Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles has the god-king of video game soundtracks and I will die mad that squeenix took down the rips from the gcn version and then not only didn't upload a replacement but didn't even leave the original English vocals up, because the remaster has a new English vocalist and she is not who I am looking to listen to

Like it's not even a knock on her I just very specifically want to listen to the version of the track I grew up listening to over and over and over and over and over again and there is now absolutely no clean rip of the whole track (the closest that exist have the end cut off for some reason or are otherwise very low quality)

wyllow sage, the same goof ive been drawing for ages, but she now has a new name and design now :) the au has been in development for years, but this is my first post centered on the new storyline of the "TINE/This Is Not the End" au 🫶 (and ofc, she's been renamed for certain reasons HAGASHSV)

and ofc, the TINE au is still in HEAVY development, so some parts of wyllow and the other characters' lore is still missing. some stuff might not make sense yet? so the lore WILL change whenever needed. consider this just an intro into what ideas i have so far :)

basic summary!

[wyllow used to live with her entire family: her two siblings and her parents. she was born a god, her parents being gods themselves. however, after a series of tumultuous events that lead to her death, she is suddenly brought back to life.

unwilling to face her family again, she decides to live completely on her own. she lives in her own apartment and works minimum wage in a gas station, located in a small town in a desert. this just so happened to be minutes away from the new, upcoming, bustling city of las nevadas.]

for things such as what was the cause of her death, and what/who exactly brought her back to life, and why she chose her current lifestyle, i hope i can figure those parts of her story out as i continue developing the TINE au. again, the storyline is still a heavy work in progress, so i currently only have the basic vision of how it might go. :)

the underworld!! ik it's the shortest but each song is such a banger and it's the only one for where each song gets better from the last. all three of the songs are in my top 10 easy.

the polites cameo broke ppl's hearts ik but it was amazing to hear steven in the role again. i love his voice. anticlea was amazing too.

no longer you was actual fire. i LOVE epic's version of tirisias a lot and his voice is perfect. the orchestration in that song is actually beautiful and both actors absolutely kill it.

cyclops saga. i like it but i don't have strong feelings about the songs except for my goodbye. plot wise, it's important ofc but i dont find myself listening to it as often cuz it's just sad. i do like all the songs tho

i LOVE jay's performance here. this song made me cry when i first listened to it. i mean it's just everything.

i think most ppl thought 'oh musical about odyssey call epic probably silly boyish fun' and for the most part horse and the infant leads u on with that. then THIS SONG happens and ur crying on the floor.

i love watching animatics for it too. unlike most songs in epic, there is no action in this song, it's pure agony of a man grappling with one of the hardest things anyone can do and it's fucking amazing.

and i said it before just now but the VOCALS. stunning. perfect. jaw dropping.

in my ideal epic animated movie, what i want is for horse and the infant and just a man BEFORE the title card drop. and when ody sings the last line of just a man, it fades to the title screen. then it would be daytime and full speed ahead can happen.

the lyrics are great as with all the song. the callback to remember them? chef's kiss. poseidon really sat down with his son and took notes for his villain number lol

but my fav things about it the performance. the poseidon voice is so so so so good. and i'm not saying it in a 'haha i find it hot' way. i mean i do but also, it's just perfect for poseidon. he sounds like if salt could talk and that's a compliment btw. his sass and personality is great too.

i love the route jay went with the plot. this portrayal of circe is so important to me, i love her sm. i read the circe book just before the circe saga - and i liked it overall - but the ending left a horrible taste in my mouth so this was a very welcome change.

it's so well done. our boy ody '🥺my wife🥺'-ing his way out of the situation? perfect. ik it's more complicated but the end of the circe saga is such a good character moment for him.

and CIRCE. CIRCE MY QUEEN ILY.

her sympathising with ody and helping him is great. i love that she gets fleshed into, why she does what she does and when she sees the good in ody. she really is a loving queen and i love her sm.

her vocals - especially at the end - are stunning. i love tayla sindal's voice for circe. like with poseidon, that is the perfect voice for the character.

i really love gigi's animatic of this song and that's just how i imagine it happening. it's actually perfect. my fav song was a tie between this and done for but the animatic made me fall in love with this one.

Today I dreamed that Nintendo officially announced that Mother 3 would never release Mom3 outside Japan...

HOWEVER!

They would be making an animated movie and the madmen proceeded to drop the trailer immediately.

It opened with a slow, sad version of 8 melodies and a boy (Lucas, but we couldn't see hus face yet) kneeling, crying at his mom's grave, then a fade out to various parts of the prologue like Hinawa sending the letter to Flint, then Flint and co. finding the turned apart piece of Hinawa's dress before it cut to the announcement of her death, Lucas mutters "Mom...", just as if you talk to him during the prologue.

Screen goes black, love theme starts kicking in with "3 years later..." reading on screen, and we get a remaster(?) of the post-time skip intro cut scene followed by a quick introduction to our main characters' in full resolution joined by some of their moments👏...

Until pigmask crash in and ofc, clue to Porky's porkies as a montage rolls to show they the opposing force to the protagonist and trailer ends with a teaser of the masked man in the shadows, swinging his sword to snap the movie's title and release date.

Also: yes, world-wide release, and Itoi himself was the co-writer and co-director.

A/n : THIS ONE IS FOR THE COD AND SLASHER FANS ,Scream [1,2,5 and 6 ] and Halloween Ends spoilers. Not proof read. I'm writing this at work waiting for the lunch rush to pick up so mistakes are bound to happen ,I'll edit them later if needed (let me know if I should add you to the tag list for future characters! - 🤍🩰🧸)

Price : He definitely a perfect mixture of mama Loomis and Detective Bailey. Some of Ms.Loomis craziness. Obviously has Bailey's strength,speed and skills. Has both of their determination of killing those he thinks deserve it and making it gets done no matter what. He'd do whatever it takes. You killed his sons afterall (the rest of 141 ofc)

He's not your average clumsy Ghostface. No,no he's something more something that should more feared then your regular old Ghostface

He's quick with the kills. His kills are aggressive and bloody not showing any mercy

How he'd act when not as Ghostface: once again definitely like Detective Bailey. Acting all sweet trusting, offering all his help to "find" and "takedown" this masked killer. That he'd completely removed from the suspect list .

Horangi: for Horangi we finna go classic this man is like Billy Loomis with , bit of Stu Macher The boy next door vibes . He would have the same wit as Billy fully aware and sharp about everything. Studying everything and everyone for own sick little game afterwards,ready for the kills. He full out plan for everything. Has "great" reasoning for why he's killing all of his own friends.

I don't think he'd be clumsy like Billy or Stu though. He's be fairy quick lot of strength of course

His kills would be simple but well done . Ends up doing lot of damage . I'm thinking a fast throat slit or a knife to the back

How he'd act when not a Ghostface : Yes he's smart about everything but this goofball would struggle on making himself not look suspicious asf. Finding the situation amusing ,gigging to himself,making bad jokes at the wrong times just like Stu

Gaz: okay, okay tbh for Gaz? He screams Corey Cunningham vibes which I know isn't Scream, yes I know Corey is from Halloween Ends. So basically with Gaz it's Halloween but make it Scream. He just vibes just cute soft boy vibes. The kid everyone loves because he's so sweet and caring, up until people start taking advantage of his kindness making him snap and hate the world along with everyone in it . Everyone but you of course. Offing everyone who wronged the both of you,because he loves you and would do anything for you. He'd burn the world down if he'd have to.

If you've seen Halloween Ends then you'd know exactly how gory the kills were so as said before it's Halloween but makes it Scream . He'd use whatever he has around him to kill. A flamethrower happens near him ? Bet ya ass he's gonna that flamethrower . His kills would so stomach twisting

How he'd act when not as Ghostface: Just like Ethan did in Scream 6. He'd act all innocent and shy. He'd act he's scared and doesn't know what's going on.

Graves : Just like Richie Kirsch (Scream 5) . Should definitely be shoved in the "loony bin" . Acts clueless and innocent. Makes it seem like he no idea of what's happening. A gaslighting girl boss . No seriously he does a shit ton of gaslighting . Making not trust your loved ones and even yourself. Brutal and strong with the kills but becomes a whinning puppy once you get the upper hand against him

He won't hesitate to break a few bones,stab repeatedly. Although he's violent the dumb ass is clumsy and maybe not smartest it comes making sure you'd free yourself so you end getting away and killing him after all.

How he'd act when not as Ghostface: Like mentioned earlier acts like the clueless boyfriend, acts like he knows nothing about horror movies or the recurring killings. Constantly suggest leaving town because he's "scared" .

i have been playing the cute RPG maker game CHANGED which is, at least on paper, extremely my niche of thing that i love. its ofc course a furry fetish game, which generally it would be watever. but on top of that is *furry forced TF by way of goo absorption* which presses basically all of my buttons. on top of that there are of course elements of vore, mind control, forced impregnation, oviposition, belly stuffing and possibly even hand holding. so yeah, i was 100% in. i was ready to play this and have both my mind and my pants blown. i even paid 3 dollars to actually have it on steam!

but there were a couple of problems with it. i played mainly the original game instead of the remastered version, so the art was very rough, the game elements were extremely clunky, there were a lot of very amateur game designer mistakes and quality of life problems with it and on top of all that, the fundamental conceit of the game was a bit dissapointing.

when i saw a youtube short talking about the game i got the impression that the TF sequences were like power ups or different phases or tools that your character would be "forced" to use in order to progress through the game. instead it turns out that the objective is to *avoid* being transformed, which sucks a lot of the fun from the idea. now you can only enjoy the tantalizing moments for a few seconds after getting a kill screen and you cant really properly enjoy it because you are frustrated that you lost.

the point of the game is to die a lot and get to enjoy the tf sequences over and over, which is a known game model in the past. games where the diying animation is kind of the point of the game.

but honestly, the game gets so hard at times, its challenges so mindnumbingly frustrating, that it almost feels like covert conversion therapy. it creates this incredibly strong association in your head between seeing furry porn and being incredibly annoyed and frustrated. which again, was made all the worse by the fact that i didnt catch on this being the early clunkier version and that there was a cooler, better made, more slick remake.

by the point i realized i was too far along to want to replay the whole game again, this time with a few tiny improvements.

all the same, the concept is still solid and it did give me an excuse to draw these sketches so im glad for that.

8. I've long been a fan of Sara Bareilles, especially her song Fairytale. My (lovely, amazing, beautiful) mother used to play her music a lot around the house when I was younger, when her songs Love Song and Brave were doing really well so I guess I have fond memories. Sunday in London by Kids That Fly gives me really sweet Sherlock & Co. energy. It's super sunny + lighthearted so not very murder-y but it kind of reminds me of the fun Sherlock-John-Mariana dynamic that works so well in the pod.

I don't know if you're a Merlin fan but The Ends and The Means by Robby Hecht never fails to remind me of what Albion is in my head. I don't know if it's the descriptions of a king + kingdom, the soft nature vibes, or something else but whatever it is-- I eat that shit up.

Hey seeing your ds games post, I felt it was important to let you know that the kingdom hearts games all build off of each other story wise like a long book series.

If you go into either of those kh games you will be lost storywise if you haven’t played (or watched) the prior games before.

Kh 358/2 days takes place time wise before 2, but is meant to be played after and fleshes out some of kh2’s new characters.

Re:Coded takes place after kh2 timeline wise but should be played after Birth by sleep bc it has some references to that game, tho not enough that you would really understand or be spoiled if you went in without playing that one. Re:coded also recaps a chunk of kh1 bc of it’s premise and directly references Re:chain of memories plot stuff.

Both of these games have voiced and remastered cutscene only versions as part of the 1.5+2.5 kh game collection. Which condenses them both into basically short movies, and in fact has a new cutscene for re:coded, bc why not. (Shame these aren’t full remasters of the ds games but oh well)

Personally I think the cutscene collection of kh Days cuts (and abridges) too much in terms of story and looses much without the gameplay. People overall are mixed on the actual gameplay tho since it’s a mission based game vs kh’s normal fair, plus some other things about how abilities and such work. I personally really like the gameplay, and have replayed the game a few times through, but if it really doesn’t jive with you I recommend the cutscene collection bc it does still do a decent job of telling the story and getting you attached to the characters.

Re:Coded is weird bc as a ds game it’s already a remake of an episodic? I think, 3D mobile game they had in Japan (bc square was making a bunch of those at the time), and I think gameplay wise it’s an okay kh game. Platforming and game pacing overall is a bit clunky tho. The cutscene collection version I think is a fine way to experience it since the game kinda bounces around in quality but I’d say give it a shot if you’ve got the opportunity perhaps. I do think it also cuts a bit more than I’d like from the original game’s cutscenes (especially towards the end) but not as much or to the same detriment as days.

Sorry this really is a long ask just to basically say you should play the kh games in order of release for optimal like, story impact and understanding. But if you just want to play the games in a different order I wouldn’t stop you. I’m certain there’s plenty of people out there that started the series with either of these games bc they were on ds.

we'll see how the poll shakes out and depending on the result i will look into getting the kh remasters since they just came out! i wanna give the story the respect it deserves by getting the pieces of it in order. now putting them all together is a different beast but that can come later

It's really something to see, again, endless and sterile debates about what is rock and what isn't. From where I'm wandering in the internet lately, and it includes Ghost's fandom, here's what I see:

Spiritbox doing a collab with Megan Thee Stallion is enough to categorise the band as not heavy enough and thus not truly metal and ofc no one talk about the song itself which is- like- good ?? I love the contrasts brought by the variety of sounds in both version of the song. Grammys having Olivia Rodrigo nominated for the "best rock song" award, with a song which... Maybe it is time to recognise that the richness you can find in rock/metal include pop and electro (and more). Maybe it's time to let other genres play with rock/metal codes too. Why should it be a problem ? You have crappy rock/metal perfo without pop and electro influences in it so I highly doubt this is what's dragging the genres down. I see Ghost fans spitting venom on Olivia Rodrigo's Grammy nomination in that "rock song" category. Ghost is using pop codes like it's nothing and y'all are trying to play the purists ? You're doing exactly what Ghost's haters do and you're the first to go cry when someone say Ghost is a pop rock Scooby-Doo ish band. The hypocrisy.

You can be a metal band and collab with a popstar. You can be a popstar and do a rock song. You can be a band playing with rock and pop codes at the same time. I see nothing wrong with that. And that's why I enjoy so much SKZ take on what makes a song sounds and feels rock nowadays without doing an actual rock song. Mixing trendy sounds, catchy melodies, and still experimenting, not fearing to make bpm and melodies changes, creating something different, something that screams "that's us" before sticking to one genre. Funnily enough, the main criticise they get is that they're not doing music but noises, they are too loud while keep doing their thing and growing despite evolving in a very formatted industry. On paper, they aren't rock artists, right. But fuck it, who cares ? Same to Megan Thee Stallion, Olivia Rodrigo... I don't fucking care anymore.

It's a Ghost fanblog so let's talk a bit more about them. Their Grammy nomination and people's opinion about it is telling a lot. First thing first, well, the Grammy- 🤡 Then, being nominated for a cover of Iron Maiden is definitely something you can flex about, yes, but also nominating them for this precise cover in the "best metal performance" makes me... Conflicted. Like, Iron Maiden, Metal's icons, revisited by Ghost sends both a signal of "let's keep things like Iron Maiden does" but also "let's renew this good old shit". I think they 100% deserve to win the award, like every other nominees in this category, sincerely.

I guess the conclusion of this frenchy-grump-dump is: stop being boring and play gatekeepers, that's the one thing that'll kill your fav music genre. Stillness is the death of every form of art. Let it feed and being fed by other stuff. You don't like it ? Go back to your old loves and wait to see what comes next. You might fall for something new soon or later, who knows.

Hi! I havent played the tlou game myself but i watched gameplays of it. And i think I might have skipped the part where Joel found the files and audio tapes where they mentioned about the people they killed before Ellie. (I skipped the gamplay a little because it was 11 house long 😅) I was wondering if you know where I can look for it. It's interesting that the Fireflies kept a record of it.

So you can find some here. Note that it's a remastered version, before other remastered versions. Some people argue that on the PS3 it was even different, I personally don't know about that one, because I didn't have a PS3. You can find the files on Youtube here. Important to note that yes, it's made very vague how many people and what kind of people they experimented on. Obviously animals and infected people. But let's also note that it's implied that they've worked on this for years, talking about different stages of infection, varying components to their tests and all: we can only speculate since it's never clearly stated, but they experimented a lot, and probably not just on infected people. It's purposely left vague for reasons, and again and again it shows how The Fireflies were failing. There is also this quote "All of our sacrifices and the hundreds of men and women who've bled for this cause, or worse, will not be in vain." you could interpret it as the Fireflies' sacrifices, their men and women fighting against FEDRA. But it could also totally mean totally different things since it comes from Jerry Anderson, aka, the guy who was doing experiments on people to find a cure. Again, the game never clarifies on these issues, so it's basically up to the player's interpretation on the moment. Yknow, while you're in the hospital, with people doing scientifical experimentation. https://thelastofus.fandom.com/wiki/Surgeon%27s_recorder Now ofc there is this recording and you could argue that you're supposed to see it as OH BUT ELLIE IS DIFFERENT, but they also make Jerry Anderson, aka the main surgeon who was supposed to work on Ellie, literally say he didn't even KNOW where Ellie's immunity was coming from or how it was working? ("The cause of her immunity is uncertain.") And we're supposed to believe he was capable of doing anything constructive? But it clearly shows as well how desperate they were, and how they were counting their time. It also states how they hadn't had any breakthrough in their researches in 5 years, again, explaining their desperation when coming face to face with some scientifical curiosity like Ellie. I gotta give it to them, contrary to the show for example, the recordings show that at least they did some basic tests on Ellie before drawing conclusions. But as these tests' results and Jerry's interpretation of it show ("The cause of her immunity is uncertain."), they still don't even know how Ellie's immunity works, yet they're minutes away from killing her, basically taking a shot in the dark? (to note: this recording is found by Joel in the hospital itself, it really is the result of the doctor's last researches on Ellie). But the recordings (like this one and that one) also show how there were glaring evidences of the Fireflies having dissidence within their own ranks, how many officers saw their leaders as incompetent and delusional. It's important to note that these recordings are found at the University, so equivalent of when Joel gets hurt at the end of 1x06: the guy in the recording clearly states that their best equipment is here, at the University, with the lab equipment. Not where the Fireflies fled (after several attacks by infected -- and maybe even because of their own researches, because of the monkeys they infected for their experiments??), in the hospital where you end the game. It gives context to everything that lead the Fireflies into acting as they did when they got Ellie. It's not clear cut and it never was in the first game, but they clearly had added complicated layers to this whole cunnundrum, on both sides. You weren't meant to blindly trust the Fireflies. The game purposely put elements in its own narrative to make the player question their motives and their abilities to reach their goal. It was meant to be weighed against the very real fact of having Ellie die in the process. I guess it's up to everyone's interpretation *shrugs* and it was, until Neil Druckmann popped in, erasing anything that wasn't fitting his narrative.

Tristan’s Hawk

This story will be a little bit more tame than my other ones. It's a rewrite and remaster of my original that I wrote back in 2007. It's very near and dear to my heart, so I don't plan on abandoning it since I've been trying for about ten years now to "get it right" and I feel like this version is the absolute best it can be.

She needs to find a way to break the curse and return home before he realizes just how much control he really has. Unfortunately, all too quickly, things become a lot more complicated when the heart is thrown into the mix.

Warnings: Canon typical violence. Most likely eventual smut. But I’m not near that part yet.
