noah kahan really said growing up in a small, bitter hometown is about the rage and the hatred that's been sung about many times before but it's also about love and devotion and the 'all three of us were drowning and we didn't know how to save each other but there was an understanding that we were all drowning together' of it all and knowing people so intimately yet not being able to help anyone and he's morally grey at best in a lot of his songs and objectively the bad guy in others and that's just how it is and it's about substance abuse and normalised crime and teen suicide and country roads and failed exams and leaving and being left and love and hate and love and hate and love and
Welp, THAT'S a case of late realization if I've ever seen one...
I mean, the brothers have known that we're looking for a way home for what, almost twenty lessons? Since you know, during that meeting at the Council Room we told them that we were brought to the Devildom by someone else and that Solomon was helping us find a way back.
I'm guessing that Levi ( and probably the others too ) didn't expect things to happen so quickly ( in the brothers' perspective, at least, since to them we haven't been there for long ), and knowing that we only have four pacts to go, and could very soon leave the Devildom, he got overwhelmed by all of it.
Which is totally understandable, by the way.
The only friend he has outside his brothers - and romantic interest if your relationship with him goes that way - is leaving him and it fucking kills him.
Rewatched MAWS season 1 in preparation for the upcoming season and man I love this show. It's such a good understanding of Superman and who he is at his core while just doing cool stuff with the existing lore.
Anyway Michael Emerson is such a beautifully perfect casting for Brainiac I'm honestly shocked it didn't happen before.
Hmm... it's interesting how they made Luz wear a witch's cloak in Hunting Palisman - the episode where she introduces Flapjack to Hunter. This is also the episode where Hunter defies Belos by choosing Luz over him. He goes back to his palace empty-handed and he doesn't hand over Flapjack to Belos. Unbeknownst to Hunter, he is following Caleb's footsteps.
But then, in Hollow Mind, they made the choice to have Luz not wear her witches cloak - instead they made Luz wear a jacket with a giant "E" on it. They could have given Luz a completely different outfit like they did in Hunting Palisman. But they don't... they make her wear this specific jacket...
...They also make Hunter wear Caleb's symbol in Hollow Mind... an episode where Luz and Hunter are trapped in Philip's mind... where we can see paintings of the two most important characters in Philip's life - his brother and a witch from another world.
But I'm sure this is all unintentional.
You know, like this is:
oh, nbd, just a painting being paralleled with the scene happening right before our eyes
here's a more high def image of the painting
Oh, hmm, okay, this is a painting of Caleb standing next to a witch with short dark brown hair and who just so happens to be a witch from another world. Both of them are startled by Philip...
Hunter, the Grimwalker who looks the most like Caleb, is standing next to someone who ALSO just so happens to be a witch from another world with short dark brown hair... both are startled by Philip's monster form...
Hmm, must be unintentional I guess.
there's also this:
Mhm, okay, I see... I see, very interesting. Here we have Caleb being lead away from Philip by a witch from another world after the brother's have a fall out. This fall out marks the point of no return for them, as Philip later kills Caleb out of anger.
Hunter and Philip's relationship completely deteriorates because of Luz, which leads to Philip's decision to kill Hunter. She shows Hunter Belos' true nature and she offers Hunter sanctuary at The Owl House right after he finds out Belos has been lying to him his whole life... Luz saves Hunter's life and changes it forever.
Hmmm... very interesting
But I'm sure this is unintentional [I'm being sarcastic]
Can I confess I hate that they use this photo on everything because WHY isn’t Jamie in it!! Phil is the only S1 main cast member who isn’t included and for what 😭 and he could slot in so nicely behind Higgins and keep it symmetrical…it pisses me off lowkey lmao
I just finished season one episode 19 of Dungeons and Daddies (not a bdsm podcast) and it has me all kinds of messed up. To take Grant, who is such a sweet kid, and have him thrown into one of his favorite games, have his dad violently murder someone then lie about it, and then having to violently kill a creature in what may be the most gruesome and traumatic way just because his dad made a stupid pact is heartbreaking. I legitimately feel so sad for this character. I wonder how this will be addressed later in the season. If anyone who’s listened to the series reads this soon, does it get any better for Grant? Is there any chance things improve for him?
If I had a nickel for every time a character in The Dragon Prince was a prince with a five letter name that starts with “K” who has ideals/plans that go against those of the main characters, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
hello hello I fell asleep last night before we got to the hotel but we on the road again now so!!! thank you for sending me entertainment 🙏
I gotta admit I’m not the biggest fan of cartoons, and I have watched anime in the past when I was younger, but I never really got into any that I tried!
tbh I haven’t even finished the clone wars cause I just never want to watch cartoons when I could watch something else - even if the cartoons are Star Wars related! About characters I like!! My brain is pretty weird that way idk why I haven’t been able to get into any cartoon shows or anime when I have a lot of recs from people on here and in real life who really like both
That very scene that we all love and hate so much at the same time, many things were said about it and its details, but I'm not sure if I saw this one that gets me
Aziraphale says, "We can be together! Angels!"
And then, Crowley says, "We could have been us"
Aziraphale wants them both to be together, to do good and feel happiness and joy because of that. He thinks that is the greatest good, and he wants Crowley to feel it too and to share this delight with him.
While Crowley doesn't even care what they are. He wants them like that, like they are now, an angel and a demon who managed to get along; like how they evolved on Earth and what they have become in all those years. He doesn't want what being angels would do to them and to him especially. Would they and their relationship remain the same then?
Aziraphale wants to fix it for good and bring him joy. But Crowley loves them for who they are and doesn't think there is anything to fix.
Aziraphale says, "We can have the same rights, be equal and finally be together"
While Crowley says, "We've been together for six thousand years. For me, we've been equal this whole time. And I don't think there's something to be changed in you or me"
