Rotation 20

I've just hit the big 20th rotation in my game, which means the oldest of the next generation are hitting young adulthood! I've been eagerly awaiting this point because university gameplay is one of my favourite aspects of the game, and there's quite a few features from newer expansions I've been saving to try out with the kids.

I was planning on moving everyone to a fresh copy of the save for it because it felt like a good point to do so, though the new grim genetics did mean I had to remake my base save first... and then my laptop started acting up. The wait to play has been worth it though, because I have decided to treat myself to a new laptop for my upcoming 30th, and oh my goodness the game looks and runs amazing now.

More importantly though, I'm finally just about caught up to the point that I left the original save off at, and it feels like such an accomplishment to have come that far again! It may have taken me a lot longer, but I am so much happier with how I chronicled the save this time, and I feel so much more connected to my sims because of it.

Just wanted to end this note with another thanks to those who have been following my posts, any likes or comments always make my day a little brighter at work (and the occasional asks always make me cackle). :)

Meant to reblog this back when it concluded, but better late than never!

Had a feeling that Sebastian was going to do well, so I wasn't surprised to see that he won! However, Waverly is my own favourite, and I'm glad to see she ended up doing quite well, too. :)

Para-poll, Round 4

All but one of the children have hit their teenage years, so it's finally time for me to ask...

Leaving Imogen out of this one as I feel she hasn't been around quite long enough, but I'll probably run another poll with her when the kids are young adults. :)

They hit up a shop down the street, for some well-deserved donut holes! Unfortunately for Andy, Miko's attempt at romance leads to her donut falling short of her mouth...

Sunday arrives, and since Miko and Andy haven't had much time for themselves since their birthday at the beginning of the week, they decide to make a date out of some midday yoga.

On Saturday Isla heads over to Thriftea with her friends, in hopes of finding the perfect prom dress.

Though he didn't leave off on the best note with Alex, Quinn slips an invite to Prom in his locker on Friday, just in case...

...and if all her accepted scholarships are anything to go by, Isla shouldn't have any problems getting accepted into a program! Now all that she's got left to do is pick her major... and a dress for the upcoming prom!

While Isla might not have completely settled on a future major yet, she has been sending out scholarship applications throughout the week, and the results come in on Friday...

It seems their neighbours have taken notice of the festivities happening in their apartment, as they get a knock on the door from Billie, asking to join. Though the rest of their guests have long departed by that point, Isla still invites Billie in for a round of video games, and brunch leftovers.
