happy halloweeen!! here's my take on a "core refresh" pack (part 6)

frankie's fashion is very experimental. they like to explore themselves through what they wear since they're just learning things about the world. to symbolize their personality, they have a "quirky" style of fashion. mostly mismatched, mostly all over the place. there's not really a category for frankie's style... not that i can think of. they like to wear anything, honestly. dresses, suits, overalls, shirts, shorts, boots, heels. they're trying to figure out their style, so sometimes they'll incorporate some more colors. they like black and white, but they add teal in. yellow is another color added.

they don't wear real/natural silver because they've learned that this can harm their fellow monsters. any silver accessories they have is fake (painted grey, because that's a way to work around it)

they experiment with piercings

this was in my og design, but they have a huge patch over their left eye. it's plaid, so sometimes they try their best to match their outfits well enough for them to look aesthetically pleasing

likes patterns. stripes, plaid, etc. etc.

clawdeen's fashion is furry and bold. again, this is the fashionista of the school. she is the queen of fashion. again, she likes fur and animal print. whatever she chooses to wear is what usually sets the trends and expectations for those at monster high. she loves to explore herself though. i'd say her style evolves, but these are the main ideas of her fashion. she loves purple, but she also loves green. maybe has a french fashion inspiration? i don't really know how to label it. it's sort of mcbling, but also the style you'd expect of a very cunty aunt who likes shopping. she likes pants best, ngl. jeans are great. skirts are fine by her, she just loves pants.

i like the idea of clawdeen constantly changing up her style. yes, she can also wear something like her g3 outfits. much more coordinated. what i've displayed is the style that takes up most of her closet, tho

she wears glasses, but she has different pairs for each outfit

green is a color she loves so much but doesn't make use of it enough

the wolf family has a little emblem thing i've snuck onto each. it's a golden circle pendant with a small moon on the inside, two little bars holding up the design so it floats. it could also look like a money symbol... idk like coins. it's good luck. mostly for money manifesting and all. she runs with the gold and goes crazy. only gold, no bronze accessories. ever.

on days of the full moon, she will wear super loose clothing. the moon cycles could also impact her fashion choices.

draculaura's fashion is very iconic. a sort of gothy, classic, and romantic sort of look. i'd say she likes to take a spin on victorian styles and make them modern... while also mashing together those 2010s pink/black skull prints and tees that we all know and love. i really like the idea of her in a long dress that hits the floor. i would say she's romantic goth. she likes frills, long ball gowns, lace, and hats that can cover her from the sun whenever she has to travel outside in the daytime. lots of slip dresses if she wants to be more casual. elegance, but done cutely.

the silhouette of an outfit is what matters most to her when it comes to fashion

if she wears a skirt, she wears a big petticoat underneath. a very big petticoat

her parasol can be used interchangeably with a large hat. she always wants either or to match her outfit. and they are always kind of extra

her "victorian" style is a sort of nod to her immortality. she probably likes that fashion period best and likes to try and honor that

i like the idea of her experimenting with her hair. it was a g3 idea, kinda. but bangs, streaks, half and half, etc. i like to imagine draculaura being into the big goth hair

cleo's style is very similar to her g1 style. gold. blues. elegant, fresh, modern, and incredibly easy on the eyes. obviously, she loves to flaunt her designer clothing around school. and since she is so popular, it's expected for her to serve look after look. you will never ever see her look bad. every cleo portrayal i've seen never has enough mummy wrap. she needs it to survive and yet, she only has like, one or two bands on her arms. my cleo's fashion is all about wrap-themed clothing. she has lots of wraps. sometimes she comes up with ways to mix that or even show off her monster trait and heritage. she loves see-through, glittery material too, obviously paired on top of something. but it's glamourous. it's rich. it's sometimes a little 90s inspired, but mostly fresh.

this cleo loves pants. loose pants work, i suppose. but she likes them baggy. one of the best examples of what she likes to wear for pants would be those baggy pyramid-textued pants i designed for her once

gets custom made jewelry (braclets, earrings, etc) that spell out her name in hieroglyphics

likes shorter skirts, but secretly admires longer skirts ten times more

blue lover. any shade. try her. she will obviously mix around her makeup, nails, and hair to work around whatever blue she's feeling

loves gems. lots of gems. real ones, obviously.

doesn't like socks very much. she can literally just do the same thing socks do for feet with mummy wrap. same with stockings

#11 Emily | She's like a breath of fresh air from all the red and pink tones. The baby and periwinkle blue is so beautiful and so are her features. Them big ass eyes, the freckles, & whimsical hair. I liked her dress too. Big W's for Em. 💙

#10 Niffty | Cutieeeee. I really like her redesign compared to the old one. 1950's style of fashion is also still very appealing to me as well. The pink dress she was wearing was so fucking adorable I almost had a stroke just to see it in person. She's also weirdly gorgeous covered in angel blood. 💄

#9 Charlie Morningstar | Ngl...a lil disappointed in our girl. As the main character....to have so many just similar looking outfits with not much variety is kinda the most unsatisfying thing ever. It often feels like her fanart and photos that we rarely ever see contain better outfits than the ones that repeatedly appear in the show. However there's nothing really wrong with her final design I just sometimes really miss the old one from the pilot. I think her rounder features and the lighter pink suited her better. Final battle outfit was her best look so far tho in my opinion. 💋

#8 Sir Pentious | Sir Pentious style sorta never changed, he's still rocking that snake do-rag and that suit top that's striped just like everybody else's. 😮‍💨 I really wish they would've made Pentious' suit a floral pattern. I know stripes might have been popular in the 1800s but floral was very popular too and it'd be something different that'd still completely match his Era. I love his steam punk style and his other creative looks but his HEAVEN outfit was just the best. Saint Pentious > Sinner Pentious!! 🤍

#7 Velvette | Thank LUCI they changed and upgraded this girl bro. She was lowkey a hot fucking mess in my opinion before. Man did she come out SWINGING. Not just with looks but also personality I was floored. She's literally the Queen of hairdos and assembling, not many people can pull off that many patterns. Unique and trendy with the energy to back it up. Velvette you'll always be famous!! ❤

#6 Lucifer Morningstar | 6.6.6!!! Very few outfits but I never seen a moment where this man did not serve!! He's always got that fire ass coat on and he gives you the hatsssss. They're stylish while also telling you exactly who he is. It's like regal as fuck while also kinda simple. You don't have to think too much while ogling to just know that he's a dapper ass cHaD. ❤️‍🔥🍎

#5 Cherri Bomb | Loved all of Cherri's outfits. She fucking devoured and blown away over half the competition. She is Kesha vibes. Mama is Avril Lavigne vibesss. She just gives it to you with her punk rock, y2k, fashion. (I know she's supposed to 80s Era but still lol..) Always loved her base look but the final battle outfit and the one from the addict music video were amazing. 🍒

#4 Vaggie | Vaggie the fucking queen you areeee. Talk about versatility. She can really pull off a lot. I noticed that she experiments with her hair a lot like Velvette and I LOVE THAT. The fucking bob?!? High ponytail?!?! Great bangs and great length?!?! Vaggie teach me your wayssss. I always liked her bow and a lot of her outfits. Most of them are sexy without trying too hard. I don't think I can even pick a favorite but I'd probably go with final battle outfit and also her angel gown because that is just too cute lol. 💅🏼

#3 Alastor | As soon as Alastor popped up on scene he was fucking slaying. Literally definition of "pink is cute but red is sexy". He got those sharp ass acrylics ON and his coat is fabulousy spooky lmfao. He also went from being bed bug red to....even more red and sharper (because that was some how possible) lol. Red and black is always an amazing combo and his deer-like appearance is kinda appealing even tho it's a demon lol. I'd venture to even say he's probably one of the most fashionable Overlord's. He's just eye catching and has that AURA. Maybe it's because he's an ancient relic with very peculiar cLaSs but it's really working for him. Keep going you psycho I will see you in hell lmao. #2 Angel Dust | FUCKING KING SHIT. He just serves every time without fail. He has a whole wardrobe and they all fucking bang. The clothes are sexy, the makeup is sexy, the AURA is sexy. Neon Frights review:

Okay so Neon Frights aka the most anticipated Skulltimate Secrets line up and I finally have them all, so what do I honestly think of them? overall I would give this Skulltimate line a 7 out of 10. I loved this line a lot and it's personally my favorite of the 3 that have released but there are a few glaring issues that bring it down for me as a whole.  Anyway let's get into it!

The positives:

▪ The SHOES omg I love them so much I love how some of the pairs are comparable to Demonias which feels like a callback to MH's more alt fashion staples while keeping G3's new choice of styling of bold colors intact 

▪The pet themed hoodies were so adorable I love the mesh sleeves on them especially my only issue though is I wish they were more detailed and they were easier to get over the ghouls heads

▪Loved the bold designed pleather skirts all of them looked cool

▪Love the overall bold color schemes on the dolls and their lockers were even masterfully done

▪All of the character jewelry and accessories were super cute and showed off the element of each characters personalities super well

▪The makeup looks were soo fierce and cunty they added so much to the entire line

The negatives:

▪The poly hair every ghoul is cursed with in this line. I loved the bold cuts and colors but oh my gosh the hair quality is HORRIBLE. This line is $30 dollars there is no reason a doll worth that much should have worse hair quality than the MH budget dolls.

▪I'm more neutral on this but I personally did not like the harness gimmick they were very cute on Frankie and Draculaura but over all they don't match or really add anything to this line? idk I would have scrapped that for a different accessory.

▪Absolutely hated the two tone pleather shorts. They were totally boring and lifeless compared to the rest of the boldness of the line and doesn't really read as a relaxing considering how stiff they are on the dolls. I think if they were fabric and more styled they may have been cuter.

▪Another reoccurring issue I don't like about Skulltimate Secrets is how they managed to make the earrings all hang sticking out to the sides so awkwardly when the other dolls don't have the earrings set in like this.

Doll rating:

Twyla: ☆☆☆☆ I thought this doll was gorgeous from the dark makeup to her entire outfits and accessories the only thing I despised about the doll was the horrid dry poly hair quality it fell out and broke so badly everytime I brushed it to the point I am considering commissioning a reroot it bothers me that much :/

Ghoulia:☆☆☆☆ I just loved the gamer girl aesthetic they went with for Ghoulia and the shade of green on all of her accessories and clothes though her pixel glasses were bent from how they packaged her and so they wouldn't stay on and also I hated the two tone shorts and blue harness that didn't match.

Toralei: ☆☆☆ I loved her bold makeup and short hair and most of her clothes however I don't think they balanced her colors very good it was just too much orange and I didn't like how her tail was removable instead of having the clothes have the hole for it.

Frankie: ☆☆☆☆☆ I think Frankie knocked this line out of the park the bold colors suits their character so well and they did not disappoint! I love the hot pink color pop on the side shave and eyebrow piercing it stands out so well with all of the other colors. I am inlove from head to toe Frankie pops out being totally in their element :)

Draculaura: ☆☆☆ I was probably most disappointed with Draculaura honestly I think they half heartedly slapped a doll together of her to be included in just because she is a fan favorite and big seller (especially true since she is in every SS line up even the upcoming Ballerina one). I loved her shoes, the pink bat top, and the black skirt with yellow straps but aside from that the design falls kinda flat. I think with the reintroduction of yellow in her color pallet giving her full neon pink hair would have been better suited.

To sum it up I think this line is still one of the best G3 has come up with but as a whole I wish they would do away with polypropylene and put more effort in the clothing pieces for $30 dollars it feels a little disappointing when you pay a lot for a doll and aren't satisfied with the obvious cheap quality.

❤️ i learned mainly by scrolling on pinterest, noticing cool stylistic choices in random artworks and squirreling them away in my brain for when i’ll try them out later in my own scribbles 🍎 (⃔๑⃙⃘◡̈๑⃙⃘)⃕↝ a good example of this is when i noticed these magazine covers had murderously cool use of texture and pattern, but i couldn’t figure out how to replicate it digitally so after some loooong pondering i arrived at using origami patterns for clothing/hair! i’ve only just begun doing this so i still have to experiment some more 🤔🧨💥

(if anybody wants im totally down to messaging them the origami patterns i’ve downloaded so far!!)

🧡 i also learned how to draw boys by first drawing girls over n over, then eradicating gender constraints in my brain by drawing my boys like girls. nice. a lot easier this way! idk when i first started drawing boys i would be sooo worried about realism and scared of making them too feminine by giving them waists or thigh gaps or small shoulders—stupid small stuff that kept my boys looking stiff and rigid—but now i Don’t Care and i couldn’t be happier!! ୧⃛(๑⃙⃘◡̈๑⃙⃘)୨⃛* ੈ✩‧₊˚* ੈ✩‧₊

💛 hands! i give up on making them realistic. i usually don’t even bother with knuckles… when i draw hands, the fingers are a combination of a hard angle + and curve, then the fingernails are just black triangles heh

@klanced Ok I only have 30 minutes but this is what I was able to come up with in the parking lot before my shift 😭 If this is about who is habitually more cunty, the answer is Coran, but if it’s about levels of cunt served when it’s dished out, I think it has to be allura….. right? so I thought a bullfighting look for nick would be really fun a) because just structurally I was trying to approach this from a "don't draw nicky with his tiddies or stomach out challenge level impossible" direction, trying to avoid the usual silhouettes I default to with him and his fancy clothes, b) bc it's spanish which is very toreador in and of itself, and c) it represents a tradition often gilded and romanticized that many people view as being barbaric and inhumane, which is how nick often feels as a toreador himself!!! the jacket itself is representative of this too, literally roses being delicately held together only with a thin string of pearls and translucent fabric, like the facade of grace and romanticism trying to hide the monstrous truth of being kindred is only barely holding itself together in nick's eyes

gia's was hard bc I was having a hard time picturing her in any kind of florals or traditional "opulence" while still maintaining Her Vibe so I went with "decaying" leather instead, which also was a fun dark wink to both her forensic science background and also her previous stint as a hunter (also..... lesbian. gotta have the shoulders and the underboob out. them's the rules)

whether or not cameron understands the context of the theme and is deliberately going full in-your-face luxury as a message to how much he doesn't care about poor people in an angry mob OR if he just wanted to be sparkly and pretty and ignored the context of the theme completely is up in the air bc it's honestly extremely funny either way. but also I liked the idea of him coming in with something BIG and EXTRAVAGANT and EYE-CATCHING but still chic and cunty and very pop-star bc regardless of the theme EVERYONE is going to be looking at HIM and that is a THREAT. giant statement hand-constructed (he paid for the physical therapy of the hands that constructed it, it's fine) flower coat with a bare midriff and pink leather pants. also visually wanted it to connect to midsommar a little bc I thought using a visual from a frankly haunting horror film as a ~slay~ was very up his alley. - I became more invested in this episode the further it went, I ended up liking it a lot!

What are your theories on Uraume and their relationships/background with Sukuna and Kenjaku?

Hmm, there are a lot and not all of them entirely coherent, but I'll try. The reveal of their Heian appearance changed a lot of my theories and so did the correction in Vol 23 that the meeting with the country leaders happened in September and not February. I guess that makes more sense with the video footage, but 2 months to meet with various presidents, sell them the existence of sorcerers and then convince them to invade Japan seems a bit short. I assume Kenjaku had already contact with some of those people, since those officials from China invited them and Cyrus Vail seems to have known Kenjaku too, but still a tight schedule for such a major event. In regards to Uraume that kinda overthrows my theory that they were already around and with Kenjaku before the curse family showed up. Well, it doesn't cancel it out, but it's also not proof anymore.

Uraume isn't a reincarnated sorcerer intended to take part in the Culling Game (not their main purpose anyway even if they eventually join), they are tied to Sukuna and his resurrection, so I wouldn't be too surprised if they were already around when Kenjaku created his vessel/Yuuji. Or even if they don't go back that far, I think they would already be around shortly before Yuuji eats the first finger to witness Sukuna's resurgence from the beginning. Even if they have already been around for a year or more, I think they did not have as much close contact with Kenjaku as right now or they would already be much more exasperated with them when we first meet them (tbf their really cunty attitude only shows up when Kenjaku is interrupting their quality Sukuna time). I'm not entirely sure if Uraume made a binding vow with Kenjaku and got turned into a cursed object like Sukuna or if they found some other method like ice to bring them through the ages. For now I'm assuming it was a binding vow with Kenjaku, but I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't the case.

Now as for their Heian appearance, we got confirmation that they weren't always a monk/nun. They might have started wearing those robes shortly before Sukuna's death, since the clothes Sukuna's mummy wears and Uraume's in current times are from the same buddhist school. However, it could also be that Tengen gave Sukuna those clothes post-mortem, which also suggest some kind of involvement of Uraume in that process. The other thing is the shaved hair and lack of pink splotch on the back of their head. I've seen some say that they gained that mark as a reference to their death, but I think they had it before and just shaved it off for some reason. Their name references plums and it would be strange if there was nothing about their appearance that suggested a connection. Their eyes I guess, but that doesn't seem that obvious to me. So if they had that spot from the beginning, it must symbolize something they initially rejected, but then embraced before their death or afterwards. It can't just be Sukuna, it must be something else. Could reference a change in their relationship, but I'm not sure.

I also often see the theory that Uraume was a servant (to Sugawara no Michizane for example) and was freed by Sukuna. I don't agree with that. Aside from Sukuna, they don't act subservient to anyone, quite the opposite. They are very prideful and look down on almost everyone around them. To gain their respect, you have to be powerful/useful and have a personal connection to them. Personal connection because they absolutely hate Gojo despite him being very powerful. They don't just bow down to anyone. If Kenjaku wasn't useful to reuniting them with Sukuna and keeping Sukuna alive and if Kenjaku themselves wasn't so annoyingly competend, they couldn't give two fucks about them.

Uraume doesn't give off the impression of someone used to living in servitude. If so, then only to one particular person and not the people around them. They might have served Sugawara at some point, since he was also a powerful sorcerer, but then they must be quite a bit older than Sukuna, since Sugawara lived until 903 and I assume Sukuna was born after the year 1000. I think Sukuna and Uraume are around the same age though. So unless Uraume hung out with the vengeful spirit Sugawara no Michizane (not entirely impossible) I don't think this works out. I'm entirely open to changing my mind though when Gege finally gives us more details about when what happened. The Heian era was quite long and "1000 years" is also very vague...

As for how Sukuna and Uraume met, I think it wasn't just Uraume begging to follow him because he's powerful, there must be something more personal there because Sukuna almost sees them as equal and allowed only them to stay with him. That's unusually trusting of him. They have a skill he needs but that can't be all, since Sukuna sees them as more than a necessity or tool. I also wouldn't be surprised if it was Sukuna who approached them first, drawn to them by the delicious smell of cooked human meat.

As for Kenjaku, I think they also only got to know them when they approached Sukuna about the binding vow. Kenjaku likely had to go through Uraume first before they were even allowed to talk to Sukuna. While Uraume might find their personality a bit grating at times, it is clear that they know what they're doing and are far more experienced than Sukuna and Uraume combined, so unfortunately associating with them is unavoidable, even if they have to take Kenjaku talking a lot of shit about both of them in the process.

I think those were all my thoughts about Uraume and their past/relationships. Since we don't know a lot about the Heian people yet it's all very tentative, but that makes me even more excited for when we finally find out more.

okay this has been bothering me for a long while now, so time to go on a rant about it:

i absolutely adore the artists who have drawn artemis in recent works, anyone who knows and follows me knows i absolutely adore their art. but as a fashion designer, what i absolutely cannot stand is the fashion - or more, the serious lack of it. you want me to believe an amazon, who literally dresses up like a goddess in bana, goes to man's world and chooses to go around in a plain white t-shirt and leggings? not even an earring or bracelet on sight? from a character that fought in huge hoop earrings back in the 90's (ik i'm the n° 1 hater of deodato's over sexualized requiem suit but it was cunty design wise)

i really like rhato, but in the same comic book we have her go from dressing like this:

to literally dressing like this on the daily:

it makes no sense, no one can convince me she would dress like a gym rat on the daily. of course, she's not going to wear cute bows and frilly dresses (that's more my department lol), but to me, this lacks complete personality and kind of alienates her character from her costumed version, at least to me. i'm not talking about her costumes, they're great, top tier even, both rebirth and different versions of requiem, only her day-to-day outfits. although the examples i gave here are from rhato, this issue also extends to the webtoon comic. i know it's hard for artists with timelines and so many details on backgrounds and other stuff, so it's easier to keep it simple, but there are ways to keep some character around. it's all in the details, enter example #1:

see how artemis is dressed in just a white tank top and a pair of jeans, and yet it gives more style than all the others? the belt, the necklace, even the bracelets. small yet simple details that can make the outfit. styling works wonders. now, enter example #2:

now, i absolutely LOOOVE this look. simple but effective. very elegant, very stylish, and very on trend, yet still artemis. i know, we also got the amazing date night look in rhato, with the little black dress, which was absolutely stunning too, along with the black suit a few issues later, but even that was one in a million, as we never got to see her in anything like that again (except at the very end of rhato, where she goes to the iceberg lounge with jason, but even that was a plain version of the date dress with her hair up in a ponytail and minus the earrings). of course, i don't expect characters to be all dressed up when they're at home, we real humans don't either, but with artemis' characters, it's anytime she's out of costume it seems.

now enter some examples of artemis' clothing in other appearances as a mere amazon, in bana-mighdall. certainty, a woman that dresses and fights like this everyday doesn't trade it all in man's world (where fashion is literally unlimited) for a mere piece of fabric. she has an ariana grande ponytail for style purposes only, for god's sake! if that doesn't say anything, i don't know what will. she doesn't blend in, she never will, and every amazon knows it, so own it. stand out from the crowd!

there are many more examples, but sadly i cannot add more images. even the dcamu was able to capture this well. hell, in wonder woman (2009), while every other amazon has some sort of feather on their helmets, artemis has a hole for her ponytail. i think it speaks for itself at this point.

honestly, i think the title of outlaw is what played a great role in this loss of personal style. sure, she doesn't have diana's colorful morals, she's operating in gotham city now, she's ruthless and stands more in a gray area, along with her teammates, and i think that's what's holding artists back from giving her a bolder style. femininity isn't just pink and cute things, it comes in a very wide range of ways. even wearing pants and wielding an obnoxiously huge axe, artemis can still be feminine (throwback to the tantrum some dumbass threw back when the webtoon came out because artemis had a slight nude eyeshadow and "she wasn't feminine to wear it"). there's a lot you can do, and i feel like people are stuck on a limbo of "if i put her in a frilly dress it doesn't match the character, so basic is our only other option". again, there's nothing wrong with sportswear or basic, but it doesn't seem to match artemis.

although this specific rant is about artemis, i feel like the decline of fashion in comics is an overall issue across many - if not all - characters in recent years. the charm from the 80's and 90's is no longer there. i get it, on one side, costumes have also become more detailed as years went on (some good and some bad, but that has been a rollercoaster ever since day one of comic books), but the spark of regular day-to-day outfits has been long lost.

this said, they could hire someone from fashion to create lookbook reports for characters on different occasions, kinda like artists already do for their hero costumes (dc comics hire me). just kidding, but if they decide it is actually a good idea, i'm not kidding anymore lmao.

(anyways, in all of these fashion crimes, the fashion police aka me has created a secret pinterest board with some vibes of what i imagine artemis would wear on different occasions, and although i have lost my ability to draw actual art, i very much can still draw fashion illustrations. so, i will draw a lookbook for her myself, for different occasions, the way i imagine artemis style could be, even as an outlaw)

What are your thoughts on the Rainbow Vision dolls? (There's like three different bands in it)

I don’t know why but Dollect separates Shadow high from Rainbow high completely but it does so the Rainbow Divas and Royal Three will be first, then Neon Shadow.

Royal Three: Tiara Song!

I don’t entirely love her base outfit. It’s again, the fault of RH’s super short torso’s but her bodysuit and skirt look awkward. Her cropped jacket is cute though. Lover her boots, mic, nails and tiara though, all fire.

Her second outfit is so fucking Kpop I love it.

That half blazer, turtleneck bodysuit and skirt combo feels like irl kpop girlies have worn it and it’s perfect. The only thing I’d change is, once again, make them short boots. Both because I’d like them better and because it’s more actuate to kpop girls shoes. They’re rarely ever performing strappy heels like this.

Her third outfit feels like a personal style one, so it’s pretty simple and nice, and the strappy heels work!

Royal Three: Tessa park!

Love her stage outfit. She looks a lot like K/DA Akali (both the Popstars and All Out eras)

I love her leather half pants (especially with the print down the side), long sock, sneakers and crop shirt, sunglasses and mic but the real show? RACING 👏 JACKET 👏 ITS SO COOL I also seriously love her sneakers they’re soooo good.

Her second outfit, I’d like much more if it didn’t have. The weird thing on it. I have no idea what that is. But I love the pants with the underwear band showing and the short, sports bra like top. The strappy heels don’t look bad but I’d probably keep her sneakers on for that. Her third outfit is mostly the same, but the top is swapped for a plane tshirt and I like it!

Royal three: Minnie Choi

CUTE. GOD. My favorite stage outfit by far.

Her pearl top and jacket and zip pleated skirt are SO cute topped with those BOOTS I love it here. I especially love the paneling of the boots, kinda draws back up to the skirt. I also really, really love her heart mic.

Her second outfit I like…a bit less. Because it feels like the black and pearl accenting gets a little too busy for the doll scale. If it was full size I think it would be just fine.

Third out is why I think it’s that. Cuz pair that skirt with a normal tshirt and it’s just fine, the skirt is really cute actually.

I do have one question: If you’re gonna make molded socks AND shoes. Why not just make them boots then? My only gripe for her anyways let’s go!

I love her stage outfit, this huge hoodie and shorts that almost touch her socks that are only a little longer than her knee high lace up shoes. I love her like greeen sleeves and the chunky Japanese characters on her hoodie. I love her barbed wire cat ears too.

(Fun fact I used to have converse that tall and I LOVED THEM. I grew out of them and I’d kill to have them again but they’re super expensive now)

Second outfit is fire. The printed top, white and green jacket and the almost…cargo color jeans with the cat heads on it? It’s very hot topic and I love that for her. Her steel toe high tops are amazing and I love all the studs.

Neon Shadow: Uma Vamhoose!

She looks good! The blues and purples work pretty well together, mostly with her hair. I like the sequin top and net one underneath. The spit pants are cool but I do wish the actual pattern was the same on both legs. Like that is…the same pattern. Heels are cool, I like the hat.

Second outfit is hella cute! Cute tshirt, cool trench coat with the leather-y sleeves and the rhinestones on them. Skirt is really cute, the purple and blue are really nice. Love the shoes.

Neon Shadow: Mara Pinkette!

Firstly, I think Mara’s skin wasn’t a great choice color wise. Because everything but her eyes washes her out really badly.

Love the like…Disney hat-but-cat hat she has on? Then the pink crimps are nice, her short sleeve jean jacket rocks and I love her t-shirt dress and the sock type-boots. Her outfit is great honestly it’s just her skintone.

Next up, I love this outfit! Dress is cute as hell, studded boots with pink soles and the jacket is super cute.

The band is distinctly very hot topic and I love that for them

Ok I've been waiting and hoping that they localize the Blue Reflection mobile game so in the meantime I wanna go ahead make the post I mentioned, talking about the new reflectors and their transformation designs. I'm gonna go left to right and have their uniforms and reflector forms side by side.

Shiho Kasuga. She uses a katana. She's not really new, she's in the sequel which I have yet to play and I've mentioned her reflector form before, but I wanna go in depth a bit. The belts are very Square Enix and that's not an insult. The chains are cool, the skirt and the white part of her shirt are nice, and the ribbons in her hair are very pretty. The biggest issue is the way her shirt slides off her shoulder, most of her titty is out and you can see another belt covering part of it. Why? Like you could have just had her shoulder out if you wanted to give a bit of flare to her design. And if that wasn't bad enough, I was playing the demo for the sequel and she jumps to attack and you can see all up in your face, she's wearing nothing but belts under the skirt. Like...she's a teenager.

Yukiko Takaoka. She uses magical orb drones and it fits the mythical fae look. But again the chest is a major issue. If they pulled up the top, this would have been my favorite new design. The top itself is so cute (I love baggy sleeves) and the blue of it all is so nice, I love the accessories, the antlers look so good with her hair and eyes, and the bunny companion is adorable. Literally just pull the shirt up. Also personally I don't like the idea that transforming means you don't have any disabilities like why isn't she wearing her glasses? I had that with Hinako in the first game, but after replaying I noticed Hina said she feels light as air so I assumed that meant she didn't need to worry about pressure being put on her injured leg. I hope it's that and I hope Yukiko just takes her glasses off so she won't break them.

Nanaka Azumi. Love this outfit. The shoulders and the sleeves! Love fluttery clothes! The purple is cool and looks great with the pink in her hair. This is like a pretty villain lol. Her wolf companions and the wolf ear hair accessories really bring the look together. She uses brass knuckles which is odd with her design, but hey she beats ass lol.

Meiqi Xiao. The protagonist. This dress is gorgeous, but again these are teenagers. If this was on a grown woman, she would be so cunty. Her hair and the flower in it looks very pretty. She's giving me another villain look especially with the horned demon skeleton companion. She uses a sword which is pretty standard for protagonists of this series.

Yu Alesia Morisaki. Her design is very angelic but still fits the post apocalyptic setting. I don't have a lot to say about her. It's nice and the wings they gave her are cool and unique, they didn't just slap feathered wings on her. She uses a spear and that gives her a valkerie feel and I like that as well.

Kanna Hoshiya. CAT GIRL CAT GIRL LMAO. But for real, only minor issue is the titty window. Other than that, LOVE this design! I didn't mention how their school uniforms are incorporated into their transformations because right here is where it really shines! The red plaid looks SO cool against the black armor parts. The cat ears and the tail look sharp and badass. She also uses her fists to fight and that works incredibly well with the claws on her gauntlets. She also does a windmill punch and she's incredibly energetic which fits her cat design, it's great. She might be my second fave.

Ayami Ikoma. She's my absolute fave! She looks like she could be in TWICE. First off, hate the chest. I get it's supposed to be cut to resemble butterfly wings but you can do that in any other way, also stop showing teenage girls' chests. But anyway the butterfly theme is beautiful! I love the sleeves on her top, the skirt is so so pretty, the butterfly accessories are cute, the way her hair looks and the multicolored eyes are so ethereal, and THE WINGS.....GIRL! I even like her school uniform. The blazer is nice. She uses a spear as well and I think it fits the fairy look overall.

Kirara Kuno. Honestly this is the worst design. She's in the sequel but as far as I know she doesn't transform at all in it. I thought she was gonna be the Chibi Moon of the group with how she looks younger than everyone else. Her design is the creepiest because of how much younger she looks. Truthfully if they button her shirt up, it'd look perfectly fine....but they didn't so... but since I gave positives to everyone else, I'll give a few here. I love the dragon theme and the various shades of green. The dragons with her look really cool and I like that they coil into looking like wings. The dragon scale armor on her arms and legs are nice. I like the shade of green in her hair, her pink eyes, and the pink ribbon accessory is cute. And again if it wasn't for her exposed chest, the overall outfit would be very cool, but it sadly ruins it entirely. It's weird. Her weapons are the orb drones and I think she should switch with Nanaka. Fists would fit better.
