Yet again I am amazed and delighted at the effects of being on T. It's near freezing out right now and I barely felt it beyond a brisk breeze and was quite comfortable. Whereas pre-T I would've been huddled under five blankets with the heater cranked up refusing to move, like some sort of hibernating reptile.

I was two months premature and stopped breathing an hour after I was born, but thanks to the wonders of modern medicine I was hooked up to a ventilator for two weeks and have no lasting health problems from the original illness. (I may have lost my hearing while on the ventilator, but that’s speculation, given that no one realized I was deaf until I was 2).

*this is just about having medical needs that would have meant death without modern medicine, so no ‘I’d probably die from not being able to distinguish the blur as a lion’ we have a healthy caveman squad who cares for each other, we just also dont have, yknow, penicilin. etcetera.

I have yeeted the teets! Day one post-op has been a bit rough (fuck the drains 💀), but honestly not the worst. I was more dead yesterday after the surgery, and my partner says they've seen me looking worse just on bad days with my chronic illness lol.

Also, gotta say, that post about having a Winnie-the-Pooh bod post-top surgery is so right. None chest with left tummy

been on HRT for almost 2 years now (2 years in november) and its going swimmingly. i don't regret it for a moment.

honestly i'm so glad i'm on gel now and not needles. needles suck SO hard. literally the only complaint i've ever had about HRT lmao. though now i briefly smell like rubbing alcohol in the mornings, which isn't a bad tradeoff i think. though i can't pet my cats in the mornings before work :(

I'm sure your cats know how much you love them even if you can't say bye to them before work (not that this changes anything, but I'm so confident they know they're loved <3)!
