The Twisted Prophecy: Code of Fire
. â.àłàż:đ â.àłàż:

The infamous socialite of Roseclan! Hareskip is well known across the forest for his chipper attitude and bright ginger fur. Together with Roseclan's deputy Cloverpatch they act as mediators for disputes with other clans, as well as the rumored infighting happening within the bushes of Roseclan camp.

OK OK, i know i just posted about my au yesterday but i'm really on a roll with these designs. I kinda have an idea on what i'm actually doing so this post is MUCHHH more polished than poor riddle's. I think I might redo his once i get through the other heartslabyulers.
but yeah CATer!! i hit him with the kittyfication beam. He looks like a little cutie pie. I wanted him to look kinda bunny-ish, since in his beta design he had rabbit ears, so bunny!cater for the win i guess!!! Of course i had to put in his little fang in there too, couldn't pass up that opportunity. He's just really cute and i think he deserves a gold star sticker.
i've created Roseclan's little clan icon thing. stiilll not sure how i feel about it so it may or may not change in the upcoming posts. i'll figure it out. shoutout to riddle's coffin icon.
anyways, let's talk a little about Roseclan's territory and clan life! I think it's pretty neat. I imagine Roseclan's territory is pretty comparable to Thunderclan in the original books, except with lots of flower bushes. Not necessarily the typical roses that they have in Heartslabyul (I don't think those grow naturally in the wild??) but maybe like wild roses!
Somewhere on the far-end of territory there's a twoleg neighborhood that grows ACTUAL roses, and patrols will go there from time to time to hunt the critters those roses attract. Think rabbits, mice, and (less conventionally) bugs! Roseclan cats eat the caterpillars they find in roses as a good luck sort of thing, much to the disgust of other clans.
I loved the tidbits of world-building Warriors had so of course i'm gonna jam pack my AU with these little details. Overall I'm really excited to start really getting into this whole thing and sharing it with the rest of y'all!
well thats all i've got folks, have some little doodles of hareskip for the road.

Rhaegar Targaryen is easily one of GRRMâs best deconstructions of the genre and we donât talk about it enough. Heâs prince living in a world full of magic and wonder that has dwindled over time. His own family had a great monopoly on one of the most magical phenomena (dragons) to ever exist, but they lost this control over time and it was due to their own faults. But thereâs an all encompassing hope that this magic, these dragons, will come back. They all live within the promise that it will all be back and with a huge bang. Itâs all so romantic. Magical forces of ice and fire battling it out in a song.
Then thereâs Rhaegar, a prince born for the sole purpose of being this songâs romantic hero. He already has his destiny mapped out and it will be a great one, greater than any other man who ever lived. Itâs a song of ice and fire, and Rhaegar is its bard. Youïżœïżœd expect this to give him joy. Yet by all accounts, he was depressed as fuck. I think heâs unfairly earned the reputation of having an ego so big to think that he will be the heroâŠ.but thatâs quite literally the point of his existence. He was born to be the hero. He paid the price at birth to be the hero. How can he revel and glory in this destiny when he has no say in it?
So itâs genuinely funny that when given the chance, Rhaegar immediately pivots to someone else taking on this burden. But how tragic for him that he cannot escape it too far. Because it will be none other than his own son who, under a âbleeding starâ, is marked at conception for this great destiny without a say. More than his ego, Rhaegar is marked by the inability to escape this duty. His whole life is dedicated to fulfilling a duty he can never escape. He isnât just a future king, prophecy dictates that the worldâs survival is placed squarely on his shoulders. Even when he isnât the hero, heâs now responsible for raising himâŠ
âŠbut then he makes one decision and it all comes crumbling like a pack of biscuits. He escapes this burdenâŠbut dies. And his successor dies too. And now the ones who will inherit his legacy are two people who never knew him. They never knew of his burdens, of this prophecy. But they too cannot escape its jaws. I think this does bring up some interesting questions about the nature of fate and destiny in the world of ice and fire. Can you really escape it? Rhaegar tried to, and paid the price for his defiance, but he never truly made it out because the burden instead jumped to the son (and sister) he never knew. Funny thing is that in a bizarre (and tragic, in its own way) twist of fate, this son was brought up entirely without the trappings of power that depressed Rhaegar. Rhaegar was a dazzling prince, Jon is a bastard. Rhaegar was marked by his great inheritance, Jon is marked by the lack thereof. Does fate say âwell the first one got too depressed by having too much so letâs give the next one nothing?â Even Dany, who grows up a princess does not have the privileges that Rhaegar did. So how does upbringing craft a hero and the choices they make? Welll, GRRM had given us two versions of Rhaegarâs tragedy in Jon and Dany for us to see.
Rhaegarâs impact on the meta-narrative is honestly so massive. Like Iâd put him right up there with Quentyn, Sansa, and Bran as one of the best genre deconstructions in the series and no one can tell me otherwise.
#rhaegar you are a hot mess express BUT THEY COULD NEVER MAKE ME HATE YOU!!!#this is why i dont think rhaegar approached lyanna specifically for prophecy - however twisted i genuinely think he did it for love#it just works better from a narrative standpoint if he chose love for the first time in his life and this love allowed him to escape duty#but then he paid the ultimate price for it because he just canât walk away#only death can pay for life and all that#in my rhaegar posting hours#brb gonna sob uncontrollably#asoiaf#valyrianscrolls#rhaegar targaryen#jon snow#daenerys targaryen

i haven't seen anyone talk about how annabeth watched luke kill himself. he was her only proof of permanence for five years. then after he fled from camp. percy adopted that role. and since annabeth read the great prophecy at seven. it's safe to assume she often thought about which boy she was going to lose when the prophecy came to pass the entire series. then by blocking ethan's attempt to stab percy in his achilles spot. she ensures percy's survival. and luke's downfall. and she had to sit back and watch it play out. fate's a twisted thing.

definitely not prophetic!
Character: Riddle Rosehearts, Ace Trappola, Deuce Spade, Cater Diamond, Trey Clover, Leona Kingscholar, Jack Howl, Ruggie Bucchi, Azul Ashengrotto, Jade Leech, Floyd Leech, Kalim Al-Asim, Jamil Viper, Vil Schoenheit, Epel Felmier, Rook Hunt, Idia Shroud, Silver, Sebek Zigvolt, Lilia Vanrouge, Malleus Draconia
pick one of your favs from above when reading!
Masterlist
imagine having dreams of him every night, each time showcasing him with you, perfectly in love in different scenarios. sometimes you're on vacation and you're exploring some new place, sometimes you're waking up in his embrace as sunlight peeks through the window, and on the rare occasion, you hear bell-like laughter from children running up to you, dragging him along by pulling at his hand, the very picture of domestic bliss
you're not sure what to make of these dreams, you don't even know him that well, having met him just a few weeks ago, and now you're having these dreams about him? what if they were prophetic dreams? no, no, you shouldn't think that way, you don't even have any feelings towards him, so isn't saying they're prophetic dreams too much of a stretch? it almost sounds like you want it to become reality! there's no proof any of these visions are set to happen! you still want to go home after all!
home. that's right, you should be going home. that's your utmost priority, and if anything you should be avoiding the person who keeps appearing in your dreams, juust in case they are prophetic dreams which they are not because he'll keep you tied to twisted wonderland.
only if you keep avoiding a person who has never once interacted with you, you'll only intrigue them more. he didn't mind the fact at all, but as he's observing you from the window, joking around with all your other friends that you have obviously not avoided, he feels a smidge of hurt and maybe even jealously.
he's hearing all this praise about what a nice person you are, how willing you are to help others and talk to other people, meanwhile your attitude towards him is a complete 180; avoiding his gaze when he's trying to speak with you, running off with some random excuse of an errand, or even straight up turning away the moment you locked eyes with him! isn't this a little bit too cruel?
meanwhile, you can't say your feelings for him are entirely hostile. it'd be too difficult to hate a person who always smiles so endearingly at you, who holds you like you mean the entire world to them, whose laugh always washes away any trace of fatigue in you. you're cursing yourself for being so easily swayed by these dreams, but thankfully this motivates you to further limit your interactions with him.
this, of course, does not go unnoticed by him. and to say he's upset is the understatement of the century. what has he done to provoke you this time?! he's only tried to be nice to you, make good conversation, sevens, he's even tried to bribe you with your favourite food that he overheard you mention!
ok, he's having none of this avoiding, at the very least he demands an explanation as to why you act so strangely only around him.
he seizes the opportunity when it comes, a hand next to your head, pinning you against the stone wall in a silent hallway. his narrowed eyes peer into yours, and you can't help but get lost in the clarity that often eludes you in your dreams. his eyes glisten with a captivating sparkle, framed by delicate eyelashes, and you can almost imagine his voice murmuring sweet nothings to you as he showers you in affection...
no, no, no! this is exactly why you're avoiding him!!
you feel your face heat up so much so that it feels like a blazing furnace, radiating so intensely that it sparks a whirlwind of dizziness within you. you avert your gaze to the ground and you try to get out of this situation, but he's not having any of it.
he tilts your chin upwards so you'll face him once again, his touch gentle and familiar just like the ones in your dreams, and he's granted the sight of you, blushing and flustered and so so overwhelmed and-
...oh?
did... did his heart just skip a beat?

Maggieâs pendants and good omens
Yes, youâve read it right. This post is going to deal with some literal good omens, not just title drop! But first things first, letâs take a closer look at the topic of this analysis.
A toucan
The top necklace is a lovely design involving a crowned toucan â believed to be a messenger of gods able to travel between the spiritual and the physical world, often associated with rain and rainbow (a Christian symbol of divine love, grace, and mercy, a reminder of the covenant between God and humanity to spare the latter from future trials like the Flood) â encircled by a gold band (a symbol of infinity, eternal love and promise) spun by a small butterfly (a symbol of transformation, hope, and rebirth). All three symbols combined seem to deliver a divine message of hope for rebirth, possibly resurrection, and the eternal life. Very fitting in the context of the Second Coming.
The fact that toucans were revered by the native South Americans as rainbringers strengthens the symbolic meaning of another type of bird we can spot on Maggieâs clothes in the very first episode, as her character introduction â a swallow. Swallows flying low are also believed to be harbingers of rain and bad weather. If you see one close to Earth or a building, it means that thereâs a storm â or a certain biblical tempest â on the horizon.
In Ancient Greece and Rome swallows were representing Aphrodite, goddess of love. In Christianity they were considered to be of God and symbolized hope, awakening, and revival of life as messengers of spring and protectors from winter colds. Also helped Jesus on the Cross â according to a Christian legend, a group of swallows was supposed to take out the thorns from the Crown of Thorns and alleviate His Passion on the Cross. Humans banding together in the name of good have been a big theme in the series ever since The Them made an appearance, and from what we already know about the unpublished Good Omens sequel, we can assume that Jesus is going to take the spotlight in the upcoming season.
Maggie definitely attracts sudden inexplicable weather changes, like a thunderstorm with weirdly localized lightning strikes or a sudden downpour. And weâre still waiting for some vavooming (and the following happy ending) to happen in S3.
A heart with an eye
Now, the more nuanced clue hidden in the bottom necklace. I know that some of us were trying to tackle the concept of Maggieâs eye in a heart pendant suggesting her Masonic connotations, but this symbol (or the Eye of Providence in general) isnât strictly Masonic, it isnât even limited only to Judeo-Christian art. And while it is used a lot in Christian iconography, we should focus on a very specific example of it already referenced in the show.
Buckle up, weâre making a parachute dive into S1.
It seems like our old friend, Agnes Nutter, still has our backs.
Prophecy 4020:
Let the wheel of fate turne, let harts enjoin, there are othere fyres than mine; when the whirl wynd whirls, reach oute one to another.
If you look closely at the bottom right corner of this frame, you will see that as an illustration for the above prophecy the production team chose a 1611 engraving titled The Minde should have a fixed Eye On Objects, that are placâd on High first found in Gabriel Rollenhagenâs Nucleus emblematum selectissimorum.
In 1635 it was published in A Collection of Emblemes, Ancient and Moderne Quickened With Metrical Illustrations, both Morall and Divine, Etc by George Wither with the accompanying hymn:
A Heart, which bore the figure of an Eye
Wide open to the Sunne; by some, was us'd,
When in an Emblem, they would signifie
A Minde, which on Celestiall Matters mus'd:
Implying, by the same, that there is nought
Which in this lower Orbe, our Eyes can see,
So fit an Object for a manly thought,
As those things, which in Heav'n above us be.
God, gave Mankinde (above all other Creatures)
A lovely Forme, and upward-looking Eye,
(Among the rest of his peculiar Features)
That he might lift his Countenance on high:
And (having view'd the Beauty, which appeares
Within the outward Sights circumference)
That he might elevate above the SphĂŠres,
The piercing Eye, of his Intelligence.
Then, higher, and still higher strive to raise
His Contemplations Eyes, till they ascend
To gaine a glimpse of those eternall Rayes,
To which all undepraved Spirits tend.
For, 'tis the proper nature of the Minde
(Till fleshly Thoughts corrupt it) to despise
Those Lusts whereto the Body stands inclin'd;
And labour alwayes, upward to arise.
Some, therefore, thought those Goblins which appeare
To haunt old Graves and Tombes, are Soules of such,
Who to these loathsome places doomed were,
Because, they doted on the Flesh too much.
But, sure we are, well-minded Men shall goe
To live above, when others bide below.
And hey, guess what 4020, i.e., the number of the prophecy, symbolizes in Strongâs Concordance? Periergazomai, a Greek word meaning âto waste one's labor about somethingâ â to meddle, going beyond proper boundaries (where a person doesn't belong); to fixate on what others are doing, instead of doing what the person himself is supposed to do.
It appears only once in the Bible:
2 Thessalonians 3:11: We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat. And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.
To make things slightly more interesting, in the Hebrew version of Strongâs Concordance 4020 has another meaning â migbaloth, meaning âtwisted things, i.e. cordsâ. Which doesnât make much sense until we read the actual passage:
Exodus 28:24 and two chains of pure gold, twisted like cords; and you shall attach the corded chains to the settings.
And compare it to the most recent post on the topic published directly by Word of God:
What if all these clues didnât apply to Maggie and Nina, but Aziraphale and Crowley instead? What if Maggie served as a messenger â consciously or not â just like the toucan, delivering the prophecy to those who need it most?
âWhen the tempest comes and darkness and great storms, and the dead will leave their graves and walk the Earth once more and there will be great lamentations for the end is near, donât lose hope, hold hands and look up.â
Basically what Aziraphale and Crowley already did when they performed the 25 Lazarii miracle, only with no interference from Gabriel this time around.
And, if both Strongâs Concordance and Maggieâs personal addition to her second pendant are to be believed, with a wedding band somehow involved in the process.
#everything has a meaning#the invisible and unbreakable line that joins Crowley and Aziraphale#two chains of pure gold twisted like cords#never tire of doing what is good#donât lose hope#hold hands and look up#the good omens crew is unhinged#good omens props#good omens costumes#the nice and accurate prophecies of agnes nutter#agnes nutter#good omens#maggie service#good omens meta#good omens analysis#strongâs concordance#yuri is doing her thing#ineffable husbands#wedding bands

...waitwait wait. So Ghosts, right. I've long thought that one of the twists we'll come across is that Ghosts are in fact made from both Darkness and Light, that they're almost similar in nature to Hive Throne Worlds. Memory and echoes and all that. And then it hit me that the quintessential Ghost, with an unmodified shell, is a black sphere surrounded by white pyramids. Light if it was Dark and Dark if it was Light.
#this isn't like. I'm not really going anywhere with this I just think this is a twist we're gonna get and this another little breadcrumb yk#I wonder what I could find to that effect in Prophecy/elsewhere#destiny theory#destiny 2

Character Spotlight: Neelix
By Ames
At some point, the Star Trek fan base decided the worst main character of the franchise is Neelix â heâs obnoxious, his jokes donât land, heâs dating a two-year-old, he looks like that. But if you actually, I dunno, watch the show, your hosts here at A Star to Steer Her By found that Neelix might be one of the most complex, consistent, and realistic characters on the show. Even Caitlin, who started our Voyager watchthrough disliking him, ended it bathed in the Talaxian love.
So get off the hate train and give the guy the open mind he deserves. Heâs only trying to help the friends he met in the Delta Quadrant while battling some of the harshest mental demons the show has given to a character. Not to mention that Ethan Phillips gets to show his dramatic range show by show, comic relief one day, and emotionally destroyed the next. Check out both sides of the Neelix character below â the good and the bad â listen to our debate on this weekâs podcast episode (stroll over to 51:16), and make your own decision! Weâll see you in the mess hall!

Best moments
Now I am become death, destroyer of Talaxians The first season of Voyager is already digging deep into Neelixâs tragic backstory when âJetrelâ reveals that his whole family was taken out by the titular characterâs metreon cascade. The whole episode is Neelix facing the man who killed so many Talaxians, and also facing his own deep guilt. When he forgives the dying Jetrel, heâs really forgiving himself and finally moving on.
Thereâs nothing like a family reunion Weâll have more to say about âParturitionâ in our next section, but we start to see Neelix the caregiver in his interactions with the newly hatched dino puppet. Not only do we see an end to the entirely stupid love triangle between Neelix, Kes, and Tom, but we glimpse how much Neelix puts other people before himself when he pushes to save the baby monster thing.
Iâm going to have plenty of material for tomorrowâs Briefing With Neelix Neelixâs nosiness, while frequently one of his more annoying traits, ends up paying off in âInvestigationsâ when he uncovers the mole whoâs been making contact with Seska and those wily Kazons. Not only does Neelix put himself at risk by going undercover, but he also ends up murdering that saboteur Jonas by throwing him into a plasma fire like a badass!
The 299th Rule of Acquisition: Whenever you exploit someone, it never hurts to thank them Ethan Phillips sure knows how to play a Ferengi, having portrayed Farek in âMĂ©nage Ă Troi.â But Neelix himself also plays a damn good Ferengi, totally pulling off the Grand Proxy / Holy Pilgrim in âFalse Profits.â He initially fools Arridor and Kol with his quick thinking and improv, and when the game is rumbled, succeeds in protecting the Takarians from their Ferengi ploy.
Whatâs this weekâs legend, Olmec? While overall we found âSacred Groundâ to be an unfocused and confounding mess, Neelix is still strong in it nonetheless! He does everything in his power to support the effort to get Kes out of her supernatural coma. Most importantly, he figures out the loophole via an old anecdote about an ancient king requesting an audience with the spirits, which Janeway pounces on.
Iâm tired of being the target of all your hostility Sure, most of the time, you can view Neelixâs interactions with Tuvok as insufferable and tone deaf (much like I frequently find Archerâs constant needling of TâPol in Enterprise), but it comes from a place of love and respect. It takes Tuvok several seasons to reciprocate this and it all starts in âRiseâ when Neelix finally stands up for himself to the tactless Vulcan.
Intergalactic House of Pancakes As the Voyagerâs morale officer, Neelix commonly goes out of his way to support his fellow crew members. Itâs something a shipâs counselor should be doing, but we donât have one of those. So Neelix takes it upon himself to offer comfort food (like blood pie in âDay of Honorâ and banana pancakes in âExtreme Riskâ), a shoulder to cry on, or his body in the form of a punching bag.
Flotter and the Crashed Shuttlepod We get more of caregiver Neelix in his relationship with Naomi Wildman throughout the show. As the girlâs godfather, heâs the only one who can get her to bed at night, with stories of the Great Forest in âMortal Coil.â But he truly shines in âOnce Upon a Timeâ when his impulse is to protect her from the possibility her mother could die, but it ends with both he and Naomi growing when he learns that being honest with her will help them better survive trauma together.
When is a Vulcan no longer a Vulcan? We loved the vulnerable, un-Vulcan Tuvok in âRiddlesâ and we love Neelix in this episode even more. Once again, he shows what a great caregiver he is by selflessly caring for others. Itâs even more personal because the Tuvok-Neelix relationship has built over the show, so Neelixâs support of his friend really pulls at your heartstrings, especially with the heart-wrenching ending.
See anyone you know? Neelix gets two different farewell scenes with Kes in Voyager. The first is a touching goodbye in âThe Giftâ when they know Kes is transcending to a new type of Ocampan. The second might be the only good moment from the deeply problematic âFuryâ in which a tormented Kes is rampaging around the ship but Neelix treats her with the affection and empathy he always has.
Sheâs a fine specimen of Klingon womanhood I ran out of room in the EMH post to include how uncomfortable I felt when he insists Harry Kim bang Officer ChâRega in âProphecyâ even though itâs clear Kim doesnât consent. But you know whoâs down to clown with a Klingon mistress? Neelix! He successfully gets the tall drink of bloodwine off of Harryâs ass and onto his own. Everyone wins! Qaplaâ!
Coming full circle Neelixâs character gets the perfect ending in âHomestead.â See above how we started the series with Neelix feeling guilty that he wasnât there during the Talaxian-Haakonian war and accepting that heâll never go home again. And here we see him off after heâs saved a lost Talaxian colony and gets to rejoin his people. Itâs the most complete character arc of the show.
â
Worst moments
Always let your scavenger be your guide This isnât all to say Neelix is a perfect angel. We first meet him when heâs scavenging around in âCaretaker,â and the very first thing he does is trick the Voyager into helping him free Kes from the Kazons who have captured her. Which is admirable, mind you, but he goes about it through deception and cunning. Not the best impression to make for the first time we encounter him.
Your ceiling is hideous This is one of those moments that isnât entirely Neelixâs fault, but is definitely bad for him. Whatâs a better way to respond to having your lungs stolen from you as his were in âPhageâ? Iâm not sure, but itâs probably not constantly whining, wallowing in self pity, and accusing Kes of having an affair with Tom. Not a good look, though I certainly canât say Iâd handle it much better.
You donât know where I was the night Rinax was destroyed As we said above, Neelixâs backstory that comes out in âJetrelâ really deepens his character. Itâs also where we learn that he dodged the draft during the Talaxian-Haakonian war. I canât judge him for hiding from a war he doesnât believe in, but I sure can judge him for lying for many years that he was actually in the defense forces because he was ashamed for being a coward.
Get the cheese to sickbay This oneâs just silly. What a strange development that it turns out the reason the ship is malfunctioning all over the place in âLearning Curveâ is because the brill cheese Neelix whipped up to attempt to make macaroni and cheese. The schplict that Neelix brings on board infects the bio-neural circuitry of the ship, and it feels like a joke more than anything else.
Order the diapers. Weâre about to become parents. Letâs put aside the âKes is only two years old!â argument that weâve had on the podcast myriad times, and instead have the âNeelix is a possessive and selfish partnerâ argument thatâs actually warranted. In âElogium,â when Kes is going through a traumatic life stage that forces her to decide if sheâs ready to have children, Neelix somehow makes it all about him, which is gross.
How do you know where everyoneâs quarters are? Speaking of Neelix being a bad boyfriend, he continues to be a controlling, jealous piece of shit in âTwisted.â Not only does he whine when Tom gives Kes a birthday present, but he also accuses her of being the town pump because her eidetic memory makes her remember where everyoneâs quarters are. And then he vanishes randomly and we never get an apology!
Food fight! Most of these bad Neelix moments are clumped in the first couple of seasons, and thatâs because itâs here at âParturitionâ that the writers realized they needed to stop leaning on the jealous boyfriend trope and fix the Neelix-Paris relationship. It really was that bad. They were such children, starting a food fight over Kes and acting like animals during mating season.
No bone about it Remember how we gave Chakotay credit for not going out of his way not to desecrate a gravesite in âEmanationsâ? Apparently Neelix has no such qualms. Heâs really gung ho to make some tools out of some humanoid bones he and Hogan find in âBasics.â And sadly for us, it ends up with Hogan getting killed by whatever monster or other left those bones there!
None of us knows whatâs coming This episode would have made way more sense if it happened a season earlier. By âFair Trade,â midway through season three, Neelix should know better that he doesnât have to prove himself around his found family on the Voyager. But instead, he throws Tom and Chakotay under the bus and threatens his own life so he can get a map and continue to be the quadrant expert.
You sound as though youâre saying goodbye Itâs not often that youâll find one of our moments be a scene that didnât happen. When Neelix resorts to a certainly suicidal plan to trick the black market dealers in âFair Trade,â he thinks heâs going to die, but he never has a scene with Kes. I canât forgive the writers for cutting a scene of him saying goodbye to Kes, who has ONE inconsequential line in the whole episode.
I want to hear about the Great Forest again If we can give Torres shit for how poorly she deals with trauma in âExtreme Risk,â then we can also share the disapproval for Neelix with how abysmally he deals with his mortality in âMortal Coil,â as he nearly spaces himself. This is another reason why itâs clear the Voyager needs a counselor because even if the crew knew how to ask for help (they donât), thereâs no one to ask.
All we need now is a mark Being such a people person, Neelix also gets himself into trouble by being way too trusting. He easily falls for Dalaâs nun story in âLive Fast and Prosperâ like an absolute rube. And then when he and Tom are trying to prove theyâre not rubes, Neelix picks the EMH to play a shell game against, who is absolutely the wrong mark. What a couple of rubes.
