now that the olympics are officially over, i wanted to share some more of my favorite moments from the second week of these games:

Rebeca Andrade finally got her gold in floor!!!!

the kayak cross course in canoe slalom is wild, it starts with a huge drop into the water and ends with a required barrel roll

the entire men's pole vault final was awesome and had everything! Armand Duplantis of sweden broke the olympic record and his own world record while his fellow athletes cheered him on. Emmanouil Karalis won bronze for greece and gave Mondo (duplantis) a bandaid after he hurt his hand. Sam Kendricks, who won silver for the U.S., also cut his hand and wiped it off on his arm. Mondo's mom filmed his record breaking jump on an ipad. after making the jump, Mondo posed like Yusuf Dikeç (turkish shooter guy) and ran off to kiss his girlfriend. incredible. iconic. showstopping.

Mijaín López from cuba won his 5th CONSECUTIVE gold medal in greco roman wrestling. that's 20 straight years of being the reigning olympic champion

Arisa Trew, the 14 year old aussie who won gold in women's park skateboarding, is getting a pet duck from her parents for winning

a whale decided it wanted to try its fin at surfing during the surfing semi-finals

UK's skateboarding team looked like a middle school field trip with the class' favorite math teacher, except that teacher just happened to be 51 year old skating legend Andy Macdonald. just to put it into perspective, Andy Macdonald is on the same legend level as Tony Hawk. they're close friends and used to compete in vert doubles together. Tony Hawk cheered him on from the stands with Snoop Dogg, and he got a huge ovation after his run. also shout out to Sky Brown, who's 16 and got bronze again this year, even with a recent dislocated shoulder injury.

Dorm-inspired Outfits (from my Closet)

A few months ago, I put together a few things from my closet based on the different twst dorms. I posted them to Reddit, but now, they shall also have a home here on Tumblr :) But I'll also add a bit more info on the inspirations behind my use of the various pieces here, just for fun. Also, pardon the socks; I didn't bother picking shoes to go with the outfits. I'll describe what shoes I would wear with each look, though!

Also, uhh... body reveal? Before showing my cosplay (whenever it is that I finish it lol)

Heartslabyul

For this outfit, I wanted to feature the clashing patterns and fabrics of the dorm uniforms, while also incorporating an Alice in Wonderland-esque aesthetic. I used a yellow fabric belt, similar to the yellow sash of the dorm uniform, and added a scarf with a rose pattern and the same colour scheme as the rest of the outfit. I also retained my watch (which I really should have switched out for one of my analogue watches, but... oh well) and my "Save The Bees" bracelet, since it seemed to fit with the theme and I wear it on basically a daily basis, so...

I would pair this look with these white socks and my saddle oxfords.

Savanaclaw

With the Savanaclaw outfit, I wanted an active and somewhat more masc look. I tried to stay true to the warm colour scheme, and reference the leather vest of the dorm uniform using the sleeveless flannel I had. I also kept my watch and bracelet for this outfit, but I added two necklaces - one with a celtic knot pendant, and one with a piece of quartz, though if I had a tooth or bone necklace, I would have used that instead.

I would wear my brown leather boots with this outfit.

Octavinelle

This outfit is one of the closest to how I normally dress. The dress is black with lavender flowers, with a gather in the skirt on the left side, giving the heavy material more movement - it just feels "Octavinelle". I added a braided belt with a silvery buckle to give a little more definition, and a pearlescent pink and purple necklace, along with white gloves. I also wore my cream coat over my shoulders as a coat-cape, à la Azul Ashengrotto.

I would not wear socks with this, but instead stockings and my black and white pumps.

Scarabia

I wanted to follow the colour scheme and ~vibe~ of the dorm and its uniform for this Scarabia-inspired outfit. The floral skirt may seem to be an odd choice, but the deep orange of the flowers and the satin material seemed to fit with Scarabia. I also added more jewellery - multiple rings, and two necklaces, all golden in colour - to complete the look.

I would probably wear either my tan scandals, or white ankle socks and my heeled leather oxfords with this outfit.

Pomefiore

I felt like Pomefiore needed a classic, powerful look - what better way to do that than with a black pencil skirt? That, I paired with a sheer blouse with satin cuffs, and a (mostly) purple, high-necked, sleeveless knit. The orange, cream, and golden stripes in the knit also reflect the gold detailing of the Pomefiore dorm uniform.

I definitely wouldn't wear socks with this - it's another job for the black and white pumps, or maybe even my black heeled boots, depending on the vibe.

Ignihyde

Ignihyde just SCREAMED for the use of my CrankGameplays "Soft Boi" shirt. It's light blue, plus it's gamer merch - the perfect combo. Add in some black jeans, headphones, and a blue and white scarf in the pocket, and Ignihyde is complete!

I'd wear either my pink skate shoes, or maybe my brown leather boots with this one, I think.

Diasomnia

Finally, Diasomnia. I simply needed to use my green turtleneck with this one, but I knew I had to use black for the rest of the outfit. So, black trousers and a black cardigan (again, over the shoulders) were the other components I used, as well as a black braided belt - both to add a little texture, as well as a hint of silver, as is featured in the Diasomnia dorm uniform as well.

I'd wear black socks and my black heeled boots with this outfit.

Ooough. Okay, I seriously had to stop myself. This was turning more into a fic than a prompt and the worst part is this is just half of what I had planned. I tried to leave it open ended for how Naoki(4) will deal with the PI. Although I didn't write a middle, I know how I planned it to end (:

The dogfish scratched his chin, mind tumbling with the thoughts in his head.

4 years.

4 years this family grieved, having tried and failed to find their missing daughter.

"So why?" he thought

When he had met Chiyoko Masuda, she was skeptical of his services. "She's dead." She said, voice level. He had heard her story, of returning to a shattered home. Breaking hearts and leaving grief.

Yet it had been her sister Yui who had filed the police report that day, who now paced around the room while he asked his questions.

Who had to convince her sister to have this meeting in the first place.

When he left that meeting, the parents had been cynical about his profession. So when he returned the next day with what he found, the three blanched at his quick discovery.

"Inkopolis.." Yui breathed, looking at the laptop in front of her.

'Alice' was a slightly average turf war player barely skating into S+, but one who bared striking resemblance to Noaki Masuda. They scrolled through her squidforce profile, past replays barely days old, stopping on a replay just entering the 2 year mark.

"4 year's" he thought.

Chiyoko seethed "That ungrateful brat!". She choked a sob, and her head fell into her hands as she mumbled about her unconditional love while her husband stared numbly at the silver trophy on-screen being shoved into the girl's hands.

"Go! Find her and bring her back!"

The PI scratched his chin. "I's not that simple. I can't legally touch her." He shrugged, shaking his head. " I can only watch her daily activity, and even if I could bring her back, she's already an adult now who-"

"THEN GO WATCH HER!!!" Chiyoko screamed. She pulled out her phone, scrolling a bit before shoving it back in her purse. "Her birthday isn't till the end of next month, until then, she's a minor. OUR minor. Find her."

He left that day with a few photos of the girl and a stack of cash, but before he could leave the house, Yui stopped him. "Please..." Tears streaked her face as she placed the envelope in his hands. "I want to see her return safely, but I fear what my sister will do.."

Her words bounced around in his head as he recalled the look in her eyes.

4 years. Assumed, willingly even, as dead.

"So why?" He thought "... Are they so eager to get her back now.."

She wasn't coming back. As much as her parents and her aunt wanted to hear that she was, she wasn't. Her 'disappearing' for four years was her hiding. But why was she?

The question could make or break the entire investigation, because while he was hired to bring her back, he wouldn't if her disappearance was justified.

He did not like her mother. Maybe she acted the way she did out of grief, but her multiple demeanors so far told a different story. Maybe he was thinking too hard, but the use of the words 'ungrateful brat' unnerved him. As he got closer to her daughter, he got closer to the truth.

After catching a dingy train, he finally arrived in Splatsville, a place he was no stranger to. Some of the cases he took led him here, this one included. At night, it wasn't the family-friendly city of chaos seen on TV. It was empty and almost threatening. Dirty looks were given from people whose eyes almost had some sort of glow.

Apparently, this was the place. He didn't like it then and he felt the same way tonight. Why any child would be here, he didn't know, but the kids of Inkadia loved trends more than anything. A few apartment complexes were in the plaza, with only one holding his target. The photos, though useful in other ways, did nothing currently, since they were all from her childhood.

There was one more thing her could do, though: return to the SquidForce profile. The app allowed users to attatch photos to their profiles, and those were the photos he was after. In one—candid but likely taken by a friend—she stood in front of an apartment, presumably trying to get in. It revealed the number in its entirety, yet the photo was somehow still up. Other pieces of useful information were the appearance of the walls and the apartment being on a floor that wasn't the first. That was all the photo had that he could use.

While wandering aimlessly, a habit he was trying to break, he looked up and found in front of an apartment complex. Going off the light his phone emitted, it looked to be just the complex he was looking for.

He walked up the metal steps, praying he didn't alert any unruly residents, and reached the apartment after some climbing. Slightly out of breath, he knocked on the door.

A yellow-inked woman with her tentacles in an updo answered, barely awake.

"What?" she asked, scowling.

"Sorry to bother you, ma'am," said the dogfish after clearing his throat. "Hideaki Sato, private investigator. I've come to you on behalf of your parents."

The woman's eyes widened. She ducked out of sight, opened her closet, then returned holding a charger. Hideaki held up his hands.

"Get out," demanded Naoki Masuda.

Personality: Andrea is a warmed hearted and passionate girl since birth. Andrea has self-esteem in handling tasks herself, but sometimes she has problems to admitting that she need help. Andrea is a careful and annalistic, as well as being a natural fast learner and observant. After being bullied, Andrea wants to stand up for herself, so not only did she soon become tough and intimidating to fit with her persona, but she also has no problem with fighting and would proudly stand up to danger, even if it means she ends up getting hurt for her friends.

Being born with natural beauty and a beautiful singing voice, Andrea feels self-conscious about her beauty due to her bully, Tracy, always picking on her for her looks, mainly her natural hair color. However, thanks to her best friends, Robert, Bryan, Joseph and Matthias, she slowly focuses on looking beautiful while being intimidating, but it wouldn't be a problem since her beauty increases as she grew older, making her to became alluring to all those who come across her. Background: Andrea Williams is the youngest daughter of Kevin and Maybelle Williams, and youngest sister of Elena Williams. Most likely, she has a difficult but somewhat normal childhood, she had taken up different hobbies that makes her happy; Parkour, Judo, dancing, pole dancing, singing, music, ice skating, wrestling, horseback riding, and swimming.
