What makes them blush

Astarion ~
~ Whispering in his ear ~
~ Astarion always falls to pieces when you whisper in his ear
~ It doesn’t matter whether what you’re saying is innocent or not
~ A little shiver runs down his back a blush rises in his porcelain skin
~ He pretends to listen to what you’re saying, but in reality, he’s only paying attention to the way your lips ever so gently brush across his pointed ear
~ Before too long, his mind is clouded over and he’s completely lost on the conversation
~ With an embarrassed smile and perfectly pink cheeks, he never fails to ask
~ “I’m sorry, darling, I didn’t seem to catch that. Whisper it to me again?”
Halsin ~
~ Promises to come ~
~ In the beginning, it was hard to figure out what made Halsin come undone
~ It seemed that all of your regular tricks failed to rile up the Druid, and you were almost ready to give up
~ That was, until, jokingly you told him that you’d make him a Father if he didn’t stop snoring so loudly during the night
~ You were quite surprised to see Halsins cheeks go bright red and his eyes widen
~ He couldn’t even speak and the two of you sat in complete silence, waiting for each other to make a move
~ You could’ve help but smile slyly, knowing you had finally found a weak point
~ “Do not make promises you don’t intend to keep if you don’t intend to get my hopes up, my heart”
Gale ~
~ Denial ~
~ Gale was a hard one to tease
~ It didn’t matter what you did, it seemed impossible to make him embarrassed
~ You could kiss him like the world was ending in front of a crowd of people, and instead of being caught off guard, he’d just eat up the attention
~ Finally, after getting annoyed that you couldn’t make the wizard blush, you ignored him completely
~ It didn’t start out on purpose, you just needed some time to cool off
~ But after a while, you realized Gale was getting more and more desperate for your affection
~ He started out with little quips, a whine or two when you dodged his kisses
~ By the end of the evening, he was a blushing mess, practically at your feet hoping you’d give him a scrap of attention
~ “Please don’t make me beg, love”
Wyll ~
~ Public affection ~
~ Wyll loved showing off his love for the world, but mostly in small ways
~ A gentle handhold, a chaste kiss on the cheek, a soft grip on your waist when walking around Baldur’s Gate
~ You didn’t think much of it, it wasn’t like he was outright ignoring you in public
~ It wasn’t until you had suddenly pulled him close into a deep kiss that you realized why the Duke hadn’t done something like that before
~ When you pulled away, Wyll’s cheeks were flushed and his breath uneven
~ He looked around, making sure no one had seen how dramatic his reaction was before he gave a chuckle
~ “Oh, you’re in for a world of hurt for that one once we’re home”

Though the "don't be greedy" line is popular, this is the moment I genuinely was 100% expecting a sweet, romantic dialogue response option to appear, I really thought that's where they were going with it lol. He's so sincere in this moment.
Maybe you'd get the option to say something like "I didn't do it for thanks, your family deserves it. Though, perhaps you'd join me an evening for drinks?".
He'd get incredibly bashful and deflect by offering himself as an ally in the future anyway - maybe he'd say something like:
"Ah... well, I'm sure there'll be plenty of time for such... frivolity when this is all over. In the meantime, however I might aid you to that end, you need only ask. Please, consider this tower and it's master your faithful allies in all your endeavors."
And then you'd get ambient lines after the cutscene like:
Cal: Did... did Rolan just get asked out?
Lia: Well. Now I've seen everything.
Rolan: There's no need to be jealous. *mutters to self* I would like to accept your offer... no, I would be honoured to accept your kind offer...

Oh and if literal grass-touching IS viable, I also advocate for touching invasive grass. Many parks in the US have invasive plant removal volunteer work days. You get some air and some exercise and you can talk to other volunteers if you want or you can just march off into the trees on your own and start wreaking havoc with various hand tools. If you want to do something that is both useful AND destructive, I have found nothing better

Astarion being (potentially) the only other full blooded elf in camp being the one to see right past Halsin's wise-old gimmick.
"Psh—please, don't pull that with me. You're not old. You're tired."
Halsin is like, the elf equivalent of being 35. He's not old. He's just carrying so much weight on his shoulders, he's woken up to find that he doesn't like where he is and knows there isn't a way out of it—which is why he practically begs you to bring him along as a guide to the Shadowlands, why he doesn't turn back even though the city is uncomfortable. And he tries to play this bone-tired weariness off as age, because who would know well enough to dispute him?
Astarion.
(Also Astarion calling him out IN elfish so he can keep the secret around the others is very fun to me)

Thinking about how illusory magic is Gale's department in Blackstaff....
Thinking about him in his tower, how he made up that illusion of the astral sea for comfort...
Thinking about in the Underdark, the illusion of the northern lights, the cradle of eternity...
Thinking about your first night with Gale, the illusion of Waterdeep and the sea of stars....
Thinking about how creating illusions for Gale is probably what painting is to an artist...

Gale's Room in Waterdeep Reference
A few notes:
Is that a statue of Mystra on his desk?
His bench looks pretty old
Quite a lot of statues and paintings around his room
Empty display case in back
His book is called "The Art of the Night"
Let me know if you'd like a closer view of anything in this room.

Mystra showed him the secrets beneath the veils. The gossamer veils first, draped across the Weave. The delicate veils next, draped across her body. 'Chosen One' she whispered, as she slipped them off completely.
poor gale :'(
- the dialogue is from ea gale's explanation about his folly
- i kinda like that she ended up looking like a mother-of-pearl inlay lacquerware!
- oh this was a subconscious choice, but Gale is sitting in seiza which is a posture for showing respect especially to elders. it's also known to be a painful position to sit in for extended periods of time, which is why it was sometimes used as a method of (morally dubious) punishment. however, experienced people can maintain this posture for much longer. food for thought :-)
- (idk how credible this is but i think this position also leaves the person sitting pretty vulnerable to attacks compared to a cross legged sit? in that sense it would be an even greater show of deference)

Do you ever think about how the Tadfools are psychically linked together right from the moment they meet? And how, when the Netherbrain dies and the tadpoles are gone, that link just... vanishes?
All those months of being constantly aware of each other's presence. Always knowing if one of them is hurt or tired or needs a hug. Fighting together with uncanny fluidity, knowing exactly when to dodge out of the way of an incoming spell, knowing who needs healing and when. Holding entire conversations without any of them opening their mouths. And then - in a moment, they're cut off from each other.
Do you think Tav ever leaves the room their partner or friend is in and has to fight a stab of anxiety, not quite certain they're still there once they're out of sight? Did Gale go straight to Sorcerous Sundries and learn Rary's Telepathic Bond, because sometimes the silence is just overwhelming, too much like being shut up in his tower, alone? Do Karlach and Wyll ever finish a fight in Avernus and almost fall over from spinning around to to find each other, because without the tadpole link, they don't know anymore if the other one is okay?
I think maybe they all touch each other a lot, for that first week or so. Little pats and hands on the shoulder whenever they can, making up for that weird feeling that the others aren't quite tangible anymore. I think sometimes they try to send their thoughts to each other, and it takes a while for them to realise why no one's responding. I think they have to relearn how to fight as a team, even how to communicate, because they're so used to just knowing each other's feelings and needs.
I think sometimes Tav holds their partner or their dearest friend, and says, I know it doesn't make sense. I know you're right here. But I miss you.
