ATEEZ AS FRAT GUYS
Ot8 x F. Reader Content warning: Sexual language
kookinglikeachef: Was originally writing this for “The Sex Lives of College Guys” ff but I don’t think I’ll be doing it anymore because of internal doubts🥲
Hongjoong:
Obviously the fraternity president
He runs shit in and out of the frat house
Takes gender and theory studies courses
And bagged a lot of partnerships with local businesses for fundraising
He had to convince the dean many times not to expel certain members
*Cough* SanGi *cough*
He can be a bit of a snob and a little uptight
Sets strict drinking limits and instruct that the house is intact the next morning
20 minutes in and he’s convincing everyone to climb the chimney
Can usually handle his alcohol but when he gets piss drunk
He’s Debby Ryan-ing at every girl that talks to him
Seonghwa:
Alpha nerd
He only cares about his LEGOs and turning his assignments in on time
Locks himself in his room when there’s a party
Because he just got his new Star Wars set
Eventually joins halfway through
Only to judge everyones never have I ever scandals
But they won’t ever get one out of him
“Never have I ever been to a sex party”
Please he HOSTED and ORGANIZED
Laughing in his head cause not a single soul will ever know about it
Not even his members
And if you’re wondering how no one will find out?!
Well he’s got a fallback plan that proves he was at his fraternity in his room
During said day and said times
BUILDING HIS DAMN LEGOS
He’s also the one that take care of his brothers after a huge party
Probably the only reason the entire house hasn’t gone to shit tbh
Yunho:
The one with the girlfriend
They’ve been together since the second year of high school
And got into the same college
Still going four years strong
He’s majoring in computer engineering
So his servers are not the only thing that can sustain a long uptime *wink, wink*
His hobbies are taking photos of his girlfriend
Or trying any and every kink in the book with her
MULTIPLE PREGNANCY SCARES
Beer pong king
If anyone tries to hit on him he will not let them finish a sentence without making it clear he’s taken
Doesn’t mean that he dislikes getting attention from people that aren’t his girlfriend, though
Sometimes he’d flirt back
Says it’s not cheating if nothing physical happens
Definitely disregards his girlfriend’s feelings about it
He can be a jerk sometimes
Yeosang:
1stly
He don’t wanna be here
He don’t even know how he got into a frat in the first place
Yet he unexpectedly fit in well
Truthfully, he’s the one that’s attracting all the ladies to the frat house
Like roaches
The sorority girls LOVE him
And I mean they want him so bad
As a sister AND to get eaten out by him
Even though he only ever hooked up with one girl
She spread the news like jelly on bread and he’s suddenly that Pod the Rod type (game of thrones lmao)
Pretends to not understand why girls are in love with him
When his members ask him about it,
“I don’t know her” he’ll shrug
It’s always the quiet ones
San:
He’s definitely a legacy
Comes from generations of mischief
I solemnly swear that he’s up to no good
Also comes from money but doesn’t like to brag about it
He’s getting a Bachelor of Arts degree
And is a strip poker enthusiast
Never has a shirt on
He fucks every other week but not-so-secretly just wants to fuck his best friend
Bro bonding time is his favorite time
He loves to talk feelings and makes sure his members are okay
And actually enjoys the charity events
Even volunteers as the mascot
And daydreams about what it would be like to fuck his best friend in it
He and Wooyoung are infamous for their coma-inducing
“Frat punch”
The recipe is only known to them
But anyone who attends their parties are deeply warned about it
He forces people to listen to his drunk rants about how much he’s in love with his best friend of 12 years
Then blacks out under the table hugging a bottle with her picture taped to it
It’s not creepy
He’s just down bad
Still shows up early to morning lectures in blacked out sunglasses
And gets scolded by his best friend
Then he remembers when he told someone that he’s in love with his best friend
Thinks it may have been her
Mingi:
Mingki is the shy one
Or at least that’s what he wants people to believe
No guy on campus likes bringing their girl around him because
HE. WILL. TAKE. THEIR. BITCH.
And he doesn’t even mean to
But he’s ultimately sweet and will never turn down sex
He sleeps around a lot as well as sleeping through classes
Missed and failed his exams
So his grades aren’t as hot as him
Gets told a lot that if he really applied himself
He’d be a great business major
But he doesn’t really gaf
Everyone thinks he’s failing
But he passes with flying colors
Did I mention that he fucked the dean’s wife because she promised to convince her husband not to expel him?
Wooyoung:
Everyone on campus knows about this mother fucker right here
Friends with literally everybody
He majors in history
And is THE life of the party
If he’s not there it’ll be lame af
Good thing he never misses one, though
And still manages to keep up clean grades
He gets invited to other fraternity parties
Thinks he’s going to die at every party
Genuinely believes that the hash slinging slasher is out to get him
That’s just a result of the “Frat Punch”
He does not do relationships
Only has friends with benefits and brags about his favorite ones
Texts “hey big head” whenever he’s horny
And would tag them in fwb memes
He’ll still invite them to hangout with his members
Even after being balls deep in them like five minutes ago
Jongho:
Will deny being in a frat unless you show up outside his door to prove it
Only joined because he heard the rooms are bigger
He does EVERYTHING
From theater to sports to board games with elderly residents
So you know he’s pulling the theater kids and athletes and a classmates auntie
He majors in one of two subjects
Computer Science or Architecture
You see what he does to those apples and watermelons?!
Those hands are God-given
Ask the swim team
At parties, he’s in charge of the playlists
And he sneaks some Wicked in there when everyone’s too drunk to notice
He’s banned from ordering kegs because he kept ordering wine instead
Beats everyone’s ass at pool
Wooyoung likes to hustle people into placing bets on him but he’d just give the money to any charity the sorority might have

These are just initial thoughts, and perhaps I’ll learn something that changes my mind on it, but I’m glad to see Critical Role making the leap to their own subscription service with Beacon.
As a lead in: I’m an attorney that has some background in IP law, though it isn’t what I practice currently. I’ve kept in contact with several active practitioners, particularly those that represent small-time creators either in their own independent practice or via nonprofits. I do not have an extensive Rolodex of IP peers, nor do I spend the money to keep up on IP CLEs. I’m just someone who used to know a ton because I did heavy research and work in that space, and that hasn’t been the case for years.
So here’s my thoughts a bit on the IP angle:
The primary reason I’m happy to see this leap is that CR is taking active steps to keep control over its IP. It’s a boring thing to most people, but when I start paying attention to a specific creator (authors, directors, companies, etc.), I tend to be very attentive to how they use their IP. How freely do they license their marks to partner with other creators to make merch? How often do they allow others to make adaptations or derivatives of their copyrights? What is the quality of those products? What is the supply chain like? Are those third parties objectionable in some way? Were the other parties faithful to the original works or marks? Was this a cash grab or an earnest effort to make something worth the price tag?
Honestly, I like how CR run their business. They have a history of tapping fans and fellow small businesses when making new merch or spinoffs. They embrace the culture of fan-made derivative works, both by featuring fanart/cosplay and by sharing their success. Do you know how rare it is for a company to pay fan artists for their already-made and freely posted work and then sell books of it? Let me be clear: CR bought a limited license from each artist so they could print and sell each work in a physical book, then paid the cost of publishing that book with no guarantee that CR would make that money back, let alone profit. I have a copy of the collector’s edition art books: they’re actually very well made and the packaging definitely cost a pretty penny. That’s not a rainmaker idea, that’s genuinely risking financial loss to sell something people could access for free if they wanted to.
The art books aren’t a one-off either. Darrington Press is CR’s separate LLC for tabletop games. (It’s good business practice to split off companies that handle products in different industries.) CR has also made shows based on those games, and the Candela Obscura series has quite a dedicated audience. Everything about Candela belongs to them: the game itself, the rule book, all the art in the book, the web series based on the game, and merch. It’s so successful that they invested in scheduling a live show for Candela later this month. That’s HUGE.
Contrast that with the distribution of Campaign 1 and the first 19 episodes of Campaign 2. CR cannot host those videos themselves; Geek & Sundry still exists and still holds what I presume to be distribution rights (but I don’t have the contract to review). So G&S gets to host those videos on YouTube and reaps the advertising. I can’t speak to whatever share CR gets from that, but considering that CR is locked out of hosting their own copies of those videos, I doubt it’s much, if any, revenue. (If you’re wondering why CR just didn’t buy those rights back, I ask: what incentive does G&S have to sell something that’s making them money for no cost?)
Knowing that background about G&S, I was wary of CR choosing Amazon to host and distribute The Legend of Vox Machina. Originally, TLOVM was not the plan; CR had a kickstarter for an animated special based on C1. It was only because they blew past the goal that CR was able to make an entire season. The reasonable assumption is that choosing Amazon had to have secured CR additional funding for future seasons of the show, which seems evident from how quickly season 2 was announced, Mighty Nein Animated is also going to be a thing, and that season 3 of TLVOM is scheduled for fall 2024. CR had the option of just doing 1 season and keeping it purely in their control, but going with Amazon meant they could animate more of their works. Animation is expensive. I cannot stress enough how doubtful I am that CR would have been able to afford this many episodes and both campaigns if they had not gone this route. As wary as I was in the start, it paid off, and it’s going well—so far. Hopefully CR doesn’t regret that decision if Amazon tries something sleazy. But, as before, we don’t have the contracts and can’t know how secure CR’s position is if any dispute came up.
CR also partnered with Dark Horse Comics to make Vox Machina comics and Might Nein Origins comics. What’s especially surprising is that each of the cast had a hand in writing the MNO comics for their characters, with Matt listed for multiple. That isn’t very common with comic adaptations. Often times, IP owners let comic companies go ham with minimal oversight. Being listed as one of the authors comes with IP rights that have to be negotiated. That means that Dark Horse had to talk with CR about whether that warrants more or less revenue going to which party in exchange for that—or, alternatively, whether the comic gets made at all. That’s a ballsy move. You think people can just demand to write the comics that a publishing company is going to pay to print? Pffft. CR wanted some creative control, and that is a big ask. However, Dark Horse still has the distribution rights, both digitally and for physical copies. You couldn’t buy the comics from CR until they came out with the library edition, a book bound compilation of 4/8 comics. But the publisher is still Dark Horse; CR is just allowed to sell the book directly from their own site as well.
Contrast that with the novels about CR characters. CR partnered with Penguin Random House to publish novels about Vex and Vax (Kith & Kin), Lucien (The Nine Eyes of Lucien), and Laudna (What Doesn’t Break). Liam and Laura were vocal about having some say in K&K, whereas Madeline Roux said in an interview that she had full control over TNEOL. Both of those novels were narrated with CR voices, but narrating a book doesn’t come with IP rights, it just brings in a paycheck. There’s a lot less IP control in there compared to the comics, but this isn’t abnormal for book publishing. To be blunt, I doubt PRH would have agreed to publish the novels if anyone from CR had been a co-author or had heavy oversight over the author or the editing. I don’t think PRH even considered that as an option. Either an author that has already managed to sell X number of copies or nothing. Creative control over a book a huge ask, asks come with reduced revenue, and switching to books from a web series is already a leap. The fact that Laura and Liam had any say is surprising, really.
That was a long meandering tour of what we’ve seen CR do with its IP. The reason I bring up each of these things is that navigating the way to protect an IP in this space is rife with challenges. Different types of IP warrant different strategies because of the cost involved in creating each medium and the challenges placed by industries that have already sprung up around them. Any time that a third party is tapped to create an IP, it’s usually because they already have the funds and resources to create the work, and CR has to negotiate for revenue, creative control, distribution, and—the big one—who gets to be the owner. These are not easy, quick, or fun conversations, and CR is always going to be the smaller company at the table.
Knowing that, I’m not surprised or worried that CR is creating its own independent subscription service with Beacon. It tells me that they’re being careful with their IP whenever they can. A subscription service means they don’t have to trade away distribution rights or give up ad revenue to a third party. They’re in this for a long term investment, and that requires solid income not tied to third parties that can definitely outspend them in litigation in the event of a dispute. A subscription for bonus content is one of many parts in a diverse revenue stream.
(All that said, this isn’t meant to criticize creators that cant afford to do this type of thing. It took 9 years for CR to get to the point where Beacon is financially feasible and a desirable business decision. They have enough ongoing, popular content to warrant paying for a subscription, and they’ve built sufficient trust with their audience that more will be added. That takes time and an awful lot of money.)
As a final note, I take this step as a sign that CR definitely intends to stick around. This isn’t a move people make when they plan on ending the business after the current campaign. I’m glad to see CR is taking steps to secure their foundation and keep making new content.
I’m sure people will chime in on other issues (cost, content exclusivity, etc.), but I hope my perspective gives an idea of why this sort of thing is good for business generally and why it would be good for CR.

i was thinking of you the other day and your discussions of your ability or lack thereof to visualize things in your mind, because someone asked me who all had been at a gathering, and i answered them by calling up the room in my memory and looking around it to see who was there. and it occurred to me after the fact that i suppose probably not everyone can do that? but i could even tell you at least approximately what everyone was wearing (color, cut, maybe not precise pattern, but the general style, sure). and while i can’t swear to you that it’s 100% accurate because i don’t have a picture to compare it to, i think it’s pretty close.
but now i’m curious - what would your thought process be if you were asked the same question? if you can’t just look around the room in your mind, is the memory interaction-based? or like… voices you remember hearing? or something else?
Well, bear in mind that I haven't got a great memory to begin with -- possibly the ADHD at work, but also there's a condition that's frequently comorbid with aphantasia called Severely Deficient Autobiographical Memory -- people with SDAM have trouble recalling huge chunks of their lives and when they do have recall they often remember it as if they'd been told it, they have no emotional sense attached. For example, I remember a trip I took where I had to do some hard shit and it was really scary, but I don't remember the feeling of being scared, I just remember that I was. I have no idea how long the trip was, no memory of the hotel room, very little memory of doing the scary thing. I know I did it, but there's not a lot of attachment there.
This is not ALWAYS the case -- for example I have extremely fond memories of certain other trips -- but I don't really seem to be able to switch it on or off. Like when I was in Europe, I stayed in an AirBNB in London, but by the time I got to Rome like, five days later, I couldn't remember what it was like. I ended up spending a little time one evening kind of calling up memories of where I stayed in London and in Paris to try and hard-code them into my memory, and that worked, but I also needed the help of photos and tumblr posts I'd made to achieve it. ("What did it even look like? Well -- wait, I cooked some pizzas in the microwave while I was there. The microwave was on the counter, opposite the bed, and -- oh, okay, I remember now.")
So like, I would have no goddamn idea of the majority of people at any given gathering where I attended, but is that SDAM, ADHD, a function of my anxiety in social situations, or the aphantasia? Difficult to say.
I hosted a get-together on Sunday and because I was host and there weren't that many people in attendance I could name them off, but I couldn't tell you what they wore. The last party I attended, a week or two previously, was at a friend's house and it was mostly folks I was at least passingly familiar with, but I am bad with names and so couldn't NAME a lot of the people there -- but for example I could say "Well, the hosts were there, and I spoke with X, Y, and Z, so they were definitely there, but I also spoke with like four other people whose names I didn't get. I dunno what any of them were wearing even though it was a costume party." But yeah to even come up with that I would have to think about when I arrived, walk myself through whatever I remember of the event in linear order, and just note down who I spoke with. If I didn't speak with them, or if I didn't know them well, they didn't exist for me.
So I guess the answer is that my memory isn't visual and also just kinda...isn't there a lot of the time. It's not like amnesia, or the profound brain damage you read about where the person only remembers the last ten minutes or doesn't remember anything past a certain date in their life, but I just haven't got much memory for things. It's why I use a lot of lists and spreadsheets and make yearly photobooks.
My photo archive on my computer goes back to about 1998, and it's sorted by year, but the top level folder all the years are stored in is simply titled "Where I've Been" 'cause I probably wouldn't remember, otherwise.

10 months on the Carnivore Diet - my results
I know back in January I mentioned in a couple of posts that I was trying out the Carnivore Diet. Back then it was still new, and I was doing a bunch of research. Now I’ve been fully on it for 10 months, and it’s been amazing.
What I’m eating:
Meat (mostly beef and pork/bacon), eggs, butter, some cheese (mostly used as a garnish on eggs). I aim for a fat to protein ratio of between 75/25 and 80/20.
Typical breakfast: bacon and scrambled eggs cooked in bacon fat
Typical lunch: Chomp beef sticks or more recently these Greenridge Farm beef snack sticks from Costco that have really clean ingredients. I’ve also done leftovers and breakfast casseroles.
Typical dinner: Beef burger patties with scrambled eggs
What I’m drinking:
Water with electrolytes, Coffee with heavy cream, occasional low-carb alcohol (red wine, whisky, low or no carb drinks like vodka soda)
Supplements:
Bacopa monnieri (500mg capsule, 1/day) for my ADHD, Codeage beef organ supplement (1 capsule per day) as a multivitamin.
Exercise:
Basically none, outside of some walking and some minor weight lifting (biceps, triceps, squats) - nothing strenuous or consistent. I am working now on getting my walking and weightlifting more consistent, along with incorporating some abdominal exercises.
My results:
Weight lost: 50 lbs
Cycle regularity restored
Significantly lighter menstrual cramps
More energy, less anxiety/depression
Better immune system (still get sick occasionally, but much less frequently)
Biggest victory: my cravings for sugar and carbs went away pretty much entirely after about 2 weeks. I now have no desire to go back to the way I used to eat, making this the first diet I’ve ever tried that I‘ve been able to stick with for more than a few weeks, and certainly the first one I think I could stay on indefinitely.
What made this work for me:
The high fat content of my diet is very satiating, which makes it much easier to say no to carbs/sugary snacks. Also, artificial sweeteners actually make you crave sugar, so I cut those as well when I started the diet in January. I think that made a huge difference.
For context, I had NO ability to moderate carbs and sugar before this diet. I had a huge problem with binge eating sugar, especially if there was “free food” (a party, donuts in the staff lounge, etc). On previous diets, I could always come up with an excuse to eat sugar. Somebody’s birthday, I had a long day, it’s just this once and then I’ll be good, etc.
Now it’s not even a temptation.
How I learned about the diet and did my research:
I started with YouTube videos from people like Steak and Butter Gal. She does a lot of videos with recipes and tips for staying consistent, and she also does a lot of collaborations and interviews with doctors who recommend the diet, such as Dr. Elizabeth Bright. I went into researching the diet more for my hormonal health than for weight loss, and Dr. Bright is the expert on hormonal health (especially for women) and thyroid health.
This lead to more videos from different doctors and reading studies (including studies on the “link” between eating red meat and problems like heart disease and cancer, which were poorly done and don’t show what they claim to show).
How I handle social gatherings and holidays:
Everyone who knows me irl knows about my diet by now, either because they noticed my weight loss or because they’ve seen me eat! This means friends and family who are hosting will often ask me if I can eat certain things they’re planning to serve and will try to accommodate me.
It’s not too tough though because most social gatherings with food include some kind of meat, and it’s often “buffet style” so I can skip things I can’t eat. I generally try to avoid processed foods unless I can check the ingredients and make sure they’re free of preservatives, dextrose, sugar, etc, but one of my “cheats” is eating the meats and cheeses from charcuterie boards at parties.
If I suspect I won’t be able to eat much or I’m just not sure, I’ll often eat before I go so I’m not sitting there hungry. Then as long as there’s something I can eat, I can still participate in the social aspect of eating with friends and family.
Why I don’t eat fruits/vegetables:
I will occasionally have small amounts of vegetables, usually as a garnish (like I do with cheese). I also use medicinal herbs in the form of tinctures, capsules, or teas - though I need them much less often now! However, avoiding vegetables for the most part simplifies the diet, reduces my inflammation, and means I don’t have to count carbs like I would on keto.
The foods I eat all have zero or virtually zero carbs, and I know they won’t mess with my digestion or make me feel bad. It’s simple, it’s easy to follow, and I don’t have any real need or craving for the veggies. Occasionally I’ll have a couple pickle slices with my burger patties at a restaurant or some avocado with my bacon and eggs, but that’s about it. Basically, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Please feel free to ask questions and check out the channels and videos I linked above to learn more!
Starting a new diet is obviously tricky this time of year, but January 1st will be here before you know it. If you’re looking to make a change, maybe this could be the thing that works for you like it did for me!

oh i like these posts. hahahahahaha! politics aside, oh well, no actually— i don’t think we can ever put aside politics when it comes to the boys ; I see cpfs sharing posts and commenting on this person’s “greeting” for wyb. and well, you will see why. she is a politician in hongkong.
[Patriotic top star Wang Yibo]
What big day is August 5? Last year, this day was the 12th anniversary of the New People's Party; it was also the birthday of Wang Yibo, a top star in the mainland.
Wang Yibo has a deep connection with Hong Kong. He was born in 1997, when Hong Kong returned to the motherland. I still remember that he sang a song "Stand Up" for Hong Kong on the 25th anniversary of the return; on July 1, 2023, he personally came to Hong Kong to attend the "Greater Bay Area Film and Music Gala" "The Moon Rises in the Bay Area", but unfortunately it did not cause much response at the time.
Although he is not a popular idol of Hong Kong people, friends who pay attention to the mainland entertainment industry know that Wang Yibo is a top star in the mainland entertainment industry; he has extraordinary dancing skills, and his status as the "King of Dance" in the mainland is unquestionable. In addition, he is also engaged in many public welfare undertakings; he recently filmed a documentary series on protecting pangolins as a public welfare ambassador of WildAid. He is an artist with both talent and virtue.
I once asked a public question in the Legislative Council: Since Hong Kong is hosting many events and concerts, the SAR government should actively consider inviting mainland top stars Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo to perform in Hong Kong. I believe that this will attract a large number of fans from the mainland and around the world to support Hong Kong and truly promote Hong Kong's concert economy.
Recently, there are two things about him that impressed me the most. First, his performance in the mainland hit drama "War of Faith" was amazing, and his acting skills have made a great leap forward. I, like many mainland audiences, think that he deserves the "Best Actor". Unfortunately, he was not nominated for the Best Actor in the list of nominees for the Shanghai TV Magnolia Awards earlier. This incident triggered a series of controversies in the mainland entertainment industry. Many people feel sorry for him.
In addition, when he was serving as a torchbearer for this year's Olympics in Paris, he saw a fan holding a mini national flag accidentally dropped it on the ground, and he picked it up spontaneously, showing his sincere respect and love for the national flag. If every young person in Hong Kong can spontaneously love the national flag and national emblem, and understand that it represents the dignity of the country, then it means that Hong Kong's patriotic education has truly succeeded.
In summary, Wang Yibo is an outstanding young man. He went to Korea for training when he was young. After years of hard work, he has mastered first-class dancing skills. His acting skills have also been recognized in recent years. Even though he is a top star with huge commercial value, he is also enthusiastic about public welfare. He is really a role model for artists. I hope that young people in Hong Kong will take him as an example and learn how to be a good young man with both talent and virtue, who loves the national flag and spontaneously safeguards the dignity of the country.
* So i guess it’s now obvious why cpfs like this post so much. it’s because both of them were mentioned. and is is what we’ve been hoping for, that they will be invited to events and probably even work on a project together because they are “positive” artists. and how important it is for them to maintain that image to stay safe in the industry. tho i have to say that it’s not hard for them cause they are good natured people. It’s not an “act”, that is just how they are.
and it’s what we’ve been saying, that these two are one of the best ways for CHN to have some soft power in the international stage. tho i’m sure they will have detractors who will be quick to pull out “evidence” of their government support and use it against them.
also months back, she also posted something about CQL. so yeah, no wonder she got popular with cpfs ⬇️⬇️
China’s “danmei” genre is booming in the West
The article “How to Tell Chinese Stories Well” (July 14) overlooks an important genre that is growing in popularity in the West and is more reflective of contemporary Chinese life than works from decades ago such as Shanghai Life and Death or The Wild Swans.
I am referring to the danmei genre of online novels. Danmei is a term that originated in Japan. This new genre has spawned a number of very successful online novels that have been adapted into extremely popular Chinese TV series and translated into English. A prominent example is The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, which was adapted into the Chinese TV series The Untamed in 2019 and translated into English and is available on Amazon.
Untamed made two young actors, Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo, famous in China. Another very successful work is Erha and His White Cat Shizun, which made the New York Times bestseller list in English. The English version has a wide readership in the West and is available in paperback.
Danmei novels celebrate “boys’ love”, which is officially frowned upon. A major production based on Erha, produced by Tencent, has been shelved. But the genre has a large following in China and abroad, inspiring fan art, fan works and merchandise.
Many danmei online novels are written by women for women. Why are they so popular among Chinese women? Their popularity reflects the frustrations of contemporary Chinese women: they are trapped between traditional, realistic, family-oriented marriage concepts and a desire for romance and true love, as celebrated in danmei novels. Such novels have become a channel for their fantasy and escapism. Surprisingly, these novels have also been loved by Western audiences.
While TV series based on such novels have been banned, animated versions of some popular works are still in production. The resilience of the genre, which is seen by the authorities as a departure from the official "main melody" works, reflects the delicate relationship between the authorities and the artists who create them. Most of the time, the authorities have the upper hand, but the ban has not stopped private enterprises and creative talents from finding space for the genre to thrive. Can we call it the authorities' "one eye open, one eye closed" attitude?
* this is a short but very interesting take on the whole thing. she is not even mentioning how TGCF is so popular in the mainland and continues to do so with it’s donghua and manhua. i guess it’s really one eye open and one eye closed and i hope it stays that way so that this genre will continue to thrive! i’m not holding that much expectation for the live action versions tho.

Where you are know as one of the best prodigy on the Barcelona female team. One day, they host a Barcelona event for the male and female team, to which you get really drunk and end up having a make out session with predi. However, what you don’t realize is that you guys were recorded and was later posted on the internet making it a huge scandal. But in an interview Pedri decided to defend your name saying “I can’t kiss my girlfriend” you may end it with a fluff and/or smut where they both end up together.
fluff
Summary: You make a mistake that everyone knows now, and Pedri defends you.
You and your team won the Champions League, and Barca was throwing a party where both, girls and boys, were invited.
You were so into the moment that you didn't even realise how much you've drunk. You started to dance and enjoy the moment with your girls celebrating the win.
You always loved the boys' team, mostly Pedri Gonzalez, and when you saw him at the party, your heart skipped a beat.
Your friends told you to go talk with him, but you were so scared that he will reject you.
"Have another drink, and you'll forget it tomorrow" said a friend of yours.
"Wish me luck" you told the girls after you took another shot of alcohol.
You weren't thinking straight back then, so you just went to Pedri and kissed his lips.
He was so shocked by your action, but didn't object. He kissed you back with passion. He was sitting on a bar chair so you put one leg toward his.
What you two didn't know was that you were filmed by some boys, drunk as well, and without realising it, they uploaded the video on their story.
You didn't kissed much because after some time you were tired so you just sat on his lap and started to chat.
He was blushing when he looked at you after you two kissed and you smiled at him.
He did have an interest for you for some time, and you are making the first move, which made him happy.
When you saw the news the next day you were so angry with yourself for drinking that much. You didn't even remember, nor Pedri, that you two made out, and the news made you both surprised.
The fans were going crazy, judging you and making bad comments about the way you look. Is like after you touched Pedri's lips, everyone forgot how kind you were before.
Today, Pedri had an interview, and after some time of answering questions about football, the reporter asked him about you.
"A few days ago, you were asked about your love life, and you told us that you are not in love. Yesterday something interesting happened. Have you found a girl and fell in love that quickly, or is it, as everyone says, just a night adventure?"
Pedri somehow expected this question, but the way he was asked kinda surprised him.
"I don't understand why my love life interests you that much."
"Vamos, Pedri. Tell us, make people understand you."
"I honestly tell you that I don't understand why people hate her that much after one night of doing nothing wrong. She is a sweetheart. We admired each other for some time. What people didn't know is that we didn't just kiss but talked a lot about our lives. We weren't sore back then, but still, I don't see why you hate her? We did the same thing, and if you hate her, why not hate me too? We did the same thing, and I didn't know that kissing your girlfriend was something bad until I had seen the news this morning."
Everyone was shocked at his answer, especially you, who were watching him on tv.
Your heart melted at his voice and when you two saw eachother at training, your heart skipped a beat.
"Look y/n, I'm sorry if saying that you are my girlfriend made you uncomfortable. I wanted to protect you and I had to listen to my heart"
"No, no, Pedri. That's all good. I'm really thankful for what you did for me, gracias mucho."
He smiled at you, and you looked into each other's eyes when he finally leaned in to kiss you. You smiled, and he took that as an yes.
The kiss was beautiful and soft, full of love..like you always imagined.
"Now you really are my sweet girlfriend"
You laughed and kissed him again.

for fluffy fall fantasy, could you please do 3 w/ rooster and hangman? thanks!
Love of My Life | Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw + Jake "Hangman" Seresin
Summary: You go into labor during a dinner party that you and Bradley are hosting. Jake helps the two of you out.
Content warnings: Pregnancy, body insecurities, labor/childbirth, fluff
Prompt: Already barely holding it together as they're getting their hand held but then they feel that reassuring squeeze and they just can't
This was written for my Fluffy Fall Fantasy event. Feel free to send in requests!
Bradley wanted to have a dinner party with everyone before you had the baby. You were around two weeks away from your due date, so you were mostly at home resting before the baby came, anyway. He told you that he would take care of everything around the house so that you could continue to relax, something that you were thankful for. (The dinner party was his idea and you would’ve ripped his head off if he asked you to cook for ten people.) Maverick and Penny were the first to walk in, handing you a gift bag full of baby stuff because they were out of town during your baby shower. You had been experiencing mild contractions throughout the day, but you were so close to giving birth that you passed them off as Braxton-Hicks.
You sat at the dining table in between Bradley and Hangman and you felt huge. You didn’t eat at the table often since getting pregnant because you didn’t feel as big as you were if you sat on the couch with your dinner. As you ate, the contractions started to get stronger and closer together, but you didn’t want to change the pace of the night.
Fanboy and Payback said that they were going to get the fire pit going, and you told everyone that they could go and have fun even though you were going to bed. So, Hangman was surprised to see you loading and unloading the dishwasher at almost midnight.
“What are you doing? You shouldn’t be bending over like that,” he said as he took over doing the dishes for you.
“I think I’m in labor,” you softly whispered. It took a moment for it to register in his head as he turned to you with a look of shock on his face.
“What? For how long?”
You glanced at the clock on the microwave and looked back at him.
“I don’t know, but it’s been like four hours since my contractions started getting stronger and closer together.”
“And you didn’t say anything?”
“I don’t think that’s the point right now. Let me go get Bradley and-,”
“He’s had a couple beers and you’re having contractions. It’s okay, I can take both of you, but I’ll go and get him.”
“Well, there’s another problem with that. The car seat is in the Bronco and he barely even lets me drive that thing. God, I could kill him right now. All of this is just so fucking stupid. Obviously none of us knew that I’d be in labor but - oh shit.”
You felt something pop before hearing a gush, and fluid was running down your legs and on to the floor. Both of you looked down at the puddle that you were standing in and Jake rushed over to you.
“Um, fuck, I don’t know how to help you. Sit down on, like, a towel or something, I don’t know. I’m gonna go get Bradley.”
Jake left once you nodded your head and waddled over to the linen closet to grab a dark towel to sit on. You were so worried about ruining the furniture that you sat on one of the throw pillows after putting the towel over it, just to make sure that you wouldn’t get anything on the couch. You texted a few family members while waiting for Bradley and Jake to come back inside. Bradley gave you a hug and squeezed your hand before telling Jake what to do. He was going to get the hospital bag while Jake helped you into the passenger seat of the Bronco, and Bradley would sit in the back with the carseat and hospital bag.
“This is the only time I’m letting you drive the Bronco. Be gentle. And she gets to pick the music,” Bradley said as he gestured to you and Jake. You laughed, but that was immediately followed by a groan from how much pain you were in. The hospital that you planned to have the baby at was fifteen minutes away, but it felt like it was taking an eternity to get there.
Both of them walked you into the hospital, with Jake giving your hand a tight squeeze as you were filling out the paperwork to get checked in. Once you got into the room, Jake was told to wait outside while the nurses gave you what you needed. Eventually, Jake’s options were to wait in the lobby or go home, but he had left his car at the home that you and Bradley shared, so he decided to wait in the lobby until the rest of the Dagger Squad showed up. Everyone came and went periodically as they waited to hear about if you had the baby or not. Bradley was sending updates to the groupchat since he didn’t want to leave you, even though you were starting to get the urge to punch him with how annoying he was being.
Things got to a point where Bradley decided to send everyone except for Maverick home. You weren’t really progressing and the nurses couldn’t tell when you were going to actually have the baby. Bradley eventually sent him home, too, saying that Mav would be the first to know when you had the baby. The decision was one that you were thankful for, as it took more than a day for you to have the baby.
You were able to leave the hospital a few days after having the baby. Everyone was still congratulating you and Bradley across social media platforms, but you didn’t really mind. The baby cooed in your arms as Bradley opened the front door to the house, deciding that he would park his Bronco in the garage at a different time.
There was a “welcome home” banner hanging when you walked in, and snacks were on the kitchen counter. Everyone slowly came out of their hiding spots as to not startle you or the baby, and your eyes lit up with glee when they all walked over to you to look at the baby. Everyone, even Hangman, thought that the baby was the cutest thing they had ever seen. He looked more like Bradley than you, which didn’t really surprise anyone that much because Bradley looked just like Goose.
“Jake, I can’t thank you enough for helping us the other day. You really didn’t have to but it means a lot.”
“He did it because he wanted you to name the baby after him!” Fanboy yelled from across the room. The baby started crying and everyone glared at him for ruining the moment.
“As much as we appreciate it, man, I’m never letting her name our baby after you,” Bradley told Jake. You laughed as Phoenix guided you to the kitchen for some snacks that everyone was sure you needed after being in the hospital for days.

The Boys Trap Prt 6 | Luke Hughes x reader
the boy trap masterlist - luvhughes43 masterlist🌷
request: “Heyy bestie can I request a follow up for yn and hallies fight? Maybe Luke and the boys end up getting really drunk one night and something happens which makes yn pack and leave before they’re all awake the next day and doesn’t say anything to anyone?! 🙏🏼” and “I need a part 2 of the fight between Hallie and y/n? Does the boys notice and what are they doing about it? 🫶🏼🫶🏼”
word count: 1.9k
It took the guys a few days before they noticed that you and Hallie weren’t speaking to each other. In the beginning, they just chalked up Hallies absence to her visiting her friends. It wasn’t until the fourth night in a row where you guys were radio silent that Luke approached you.
You were sitting on Luke’s bed, watching him get ready for the small party the guys were hosting. It was the end of the summer, so there were now even more hockey players and friends cramped into the house. It was decided that tonight would be the evening where everyone hung out in the backyard, drinking beers and chatting instead of going out to the bars.
Luke was looking through his closet when he finally asked, “what’s going on with you and Hallie? The other guys and I have noticed you two haven't been as talkative”. You knew this was going to come up, and you didn’t want to talk about it. You were so embarrassed by Hallies reaction to you not wanting her to flirt with Jack. You thought it was a simple request, but her calling you insecure and even questioning why Luke was with you… it hurt.
“She just said some stuff and… I don’t know” you were fiddling with the sleeve of one of Luke's sweatshirts that you were wearing.
“What’d she say?” he questioned while pulling on a michigan tee.
“I don’t want to talk about it” was all you replied and Luke frowned.
“You can’t just not talk to her. I mean, we invited her here… she’s a guest at my house. I don't want things to be awkward” you only sighed in response. You knew that Luke was right, and you were embarrassed with how you have been acting towards Hallie, but you didn’t know if you wanted to forgive her. The way she just used your insecurities against you? All because you don't want to be constantly compared to her? It made you so upset.
Luke continued to get ready in silence, throwing you a side glance every once and a while once you started to get ready as well. You pulled on a short summer dress, and paired it with the floral cardigan that Luke had bought you in the beginning of the summer.
Soon enough the house was filled with college and nhl hockey players, and you quickly lost sight of your boyfriend.
An hour went by and you still hadn’t seen Luke. The party had quickly gone out of hand with the small friendly gathering turning into a huge house party.
“you here alone?” a random boy you didn’t know slurred at you as he gripped your waist, nearly tumbling over at the effort it took to get to you.
“uh no my boyfriends here” you said with disgust evident in your tone. Thankfully, the guy was beyond drunk so it didn’t take much force to get his hands off you.
“get off of her!” came the strong voice of Hallie as she shoved the guy even farther away from you. He stumbled backwards, and disappeared into the sea of people. “are you okay?” Hallie turned to you, placing a hand on your shoulder in a form of comfort.
“uh, yeah i’m fine thanks Hallie,” you replied, gripping onto your twins arm as the two of you got shoved around by partygoers.
“it’s getting really crazy!” Hallie shouted to which you agreed. she knew you didn’t do well at parties like this so she grabbed your hand and dragged you through the crowd and back inside the house.
you got up to Luke's room and found a couple going crazy in his bed. they didn’t seem to notice your guys' entrance.
Hallie quickly spun you around and outdoors, “we can just go to my car” she said, dragging you to the front of the house.
the driveway was full, and the party was loud. police would no doubt be called to shut it down within the hour.
you both got in Hallies car, and you sent Luke a text so he’d know you left.
there’s a couple going at it in your room
there’s too many people at the house. hallie and i left
text me back when u see this
You and Hallie drove around for about an hour, neither of you really saying much. after the initial reunion at the party, there wasn’t much to say. you watched silently as Hallie weaved between lanes, watched as she drove around town with no apparent destination in mind.
Luke hadn’t texted you back. he hadn’t even seen your message.
“Hey, would you care if we just stayed at my friend's house tonight?” Hallie's voice finally broke through the tense silence. she had pulled into a parking lot of a starbucks so she could pull out her phone to message her friend.
Hallie looked up at you expectantly, and you shrugged your shoulders. “No that's fine”
A minute went by and hallie was shoving her phone back into her bag, she pulled out of the parking lot.
“Abby said we can stay at hers”
Abby was Hallies friend that you were not particularly fond of. She was loud, and there was a time where you thought she wanted Luke for herself. She was someone who put others down so she could look better infront of others, especially boys.
the drive to Abbys was short, and soon enough you were sitting in her basement watching as she talked and gossiped with your sister.
you checked your phone again, another half-hour going by without anything from Luke.
Are you okay?
you sent another text, before trying to busy yourself on your phone so you looked like you were doing something.
“So y/n! How’s everything going with you” Abby turned to you, addressing you for the first time since you got to her house.
“Oh I'm good. How are you?”
She waved a dismissing hand, “oh you know,” Abby paused, “hey, how was the party? I’ve heard Luke’s having a blast”
“Abby, what are you talking about?” Hallie cut through her friends voice,
“What? The party’s all over everyones private stories” Abby shrugged, reaching for her phone that was laying on the coffee table between everyone.
At her words, you opened your own phone. Everything seemed fine on everybody's private stories. Nothing was out of the ordinary.
“Here,” Abby passed her phone over and you saw what she was talking about. Luke was with a group of his friends, all drinking and some bordering on drunk. To Luke's credit though, he looked the most sober out of everyone. Plus, you saw him repeatedly ask duker something while looking around. It kinda looked like he was looking for you but you couldn’t really tell.
“Yeah he does look like he’s having fun,” you replied with indifference, passing Abby her phone back.
“Yeah Abs what's your point?” Hallie asked, scooching in closer so she could see Abby's phone.
“Oh nothing, I'm just really proud of you y/n. I mean, with how different you two are, it’s shocking you guys are together in the first place-”
“Abby…” Hallie warned her friend but Abby kept going,
“No really! It’s so cool that you’re the type of girlfriend that doesn’t care what her boyfriend is doing! Like you dont care at all that he’s at a party with a bunch of girls, without you!”
“Abby what the hell?” Hallie started, voice raised and upset.
you didn’t know what to say. you didn’t keep Luke on a leash, he was allowed to hang out and drink with his friends. you couldn't help the fact that he was at a party, that was literally at his house, that had girls there. The only thing you really cared about was him not answering his texts, but you’d figure that out later.
“It’s actually really mature of you not to care! Like you literally left the party because you don’t care about him-”
“I care about Luke? Literally what are you talking about. He’s allowed to hang out with his friends without me” you rebutted, just to try and get Abby to shut up.
“Yeah, okay” was all Abby replied with. The tension in the room was palpable.
Sorry duker took my phone
Are you good? I’m fine
Your phone lit up with Luke's texts, and you sighed in relief.
You: At Hallies friends house. Shes driving me insane
Luke: do you want me to come get you?
You: you probably shouldn’t drive if you’ve been drinking
Luke: i can get quinn to come get you guys? He hasn't drank
You: Hallie and i took her car so we can just drive back
You: is there still people over?
Luke: Nah quinny and his friends started clearing people out like 15 minutes ago
You: Okay, love you. I’ll be back soon
Luke: Love you too! Sorry about tonight. i know you hate crowds
You: it’s all good. See you soon<3
“Hallie, Luke said everyone’s clearing out now if we wanna go back”
“Yeah okay, just let me grab my stuff” Hallie said, promptly gathering all of her stuff back into her bag.
“What? Hallie you just got here you can’t just leave!” Abby whined, grabbing onto Hallies wrist to try and stop her from grabbing her things.
Halllie shook her hand off without saying anything back to Abby.
“Come on y/n,” she said to you, grabbing onto one of your hands to direct you off of Abby's couch.
The two of you walked out of Abby's house, ignoring her protests for Hallie to stay as intended.
Once you two were on the road, Hallie started, “I'm really sorry about tonight y/n, about Abby, and that guy, and I'm also really sorry about our fight before. I shouldn't have said what I did” Hallie apologized, clearly upset about everything that's been happening in the past few days.
You sighed in response, “I know you're sorry. I guess I've been so distant because I just… you knew how I felt about Luke and you questioning why he was with me… I know i’m insecure but it just hurts” you felt the familiar pang in your chest, the painful lump in your throat growing as you remember the fight.
“I don't believe what I said! You and Luke are so good for each other. I just wanted to hurt you because it hurt me when you said you didn’t want to be compared to me” Hallie spoke, revealing her own hurt.
“But I don’t want to be compared to you? It sucks Hallie”
“Wait, I didn't mean it like that! I just think sometimes that you don’t want to be close with me if that makes sense? I just… I know it doesn’t seem like it sometimes but I really depend on you. You're so different from me, you’ve always wanted to be on your own and I've always wanted to be … I don't even know the words. I guess I'm just afraid that if we’re not doing everything together you’ll just leave me one day” Hallie tearfully admitted, letting you know her own insecurities.
By the time you two finished apologizing and sharing your feelings, you were parked outside the Hughes house.
“Can I hug you?” Hallie asked, tears still lining her eyes.
You nodded, finally hugging your twin after what felt like weeks.
When you two pulled apart, you noticed Luke standing by the doorway. He held up one of his thumbs, silently asking you if everything was okay. You nodded, wiping your fallen tears with the back of your hand. Everything was going to be okay.

“Pour me a glass, baby.”
(Gif not mine :))
Part two with Fives! Sequel to ‘cold hands and a hot drink
Reader is gender-neutral but an implied fem reader
First meet with Fives!
Character(s): Fives, reader, Echo, mentions of Anakin, unnamed roomate
Genre: Crack, fluff, this is a pretty normal fic
Overview: After the encounter with the small barista (you), Echo couldn’t seem to keep his mouth shut about you. Of course, a certain twin of his starts to get curious, and what was is better to finally meet you than a frat party where you’re serving alcohol?
Warning(s): Fratboy! Fives, Poor, shy baby Echo!, Tubetwin Fives and Echo, Language (in both Mando’a and Basic), sexual innuendos, suggestive themes, alcohol, grinding, it’s a frat party, reader is called ‘mesh’la’
950 words (?)
———————————————————————————
“—oh- and you should’ve seen the way they stood up for me, Fives- it was just- wow, I- I never seen anything so attractive-“
Yes, he knew. His dear vod Echo couldn’t seem to shut up about it ever since the encounter happened. Which, I mean- good for him, but Fives could not continue hearing his brother blabber on about this mysterious barista without Fives knowing them!
“Ugh, yes, you have told me about your very attractive barista that you’ve had your eye on for a while and stuck up for you- what’s their name again-?” Fives asked, rolling his eyes before huffing out a sigh and sinking further onto his bunk.
Echo merely gave a cricked smile to his twin before answering. “Name.” He murmured, and Fives shivered a little, never seeing his brother act like this before.
And frankly? He didn’t know whether to be proud, cringe, or curious. All three. Yeah. All three were good.
“Name...” Fives repeated, testing the foreign name on his tongue before shrugging.
“Well. Have you kriffed her yet-?“
“Shut the kriff up.”
“-yeah yeah, whatever.” He said with a small chuckle, pulling his phone out and scrolling through it lazily. Most likely going through his own posts and checking himself out.
Before receiving a text from Anakin, who said he was hosting another frat party and wanted Fives to be there.
Of course he did!
Fives was the life of the party, of course. He smirked, immediately accepting the invite and looking through its details.
“Ay, Echo- there’s another frat party tonight. Ya wanna come this time?” He asked, looking up from his phone to look at his pale brother. Echo grimaced, his nose scrunching up a little as the corner of his mouth pulled down slightly.
“I dunno, Fives. Frat parties ain’t really my thing-“
“Ooh! They’re gonna be serving drinks there!” He cut Echo off, before snickering and nudging him with his elbow. “Maybe your pretty barista might be there- you should come.” He teased. Echo side-eyed him, frowning a little, before huffing. “Don’t play like that, Fives. We don’t know that-“
— — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — —
Honestly, you had no idea why you agreed to this.
You were a barista, not some alcohol bunny.
But here you were, at this stupid party with stupid sick LED’s, loud, thumping music, many people grinding and flirting and making out or going to another dorm to do… other things.
You sighed, resting your cheek on your palm, watching the party lazily.
Anakin had practically begged the you to come out and make drinks for his party.
‘Please? You’d be doing me- everyone, a huge favor! I’ll pay you anything, just come, dude-“
‘Who knows. Maybe you’ll get laid. S’gonna be fuckin’ sick, so please come.’
Wow. Yeah. What a very convincing argument coming from the popular frat boy of the college, yeah? You didn’t know if it was demanding or whiny. Both, maybe.
But, anywho, you, of course you did, agreed just because Anakin looked like a kicked puppy and he wouldn’t shut up.
So there you were now. Handing out drinks, pills, cleaning up, yeah.
“Hey! Mesh’la! C’mere for a sec, yeah?” You perked up as a certain goateed man beckoned you over with a curl of a finger, giving you a smirk.
“Yeah?” You responded, raising a brow. “Y’see that man over there?” He gestured over to a rather familiar pale male lurking in the corner- oh! “Echo-!” You beamed, before nodding at the other male.
Fives grinned at you. Ah. So he was right. That was the same person that Echo had been nonstop babbling about. “Yep. that’s him. Y’know him?” You smiled and nodded. “Yeah! He’s a regular at my cafe.” You explained. He laughed a little, extending a hand, which you shook.
“Name’s Fives. Name, right?” You nodded, before gasping. “Oh! Yeah! You’re Echo’s twin,” you said, nodding. He laughed a little, running a hand through his hair. “Yeah… that’s me.” He purred, eyes smoldering.
Ew. You paused for a second, fingers twitching as you cringed a little before clearing your throat. “Yeah! Well- s’nice to meet you-“ you then waved at Echo, grinning at him, making the male approach them shyly.
“Hey, name.” He greeted shyly, making you smile fondly at him. “Hey, Echo. Didn’t expect to see you here.” You commented, making Echo laugh. “Same goes for you.” He shrugged.
Fives just rolled his eyes at being ignored, before shrugging. “My roommate knows you. She mentions you, sometimes.” You then spoke up to Fives, pouring Echo a glass of water, before grabbing vodka and filling another person’s cup. Fives immediately smirked at that. “Oh yeah?” He asked, you nodding at him. Of course your roommate knew him. That’s the one he fucked the other night, right? Yeah, well, at least you heard of his skills.
He laughed a little, observing you and Echo, before leaning his cup towards you. You were a good person, he could tell. Maybe a bit of a goody-two-shoes. You didn’t throw herself at him either. He couldn’t help but find that frustrating but entertaining. He did enjoy seeing you interact with his brother, though.
“Pour me a glass, baby.”

made my tumblr acc just so i can scroll through your page :] Thank you so much for gracing us with your art! Super surprised to see such a cool account still talk about corpse party (Ayushiki specifically, IM SO SOLD) What do you like about Ayumi and Yoshiki's dynamics: could be them as characters, the relationship between each other, their relationship with the others of the cast? Love your writing, hope this isn't a boring ask!
This is such a nice ask, not boring at all!! 😭 (I’m sorry for the sort of late response, I don’t check Tumblr that often lol). Probably very long post under the cut!
So to be honest at this point Ayumi and Yoshiki are the primary reason I’m still invested in CoPa at all :’) I’m a huge sucker for so many aspects of their dynamic:
- There’s something really compelling to me about the whole “you were the only person to show me basic decency and now I would die for you without hesitation” thing Yoshiki has going on.
- I’m actually not usually much of a “shipper” in general but I LOVE “shared trauma” ships, probably stemming from Ayushiki. I really love the concept of them being very different people (who may not have ever really interacted more beyond an unreciprocated crush!), but now they’re the only ones literally in the world who understand exactly what the other went through. Like I always felt a bit of a disconnect between the Ayumi/Yoshiki sections of the game versus the Satoshi/Naomi/Yuka sections — Ayumi and Yoshiki seemed to have so much more of an “isolated” feeling, maybe because they didn’t have the established relationships of the other group, nor did they have a “leader” figure like Satoshi? So I always imagined they’d be more drawn towards each other when it comes to processing wtf happened to them rather than processing it as a group. And that’s fun for angst purposes but also comfort purposes lol.
I think how much they contrast as characters is also so much fun to work with. Some canon, some headcanon, e.g.
- Yoshiki having a disjointed and strained family life, versus Ayumi having stronger familial ties, and both of them having to awkwardly adjust to the other’s family dynamics.
- Yoshiki living on his own and being good at cooking, cleaning, decorating, etc. versus Ayumi being a bit of a wreck at any of those things. This one is just fun because it breaks each of their stereotypes (“delinquent” is actually good at/enjoys domestic chores but the seemingly perfect straight-As student is a bit of a slob).
- In my head they’re very much a “me letting my hot witch gf do whatever she wants” ship, but more realistically I also enjoy that Yoshiki is basically Ayumi’s impulse control. She’s very self-destructive, especially post-Blood Covered, and his more cautious approach to things is a good complement to her.
In terms of their relationships with other characters:
- I’ve always liked to imagine Ayumi being quite close with Mayu, and wished we got to see that a bit more in the games. I feel like Ayumi wouldn’t really be very “into” things like makeup and fashion (I mean look at that hoodie/skirt/socks combo she wears at the convenience store in the Missing Footage OVA 😭) and I think Mayu would be the kind of friend that gives fashion advice and helps her have fun with that stuff once in a while. Plus if they were particularly close it would add a lot to Ayumi’s guilt after the events of the game which is a big part of her character development.
- Come to think of it I also like Mayu to have a friendship with YOSHIKI, purely because of that one chapter in Book of Shadows lol. They meshed so well and I love that. I think outside of the Heavenly Host scenario, Mayu would be a good wingman for him lol. She also strikes me as the type who would’ve invited him to group activities even before they all got to know him a bit better, just because she likes to give everybody a chance.
- In a perfect world I think Yuka should’ve had an innocent crush on Yoshiki instead of… yknow… I think it’s more realistic for a young girl to feel awkward/shy around her older brother’s friend. (Kedwin you will pay for your crimes)
- Yoshiki and Ohkawa’s extra chapter was so fucking good and I wish it was just part of the main story!!!! That’s another one of those relationships that probably would’ve never progressed beyond niceties had it not been for Heavenly Host.
And finally some headcanons I have about them as individuals (all assuming Blood Drive never happened):
- Yoshiki is musically inclined and plays guitar, collects vinyls, etc. I like to think he’d run a music store of some sort instead of going to college (to Ayumi’s initial disappointment, but eventually she understands that traditional schooling was never his thing lol). He gets a motorcycle at some point. He’s more of a cat person than a dog person.
- Ayumi is actually an introvert despite her tendency to take on leadership roles in school; she frequently needs alone time or just one-on-one time. She’s also 100% a gamer imo, but she doesn’t openly discuss this lol. I’m probably projecting here but I love the idea of her being a fan of classic survival horror stuff like Resident Evil, Fatal Frame, Silent Hill, etc. (but maybe having a hard time enjoying that stuff post-Heavenly Host lol).
I’m on mobile so I can’t tell quite how much of an essay this is yet but thank you for asking!!! I love talking about this stuff 🥲 Even though I’m kind of drifting away from Corpse Party as a whole I’m 100% invested in Ayumi and Yoshiki still lol.
#the ‘shared trauma’ preference is why i have extremely unpopular resident evil ships LMAO#emma talks about corpse party#also i just looked at the tag for the first time in ages and somebody else made the exact same comment about Yuka#this is 100% a coincidence and i find that really funny

Your posts about being the one to host the things you want to go to always get me so fired up, but I live in a flat the size of a shoebox. Do you have any tips for hosting when you just don't have any space? I've tried picnics but I live somewhere with volatile weather and we were rained out 3 of 4 times. I don't want to wait some hypothetical amount of time until I can afford a place that can fit a dining table!
This is hard without seeing your place, because while its usually easy to figure something out when I can see the setup of a place, it’s really hard to do in theory. All spacious apartments are alike; each tiny shoebox is insane in its own way, and all that.
But I think its important to remember that an event doesn’t necessarily need to be huge or grandiose to be fun! You can have 2 or 3 friends over to have a wine tasting and cheese night, which lends itself very well to small places. I actually recommends an afternoon tea as something that I’ve assembled using some cheap trays from Goodwill and making my bed up sort of like a day bed/couch situation for people to sit on! Cups of tea and little sandwiches are incredibly economical, and by going to thrift stores and picking together a few things over time, you can lend it a sort of occasion and drama that you wouldn’t assume you could get out of a tiny basement studio (“Studio”)
Space is nice, do not misunderstand me! Very helpful in hosting, changes the kind of events you can have, but even small spaces can have small crowds. You don’t need to be a duke to have a festive occasion.
You’re in the UK, by the sounds of the word “flat,” so I have literally no idea how it works there, but for those of y’all reading in the US, the parks systems have places you can rent, often for nominal or low cost! The park by my house has a little shelter you can reserve for free where people OFTEN hold birthday parties* and would be a great place to have a picnic-style event or…I don’t know, lawn bowling, or have a stupid roaring 20s croquet party where you’re pretending to be the nouveau riche. Possibilities are endless.
Also! When I lived in a real shithole, I had a friend with a much nicer apartment, and she hated the work of hosting but loved the idea of having a party, so we split our invites and basically divided and conquered! She had the place, I came up with the menu and did all the cooking, we both helped with the dishes. It was an out of the box solution for both of us, that let us have a really great dinner party by playing to what the both of us had.
*One time, I was running outside and I had a mile lap sent up in the neighborhood, so I kept running by the shelter, and every time I ran by this family having a big birthday party would whoop and cheer me on. When I finished, (after 8 laps) they insisted I come have a beer and some food. I love living in the Mexican neighborhood**, I don’t care what anyone says about it.
**I live in “the Mexican neighborhood” which is not impressive in hispanic residents for, say, California, but for Montana is in fact the densest Mexican-heritage population in any city.

Tomoya Scout: Winter Santa TL
Chapter 1
Hajime: Wow, it’s so beautiful…
Hajime: Look, Tomoya! The lights are sparkling!
Hajime: And, there’s a giant Christmas tree over there…looks like the city’s been decked out in Christmas decorations already!
Tomoya: Yeah~ It’s already Christmastime~ Somehow, I always feel more excited than usual when it’s this time of year~!
Tomoya: And with Christmas comes the New Year. Good things just keep on coming!
Tomoya: Yumenosaki Academy hosts an “S1” every season. On Christmas Day, there’ll be a giant StarFes! I bet it’ll be super crowded.
Hajime: StarFes…I’m actually a bit nervous. It is an S1 after all, and nearly all the units will be participating…
Hajime: I don’t know how many people will come to the live this time.
Tomoya: Ah, like the Halloween Party!
Tomoya: The scope for the Summer Festival was also huge, right? And then they expanded Halloween Party even further. I can’t imagine how big the StarFes will be.
Tomoya: The only thing I can determine is that the school will host StarFes on Christmas Day, so there’s no chance of a lighthearted and casual Christmas for us.
Tomoya: And we’ll start training for StarFes soon. So I’m not even sure if we’ll be able to come out and walk around like this anymore…
Tomoya: Hajime, this is why you decided on an outing, right?
Hajime: Ehehe, I really can’t hide anything from Tomoya!
Hajime: Though, that’s not the only reason why I wanted to come to this popular tourist spot. The main reason is because I want my siblings to be able to see this beautiful view~!
Hajime: But here, there’s a lot of stray snow piled up, and a lot of people too…it would be dangerous for them to come here. So I want to show them the view through my photos!
Hajime: If I take more photos, they’ll be happy for sure!
Hajime: ~~~
Tomoya: I’ll help you take one too, Hajime! Let’s use the Christmas tree as a background prop!
Hajime: Ah! N-no need! If Tomoya doesn’t take the photo with me, then I won’t take the photo either!
Hajime: If I show this to my siblings, then they’ll surely ask, “Where’s Tomoya?”
Tomoya: Ehe…do we really stick together this much?
Tomoya: I’ll set this to selfie mode. Come a bit closer, Hajime! Otherwise the picture will be incomplete, okay?
Hajime: Y-yes! C~heese!
Hajime: Ehehe, the picture turned out great! This counts as an early Christmas gift for my siblings~
Tomoya: Can you only gift them these? If you’re talking about a gift, I think you should give them something more like…
Tomoya: Wait, did you prepare any Christmas presents, Hajime?
Hajime: Yeah! I’m going to give them to a few of my classmates and some senpais that have taken care of me before~
Hajime: For the sake of everyone’s happiness, I decided to set a bigger budget this time~ I’ve saved up for this moment!
Tomoya: Don’t…don’t run yourself into the ground…
Tomoya: Oh, but I’m also planning to give presents to my classmates, Anzu-senpai and my club’s senpais as well! So I’ll need to prepare a lot too…
Tomoya: For my club, I was only planning on gifting to Hidaka-senpai, but I felt like Wataru-senpai would bother me if I didn’t gift him one…so I had to prepare one for him as well.
Tomoya: Other than that, I’ve prepared gifts for all of you in Ra*bits! Even though we might be very busy at the time, I still want to host a Christmas party and exchange gifts with everyone there.
Madara: Come all, come here! You, the lady across the street! And the grandparents too; come over and see!
Madara: We’re having a sale on the most mouthwatering cakes, and they’re only on sale for 3000 yen! It’s so cheap, if you didn’t buy it, then you’d be missing out…you wouldn’t want to miss out on this AMAZING opportunity, would you?
Hajime: Huh?! Wait, what’s going on over there? There’s a loud voice…
Tomoya: Eh…they seem to be attracting customers.
Tomoya: …eh?! What?! The guys standing in front of the cake shop is Mikejima-senpai and Narukami-senpai!
Hajime: You’re right! It feels weird if we just walk away after seeing people we know…Tomoya, let’s go say hi!

Colin Bridgerton Headcanons (AU)
Colin is loves Botony and nature and often hosts a garden party of his own ever year. He got the idea when he was 16 years old . It started off small but over time grew bigger and bigger. It’s pretty notorious now, everyone looks forward to them every year( except Anthony of course) (I know Colin is supposed to be this unserious guy in the books but he’s so extroverted and fun I feel like he’ll plan a get together with people as well and wouldn’t wait until a ball to do it but not to complete in the “battle of the balls” that goes on in English Society but just to have fun)
Colin went to school for Botany and later found a professor , Professor Ronald K. Daughtry (OC I made up) to travel around with and study under him while they explored foliage and plants. Luckily for them they had staff around them to make tea and things for them so he never learned. But he did learn other useful bush activities like Fishing, making a Fire , pitching a tent ect.
Colin after marry Penelope got worked as hired as a professor at a school part time to teach botony classes and the other professor did not like him at all. He was ostracized because of his upbringing they were middle class men and don’t take to him very well even though he was his usual congenial self. They even made fun of his virtual helpless because she couldn’t even boil water. Saying things like "there wasn't't a nobleman they liked".
When he wrote to Penelope about it she didn’t understand why they would make her husband feel poorly about not learning how to do those things.
The students however loved him and his personality mad wit hard not to like him.
He would take off the following year to travel because he can’t stay in one spot for too long but comes back the next year to teach again.
(I chose it because I wanted to give him another job other than a writer cuz I don mind couples that have similar interests or even the same one but I just wanted another type of occupation as well. and it'd be nice to see the flip side of people not like royalty and being improperly judged by jaded or bitter peoe . classic was huge in England and way if life that affected everyone. im sure most people weren't bitter and resentful but I wanted to showcase th flipped. plus nowadays the who "eat the rich" resentment in people is digusting ad annoying, like good and bad exist in all walks of life. rich and poor. Plus it’d be cool to see one of them in a “common” profession.
Cuz being rich all day sound very boring .🥱 Prob why the ton are all so mean and miserable “idle kind is the devil playground” they don’t do anything so they’re too busy being terrible lol 😂)

Sweet Dreams~🌌 Prologue
This was written for the @slumberpartybingo event. Table of Contents.
“Huh?” I blinked dumbly at Jenna, my tired brain trying to process what she had just told me. It was still super early in the morning and I was not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination. I had only just sat down, too, and she ran up to me like I owed her money or something.
“You really aren’t a morning person, huh?” She laughed, leaning onto my desk. “I’m hosting a slumped party and I’m inviting the entire university. You’ll come, right?”
“A slumber party?” My brow furrowed as I scratched my cheek. “Aren’t we a bit too old for that?”
“You sound like my sister,” she rolled her eyes. “You’re never too old for a slumber party! At its core, it’s just about hanging out with friends and having fun. So, are you in or not?”
I opened my mouth to tell her that we’re not even friends, but I stopped short. If she’s inviting me, does that mean she considers me a friend? I couldn’t see how. She’s one of the popular kids and I’m not. We’ve only ever spoken in passing, too. I don’t even know her last name or favorite color.
She was staring at me, waiting patiently for my answer and I didn’t want to be that girl so I quickly agreed, instantly feeling regret when she threw her arms around me. “Awesome! I’ll send you the details after class.”
I blinked dumbly, watching as she rushed back to her friends at the other side of the room. I couldn’t help but wonder how the hell she has my number…
“Holy shit,” I muttered under my breath as I stood outside Jenna’s house. It was huge. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a house so big before. I knew I was way out of my depth here, especially with the sheer amount of people entering said house. My introvert instincts were kicking in and I was more than ready to run away.
“Hey, you made it!” Jenna’s boyfriend, Trent, grinned at me as he stepped out of his car. It was one of many that were parked up and down the street.
Well, shit. I can’t just run away now that people know I’m here. Maybe if it was just a random student, sure, but Jenna’s boyfriend? He’d tell her he saw me for sure. I forced a smile, giving him a nod. “Yeah…”
“Come on in,” he motioned for me to follow before heading up the stone steps.
I reluctantly followed, stuffing my hands into the pocket of my hoodie. The house was filled to the brim with people drinking and dancing, though it wasn’t as wild as the movies often portray college parties to be. The night was still early, though, so maybe it’ll get worse.
“Grab yourself a drink. I’ll go find Jenna.” Trent grinned, slapping my shoulder before heading further into the house.
I winced. As a football star, he had quite a bit of strength that I don’t think he realized he possessed. I may be exaggerating a bit, but it felt hard to day upright when he hit me like that and I was sure it would be sore later. I rubbed my shoulder as I stepped into the kitchen.
Several bottles of alcohol sat on the island in the middle of the room. I wasn’t really an alcohol person, so I tugged open the fridge in search of something else to drink.
“Lucky~” I grinned, pulling a bottle of Dr. Pepper from behind the milk. It was the perfect thing to help get me through the night. I closed the door and nearly jumped out of my skin, seeing Jenna standing there with a bright smile on her face. I hadn’t even heard her enter.
“Hey, there you are!”
“Um…” I cleared my throat, attempting to force my body to relax. “Hi…”
“Come on, the other girls are waiting!” She grabbed my arm, tugging me toward the stairs.
“Uh, waiting for what?”
“For you, silly!”
“Why?”
She didn’t answer as we reached the top of the stairs, taking a hard right. I was taken into the room at the very end of the hall where her friends were. They sat in a circle around a top hat, the dark room lit only by candles whose flames cast eerie shadows across the walls.
The door was shut and locked behind us.
I swallowed nervously. “I’m… a bit confused. What’s going on?”
“We,” started Jamilla as she leaned forward with a smile, “are going to make all of your dreams come true.”
“Huh?”
“Go on, sit down!” encouraged Jenna, pushing at my shoulders until I finally sat down. She squeezed in on my left, completing the circle. “Are we ready to play, ladies?”
“Yeah!” They chorused, cheering and clapping.
She picked up the hat and held it out to me with a smile. “Go on, you get to go first.”
I cautiously took the hat, blinking at it before looking at the others. They were all watching me closely. “What… do I do exactly?”
“Just reach in and pull out a piece of paper! Super easy, right?”
“Sure, but… what’s on said paper?”
“That’s the mystery, silly!” She giggled. “Go on!”
Hesitantly, I reached my hand into the hat, half expecting something to bite me but my fingers just felt slips of paper. I pulled one out, feeling a sudden wave of dizziness come over me. The hat slipped from my hand, falling onto its side as the papers spilled out across the floor.
I grabbed at my head, squeezing my eyes shut. “What…”
“Sh, just let it happen.” Jenna’s voice was muffled and it felt like my head was underwater. My vision was blurry, the room beginning to spin.
My lips parted to speak but no sound came out as darkness overtook me, my body falling back against the bedroom floor.
