horror sub-genres • virus horror
virus horror is a sub-genre that defines itself differently than zombie horror. this sub-genre toys with people’s fear of sickness/parasites and the devestating outcome that it could have on society.

After a year of combating a pandemic with relatively benign symptoms, a frustrated nation finally lets its guard down. This is when the virus spontaneously mutates, giving rise to a mind-altering plague. The streets erupt into violence and depravity, as those infected are driven to enact the most cruel and ghastly things they can think of. Murder, torture, rape and mutilation are only the beginning. A young couple is pushed to the limits of sanity as they try to reunite amid the chaos. The age of civility and order is no more. There is only "The Sadness."
Pre-order The Sadness.

thanks for the tag @littled0lls! <3 it took me a minute; I had to get on desktop to format the posters in a way that made sense lol.
My 9 favorite first watches of 2023!!

literally a third of my favs were horror movies, but I was so impressed by them!! I watched them all multiple times. A DISCLAIMER, THOUGH: The Sadness was one of the most fucked up movies I've ever seen, so I would recommend to only the most hardened of horror fans.
I don't have a ton of mutuals, but I'm tagging @fantasticait and @no1mintharadefender if you guys want to do this too! (and obviously any of my other followers who think it seems fun <3)

Finally managed to make a better quality version of this idea I have about Mandroid’s Final Form. In the last episode, when he was on that spire - he had the Malto’s above him, in that spider web thing, right? It was a nice detail that it had those light effects, like energy was travelling through it - I liked that. If FF built or made that, I wonder then if that’s like an extension of how his biology works in the current state he’s in?
Wow… It’s a vibe that the Malto’s were above him. Since he likes to be above others, it speaks volumes about his inner psyche that he place them above himself. Dude really was good but very deep down. Very small details keep suggesting that he had some humanity left at the end.
It’s nice to imagine him inside the mech armour with lights zipping along whatever body he has - maybe denoting his mood or emotional state? I head-canon that when he is stressed out, the lights would look like lightning - or when he’s sleeping, they slow down. When he’s depressed, there’s no lights at all.
Really enjoyed adding this little animation to this image, hopefully this illustrates what I’m trying to say
