Never Ask A Woman Her Age
In which everyone's favorite tiefling wizard is awkward around the woman who convinced him to stay in the grove. SFW.
Rolan found the dwarven wizard who convinced him, Cal, and Lia to stay in the grove incredibly frustrating.
The most frustrating.
How dare she walk around like that, telling people how to live their lives and be that beautiful?
NO.
How dare she be so stubbornly self-righteous and stunningly gorgeous?
NO. NO. NO.
Beside him, Lia sniggered. “Uh oh, I think Rolan might like our new friend.”
“Aw, the grump has a crush? That’s so adorable.”
NO.
He crossed his arms over his chest and totally did not pout. “Crush? What are we, twelve?” Thirty summers. I’m thirty summers and acting like a schoolboy.
“Well, I’m certainly not!”
As he glanced down at her, Rolan’s cheeks burned. Don’t say something stupid. Don’t act like a fool. Act like the brilliant wizard you are, not the lonely man from Elturel.
The dwarf smiled at the trio, her companions not far behind her. The half-elf is speaking to Dammon while the pale elf and Gale of Waterdeep are…flirting? Arguing? Both? “Sorry, didn’t mean to startle you or interrupt.”
Lia grinned. “No, you’re good.”
LIA.
“I don’t believe I introduced myself earlier. I’m Louisa.” She held out her hand for Cal to shake, but then each of their heads turned towards Astarion, who had begun to laugh.
“Daaaaaaaaaaarling, you need to tell them who you really are.” He said with a wink, causing the pretty lady to frown.
Heaving a heavy sigh, Louisa shrugged. “He’s right. I’m Lady Lousia Wildheart of Baldur’s Gate.”
Smiling, Cal shook her hand. “Nice to meet you, my lady.” The dwarf returned his smile and then shook Lia’s hand.
Rolan, however, stood frozen.
She’s a noble.
She’s a wizard.
Her mother, if I remember correctly, is the head of Wildheart Ironworks and her clan.
I—
Lia elbowed him and growled, “Rolan!” before gesturing to her. “Say ‘nice to meet you.’”
Unfortunately for him, his mouth opened without any thought.
Because I have no thoughts.
Only her.
Only those emerald eyes.
“Heh, if you’re not twelve, then how old are you?”
Cal and Lia’s mouths hung open.
“ROLAN, YOU DON’T ASK A WOMAN HOW OLD SHE IS! WHAT THE HELLS IS THE MATTER WITH YOU?!” Lia shrieked, smacking Rolan in the chest as Cal was doubled over in laughter.
I’m such an idiot.
How…how did I fuck this up?
Why did I say that?!?!?
To his relief (not sure if it’s relief or embarrassment, frankly), Louisa was also laughing. Hysterically. I made her laugh. That’s a good start…after the bad start. “Oh my fucking gods, you’re too much!” Hands on her hips, she looked up at Rolan and giggled. Fucking hells, she’s adorable. “I’ll be one hundred and one in a few months, in case you’re wondering.”
That only made Cal laugh harder and then Lia joined her brother.
Fuck.
Shit.
Piss.
Zurgan.
FUCK.
“I always knew Rolan was into older women.” Cal teased.
CAL.
Her gaze still on Rolan, the dwarf giggled, wiping her eyes from ALL THE LAUGHING!!!! “Gods, you three are too much. I should get going, but I’ll see you later?” Me? “Rolan?” Me!!!!
“I, um, yes. Of course, my lady.” He mumbled as he wrung his hands. “Later.”
With the cutest fucking wave I’ve ever seen FUCK, Louisa turned and walked towards her group. After a few moments, they were gone. Presumably to save some puppies.
“Ooooooh, Rolan’s got a date later!”
“Remember Rolan, don’t act like a wizard with a stick up your ass. TOO LATE!”
“Cal, can you believe our little Rolan is all grown up and having a date?”
“Aw, they grow up so fast.”
Rolan’s fists were balled at his sides as he absolutely did not pout. Again. “She’s a wizard! She probably has books for me! STOP LAUGHING!!!!”
They did not, in fact, stop laughing.
And did not for some time.
***
Later, Rolan discovered, involved meeting Lousia in a small cove at the edge of the grove. In her camp clothes (a gray dress that shows off her considerable…assets), the dwarf was sitting on a rock and swung her bare feet in the water, looking up when she heard him approach.
“Rolan! Hello, please join me!” She waved, smiling warmly at the tiefling.
Join you.
Yes.
I can do that.
I can join you.
I can…not act like a fool…
He nodded and sat next to her. On a rock. My poor behind. “I, um, I want to apologize for earlier—” Rolan began but was interrupted by her shaking her head.
“No, it’s alright! Honestly, it was just really funny.” She’s still smiling. She’s so pretty. “It’s also something I needed after the last few days, so thanks.” The smile that apparently makes my heart skip a beat soon disappeared as her gaze returned to the water. “Can I count on your discretion, Rolan?”
“Of course.”
She sighed. “My companions and I were kidnapped by mindflayers, and we were…well, infected.” Louisa quickly turned to face him, taking his hands in hers. Those green eyes are pleading with me. What, dear lady? “But none of us are exhibiting symptoms. We hoped to speak with Master Halsin, but apparently those adventurers left him behind when they ran. Shitheads.” Her shoulders then sagged. “Sorry. It’s all been very frustrating.”
Rolan raised an eyebrow. “I would be shocked if it weren’t, my lady.” He quipped. Yes! Yes! She’s smiling. “And it, erm, goes without saying that if there’s anything I can do, then please tell me.”
Louisa briefly laid a hand on one of Rolan’s, giving him a few pats before folding her hands in her lap. A quiet “thank you” emerged from her as her gaze turned towards the night sky. “You know, I’m reminded by something lovely my dear friend Urianger once said about the stars in the sky. Would you like to hear my butchered version of it?” She giggled, bright green eyes full of life and love and an appreciation for the simple things…OF COURSE I WANT TO HEAR YOU SPEAK. On any topic anywhere, my lady. He nodded, not trusting myself not to sound like a lovesick fool. “A sea of shimmering stars. Diamonds strewn across a raven gown, boundless and beautiful. Tis an exquisite sight. Calm and gentle…and forgiving…” She shook her, grinning. “He’s more of wordsmith than I am, clearly.”
Rolan stared down at the dwarven woman and felt his heart beating in his chest. What he wanted to do was to grab her beautiful face and kiss her soundly, whispering reassurances to her. I’ll listen to you speak on any subject. “Please, both the words and recitation were marvelous. I quite enjoyed it, my lady.”
Her freckled cheeks blushed pink. A delicious shade of pink that I’d love to kiss… “Thank you!” She then happily…delightedly…spoke of her travels and adventures. She wants to write a book or edit her journals to publish in multiple volumes, but she believes no one would be interested?!?!?! No one would care?!?!? No one would read it?!?!?!
I WOULD.
As he was about to respond to her saying several of tutors described her writing as “completely unserious,” she tilted her head to the side, wincing.
No no no no don’t transform. Please. Stay with me…
The longest three seconds of my damn life passed, and then she smiled. “Sorry, that was Karlach via tadpole. Dinner’s ready, but…the next time we’re by this way again…would you like to hear some more stories? Or…” fucking hells the little nose wrinkle again. She’s going to kill me. “Whatever you want.”
Not for the first time this evening, his heart began to race.
Gods, don’t say “whatever you want.”
Because what I want…
I want…
“Rolan? There’s no pressure or anything, okay? I just like talking to you, and you seem really nice and—”
He stood quickly, startling her. Holding out a hand, Rolan murmured, “Yes, my lady.”
With a soft chuckle, she stood and took his hand. “To what?”
Shit.
She’s teasing me.
Well, I…I…
“Ahem, to spending more time with you, my lady.”
Rolan swore that when their gazes met, his heart fluttered at her perfect smile. Sweet but teasing.
The promise of things to come, I hope.

Here it is; everything I've ever made for DnD 5e
106 new subclasses from Artificer to Wizard.
10 New classes: Battle Chef, Dragon Knight, Elementalist, Gunslinger, Hollowed, Mythic Guardian, Occultist, Tamer, Wildheart, and Witch. Each with 3+ subclasses.
70+ new spells.
Variant class features, equipment, and feats.
[G Drive Link]
I'm still technically cleaning up some of the classes, though they are still playable. If you see the classic background that's the giveaway.

combining my bg3 nerdism with my punchout obsession
all of them would be monks in some way bc. panching. but theyd be multiclassed and use it during their fight, with the exceptions of glass joe and sandman as i think it makes more sense for them to just be monks as first and last bosses
i made this a while ago and dont remember most of my reasoning for the subclasses. just go with it. OH and i wanted only one for each multiclass, so no repeats.
if i fucked up dnd lore look AWAY im a bg3 and d20 boy im not hardcore
this is super lazy
glass joe- monk (way of mercy)
like i said, hes just a monk with no multiclass since hes the starting/warmup boss. he hasnt got enough exp yet
von kaiser- monk (way of the sun soul) & fighter (battle master)
i mean, with his soldier-y theme, both in appearance and voice, i feel him being a fighter is just the obvious choice. plus it feels like an easy jump from solo monk to fighter-monk
disco kid- monk (way of the shadow) & bard (college of valour)
hes groovin, and his dance theme is more prominent than flamenco's so it feels more appropriate to give it to disco. plus his headphones. enough about bards who play music give me interpretive dance bards
king hippo- monk (way of the ascendant dragon) & wizard (transmutation)
okay king hippo was the last one i chose a multiclass for and wizard was the last free class. ig he could be artificier but wizard felt more regal, like royal wizard. not too much reasoning for this one tho sorry lol
piston hondo- monk (way of the long death) & paladin (devotion)
another one i feel is relatively obvious. hes dedicated to what he does and seems to do nothing but train according to cutscenes. idk what to say hes just. paladin
bear hugger- monk (way of the sun soul) & druid (circle of the land)
i mean dudes best friend is a bear and he brings a squirrel into the ring. hes already a bear in two senses of the word, why not add a third and make it more literal? sure hed love to chill with mrs bear
great tiger- monk (way of the four elements) & sorcerer (wild magic)
i remember my subclass reasoning and it was just. three clones and him in his cutscene equals four. and they seem to have different "elements" associated with each. that said sorcerer feels like The Most obvious choice of the lot. he uses his magic naturally and deftly, but his knockout cutscene betrays a sort of lack of control he may have, so i went with wild magic. i could just as easily see draconic though and give him some cool tiger-like face scales.
don flamenco- monk (way of the open hand) & ranger (beast master)
hes a toreador and punts a bull into space, a class with an advantage over animals is the easy choice. plus based on vibes alone, rangers feel patient and wait for prey like he does in his fight
aran ryan- monk (way of the kensei) & rogue (arcane trickster)
honestly all the rogue subclasseses work with aran but i went with tricksger bc i felt more general. i dont think hed actually kill someone and theif was too specific for the general mayhem he causes. plus hed absolutely use illegal magicks in the ring.
soda popinski- monk (way of the drunken master) & cleric (war domain)
obvious subclass is obvious. cleric bc he heals himself in battle by drinking soda. war domain bc none of the others rlly fitt
bald bull- monk (way of the long death) & barbarian (wildheart)
okay a *lot* of the boxers could be barbarians but i feel like bull is the one with the most obvious "rage" mechanic, being his charge. wildheart bc bull theme
super macho man- monk (way of the astral self) & warlock (the archfiend)
i think smm was another one i did last but him selling his soul to be a rich and famous pro boxer feels fitting. i dont remember my reasoning for his astral subclass but i remember i really liked it so take my word
mr sandman- monk (way of the open hand)
again as i said before, i wanted him to be a "back to basics" sort of fighter. taking what mac should know most intimately and putting him through a ringer of all the typical "monk" things. open hand also feels like the most "basic" but powerful monk Thing so.
also. mac would be a monk but his multiclass would be up to the player, if they multiclassed him at all, and doc would be a way of mercy monk and a knowledge domain cleric, bc hes macs mentor, was a champion so he knows a lot. and heals mac if needed. (also a folk hero. dodnt do backgrounds for other characters but thar u go)

BG3 Gale Origin Build Recommendations
I recently finished my second playthrough of BG3. My first character was a Good Tav (Half-Orc 8 Oath of the Ancients Paladin/4 Wildheart Barbarian [Wolf Heart] with the Noble Background) and the second was a Resist Durge (Wood Half-Elf 12 Wild Magic Barbarian later rekitted to 12 Beast Master Ranger). I romanced Karlach with my Tav and Lae’zel with my Durge. For my next run, before I do another Tav or Durge, I am planning to do my first of two origin runs: Gale.
After two Balanced runs, I am planning to do my first Tactician run with him. Any recommendations for builds for an Origin Gale. Obviously, I know a pure Wizard would be a solid pick (thoughts I have for that route are either Divination or Abjuration), but any recommendations for multiclass builds? Additionally, while I plan on romancing Astarion with him, do you guys have any recommendations for alternate options?

Bullying the Wizard
Karlach tells Gale he's being an idiot.
Direct sequel to this.
--
“It’s amazing how much of a perfect arsehole you’re being about all of this,” said Karlach.
She’d dropped beside him and draped an arm over his shoulders. In any other context this might have felt like a threat, but since stabilizing her engine, their wildheart friend had been touching anything and anyone who gave her half a chance. Usually with a giddy and contagious giggle. Even Astarion had deigned to allow her to vigorously shake his hand — after ducking an enthusiastic and ill thought out hug first.
“Elaboration would be most welcome,” he said, eyeing the arm about his shoulders. “Considering I haven’t the slightest idea what you’re referring to.”
The tiefling leaned into him, nearly sending him off the log and into the dirt. He had to drop his book and hold on to avoid it. “Karlach!”
She grinned at his aggrieved tone, but did indeed lay off on the leaning. Her grin quickly morphed into a more serious expression — but being who she was there was still a hint of cheer in her face. He had no idea how she did it. He’d never taken his impending doom with as much aplomb.
“You’re looking at me the way the proprietor of the Yawning Portal looks at a set of green adventurers who want to see the pit. Should I be worried?”
“Maybe. Don’t know yet.” Karlach removed her arm so she could cross them. “You were left in camp this morning. Bit unusual, that.”
Blood was rushing in his ears. “Well, who am I to question the decisions of the leader of our merry band of miscreants? It seems she found Astarion more needful.”
“Uh-huh,” said Karlach. “Listen, everyone’s noticed the two of you are on the outs. You ought to try actually, you know, talking? Like adults?”
“I assure you there’s quite nothing to talk about,” he said, busying himself with retrieving his book and dusting it off. “Tensions are bound to run high given our current locale. And considering the manner of enemy we’ve found ourselves facing off with, I can understand why one might prefer someone better at sneaking about to a purveyor of the arcane seeing as – personal connections aside – I have very little to do with the divine.”
“The cracking of your joints is a bit of a give away.”
“Jest if you must, but I distinctly remember your heart serving as a glowing orange target when we tried to free that woman from the hag’s lair.”
“Oh, ouch!” She clapped a hand to her chest dramatically. “Someone is feeling prickly tonight.”
“I give as good as I get,” he said. “Now if you’ll excuse me –”
“Oh no you don’t, soldier –” and there was her tail blocking him in. “I’m not done.”
Annoyance was beginning to temper his mortification. He settled back on the log with a put upon sigh. “Truly, I don’t see how it’s your business, Karlach.”
“The two of you are some of the best friends I’ve got,” she said, leaning in. “And neither one of you knows the bell end of a bugbear when it comes to talking about things. Temperance’s lips oughta have buttons sewn on. And you’re so set on burying yourself while you’re still breathing you’ve stopped seeing anything other than a bloody tombstone!”
Gale stared at her.
“I’m not just gonna sit by and watch the two of you avoid each other until we’re all six feet down, yeah? Seeing as you’re so set on taking all of us with you for the sake of –” and here Karlach visibly restrained herself from saying… something. He had the sense it was unflattering. “-- For the sake of a goddess who doesn’t give a rat’s left hand for you.”
“What Mystra asks of me is not something she does lightly –”
“How d’you know?” Karlach interrupted. “I didn’t see any gods traipsing about camp, just that grandpa who ate all the cheese wheels we’ve found since we crash landed. Second hand knowledge, mate.”
“Elminster would hardly lie to spare my feelings on the matter,” Gale bit out. “And Mystra is not some – some tyrannical wicked goddess. She is the mother of all magic! All that is beautiful in the fabric of the world! If she says the only solution to this Absolute lay in my sacrifice – well who am I to question? Something that has historically gone very poorly indeed, I might add.”
“Okay, fine, set that aside or whatever. If you’re living on borrowed time why are you wasting all of it?”
“I hardly think there’s so much time as all that left to me, Karlach –”
“Left to us,” she pointed out.
A little chill slid down his spine. How easily she took their impending demise at his hand. It had to be worth it. If it eliminated the Absolute… it had to be.
“Given the half chance, I would endeavor to do all I could to see as many people as possible are clear of the blast before I… go to meet my goddess. She would not… she would not ask for so much death without cause.”
Karlach frowned at him. “Sounds like she’s as much of a bitch as Zariel. She never asked for things lightly either. ‘Cept for when she did.”
Gale swallowed, but did not rise to the bait. His own death was easily accepted, terrifying a concept as it might be. It was all he deserved. But the thought of so many others… of his… his friends… that clawed at him as surely as the orb had. At least Elminster was well clear of them by now. And Tara and his mother were safely in Waterdeep. Though that was a hollow comfort. So too the knowledge that nearly everyone in camp was living on borrowed time anyway.
There was a burning pain under his ribs. Radiating up into his neck and spiraling around his skull. He set his hand over the place where his folly slept, grimacing. Stable, yes. But the pain lingered, and bit at him.
You deserve no less, Gale. Grin and bear it.
“What are you asking of me Karlach?”
The tiefling huffed, but when he looked at her he saw concern creasing her brows. “Tell her how you feel. Obviously!”
“And what would that accomplish?” he said. Perfectly rational. “I would not put the onus of my feelings on her for the sake of my comfort.”
“Gods, you’re thick! ‘Onus’ what does that even mean – no, don't answer.” She blew out a rough, frustrated sigh. “Tell her. Seriously! You have to know she feels the same way, right?”
“Not after all I’ve done to put her off. Even the deepest well of patience will eventually run dry and I can only imagine I have reached its not insignificant depths. It’s too late –”
“Bollocks,” Karlach insisted. “If I had someone I sure as the hells wouldn’t be waiting to kick it before I kissed them. But then I’ve been real short on kisses since I was dragged into Avernus by the one horn. C’mon, where’s the cocky mage who told me to my face he could be smooth enough for two?”
“Several weeks and morbid missives behind us,” he said sharply.
“Ugh,” she groaned. “Look – just – say something, Gale! Don’t let all this end with the two of you avoiding each other. If I can’t be happy, at least my friends should be, damn it!”
Her voice cracked there at the end. A dagger to his heart. Karlach might have been the best of all of them. And hearing even that little crack in her cheer…
“I shall try,” he said softly. Hand going once more to his chest, clutching at the fabric there. The razor edge of pain had dulled to a red throb. Easier to ignore. “It’s – the very least of what I owe to my friends. To you.”
Karlach smiled at him. “Damn right it is. Now. What’s for dinner? I’m starved.”
Gale couldn’t help laughing at the abrupt change in subject. “I’m afraid the vittles leave much to be desired in a place as blighted as this – however, my skills are more than up to the challenge. Tell me! What do you crave?”
“Well…”
Karlach followed him as he got started on the nightly meal – and only tried to help a little before raising both hands in surrender to his unquestionable prowess. A hard little knot in his throat refused to loosen itself – but the warmth of the fire and his second favorite tiefling soothed.
The question now though – how to approach Temperance?

Note
if the zorlok cast were bg3 characters, what would they be and what kind of decisions would they make?
I'm assuming you mean who they would be in BG3 and not what kind of characters they would play. Also, hmm, don't want to give away spoilers here, so if you look below the cut you can see what I think they'd be up to (just beware of spoilers).
Tommy: Human, Level 9 Warlock (Fiend + Chain) / Level 3 Bard (Valour)
Dev: Wood Elf, Level 11 Rogue (Thief) / Level 1 Warlock (Archfey)
EJ: Human, Level 12 Sorcerer (Wild Magic)
Adam/Eve: High Elf, Level 7 Cleric (War) / Level 5 Paladin (Vengeance)
Lucía: Half-Elf (Wood), Level 7 Ranger (Gloomstalker) / Level 5 Rogue (Assassin)
Ciel: Lightfoot Halfling, Level 6 Barbarian (Wildheart) / Level 6 Druid (Moon)
Danny: Drow (Seldarine), Level 9 Paladin (Oathbreaker) / Level 3 Warlock (Fiend + Blade)
The Celestial: Aasimar Forest Gnome, Level 10 Wizard (Transmutation) / Level 2 Cleric (Knowledge)
Rose: Human, Level 12 Bard (Lore)
[Beware of Spoilers Below!]
Tommy
Not romancing anyone (obviously, he's 15)
Best friends with Wyll, Karlach, and Gale. Shadowheart is too cool for him, he's way too intimidated by her. Lets Astarion do whatever the hell he wants. Lae'zel scares the shit out of him. Adopted by Halsin the moment he meets him.
Just wants to hang out with the cool tiefling kids
Very easily persuaded by Raphael. Wyll and Karlach are constantly trying to talk some sense into him.
Aylin is the coolest person he's ever met
Sobbing his way through the horrors of Faerûn—I can see him in a little crumple at Withers feet, blowing his nose on Withers' decaying robes as bone daddy breaks the fourth wall and stares into the camera miserably
Eventually hardens into a truly terrifying force to be reckoned with (Karlach is very proud)
Tommy has two hands, one for Scratch and one for the owlbear
Dev
Romancing non-Ascended Astarion and fucking Halsin occasionally, Lae'zel and Shadowheart are xyr besties (xe forces them to get along), Gale amuses the hell out of xem, Wyll and Dev are constantly trying to one up each other's stories
It's either Ethel or Volo, whoever xe comes across first, but that eye's out of xyr head comically fast
Just wants to talk shit with Withers all day, hates that he never has much to say to xem
Wants to kick the shit out of Rolan but keeps saving his life somehow
Always covered in blood. Like it doesn't make sense half the time. How did that much blood splatter on xem? Why is it still on xem?
EJ
Absolutely head over heels in love with Gale, friends with and trying to fix everyone, Astarion terrifies them but they won't give up on him, they know there's a good person hiding beneath that veneer
Panicked and accidentally yeeted a gnome
Tried a tadpole once, wasn't for them
Holding Gale's hand and squinting through every dark space
Sleeps cuddling the owlbear and is always covered in feathers
Adam/Eve
In a relationship with Lae'zel, didn't get along at first but Laez grew to respect A/E and A/E was charmed by Lae'zel's... strengths. Shadowheart is their sister, hates it when the girls are fighting. Friends with Gale and Karlach. Doesn't trust Wyll fully. Never let Astarion join them. Immediately enamored with Halsin but Lae'zel is... stronger.
Normally out of spell slots cause they're terrified of long resting
Loves potions and alchemy, will stop every 30 meters to pick yet another sprig of balsam
Doesn't make deals with villainous beings. Doesn't trust any voices in their head. Doesn't respect any gods they come across.
Loviatar loves them
Lucía
In a relationship with Karlach, best friends with her and Wyll, had a crush on Shadowheart before meeting Karlach, never liked/trusted Astarion and staked him the minute he tried to put his fangs on her throat, Jaheira is her idol, probably left Lae'zel to die (cause she didn't want to upset Shadowheart)
Speaks to every single animal, picks every single lock, looks in every single barrel, fails almost every charisma check
Scratch is always by her side
Will go to Hell for her besties 😉🥲
Ciel
Dating Shadowheart, really close with Astarion and Minthara... But, seriously, they have a big redemption arc. They grow and change alongside Shadowheart, both goth edgelords are completely changed by the end
Starts the game eating every tadpole (like the Guardian barely has to suggest the idea, it's already in their mouth) but goes one step too far and suddenly becomes terrified of what it means to be monstrous(/illithid)
Diplomacy? Ha. Sorry, that's not for them. They only like talking to animals and corpses.
Loves permanently seeing invisibility...
A loot goblin, their high strength score is great for fighting and jumping and shit, but mostly for the increased carrying capacity
Mol is their idol
Danny
I'm honestly not sure who they'd be in a relationship with, I think they'd be close with everyone but I don't think they'd be in a headspace for anything more than friendship over the course of the game, maybe after the fact they'd grow closer with Shadowheart but that would just be my headcanon, they wouldn't romance anyone (no matter how much Withers mocks them for it)
They are doing everything they think is right in the moment, though they'd regret rash actions later
They empathize greatly with the undead and hate people like Balthazar who twist them to their will
No one threatens a child in their presence. Well, no one who's still alive.
They cannot pretend to be under the Absolute's thumb, they are going in swinging every time, no chance for diplomacy or manipulation
They pick up a teddy bear early on and it never leaves their inventory
The Celestial
In a physical relationship with Halsin, slept with Astarion but now they're just very good friends, sees Karlach, Wyll, and Shadowheart as eir children, loves and is very intrigued by Lae'zel, doesn't like Gale at all (cannot and will not trust a wizard like him)
Always has the Disguise Self spell going, and it's always a different disguise
Eir traveler's chest is filled with the weirdest collection of random shit you've ever seen: noble portraits, rotten eggs, gold chalices, a couple goblin corpses, poutine, 30 mindflayer tadpoles, etc.
Chats with every corpse, even the ones ey killed
Lorroakan can (and does) eat shit
Despises everything about Orin, zero redeemable qualities—even her shapeshifting, eugh, it's so... crude, no grace or skill
The moment the Celestial learns Otto's Irresistible Dance is the last moment Faerûn knows peace
Rose
In a passionate romance with Wyll but he's very good friends with everyone (they are all his children)
Does everything within his power to avoid violence. Will charm, sing, and sneak his way across Faerûn
Adopts every child and animal he comes across
The hardest thing he has to do is tell people to stay in camp. Why can't everyone always be in his party? They all make him feel so bad...
Always taking long rests (doesn't want people being tired or hurt) and spends an hour cooking a delightful meal with Gale every night

Kind of considering doing another BG3 run which would put me at eighteen total end me where I just. Respec everyone. Because Gale would be such a good Storm Sorcerer, and I was reading up on Wildheart Barbarians and thought that could fit Halsin pretty well, and, well. Now I have a whole list.
Would love to see other people's suggestions, people who have done the Everyone Gets Respecced thing, etc!
Astarion Original class: Rogue (Thief) New class: Warlock (Archfey) Explanation: Already bound to one master, Astarion making a deal to gain enough power to fight back against Cazador makes sense to me. Fey, in this case, fits Astarion's elvish background, and Misty Escape and Beguiling Defences would be very welcome.
Gale Original class: Wizard (Evocation School) - keeping 1 level New class: Sorcerer (Storm Sorcery) Explanation: Gale was summoning animals as a toddler. Man is a sorcerer, flat out. Much of his art uses lightning imagery, and then there's the appropriate name…
Karlach Original class: Barbarian (Berserker) New class: Fighter (Champion) Explanation: The in-game explanation does it best, honestly! "You approach the complex problems posed by combat with one distinctly effective solution - you hit those problems, really quite hard."
Wyll Original class: Warlock (The Fiend) - keeping 1 level New class: Paladin (Oath of Devotion) or Bard (College of Swords) Explanation: For paladin, the archetypal knight in shining armour. For bard, he loves dancing, tales of chivalry and drama, and has the charisma to pull it off. I sincerely believe either of these are what Wyll would have become anyway if he hadn't crossed paths with Mizora.
Shadowheart Original class: Cleric (Trickery Domain) - keeping 1 level New class: Druid (Circle of the Land) Explanation: Shadowheart is defined as being 'the healer'. Druids have a good swathe of healing spells (albeit not quite as many as a cleric, especially a Life cleric).
Lae'zel Original class: Fighter (Battle Master) New class: Monk (Way of the Open Hand) Explanation: Aside from monks being fairly common to githyanki, Lae'zel would appreciate the ability to fight even without weapons.
Halsin Original class: Druid (Circle of the Moon) - keeping 1 level New class: Barbarian (Wildheart) Explanation: Wildheart Barbarians take their power and influence from animals. Each has a Bestial Heart and two Animal Aspects; Halsin would have a Bear Heart and aspect, and some different aspect.
Jaheira Original class: Druid (Circle of the Land) New class: Ranger (Hunter) Explanation: Rangers still have a strong connection to the land, and hunters fit Jaheira's position as a quiet protector.
Minsc Original class: Ranger (Beast Master) New class: Druid (Circle of the Moon) Explanation: BECOME the Miniature Giant Space Hamster!

How many bg3 playthroughs have you done and what has been your character race/class each time?
lmao this is about to be so cringe but.
including early access?
3 playthroughs. only three. and, i suppose, 4, if you count early access vs. full game rosalie. and my current durge playthrough is incomplete bc Horizon Forbidden West is now out and its so much more fun to me than Act 3.
(please understand i am bad at videogames)
Playthrough 1: early access Rosalie. Mephistopheles tiefling, evocation wizard.
Playthrough 2: Skylark. Half-drow barbarian, Wildheart.
Playthrough 3: full access Rosalie. Mephistopheles tiefling, divination wizard my beloved.
Playthrough 4: Delilah. Human bard, college of lore, also part-time durge.
When the level cap was on I couldn't get wizard Rosalie through the Underdark so I made an angry rage girlie instead to unlock those parts of the map!

Dear Lady Amelie
A follow-up to Dear Master Rolan, inspired by @faerunsbest. SFW.
Dear Lady Amelie,
Thank you for your letter. I must admit that my own reading on wild magic is rather limited, something I intend to rectify with your inquiry. On my honor as Master of Ramazith’s Tower, my lady, I will assist you in way I can. No one should suffer as a result of magic one cannot control.
That being said, I can suggest “Wild Magic: An Introduction and Analysis” by Goodwood and Vane. I remember reading it some years ago and possessing a good foundation for wild magic.
If you would be amenable, then I invite you to Ramazith’s Tower at your earliest convenience to discuss this matter further.
Sincerely,
Rolan
Master of Ramazith’s Tower
***
Amelie smiled to herself as she and Rolan entered his study, remembering his first letter to her.
It’s a shame I had to wait several months to accept your invitation. But I’m here now.
“How was your journey, my lady?” Rolan asked, pulling out a chair for her. “I hope it wasn’t too taxing?”
“Amelie, please. I would hope that we are friends of a sort, and being such, you could call me by my name, Rolan.” She wrinkled her nose and grinned. “Unless you wish for me to call you ‘Master Rolan’ or ‘saer’ in kind.” With a nod, she sat in the chair he offered opposite his own looks pretty comfortable chair at his desk.
Something mischievous flashed in his eyes before it disappeared. “If that is your wish, then it is so.” He smiled kindly but he also seems very nervous. Is he…? Could he…? He blinked and then grimaced. “By the gods! Please forgive me, would you like something to drink? Eat? I can have—"
She shook her head. “No thank you. I’m fine.” Amelie hoped her smile would hide her nerves. Just tell him. He would never…not like... “I, erm, I was hoping to continue what I began downstairs, if you don’t mind, of course.”
He held up a hand. “Please, allow me to speak first lest I lose my nerve.”
Is he…?
Clearing his throat rather dramatically and adorably, Rolan rested his chin on his steepled hands. “My la…Amelie, when I received your first letter, I could not have predicted that such a warm friendship would emerge. You are kind, thoughtful, intelligent, charming,” he closed his eyes briefly and took a breath. “And quite possibly the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. Well, most beautiful person, if I’m being honest. I’m…ahem, quite taken…” Rolan snapped his mouth shut and took another breath. Gods, he really is nervous. Poor dear. “I had a nice speech planned, you see. One that I practiced for hours on end. I-I am…that is to say, I am not…it isn’t easy for me to speak on matters of the…” he swallowed, his yellow eyes pleading. “Heart. I am in love with you. Completely. Utterly. I-I know that we haven’t—”
He never finished his sentence.
Because while he was speaking, Amelie stood (nearly tripped over my own bloody feet) and rounded his desk, grabbed his face, and kissed him.
Shut up, Rolan.
Their lips parted, moans escaping as his hands found her soft hips. He broke the kiss first, panting and breathless. “My…my lady…”
Cupping his cheeks, she giggled, delighting in his cute freckles and smile and everything. “I love you too, you wonderful man. Now, shut up and kiss me, Rolan.”
He stood quickly, hands still on her hips, and smirked. “With pleasure, dearest.”
***
When Rolan woke the following morning, he found himself alone. Despite knowing Amelie had a previous engagement and needed to leave early, he still wished her warm body was in bed with him.
“Hmm, what’s this?” he muttered, noticing a note left on the pillow next to him. He smiled fondly as he read its contents.
My darling Rolan,
I’ll be back in the early afternoon. Until then, think of me. I will certainly be thinking of you.
All my love,
Amelie
“Until then, dearest and sweetest lady…” Rolan whispered, placing the note on his bedside table. He rolled onto his back and thought of the previous night’s activities.
At least for a minute.
“ROLAN!!!!!!!!!!! HOW DID IT GO? WHY ISN’T SHE STILL HERE?”
“I TOLD YOU HE SCARED HER AWAY WITH HIS SCOWL!”
“ROLAN, OPEN THE DOOR AND TELL US! WE ARE DYING HERE!”
Releasing a frustrated growl, he strode to the bedroom door. “Bloody children…later. She will return later…HUSH, DAMN YOU! I DO NOT SCOWL!”
Oh love, you do and it’s adorable.

(Polls) Baldur's Gate 3: Which Race/Class/Background Do You Prefer For Tav?
Unlike Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 where 7 races are available, 11 races are available along with which type you want to be.
Half-elf
Elf
Dwarf
Half-Orc
Halfling
Drow
Githyanki
Tiefling
Gnome
Human
Dragonborn
Which Race do you prefer for Tav to be and Why? Is it because it's your favorite in DnD? Is it because it's the most popular? Because it's underrated? Because it is seen as good/evil in-verse and you wanted to break the stereotype by playing as the opposite alignment? Because of the unique dialogue options?
(In all of these polls you can vote for more then one options)
As for classes, I think you have you have 12 choices along with which type you want.
Paladin
Cleric
Wizard
Druid
Bard
Ranger
Fighter
Barbarian
Rogue
Sorcerer
Monk
Warlock
Which Class do you prefer Tav and Why? Is it because it's your favorite in DnD? Is it because it's the most popular? Because it's underrated? Is it because it seems fitting? Because it's the most useful? Because of the unique dialogue options?
What's new is that you get to choose a Background you want for your character. Backgrounds not only provide you with skill bonuses now, they also grant you Quests that you can complete throughout the game. These Quests gives you Inspiration Points as well as Experience Points, and adds context to your character's background in the world of Baldur's Gate 3.
Acolyte
Charlatan
Criminal
Entertainer
Folk Hero
Guild Artisan
Noble
Outlander
Sage
Soldier
Urchin
Haunted One (Dark Urge Only)
I added Haunted One even though it's a Dark Urge Only Background because not only is it's unique. Because The Dark Urge is an Avatar only origin like the customizable origin character (Tav). Plus, have you heard of Blood in Baldur's Gate? It's a community-driven free-to-play narrative browser game, a prequel of sorts to Baldur's Gate 3. It's set of 1477 DR, 15 years before the start of Baldur's Gate 3.
Spoiler Warning****
The Dark Urge is the culprit of the murders, and killed the detective at the end. The Detective is called Tav.
I'd like to think when the Dark Urge had amnesia they end up going by the name of one of their past victims (Tav, I think calling them Dark Urge seems like a mouthful. It's my headcanon).
******
Which Background do you prefer for Tav and Why? Because you find it more interesting? Because it's fitting? Because its the most useful?

Faith & Trust
Comments: Not sure if I've posted this before, but reposting because I'm thinking about continuing this little story. Myth & Magic is still my focus, but especially with Peter Pan's 70th a few days ago, I would really like to finally finish what I had planned for this tale when I first wrote it years ago.
Description:
Yen Sid takes note of Mickey's cautiousness taken too far after the events of Fantasia. Fear has taken root in the once-mischievous child, and threatens to drain his imagination entirely. And so the sorcerer seeks a way to show his apprentice that imagination, though powerful, does not have to be bad. A world born and empowered by childish dreams could be the key to this, but events have transpired in this timeless place since the wizard's last visit, and the journey meant to show Mickey the heart of imagination's beauty, could be the thing that reveals its darkest and most frightening powers to him instead.
A short story about imagination, its dangers, and the potential it holds to accomplish both good and evil.
Draws elements from Fantasia, Peter Pan, and the Disney Fairies books by Gail Carson Levine.
Part 2
~~~
Imagination is a finicky thing…thought the bearded old man, furrowing his brow.  For today, he was attempting to conjure a new spell and yet was altogether uninspired.  This was not exceptionally rare, but at the moment it was exceptionally frustrating.  He felt distracted in every possible sense of the word.  Where he would have usually welcomed silence, the utter lack of sound now deafened every thought.  The stillness that had replaced his workshop’s usual flutter of chaos was far more grating than it was calming.  And as the sorcerer ran his hand across an immaculately clean table, he scowled.  There were no stars clumsily scribbled in dust, no storybooks lying open in places a certain apprentice should have been cleaning.
The room was sparkling.  Still.  Organized.  Perfect.
And therefore, as far from perfect as one could imagine.
But he took a deep breath and rolled up his sleeves anyway, hands crackling with the electricity of magic.  If this strange emptiness was ever to end, he had to find a way to end it.  A light had been dimmed in recent days and, though logic told him there was little to fear, something deeper whispered of a great deal to be lost should that light go out.
His mind wandered to the boy.  The flood he’d conjured had brought something far worse than its own watery dangers.  Those were contained with little trouble, but the fear of a child...that was something not so easily dispelled.  For fear breeds nightmares, and nightmares have a way of worming their way into every thought, poisoning the mind and draping every dream in shadow.  And now Mickey, the wildhearted mouse whose imagination was so full of fire and life, was growing colder and quieter by the day.
Yen Sid frowned and slashed his hands across the apparition he had unconsciously conjured, a swirling recollection of the past disaster.  Droplets of water dispersed along with wispy shards of the splintered brooms, creating, for a split moment, an eerie mist that snaked throughout the workshop.
This is no use.
And yet, perhaps the mist retained some of the spell’s magic, as well as its creator’s sense of purpose. For the verdigris faded into a deep blue and a single tendril emerged from the cloud, ribboning around the wizard’s fingers.  He raised an eyebrow as it climbed up his shoulder and swirled about his hat before whisking away to a nearby bookshelf.  It lingered there for a moment, then thrust itself into one of the books.  There was a flash of light, and the tale left its place and reappeared on the magician’s desk.
Yen sid tilted his head, studying the chosen text with great curiosity.  He was well aware of the power stories held.  Not a collection of falsehoods...but records.  Fantastic happenings immortalized within leatherbound pages.  And with a touch of magic, they could become doors to the worlds which lay inside.
The leather cover, painted a midnight blue, glowed softly in his study, and with a flick of the wizard’s wrists, the details etched in its surface rose up and came to life.  A sky littered with swirling stars.  A flash of green and a splash of gold.  A great ship which refused to obey the laws of gravity as it set sail across the night.
He grinned ever so slightly, beginning to see where this piece fit in his puzzle.  Though it had been many years since he’d stepped inside such a place, he had never forgotten what lay within.  It was a world of fantasy, magic, and adventure.  And most importantly....it was quite literally fueled by the very thing his apprentice had begun to fear:
Imagination.
This was a world conjured from the mind of a child.  Where danger and beauty existed side by side, both ever present, neither one ever truly succeeding in eradicating the other.
It was exactly what the young mouse needed to see.
And already, perhaps its influence was at work.  For when the wizard turned, he found his apprentice peeking through the doorway, wide-eyed and mesmerized by the starlit spectacle.  The boy let out a startled squeak when his master’s stare met his own, but the amused smirk on Yen Sid’s face was just enough to keep him from scampering off.  He flinched as the sorcerer approached, however, clutching the doorframe nervously for fear he might yet be admonished.
But Yen Sid only knelt down and held out a hand, watching with satisfaction as fearful eyes filled with curiosity.
“Hello, Mickey,” he spoke softly.  “How would you like to go on an adventure?”
