I don't usually put myself out there as it makes me nervous. But I've been a lurker for way too long, and it's about time I step out of my comfort zone. So, hello! I'm Dee (she/her), twenty-two, and have found my voice with storytelling.

Writing has always been a passion of mine, and continues to be the tool I turn to when I need an outlet to freely express myself. I have, unfortunately, hit a rough patch with consistency, and I'm here to bring all of that motivation and inspiration back. Especially since there are one too many WIPs sitting on the backburner, and they're all calling my name.

As someone who loves to dip their toes into every genre of fiction, I will read anything that peaks my interest. However, when it comes to creating, my works usually fall under romance and mystery. With practice, I intend on branching out into other genres I don't write often. There's a lot to explore in the world of writing, and I don't want to limit myself to only two categories.

Creating this blog provides me the space I need to accomplish the many goals I often dream of achieving. I acknowledge that it all starts with the ability to hold myself accountable. To show up for myself. To become comfortable with the uncomfortable. Putting myself and my projects out into the world is only the first of many steps, and it feels quite liberating.

I aim to use the voice I've found to not only contribute to the progression of POC representation, but to touch on several topics that remain heavily stigmatized in today's media. There’s a joy that runs through my veins every time I see someone like me on my screen or in a book. I feel seen, heard, and proud. I feel important. But as a creator, there’s that itch that can only be scratched when I create. When I make something that lets the next person know that they’re not invisible. That they're valued, loved, and appreciated. That's what I hope for when someone reads a project of mine. For them to feel the same rush of joy flowing through them as it does me.

For the past month, you’ve only seen Megumi during your regular meetings on the rooftop or passing him in the corridor. When asked about it, he simply said he spends most of the days at the studio, recording music for some artist who hired him as a guitarist for their new album. Between the rooftop and corridor, the only signs he was still alive were a few messages and sounds of him practicing behind your wall. Sounds that you got used to and started to enjoy. At least for the most part.

“Sorry for the noise, guys, he’s just wrapping it up.” You say to your viewers and focus back on choosing the game for tonight’s stream. “Should we do that card trading sim? It looked fun when we played the demo.”

With the game chosen and in the process of installing, you fill the time answering the chat and drinking your coffee.

You almost spit your coffee all over the desk reading this, and you don’t know whether you should laugh or cry. Not again.

“Yuji and y/n neighbors confirmed, guys; the hot one you like so much is his roommate. Chill out.” Deciding to laugh, you inform the chat and wipe the coffee from your chin. A few moments later, your game is ready to be turned on, and miraculously, Megumi stops playing right when you click on it. Typing a quick thanks to him, you tune back into the stream for the next three hours. The game turns out to be a nice one, perfect for a calm Sunday evening. You decide to slowly finish the night when Nobara texts you that she’s going back home with food for the both of you, so you go through the last few questions.

sammie: y/nnn, have you heard that new song The Fallen released yesterday???

“Yes, I’ve listened to it like twenty times already!”

When you woke up on Saturday, the last thing you expected was a notification about your beloved band releasing a new song. There was no forecast about it on their social media, not even one post; it just randomly showed up on Spotify, and the fandom went crazy. Was it planned? Leaked? Does this mean the new album is coming soon?

“It’s amazing, like everything they released. I swear, Zenin was chosen by gods to be the scribe, because how could a mortal human write something as good as their lyrics? There’s this part, ‘I know what I am, the mouth of the wolf, the eyes of the lamb.’ I got chills hearing it, seriously. I would do anything to talk to this man about his lyrical genius.” You sigh and lean back in the chair, reading messages from your followers who express their opinions on the song. There’s a knock on the door, and Kugisaki peeks into your room.

“I got dinner, you nerd.” She says and comes closer, waving to the camera.

Soon you’re both splayed on the couch, eating the takeout of her choice and paying half-mind to some rom-com she turned on the TV. Finishing your meal, you put the bowl on the coffee table and grab your phone for the first time since finishing the stream. There are a few notifications, but only two catch your eye. Hello guys! First of all happy new year ! Hope you had a great time out there :) 🎆

Today I'm writing this to explain why decimation of Sims 4 meshes is paramount while converting stuff. You know me, I don't like to make statements as english isn't my first language and I find it difficult sometimes to actually write things down - even in italian I struggle sometimes lol. BUT I think this would be useful to all the cc converters and creators out there. So please, take this as an advice, for the sake of our oldie and beloved Sims 3.

Little backstory: I was casually browsing tumblr the other day and stumbled across a beautiful food set converted from Sims 4 - which I immediately saw was high quality. Just for curiosity I downloaded it, checked the polycount of a random object (if you're new here it's the total number of polygons found in a three-dimensional model) and it had way too many polys: 28k vertices - 34k faces + 4096x4096 textures.

Sims 3 is quite an old game now. Every player had experienced lag and glitches at some point so it's very, very important to make the stuff you create/convert from other games suitable for it! Here comes to the rescue a super useful tool in blender called decimation. It basically "allows you to reduce the vertex/face count of a mesh with minimal shape changes", as said on blender website. In just 2 minutes and with not so much effort I was able to reduce those polygons down to 8,4k vertices - 7,4k faces. Do you see any difference? I don't honestly.

Optimization is the key. Converting from sims 4 is not just taking the mesh and textures and putting them all in Sims 3. I wish it was tho!

You're free to put whatever you want in your game but you have to think about the game performance as well. There are people who still play the game and as an ex player I got really upset when I had laggy gaming sessions.

Having said that, here's a tut about blender and the decimation tool, done by @simaddix and which I think covers every important aspect of that useful tool.

Hello🐹Now that is near the end of the year, it’s time for the personal top-5 list of my builds and CCs that I’m most proud of😤also a little bit of self-promotion…_(:з」∠)_  

I've said I'd build the Mass Effect Normandy and hopefully finished the sim-shape hologram but it didn't happen _(:з」∠)_ (a new idea came up with the hologram thingy I will have to test it out before making anything...) hopefully a more productive year in 2025 (´･ω･`)

Underground City - Kabuki (No CC)🎦|| Just realized although I've made only a few builds this year I actually like all of them...I really really really want to build an underground city, and honestly I'm quite surprised with what I could do with no CCs xD I really need to build one with CCs ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

4. Post-Apocalyptic Bridge Town (No CC)🎦 || I don't usually build builds that doesn't match its surroundings, but I really love this bridge-town ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ My favorite part is the functional beach lounge in the concrete tunnel xD

3. The Columbarium🎦 || I play my sims in generations, so I've always wanted a nice cemetery for my save. And now my sims could finally have a place to visit their loved ones :)

2. Kowloon Tong Lau (No CC)🎦 || I love all the signs and neon lights I placed on the outside ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ I actually lived in a Tong Lau before with my grandmother. I miss her 🧡🐹

3. Simple Columbarium Niche || I thought making this would be easy, turns out no it wasn't ._. It originally had a function to store the urn, but when I finally tested it out on a community lot turns out storage is not possible...

2. Ripperdoc Set || I'm surprised at myself for actually making a set xD it was a lot of work but also a lot of fun, therefore it's worth it ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

1. Cyberpunk 2077 Sliding Doors and Frames || This has the best cover photo ever...look at all the colors!! (≧∇≦)ﾉ p.s. just to be clear if I ever label any sim-thing as "cyberpunk 2077" that means those objects/build designs are originally from the game Cyberpunk 2077. any other thing else are "inspired by" ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

Summery of 2024:

I didn't make much builds and CCs this year since I got that 2-months only hiatus _(:з」∠)_ It was a hot season with my computer heating up due to JUST playing the Sims 4 only - which really frustrated me, along with the sudden increase of Sims 4 glitches and bugs😡 I remember browsing through the EA Sims 4 Bug Report Forum and seeing all those reports really made me felt disappointed in the game (I know I'm kinda in the creator network thingy but that does not mean I have to praise the game blindly...) but thankfully somehow the crashes stopped and the switching to DX11 seems to have solved a lot of lagging issues🤔

Oh and yea this year I got into the Sims 4 Creator Program (EA Creator Network) (≧∇≦)/ xD I actually applied for it a very long time ago when it was called something else...I applied it for Mass Effect xD then I think I saw someone talking about the program recently and I was like "hmm...I think I had submitted my name to a program like that..." but I never got a reply...so I renewed my application and added Sims 4 and Dragon Age to it...and then it happened ( •̀ ω •́ )✧ the thing I'm most happy about is my creator code is "hamster" xD just - 🐹🐹🐹 xD

The Urbz in The Sims 4: Businesses and Hobbies: i totally didn't forget that the pack released oops

(final part unless i get real inspired or an ask or something)

Ok so, the pack with the Urbz Characters dropped over a month ago at this point, on March 6th. And, as I expected, the new pack had new "secrets"/gossip dialogues for the characters to build out the 'lore' of the characters a bit more (this is to-be-expected given its presence in the recent packs). and i, in my autistic, Sims handheld-obsessed ways, did immediately CTRL + F through the pack's string table to find what secrets it was holding (within the hour that my very legal source dropped the pack). I started this post, and... I didn't finish it until whatever timestamp is listed on this post.

Anyhow, the feature in this pack is called "Nordhaven Noise," where you interact with a resident of the neighborhood and learn a little about the world or the pre-mades. There's quite a bit of "noise" about the returning Urbz characters that are very... referential. So, I thought I'd point out what the references are and some of my thoughts about them.

I heard Gramma Hattie went to jail once, everyone wonders what she did!

Reference to Mission 4, Goal 4, Running from The Law, where Hattie lands in jail alongside the player because of Daddy Bigbucks' new running law. I thought there was an implication that she's landed herself in jail multiple times though. I'd have to go and check.

I heard that Gramma Hattie's go-to drink at the Koffieboon was a quadruple grande decaf soy mochaccino with extra whip. She's the only one they allowed to order that thing.

Reference to Gramma Hattie's dialogue when asked about coffee shops: When I'm not thirsty I order a quadruple grande decaf soy mochachino with extra whip.

I hadn't picked up on the connection between having her comical coffee order and her marrying into a Coffee House Family, and honestly? That's a really sweet backstory for her and her late husband to have met through haha.

... Honestly, it's kinda making me want to headcanon the Urbz Coffee Barista as her daughter.

I heard Gramma Hattie helped save her home city from some oily corporate men. Shady business people better watch out around her.

Reference to Hattie's overall role in The Urbz, although the wording is weird. Corporate men? Plural? There was more than one?

Also, I don't feel like they actually acknowledged that Gramma Hattie is a career political activist. I mean, yes, she did that. But her character was established to have been doing stuff like this for decades. I'm also curious about the timeline here, because she met her husband in Nordhaven and yet...

I heard that someone once wrote a biography about Cannonball…I wonder what kind of life that man must have lived.

A reference to the following dialogue that Coleman says while talking about books: I don't want to brag, but I had a book written about me last year. It was a biography called "Cannon Fire!"

I heard Cannonball also goes by King Cool, cool.

King Cool is Cannonball Coleman's name in the French translation of The Urbz. I'm actually super glad they referenced that haha. It's one of my favorite translated names from the handheld Sims games.

Cannonball apparently used to play at a place called Club Zydeco, I wonder if that venue is still around?

Very factual. This is both prominent from Coleman's schedule (where he's usually at Club Zydeco at night) and the goal Get On The "List". The second part is probably referencing the fact that its said to be closed by the time The Sims 2 for Nintendo DS is released. The text that references this is as follows: "Cannonball" Coleman's Sax Lounge has become the spot for new music since the Zydeco Club closed in '04. Eat, drink, dance or record your own music!

Cannonball said his hat used to be his grandfather's, how sweet is that? And also, how durable must that hat be?

Reference to the dialogue that Coleman says when you tease him: That's low, man. My grandfather gave me this hat. And I think his grandmother gave it to him.

I have the same question too, random Sims 4 Sim.

I've seen Crispin hang out near that dark alley in Iverstad. I wonder what's up with that.

To my knowledge, this isn't a reference towards anything in The Urbz. It is a reference to a pack feature though. In the new pack, there's a new NPC named Trashley Reelpearson, AKA 3 raccoons in a trenchcoat. This NPC sells um... a new art collection themed around raccoons. Crispin runs an art museum, so the implication is probably that he's buying Trashley's art.

I heard that Crispin used to run an art gallery in another city…then he set his eyes on buying the Konst Modern when he moved here.

Cannonball used to be an amazing saxophone player, but he hasn't touched any since his last one broke.

This is just an In-Universe explanation for why Coleman doesn't have his saxophone anymore.

As a note, there's an object named "King Cool's Framed Sax" whose description reads:

This framed, broken sax reminds you of those failed dreams and passions that you lost, with the silver lining of adding some sultry, jazzy vibes to your decor.

Tragic, I guess.

And some other stuff I don't have the brain power to organize properly into this post:

Crispin Black has a special interaction with every single Sim. He can judge a Sim's outfit, and Sims will get an embarrassed moodlet if he dislikes it and a confident moodlet if he likes it. That's a fun detail, although I do not trust the fashion opinions of anyone who willingly goes to bed in only underwear and dress shoes (seriously, what is UP with that?).

There's also another object that mentions Gramma Hattie, that being "Gramma Hattie's Bakery," whose description reads:

Ever since Gramma Hattie appeared on the Great Nordhaven Cake Off, her bakery stall has been the talk of the town. Just don't try to ask her about her secret ingredient (it's cardamom).

No comment.

Now onto the secrets...

From other Nordhaven residents, you can hear:

Apparently Ollie's birth parents keep in contact with Crispin. Everyone wonders who they are.

From Cannonball Coleman, you can hear:

Yeah I met Ollie's birth parents once. They got good vibes, but those cats seriously couldn't get along. Mad that Skid Mark would have such a sharp kid.

Oh kid, you didn't know about Ollie's birth dad? It's Father Winter. I'm joking cat.

Yeah Crispin adopted Ollie many years before they moved to Nordhaven. The kid's got good vibes.

From Crispin Black, you can hear:

Jayde didn't think their fling would lead to anything, just some fun…few years later Skid shows up at my door asking if I could look after his child. Never saw myself as the fatherly type before, but that's my kid now.

… Yeah I know the birth parents. I still talk with the mother from time to time, I keep her updated on how Ollie is doing and what not.

Why of course, I found baby Ollie in a silver conch I fished up from the deep seas. It's mad what can come from the water. Take care of your oceans or they'll give you kids.

From Ollie Mark, you can hear:

It's funny. People say I look like them. I've never properly met them, but I don't really mind. Crispin is the only parent I need.

Only thing I know for sure is that they both skidded out of my life without much hesitation.

A stork brought me to Crispin on a rainbow cloud made of jellybeans. Wait you actually believed that?

I find it interesting that they went with Jayde and Skid instead of, like, Mazuiko and Skid. I could probably say more about this if provoked, but my opinion at the moment is just: meh.

I think it's funny that they canonized Skid's name into First Name: Skid, Last Name: Mark. Imagine being born, your parents looking at you, and deciding you shall forever be known as: Shit Stain. (I know Skid Mark also refers to the mark that wheels leave behind in some instances. Because skateboarder. But it's pretty clear to me that both meanings of the phrase were probably intended.)

The Loden family (which contains Gramma Hattie) also has their own unique secret-thing. A notable part of their household is that they all share one thing in common: they hate two Sims, Felix and Bruno Hoffman. Obviously, there’s a family feud. However, it’s kind of a boring one?

The incident is supposed to be a stolen recipe for Jellybean Cookies. Boring but ok. Both the person who supposedly stole the recipe and the person who accused them of stealing the recipe are both dead and don't even have graves... :/

As a side note, I was disappointed to discover that, despite implementing a new 'Family Recipe' feature, they didn't give the Lodens a family recipe! [Pointing] Missed potential! [Pointing] Missed Potential!

Anyways, for brevity’s sake, here’s all the dialogue referring to the feud. I don’t know who says what, and I don't care to know either.

I've never gotten the full story from Gramma Hattie. Maybe if she swallowed her pride and talked to Bruno they could be friends again.

They were quite rude. I tried to be nice, but it was just pointless! I even heard they used to call us the Great Cookie Fraudsters.

My dad once gave my son Erik a secret recipe for the Jellybean Cookie. Then I saw the same cookie sold by the Hoffmans. I wonder if it's got something to do with how the feud started?

I'm not sure how it all started, but they upset my dad and then had the gall to not show up to his funeral!

My mom said they used to be tight, like family. Then one day they were like sworn enemies. I was very young at the time, I only vaguely remember some shouting about a cookie.

We used to be good friends, we even looked after Nora when she was young. Then Hattie's late husband called my wife a thief and cut all ties. I still can't believe he'd do that.

I miss them a lot. But Hattie's late husband called my wife a liar. I felt bad not going to the funeral but…I was pretty sure they hated me anyway, and all over that stupid cookie.

Calling us thieves, they're the real thieves. I can't believe the gall of them! We came up with the Jellybean Cookie, not them. It's OUR cookie.

It was difficult to trust them. They were nothing but catty with us after our families stopped hanging out. Why should we have been nice to them?

I used to play at theirs all the time. I don't know how they started arguing, I just remember one day I was minding my business, eating my cookie, and they looked at me in absolute disgust.

We were good friends once. I don't know how it spiralled so badly…but they were so spiteful to steal our recipe!

I don't know the whole story, but they hurt my grandparents. They called my grandma a thief. I don't know if my grandpa Bruno has it in him to reconcile with them.

RL and Sims update post + a thank you note

(Warning: long post ahead, read at your own risk).

I wrote this post to thank you guys for all the likes and comments you keep leaving on my posts, even though, as you may have noticed, I can't be here as often as I used to. Real life has taken over almost completely, as I think it should. There are too many things going on, with me, my family, my country, even my sims and other games, lol.

I'm not going to bore you with daily life problems, much less with sad and depressive stuff, or with previews of a story I don't know when/if I'll ever finish, the only thing I can tell you is that I'm still busy with a lot of work, (fortunately) and family stuff; plus, I (finally) started going to therapy (yes, at my age). So right now, I'm juggling even more things than I already was.

And so I wanted to thank you for sticking with me, for continuing to read the chaotic stories of my wacky characters without judging them; thank you as well for each and every message you have sent to my inbox, be it questions, or flowers and love; and to all of you who continue to tag me both on sims stuff and cute games, knowing that I most likely won't be able to answer you, really, thank you for continuing to think of me. Your messages soothe my heart in difficult moments, and I wish to answer them all, I just don't know when I will be able to do that, hopefully someday.

Now, my sims story. For those of you who might remotely still be interested, I'm currently revising the next few episodes of Time Traveler which I wrote earlier this year. To be honest, I don't know when they will be ready, I just know the story goes on and as soon as I have reviewed these episodes, I'll start taking the pictures. When will they be published? Frankly, I don't know. It could be early 2025, but no promises, as I don't have much free time on my hands now. I manage to write in the evenings, but in-game photo shoots are quite time consuming and have to be done in peace and privacy, of which I don't have much at the moment. So, if I do decide to publish these episodes, it will likely be early next year, and at a rather slow pace.

About my gameplay, in Sims 4 we will continue with the Wilsons until the end of the season (coming soon), and then we will take a small break. As for The Sims 3, we just finished Patrick's story in Bridgeport, so now we'll go back with The Cho Brothers. First, we'll take a brief trip to Lucky Palms with Terence and Cynthia Cho; then we'll spend a rather long time in Hidden Springs and Starlight Shores, to see what has happened with Tyron, the eldest of the Cho brothers. And last but not least, we'll go back to Uni with Dale and Kelly, who I hope will FINALLY graduate this year, hahaha.

Anyway, I just wanted you to know that I am not gone (yet), that if one day I decide to retire I will make a special post about it, I won't leave without saying goodbye, but that day seems far away at least for the moment. 

Now, regarding Inzoi…

I admit Inzoi has captured my interest. As usual, I'm late to the comment party, but I still want to put my two cents about this amazing game. Seeing the trailers and all those beautiful Inzois created by other simmers got me so excited, and at the same time, terribly frustrated to see that the demo didn't contain any gameplay. I need to actually play the game to give an opinion on it! So far it looks beautiful, though I must say that the character creator disappointed me because the sliders are Sims 4 style, which I've always found a bit complicated, I'll forever prefer the Sims 3 sliders, but hey, I had a lot of fun creating my own Inzois.

Hopefully the graphics and gameplay are as good as seen in the previews and its developers won't “break” it into multiple or turn the into a malfunctioning cash cow like EA did with The Sims 4, and to a certain extent, also with the Sims 3 in its time. I hope with Inzoi they'll go for a complete game, no matter if it's expensive, if I consider it is worth it, I'll give them my money as soon as it comes out.

That being said, it is important for me to clarify that I will not abandon The Sims 3 (or even Sims 4 though I don't play it much) for Inzoi. Ever. Neither do I plan to recreate my sims OCs/games in it, because my sims are exactly that, sims. If I ever get to play Inzoi it will be with entirely new characters, although I confess, I did try to reproduce two of my most beloved sims (a boy from the future and a college girl who is a model *wink*) and they turned out pretty well, but nowhere near as adorable as they look in The Sims 3. Plus, the environments in which those two OCs currently move could not be reproduced in Inzoi, at least as far as I know.

Okay, enough of Inzoi. In short: I'm not gone, I'm still here, I'm still reading all your stories, only at a much slower pace, two or 3 simblrs per day at the most. I'm going to read them all, just bear with me, and forgive me again if I don't always comment. Sometimes I don't even have the time or the energy for that. Believe me, 2024 has been an intense year in every possible way, sometimes I really need a break, but I try to be around and will always find a way to keep in touch, even if at times it seems like I'm nowhere to be found, I'll get back to you at some point.

Do not play InZoi [ A review

So I have been posting some Sims 4 content on tumblr for awhile and I will always happily admit that there's a lot that the Sims team and EA does wrong. Hell, I still actively think of EA as the literal devil of modern gaming. The Sims4 (beyond the free base game) is expensive if you want all of the content currently available (buying it during sales is better but you're still putting down quite a bit of change for a single game). That said, I've seen some things I really like from the Sims team when it comes to diversity, inclusion, and community engagement.

The Sims4 team has paid creators in the past, gone out of their way to work with POC for culture themed packs, and has been adding more inclusive details for disabled representation (far from perfect but the fact that there's options at all is an improvement over none). The Sims team also regularly listens to what the community wants when it comes to future packs. They're not the best at fixing bugs, that's true and some of those bugs are absolutely game breaking and absolutely should be fixed. But the fact that the devs are willing to listen at all is pretty impressive in the current gaming atmosphere.

How does this stack up to InZoi, the game touted as the Sims rival? Well... other than graphically? The Sims still comes out on top.

Granted, Inzoi is still in early access and thus some buggy aspects can be overlooked. But what can't be overlooked is Inzoi's reliance on Ai. The game doesn't mention it and you'll need to actually read the creative license to learn about it, but Inzoi (particularly now as of early access release) RELIES on player created content and that content WILL be used to train Ai models per the creative license agreement. Everything you make in the game and upload to it will be used to train Ai and can be reproduced and disseminated by the company behind InZoi. The license does state that you will own the creative rights to your work but they will also have the right to reproduce it, make derivative works based off of it, and again USE IT TO TRAIN MACHINE LEARNING MODELS AKA AI.

There is also generative Ai options in the creative modes of the game. Now using Ai has always been apart of gaming when it comes to certain aspects such as filling in spaces of loading graphics (Avowed), and npc/enemy actions (Sims and many many others). And I'm not objecting to InZoi using Ai for the Zoi's actions themselves or background functions. But using Ai for creative features in the game itself? That I object to. Using Ai to generate textures does not mean pulling a random texture out of a hat. It means using stolen image data to cobble together a texture that kinda looks different. Instead of, you know, paying an artist or developer to create more textures for the game (something the Sims actually does).

If you object to Ai taking away jobs from artists then you should object to this game. I certainly do.

If you object to a company relying on unpaid player created content to make up the bulk of your in-game inventory and content, then you should object to this game. Which I do. And I don't mean this as 'oh I don't like the base game options so I'll make some stuff myself that I like better' which is often the case with Sims players/modders (totally justified the Pet items are atrociously ugly imo). I mean that there is so little base game content in Inzoi that you are practically obliged to either create your own content or to use content created by other players. And that's the part that feels predatory to me, particularly in a game I paid $40.00 for. I paid $40.00 for a sims pack and I got far more content than is available in InZoi as it stands right now.

The graphics and Zoi creation is better than the Sims. Personally I don't like more realistic art styles like InZoi features but that's a personal preference (it hit uncanny valley territory for me and deeply reminds me of Second Life aesthetic [IYKYK]). But I can say that yeah, there's some more freedom in creating your Zoi than there is when creating a Sim. That said the options for Black hair are abysmal and while they state that they have LGBTQ+ play-ability that is not reflected in the actual state of play as Zois react negatively to same-sex attracted player Zois.

There are also functions that just do not work or are entirely missing from the game despite seeming to be included such as the ability to scale objects or the option to turn off the 'snap to grid' function [called 'snap on' in game].

A lot of these gripes may change over time as InZoi is still in early access. But the most egregious sin of using Ai and training Ai off of player created content I don't expect to change and that's the real problem here. Particularly as that is not advertised anywhere in the game, it's trailers, or it's advertising content. Which I suspect in intentional considering how much people dislike the use of Ai in creative spaces.

Maybe InZoi will get better and beat out the Sims. But based off of this start, I doubt it. And based on it's Ai practices I sincerely hope not.

And that's not to say that the Sims team is faultless, as stated above there are a lot of issues with the Sims team and EA in general (seriously EA I fucking hate you, you have killed TWO of my favorite franchises and if I could get away with it and wasn't a pacifist I would be lighting stuff on fire). But as far as comparisons go, The Sims 4 is still far superior to InZoi and unless the InZoi team makes some serious changes I don't see that changing.

That's not to say I don't want other life sim style games either. I do! More competition is always better when it comes to breeding innovation and evolution in any medium. But I won't be playing InZoi or recommending it to anyone over the Sims any time soon. I still have some hopes for a few other life sim style games coming out that I'm eager to try and play. But I wasn't super enthusiastic about InZoi from the start and having played it (and then subsequently asked for a refund) I can say even the little bits I was interested in I was let down on.

TLDR; Don't buy this game it uses Ai to avoid paying artists and your original work will be stolen and used to train Ai models.

From the charts, Aisha does get jealous and possessive too! (It's not as much as Ren lol ) When I eventually draw the comic I have planned for Ren & Aisha's day 2 date, her initial insecurities do stop her from confronting Olivia. She does get hurt by it especially since Olivia is conventionally attractive & skinny ....guys that look like Ren usually go for that....Aisha has previous trauma of crushing on people only for them to go for a conventionally attractive person...YEAH just all of the messy mess ...just lots of insecurity and negative thoughts goin on in poor Aisha's head >.<

However, as their relationship grows and Ren validates her and becomes a better boyfriend, her insecurities are settled for the time being. If anyone else were to flirt with Ren, she does try to stop it immediately by gently hugging his arm and leading them away from the flirterer (that's not a word lol). She's usually assertive if that person keeps pushing it, "This is my boyfriend, he's taken." But usually by that point, Ren will step in and make it clear Aisha is the only one for him.

Heck in some cases, she will kiss or makeout infront of the flirter, though this is usually brought on by a spur of random confidence or she's drunk.

She's not comfortable with PDA, at most she enjoys hand-holding and brief cheek kisses, but that's it.

Affection through actions: She enjoys gift giving such as crocheting tiny plushies for Ren (ex: strawberries, roll cake, Ren, herself, etc), drawing things for Ren, walking to him first always if he's in a crowded room, rubbing his hand when she can tell he's nervous (or when she's nervous), cooking for him, bear hugging him until he's whimpering - just all the normal stuff!!!

For the most part, once Aisha is comfortable with Ren and they see how weird she is XDDD she's pretty dominant in the relationship. She likes playing with Ren from time to time and picking on him. She likes using the nickname puppy and calling him her "pink marshmallow". She still calls him this when Ren becomes comfortable enough to show his true self.

SEX STUFF :o

Her libido is quite high cause she's touch starved AF. Now she's super shy when it comes to sex though, specifically insertion cause she barely uses toys nor her fingers down there. She has like one vibrator and it doesn't even go deep inside her. I'm talking about 30-minute sessions, now they can't do alot of positions cause Aisha isn't very flexible so she is a pillow princess most of the time. Ren does not mind cause they be eating that cat all day! He loves it when she sits on him and when her whole body weight is suffocating him.

Despite the many dom! Redacted fics there are, i hc he's still a big puppy for his angel and enjoys being called puppy. That's her puppy pookie! Big cuddle sessions that start with Aisha playfully biting his ear and end up with both of them passed out in afterglow.

Redacted, being the very forward person that he is, ALWAYS has his hands on some part of her body at all times. Has Aisha sitting in his lap while he's working (and she's drawing or playing on her switch), him cuddling into her neck while she's cooking, their hand on the small of her back while they're walking past her and resting his palm on her thigh while he's driving her to places.

Storytime of how I shifted?? I think?? help????

very messy and quite long and detailed storytime of how i (probably?) shifted but didnt know that until i wrote it down lol

i went to sleep at 1am affirming for a little bit, but ngl it made me more tired and bored but unable to fall asleep (i ONLY fall asleep imagining fake scenarios lol). i woke up at around, actually dunno but i think it could be 6? and before i woke up i was in some kind of half-dream half-aware state, honestly i have no idea how to explain it and i don't remember it that well anymore (although i know the things that happened actually were "real" and not a dream). btw i affirmed that my subconscious knows and will help me shift which is something i haven't affirmed before.

when i woke from that i had this immediate thought that i can try to shift now because of the state i was in (idk myself tbh it was some kind of realization i had then, maybe it was pure awareness lol) so i instantly started affirming stuff like "i am pure consciousness" or whatever and the very next moment i had INSANE symptoms (i know shifting can be instant without symptoms), i felt everything spiral around me and it was so weird but not uncomfortable (although i got scared for a sec), then it disappeared and i felt normal again, just back to lying in my bed

AND OH GOD I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING???

so like i said, i went to bed at 1, before i was playing sims 4 and building a house for my DR so i can visualize easier (i cant decide how to set the furniture in my room lol) and when i went to bed my boyfriend also decided to stop working (he works on a computer) and go to sleep with me, so we both lied down, i affirmed a bit, imagined fake scenarios, fell asleep, and woke up from that half-asleep state blah blah blah well i woke up ALONE on the bed, i was lying in the middle of it and i knew i was alone in the bed and i could hear my bf typing on his computer, basically - still working, honestly i have no idea what time was it (i thought it was sometime between 3 and 6 although i actually have no idea anymore and i cant even assume it because it [my bf working at night] didnt happened in this cr). i thought i was in my CR when this happened but apparently not (and im sure it wasnt a dream)

i just asked my bf if he woke up at night to do something on his pc (sometimes he does when hes sending a big file overnight and wakes up to turn computer off), well he told me he didnt so that means he was in the bed with me the whole night and it also wasnt in the morning/noon when he woke up and went back to working, it was before that.

btw excuse me for messy writing but its the excitement and realization lol, and im pretty sure no one will read this anyway ⛓️🔪🩸

back to the topic, i woke up from the weird state, affirmed, the world spiraled, it went to normal, i affirmed again, spiraled again and i think it happened 3 times, every time i had those symptoms i couldnt hear the world around me and when the symptoms were gone i couldnt hear my bf typing and when i heard it for like 3rd time i was kinda upset that the symptoms are teasing me lol and that im still in my CR (probably wasnt because in that reality my bf was working while in CR he was sleeping with me) and i guess i just fell back asleep disappointed although happy i at least had symptoms.

my theory is that i was shifting to a very similar reality, maybe to the past or future, where my bf is working while im sleeping and i wasnt aware of that and then i shifted back to my CR?

Okay, so. Sorry I have quite a few questions about the dating sim!

1: will you have to pay for it?

2: will it be on a website or like an actual app you have to download?

3: any updates for the little sprites or any updates in general

4: how close are you to finishing?

1. The game will be completely free to play though donations are possible, some of these questions have been answered in my #FAQ

2. The game will have to be downloaded on phone or desktop as it has many assets that would not run on browser, unless I change the format of it from ren'py to something else, which seems possible too.

3. The sprites for Leo and Donnie are completely finished, however, due to time constraints (My personal life including work and other various projects) I am considering making simple sketch sprites for each turtle for the beta first, so that the game can be played without the fully finished assets.

4. Though the script of the game for each turtle is mostly developed, programming all different options, all effects of the game, and etcetera, is not quick work, and it is only me working on it, so it will not be finished soon, I also have the Leo x Reader Anastasia interactive fic which at this point runs completely as a dating sim already.

In fact, despite it being a Leo x reader, Donnie has been added as a romanceable character in the Anastasia AU fic, it makes me think that to accelerate the process of the ROTTMNT dating sim I could change the format to match the Anastasia fic instead, however, if I don't do that then it will take longer.

Again, this game is a very tough process and there are many things in my real life preventing me from dedicating as much time as I would like for it, but help, especially with the programming of the game is always welcome.

Once the script is fully finished I will start the coding, but due to the amount of options I am adding it is still a work in progress.

I haven't touched the rain world sims 2 save in a while but I have however been playing a sims 4 legacy challenge of all the rain world slugcats in chronological order religiously so I'd thought I'd recap some memorable things that has happened so far (I'm on gen 4/Hunter currently) because I'm bored on a long car ride currently.

Gen 1: Spearmaster

I made spearmaster a vampire because I thought it was fitting and also made them live in Tomarang so I could do the secret stuff cause they're the messenger or whatever. And also build Looks to the Moon and Five Pebbles.

Spearmaster found a lover named Marielle because I got bored and opened a dating app. And then accidentally murdered her. As in they got really thirsty and their girlfriend was right there and um. I guess she was overheating or something cause the moment spearmaster was done sucking all the juices out of their girlfriends scrumptious, bare, blood filled neck, she immediantly died. Thankfully she stuck around as a ghost but their relationship was never really the same. They got to do some freaky stuff in the coffin during Marielles funeral though.

And then Looks to the Moon was born. Sort of. It was originally Five Pebbles but he was so fucking ugly and his voice sounded like the nerd emoji so i forcibly cheated her to be a girl (which is really hard to do to servos by the way) and made her Moon. And then Five Pebbles was made a bit later. And oh my god these motherfuckers could not get along.

He refused to say anything nice to anyone and his life goal was to make everyone in his households life hell.

Gen 2: Artificer

Arti was a decently good kid. She was however basically raised by Moon exclusively because no one else wanted to deal with her shit. She did very good in school and graduated early and immediantly moved out. She went to university and became a scientist and got abducted by aliens at least 12 times, had 2 kids that died blah blah blah. Oh and five pebbles getting into a fist fight with Santa Claus, which he lost. Looks to the Moon still gets calls from Santa asking for relationship advice.

Artificer had a midlife crisis after her kids death and moved to another house and quit her job to become a criminal and then became a serial killer, targetting no one in particular but she did make sure geoffrey landgraab in particular didnt see the light of day again for no reason in particular.

Gen 3: Inv

Clearly, artificer isnt in the right mind to be having any more kids. And she didn't. But, I did however find out that although servos cant get pregnant normally, if a male servo gets abducted by aliens he may come back pregnant. And someone had previously invented the alien abduction device.

And then Five Pebbles gave birth to a sweet little boy named Sofanthiel.

What a good father.

Inv and his dad did not get along. No matter what happened if he tried to talk to Five Pebbles at all hed just get yelled at. Not to mention he is the reincarnation of Spearmaster - could you imagine dying and waking up and you've reincarnated as the son to your worst enemy? needless to say they were confused out of their mind. And also angry. Not that they remembered that for long.

Inv then grew up to become a highschool dropout who streams videogames and lives off his dad and aunts paycheck. And also a massive WHORE. There were of course signs throughout childhood.

He kept one boyfriend throughout highschool and into his adulthood (and later married him) but he was doing it with several other people every other day. He even got this one girl pregnant in highschool.

And then later he found this sweet couple after moving to strangerville and banged both of them.

And then found out they were rhe parents of the girl he got pregnant in highschool.

Then he finds out his husband actually thinks hes absolutely repulsively ugly and they get a divorce and he finds a new wife.

Who turns out to be the aunt of the girl he got pregnant in highschool.

This was not planned.

He screwed the entire family.

Gen 4: Hunter

I haven't gotten far yet, theyve only just moved out onto a farm and have become a werewolf. And nothing's really happened but everytime they go to school they get violently bullied by invs super senior ex who also still blows up invs phone with mean words about their new partners. "I bet that's just a rebound" It's been years, please get over it, Wolfgang.

Unfortunately things got too canon and Hunter nearly died to a tummyache I had to cheat away so I could actually play with them and them not die due to illness after being a teen for 3 days.

No, it did not let me visit the doctor.

Mini VITD Sims Lookbook (Largely Alice Focused Edition)

Hi all -- I ended up downloading and playing with some more Victorian and Victorian-esque CC for Sims 4 last Saturday, looking for some new looks for my Valicer In The Dark versions of Victor, Alice, and Smiler (mainly Alice, as per the title). And, as I'm still getting the next Chill Valicer Save update ready, I figured I'd share the results, in case any of you were interested/wanted some more CC to download! Here we go:

First up, we actually have something that I downloaded from someone’s lookbook post for their Alice Sim a little while ago (I'm afraid I don't remember whose at this point ^^;) – a conversion of Alice’s London dress from Alice: Madness Returns! As in, one Mimoto-Sims ripped this dress straight from the files of that game (along with a bunch of others) and turned it into an outfit in Sims 4! :D I’ve been looking for this for a while, and I’m quite pleased with it, though it is a little weirdly shiny – and if you think Alice suddenly looks a LOT thinner than usual in this dress, she is. Apparently I didn’t make my Sim Alice underweight enough! I think I prefer my Sims 4 version having a waist that doesn’t look like it could snap in half at any moment, though. XD

Okay, onto the CC I actually downloaded on Saturday, with Alice modeling the Ever Elegant Blouse v2 and the Rather Ravishing Skirt v2 from Gilded Ghost’s New Woman set! I ended up pairing these two together because, with the apron, I thought this made another good “maid” Alice outfit – though she looks like she’s working somewhere fancier than Houndsditch in this set, that’s for sure. (Now I’m tempted for her to somehow get her hands on a maid’s outfit from the Van Dort estate when her and Smiler’s attempt to return Victor to his parents ends up in them robbing them for being shitheads who don’t care about their son...) But it’s a nice look for her, and I am THRILLED that this and the other tops from that set worked with her necklace! :D Seriously, so many outfits hide that necklace, and given that it’s suppose to be her wearing Lizzie’s room key, I’d like it to be visible more often than not!

Case in point, the necklace is also visible in this outfit, which is Alice wearing the Jacket Jubilee top with the Perfectly Plain skirt from the New Woman set. This set I just thought looked nice on her, and made a nice – semi-formal? This feels fancier than casual, but not fancy enough to be formal. Like, maybe this is something she’d wear if the gang were heading to the Golden Plum for a nice dinner, or to a park for a trio date. That sort of thing. Not “fancy neighborhood” wear, but a step above hanging around the house.

By contrast, Alice is definitely not leaving the house in this outfit. XD This is dzifasims’s Bespoke Corset, paired with a plain Get Famous skirt that I thought looked like a shift or underskirt (I thought the corset CAME with one, but apparently I was mistaken). It’s nice to have a plainer corset that doesn’t look like it was bought for sex purposes, unlike the base game one. Though I do like the “bought for sex purposes” one too. XD Alice probably prefers this one, though – it’s more her style, and I think it makes good underwear for her.

Onto the masc stuff, with Smiler showing off pandorasimbox’s Azariah’s Sacksuit. I have mixed feelings on this – the basic shape of the suit is okay, and I liked pairing it with the bowler, but as per usual this suit did not have any of the right swatches I needed for Smiler. The problem is, people do a lot of muted colors for Victorian-style clothes, and even the ones that include brighter swatches tend not to do a lot of yellow. Meaning I often end up with poor Smiler wearing beige because that’s as close as I can get. *sigh* I mean, I do rather like the look on them – they kind of look like they’re auditioning for a Charlie Chaplin movie – but it’s gotta be BRIGHTER, you know? *sigh* I gotta learn how to recolor clothes... (Also, amusingly, the boots are actually from Moschino – they actually look Victorian enough when you cover up the tops with a long pant.)

Fortunately, while [LonelyBoy]’s TS4 Solardius Outfit doesn’t have a yellow swatch, it DOES have a black swatch with gold decorative details, and that I can work with – especially when paired with the High School Years shoes I love so much for Smiler in the “black with yellow stitching” swatch. :) Not sure how much I like the high collar on Smiler, but this is certainly not a bad look for them!

And it CERTAINLY isn’t a bad look for Victor, who suits that high collar much better. XD As you can see, Victor got the nice dark blue swatch with the red tie, which is kind of the inverse of his tie/vest color scheme in the movie. XD But it suits him, and again, this seems like a nice, semi-formal outfit he might wear for an outing with his partners where he wanted to look a little more put together. :)

And there you have it – me playing with my favorite trio like dolls again. XD What can I say, it’s fun to dress them up in new outfits! And these particular sessions help inform me of what I’d like my trio to wear in the Valicer In The Dark universe. Since, you know, I’m pretty well obsessed with that these days. XD So don’t @ me, downloading CC is writing research, okay? Okay. :p

Personal update 😃

I have not done a personal update for quite some time, so here it is! Today, I dreamed that it was suddenly the 1st of December and I had nothing prepared for my advent calendar yet and was feeling in over my head and thinking "Do I really want to do this again?!" Maybe my brain telling me to actually prepare patterns ahead of time this year and to start early? 🤔 I'll keep that in the back of my mind. I actually finally got Sims 4 running (let's see how long until the next patch breaks everything, maybe I have a few days left). I only want to play with tons of mods, which break all the time and are a pain to update, so I only do that procedure once or twice a year. When I actually get to play, I really like to immerse myself for a while until it is all over again. The funny thing is that I actually have fun playing because so many aspects are new to me (having fun in TS4 is almost unheard of, but apparently it can really happen 😆). Building and CAS are so much fun too! I'm not exactly a gameplay blog and not sure how many of you want to see TS4 on here anyway, so I doubt there will be many pics. I get super frustrated whenever I try to make sims in TS3 CAS, I guess I do not have some of y'all skills or the right CC at times (or do not know how to use it properly). In Sims 4, everything can be solved with a few skin overlays and I feel the weird head shape proportion thing that is so off in Sims 3 does not apply there, which makes everything easier. I do miss patterns though 🥲 I have been pretty preoccupied with other hobbies lately, I've been on a serious style rediscovery with my best friend, we discovered this style system called the Style Key and it is all about giving yourself permission to try out new things and your personal needs when choosing styles, which is really refreshing to all the systems that tell you "you cannot wear that with your body type!" So I've been trying things I did not actually dare to wear, like cute/playful outfits in pastel shades. I may wear the styles now that teenage me was too shy to wear and it feels great! I do not care anymore what other people may think about it. I recently discovered those colorful chunky plastic rings which surprisingly look good on me. I always felt like I could never really make jewelry work on me, and tried the tiniest minimalist pieces because everything felt "too much", but I have never tried the other extreme, the big chunky stuff because I told myself "that could never work". Turns out that trying out stuff instead of limiting myself feels really great and yields surprising results! And I feel more confident too because my outfits are fun and make me happy, and I am more relaxed if I feel happy too. In the Style Key system, I think I'm a Ruby (left-down quadrant) and I think the archetype "Spicy Girl Next Door" fits pretty nicely for me. The biggest takeaway for me is the realization that outfits have to "feel right" for me, not for anybody else and I do not dress to please anyone, but to help me feel good in my own skin and take into account my comfort needs and feelings on that day when I choose what to wear. The Style Key is not a system that tells you exactly what to wear, but it helps you figure out what you need your style to do for you and go from there. It's a bit daunting to get into because it is really so different from other systems and includes rather abstract theory/unusual concepts that are not really that intuitive, but the videos on the youtube channel really help to explain those concepts.

I also still work on some Python projects, but they're still a long way off from amounting to anything. But it's where I can use my problem-solving skills and just tinker around. I just really need something to bite my teeth into every now and then and that is perfect for it. 😊

i just popped off with this one (in my opinion LOL) and ive never been able to create anything like it since.

a few other notable mentions from the sims 3:

the "finn" one i still love to this day, i was trying out more simple editing, and i think it turned out just how i wanted it. the elodie in the field one is something i wanted to recreate for ages, and im very proud of the final product! i find that it takes a while to learn to love all your posts, even the ones you hate, but im getting better! the last one is from the collab i did with three of my besties, and i absolutely adored how it came out. it was one attempt at doing something proper photography-esque and im really proud of my attempt!

this one above is probably one you guys havent seen, but i did post it on reddit. i try not to post my gameplay because i tend to get bored easily and it never lasts long. or, as is the case a lot in sims 3, the save gets too laggy to play. i think with this save, it was a bit of both, but i still adored this wedding picture of my two sims.

and from sims 4 (weirdly quite a few more?? i thought i would like more of my sims 3 posts but guess not)

the statue photo is one of my all time faves. when i was editing, i was like, this is actually awesome jessie im so proud of you. and the top one was eli and elodie in sims 4, and i just loved the lighting and elodie's hair flowing. if you have any pics you like of mine, id love to hear...

thank you to both again for asking me to do this, i feel like looking back on your favourites gives you a lot more confidence about what you can do. a reminder that despite what my thoughts keep telling me, im not so horrible at this, and i can be proud of things that ive made. i feel very inspired, so hopefully maybe i can produce something...but first assignments, UGH!
