I don't know if I'm asking in the right place, but I see that you recommend some really good fics to read. I've read some of the ones in your masterpost and I'm really happy. I'd like to know if you can recommend me some Mikey fics. He's my favorite character and I really like reading fics centered on him (especially if they're angst-based), but I've read so many and at the same time I feel like I'm missing a lot.

TMNT 2012 Fanfic Summary: Mikey wasn't insane. He knew he wasn't. He really did have three brothers and a father, no matter what his paperwork said. So I guess... we all have issues has a chapter count of 22 chapters, and a word count of 112k words. As it turns out, quite a lot.

Song of a Sunny Day is part of a series called Revelations Timeline AU. In this series, the same story is explored through the four POV's of the brothers. This one is Mikey's POV on the story. Song of a Sunny Day has a chapter count of 50 chapters, and a word could of 113.5k words. Song of a Sunny Day is completed, and the other POV's in the series are not.

Rottmnt X 2012 fanfic Summary: Mikey squinted when he saw his reflection. He didn’t look normal. The face staring back at him was incredibly familiar, like having déjà vu. Round face, freckled cheeks, orange mask, big blue eyes. Hadn’t he drawn this yokai earlier? The filmy layer on the screen crept away, starting from the outer edges, creeping towards the center, revealing the face behind. It was a turtle mutant of sorts. Big eyes, medium length black hair, yellow freckles, and an orange bandana tied around his neck. The stranger’s eyes widened as he stared at Mikey, expression full of curiosity. In a flash of blinding light, the two switch places, a Mikey and a Mikey, in two separate worlds. Or: Rottmnt Mikey swaps places with 2012 Mikey, and the two go through life changing events. Rottmnt Mikey has to help banish the Krang a second time, in a new universe, while 2012 Mikey uncovers a mystery within his newfound family, potentially tearing them apart.

Its Not Abuse If They're Family is a crossover fanfic between Rottmnt and 2012. The story follows only the POV's of Rottmnt Mikey, and 2012 Mikey. Its not Abuse if They're Family is a newer fic, and currently has a chapter count of under five chapters, and a word count of around 28.5k words.

Rottmnt AU idea: Secondary Powers

You know how Leo somehow knows what a person would do/who they are that his predictions are almost prophetic? What if that's an actual power.

What if all the turtles have special abilities that are borderline mystic but it goes way deeper, and it's subconscious.

Raph has telekinetic powers in regards to the mind. He is able to create a vast and complex mind scape for himself, and also connect to his family telepathically. It comes out in the form of "mind Raph". He can use it to check up on his brothers and give them advice.

Leo and Donnie, twins that they are, have the same ability but used differently. They can predict the future.

Leo can predict the future in regards to a person. He can look at someone and he can tell you everything about them. He can predict their actions and his claims are always right. But it only works on people.

Donnie can predict the future in regards to situations. He has contingency plans for everything. He knows what can happen in the future when it comes to situations, like his family being trapped in rubble. So he creates inventions to prepare for those situations.

Mikey's powers is the ability to make people listen to him, like a sort of compelling spell. He can get people to do what he wants, usually through his words. It's subtle, but sometimes it's very "in your face", like Dr Delicate Touch. When he tells someone to do something, they will do it.

Either this is an AU or a theory, I think it fits well with what we see in Rise. You can't tell me that these four turtles don't have special powers other than their ninpo, especially with all the shenanigans they predict, get into, and get out of.

just finished watching rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles and brother How is it one of the best shows ive seen in the past few years. i had never had any interest in tmnt because it looked like just another action franchise i DEFINITELY wasnt the target audience of, (comparing it to something like, i dont know, the power rangers or transformers) but rottmnt has absolutely blown me away... its visually stunning, unique, compelling, and even without following previous iterations i could tell just how much love the creators have for these goddamned turtles and i feel as if fans both new and old can enjoy it. as someone who had essentially no previous knowledge, it felt like a good introduction to the world as well!!

and yeah it has its flaws here and there but overall it was an amazing experience and id recommend this show 9/10 like if youre even slightly interested, giving it a shot will be worth your while :^]

Personal thoughts on chapter below cut (Contains Spoilers)

To start off, I'd like to talk about the chapter name. Mandarin Oranges. Mandarin oranges are symbolic for good fortune, happiness, and wealth, so it would make sense that Splinter would want them for the Shrine, especially since giving mandarin oranges to others is originally a Japanese custom.

In regards to how it fits as a chapter name, it could just be that the boys going and buying mandarin oranges led to them seeing the happenings at the Nexus Hotel. It could also be more symbolic than that. The oranges are supposed to bring good fortune. Seeing the Nexus Hotel get attacked was actually in their favor, especially with who attacked it. Anyways, moving on before I spoil something XD.

I absolutely adore the designs the boys have in this fic!! Different, yet similar to what I've seen before.

I literally can't get over how much I love the atheistic design of how scenes are separated!

I mean, look at that!! It looks like chains!! Very cool in my opinion.

The novelty treat fell to the ground as Raph rushed to shield his brothers. It had been sheer instinct. A muscle memory carved into his very bones. The loud sound of something exploding had him grabbing his brothers and holding them close faster than the ice cream bar could hit the sidewalk.

While reading this bit, I was distinctly reminded of the many times in rise where Raph easily scoops up all three of his brothers to carry them around, hold them, and hug them. How easily he can fit all three in his arms. Then I realized he's only holding two brothers, and my heart hurt.
