Hi! I was just wondering if you have any good fanfic recs? I have been rewatching PPG and craving good extra content, and I've found a handful, but most of it is.... stuff I am not super into lol. I found your blog and it seems like you and I have very similar tastes so I'd love to read anything you have enjoyed!

For some reason, I can’t even find the original post on my own blog (thanks, Tumblr’s barely functional search function! 😩) but @haunting-song (who I will forever credit for finding me this 💖) sent me an archive of some super old fanfics from back in the day from some of the OG PPG fans. I listed some of my favorites on the post I can’t find, which I’ll link to if I can actually find it at some point, but there are some good ones there that are very much like little episodes of the show and are kinda cute!

Otherwise… I dunno, if you find anything, lemme know! 😆 I’m always on the lookout for fanfic that satisfies my longing for something cool that isn’t one of the popular ships/ultra edgy and grimdark/a crossover, but those seem to be some of the more popular genres. I’m sure there’re some other gems out there somewhere!

Listening to wordless music with baby sensory dancing fruits in the background is the right way to study.

I swear the stars have to align for me to be in good enough hw conditions- I had to put on baby sensory in my peripheral vision to give the illusion of activity similar to a classroom BUT not too close or I'll get distracted by it. I also had provide good lighting or else my vibes will be fucked and I'll get sad halfway through. I added wordless music to further provide good vibes without being a distraction. I also have to stand or get on my knees at my desk. If I sit in bed, my brain will go into lazy sleep mode. All these factors have to be perfectly put in place or that work is n o t getting done at home.

Homework is hard.

The entire idea of "talking to someone about a show you both like but it turns out theyre normal about and youre obsessed" is SO real with pnf cuz there's SUCH a difference between "i watched and enjoyed it as a kid" and "ive spent the last 12 years of my life learning the entire script to this show by heart" and it gets SOO embarrassing sometimes lmao

I love how over time kid xelqua has become less just baby grian and more grian's kid who he found in the woods/somehow created and now the kid represents all of grian's childhood trauma and Catholic guilt and grian is just trying to break the cycle bc there's this magic fucking baby who is the best thing in the world

JKAGJKD yes Exactly, see evo Grian has a lot of family issues, from being an orphan, to the Watchers, he has ISSUES, so raising a version of himself is..... definitely odd, but weirdly healing.. He sees how he was as a kid, he wasn't that bad, he was just a kid ! He didn't deserve to be abandoned or anything. He sees all of his ache in Xelqua, he's very much breaking the cycle.
