a lot of this checking blog stuff i learned to do when it was much more common for cryptoterfs to be prowling around these parts. cryptoterfs won’t say transphobic slurs and they won’t openly advocate for the death of all transfems and forceful detransition of all transmascs, but they have no qualms about following people who do, while they avoid reblogging anything hateful enough that will get them easily clocked as radfems or terfs. hell, maybe they don’t even personally believe those things, maybe they’re trying to “see both sides of things”. maybe they don’t care at all and follow those blogs for entirely unrelated things and that’s why they won’t reblog any of the hate speech.

at the end of the day, whatever their internal motivations may be, they don’t disagree enough with the absolutely horrendous levels of transmisogyny and transphobia to see it as a dealbreaker

I truly do not know what you’re referring to. I know I’ve shared this from them in the past from the jumblr tag, but I scrolled at least 3 days back and got bored so I literally don’t know what you’re talking about. I see a jewish blogger make a decent antisemitism post in the jumblr tag, I reblog it. I don’t do a background check.

Our village in the West Bank, just a couple miles away from Ramallah, is only allocated water by the Israeli occupying forces for three hours once every 15 days, and no more than that. Meanwhile, the two settlements surrounding our village have water, OUR water, 24/7.

But once again, nice try with attempting to somehow frame this as a matter of anti-Semitism. If you’re not already employed by Likud, you should certainly apply.

Not to mention that Israel doesn't maintain "ethno-supremacy" or whatever term is being made up today. :D There are more than 2 million Arab-Israelis living in Israel -- the largest ethnic minority of the tiny nation, composing 21.1% of the population of Israel and growing all the time (as was Gaza's population, by the way). If Israel had meant to be "apartheid", or to conduct "ethnic cleansings" by dint of having a wall up (after lots of rockets and attacks were fired and carried out from, um, the other side of that wall)...you'd think they'd do a better job of it. Hard to say you're being genocided when your population is growing. That's not to say that there isn't actual ethnic cleansing going on! For example, there are many surrounding Arab "ethno-states" with specific actual "ethno-supremacy" policies (largely aimed at Jews, but also at Druze, etc.) that continue blithely unchallenged by so-called human rights champions. I believe one such country has one (1) actual confirmed Jew living in it. One. Down from a much larger number.

Ask the Arab LGBTQ community about how they regularly escaped to Israel so they didn't get persecuted or outright murdered at home. Ask the Arab-Israelis how they feel about Israel. I am not sure how (apparent Hamas supporter "vague-humanoid") was trying to prove intellectual honesty and willingness to challenge his worldview by blocking me when I gave him the evidence he explicitly asked for LOL. But sadly, that seems to be par for the course for people who support rapists and murderers (Hamas). They cannot bear to be challenged. Their grandstanding moral fury, their sweeping (and blatantly historically inaccurate) statements -- all collapse when confronted with the truth, however kindly presented. Their only alternative? Shutting discourse down entirely, plugging their eyes and ears, and going "LA LA LA I'M NOT LISTENING!" I say this not to vaguepost, but to hopefully make someone think: That kind of behavior says something about one's position (and how secure one truly feels in it). How much scrutiny they're willing to subject their views to. Look long and hard in a mirror. Do you denigrate Israel and her people, celebrate the murders of Israeli hostages, etc., just because it's popular right now? Do you support rapists and murderers?

I think the UN (and thus the ICJ) was anti-Jew and corrupt from inception and has continued to be so (Stalin, for example, was a founding member.) I think the majority of its members are still themselves provably antisemitic (specifically anti-Jew). Its employees have been proven to have taken part in October 7th -- and were only fired. Eighty-one (81) percent of the resolutions the UN has ever passed criticizing countries are aimed at Israel. This indicates an unbelievable level of prejudice directed at no other nation, especially considering Israel is a 70-year-old nation famously historically begun (and still inhabited by) by victims of the Holocaust/refugees, AND the only democracy in the Middle East, AND where many other citizens of surrounding nations, Arab and Jew alike, flee to for refuge. To give some additional perspective: Iraq is considering lowering the marriage age (only for women, mind you!) from 15 to 9 years old. Do I hear so much as a peep from the UN? No. The Yazidi genocide? The Hindi getting massacred in Bangladesh? Nary a whisper. Hezbollah/Hamas blew apart Druze children in Israel's Golan Heights, bombing a soccer field. Crickets, except to blame Israel. Russia just bombed a shopping center in Ukraine, killing 12 Ukrainian civilians, then turns around and condemns Israel for precision targeting a "school" that had no children in it and killing only senior terrorists. Anything? Nope, just blood libel on Israel. Israel defends itself while taking unprecedented care to protect the enemy's civilians, measures that cripple its effectiveness, while held to standards that no other country on this earth has ever been before? The UN and ICC charge her with war crimes, utterly overlooking and legitimizing Hamas' actual, screamingly-obvious war crimes.

This entire news site is ridiculous. Giant bammer at the top with something about how all progressives are "totalitarians screaming to get out." Totally reasonable thing to put smack at the top of a reliable news source /s. Times of Israel provides a much clearer look at what has been going on.

Yes, antisemitism is a big problem.

But it doesn't help for us to exaggerate it. That only gives the antisemites more justification to say "Look! The Jews are lying about what we are doing! Antisemitism isn't a problem at all!"

Accuracy in Media intends to continue pressuring UC Berkeley with an email campaign and ongoing protests. And UC Berkeley has made it clear that it will continue protecting antisemites.

Dean Chemerinsky argued that the perpetrators of the “Jewish Free Zones” have “free speech rights, including to express messages that I and others might find offensive.”

He clearly doesn’t believe that those protesting against antisemitism do.

UC Regents Chair Richard Leib issued a statement falsely claiming that “the existence of ‘Jewish Free Zones’ at the campus are both incorrect and designed to inflame the situation” and that student groups have a First Amendment right to “express their views” even “when some of us find those views reprehensible or offensive.”

“That is the basis for free speech and UC will always support that,” he concluded.

UC Berkeley Chancellor Carol Christ admitted that the bans on Jews were “regrettable”, but that “there is no legal basis for sanctioning, defunding or deregistering” the organizations involved in them.

All of that support for free speech for antisemites by UC Berkeley leaders falls apart when Jewish activists and conservative organizations actually protest against the antisemites.

Then UC Berkeley sends in the lawyers and the cops.

Are Christ, Chemerinsky or Leib willing to commit to the same level of free speech protection for Jews protesting against antisemitism as they do for antisemites protesting against Jews?

The difference in their rhetoric and the systemic discrimination of their responses makes it clear that they believe that banning Jews is more legitimate than protesting against those bans.

Their rhetoric and their actions reveal the underlying bias of their political sympathies.

I am not sure how (apparent Hamas supporter "vague-humanoid") was trying to prove intellectual honesty and willingness to challenge his worldview by blocking me when I gave him the evidence he explicitly asked for LOL. But sadly, that seems to be par for the course for people who support rapists and murderers (Hamas). They cannot bear to be challenged. Their grandstanding moral fury, their sweeping (and blatantly historically inaccurate) statements -- all collapse when confronted with the truth, however kindly presented. Their only alternative? Shutting discourse down entirely, plugging their eyes and ears, and going "LA LA LA I'M NOT LISTENING!" I say this not to vaguepost, but to hopefully make someone think: That kind of behavior says something about one's position (and how secure one truly feels in it). How much scrutiny they're willing to subject their views to. Look long and hard in a mirror. Do you denigrate Israel and her people, celebrate the murders of Israeli hostages, etc., just because it's popular right now? Do you support rapists and murderers?
