FINALLY making some progress on this homage piece. I fancast Destiny, Destruction, and Delirium for drawing models. I would love to see Idris Elba as Destiny, Sam Heughan as Destruction, and Stephanie Hsu as Delirium!

I’m hoping to finish shading Despair and Delirium today so I can do the bg and details tomorrow.

Well, all we can do is keep pushing.

The thing is, this show is a comfort watch for so many, it is wild to me that a platform would not go on to renew it. Cause you know what happens when there are more episodes of your comfort watch? The likelihood of people cancelling their subscription decreases. If I have had a long day, what I do in the evening is put my comfort watch on (and maybe march to it on the threadmill). And DBD has all that a comfort watch needs: spooky, happy, funny, engaging and ends well. Can be watched sequentially and an episode at a time. So, the logical thing to do is to renew it. Like come on, this is obvious!

Yeah for me this is enough to keep fighting. This cast is right alongside us and they're telling us to keep up the good work.

I will forever be grateful to Jayden for his portrayal of Charles Rowland and for all the love he has shown this fandom. Never has a character meant so much to me. This show and these people are worth fighting for.

It made sense at the time-- and there was nothing nefarious about it! My son would pay for Netfilx and we’d pay for Disney+ then do a little password swap, make a couple of profiles et voila! We’d be set.

... and then today, with the last two episodes of Sandman left to be watched...

I'm fine with most of the changes made in adapting The Sandman to the screen, but I will not forgive Netflix for depriving us of Tom Sturridge running naked through some random guy's anxiety dream to steal a party sub and a bucket of KFC.

It had been over a century by now. Over a century of not hearing anything from him. He had promised it wouldn't take long, merely a day to travel to Berlin to catch the Rouge Nightmare, who called himself the Corinthian.

But he hadn't returned since, nor had Jessamy. Most of the residents of the Dreaming had left. You couldn't blame them, this realm was not the same without his king. It withered away, while he wasn't there.

But even after Fiddlers Green had left, you had stayed. Lucienne and you were the only one's remaining in a realm so empty, that it was almost dead.

"My Lady"

It was Lucienne, who's voice pulled you out of your thoughts.

You quickly turned around, giving her a sad smile, before walking towards her, leaving his throne, that you visited almost every day, behind. The palace was once beautiful and full of life, but now it was empty and silent.

"How are you doing today, Lucienne?", you asked, a sad smile on your face.

"I am quite alright, thank you My Lady", She nodded, as you accompanied her walk through the empty halls of the palace. You peeked around the corner, where the library once was, but it had been gone for years. You doubted that you would ever see it again.

"He will return", Lucienne affirmed , like she did every day.

"I know, my friend. But I can't bear thinking of how much longer it might take", you sighed in return.

"What was that?", you mumbled in confusion, looking around for the source of the jolt.

Lucienne opened her mouth to reply, as a jolt drove through the palace. She quickly grabbed your hand to not loose balance.

"I don't know where it came from", Lucienne said, also not sure what to do.

You quickly grabbed both of her shoulders, looking into her eyes:"You go check the gardens and I will search the Palace"

She only nodded, squeezing your hand one more time, before hastily leaving the palace.

You turned back around, making your way through the palace. After all, not many rooms were still intact. Much to your dismay, you didn't find anything. Nothing had changed. Apart from a few vases that had fallen over due to the jolt, everything remained the same.

When you finally reached the throne room again, you were only met with more broken Pillars and roof beams.

You quietly cursed under your breath, before running up towards the throne to see if it was in tact. Thankfully, it hadn't been harmed. It was the only thing you still had in memory of him. Gently, your hands wandered over the wooden material, letting your fingers wander down the backrest.

Your eyes widened, when the huge Doors in front of you opened. You couldn't belive what you saw in front of you.

You finally stepped back, when you heard voices coming form the hallway. More than confused, you turned around, making your way back down.

A smile slowly formed on your face, as you watched him stepped closer to you. He gingerly reached for your hands, intertwining his fingers with yours. His skin was cool to the touch and he looked pale as always. It felt like nothing had changed, like he hadn't been lost for the last century, like he had never been away.

There was of course Lucienne, but she had a big smile on her face, because next her was none other than Dream the Endless himself. Morpheus, the Sandman, Ruler of the Dreaming.

He had returned.

"My beautiful Queen", Dream murmured. He raised his hand to carefully caress your face. You quickly leaned into his touch, closing your eyes, when you felt a tear slip down my face.

You had missed his touch, his gentle hands, holding yours so softly.

You gently put your hand on top of his, opening your eyes again.

Dream had a sad smile on his face:"I am sorry"

"Don't be", you quickly replied, stepping even closer to him, "It is not your fault"

"But I wasn't there for you, I wasnt there for my realm and I am sorry. Our home... It has withered away"

You carefully searched his eyes to see if he was serious. You didn't find any doubt, so you gently pulled him into a hug. His arms encircled your waisted, pulling you closer. You felt him burry his head in the crook of your neck, his spiky hair gently tickling your skin.

"Dream", you mumbled and cautiously ran your fingers through his hair, "My home...our home, it is not the palace, or the place. It is the people, it Is You, it is Lucienne, the Dreams, your Brothers and Sisters."

Dream slowly parted from you, as you reached out to take his hand:"Home is the People, not the Place. And now that you have returned, I am home"

He smiled gently, pulling you closer to himself.

"Home",he mumbled, before he leaned down, kissing you tenderly. His lips were soft and gentle. It's felt like he had never left in the first place. It felt like fireworks. Like your whole body stopped working and the only thing that mattered was him.

You parted, smiling at him:"Home"
