the lack of jack and claire interactions is genuinely such a travesty, and not just because 1, they’re both cas / tfw’s kids and 2, because i love them both dearly, but because THEY DIRECTLY PARALLEL SAM AND DEAN!!!
claire is driven by parental grief and revenge, she holds grudges, is stubborn and quick to anger, is queer and searches for purpose and drive through hunting, finding comfort in violence but also having self-destructive tendencies.
jack has powers literally no one else has, he’s important to lucifer, and angels and demons in general. he’s a kind and well-meaning person with the potential for great evil, and is misunderstood and mistreated because of what he is / what he can do.
he’s also young and naive, juxtaposed with claire who is also young and naive but has a lot of harrowing and character-building life experience. she’s a character often made into the daughter, or the younger sister - here, she could so easily be a big sister, the dean to jack’s sam, which would be a great way to develop her character and show her growing into adulthood.
i would’ve KILLED for a bottle episode of jack and claire going on their own journey in baby (or any car, but yk, for the vibes), perhaps to save the boys / cas, where these parallels were explored. maybe an almost play by play reenactment of the pilot, where they need to “find their dad” in a similar way. considering all the different characters they used to comment on sam and dean’s relationship, i could SO easily see this being a s13-14 episode, literally grieving the fact that it never happened because AAAH IT’S SO PERFECT
#gonna write this as a fic i think#i just have to like i NEED this to exist in at least some capacity#because bro. it’s all RIGHT THERE#the potential for a fresh new sibling relationship (in the show that’s all about family!) So I actually really enjoyed the little HB short with Millie and Sallie Mae.
I thought it was cute and it was breath of fresh spring air to get some scenes with JUST woman characters interacting and talking about their relationship.
That said, after watching, it just made me realize how much I want an ACTUAL episode exploring Millie and her background.
At the end of the short we get that brief conversation about Sallie Mae seeming to feel left behind when Millie moved to the city, and that honestly should have been the plot of the harvest moon festival imo.
Little reimagining of how Harvest Moon Festival could have used the basic premise/conflict in Hell’s Belles to develope Millie more and give us a better insight into her character. (Also after typing all of this out I realized I misspelled Sallie May’s name, and I’m too tired to go back and fix it please do not bully me rip 😭🪦)
So, Instead of having Moxxie compete with striker, what if we’d learned that Millie left home because she had an inferiority complex due to constantly being compared to Sally Mae, who could be the “golden child” of the family.
Maybe Sally Mae and Millie have always had a really fierce sibling rivalry, and Millie has struggled a lot with measuring up to her sister.
Striker could be not only the new farmhand, but Sally Mae’s new boyfriend. Instead of the conflict being Moxxie’s feelings of inferiority to Striker, further tension could come from Millie being upset that her parents are so accepting of Sally Mae’s partner while not approving of her’s.
Millie could be the one to find Striker’s assassin gear, and Striker manages to knock her out like he did Moxxie. Instead of Moxxie stabbing Striker like Millie did in the actual episode, it’s Sally Mae who catches Striker and stabs him to try and save her sister. The way this could be set up could also be a nice establishing character moment for Sally Mae—she’s dating Striker, but the moment she sees her sister in danger she doesn’t hesitate to try and save her sister.
Striker throws Sallie Mae and Millie into the basement, and Sallie Mae is the one to get her leg in the bear trap.
They have a sister heart to heart, where Millie expresses her frustration for not being able to take Striker out on her own and feeling like she’s always been in Sallie Mae’s shadow.
Sallie Mae could then reveal that she’s always been jealous of Millie for being her own person and going against their parent’s wishes by striking out on her own moving to Imp City. Maybe Sally Mae has always been afraid of disappointing their parents, but wishes she could also leave the farm. Or Idk, maybe she’s always been the “golden child” because she’s been trying to impress Millie, and not their parents, because she admires her sister. There’s a lot of different sibling rivalry/insecurity conflicts and dynamics that could be used here.
The main point is that they come to an understanding in the basement, Sallie Mae gives Millie a pep talk and lets her know that she can do this and take down Striker.
Millie escapes the basement and the episode plays out like it does in the actual show. Instead of Millie getting talked down to her parents at the end, it’s Sally Mae, and when they criticize Sally Mae for getting hurt and try to praise Millie for getting out of the basement and chasing Striker away with Blitzø, Millie stands up for herself and her sister, stopping her parents from pitting the siblings against each other like they did in the past.
The sisters leave on good terms and the day is saved or whatever. They hug goodbye, and promise to stay in touch more and visit soon.
This could potentially help set up the idea of Millie having an inferiority complex and struggling with not believing she’s important that, in my opinion, comes out of absolutely nowhere in “Unhappy Campers”. If it’s established early that Millie has always struggled with feeling less-than in comparison to Sallie Mae and her siblings, it makes a lot more sense that she’d be so excited with the attention she receives in Unhappy Campers. And that she’d be extra upset by Moxxie’s lack of support.
Also for anyone asking “what about moxxie” idk. helluva boss loves their b and c plots so maybe there could be a slapstick bit where Millie’s brothers keep trying to wrestle Moxxie, so Moxxie is always hiding from them or getting tackled by them. Or maybe Moxxie could be really excited to try and bond with Millie’s family and get to know them more, so he keeps trying to connect with them in different awkward ways. Whatever. This is Millie’s episode now, I don’t care what moxxie does.
This is a very very basic re-imagining, and it’s definitely been done before and can be cliche. I want to make it really really clear that I’m NOT writing this out as a “fix-it”.
More of just a “what-if” and wishing about what may have been in terms of Millie getting more character development in the show proper, instead of getting a tiny bit of development and background info in a 5 minute short.
It’s just a shame because I’d love to have more concrete development for Millie. The short gave us a LITTLE insight into her and Sallie May’s characters, but it feels like we’re still being given crumbs about who Millie is as a character after a season and a half.
We should know more about her by now other than “likes violence/is good at fighting” and “is cheerful”. And also feels unimportant sometimes even thought she’d never given any indication that she’d ever struggled with that before.
Also I don’t think the voice direction for Sally Mae was done well. I liked her voice in “Harvest Moon” but it felt like the voice actress was struggling with keeping the southern accent in tact + sounding natural.
Overall, I did really like the short, but it also made me kind of sad for what could have been in terms of giving Millie more of the spotlight.

“And Autumn comes when you’re not yet done with the summer passing by”
Francis Forever, Mitski
“I didn’t know that Dallas had a brother until I met him now looking back on it all he was real secretive of Ralph’s existence almost as if he was afraid of him becoming one of us”
-Ponyboy Curtis 1965
Name: Ralph Winston
Nicknames:Ralphie,Dallys kid brother
Age : 12
Dob : April 1st. 1953
Grade: seventh
Height:4’9
Status:Greaser (?)
Mbti: infp
Pronouns: he/him
Face claim: Noah Jupe (may change)
Voice claim: Noah Jupe
Blog: @the-better-winston
Family: Mr. Winston (father)
Mrs. Winston (mother)
Dallas Winston (brother)
Upbringing : Had a rough upbringing although he was unaware of it due to his older brother sheltering him and him blocking out what his brain considered to be bad memories. he moved to Tulsa with his father and older brother when he was a little kid and settled fairly well in school developing a love for science and art.
Back story: Ralph is an optimistic and intelligent boy who people including the greasers struggle to believe that he’s the younger brother of the Dallas Tucker Winston. Dally tried to hide his existence from his friends claiming that he was ashamed of his Ralph’s nerdiness when in reality he was afraid of this kid turning out like him and wasting his potential.
Personality: Ralph is a very outgoing boy he’s really curious about the world around him and enjoys taking in new information. On top of that Ralph is also a very creative person with a hidden love for art although he’s slightly embarrassed of this passion. he’s a bit of a know it all and and isn’t afraid to let you know it. Ralph is a very stubborn person and can be quite quick tempered especially when he’s looked down upon for his age.
Appearance: Ralph is a short and scrawny kid with brown wavy hair and big hazel eyes full of curiosity he’s almost the visual opposite to his older brother Dallas although they both had similar noses and eye shapes. alot of people wouldn’t guess that they were brothers when they first see the duo but if you take a closer look you see the family resemblance. Ralph is quite insecure of his height especially when stood next to Dally and the other greasers but he believes that he’s just a late bloomer. He wears hand me down jackets and jeans from Dallas accompanied by his own colourful t-shirts.
Relationships:
Dallas “Dally” Winston- older brother
-Dally is quite protective of Ralph since the boy was born he’s been his main caretaker.he doesn’t want Ralph to end up like him so he keeps his greaser life and family life separate only taking Ralph to meet the gang when it’s absolutely necessary and feeding the boy lies about what he’s doing and where he is.they quarrel a lot about stupid stuff like siblings do and since they’re both stubborn they take their little fights seriously. despite their differences they have a relatively healthy sibling relationship although that unravels after Dallys death where Ralph finally finds out the type of person his brother was and what he did to protect Ralph.
Ponyboy Curtis- close friend
Ponyboy and Ralph were friendly with each other in grade school before they even met. Ponyboy was kind of confused when he learned that him and Dally were related and brothers nonetheless. Ponyboy and Ralph bonded over being kid brothers, smart kids and the babies of the group. Pony was happy having Ralph around because it meant that he wasn’t the youngest person in their friend group anymore!!
Johnny Cade- close friend
Johnny is Ralph’s next closest friend in the group from Dallys bond with him. Like Dally Ralph is quite protective of Johnny although he’s shows it in his own way (he’s like Johnnys personal feral chihuahua) he finds his quiet and calm nature comforting to be around seeing it as breath of fresh air from his chaotic home life.
Sodapop Curtis
Ralph enjoys hanging out with Soda when the group meet up together. He’s inspired by his positivity and his compassionate nature.before the novel he had a close minded view of Soda thinking that he’s just an optimist. Although after Dally and Johnny’s deaths they grow close bonding over the losses together.
Darry Curtis
Ralph finds his loyal, serious and fatherly nature comforting. he secretly wishes that he could have been born a Curtis to have Darry care for him the way he does Pony and Soda. After Dally and Johnny’s deaths he spends a lot of time at the Curtis’ house with Darry keeping an eye on him.
Twobit Matthews
Ralph really enjoys being around Twobit he’s funny lighthearted and most of his jokes make him laugh. Ralph is also unironically a huge Disney kid so they probably nerd out about Mickey Mouse together.
Steve Randle
Ralph isn’t a fan of steve from the way he treats Ponyboy he doesn’t like how Steve seemingly dislikes his friend just for being a “tag along kid brother” the two also have sort of similar personalities which clash so 12 year old Ralph has gotten into arguments with Steve before.
Relationships to be added: siblings, cousins, friends, enemies,
Additional information:
-People speculate that he may be adopted from how different he and Dally look. Dallas likes to joke about how found him in a box on the streets of New York and Ralphie genuinely has no idea if he’s being serious or not.
-he’s apart of his middle schools sconce club and spends alot of time outside of school with his nerd friends to discuss experiments, science fairs and in general rambling about cool facts.
-he’s a yapper it’s kind of hard to get him to shut up, Dallas has either intentionally or unintentionally developed the habit of zoning out on his ramblings about science.
-his favourite branches of science are astronomy, biology and chemistry.
-people assume that he’s a Soc which annoys him, he’s the younger brother to the really cool Dallas Winston get it right 😡
-Would secretly like to be an illustrator when he grows up.
-he doesn’t have a favourite colour he loves all of them equally.
-Has repressed most of his memories from his time in New York.
-Dallas gaslights him into thinking that he’s at a friends house whenever he gets arrested.

How would you rate resident evil storytelling and it's characters, esp remakes?
Di you think that's their main selling point and whatnot?
Well RE storytelling isn't good so jot that down-
Okay, but seriously, before I get into this let me tell you I have never really been into the zombie narrative as a horror connoisseur the same way I'm not into "white guy kills everyone" horror movies. The white guy kills everyone story is just as easily found when I turn on the news, but zombies?
With zombies the ending is the same. Find the cure or everyone dies eventually. It's the sub genre that relies the most on jump scares with mascot horror recently sliding in alongside it. I couldn't pinpoint the exact decade where the zombie narrative switched to being more character focused in order to keep the genre fresh for people who enjoy it, but we are currently in the aftermath of that decision.
That said, RE storytelling isn't good. It can be fun! I put fun and good on two different graphs when I judge the writing in the piece of media I partake in. For example? The Venom movies are so much fun! They have nothing to do with spiderman which is the symbiote's literal origin story for finding eddie brock later. This is a facet many comic fans find blasphemous, but if you have half a brain or aren't a dick about canon requirements, you'll still get so much enjoyment out of the movies themselves. They stand on their own without spiderman, which I think is a feat well done. Very fun and entertaining.
So yeah, RE storytelling and the characters can be fun. There is a potential for it to be good, but in order for that potential to be reached Capcom has to do something they forever avoid in their writing.
Commit to the characters' in-game relationships.
:)
Put your shipping hopes down. I don't mean romantic. I mean commit to Leon and Claire being friends who shared a horribly traumatic event together. Commit to Ada's mixed feelings about Leon and her job. Commit to Leon's mixed feelings about Ada and LYING about never seeing her to Hunnigan, a woman and co-worker he can actually trust. Commit to showing Jill's unhealthy reliance on Chris just as much as we see Chris' unhealthy reliance on Jill. Show Barry as a family man who's made mistakes with his wife and kids and tries to work things out. WHERE IS HIS WIFE CAPCOM? Show Rebecca reminiscing on her time from RE0, and IDK place a letter she sent out to someone from a strange address who's speech style looks vaguely familiar. Show Sherry's trauma from her constantly healing body and make her have a weird relationship with doctors. Show that Sherry got to interact with Claire at the very least?????? REDFIELD SIBLINGS?!?!?! REDFIELD SIBLINGS SURE DON'T FUCKING ACT LIKE SIBLINGS. WHAT THE FUCK WAS DEATH ISLAND? IM GONNA-(cane drags me off stage)
"Oh, but people will take those things as shipping purpose and we don't want to imply that."
Idk, it's apparently already in the damn trenches in spaces I never go to (tiktok, twitter, insta, etc), and I don't think the people making MLP aus give a shit regardless. Plus, this game series is so old they're making money strictly off the brand name like every other AAA game series.
I genuinely mean that. Capcom could do the exact same shit with RE4 that Bethesda did with Skyrim, and they'd make bank every fucking time. Oh wait, they did with constantly have to port it to new systems!
Let me see Leon and Hunnigan laughing and sharing coffee in the break room. Let me see text message chats from Claire and Chris ribbing each other. Let me see Jill shopping for clothes with Chris being forced to hold all the bags. Let me see old photos of Barry with his wife and daughters at an amusement park before "the incident". Let me see Rebecca and Jill trauma bonding while spending the night together. Let me see Chris and Leon awkwardly make eye contact on a job neither of them expected to be on at the same time. Let me see Ada sneaking into TerraSave, and let Claire send a selfie of them to Leon only to have Leon freak the fuck out. Claire and Rebecca going to cafes? Jill helping Chris fix up his car? HELLO CAPCOM?! COMMIT! COMMIT! COMMIT! COMMIT! COMMIT! FOR FUCKS SAKE-
These don't even have to be big moments! Just 20-30 seconds of animation? Painted illustrations? An option to read a report in game stating these things happened? Anything! Anything! Is anyone in here?! IT'S SO DARK!

"She's fucking impetuous and daring, a little too bold and way too fucking fearless."
NAME: Ivana Arias
PREFERRED NAME/NICKNAME(S): Iv, Ana
AGE: Thirty-three
RESIDENTIAL AREA: University Heights
OCCUPATION: Model
LENGTH OF TIME IN PROVIDENCE PEAK: 1-2 months
basics.
HOMETOWN: Napa Valley, California
GENDER IDENTIFICATION: Cis Woman (she/her)
SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Bisexual
RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single and Messy
family.
MOTHER: Nathalia Arias
FATHER: Julio Arias
SIBLINGS: Three older brothers, One younger, all wanted connections
biography.
Ivana Arias is the only daughter of sommelier, Nathalia Arias and renowned chef, Julio Arias. As the last born, she has four older brothers, making her the youngest of five. The Arias’ grew up on a private estate in Napa Valley, California right next door to her mother’s family’s vineyard.
Her parents are incredibly passionate business owners, who specialize in food and wine. Her father, Julio, is the owner of a restaurant named after himself. While her mom, Nathalia, handles most of the wine distribution at their family’s winery.
Growing up, Ivana was homeschooled most of her life. She’s very bright and thrives in social situations because she enjoys being the center of attention. However, her family, has always been very strict and very protective over her.
After graduating high school at an all girls boarding academy, Ivana left home to attend Penn State and major in business. She rose to the top of her class, graduating with all honors only to come to the realization she wasn’t necessarily following her dreams. Unlike her brothers, Ivana had no interest in joining or partaking in the family business, even though it was expected of her soon after she graduated.
Truth be told, Ivana always carried and held a special interest in fashion and fashion design. She loved to stock up on fashion magazines growing up and enjoyed styling herself and her friends.
Roughly eight years ago, while fresh out of college, Ivana was approached by a photographer while on vacation in the bahamas for one of her brother’s weddings. She was asked by this photographer, to model for his friend’s show, which had the potential to open many doors for her. Knowing her family wouldn’t approve, Ivana considered passing on the offer but instead, ended up going through with it and was sucked into the world of modeling ever since. (She mostly does commercial ads, since she’s too short and not fully cut out for runway or editorials.)
She managed to keep her modeling career under wraps for the next three consecutive years, before she was outted at a family event. Her parents were obviously blindsided and not thrilled about the news. After the event was over, they advised her to quit immediately and threatened to write her out of their will. Needless to say, Ivana loves what she does. Modeling has not only filled her with an immense level of confidence but she finds she’s good at it, and truly believes its what she was meant and put on this earth to do. Thus, she told her parents she wasn’t going to quit and they could take whatever actions necessary.
Fortunately for her, she makes enough to support herself and hasn’t really been back home to visit them since. Her relationship with her family now is still pretty estranged. She keeps in touch with two of her older brothers, while the rest have sided with her parents.
As with any career in the fashion or entertainment industry, Ivana has been burned by a lot of people. This makes it hard for her to trust many, and/or get to a point with someone where she doesn't feel as though they are using her for clout/her body. Which is one of the (few) reasons she’s moved to Providence Peak. After her last shoot in New York, rumors started circulating about her and a renowned photographer who is married. Despite there being no truth to the rumors, it’s still her word against a dozen of others. He blames her for putting a strain on his marriage and quite frankly, his reputation. Colorado was the first stop she’s come to and it’s far away enough that she hopes it remains peaceful enough until she decides her next move.
In the meantime, she’s finally started questioning whether modeling is still right for her. And instead, has been toying with the idea of starting her own brand or fitness line, devoted to inspiring and empowering other women like her, to follow their dreams, practice self love, and look drop dead glamorous while doing it.

Payback | Dean Winchester
✦ pairing — Dean Winchester x female!Plus Size Reader
✦ word count — 2.2k
✦ request — I was wondering if you could do a dean winchester imagine that is like the reader is like young and has been with the boys since she was 18 and now she’s like around 21 or 22. She lives at the bunker with them and helps with research. So, basically she’s fallen in love with dean and has been in love with him for years. She never says anything because she watches him go after all these skinny girls and thinks she will never be good enough since she’s big and doesn’t think he’d ever like her. Then one day she basically just reaches a breaking point and it comes out to dean, and after some angst they get together. Then maybe some fluff or smut?
✦ warnings — angst, age gap (reader is in her twenties while Dean is in his forties), reader is kinda insecure at times, language, mentions of past sexual partners, mentions of a past ilegal relationship, a twinge of jealousy, suggestive stuff, some fluff.
════════════════════════
You heard laughs on the other side of the bar, right under the Bud Light neon sign. Unable to stop yourself, you looked that way.
A small friend group had erupted in laughter. There was a tall guy in the middle of two redheads — you couldn’t see very well, but you could tell he had caught you staring.
So you deviated your eyes to the right, where the bartender served one of your companions another beer. A couple of beers in fact. Dean was talking to a woman, undoubtedly charming her as he rested his elbow on the bar and leaned in to whisper in her ear.
You couldn’t look any longer, you would be sick if you did. He should’ve been doing that to you.
Realistically, you were probably twice her size or more, but you still could dream.
That was the problem, truly — you only could dream. Dean would quit hunting before even considering seeing you as a potential conquest. By this point, you should have been used to it.
Your eyes went back to the friend group from earlier. The tall guy held your gaze for a moment — you couldn’t figure out his eye color, or what his eyes showed under the uneven light, but you damn well could see he was handsome.
Not wanting to give him the wrong impression, you turned to your side and picked up your jacket.
Maybe you should also start to pay attention to the men who were actually interested.
But they weren’t Dean Winchester.
Comparing every man you met to him was a reflex, just like comparing yourself to the women he picked up at bars.
The Bunker was eerie every hour of the day, but there was something especially uncanny about an empty Bunker in the middle of the night. Devastatingly so.
Turning on the lights as you made your way towards the library, you made a beeline towards the kitchen. You weren’t in the mood for drinking anymore or for food, but you knew you needed to drink water.
Taking refugee in the library, you looked around a few news sites to see if you found something. It wasn’t difficult to find something shady or weird going on, but filtering out conspiracy theories was a pain in the ass.
Eventually, you found just what you were hoping you would. Dean and Sam rarely took you with them for hunts, but perhaps you could convince them this time to at least let you watch from the car.
Sam came home a little later, tipsy enough to be in a good mood. You told him about the case you had found, he said he would check it out in the morning and wished you a goodnight.
Dean didn’t come home. Why would he when he could have literally anybody he wanted?
You didn’t get any sleep. You had hoped that listening to an audiobook would lull you, but like most things, it wasn’t enough to even entertain you.
You were sick of this, of being into somebody who would never be into you. And who the fuck loses sleep for somebody who doesn’t see them as anything more than a sibling? You, apparently.
You needed coffee and a hug, but coffee by itself would have to do.
To your luck, Dean was already in the kitchen when you entered. His hair was wet which meant he was, thankfully, fresh out of the shower.
Instead of greeting you, he asked, “Where’s Sammy?”
You shrugged. “I haven’t seen him since last night.”
“He took the car.”
You didn’t even know Sam had brought the car home the night before. “He must have found the case interesting.”
“There’s a case?”
“Kind of. It’s not too far away from here,” you explained, “but I wasn’t sure it was something up our alley. I guess Sam thought it was.”
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Because you weren’t here.” You could tell your answer offended him. Good.
“You should have called.”
“Babying you isn’t my job, Dean.”
“Funny you say that when babysitting you isn’t mine and yet...”
“Can you stop treating me like a fucking child for two seconds?”
“Stop acting like one and I might.”
“God, you’re fucking insufferable. I can’t believe I’m in love with you!”
You didn’t know whose eyes were wider, if his or yours.
“Shit,” you muttered under your breath.
He tried to be nonchalant, but Dean couldn’t even move. “Sweetheart, come on. It’s okay.”
You effusively shook your head. “It’s isn’t.”
“You’re overreacting.”
“No, you don’t get to tell me what to do or how to fucking react.” You were yelling now. Why were you yelling over this?
“I— well, I don’t know what to say.” He stuttered. “I mean, you are a kid. I could be your dad who had a kid at a young age, okay? This is fucking crazy.”
“You weren’t supposed to know. It’s humiliating.”
“I’m not going to give you shit about it.”
“No, you are. And then you’re gonna go and fuck somebody who’s actually hot and interesting and you’re gonna make me feel worse.”
“Hey, you’re interesting.”
“I’m not. And even then, you don’t go for them because they’re interesting, do you?”
“What do you want me to say?”
You wanted him to say that you were attractive too, that he would go for you in a heartbeat.
“Nothing.”
Both of you remained silent then. He had many chances to make it right, to have enough pity for you to at least apologize for not realizing you were in love with him sooner.
“ I’m gonna go,” you announced, having decided that this wasn’t worth it. The humiliation hurt, but his reaction stung.
He reached over and stopped you. “Wait, wait, wait.”
“What now?” Your voice broke and your lip trembled. Not now, you thought. But now it was.
“Don’t cry.”
“I can’t help it.”
He hugged you to his chest. “I hate seeing you cry.”
His arms were tightly wrapped around you, a hand on the back of your head and the other on your upper back.
“You’re making me feel even more stupid,” you admitted through tears.
Dean sighed heavily. His hand twitched against your clothed skin as he tried to keep himself from rubbing his face. “You know, maybe you need a break.”
“Are you really trying to get rid of me already?”
He didn’t deny it. So you pushed him off you and stormed out. You couldn’t even get a fucking consolation hug.
════════════════════════
You liked to think you were doing a good job avoiding him. It wasn’t like he spent that much time at home either way.
Expecting him to care had been too much, it seemed. You hadn’t wanted him to beg, or even fantasized about him chasing after you — you just wanted him to care, to at least told you he would forget about it or pretend you hadn’t said anything.
Sam entered the library, feigning interest in the stack of books you had piled on the table two nights ago.
He stalled, opening the one on top as though he hadn’t seen it before.
You shuffled in your seat. Waiting for whatever he would say.
He cleared his throat so you’d look up. You did.
“Dean and I are going out for a drink or two. Want to come?”
“No, I’m gonna watch something on my laptop and go to bed early.”
Sam gave you a worried look. “Well, if you need anything...”
“Have fun.”
Maybe Dean had been right, maybe you needed a break, and maybe —just maybe— this wasn’t the place you were meant to be at.
But you wanted to be there, and you wanted him. It fucking sucked that you would never get what you wanted just because you weren’t thin.
Story of your life.
You stayed in the library longer than you planned and eventually your tv marathon was held there. You had everything you needed and the chairs were comfortable enough.
Your laptop rested on the other side of the table as you leaned onto said table with your forearms and laid your head on your arm.
A knock on the thick door startled you. Looking up, you found green eyes.
“Did I scare you?”
You pressed the space bar to pause your show. “I wasn’t expecting you guys to come back early.”
“Sammy left with somebody so he’s not coming home tonight.”
You hummed, unsure as to what you were supposed to say. Should you say that you were happy for Sam? Should you ask why he hadn’t left with somebody too?
Dean spoke before you could come up with something. “Can we, uh, talk?”
Seeing you nod, Dean approached the table. He didn’t sit down, forcing you to crane your neck.
“I’ll find somewhere else to live,” you assured him.
He frowned, looking down as he searched for your now shifty eyes. “You’re leaving?”
“Isn’t that what you wanted to talk about?”
“No.” He rubbed his palm against his forehead. “I don’t want things to be awkward between us.”
You twisted your mouth. “It’s a little late for that.”
He hurriedly said, “I don’t want you to leave. You’re part of the family.”
“I think I deserve space to move on.”
A groan slipped past his throat and lips, rumbling in his chest. He was growing desperate. “Look... I’m trying to be the responsible adult here because God knows you won’t be.”
“So now I’m an adult?”
“It was never my intention to treat you like a child. I just wanted to put some distance between us.”
“You could have said so.” You didn’t think you would need to state the obvious to somebody as smart as Dean.
“I didn’t want things to be weird or to give the impression that I could take advantage of you if you were too close. I would never do that.”
Not proud enough to pretend you knew what he was talking about, you admitted, “I don’t understand what you’re getting at.”
“You’re pretty,” he blurted. “Really fucking pretty and interesting and so attractive that’s kinda unfair. And you’re also too young.”
“Dean.”
“Mmmh?”
“Kiss me.”
“Weren’t you listening to me?”
“Just kiss me,” you insisted. “We’ll forget about it if it doesn’t feel right.”
Dean took the chair beside yours out and pulled it to the side. His eyes didn’t meet yours as he leaned in, but they did when his nose brushed yours.
He softly placed his lips on top of yours. You saw his eyes screw shut before you closed yours. It was short and sweet, and when he parted from you, you feared you would have to go back to hide the way you felt about him.
Grabbing you by the waist, Dean made you stand up. He wrapped an arm around you while you rested your hands on his sides as a reflex.
He kissed you again, hard. So hard he unintentionally pushed you against the table. His tongue tasted of whiskey and those bacon-flavored chips you had never had the heart to tell him weren’t that good.
You brought a hand up to the back of his neck, kissing him deeply.
Dean took advantage of the fact that he had you trapped between the table and his body to caress yours. He started with your back and dragged his hands down to your ass.
His hands traveled to your torso, where he could surely feel your belly up, fingers toying with the hem of your black t-shirt.
You stopped his fingers from lifting your top and pulled away from the kiss. “Wait.”
“Having second thoughts?” he breathlessly asked.
“I’m not what you’re used to,” you explained through ragged breathing. “At all.”
”Really?”
You nodded, ashamed. One thing was him knowing how big you were and other was him seeing it for himself.
“Don’t take this the wrong way...”
“That’s a great way to let me know you’re about to insult me.” Fuck. You were getting defensive again — what a way to kill the mood.
“I’m not!” he defended himself. “I was going to point out that you’ve been around for a relatively short amount of time to know what I’m used to.”
“I’ve never seen you with a fat person before.”
“And I’ve never seen you with somebody older than you before.”
Was he playing dumb? “Of course you have.”
“Huh? When?”
“That guy in Texas was well in his thirties. And I dated somebody in their twenties when I was 16, I’m not too proud of that one, but—“
He interrupted you. “Nevermind. Shut up.” Dean kissed you again, bringing you flush against him.
You smiled against his mouth. “Is somebody jealous?”
“Maybe.”
“Good. Serves you right.”
“You’re evil.” He bit down your bottom lip and pulled on it.
“It’s just payback, I promise.”
Dean snorted. “Can’t say I don’t deserve it.”
You remained silent, allowing him to dissipate the tension. You would let him do whatever he wanted, regardless of the outcome, but you were too scared to say it.
You didn’t have to.
“Hey.” He cupped your face. “We don’t have to do anything you’re not comfortable with,” he assured you. His voice was uncharacteristically soft. “We can take our time.”

NAME. israel souza GENDER. cis male. PRONOUNS. he/him. AGE. twenty eight. BIRTHDATE. august 11th. OCCUPATION. personal trainer. NEIGHBORHOOD. montara. FACECLAIM. rafael silva.
Israel had always been one to throw himself directly into danger, mostly just for the thrill of it, but sometimes even to selflessly aid others. This made his family, quite a big one at that, nervous about what he would choose to do with his life when he was older. All evidence pointed to something dangerous and, in time, they were proven right.
Over the years, he threw out the interest in being a football player, a firefighter, a secret agent (after seeing the James Bond films as a child), and a pilot, but the most consistent was always a professional wrestler. After his older brother made the mistake of bringing him to a wrestling show, that was it, he was hooked. It fueled an interest in fitness during his early teenage years.
It was around that time that Israel became very aware of his sexuality, but never went through a coming out process with his family or friends. He was lucky that way, knowing it wouldn’t be a problem for them to accept him and the only battle for him would be to accept himself. That was easily done after his first kiss with a boy.
He was the baby of the family, with four older siblings and two loving parents. He always had someone to cover for him, make an excuse for him, help out with whatever he needed, and more than one person always watching out for him. Family was always incredibly important to him and, if you ask him, it’s their fault that he wound up with a bit of a selfish side. How do you not grow a little entitled with everything’s always handed to you?
In his late teens, Israel became very serious about training to become a professional wrestler. He dropped extracurriculars and let some relationships slip through the cracks because of his commitment. He just kept telling himself it would be worth it when he achieved his dreams. Nobody could tell him otherwise.
He was given such a big headache about college from his parents that Israel actually considered it. He knew there was not a major in the universities they were pleading him to consider to become a wrestler, but caved and majored in exercise science. He figured that, if the unthinkable happened, he would at least be able to become a personal trainer or something… but he didn’t want to think about a reality where that happened.
Just after college, Israel joined a professional wrestling training school where he showed promising potential and met a man who would take him on as a mentor. With his help, Israel gained the attention of a major wrestling organization, after various matches on the indie circuit, and trained with them until they found a place for him in their shows.
A few years later, Israel was on his way to becoming a household name in the wrestling scene. He found the roar of the crowd exhilarating and lived for the rush he felt each time he hit the mat, but found a special sense of accomplishment in the phone calls he would receive from his parents after a show or the times they would visit or he would come home.
He was on top of his game, holding a championship for a prolonged amount of time, when he was injured. Injury is not uncommon for a wrestler, but a neck injury — particularly his — was very serious even for wrestlers. That’s when he was forced into a reality he hoped he would never have to face, a life without wrestling, without purpose.
Moving to Half Moon Bay, just forty five minutes from most of his family, was out of necessity. He needed to be somewhere fresh as he started his new journey, close to his family but far enough that he had space to figure stuff out on his own. For now, that’s led to him taking a job at Davies’ Locker, as a personal trainer.

Reasons I believe Peddie live in the UK when they’re married.
So lots of people debate where they live. I’m a no-budge headcanon Uk and here are my reasons why.
1.) Eddie has citizenship in the Uk, Patricia doesn’t.
So the fact Eddie’s dad has always been a legal resident of the UK he automatically as his son get’s citizenship. Basically he has dual citizenship from birth due to this. Patricia on the other hand only has citizenship in the UK. It’s the only country they both can legally stay in with no issues or fuss.
2.) Immigrating is hard and a ton of work.
Patricia would most likely be going for a K-1 or Spousal Visa if she were to try and come to the US. These can be very complicated and hard. They can also have a ton of hurdles. Not only this but they would need capital to move. They’re young, they aren’t rich. Patricia would need to move ALL of her things to a new country and Eddie already has everything important in the UK so it would be a hassle to a degree for him to/not a hassle to stay in the UK.
3.) Patricia wouldn’t be able to work for five months or more.
Spouses have to apply for a work permit. This can take up to seven months. Now these guys are young. They don’t have a lot of money, so one of them not working after already spending tons of money just to move seems impossible. Also if Eddie doesn’t have a job already lined up before moving BOTH of them aren’t working for at least some point which is not good or realistic.
4.) They aren’t rich.
Yes I believe both of their families are “Well off” finically but individually? Straight out of college they are not rich. It costs money to immigrate even in your own country let alone to a new one. It could be considered fiscally irresponsible to move to the US after getting married or before.
5.) Patricia is anti-American, Eddie isn’t anti-UK
I cannot imagine this girl wanting to live in America. She always hates the Americans when they come to the house. She seems to just have something against it and whether it’s a front or not I don’t see her being like “Oh yay let’s live there.” Meanwhile Eddie has adjusted to the UK and seems to enjoy his life there.
6.) Family.
All of Patricia’s family is in the UK. She’d have nobody in the states. She’d be an ocean apart from her parents and her twin sister. Eddie has half of his family in the UK (assuming he has no siblings which the show leads us to believe). No matter where he lives he has the same amount of family where Patricia has all or nothing. He’s also had less time in his life with his dad and his mom could visit easier than Eric could due to his job as headmaster and easier than Patricia’s family due to the fact it’s not just one person it’s three or two at a time unless just Piper came.
7.) Friends.
All of Patricia’s friends are in the UK. All of Eddies good friends are in the UK. He has friends in the states sure but is he as close to them as someone such as his Sibuna members? no. I don’t believe so. Patricia would have zero friends in America except for Nina, KT and MAYBE Amber if she stayed but who knows where in the country they’d be? Probably not close like her friends in the UK would be. They’re a friend group so close they’re practically family. It’d be super hard for both of them to just leave them.
8.) Fresh out of college
I know it’s not canon that they both attend college in the UK but it’s also a huge headcanon of mine and most people secure starter jobs before even graduating. If they went into a job they want right away leaving the country and job would make no sense.
9.) Education
If either of them decides to go to school longer than the other (Ik some of you head canon Patricia going into Law which would be 4 extra years) I don’t see the other one moving without the other one. They aren’t splitting up. Would what they learn translate to America (law, or environment or etc.)? And the Job the other one has for the four extra years (or two if grad school) might be a job they don’t wanna leave
10.) Being close to the house
I feel like in the case of an emergency Peddie would not hesitate to come back to Amun and help. They’re practically pros at it. Eddie used to be the Osirion for gods sake. I feel like they and even the other members (like Fabian) would feel a pull to be close enough to the house that they don’t need to cross an ocean if a supernatural Egyptian event occurs that needs their attention.
11.) Eddie understands life in England, Patricia doesn’t understand life in the US
She’d be starting over in a new country, something Eddie had to do and knows how hard it is. Would he wanna put her through that if she doesn’t want or need to herself? And how would she adjust? It could even potentially strain their relationship if not well.
12.) I believe they both like the UK.
While i talked about Eddie not hating the UK before, i don’t believe he just doesn’t hate it I believe he likes it in the UK. Why come back in season 3 if not? Why does he seem happy living there? It has memories for him like going to school, college (my headcanon but also super likely), and also the most likely place he and Patricia get their first place, get engaged and even married. Patricia obviously likes it as she also seems happy in the country and is a born citizen.
#those are my reasons#peddie headcanons#peddie#sibuna#hoa#house of anubis#agree? disagree? why? tell me#I'm not gonna budge tho

So I watched SPN for years, right up until the end of S11, when they brought back Mary. I heard that S15 would be the last season, and I was like ‘oh ok I’ll rewatch (for like the 8th time) and finish SPN then’ BUT THEN 15x18 happened and I was violently pulled back into the SPN fandom. I still haven’t caught up fully watching yet, but I’ve read so much discourse now...and I have thoughts. Hypotheses currently. I’ll wait to finish the whole show for real to call any of this theories but, I wanted to record my thoughts.
They’re about Chuck. As a villain. Which weirds me out. As an antagonist? Sure. As evil? No. Can’t envision it. I just finished my rewatch of S5 and, damn, but if Chuck is the ultimate villain, S5 reads very differently. :0
But I recently saw a post comparing Dean’s reaction in 1x18 (I believe) to his in 10x05 (for sure) about when someone mentions his mother’s death. In 1x18, it’s Sam when they were children and Dean gets angry. In 10x05, it’s a group of high school girls and Dean just bops his head along to the song. The post was framing it as 10x05 not understanding Dean’s thoughts about his mother, but I think that both episodes understand Dean. When Dean is a child, the trauma over his mother’s murder is still fresh. By 10x05, the event is 70 years in the past. Of course it still affects Dean. Of course. You never really get over something like that. But I’d argue that after 70 years, Dean has moved through the stages of grief to acceptance. It still hurts, but like an old ache, not a fresh, still-bleeding wound.
Interestingly, 10x05 is when we see Chuck, after a long absence. He’s watching the play, probably happy that someone loves his work enough to even make a musical, but he is also watching the Winchesters. The actual episodes of the show, aka the books Chuck writes, are what Chuck knows/cares about regarding the Winchesters. Despite being God, I’d argue he doesn’t pay attention to every second and all the little minutia of the boys’ lives. So, here in 10x05, we have confirmation that Chuck is around to see that Dean has healed from his mother’s death.
Later, in S11, Dean acts as therapist/life counsellor to Chuck/God, regarding Amara and Lucifer. And it works! Dean teaches God about family and about healing. Why does God listen to Dean Winchester, a random human? Perhaps it is because of S1-5. Perhaps it is because Dean and Sam were part of God’s test, as God himself describes it in 5x22.
What was the test? Was it God’s experiment about choice and free will? About freedom vs peace? Or, perhaps, was God trying to understand sibling relationships? He and Amara are two faces of the same coin. They are siblings, but with very different outlooks and it caused a rift between them, caused Chuck to seal Amara away before she could destroy his creations. Chuck regretted this, but saw it as a necessary betrayal. But then, some time later, Chuck’s angelic children experience their own betrayal and sibling rift. Lucifer tries to turn the angels against God, rebel and reject God. He makes demons, for sure, and maybe even Hell. But why? God figures that Lucifer was maybe jealous of the new baby (humans) like others in the show postulates. Or maybe Lucifer had beef specifically with Michael, because humans are little more than amoebas from an angelic perspective. Aside from Castiel, Anna and a handful of other angels, angels consistently view humans as humans might view dust mites. Maybe humans were the cause of the rift between Michael and Lucifer, but it was Michael and Lucifer’s relationship that needed fixing in the end, regardless.
So God is left with the sad conclusion that maybe close siblings will inevitably betray each other and be unable to forgive and heal. He wants to heal with Amara. But he also wants Michael and Lucifer to be able to heal. (It doesn’t occur to God that maybe Lucifer’s problem was never with humanity or Michael; it was with God.)
So God has research to do, to see if it’s possible for siblings to experience such deep betrayal and still heal. He turns to his little hairless apes, the only sentient species on Earth with potential to parallel the angels. He starts testing siblings. Cain and Abel are first up. Needless to say, but the betrayal was too strong and left no room for healing. But on down the line of Cain, God continues testing. Eventually, we come to Sam and Dean.
God has scheduled Michael and Lucifer’s family counselling session for 2010. All the data up to this point says it can only end badly. Maybe it’ll half-kill the Earth, but it’s finally time for Michael and Lucifer to meet and for one of them to die. God isn’t happy about this conclusion, but it’s what the data says. So, finally, the last test subjects, the last in the line who will be the vessels for Michael and Lucifer’s showdown, arrive. Sam and Dean Winchester are to be the last sibling test. The conclusion seems foregone at this point, but there is no point in cancelling the last bit of the test after so long, so it continues. God watches. And Sam and Dean surprise God. Siblings after siblings had failed for millennia to heal. Betrayals too strong, healing too little, too late. But Sam and Dean. no matter how badly they hurt each other, find a way to come back together and heal. They don’t give up on each other, despite millennia of data to the contrary. Still, the angels and demons push and push at Sam and Dean until their rift is as wide and as deep as Michael and Lucifer’s, as God’s and Amara’s (in late S4). It seems, despite the brothers’ best efforts earlier on, it’s all for naught.
But there is a further element of randomness, something God couldn’t foresee. Castiel. God hasn’t had occasion for romantic love in his own experience, so he is entirely blind to what choices Castiel is likely to make. He provides an element of randomness to the experiment, an essential part that gives Dean the ultimate chance to go back to Sam and begin to heal (4x22).
Throughout S5, Sam and Dean heal. There is hurt, still, of course, but they love each other and forgive each other. By 5x22, they’ve surprised everyone. Even the angels have given up on turning them against each other, and have shrugged and settled for using Nick and Adam as the vessels for the showdown. Sam and Dean passed their test. They were siblings who betrayed each other and healed from it. God reconsiders how family counselling will go with Michael and Lucifer. He figured it would be the Apocalypse, the end of the problems between Michael and Lucifer, as one of them dies, as had always happened before. But, Sam and Dean showed God, that though it is rare, it is possible to heal. So God gives Sam and Dean an out. He gives Sam the strength to seize back control from Lucifer, should things go south.
Finally, the showdown arrives. Michael and Lucifer meet. They talk things out. To God’s surprise, Lucifer reveals that he never had a problem with Michael. He had forgiven Michael long ago. But Michael couldn’t forgive Lucifer. He had to be a ‘good son’ and do what he thought God wanted him to do. But Michael didn’t realise, that God doesn’t give orders. Free will all the way, baby! But the whole thing comes as a surprise. Apparently, all this time, the problem relationship wasn’t siblings, it was parents.
Oops.
Good thing God had a back-up plan.
Sam throws himself and Lucifer (and Michael and Adam) into the Cage. Michael and Lucifer have an eternity to figure things out between each other now. But that’s beside the point. The point is, now, that God has to start testing all over again. Not how to fix sibling relationships, but how to fix parent-child relationships.
God restores Castiel, perhaps for a few reasons because God exists outside of time, but originally it may have been just for one. He likes Castiel. He is impressed that Castiel invented free will for himself, broke free of angelic programming (multiple times over), and did it all for love. It’s novel. It’s interesting. God might even think it’s sweet. But God has had time later, and thought about it, and he has a plan. And Castiel is essential.
But Dean Winchester is the key.
Sam and Dean’s relationship with their own father has been strained, but both boys find a way to forgive John his flaws and failings, and love him. Whenever they do get a chance to see him again, post his death, they don’t hate him. They’ve healed. John’s relationship with Sam and Dean is one point of data, Abraham and Isaac another. There are many data points that God can reflect back on and consider.
But as S6 through S10 roll on, God watches Sam and Dean and Castiel. He even watches Crowley and Rowena for another data point. Dean is his main focus, however. (This is a little meta, but as the story focuses more on Dean than Sam post S5, it ties in. Prior to S6, both Sam and Dean were essential - the sibling test. Now, post S5, the parent test, Dean is the most essential. Of course, Sam and Castiel are important too. But Dean is key.)
Dean is a good father. He was a good father to Sam, even when he was only 6 years old himself. He was a good father to Ben. He was willing to die for Bobby John. He’s always good with kids. Not only that, but Dean is blunt enough, brave enough, and crazy enough to tell God to God’s face what he thinks. God needs Dean’s advice, his perspective and opinion on family relationships, but he also needs to see what Dean would do if he were in God’s shoes.
[Edit (1/04/21): After seeing Michael and Lucifer (mostly) heal, and after seeing Sam and Dean heal their relationship, God finally has hope for him and Amara. So God logically wants to retrieve Amara from her prison. But how? Well, he could just wander on up to Cain and do it himself, but what would Amara say? “So I see you’ve come crawling back, eh, Chucky?” She wouldn’t be impressed with God. She wouldn’t understand, because she’s hopeless too. SO how to give her hope? How to make her see that she and God can be okay again? Why, stick her near Dean Winchester, of course! So God sets things up for Dean to get and lose the Mark of Cain, thereby ensuring that Amara will feel a connection to Dean and stick around him/keep him alive long enough for Dean to work his life-coach magic.]
In S11, God and Amara heal their relationship because of the hope Sam and Dean gave God, and also the direct advice Dean gives God. God and Lucifer, not so much.
God needs more data. He needs to see what Dean would do. In comes Castiel’s relevance. God sets things up so that Lucifer can have a son. A nephil. Jack. And God points Castiel in Jack’s direction, trusting Castiel’s ability for unconditional love to keep Jack alive long enough for the experiment. Castiel becomes Jack’s father. But Castiel will never betray Jack, the way God betrayed Lucifer. And, besides, Castiel isn’t the target of this experiment. But it is Castiel’s relationship with Dean Winchester that provides the link needed to get the experiment rolling.
Because Jack is Castiel’s son, he is therefore Sam and Dean’s nephew. Except, God has been watching Castiel and Dean. And, frankly, their romantic love for each other is so obvious even God cannot miss it. Through Castiel, Dean sees Jack as his son too. He loves Jack, exactly like a son. In this way, Dean parallels God, and Jack parallels Lucifer.
But God knows Dean would not easily turn on any child, let alone his own child. So God had a plan for that too. One that Amara helped him with.
They brought back Mary Winchester.
Mary is the one person in existence whose loss would hurt Dean enough to spur him to action. So, she was brought back to die. It was a matter of only a few years of gentle prodding to get everything in position. Jack causes Mary’s death. Dean is faced with a horrible decision. If Jack can kill Mary, what’s to say that Sam and Castiel wouldn’t be next? Mary’s death is like everything beginning all over again for Dean as well. Her first death set off a chain reaction, a series of unfortunate events that spanned decades and nearly caused the ruination of not only Dean’s life, but Sam’s and John’s and even the world. That scar, which had healed as well as it could after 70 years, that God saw was healed in 10x05, has been violently opened up again. It’s the only thing that could force Dean’s hand, that could get him to betray Jack and try to kill him. If Jack had killed Sam or Castiel, it wouldn’t have had the same effect. Both Sam and Castiel had died and come back so many times, and while it would hurt Dean and make him doubt Jack, their deaths would be a sacrifice that Dean would feel obligated to respect, to give Jack a second chance like they would both want. (And God has been laying the groundwork for Dean, convincing him that Jack is evil, will be evil like Lucifer, can’t be allowed to live. All things God has thought about Lucifer over time. Was Lucifer inherently evil? Was their rift inevitable?)
So, here it is. The big test. Will Dean kill Jack? Will he betray Jack and cause an unhealable rift? Or will he find a way to heal, like he did with Sam against all the odds?
And, once again, Dean impresses God. He refuses to kill Jack.
But now we’re in the endgame. Sam, Dean and Castiel are aware that Jack’s life was only on the line because of God. It’s not something they can forgive, or understand. They’re all God’s guinea pigs, and while he loves his guinea pigs, he knows he’s hurt them in the name of science, of knowledge. or healing, and God can’t undo what he’s done. Free will is linear, after all. So it is time for the Winchesters, Castiel and Jack included, to be done with God. God is done with them, too. It’s time for them to be free and at peace. The experiments are done. God has decided not to kill Lucifer. He has decided to try to heal. He can get Lucifer out of the Empty and talk and try to fix things. He has forever to fix things, now that he knows he can. (The last element of this, Jack forgiving Dean for trying to kill him, is something I have limited knowledge of, but I am under the impression happens so... To be added in the edit once I finish the series.)
But the only way the Winchesters will be able to rest, is if they think God, the last and greatest villain, is out of the way. They know they’ve been manipulated their whole lives, first towards the sibling experiment and now the parent experiment, so they need to think God is gone so they can feel secure in their free will once more. Truthfully, God never took their free will. He set them up in situations, maybe even gave a bio-chemical nudge of anger (Dean) or attraction (Sam and Eileen) every now and then. But the choices were always theirs. Still, God knows they won’t see it that way. So he sets things up so that they can defeat him.
He lets them win. He wants them to win. They cannot defeat God, after all. It’s not God’s time, and Death is the only one who can claim God in the end, as the two embrace as friends and walk to the next existence. But the Winchesters need this, and so God allows it. A last gift, to the beings who have been such help, hope and inspiration to him.
With an eye for an eventual S16, 15x20 is written to be ‘an ending’ but also one that could easily be reframed as a bad dream.
For example...
Unfortunately, after Jack, suped up on a extra Grace God lent him, restores the Earth and expends all the Grace (”giving up the mantle of God so that their is no God, no plans, only Free Will”), and Dean, Sam and Jack head back to the Bunker to regroup and gather the ingredients to do the spell to rescue Castiel from the Empty, they’re jumped by monsters who are angry with how much God has fucked with them on behalf of the Winchesters. 15x20 is all a djinn dream Dean is trapped in.
16x01 is Dean waking himself up from the djinn dream, Sam and Jack escaping their own monsters, and then the end of 16x01 is Dean saying something about waking Castiel up from his own dreams in the Empty. The rest of S16 sees the boys save Castiel, reunite with Eileen, start a monster-hunting Bobby Singer/Men of Letters-esque organisation, Dean and Castiel getting together and getting married on Valentine’s Day, Jack getting to live a normal life, going to school, making friends, etc.
If their is no S16 ever (which would be criminal), then 15x20 makes no sense, unless it is plainly a recount of an old, hopeless ending written by God. However you spin it, 15x20 is not the way it seems (like owls).
All things being said, God is an antagonist, but he’s not evil. He’s an asshole, sure, but he never once worked against the Winchesters, never bet against them, never tried to erase or end them. He wanted them to win. He wanted to see the fruits of free will be love, second chances, hope, forgiveness, healing, and happiness, not just betrayal, pain, selfishness, jealousy, disappointment, and hopelessness.
Why is the ending he shows Becky ‘hopeless’? Because God is. He has spent his long existence losing his most loved family members. Amara, Lucifer. How can things end well for God, when they can’t even end well for humans? But Sam and Dean defy the script, again and again. They surprise God, defying the statistics, defying the hypotheses, throwing the experiment into disarray. Giving God hope. Sam and Dean were okay. Dean and Jack were okay. If God had a romantic love, he would find hope from Dean and Castiel being okay. But when God wrote the book he showed Becky, he was writing what he thought would happen. In the end, surely, not even Dean can be enough to hold Sam and Cas and Jack together. But in the end, as we see, as God sees, he is proven wrong and he’s happy to be wrong. He’s hopeful. And he can leave Dean, Sam, Castiel and Jack, and all the angels and all the humans, to rule the Earth and the Heavens. He doesn’t need to learn anything more from them, so he heads to the Empty, with Amara, with Lucifer, with Death (Billie or not, Death is there for God in the end), and they can all depart for a better existence of their own.
If you read all of this, thanks! I eagerly anticipate watching the remaining 10 seasons so I can come back and edit the heck outta this, but until then, if y’all have any thoughts, I’d be interested to hear them~
TLDR: God is a morally bankrupt scientist and the Winchesters are his guinea pigs, but he’s not evil and he does love his guinea pigs, even if he could really treat them nicer.

Black Widow - an entertaining movie that is about 5 years too late
So, finally watched Black Widow. And I would say its a solid win for MCU in terms of quality. Its an entertaining movies that also has a fairly strong emotional touch and filled with good performances from the entire cast and delivers some new fresh characters that I am looking forward to seeing in future MCU movies and tv shows. However, it is also largely a filler movie with a story that really isn't very significant in scope of the MCU and that has largely to do with the fact that this film is retroactively trying to fill in a period of time in Natasha's life where we know very significant things happen right before and right after. And as big as this film gets sometimes, it doesn't really compare to the events that occur before and after. Its definitely a film that I feel will not be remembered for what happened in the movie as compared to the character(s) is brought into the MCU. If it had been made post Civil War and before Infinity War, some of the story and character elements from this film would have been incorporated into the following films and helped make it more consistent. As it stands, there are scenes in Endgame that you feel Natasha would have brought up her found family, especially if they got dusted and I would expect that Clint and/or Steve would have known that there are people out there who care for Natasha just as much as they do after she dies. There is even a scene where Tony asks whether Natasha had any family and Steve responds that they were her only family. There are inconsistencies like that which stick out because of this film being retroactively made.
Firstly, the things that are good about this movie. The film starts of really well. The opening sequencing depicting the "fake" family life immediately endears us to this family unit, and especially the sister bond which is the heart of the film. There is a pretty chilling credit sequence which really gives it a different feel from most MCU movies. In fact, the film for much of the first half really feels more like a Bourne movie with more humor than a MCU superhero movie. And these are the parts where it works really well. The film wisely emphasizes on the family unit, being Natasha, Yelena, Alexei, and Melina and the acting and the chemistry of all actors involved is top notch.
Florence Pugh really steals the movie with probably the best etched character. She has all the best lines and she really gives Yelena a wonderful personality where she's a complete badass but you also get the naivety and the more juvenile and fun nature of a younger sibling. They wisely don't go overboard on the angst for her character, which they easily could have done. But Florence provides a lot of the best laughs in the movie. She's also the emotional core because her life is the one we see is the one that was full of happiness and joy as a child and was snatched away in the most brutal way possible and the family dynamic is what holds precious to her. Her chemistry with Scarlett is wonderful and both actors do wonderful work together. David Harbor is another scene stealer. Completely game at being a goofball and managing to bring the lovable dad vibes without doing away with the bad decisions that he made. Weisz has the most sedate role but she plays it perfectly. The film does try to excuse her behavior a bit too conveniently but she and David Harbor end up with some fun moments together. Then we come to Scarlett, who is really playing the straight man role in this movie. While we are used to a more witty and sarcastic BW, here she is a bit more closed off and acts as a foil for the more humorous characters to bounce off of. But she really hits the high gears in the last act where she faces off against Dreykov. Her performance opens up in a way that mirrors the character arc. Its a very strong performance and an excellent send off. I am not sure if its her best performance in the role. I think some scenes in Endgame are probably her best acting in the role and she was great in TWS as well. Probably need to rewatch this one again to settle on an opinion, but the climactic face off with Dreykov is very satisfying from a character and performance standpoint. Ray Winstone is appropriately slimy and sinister in the role of Dreykov.
When it comes to the negatives, apart from the fact that the film loses some of its emotional impact from feeling like a film that was released so late, in that none of the characters ever feel like they are in danger since we know they appear in future shows or films set in the future chronology, the main issue with the movies is with the last act which does devolve into more standard superhero destruction as well as some story choices when it comes to villain and backstory. When it comes to the action, most of it is competent and well helmed but there is nothing quite as compelling as a film like TWS, which this film does bear a striking resemblance to in some ways. There is no doubt that Taskmaster falters when it comes to comparisons with the Winter Soldier who was a similar sort of menace. The way Taskmaster is characterized ends up feeling like a half measure. It is connected to Natasha in a personal way but that connection isn't given the time and emotional depth that it should. The Budapest sequence, that has been talked about so much, in this movies and all the movies before, is only given a brief flash and given how big a role Budapest plays in Natasha's guilty conscience and the tie in with Taskmaster and Dreykov, its a big mistake. Also, this feels like the last chance we had to see the origins of the Natasha and Clint relationship which has only ever been alluded to. So it feels like a big missed opportunity. So when part of the final action set piece is supposed to involve the emotion about Natasha confronting her past, while well acted, its just not emotionally powerful enough. And without that, Taskmaster is just an emotionless machine, which is disappointing from a comic book fan's perspective. Drekov, while incredibly slimy and villainous, appears also in far too little of the movie to really make an impact. I understand, that part of the story of the movie is finding where he is because he's like a ghost that haunts them all, but without much menace from Taskmaster, Dreykov's lack of screen time also makes him a bit of misfire despite no issue with Ray Winstone's performance. These issues feel particularly prevalent in the last act where the villain story all comes together.
The film does end on a bittersweet note. The reconciliation of the family and the sisters is sweet but the post credit scene is genuinely heartbreaking. From everything we know, this was Scarlett's last movie and its a shame we won't get her share more screen time with Florence Pugh's Yelena, who I think will be the legacy of this movie going forward. I am really looking forward to seeing more of her and her role in Hawkeye as teased. That has a potential to be emotionally rich as well. As for this movie, I think its a solid B-tier MCU movie which is not bad at all. A 7.5/10. Might go up or down on a rewatch.

Okay, so you mentioned that Wild was another favorite... Headcanons please? [Watch me just keep doing this until I see every single boy get headcanons XD]
Yeah so I'm just gonna keep doing these lol. Let's see if I can get through all the boys by the end of the weekend.
Wild Headcanons!
As before, here’s the giant mis-mash of canon/LU canon/fanon/headcanon that I use for writing Wild.
Genderfluid. Defaulted to ‘he’ after waking up because it’s what everyone around him assumed, got slapped in the face in Gerudo Town with how good it felt to be called ‘she.’ Zelda knows to use ‘she’ when Wild is dressed a certain way, but it’s Hyrule who brings up the idea of being gender neutral and Warriors who introduces them both to the term ‘genderfluid’ and to using ‘they’ as a pronoun. Basically, Wild is slowly collecting pronouns like candy and it’s very exciting. They can’t wait to share the new things they’ve discovered on the topic and how they think it applies to them with Zelda; she’ll be just as happy about it as they are. Still mostly defaults to ‘he’ out of a combination of habit and continuing to figure out good signals for when their pronouns change, but that is shifting as time goes on.
Functionally aro/ace, at least for now. He’s focusing on rediscovering who he is and establishing familial and platonic relationships. Will probably hit one hell of an experimental phase before too much longer.
Wild’s journey/story arc is largely one of experimentation and self discovery. Curiosity is the driving force behind most of the decisions he makes. (Along with just having fun. Wild loves to have fun.)
Adventure buddies with Hyrule. They pretty much bonded instantly over their shared love of exploration and nature.
Has lots of similarities with Wind even though they don’t see eye to eye on certain topics. (Kings of Hyrule, anyone?) When Wild is feeling their silliest or just needs to have some fun to let off steam, Wind is the one they turn to.
Slightly intimidated by Warriors and Sky. Warriors seems a model knight, something Wild feels he failed to be and maybe even slightly resents. Sky also talks about being in the Knight Academy, and of course there was the whole thing with the Master Sword. Wild very much does not want Sky to get mad at him again. Nobody likes it when Sky is mad at them.
Obviously has strong familial feelings towards Twilight, and by extension Time
Has sass, generally more positive than Legend but not afraid to throw hands
Occasionally has depressive episodes and the memory-flashbacks
Wild doesn’t actually cook all the groups’ meals. He’s not the only one who is competent around a cook pot, he’s just the most passionate about it. And also the one who keeps most of the group’s food, given the slate’s ability to keep food fresh.
Wild is in fact very frustrated and somewhat humiliated by the shitty quality of his weapons, now that he’s seen enough of the others to know that none of them have the same issues with stuff just breaking as he does. Knowledge of how to care for and maintain weapons was not one of the things that carried over from his previous life, plus he keeps doing things like hitting frigging rocks with his blades. The others are slowly teaching him better.
Adrenaline. Junkie.
Thinks of their past self as a stranger who happened to inhabit their body. Had anxiety-induced muteness pre-calamity, began talking again after they woke up. They did retain sign language. Will occasionally default to it if their throat is paining them.
Has a bit of a rasp due to vocal chord damage that the shrine didn’t quite fix all the way; his voice starts to get tired if he does a lot of talking. The scars sometimes cause him mobility issues. The masseuse in gerudo town gave him oil for them and taught him how to massage the tissue to help, but he tends to forget to do it.
Hair is constantly tangled. He takes a stab at brushing it most days but not nearly thoroughly or often enough to keep it from turning into a horrible rats nest.
Is it gonna be fun? Great it’s a good idea let’s go.
Considers basically everybody in his Hyrule to be his family. Has adopted family in pretty much every race, village, and stable. His Hyrule loves him and he loves them back. Kass and Teba are like dads. Riju is his BFF and fellow pun enthusiast. The villagers of Hateno are especially protective of both him and Zelda once she comes to live with him there. There’s Impa and Dorian in Kakariko. Sidon and Paya are both potential Significant Other material if he ever becomes interested in that stuff. He gets fussed over in all the stables, greeted with enthusiasm in Tarrey Town and with the Gorons… Most of the citizens of his Hyrule don’t have any association between him and what happened 100 years ago, they just know him as the person who made things better this time.
Falls into a sibling relationship with their Zelda post-adventure. Neither of them have any interest in restoring the system that failed both of them so badly, especially after all the time that has elapsed. Zelda is quite happy with the opportunity to just be herself, exploring and experimenting and re-establishing relationships of her own.
One of the more religious of the group. He prays and leaves offerings at every statue, in every temple. Wild’s Hyrule has very active spirits and a large variety of religions, both ancient and current. (Hylia, the little ancestor statues all over the place, the dragons, the Gerudo seven, Malanya…) Wild’s personal experience has been that paying basic respects leads to good things (finding Koroks, increases in health and stamina, someone watching out for his horses…)
Wild takes lots of pictures, not just of people but of places and plants and animals. He’s recording his travels to show Zelda when he gets home. He knows she would kill him if he didn’t.
The others: Four | Sky | Legend | Hyrule | Warriors

Piper Mclean ABC’s
a/n ; yet again i have forgotten to post. this is my last though so whoopie no more scheduled inspiration.
pairing ; piper x gn!reader
wc ; 1,613
request ; nah, but we’re getting to the other dw pls shits alphabetical
- day

Activities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?
She loves loves loves going on hikes or walks with you. Finding old playgrounds or cool monuments makes her feel like she’s adventuring with you.
Beauty - What do the admirer s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?
You’re so considerate of everyone around you, even if you aren’t aware of it. She thinks it’s incredibly beautiful how kind you are to everyone, but knows that she’ll have to keep an eye out for people who try to take advantage of that.
Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?
Piper is the type to sit with you quietly when you’re having a down day. She might bring you some snacks and cuddle with you, but understands that some days are just like this. She’s similar with attacks, but usually tries to distract you with your surroundings like “Pick out 5 things you can see, 4 things you can hear, 3 things you can smell…” and so on.
Dreams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?
Piper wants to travel the world with you, trying new things and having new experiences with you. She fully plans to spend the rest of her life adventuring with you and if you have siblings that have kids, she plans on being the cool auntie that brings trinkets back.
Equal - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?
It’s fairly equal, but she likes to mess around a lot. If she walks in on you changing, she’ll tease the shit out of you for it and make the embarrassment last a whole day.
Fight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?
Piper can be petty ngl, if she gets angry she might make it obvious. Kinda how kids do things to show their parents they’re angry like angrily sweeping while glaring or something. But she’ll get pouty if you laugh at her antics and the issue will be resolved soon after.
Gratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?
She has this cute habit of saying thank you when you do the smallest things. You could give her a glass of water and she’ll go “:3 thank youuuu”. There is almost never a moment where you feel underappreciated for anything you do.
Honesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?
There isn’t a lot that she doesn’t share, but just like in The Lost Hero, if there is something huge bothering her or if there is a potential threat, she will struggle alone. It kills her to hide something from you, but when it comes to light, she nearly breaks down in tears as she gushes out everything she withheld.
Inspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helping them overcome personal problems?
She’s still working on bits of herself, but it's not drastic changes. She may have a tendency to fall back on her bad habits, but when you scold her for it, she makes a mental note to do better.
Jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
Piper hates to admit it, but she gets jealous just like everyone else. It was more prominent when you two weren’t dating, but it still happens even as you begin dating. It isn’t major, but you’ll know when she feels as if someone is catching your attention or vice versa.
Kiss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
it’s unfair, but being a daughter of Aphrodite makes her good at all forms of love and affection. Her kisses are absolutely intoxicating and you feel drunk after each one. Even a short peck has you in a daze.
Love Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
You two were up late because Leo wanted to show Piper his new invention and you were already on your way to visit him to make sure he wasn’t forgetting to care for himself again. The late hour impaired your decision making abilities and you just… went for it. So you two ended up kissing in Bunker 9 as Leo dozed off on his work bench. Luckily he never found out.
M = Memory (What’s their favourite memory together?)
You both got the chance to hide in the lot of a drive in theater that was playing the movie UP. The monster never found you, and you got to cuddle up with Piper as you both cried in the first 5 minutes of the movie.
Nicknames - What do they call their s/o?
Piper calls you by nickname usually, but will use cute pet names like lovey or baby when it’s the two of you and no one else is around.
On Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?
Piper is constantly hitting on you, even after you started dating so when the lines get bolder… it can be embarrassing. Everyone tries to ignore you two now, but sometimes the free entertainment is funny as hell.
PDA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?
Corny pick up lines are a regular occurrence, but Piper also really likes keeping you beside her. She’s not clingy enough to not let you do your own thing, but she enjoys keeping and hand or arm on your shoulder at all times. Even if it’s just throwing a leg over your lap as she sits down on the couch.
Quirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.
She brings a spark to the relationship, something that keeps it feeling like you never left the honeymoon phase. She often spoke about hating being Aphrodites daughter, but it was beneficial in her relationships. The spark would have been there without her godly parent, but it sure gives emphasis.
Romance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?
Despite being the daughter of love itself, she is terrible at planning out romantic things. However, she seems to make the trashiest moments slightly romantic. You two could be on a quest together and sleeping in the back of a truck full of rotten veggies and she’ll make you feel like you’re in a truck full of… fresh veggies.
Support - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?
One of your biggest cheerleaders. She’ll drag Leo along as well just to be the loudest at your events, be it by voice or by holding up signs with your name in big glittery letters.
Thrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice up your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?
She’s had quite enough of thrills at a young age, but she won’t mind traveling and trying new foods. She’ll find out she’s allergic to some obscure spice and the humorous panic she spouted on the way to the ER was enough for you to want to strangle her yourself.
Understanding - How well do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?
Piper is very empathetic. It’s often scary how much she can understand your feelings even if you aren’t exactly open about them. She’ll pick up on your mood and somehow pick apart what caused it and if she can, she’ll fix it as best as she can.
Value - How important is the relationship to them? What is it worth in comparison to other things in their life?
Once Piper sees you as family, she’s ready to risk it all for you. If she has to walk the earth just to find you and ensure you’re safe, she would in a heartbeat.
Wild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.
Her hair had gotten too long one summer and she had given you permission to grab a pair of scissors and go nuts. She never really cared about how her hair looked anyway, so it wouldn’t hurt for you to do it. Her only request was that you wouldn’t make it look nice. Her hair would look great anyway so you cut randomly, feeling like Piper was your personal Barbie doll and you were an odd child, cutting away the hair of the doll.
XOXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?
SHe likes touching you, be it an arm or holding your hand, maybe even kissing your temple when you’re around people. She’s not a cuddle bug entirely, but she does welcome those moments when you just flop down on her, groaning as she wraps her arms and legs around you tightly, “Hah! Now you’re trapped!”
Yearning - How will they cope when they’re missing their partner?
Absolutely whines to you before you leave, but once you do she acts like she’s not all too affected. “Like yeah I miss them but I’m not gonna cry about it.” What a lie.
Zeal - are they willing to go to great lengths for the relationship? If so, what kind of?
She’s willing to start a war with every god if you were in question, now she wouldn’t want to come down to that, but she’s willing to fight for you.

Thoughts on Grey’s Anatomy: 17X7
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
They did it! I can’t believe it! They actually killed DeLuca off! I’m so happy right now! As long time readers will know I have never been a Andrew DeLuca fan and I speculated back in the summer that they might be planning to write his character off after it was revealed that the planned finale for Season 16 included an explosion that was supposed to claim the life of one of the characters. I speculated that DeLuca was the most likely candidate with Tom and Jackson being the most likely runners up because I felt that they had gone as far as they could with DeLuca’s character and there wasn’t much left for him to do on the show.
Add that to the fact that the actor who plays DeLuca said a bunch of stuff to the press last year where he spoiled some pretty major plot points and stated that he knew things about where the show was going when he hadn’t even read a single script for the season yet and I was pretty sure his days were numbered. That being said, the show had teased us a bunch of times about firing, killing, or writing off the character during seasons 15 and 16 and they never went through with it so a big part of me was skeptical that they ever would.
But it turns out I was right! His days were numbered and they wound up killing him off in the Mid-Season Premiere! I’m still in shock. It hasn’t really sunk in yet to be honest. This episode honestly made me wish we’d gotten to see the remaining episodes and finale of Season 16 as planned. Based on what we know it looks like the plan was for Richard, Bailey, Meredith, and Carina to stage an intervention, DeLuca was to go away and get treatment and return to the hospital only to die tragically in an explosion.
Season 17 would have opened with the characters finding out about that and mourning his death and I think it would have been interesting to see Meredith navigate that as in the Finale Hayes asked her out and she said yes. It seems likely that if the COVID-19 Pandemic had not hit when it did and shut down production and altered filming for this season we would have seen Meredith and Hayes go out for a drink and start dating.
Seeing Meredith navigate the loss of her ex-boyfriend who she was no longer close to while in the beginning stages of her relationship with Hayes would have been very interesting and I’m sorry we didn’t get to see that. I’m also sorry that due to safety restrictions Meredith and Hayes haven’t had much screen time this season, but it looks like that’s about to change as I’ll get into a bit later.
Back to the episode at hand. I never liked DeLuca as a character and I hated him with Meredith so I’m glad that they killed him off and that we never have to deal with that nonsense again. I’m glad that they caught the human trafficker Opal and took those people down. I was never super invested in that storyline so I’m glad they wrapped that up. I feel so bad for Carina though. She’s a great character and is wonderfully acted by Stefania Spampinato.
My heart broke for her in this episode because while I won’t miss her brother I know that she will and will be absolutely gutted when she finds out that he’s died especially after she worked so hard to get him help and treatment for his Bipolar Disorder. I’m glad she has Maya there to support her.
LOL at Bailey sleeping through the whole damn episode! What did I miss indeed! That poor woman slept through DeLuca getting stabbed, almost dying, not dying, having surgery twice, and then actually dying as well as the other shenanigans going on at the hospital. I loved that she was asleep at Meredith’s bedside especially after they spent a good chunk of Season 16 fighting.
I also feel really bad for Richard in that he’s obviously grateful that DeLuca helped save his life and wanted to help and when Owen turned him down because it wasn’t a good idea for him to scrub in Richard lurked in the background in the OR gallery the whole time to make sure that everything was okay. Plus he can’t talk to Meredith about it right now because she’s in a coma which must be so difficult for him. The extra stress also puts his sobriety at risk and that worries me.
I got to be honest I am struggling to understand Teddy’s point of view this season. She’s being really awful! She’s being cruel to Tom. She was cruel to Owen. I don't know what Teddy expected to have happen. Both Cristina and Amelia walked away from their marriages to Owen and moved on with their lives in large part because they realized Owen was in love with Teddy and always would be.
And then she finally gets what she’s wanted all these years and the minute she realizes Amelia’s baby might be Owen’s and not Link’s she runs back to Tom and has a several months long affair with him and then drops him like a hot potato as soon as she realizes that the baby is Link’s and after Owen finds out about the affair she refuses to talk to Tom for months and then comes crawling back to him and wants to be his friend after Owen makes it clear he wants nothing to do with her. WTF?
I feel bad for Tom. I really like his character. He’s super interesting and complex and he deserves better than someone who treats him like that. Tom is a good man at heart and he treated Teddy like gold and in return she’s done nothing but break his heart and stomp all over him when he’s already down. He deserves someone better. I’ve never been an Owen fan, but honestly Teddy is behaving so horribly I’m on his side on this one.
They had some great scenes in the OR together, but Teddy clearly read too much into it. Every time he gives her a crumb she’s convinced he’s forgiven her and wants to give her a second chance and that’s not it at all. Owen has been clear. He doesn’t forgive her and he doesn’t want to get back together with her. All he wants is to co-parent peacefully and work together as colleagues because he values her skills as a surgeon. That’s it.
It was cute to see Teddy Face Timing with Leo. I’m glad they are finding safe ways to incorporate the kids into the story. Speaking of which, the scene where Amelia and Maggie tell Zola that her Mom has been placed on a vent and she might not come off it was heartbreaking. That kid has grown into her own as an actress and really holds her own in that scene.
Her line about how she didn’t want them to tell Bailey or Ellis yet because they’re too young to understand broke me heart. Zola’s only a few years older than them but she’s old enough to understand the impact of what’s happening in a way that they can’t. And she remembers how hard it was when Derek died. When Cristina left. When Alex left. She doesn’t want to put her siblings though the same thing especially when Alex’s departure is still so fresh for them and they never got a chance to really know their Dad. The fact that Zola can recognize that at such a young age is raw and heart breaking.
We saw Winston and Maggie reconnect this episode which would have been super hot and enjoyable if Meredith hadn’t just been put on a ventilator! The scene where Jackson showed up looking for Maggie was too funny! I loved the scenes with Jackson, Link, and Winston in the backyard having beers! Winston has a great sense of humour and seems to be a calming presence. I like the idea of those three being friends.
Link’s face when he realized that Winston doesn’t know that Maggie and Jackson used to date and are also step-siblings. I’ll be interested to see Winston’s reaction when that comes out. I loved Link’s rant about how worried he was about Meredith and what her declining health and potential death was doing and would do to Amelia. Did anyone else catch that he called Amelia his wife? I’m calling it. They’re foreshadowing an Amelink wedding!
I liked hearing Jackson talk about how Meredith is family and they’re all worried and Winston’s comments about how all they can do is just keeping moving physically and metaphorically. I’m also loving Amelia and Maggie’s wardrobes this season. Their sweaters in this episode were gorgeous! Hats off to the wardrobe department! They’re looking good!
I loved seeing Jo and Hayes work together again because I love their friendship, but to be honest I was expecting more of the friendly teasing and banter of last season where she egged him on about Meredith and they traded barbs. Their scenes in this episode were a lot more intense and agitated. She totally played him with that line about Meredith.
He kept saying no to taking Luna to see her Mom and so Jo made it personal for him. If Meredith asked to see her kids Hayes would never say no and he would move heaven and earth for her. By making that connection Jo got him to agree to her plan. I also love that the reason he kept saying no in the beginning was because of what happened to Meredith.
She went from laughing and joking to being put on a vent and he doesn’t want to run the risk with any other patient and it’s obviously eating him up inside. He misses her. He cares about her and he’s clearly terrified about the possibility of her not waking up. That being said, Jo’s line where she compared Alex leaving her for Izzie because he found out he had kids he didn’t know he had and sending her a heartfelt letter to Hayes spending years watching his wife and the mother of his two boys die of cancer was way out of line. Super not okay. I really think that Jo is going to adopt that baby. I think that’s why they are setting up her interest in OBGYN.
In other news, Nico is still a terrible boyfriend to Levi. I honestly don’t know why Levi puts up with him. Levi really shone in this episode I think. He felt responsible for what happened, but instead of bungling things and making things worse like he might have done in the past he got out of his own way and asked Dr. Khan who was a vascular surgeon in Pakistan prior to immigrating to the U.S. to take his place.
I feel like this episode implies that the Beach is limbo now as I don’t know how else DeLuca could have ended up there as he wasn’t someone who was close to Meredith the way that Derek, George, Richard, and Bailey are. Not sure how I feel about that as I was kind of liking the is it a COVID dream is it the afterlife ambiguity.
Onto next week’s promo! I’m not excited that they appear to be setting up an episode in which the other characters mourn DeLuca’s passing as none of the other characters apart from Carina were really that close to him. They spent the last two seasons establishing that everyone hated his guts, considered him a nuisance, and only put up with him because they had to. So to me the other characters mourning him doesn’t feel authentic or real. It just feels forced.
There are several things I am excited about though. Seeing Maggie’s reaction to his death I think will be interesting. She was visibly upset and ran to his side when Alex beat him up in Season 13 and mourning the loss of your ex-boyfriend who you were no longer close to while being in a committed relationship with someone new I think is an interesting dynamic. She’s kinda standing in for Meredith here because she’s on a vent.
I’d like to see Catherine support Richard and make up for her horrible behaviour last season. And the best thing of all: Hayes!!! In the promo trailer we see Hayes sitting at Meredith’s bedside talking to her about how she needs to fight and how they all need her to fight. Bring it on! It’s about damn time! And Derek’s back and he’s … fishing? I’m excited to see what happens there and if they actually get to talk and have a real conversation this time. It has also been announced that Sarah Drew will be returning for a cameo as Dr. April Kepner this season so I’m excited for that!
Until next time!

Which islanders would you place in a found-family trope? And do you have any back story ideas on how they got there?
i like to think of some of the islanders having a found family trope right there, on the show. and i’ll explain why.
lucas.
it kind of pains me to talk about lucas’ situation regarding his genetic family (?). the way i see, he has some issues with his father where both of them are exactly the same, battling over control every opportunity they can, and often their relationship faces fallouts because of it.
it’s not difficult to see why lucas gets so attached to henrik, right away. i really don’t think it’s something of the romantic nature, it’s purely because lucas finds in henrik the little brother he can “father”, much better than he was by his own dad. the way he becomes so protective of henrik really shows that little fraternal love was dying to find someone to adopt.
i don’t believe lucas develops such a close friendship with anyone else though. he might find things in common with carl, once they meet, or maybe have a prickly conversation with kassam and get along, but henrik is his little brother.
kassam.
his found family (in the villa) is his girlfriend. someone like kassam doesn’t remind anyone of the “family type” if you take a closer look. his occupation might not be what his parents expected from him, and he definitely becomes more and more cynical because of it.
his found family (outside) is his crew, the one that travels with him. i can picture kassam’s vevo/youtube channel with at least two videos of him and his crew messing around on stage, before concerts, or in the touring bus, laughing, goofing around, having a good time when they can.
the type of video that really shows how close and good companions to each other they are. these are the people he truly count on and can trust. he doesn’t have siblings, so it’s hard for me to imagine he gets along with his parents besides being there for christmas, if he ever shows up.
carl.
in my head carl doesn’t really have his parents anymore. the whole texting them on that day really doesn’t apply. i don’t see carl as the kind of guy that has family roots and truly believes in them until he sees it with his own eyes.
and that’s what happens when he meets new people, like the boys in the villa, and his girlfriend.
that’s where his faith in family is restored and he really changes the way he sees love and friendship. “family is whoever you choose” becomes a reality for him, too hard to ignore.
i love the headcanon of carl being really close to gary and bobby. if you want to read more about that, click here. i explain in more detail why i think crane boy and cupcake would be close to him. (plus, i’ll develop that friendship in “skip a beat”)
ibrahim.
he says himself his family is basically about his brothers and father being smooth, and that might be the type of thing that really drives them apart. for once, ibrahim doesn’t see the need of being that guy anymore, after meeting mc and jo.
guys like bobby, gary and noah tease him about it, but he knows they’re not truly pushing him to become a ladies’ man. they just tease each other about their flaws all the time. gary about dad jokes, bobby being a clown and noah being too quiet. it’s a healthy kind of teasing that rahim might perceive as a fresh take on brotherhood.
and that’s not counting mc, who can become real mates with him in certain routes. i talk about it more here.
mc.
whoever you choose to be your best friend in the villa will proceed to stay brother/sister for the rest of their lives. it’s just that simple. in my case that person is chelsea, but it can be lottie, hope, priya, marisol. the boys that are always present like bobby, gary, rahim.
they all have the potential of being mc’s found family. we know most of the times that’s not the case, but i believe between mc and her best friend in there that bond is strong enough to resist time and distance.
if you ask me, all my mc’s are clinking a glass of bubbly to her laptop screen while spilling the tea with chelsea at least twice a month.
~~
people like lottie or bobby are the ones that have their own crew on the outside, and despite of becoming friends with lots of people in the villa, they still have their family and close friends, taking one (maybe two) islanders to their own daily life.
to me, lottie will try and pursue the friendship with hannah, and try to stay in touch with hope.
bobby will make an attempt with rahim, noah and gary. gary more than the others.

Okay I lied....one more thing
Aaron getting a new non Robert love interest is going to happen eventually If Ryan never comes back. It’s inevitable. No matter how much I hate it.
But two things. 1, they should want said new love interest to be an actual character first because that’s going to make the relationship better. And 2, the show should really bring in more lgbt characters, period, without them immediately having to be a new love interest for Aaron.
So emmerdale, I see your “here’s a guy Aaron used to bully, let’s make them potentially date” and I raise you a “let’s bring in a new gay character that isn’t connected to Aaron through trauma or connected at all and doesn’t even have any trauma connected to being gay and let’s make them friends”.
I’d just rather they have a new character move into the village, maybe into the other Mill flat (or Dale View after Wendy and Luke tragically die). Maybe he moves in with his brother or sister because I like sibling relationships. And yes, immediately Aaron’s family and the sibling are like “hey you two should date” but both are like “no” and they bond over that. Despite the letter closure, Aaron’s still not really ready for anything serious and maybe this guy also just had a bad break up and that’s part of the reason for the move and the fresh start.
And then they’re just friends. And maybe they go out to bar west together. And maybe the sibling has a big story for this new guy to be a part of initially and he’s able to talk to his new best friend Aaron about it all.
Meanwhile, Aaron does other things too. Maybe the garage is struggling and he buys in. Who knows. But that would get him back into the village more and allow him to interact with other people.
And then maybe both Aaron and the friend are sort of ready to date again but not each other. So they go out, they have some awkward dates. Aaron’s never really go anywhere much beyond a couple weeks. The friend eventually meets someone new and has their own big on screen relationship story that Aaron can be the supportive friend for because he rarely gets that role these days.
And maybe this relationship for the friend is some kind of big dramatic thing or some kind of issue story of his own and really digs deep into his character. And maybe it ends in some soapy dramatic fashion and Aaron is there to pick up the pieces.
So now it’s been like a year/ year and a half/ two years since this character was introduced. We know who they are. We’ve seen If he and Aaron have any chemistry together.
Maybe Aaron is dating someone new that’s another one of these three week relationships and the friend realizes he’s jealous. And that he really has been sort of in love with Aaron for a while.
Meanwhile, the show has done everything in its power to convince Ryan to come back because this friend would absolutely step aside for the legend that is Aaron’s one true love. But all avenues have been exhausted and short of kidnapping him, they can’t get Ryan back.
And so then, after the friend is an established character and Aaron has had plenty of time away from major romantic relationships. And all of us have successfully given up the show. Then, then they can do a friends to lovers story with them and it might actually work.
I’m just saying...the show should have more lgbt characters that don’t have to immediately date Aaron. They can have their own stories too. And that the show should play the long game.

May I have prompts for Honey, Ravi and Luca? :)
oh my goodness, i’m so excited you asked ! i’ll put each prompt in it’s own little section. in general i think they are three very different and exciting characters and something that could be included as a prompt is their view on what they’re planning to do with their life next, whether they know it’s a fresh start or not. tw death.
ravi - i would love to see a little background on this character who i adore, something about his family and work ethic that made him so passionate about pursuing a career. i’d also be very interested to see what he thinks about his own death, the perspective of waking up and realise your entire life was spent on work and now you have the choice to repeat it all over again or to choose a different path. a small insight into his relationship with tal would be just beautful *chefs kiss*
honey - this is a character that is a blank slate and she has the potential to show who she really is in a new place where nobody knows her. i think you could easily look back at her crime, the things she has done wrong and the strain of her family relationships but you could also visit and explore what makes honey, honey. she has a loud and abstract personality, in a way she adds a layer of being a classic young person trying to find her way - you could easily show us a lot of different sides to her and her real hopes, wants, dreams, the direction that she plans to take now she has a fresh start (ignoring that this fresh start might be the undoing of the endings of others).
luca - luca was one of the first characters i wrote and i think the most special part about this character is exploring their spiritual connection and their view on life, death and everything in between. an insight into that beautifully misunderstood part of them that believes everything happens for a reason and why now that may all change. i’d love to see writing about luca’s relationship with fawna as a step-sibling, the family dynamics and how it felt to become an outcast. i’d also adore to see a little reflection of how luca feels about whether or not they can save george and nina this time and if they do, what is the ultimate consequence?
