. Kai was so much more than the again, "crazy uncle" that Legacies made him out to be. Legacies' viewers, including some of the actors, I feel, don't get to see the side of him that was seen in TVD, where he was a neglected and isolated kid that became driven by a need for revenge (and to prove himself). His backstory isn't really brought up at all, and for someone who studies and adores his character like myself, it's upsetting. It seems like they just wanted him back as another enemy to take down in a day and move on, or to close a plothole that TVD had somewhat left open. It didn't feel like there was any purpose to bring him back other than for entertainment, especially for those who didn't like him or didn't know him at all.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, or I'm too attached to him, but I wasn't a fan of it. I liked seeing him, that was it. But TVD itself was much better at crafting its villains and dividing its fans between "the good side" and "the bad side," (i.e. Damon vs Stefan in s1; Katherine vs the Mystic Falls' gang; Klaus, or Silas vs everyone). Legacies, on the other hand, feels like it pushes for [Saltzmans + the student body] vs [a handful of wacky monsters], and Kai got pulled into the mix. I haven't watched any further episodes since Kai's, and I don't plan on continuing the show. It doesn't measure up to TVD or TO at all, in my opinion.
#thank you for the ask!!#sorry this reply is so long#and that i took so long to reply#legacies feels so much like a kids' show tbh or even a very watered down early cw supernatural where they were just fighting monsters#it's kinda like a bad wattpad fanfiction of tvd#i loved seeing my bby kai but i did not like what they did to him#i want him soft & cuddly or absolutely apeshit & vengeful and he was neither#i hope i'm not offending anon or any legacies fans#this is just my opinion#asks#kai parker#legacies

Or at least, it feels like it’s pretend—until each slow burn step in their fake relationship sparks a heat neither can control. Now they just have to decide: is this sizzling chemistry just for show? Or something so real it might just give them their fairytale ending?
Review:
When a bubbly ghostwriter is hired to ghost write a grumpy footballer's memoir the last them either of them expects is to fall for each other. Alfie Harding is a retired footballer who is known for being grumpy, intimidating, and being extremely private. Mabel Willicker is a curvy, cheery, and sweet ghost writer who is tasked with helping Alfie complete his memoir. They are polar opposites and bicker and banter every chance they get. Yet the more time they spend together the more they begin to fall for each other... and it doesn't help that the media thinks that they are dating each other. While faking a relationship to keep the media off their backs as they try and complete Alfie's memoir... the pretend is starting to feel very real and the feelings between the both of them is growing. Yet can a relationship work between two opposites who come from different worlds... or are they exactly perfect for each other? This was the cutest rom com ever, Alfie was giving strong Roy Kent vibes (and I absolutely love Roy so so much) and Mabel was such a sassy and funny protagonist. they were both so perfect for each other and i adored their friendship and growing relationship so much. This book was just so sweet and fun and will have you feeling so happy while reading it! I absolutely would recommend this for any fans of a cute and funny rom com with a couple who has so much chemistry!!!
*Thanks Netgalley and St. Martin's Press, St. Martin's Griffin for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*
