Ok, you seem like someone who has also been pissed about the Titanic tours since they were first announced. Am I going crazy, or did Oceangate originally advertise that people who bought a ticket would "assist in the recovery and conservation of objects"? Because I clearly remember reading that on their website at some point, but it's no longer there, and the tin can they wound up sending down has no ability to recover anything.

oh yeah no, oceangate just seem so fucking sketchy.

like going through their website, everything just feels off. like its all written correctly and sounds like it could be a thing they do, but even when talking about specific things, the writing feels generic. like its not elizabeth holmes level, but im still not sure what exactly they do after reading the page.

i remember something about that and about recovering objects which is a whole mess in itself? like as far as i know, you can just legally take objects from the titanic, but that really does not mean you should.

and yeah, as you said, looking at their submersibles, im not sure how they plan to get any of them? like we have lifted things from the titanic but you need a lot more equipment than their tin can submersible.

of course, theres also the fact that the submersible was missing for eight hours before they called the coast guard which uh, getting some costa concordia and oceanos vibes from that. considering how little oxygen they have, id argue wasting eight hours is manslaughter if they dont find them.

and also, that fucking submersible should never have been sent down anyway. it dodged every regulation because it would never pass it and they didnt even put a fucking evp on it???????? every vessel should have goddamn evp.

Soooo Jason as Red Hood in Titans works out of an abandoned dilapidated building in Gotham's underbelly, with a full setup, chasing and putting down thugs and baddies, is in contact with Babs (who is the Commissioner) and Dick (for favors and sidequests for the new Robin), charges percentage from Babs over cases solved, which means HE MADE THE COPS PAY HIM, and presumably he is that Outlaw that gets stuff outsourced to him via Batman/Barbara - and the villain in question is Shimmer, who was taken down by Donna and Kori via info from Roy aka ARGUS back in S2, which all kinds of means -

Jason established a network he is a part of but as an Outlaw, and his own person. In Gotham. As Red Hood. With pay. With guns.

I am happy to provide that elaboration, Anon.

Sex with a glowing one is definitely the "triple black diamond" of ghoul fucking; done at a not-insubstantial level of personal risk, but quite the thrill if you do it right. They're so radioactive that they irradiate the immediate area around them, meaning you're taking on rads like the Titanic taking on ice water from the moment you come close enough to even touch them.

If you value the health of your organs, do NOT imbibe any of their bodily fluids in any way, down to swallowing too much saliva. You may feel tempted to push this early on, to test what the limits are for only fairly close contact, but don't be shocked when something as minor as losing track of the length of a makeout session leads to you spitting blood and feeling less than stellar. Older non-glowing ghouls have higher amounts of radiation in their fluids, as well, but at levels that are moreso concerning in the medium and long-term. Rad-X will help some, but I imagine the limits of its efficacy would be tested in a situation like this. If you're gonna take it, you might plan to do so about every fifteen minutes; otherwise, I hope you're shooting for a quickie!

Honestly, I know that it seems like about 95% of ghouls who make it to the glowing stage either become feral or they're so decayed mentally that they're practically there, but...that remaining 5% would be absolute menaces in bed in terms of stamina. In my mind, radiation is literally re-energizing for ghouls in addition to being a source of increased healing. As glowing ones produce their own radiation, well...it's basically perpetual sex energy, yeah? I imagine you'll be in a Brannigan-esque "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is spongy and weak" sort of spot long before your radiant lover is ready to tap out.

I think that choosing to sleep with a glowing ghoul would definitely not be an option for the less rad-resistant (unless, of course, you're especially suicidal or self-hating; being wracked with radiation sickness or covered in burns isn't particularly fun or erotic to most). With older or more radioactive ghouls who haven't advanced to the glowing stage, outercourse or heavy petting/making out might still be an option up to a certain point, but if you have no personal defense against radiation, you may as well pop an unshielded power core into one of your orifices instead. You'll take less rads and possibly die less painfully.

The ideal partner for a glowing one, at least in terms of "safety compatibility", is another ghoul. Or, you know, a 10 Endurance human with an absurd supply of Radaway.

I would love if some of the critics of Destiny 2, and most recently the harsh critics of the Lightfall campaign, would listen to that one line over and over and over again.

While many stories often have meaning and lessons behind them, did you ever stop to consider to just sit back and enjoy? The Witness's prior existence as an entire species was wiped out because it could not just sit back and enjoy what was right in front of it.

They sought to impose meaning where there was none and have destroyed so much in the process.

Civilizations, planets, people... and now so many Guardians and characters we hold dear.

This is what seems to be happening to the Destiny 2 community these days. It is so focused on what it purports to not have rather than focus on what it does: an incredible world built by some of the most talented game developers in the world.

Why hold this back? This should have been the last cutscene in Lightfall. Destiny 2 is in the worst shape its ever been.

How about looking at what's right in front of you? Just over a month ago, we were all thrilled at the addition of two new unique seasonal activities AND they added fishing AND they brought back a beloved NPC AND started unveiling the mystery of the veil by connecting us to a prior piece of lore about a creature on Titan. How fuckin' rad is all of that in ONE season?

Not just that but why not let them unfold the mystery they want to unfold as they unfold it? Why do they have to answer to what certain "lore daddys" consider to be poor storytelling?

If anyone who works on Destiny 2 sees this: I think your game is so awesome. I think the story you are telling is amazing. And I really appreciate everything you've placed before me.

People often look for meaning in the meaningless, look for what's not there instead of what is, and often miss the love, community, and awesome stuff that is happening right in front of their eyes.

Video games are entertainment. Let them entertain you.

okay so, Dionysus definitely cares about the campers and the camp itself.

It shows when he heals Chris Rodriguez from the bout of insanity, it shows when he grieves for Castor and asks Percy to look after Pollux.

I like to think his kids also care like that

they care so deeply for their close friends and family that it hurts sometimes

Dionysus can't show it normally anymore because he's seen so many hopeful kids get their spirits crushed.

he's also seen them die. countless times.

if gods could dream, Dionysus would be plagued with haunting nightmares.

Dionysus kids are really good with plants, but not as good as Persephone or Demeter kids

They're also the type of people who say "I listen to anything!" for music and they mean it.

At camp, he's attentive with his children, listening to their issues, giving advice if they want it and a distraction if they need it.

I've previously said I think the cabins got a major upgrade at the end of the titan war thanks to annabeth, I believe.

prior to that, Cabin twelve feels the most homely.

This has been wedged in my head for the past few days. What started out as a depressing Bertolt and Armin concept art I was doing ended up as goofy Armin Tybur doodles. Idek. This was gonna be some heavy emotionless Armin interacting with Bert in the paths but changed up real quick after I started doing the lineart for them. I legitimately did not rly put much thought into the weird doodles in between lmao.😭 the Eremin one was intentional but the rest was pulled outta nowhere. Poor Miché lol, at least he gets to live in this silly AU. Also don’t question Armin’s Titan design💀 I pulled inspo from one of my Armin fic ideas in which he turned into the warhammer instead of the colossus and trying to come up with a design was already hard so I kept it simple. Ik it looks goofy but pretend it looks rad in this.

Does anyone remember the Armin theory Era? Legit question bc I feel like only ten of us actually theorized on Armin getting a bigger backstory later on but we never got one lmao. There was the “Armin is a Tybur” theory which made the base of this, but it would’ve been wild if he really was. Ok now I'm curious. You mentioned the fire of the RMS Republic in your notes, but the only information I'm finding about her involves a collision? Was there another ship by the same name that also met a bad end?

ye no, i mixed up the republic with the lakonia somehow. it was actually a collision with ss florida.

im not really sure how i mixed them up honestly because why the rms republic is so important in the story of titanic is that iirc there was only seven casualties and it was essentially all down to the marconi wireless operator. and like, itd be much harder to do that with a ship on fire.

at the time, they were still moreso used as a novelty for passengers to send messages home, but when the ship collided with ss florida, the marconi wireless operator jack binns (sometimes listed as john r binns) used it to contact other ships. and that was the first time it ever happened in history.

though the florida had taken on most of the passengers, they were now dangerously overloaded, but binns was able to contact the rms baltic and using flares and the marconi, he was able to guide them through the fog to the republic.

this was 1903 and unfortunately, it created more confidence in maritime safety than ever before. within a decade, the idea of the unsinkable ship is taking off. and basically, after this, people believed that massive disasters on the north atlantic route, like the titanic, were a thing of the past. the only change was mandating a marconi officer available 24 hours a day.

binns was actually offered the job of marconi operator on the titanic but he was getting married and wanted a job that kept him home.

This whole scene of Sonic receiving the new forms was so tense, mostly cause I didn't know what it would look like and how it might affect his body, but he managed to get through it, also while looking rad as hell while doing so.

And those purple eyes? Holy shit, my heart was in my chest when he opened his eyes and wasn't saying a thing while he took down the Egg titan.
