He tried to hold her hand, to give it a squeeze, but all he could manage was a twitch of his fingers. "I... I wish..." Wishes are for humans. He swallowed, tried again. "I... didn't want... this to be how..." He broke off in a convulsive fit of coughs, curling in on himself as pain surged with every wrack of his body. When it ended, he slumped against her, gasping for breath, spent beyond measure. "I'm... sorry..."

Mick (short for Michelangelo) does not have the best luck when it comes to dating. While his two closest friends represent the polar extremes (one has no problem with dating, the other couldn’t be more problematic if you tried), he is stuck in a No Man’s Land of romantic failure.

But then, as if by miracle, he meets the PERFECT woman. She’s kind. She’s smart. She’s interesting. She’s beautiful. She makes the flowers grow wherever she walks...

After his last stint of relationships, Mick’s nervous he might seriously wreck this one, too. I mean, who wouldn’t?

You’d be nervous too if you were dating God Herself...

1. I am a fraternal twin. my sister is two minutes younger than me and has always been physically smaller. we looked more alike when we were young and tricked plenty of school teachers, tho when we both got jobs at our local hospital, we still managed to confuse people. I got asked several times “do you have two jobs here??” bc they saw my twin running around and thought it was me.

2. I’ve been raised vegetarian since birth. in the 70s my parents were hippies and joined the hare krishna movement and raised me and my siblings under their strictures, which includes no eating meat, fish or eggs. I have no idea what a burger or a steak tastes like and tho I’m an adult and could arguably choose for myself what to eat, I’m too lazy to start trying new things.

3. I was born in west virginia but only lived there til I was a year old and consider myself a mainer. my parents are originally from northern maine and speak french and english, which is considered the norm for the area due to the acadian heritage there. I, unfortunately, can only understand a little french and speak none.

Of course I’d have @/angelagiovanagiarratana play Snigglette again cuz she was just amazing in Nightmare Time 🥰

Now we’re on to secondary characters!

- Archdeacon Gustave: After the death of the last Archdeacon, Gustave was next to take his place. He is a kind and gentle man, but he has a lot of anxiety due to the weight of expectations and he’s unsure if he can live up to the legacy of his predecessor. Gustave often visits Quasi and brings him pieces of unique wood for the bellringer’s projects.

- Esmeralda: Now the mother of 2 beautiful children, Zephyr and Kisaiya, she can’t help but worry about their safety with Phoebus as a judge now. Societal pressures aside, she also has been helping the other Romani settle into a new home just outside the city walls since the Court of Miracles proved no longer safe. With Clopin getting older, he’s been leaning on her as a leader.

- Phoebus: Since Frollo’s demise, the captain of the guard has been promoted to “temporary” Judge while the King looks for a replacement. This has taken a long time since Phoebus has been doing an excellent job much to the man’s chagrin. Phoebus has never been one for clerical work and yearns to go back to keeping the streets of Paris safe. The other drawback to his new position is how distant he must be with his family. He misses them dearly.

-Zephyr and Kisaiya: The children of Phoebus and Esmeralda! Zephyr is a caring older brother even if he is annoyed by his little sister’s insistence of following him everywhere. He wants to be a brave warrior just like his father and loves to play with his little wooden sword. Little Kisaiya (or Kizzy as Quasi lovingly calls her) loves to visit her Uncle Quasimodo in the bell tower, always excited for the newest toy he’s made for the siblings. She is very curious and is always eager to follow her brother on some adventure, trusting that he’ll keep her safe and out of trouble.
