📽️ The Pick-up Artist (1987)

Movies in the ‘80s were weird… this one is about a guy who thinks he’s better with the ladies than he actually is. He meets this girl and then straight-up stalks her. But it’s okay because he’s cute? So then he finds out she’s in trouble with the mafia, but that’s okay, too, because SHE’S cute. Just as they should, they get together in the end, but they walk off with their arms around each other, looking more like good buddies than lovers. All in all, it didn’t seem like there was a whole lot of chemistry between the two main characters. The whole thing was so convoluted it was barely enjoyable. I think, to actually enjoy watching this movie, you’d have to suspend ALL disbelief.

Sex/nudity: 3/10 (making out, some sexual dialogue, off-screen sex with some noises)

Language: 3/10 (no f-words, normal level of 80s cursing)

Violence: 3/10 (some punching, violent threats)

Overall rating: 3/10

In my heart, Ford once went to an ice dimension and got Really Good at ice skating, and now he's absolutely insufferable about it.

#I think Ford has a bunch of random skills & everytime one comes up he has the most ridiculous yet completely true story to go along with it #in this case it involves picking a lock with his skates while scaled half way up a glacier. (he needed something for the gun dw about it)#I also think Stan would also be good re the 'Stan's Roller Skating in short shorts' lines from Dreamscapers #The difference being that Stan isn't willing to risk breaking his back for it. Unlike Ford who is already mid backflip #I know what ice skates actually look like btw. I know the blade is inaccurate. I promise.
