He's not the only one with a surprise for Waverly though - Scott's carved up a gift of his own, just like the one he made Leo so many seasons ago!

In preparation for Waverly heading off to university, Leo's been spending his week making a batch of homemade goodies to take with her.

Following her talk with her dad, Waverly decides to make a list of both the pros and cons of pursuing Tess. ...And as much as she wants to accept fate, it seems the timing just won't be right, with Waverly heading off to university next season while Tess is still in high school. Looks like Waverly will just have to try and move on, and hope her dad is right!

Of course, Scott never found his own fated werewolf mate, because he found Leo first! He does his best to reassure Waverly that love or happiness can be found even without ever meeting your fated mate, but his advice seems to leave her feeling conflicted...

The next morning Waverly decides to bite the bullet, and finally ask her dad if he knows anything. After all, everything she knows about being a werewolf she learned from him!

Though the The Wolf Next Door is a great read, it doesn't hold any lunar epiphanies for Waverly about fated mates...

After checking out a couple books at Moonwood Mill's library Waverly returns home, and manages to squeeze in some riding time before the sun sets.

There, she meets Celene López, a local bartender who's got some book recommendations for Waverly to check out! She's not quite brave enough to ask Celene if she believes in fated mates, but perhaps one of the books will be able to help her...

Once she's finished, Waverly decides to make the underground trek over to Moonwood Mill, in hopes of finding some answers to something that's been on her mind...

Without any classes to attend, Waverly has the luxury of sleeping in a little before it's time to get up and help out!

To celebrate both her accomplishments, Waverly's dads take her out for dinner that evening. As enjoyable as their celebratory dinner is, it's bittersweet knowing that they'll only share a few more family meals together before Waverly moves out for university!

However, there's just one more thing Waverly needs to do before she can put high school behind her... and that's breaking things off with her girlfriend. As Waverly won't be seeing her in school tomorrow, she figures a phone call is the best way to go about things.

Having received her acceptance, achieved stellar grades, and experienced everything that high school has to offer her, Waverly decides to maximize the remaining time she has before birthday, and graduate early.

Prom is followed by something much more exciting for Waverly... her acceptance to the University of Britechester's distinguished art history program!
