Uberhood rotation - Lothario update (s0e1)

Hi, cuties!  Since I take a gazillion screenshots per session, I figured I might as well post some of them here. I’m already 8 rounds into my Uberhood rotation so before I start posting (fairly) regularly, I’d love to make an update post for each(ish) family!

 The Lothario family obviously comes first. :P

While being a grade-A slut with commitment issues for most of his early 20s, Don was profoundly drawn back to Nina Caliente; again and again. The deal was sealed when she appeared at his doorstep one morning, announcing her unexpected pregnancy.  Don could’ve dashed, sure, but instead, he took it as a sign from the universe to finally take responsibility - possibly for the first time ever. 

Don and Nina moved in together shortly after. Their first place was a cozy apartment downtown where they enjoyed the early family years. Although they didn’t let go of their player tendencies at first, they always lived a comfortable, harmonious life. With Devon growing up and another baby on the way, the family moved into a house nearby. 

Don couldn’t believe his eyes when his child (allegedly* his) turned out to be blonde and ...a little green. That’s when Nina dropped the “Oh yeah, my grandfather was an alien!” bomb on him. 

Devon is a sweet 16-year-old girl who spends her days hanging out with friends, watching anime, and drawing. Her best friend is her cousin Jasmine, daughter of Dina Caliente. Despite being shy and not too eager to jump into relationships, teenage boys from all over the town are obsessed with her. It’s the inborn Lothario rizz, I’m telling y’all. 

The second Lothario child is Xavier. He shares the green hue of his skin with Devon; with the difference of a tan vitiligo spot covering his right eye, eyebrow and cheek. 

The Lothario family is incredibly close with the Landgraab family - Malcolm, Dina (Nina’s sister) and Jasmine. 

Here’s elderly Don on his way to rizz up elderly Nina. They’re the fucking CUTEST.

Rotation: Penny

Despite being only single for a few days Penny feels great! No more dealing with a serial liar and cheater... until she gets one too many hard ciders in her. Then her self control just poofs away.

I'm downloading Titus onto my steam deck, I will stop dragging my feet and try and actually play SM and not just watch bf play it before SM 2 comes out

While everyone was away at school or at work, little Freya aged up! She wasn't so little anymore!

After eating the lunch Helga left her, she headed into her owner's bedroom and hopped onto her bed to take a nap.

Clearly she had a favorite.

What else is new in Neptune?

Well, I finally used the community lot I earned for reaching 20 households and built another restaurant. It will be the new go to spot for romantic dates, especially during the colder seasons.

There's also a new healthcare center in Neptune, owned by Farai Moyo, which means that there's now one position open in the medicine career :D btw, I will change the colors of the simlish letters on the healthcare center xD

There's a bank & career service business, owned by Liam West. This means that sims now can take out loans, open up bank accounts, and look for open job positions on the job seeking noticeboard - all for a fee, of course.

Also, there's a florist shop, owned by Autumn Sharpe. I once again repurposed a building I built for Florence in Pleasantview xD It looks a little bit out of place in Neptune, but I think I want most of the businesses to look something like this in the future. The florist shop is not furnished though, and won't be until I'm playing Autumn at the end of the rotation.

As you might be able to see in the first picture, I also added four new town houses to make room for more sims who can't afford the more expensive houses.

Lastly, I love the family portraits other simmers like marmiteprinter and rena-sims end their rotations with, and I want to start doing something similar. However, I think I'll start the rotations with a family portrait, along with a short description of the sims. I feel like that could be helpful for those of you who don't read every single post, are new to my bacc, or have a bad memory like I do xD

With all that said, I think I'm ready to start rotation 15 :)

Make the Most of It

Roo boarded a busy bus after an outing with Rylan, and Roo knew the trip was going to be a long one and fell asleep. After sometime, an aching worry creeped into his stomach and began waking him up, and all it took was a gust of summer wind, and an acrid smell of oil to fully wake him up, which was just in time to read his unexpected welcome into Strangetown. Like most people, he inched towards the front to ask the bus driver where in god's name he was, but... there was no bus driver! Who was driving the bus? Where did everyone AND the bus driver go? How did they get here? How long had Roo been asleep? So many questions and all left unanswered as he departed the bus. Curiously, he approached the front door of a home nearby, where he saw a sign that said "This home is now property of Roo Norman," and although he was incredibly stressed and worried, the harsh wind gave him a feeling... He knew he was gonna be here for a long time... So with a free home, sparse money to his name and practically a new life, Roo figured it was best to make the most of this unexpected "vacation"...

Make the Most of It (MtMoi) is a Sims 2 Rotational Save/Series set in Strangetown, of course with a twist as Roo enters the Sims 2 ring and rotation pool. - -

Types of Posts I'm gonna try and do a couple different type of posts; -Main posts will have more effort/editing put into them and are more than likely to be of Roo. -Side posts are going to have less effort, and will be where I post little tidbits and/or wrap-ups of a rotation I'm still debating how I wanna do this as I do wanna make Main posts centered around other sims but idk... 🤔 Post Schedule I'm really bad at scheduling posts im gonna be honest 😪 Taking how back-n-forth my burnout/motivation bursts can be into consideration, I'm gonna shoot for once or twice a week with the main posts/roo updates, and once a week with the side posts/rotation updates Side post posting frequency may differ depending on how often I play

Panel 1: So I'm a little lost / For Context: I was taking a bus back home as I usually do on outings- and all was well, until I woke up to a rather dreadful gust of wind, an odd smell and a sign that said... / "Welcome to Strangetown!" / Now I was gonna ask the bus driver what was going on, but as I walked to the front to get off at my... "stop".. There was no bus driver! Thus leaving me... very confused.

Panel 2: I may seem rather calm for such a situation / But what else are you supposed to do when you are completely and utterly lost and don't have some form of way to get home?

Panel 3: But on the bright side / I got a free house!.. Okay maybe not so bright considering everything else

Panel 4: So what now? What do you do when you're lost in the worst climate. are given a new home and a clean slate for life?

Quinn works up the courage to go over and introduce himself, and quickly finds some common ground with Alex Satou. They may have only exchanged a few words, but Quinn's already developed his first crush!

Uberhood rotation - Goth update (s0e2)

It's the Goth family's turn!

I'll go over the most important events that took place after I began my Uberhood rotation. And it's gonna be a doozy.

If you're not a fan of all the jabbering, at least take a peek at the screenshots, they're cute and/or hilarious. I PROMISE!

Mortimer Goth married Dina Caliente shortly after Bella's disappearance - within a year if we want to be specific. Regardless of what the back-fence talk was, Mortimer truly loved her and she loved him. The thing most of the blabbermouths missed was how Mortimer and Bella's marriage lost its spark years before the incident even took place. The high school sweethearts simply drifted apart, ending up unfulfilled and bored in the long run, and the separation process was in motion. It's not surprising that Mortimer Goth became the main suspect in the beginning stages of police investigations - the charges were dropped in short order though. While he was officially clear of blame, some residents of Pleasantview held onto their own hunches. His son Alexander was one of them.

Deep inside, Alexander knew it was a setup. Misconduct of SOME kind must have taken place. It HAD to. The whole thing just didn't add up - the timing, the circumstances, the so-called "proof" of everyone's innocence, the "investigation", and most of all, the silence. The God-forsaken, gut-wrenching, agonizing, harrowing silence that swallowed the town whole. One day, Bella was there and she was gone the other. That's how it all went down, simple as that. It's like everyone around him was playing pretend that she was never there to begin with, making him feel utterly alone and at the edge of insanity.

And so he began his own investigation, confidently believing that his father was to blame.

Although he knew Lilith by sight, mainly because his sister Cassandra babysat the Pleasant twins years ago, he finally got to know her at college. After some long night walks, diner dates, and a few kisses shared over the grave of her late father, the deal was sealed. He loved her immensely. Lilith became the light in his sea of darkness, the serene voice in the torturous, mute void.

Mortimer died of old age around that time.

After they both successfully got their degrees, they moved back into the Goth mansion together. To say Lilith was ecstatic would be an understatement; oh the delightful life she was almost guaranteed... She could finally be at peace. Safe.

With two children around and one on the way, Lilith was preoccupied with the homely duties of your average parent. Those same duties caused Alexander great agony; he's gone completely off-grid. He felt immense guilt for getting carried away from what mattered the most; the truth. Enlightenment.

His frustration caused him to behave rather recklessly and in a desperate attempt to feel closer to that alluring enlightenment, he ended up luring a grand vampire into the mansion and locking her up in the attic, right where his father's experiments took place. While the first days were rough, soon it almost felt like she wasn't interested in getting away anymore. With time passing they bonded, one thing soon led to another and...

He became a creature of the night.

As pale as paper and as thin as bone, eyes red like fire glimmering with lust. At moments entirely weak, sporadically oozing power.

(He felt a wee bit silly in the last shot.)

And you know what's hilarious about all of this? His family was clueless. Not forever, but for an embarrassingly long while. Taking care of three toddlers while your husband locks himself up in the attic 24/7 causes you to become exhausted and absentminded at times? No way! What?!

Anyway, the grand vampire dashed after successfully turning Alexander. His family understood that the state he found himself in wasn't a simple case of flu when they saw his skin burn up at the slightest touch of sunlight. That and his teeth. And eyes. And the constant "Bleeh!"ing. Oh and the bat form. That felt a little out of place.

Lilith wanted to support her sweetheart in his dreams but it was getting harder and more taxing with time. She never saw him anymore. It felt like he never showed interest in her or their children anymore. The days were the worst; that's when the Goth mansion fell completely silent, with Alexander deep in slumber and the children at school.

She isn't proud of it. Who in their right mind would be? She's betraying Alexander, the children... Herself. But is it really that simple?

She believes it's the crippling exhaustion and loneliness that led her into Dustin's arms. With him, she has something special; history. Intertwined, complicated history that goes back years and years. The sense of familiarity brings her sheer comfort in these trying times. Oh, what they've been through...

Don't get her wrong though; she didn't act on it. Physically speaking, at the very least.

Rotation: Penny

Working for Diego Lobo as a media intern has it's perks- like work from f@#$ing home fridays! Which means Penny's day is filled with referencing the foundational knowledge of the color wheel in emails to boomers, mystery podcasts, and LOTS of yoga because health? However, Cain called to come over for the night since he was off of work two days in a row- lucky her!

didnt get a lot of shots BUT the mini housewarming gathering went well! Batz invited Nat over who brought Loretta over too, for some reason?

they all took turns chatting and playing SSX 3 w/ Mark so he got some social in too <3

but OFC i forgot to gift Natasha her painting so we'll do that tomorrow

The home store needed a bit of a makeover. Firstly, I decided to stop selling produce. It was selling too slow, I had inventories of over 100 pieces and I stopped having Fleur garden all together. And the fruits from the trees kept glitching off of the tables and I was tired of fixing them every time they got restocked.

So now its a flower shop with some gardening stuff for sale. And now it's no longer just some tables in the middle of the yard and I put it in a giant greenhouse instead.

Mercury - as well as many others - got really confused by the change so we had to do a lot of helping folks find stuff.

And that's it for the Hellsten family. Freya's adoption was definitely the highlight of the day.

The last household in the rotation is also the newest one, having been added only this year. Let's go see what the Astrons are up to in their new trailer!

When Zachary came back home again, Anya was waiting for him outside.

"I thought that was you coming back. How did it go?" Anya asked as he approached her "Good. My application for the teaching job was approved. There will be a trial period, but as soon as Diane is ready to retire I will take over as the new teacher.. Most likely, anyway" he frowned. "How are you guys holding up? I'm really sorry for your loss". "Thank you" Anya smiled sadly. "We're okay. It wasn't entirely unexpected. Jaxson was old, but it's still hard to accept that he’s not around anymore". Zachary nodded. "Of course"

They stood awkwardly in silence for a while, until Anya finally broke it.

"If you want someone to show you around town, just let me know. I would be happy to. I need to get out of this house, anyway and I... I would like to get to know you better"

There was something about her smile... Zachary wasn't completely sure, but it seemed.. flirtatious. Maybe? Watcher, he hated this. How was he supposed to know? He opted to not flirt back. He wasn't sure how to, anyway.

"Uh. Sure. That would be nice. I've got some unpacking to do now but.. We could make some plans later?" "Great. I'll see you later then"

Zachary and Anya started flirting the first chance they got x.x They share two bolts, but Anya lost her husband the night before and Zachary JUST moved in. It's way too soon xD Also, he's supposed to be unflirty XD So I kinda wrote the situation a little different than it played out in game, because this made more sense to me x)

Return to Kulo Sena: Household 1 - Pollen

Guess who's finally PLAYING after many, many setbacks? Last week I passed the halfway mark with my >40 households to make, but... then I decided that it was too much of a slog to do them all at once. I opted to start over and do them in stages instead... and a challenge was born! (Sort of.)

The basic idea: I'll be starting with just four of those families, with the aim of "unlocking" all of them by guiding the first batch of playables to fulfilment. As time progresses and more sims find success and fulfilment (by completing LTWs, maxing careers, skills or hobbies, anything that they would have as a personal goal really...) I will unlock a new household for each achievement. I'll also add three more at the end of each rotation.

But where are they in the meantime? Well. Remember that Starband of Fate I've mentioned a few times? Here's my idea: a favourite TS3 household of mine, consisting of a simself and two aliens in a polyamorous relationship, has offered to protect the sims of Lake Lulla by sending them into a kind of stasis. In this state, they're effectively frozen in time and don't age, but they are all sharing in a peaceful and uplifting dream of sorts. One side-effect to this process: coming out of it often makes waking life seem more dreary in comparison. So the simself household settled in the region as one of the founding four, and are responsible for aiding the others in overcoming that low and finding happiness.

And, if you read all that rambling... ready to meet them?

From left to right, the top row features: Axane Pollen, an outgoing, bubbly researcher; Qusul Pollen, a nurturing and affectionate healer; and the simself Equinox Pollen, who is... simselfy.

And this little furbaby here is Lanie, the Pollens' beloved family pet.

House tour (though bear in mind, it's a starter house and unfinished) and the beginning of these sims' adventures will be coming soon!
