Day one in Strangetown was a success! He made not one but two friends, got a job and somehow managed to win 5 rounds of Rock, Paper, Scissors back-to-back-to-back, which is surprising considering his luck...

Make the Most of It

Roo boarded a busy bus after an outing with Rylan, and Roo knew the trip was going to be a long one and fell asleep. After sometime, an aching worry creeped into his stomach and began waking him up, and all it took was a gust of summer wind, and an acrid smell of oil to fully wake him up, which was just in time to read his unexpected welcome into Strangetown. Like most people, he inched towards the front to ask the bus driver where in god's name he was, but... there was no bus driver! Who was driving the bus? Where did everyone AND the bus driver go? How did they get here? How long had Roo been asleep? So many questions and all left unanswered as he departed the bus. Curiously, he approached the front door of a home nearby, where he saw a sign that said "This home is now property of Roo Norman," and although he was incredibly stressed and worried, the harsh wind gave him a feeling... He knew he was gonna be here for a long time... So with a free home, sparse money to his name and practically a new life, Roo figured it was best to make the most of this unexpected "vacation"...

Make the Most of It (MtMoi) is a Sims 2 Rotational Save/Series set in Strangetown, of course with a twist as Roo enters the Sims 2 ring and rotation pool. - -

Types of Posts I'm gonna try and do a couple different type of posts; -Main posts will have more effort/editing put into them and are more than likely to be of Roo. -Side posts are going to have less effort, and will be where I post little tidbits and/or wrap-ups of a rotation I'm still debating how I wanna do this as I do wanna make Main posts centered around other sims but idk... 🤔 Post Schedule I'm really bad at scheduling posts im gonna be honest 😪 Taking how back-n-forth my burnout/motivation bursts can be into consideration, I'm gonna shoot for once or twice a week with the main posts/roo updates, and once a week with the side posts/rotation updates Side post posting frequency may differ depending on how often I play

Panel 1: So I'm a little lost / For Context: I was taking a bus back home as I usually do on outings- and all was well, until I woke up to a rather dreadful gust of wind, an odd smell and a sign that said... / "Welcome to Strangetown!" / Now I was gonna ask the bus driver what was going on, but as I walked to the front to get off at my... "stop".. There was no bus driver! Thus leaving me... very confused.

Panel 2: I may seem rather calm for such a situation / But what else are you supposed to do when you are completely and utterly lost and don't have some form of way to get home?

Panel 3: But on the bright side / I got a free house!.. Okay maybe not so bright considering everything else

Panel 4: So what now? What do you do when you're lost in the worst climate. are given a new home and a clean slate for life?

Roo decided, even with no work that day, to wake up at 5 AM... with no objective in mind for the day, he eventually ended up meeting Loki Beaker, he had hopes of making a friend, and ended up getting battered to death with Loki's jests and jokes...

For some reason, Roo would NOT stop expressing just how much he was NOT attracted to Vidcund LMFAOO like everytime he walked by him or entered the same room as him, he'd shudder and show X hearts 😭😭 like we GET ITTTT... im surprised Vidcund even wanted to be his friend with how INSANELY apparent roo made it that he wasnt attracted to him

Got the Sims 2's version of the welcome wagon and Roo happened to be in that wagon and He keeps sculking and standing with his arms crossed like a grumpy cat 😭😭

So for round one of the Strangetown Rotation, I didn't realize that each household would start with one day left of Summer, so all rotations were barely a day long and not much happened in that time, but I'll still do an update (the honorary first, and probably only, full rotation update)

This will probably be one of the only full rotation updates I do... I'm not really sure how I wanna do rotation updates right now, cause rotations will be 7 days long which means more will happen... and I dont wanna squish it all into one post... and I dont know if I wanna do updates separately because then I'm worried I might get behind... but whatever! Albeit this isn't incredibly lengthy, I'm still putting everything under the cut... enjoy!

Johnny somehow managed to get his aspiration bar into the red and now won't stop throwing temper tantrums PT9 and Jenny tried for baby, but I don't think she can/did get pregnant since PT9 is an elder

Tank got a job in the Military Ripp met a girl from downtown named Tish Akagi (And has a want to kiss her 👀) Tank and Ripp fought 4 times, 3/4 of those times were back-to-back 😭

(Just an FYI: Ajay and the Singles had to be moved in via the family bin - Hence why their homes might be a little barren in possible future screenshots)

Ajay got a job in the Law branch He got introduced to the neighborhood by Jenny Smith, Lola Curious and Roo Norman And... He ended up falling in love/developing a crush on Roo 👀 (Roo later developed a crush on him back as well)

Kristen got a job in Education ... That's all that happened 😐 They literally just fought the entire time, they annoyed the piss outta me cuz they wouldn't leave each other alone...

Okay let's get rid of the yuck anon memories. I got a random question... What would Roo say happened to Bella Goth (from sims 2 not the sims 4 weird universe)

So there's two ways I can approach this question: 1, I can approach this in the view of TS2/MtMoi Roo, who appeared in the Sims 2 universe and does not know anything thats going on (including the story behind Bella) OR 2, I can approach this through the view of Non-Sims 2/Real Life Roo, who WAS a Sims enjoyer as a kid, but did not indulge in the lore. I'll try my hand at giving BOTH perspectives, since I think both are interesting .. :)

MtMoi/TS2 Roo: This Roo is relatively blank, he was dropped into Strangetown and really could not care about Bella's disappearance, and would rather have his OWN disappearance involving him being taken back home LOL So I think being as ignorant as he is, and considering the folk and stories in ST, if someone were to ask him.. "What do you think happened to Bella Goth?" "Pssh, I don't know, I just got here... She probably got sweeped away by Aliens" Roo would make some lucky guess about her being abducted by Aliens, unbeknownst to pretty much everyone though, he is (mostly?) right! I can also see him making a similar guess based on gossip he's picked up or heard.

Non-Sims/Real Life Roo: Like I said, Roo WAS a Sims kid! So he did play Sims, but he did not creep into the lore, he ALSO did not play much of Sims 2 as a kid, so being asked this question, he is (just like MtMoi Roo) going into this question blind, also Roo doesn't like being wrong,,, So when asked this question... "What do you think happened to Bella Goth from Sims 2?" "Ah.. uhm... She probably [long pause]... probably... got abducted by aliens?" He would approach this question hesitantly, and after saying that, he would def end up looking it up to confirm his assumption, and to his dismay, he wouldn't get a perfectly clear answer, but like before, he is (mostly?) right! Alternatively, leaning into his hatred of being wrong, he would skip giving an assuming answer and would instead just look it up :)

Make the Most of It - Sims 2 Rotation w/ Roo So I actually came up with this name on a whim iirc? I know I wanted to make this series, but I didn't know what to name it, so I just started taking silly little dramatic shots and then while I was doing the "Make the Most of It" (which didnt have MtMoI on it at this point) gif I was like... oh "Make the Most of It" fucks so hard for a title... especially for this series... and yea 🤷‍♂️ Idk or remember if there were other names I was gonna go with

Hiraeth - Roo x Leo Story Arc So originally I just wasn't gonna have a name for these two, or at least, I wanted one but couldnt think of anything, but one night I was DEDICATED to finding a name for this arc, so I started looking up phrases in other languages that either meant longing or loving someone ahdbsjns I had a tab on notepad with all the names I was gonna go for (I was gonna do phrases from Welsh,,, Irish and I think Swedish too?), but ofc i closed it and didnt save it 😒 Anyways, I know the other name I was gonna go for was "Cwtch" which is a Welsh word for "cuddle" or "embrace", and I ALMOST went for that, but then I considered Hiraeth ("deep longing for a person or thing which is absent or lost; yearning; nostalgia; spec. homesickness") and was like ohhh thats so much more fitting- I also chose to go with Welsh because Leo is Welsh and Leo is the reason this is happening.. so it kinda just made sense to make it Welsh. Also haven't talked abt this, but Roo knows about Hiraeth from Leo :)

WE'RE.ALL.SICK - Story with a cast of Three iirc when I thought of this title, I wasn't even planning on making a Story, but then i though of W.A.S and just thought "this would make an INSANE story..." and 🤷‍♂️ now we have W.A.S. Although the whole story was essentially made around this name, There is also meaning behind it, and that is "We're ALL Sick", refers to the people oppressing people who are "different" (chaotic birthmarks on the green guy, weird scarring on the yellow guy and blindness and masc frame on the red/blue gal) and the people who are "different" or as the oppressors call them, "Sick", so it's jabbing at the Oppressors and mocking the name given to the Oppressed :'L

MYGENERATIONALCURSE - Hero's Story I made this on a whim ngl LMAO But I love it because it is accurate to Hero's lore, she has a generational curse dating as far back as ~100 years ago, there was no other name in mind, it was kinda like fate

It's All Wrong - Ithuriel x Nanel Story I know I've never really gone into depth over what the fuck "It's All Wrong" means or refers to, but basically Ithuriel is the "Repository of Sin" and her job requires her to be isolated from other Angels, and is literally not allowed to communicate with other Angels including Nanel unless necessary, and if she WERE to communicate with Nanel/Other Angels outside of when necessary and got found out, she would be executed. Nanel is the highest Angel Messenger, she goes to the Pits of The Damned (Hell) and goes to Purgatory and across Heaven to deliver messages to others, typically an angel wouldnt be allowed to traverse the Pits of The Damned or Purgatory, but she has a job-exception, and this also includes delivering messages to Ithuriel, which is the only time Nanel is allowed to converse with her. So that being said, Nanel and Ithuriel, if you havent caught on, are deathly (literally) in love with each other and were dating prior to Ithuriels Job Assignment, and they continue to secretly date and converse, but the point is that their love is secretive and "all wrong", hence, "It's All Wrong"

AMNESIA - Gameplay/Story of Sharkie Shaw I know literally nobody (besides my irl, Oksana and I think one other person) knows about Sharkie, but basically, the name refers to how Sharkie experienced Amnesia as a Teen and stupidly ran away from home while experiencing Amnesia, so she became Homeless and a shell of a person and had to rebuild herself and her personality and life from the ground up :')

The Wolf (Sheep) - Onia's Story If you remember Onia from the Feelings Post (She was jealousy), basically her whole shebang is that shes a Sheep in Wolf's clothing, and that's what "The Wolf (Sheep)" means :) (also, sheep being in parentheses nods at how she's trying to be a wolf and hides her sheep-like personality if that makes sense LMAO)

There's also Vanella, Kyneva and Phoenix (Vanella from this post, Kyneva - Sadness and Phoenix - Grief from the feelings post), all of which I am planning on giving "story" names, but havent had an idea for them yet :P

if I didn't mention having an alternative name then I PROBABLY didnt have an alternative name that I was gonna go with or I just dont remember <:))
