I scrolled through a bit of your blog, and it brought me to tears. I wish the best for you in life, thank you for allowing us to see life through your eyes
Iv'e thought a lot about your response to reading a bit of my blog. The fact that it brought you to tears is is amazing to me. Other readers of my blog have messaged me that they also been brought to tears. My life has been rugged but at the same time beautiful. Its inherent intensity motivates the writing and the posting of it to the world. To me, it's a story which is at times painful to communicate. But, I'm glad I can write it in a way that can move you to such intense emotion.

So y’all know the classic edge trope of “my blade cannot be sheathed until it has tasted blood”? What if a magic sword that has that requirement, except it’s sort of inverted. A sword that, instead of being inhabited by an evil spirit which once awakened cannot be lulled back to sleep except by blood sacrifice, was inhabited by a benevolent spirit who would not allow the sword to be drawn unless bloodshed were the only possible solution. A sword whose power could never be misused because it would only allow itself to be used in situations where it was justified. What about a Paladin who spends their entire journey fighting with a sheathed sword, incapacitating but never killing or maiming. The party believes that the Paladin has taken an oath of no killing, until they face the big villain. And it is in that moment, and that moment alone, that the sword will allow itself to be drawn.
Idk, this image set my mindwheels a-turning.

But do y’all see the vision?

I have to add to this
Near the end of her career, my mom was a high school librarian for a couple of years. Real mixed population at her school - intense audition-entry arts program, IB, remedial classes, and everything in between.
One day a remedial gr 11 english class is left with her with no warning, so the teacher can attend an emergency meeting. She asks, "What are you working on? Reading the class novel, which is The Hobbit? Awesome I love that book, I'll read some aloud for you."
One boy, who she knew as disruptive but not bad-natured, got more and more restless as she read (the Gollum scene ofc!), and finally left the room. At the end of the class time, he came to apologize. "Sorry I left Miss, but you were reading it and doing the voices and ... it was making pictures in my head!!"
16 years old and this kid had never used his imagination before.
I still tear up every time I think about it.

This tweet lives rent-free in my head now. Hands-down the best comment about the relationship between art and artist.

The Power of Story...
Imagination is freedom — it can transform the world. Here’s a wonderful story told by Robert Hass, about the power of imagination in action in one of the direst times in our collective history. “I’ll tell you a story that may or may not be true because it belongs to the history of marvels. The French poet Robert Desnos was in Buchenwald not because he was a poet but because he was a Jew. The story is that Desnos and all the men in his barracks were marched to a room and told to strip in preparation for being deloused in an adjoining room. They understood what that meant, and Desnos turned to the man next to him and said, “I read fortunes. Let me see your palm.” The man, stoop-shouldered, eyes wet with fear, held up his palm. Desnos looked at it and shook his head. A long lifeline, he said, but I see trouble in business down the line and trouble with your daughter. The man, stunned at first, laughed. And others laughed. And soon all the men in the room were standing around naked, laughing, with tears in their eyes, reading one another’s palms. The guards were so disconcerted that they ordered the men to get dressed and marched them back to their barracks. The next day a transfer order came through and many were sent to a work camp and some survived to tell the story. Desnos was not among the survivors. Surrealism began with the idea that freedom of imagination could transform life, and in this instance, if the story is true, it did.” – Robert Hass, from What Light Can Do Via: Hiro Boga

DPxDC crossover but, instead of Danny being his ghostly-horror self, the justice league believe that he's just some guy.
Danny: *glowing eyes, sharp teeth, aura of eldritch being*
Villain: You're seeing this right?
Justice league: *turns around to find all the ghostly stuff gone* oh that's Danny *waves* hi Danny!
Villain: ...are you being serious right now?
It's not even that he's doing it on purpose, it's just anytime he does ghost things none of the heros are looking, and when they do have him in their sights he's just a normal person.
It probably wouldn't work for batman and his thousand cameras, but let's just say that it never got his attention cause no one in the league thought to mention it and the one time he did check it was just regular dude hours.
To the Justice league Danny is the humanist human to ever human.
Which is why they are so confused as to why this small branch of the government (mad scientist parents optional) is so sure he isn't.

“… and one of many shields of protection he built around himself as a storyteller…” - gorgeous prose
I’ve often thought of myself as Arthur’s Elaine, weaving safety out of stories…

HOW I MANIFESTED MY DREAM REALITY IN A DAY
WHAT I MANIFESTED:
- name change
- trilingualism
- 5”10 height
- thin and slender body
- a RAGING golden tan
- face like adriana lima’s
- top grades + intelligence
- dp has a FAT crush on me
HOW I DID IT:
- robotic affirmations in my head (for example repeating ‘I have everything I desire’ over and over in my head whenever I’m free throughout the day)
- visualizing
- law of assumption
- the belief that I am God and I am the creator of my own reality
- PERSIST, PERSIST, AND PERSIST SOME MORE I SWEAR TO GOD THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING
- being crazy delulu
I never actually used the void state for this, because I found that putting the void state on a pedestal was limiting my beliefs. Please refrain from thinking too much about the void or from putting it on a pedestal because this can really hinder your progress. Remember, you are the void. The void is inside you. You don’t need to ‘enter’ it because it is already there!
That’s it, just remember to have a positive mindset and be literally as delusional as you possibly can be. Worked for me!! This took about a whole day to work, and the next day I woke up and it was all manifested (sounds crazy but it’s true and I literally started jumping and squealing like a five year old when I realised it worked). Most importantly, remember that manifesting is supposed to be fun, so go have fun and enjoy yourself!! :)

The stewards of the old world are always keen to give you a glimpse of their might... According to legend, the ancients built specialized chambers to seal away false prophets.
The Arcane is waking up.

Scary Sunset.
I'm concepting things way outta order in this story, but I'm sure you can piece things together. Context is for a storybeat where, after defeating and capturing Adagio (thus having all three sirens in her possession), Sunset enacts her revenge plot to release the sirens on Canterlot as Thea discovers she's been manipulated. In a confrontation, the two scuffle and fight over the siren orbs while Sunset struggles with her conflicting wants and emotions.

one thing abt thalia and percy's dynamic that is often overlooked is that percy was punished for the same things thalia was rewarded for. there's a prophecy abt one of the big three kids? percy is treated like a liar and thief and ppl refuse to talk to him. thalia? everyone respects her (including gods!) and assumes she'll do a great job saving the world. thalia is accepted immediately at camp and threatens the place percy spent two years proving he deserves. percy wants to go on a quest to save his friend? he's an attention seeker and glory stealer. thalia? well, she's the obvious choice. thalia comes up w a plan to win capture the flag that's basically "leave everything to me" and percy comes up with a plan that's basically "if you see a good opportunity, go for it," but percy is viewed as the control freak.
what i'm saying is percy had every reason to resent thalia and he didn't. he chose not to. and thalia had every reason to look down on percy and didn't.
even when they were fighting, i never saw it as a power struggle. they were being pit against each other, and instead of doing what everyone expected them to (kronos was fully expecting thalia to kill percy), they chose to love and respect each other. because they're not their parents. they're just two kids who started cracking under the pressure but refused to break.

On The 14th of June 1946 a baby boy was born In the Jamaica district of Queens, New York.
In 1995 his car had a flat tire. A black man noticed the owner was wearing a suit, so he stepped in and fixed the flat.
"How can I repay you?" asked the gentleman. "My wife has always wanted some flowers," the man says.
A few days later, the man's wife received a beautiful bouquet of flowers with a note saying, "Thanks for helping me... By the way, the mortgage on your house is paid off."
A United States Marine spent 7 months in a Mexican prison on a minor charge. He was beaten. After he was returned to America, the man from Queens sent him a check for $25,000, "To get you started."
A black bus driver saved a suicidal girl from jumping off a bridge. The man from Queens sent him a check for $10,000
A rabbi's critically ill son needed to get from NYC to California for special care but no airlines would fly him. The generous man from Queens used his private jet to fly the child.
