Rain with instead of fish features, he has amphibian features. Tadpole-like tail, extra inner eyelid, webbing between his fingies. Instead of blue he is more a greenish tint to blend in with the more algae rich water and the aquatic plant life of the Appalachian lakes
He has a soft melodic Appalachian accent and the rumors about him have been slowly spreading amongst hiker communities. He's not quite got cryptid status but he's becoming a bit of a local legend.
Because he's not any kind of notoriously sought after cryptid, hikers aren't warned not hike the trail that goes by Rain's lake.
Oh well, hikers go missing sometimes, right? Probably went and poked at a bear, right? Cause there isn't anything weird in these woods...
Say what you want about the Bruce is Terry’s biological dad reveal in Epilogue, but that episode absolutely FUCKS otherwise. The scene with Bruce and Ace? The Andrea Beaumont cameo? The ending parelling the beginning of On Leather Wings? Come on dude.
Batman: The Animated Series - Paper Cut-Out Portraits and Profiles
Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm
December 25th, 1993; exactly thirty years ago today, Warner Animation released the first Batman animated feature to play in theaters. Directed by Eric Radomski and Bruce Timm, and based on a story written by Alan Burnett, the movie hit screens between the first and second seasons of Batman: The Animated Series.
Despite largely glowing reviews, the lack of a strong advertising campaign contributed to the movie doing quite poorly at the box office. The feature was later released in home theater format and played on television, ultimately garnering it huge acclaim among the fan community… with many (myself included) considering it to be the very best of the various Batman movies.
The story centers on a mysterious vigilant who has come to Gotham to hunt the members of a once prominent crime family. At first, the deaths of these criminals are attributed to The Batman, leading to the Gotham Police Department to deploy a special task force to arrest the Caped Crusader. As such, Batman is forced to evade the police whilst tracking down this mysterious new threat. Discovering the secrets of the Phantasm harkens back to Bruce Wayne's earliest days as a crimefighter, and a great love that nearly led to his never becoming Batman in the first place.
Romance, tragedy, terrific action and top notch animation, it is not to be missed. Staring the voice acting of Kevin Conroy, Dana Delany, Mark Hamill, Efrem Zimbalist Jr., Abe Vigoda and Stacy Keach.
The first piece of DC media I will cover is an Animated Movie. This one!
Batman Mask of the Phantasm is the greatest I've ever watched. This is like peak Batman. Though it feature this amazing antagonist, the angel of death himself (herself)
Promises, romance, tragedy, and vengeance, all took part here. And it's also graphic with a few death scenes and scary moments. Yikes Joker is actually scary here!
I’d doubt I’ll see all that type of stuff in The New Batman Adventures from the looks of it.
Beautiful and emotional 25 minute documentary on Kevin Conroy and his career voicing Bruce Wayne/Batman throughout various media. He's my definitive Batman, the Batman I hear when I read the comics, the Batman I see when I sketch, the Batman I will always be a fan of. We miss you Kevin.
