SPOILERS!!!!!!! Unorganized Teen Wolf movie review basically

I actually... really liked it??? Like it's not that good but I enjoyed watching it! A lot of parts were genuinely funny and the plot was like passable! (Quite a few unanswered questions tho)

There were some things I found confusing or weird, like idk wtf Harris had against the pack (his reveal was funny af tho) and a few other things, but they were mostly just because of the lack of Stiles, Kira, and and Isaac

The Kira 'stand in' girl (I think her name was Hikari??) Was pretty cool, obviously sucks that Kira herself wasn't there but that's a whole different conversation 👀

Honestly, as a huge Stydia shipper I was hoping they wouldn't break them up and just have him like watching their kids or something (I think I saw a funny post of that once) but they way they broke them up? Not actually that bad? Like Lydia left him because she loved him and I was just worried that they wouldn't love each anymore so I'll take what I can get! Tho not expanding on the dreams she was having is a bit of a lost thread, but since it wasn't really apart of the main story, I'll let it slide lol.

I did not like how they just pretended Issac didn't exist, that was pretty fucked up. Like I predicted that Scott and Allison would get back together by the end, but damn rip Isaac for real 😔

Anyways, about Derek's death... Honestly, since I wasn't taking the movie that seriously in the first place, I didn't really feel anything about Derek dying? Like don't get me wrong, I love the man and if they killed him off in the actual show I'd be bawling, but the movie to me is just a silly little suggestion to canon than law. There's real canon, fanon, and the third secret canon that lives inside my brain ☺️

But like, I don't really care that he died in the movie, I was just surprised tbh. Rip king you deserved better 🙏 (I don't understand how he just like, disappeared, after being burnt?? Like maybe I didn't notice it but his body was gone like huh???)

I never liked Scott and Malia together so I'm glad they broke up, but Malia and Parish was weird as hell and was just so random. I think that ever since Malia and Stiles broke up the writers just couldn't figure out what to do with her? Which is a total shame cause Malia is queen. But none of her relationships post stiles make sense or work out so rip (I do love me some stlia on the side ngl)

Jackson was GREAT, funny af and just like how I would imagine the redeemed adult version of the asshole from season 1, 10/10

Lots of missed opportunities for interactions, (like Liam and Mason) but it's only a 2h movie so I get it

I thought both Scott and Allison were great, tho I'm not sure how I feel about her staying alive afterwards. Plus I always shipped Scira more but you know 👀 love that Scott was the same great guy ☺️ when he hugged Chris I literally cried it was so cute 🥺

UNEXPECTED TWIST for me!!! I came into the movie, very lightly shipping Chris and Melissa, and came out of the movie shipping Chris, Melissa, and Peter 😳 I didn't expect that! But they were such a cute trio omg it was amazing

Eli was cute and I don't think that he was that much like stiles, but there obviously similarities

And Jackson and Lydia brotp??? Absolutely!!!

So that's basically it, I'll give this a solid 6/10

PS: saw some people legitimately mad that sterek didn't happen, fuck those people. You are not allowed near my blog...unless you want to send funny hate anon that I can roast

(like one person brought up the whole, sterek was "queerbaiting" thing, which is such bullshit. They literally never fucking liked each other, even platonically. I would say by the end of the show Derek just barely tolerates Stiles. The real queerbaiting was the writers being to scared to confirm that Stiles was Bi because it's ridiculous how many scenes pointed to that, especially in seasons 1-3 smh)

I might take about more later but it's bedtime!!!

Part 1. Part 2

You drove straight to Derek’s, still feeling a little shaken up after what Theo had done. Outside Peters Shelby wasn’t there, you didn’t know if you were happy or sad not to see it. When you got inside to your surprise Peter was there sat reading his book. He’d actually agreed to car pool with you.

Stiles and Liam both cheered as you walk in, Stiles calling you a good luck charm after the win today. How you managed to get coach to listen to your ideas. For the next few hours you all laughed, talked, drank and ate.

It was at this point, Derek being one of the closest to you noticed your neck. “what happened” he said, Peter now in his feet coming over to see. You explain about Theo’s threat and how he tried to strangle you.

“I’m gonna kill the little runt” Peter said heading for the door. You grabbed his arm, stopping him.

“don’t, Stiles’ dad’s took him, Coach is having him expelled and if he’s stupid enough to back at me then you all have my permission to kill him. But for now can we just forget about it” you say to him. Peter clenches his jaw but agrees he’ll leave Theo to sheriff Stilinski for now.

You watch Peter return to his book as Lydia pulls you to one side asking to talk. Stepping away to a more private part of the loft you wait to see what’s wrong. “what’s going on with you and Peter?” she asks outright.

You blush “nothing, what do you mean?” you say coyly. Maybe you needed to tone down your stirring at the handsome wolf.

“I seen him today at the game, his arms around you before fighting with Theo. Are you two dating now?” she asks a little concerned.

Shaking your head no “that was to wind up Theo. Peters version of leave her alone I think, not like it worked” you told her, not really sure why Peter had started on Theo the way he did. “and besides even if I did like Peter, I don’t think he likes me like that”. You say looking down not letting her see the sadness you felt.

“oh, I doubt that. The way he is around you, looks at you. I think Peter likes you, I’ve always thought that especially after you saved him” she says.

You wished it was true but knew differently, you’d kissed him wanted more he told you no. “No, I think Peter just likes the game, I know he wouldn’t want me like that” you say hoping to end the conversation.

Lydia eyes you suspiciously but doesn’t question it. She looks over at Peter who watches y/n out the corner of his eye like he’d always done. She was going to ask him but knew Peter would never tell her the truth.

Peter sat just watching everyone else, what he always did when Scott used the loft for after games celebration. It was only pack members but for Peter it was still way too many.

He glanced over to y/n now she’d finished her chat with Lydia, he was about to gain your attention until Liam got it first asking her to dance. To Peter’s annoyance you agreed, going over to dance with him, Lydia, Stiles and Malia.

Peter growled watching as they young pups hands tried to move down your body. He found himself thinking how dare Liam touch what’s his, even if you wasn’t, its all Peter truly wanted. He hated even more you hadn’t stopped it. That you just moved slightly so he wasn’t touching anymore still laughing and dancing.

For the third time Liam’s hand come inches away from your ass. This time you decide not to move out of his way, nope you decide to see Peter’s reaction. Your eyes lock with his, he’s stirring with a snarl. You wink at him hoping to push him to come over do or say something but he doesn’t. He gets up and walked to his old room. You sigh Peter hadn’t got jealous.

With Peter gone and the song finished you went to find something to drink. Everyone turned seeing the loft door open, Cory walked in scanning the room. Mason was happy to see about to give him a hug but Cory walked past him straight to Scott, his eyes flicking to you.

“Theo’s been arrested and he thinks Peter is up to something. He says Peters an alpha and y/n’s in danger” Cory blurted out. You sigh, it wouldn’t take Theo long to spill Peters secret.

Everyone looks at you, taking one or two breaths trying to keep your heart beat stable. “is this true” Scott asked.

“not as far as I know” you say hoping the wolfs wouldn’t notice the lie. After being with Theo you learned how to control some tell-tale signs of lying. “Theo has been arrested for trying to kill me” you tell Corey showing him your neck. So now he’s using lies, he knows I’m living in Peters and trying to find a way to turn you lot against him. So what ever he’s told you Cory ignore it, I would.” You say hoping the rest believe you.

Derek agrees “y/n right Peter would never hurt her, yes he’d hurt a lot of people but I don’t think he’d do anything to her” he says knowing his uncles not so secret feelings for y/n. Although the Peter being an alpha was something Derek wasn’t sure about, it’s possible but surely he’d know.

Peter walks down the stairs “what have I meant to done now” he smirks. He’s eyes meet yours a small head tilt and smile tells you he’d heard what you said.

“Theo thinks your an alpha” Scott says eyeing up Peter, arms folded, more or less asking the question without words.

“if I was Scott, you’d be dead” Peter jokes knowing they wouldn’t question it more. “anyway I’m ready to head home, y/n shall we your my lift” add. You nod saying your goodbyes.

Once in the car Peter seemed quiet lost in his own thoughts. “thanks” he said eventually.

“what for?” you asked not sure what he was thanking you for.

“keeping my secret. You didn’t have to lie for me but you did so thank you” he said.

You smiled, you had promised you’d keep his secret and did. Even if Theo knew the truth you still wouldn’t rat Peter out. “I keep my promises, I’m a good girl like that” you say.

Peter laughs but doesn’t look up at you. “I’m sorry Theo outed you” you say. Peter just shrugs it wasn’t your fault.

“sorry he tried to strangle you” he said, thinking he was party to blame for pushing Theo. Also making a mental note to kill him next time he saw him. You smile back saying wasn’t his fault.

Back at the penthouse you walk in the door, as soon as it shuts you take your t-shirt off, showing of your sports bra. Dumping the top in the washing basket you say to Peter your getting in the shower. Giving him a full view of your body hoping after today he’d still be in a touchy mood.

Teen Wolf triads are something that can be so personal, so here’s a list of my faves

Scott/Stiles/Allison

The OG trio. The gang that dies together might not stay together, but they’re still iconic.

Scott/Stiles/Lydia

Any Scott/Stiles/X dynamic is brilliant, but few more than this one. These three have been there since the beginning and they’ve gone through so much together. There’s no Teen Wolf without them.

Scott/Stiles/Derek

They were the driving force in S1&2 and had some absolutely iconic moments together. Hate that there wasn’t more of them after that.

Scott/Derek/Isaac

Mostly based on S2/3. I was very invested in Isaac’s struggle to pick between these two.

Scott/Stiles/Isaac

This triad’s dynamic completely changes between S2 and 3. In Season 2, Isaac, as part of Derek’s pack is a slightly antagonistic figure and it’s very much Scott&Stiles vs Isaac but in S3, Scott and Isaac grow closer while Isaac and Stiles erm, don’t. It’s very fun to watch.

Scott/Isaac/Allison

My ot3 and the only trio on this list that I 100% ship.

Isaac/Erica/Boyd

Ayy, it’s the OG Hale Pack aka 3 teens bonding over being thrown headfirst into something they weren’t prepared for and Derek’s horrible leadership. Isaac should’ve ran away with Erica and Boyd for solidarity’s sake.

Chris/Allison/Isaac

Chris’s struggle between hating Isaac for dating his daughter and wanting to adopt him is hilarious. One of my favourites.

Scott/Melissa/Isaac

Who didn’t completely melt at Isaac joining the McCall fam? The scene where they’re ‘guarding’ Melissa was so cute. As a bonus, it made Stiles’s animosity towards Isaac that much stronger. Will forever hate that this trio was more or less non-existent in 3b even though I love Chris/Allison/Isaac.

Derek/Cora/Peter

The non-dead Hales. Why oh why did Cora have to leave? Their family dynamic was great.

Allison/Lydia/Cora

I know they only had a couple scenes as a triad, but there was so potential. We love antagonism with underlying sexual tension. And ofc, the only thing better than 1 terrifying badass that can secretly be super sweet is 3 terrifying badasses.

Derek/Isaac/Boyd

At one point, the only non-dead members of the Hale Pack (TW quickly amended that). I always think of the S3a Loft scene where Boyd and Isaac skip school to protect Derek. Despite how awful of an alpha Derek’s been, they still care about him and he cares about them (as actual people and not just betas that he needs for power like he did originally)

Derek/Allison/Lydia.

Yes it’s my 5th s3 based trio in a row, but can you blame me? This is 100% based off the classroom scene in 3x02.

Allison/Lydia/Jackson

Although Lydia and Jackson were both awful in S1, their friendship with Allison and their immediately taking her under their wing was beyond precious. Additionally, it combines both the asshole-who’s-soft-towards-1-person- dynamic (jydia w/ allison) and assholes-who-secretly-care-about-each-other (jydia) And ofc, the underlying tension due to Jydia’s disdain towards Scott and later, Jackson and Allison’s experiences/knowledge of the supernatural.

Malia/Kira/Lydia

Comedy gold. Their scenes speak for themselves and we needed more.

Liam/Mason/Corey

Their S6a dynamic is sooo underrated and should’ve been given more screen time. I loved watching Liam and Corey struggle to get along for Mason’s sake because they want him to be happy. It was all very wholesome and one of the few things that made 6a worth watching.

Stiles/Scott/Liam

Aka the best part of S4.Their dynamic is so fun and well-balanced and infinitely better because they’re a triad. You’ve got Scott and Liam figuring out their mentor/mentee relationship with Stiles co-parenting and preventing the Scott/Liam dynamic from turning unhealthy. (Liam and Scott’s S6 dynamic veered way too close to parent/child for my taste. They need Stiles to balance it out) It’s also hilarious how quickly Liam accepts being aggressively adopted by two idiots who are barely older than him. And Stiles takes so easily to playing older brother/co-parent. It’s adorable. They’re adorable.

Erica/Allison/Lydia

Very similar dynamic to Allison/Lydia/Cora due to Cora and Erica’s similar personalities but also not, which has a lot to do with Allison and Lydia’s reactions to Erica’s weaponized feminity. Also, there’s a lot more history between these girls and I want to know everything about what Erica thinks of Lydia after going to school with her for years.

Sherriff/Melissa/Chris

Of the top of my head, I can only remember that time where they were trapped under the Nemeton and that’s simply unacceptable.

Sheriff/Noshiko/Melissa.

It’s a crime that this triad never got scenes. Especially after the Sheriff tried to arrest Kira. I know Melissa bitch slapped him but I wanted to watch these two badasses gang up on the Sheriff together. ( the Noshiko/Melissa dynamic would be so iconic.)

Victoria/Noshiko/Melissa

Another triad that never shared scenes (obviously because Vic is dead) but their power would’ve been off the charts. I want to make a joke about milfs, but I’ll refrain.

The Yukimura fam

Seemed appropriate since my last two also included. Noshiko.I love family dynamics and the Yukimuras are no exception. The attraction of this triad, for me, is mostly the dynamic between Kira and Noshiko and how Ken navigates between them. They’re also a trio that we didn’t see nearly enough of in S4 and 5. Like seriously, where were they? Noshiko’s on the dead pool, but she’s barely mentioned. (on a mostly unrelated note, how is the 900 yr old Kitsune worth less than a girl that just found about her kitsune powers?)

Derek/Allison/Scott

I don’t need to explain this one. The angst, the drama, Derek projecting Kate onto Allison and Allison trying to murder Derek and their evolution to reluctant allies with a good dash of Scallison and Scott navigating his own difficult relationship with Derek. Aka the complicated, tension fraught trio we all loved/should love. ( ok, I kind of explained it)

Derek/Scott/Liam

And here we have a two for one deal; two mentor/mentee dynamics in 1 triad. People much smarter than me have written about this trio in extensive detail, so all I’m saying is that Derek’s that one uncle who occasionally comes around and gives somewhat helpful advice.

Braeden/Malia/Scott

Braeden and Scott were great in S4. Braeden and Malia were great in S5. Scott and Malia are pretty great when they’re not in a relationship. Combine, and you get what had to be a kick-ass triad that’s sadly never canonly shown together (I think)

Melissa/Chris/Isaac

Not actually featured in the show, but Isaac deserves all the parental figures and I want to witness the surely epic custody battle between Chris and Melissa.

Malia/Scott/Peter

That this trio is on here is actually pretty funny because I hate both Scalia and the forced Peter/Malia bonding in S6. But I loved the scene where Peter warned Malia not to fall in love with Scott because a) he has absolutely 0 right to advise her on anything and b) because of the history between Scott and Peter. In a way, a relationship with Malia is just another thing tying Scott to someone that’s repeatedly caused harm to him and his friends and was the initial cause for all the pain he’s suffered in the last couple years. I just find this dynamic worth exploring.

Malia/Derek/Peter

The Hales 2.0. Derek and Malia deserve to bond over unwillingly being related to Peter, that scumbag.

Malia/Stiles/Peter

Stiles and Peter are so fun together and Stalia is my jam. Throw in an antagonistic Malia and Peter relationship and they’re entertaining as hell. Much more lighthearted than Malia/Scott/Peter.

Stiles/Malia/Lydia

To clarify, this has nothing to do with a love triangle and everything to do with how their personalities play off each other. It’s one of those trios where together, they’re either terrifying or absolute morons.

Stiles/Cora/Derek

Admittedly, my version of this is very Sterek+Cora and the hilarity of Stiles and his attraction to Hales but it’s also 3x snark and you really can’t go wrong.

Scott/Stiles/Melissa

It’s Melissa and her boys 1.0. This woman is by far the best parent on this show, and I love the specific dynamic among these three. Melissa might not always like Stiles, but she cares about him and there’s the mutual understanding that they both adore Scott and would do anything for him. Also, Mel being exasperated by the dumbass duo is always funny.

Kate/Allison/Chris

Lowkey another custody battle because Kate and Chris do fight to be the bigger influence on Allison This is such a tragic trio to me, and the lesson here is basically that sometimes love isn’t enough. Chris and Kate both genuinely love Allison and she loves them too but can’t have both and at some point, she has neither. Kate and Chris care about each other, but that’s not enough either. In the end, they all lose each other. There’s no happy ending for them, at least not with each other.

Derek/Stiles/Peter

Stiles just has chemistry (not necessarily romantic) with all Hales and this trio really shines through in 3x01 and in S3 in general. “Chess is Stiles’s game” asgdhfjgh. I wanted more of that very specific dynamic.

Hi I saw your post about being a Sterek anti which gave me whiplash because I followed you for mcyt opinions but then found the one other Sterek anti. Do you have any other unpopular Teen Wolf opinions that would really upset people?

I love to hate on Teen Wolf of course I have unpopular opinions. This is basically me hating on the Hales and Argents (minus Chris) for being creeps. Don't get me wrong I love the show but these are things that I can't ignore.

Disclaimer this includes topics such as child predators, grooming, abuse, murder and other similar topics. Don't read this If you really like Teen Wolf and is someone who can hate something based on others opinions.

• Sterek is an awful ship. If Stiles was a woman everyone would be calling Derek a pedo. It's weird because season 1-3 Derek was a creep and season 3-6 Stiles was an awful person. Like they switched.

• Ethan and Aiden sounded cool on paper but were a huge fail. Okay so you can combine and grow..... Is that it? Kinda lame for twin Alphas.

• Theo was a better villain than Void Stiles. He managed to successfully split the entire pack apart turning everyone against Scott including making Scott and Stiles fall out. He then made his own pack, killed them off for their powers, got sent to hell, then came back. Void Stiles was Stiles being possessed by a fox spirit and it not being him in control whereas Theo did kill them, he could control who lived or died. What can Void Stiles do? Play chess, pack it up Bella Swan!

• Stiles isn't my favourite character solely because of his comments about Liam's ied and Issac's abuse trauma. Saying that Issac was milking his trauma after he finally was able to open up about it. Constantly going on about Liam's ied and how he was a bomb ready to explode at all times.

• Peter was an awful person, he tricked Derek into turning Paige and that killed her, Derek was now single and traumatized just in time for child predator Kate Argent to groom him then burn his family, Peter survived the fire, killed even more people, died, manipulated Lydia into helping him come back, came back killed more people and repeat that 4 more times.

• Speaking of awful relationships let's not forget Parrish and Lydia. As in the grown adult police officer and the highschool minor.

• Stiles name is Genim and I stand by that.

• People think that Issac would have believed Stiles about Theo and that's just not true. Issac would have been wary of Theo based on his own thoughts but would have trusted that Scott trusted Theo. Don't know where everyone got this Issac and Stiles besties from, we must have been watching two different shows.

• Erica and Boyd were easily top 3 platonic soulmates. Others being Liam and Mason and Scott and Stiles

• Allison was a shitty person. She tried to kill her friends multiple times and got mad at everything and everyone. I genuinely thought she was meant to be bipolar when I was younger because of how she acted.

• Everyone was hypocritical, everyone was fine with Stiles killing Allison and Aiden, Peter for killing a lot of people but not Theo or Jackson eventhough Jackson was also possessed and Theo was manipulated and groomed by the Dread Doctors.

• Kira was stronger than Scott both mentally and physically. Parrish was stronger than Derek and Peter.

• Melissa and Chris were actually a good pairing. I feel like it would be weird for Melissa and John to get together.

• I don't know who Noah Stilinski is. I only know John.

• I prefer Stydia as friends but would pick them over Sterek. However I really liked Stiles with Malia and would have loved Stiles with Cora.

• Scott and Allison were a shit couple. "True love" okay so she broke up with him then immediately got with Issac who was one of Scott's best friends. Then Scott got with both Malia and Kira but still was obsessed with Allison. In my opinion their relationship was good in their eyes because it was their only relationship, no experience. Then Scott always brought her up because he felt guilty about her dying.

• Season 6 was a good season people only don't like it because Dylan wasn't in it.

• Theo was one of the best things to happen to Liam and vice versa. He was one of the only people who didn't either make fun of his ied or use it as an excuse for things. Yes he used it during 6x16 but he knew he'd get his ass handed to him but still did it to help the pack, he wasn't just saying it to insult Liam.

• Mason and Corey were a missed opportunity especially with Mason's knowledge and Corey's powers

• Scott and Liam weren't as close and people want them to be. Scott was always getting mad at Liam and rarely ever worked with him, they never did shit together. "Me and Liam go do this thing" "you guys go and sort this out". The only time he willingly stuck with Liam was when Liam had just bought back Theo and he only stayed with Liam because he thought Theo would try to manipulate him again.

• Lydia being the one to bring Stiles back during the wild Hunt was by far the biggest hate crime. You picked a long time crush over a childhood bestfriend/brother to be the one with the biggest connection to bring him back.

• Scott being a bland character was a good unintentional decision. It gave way for other characters to shine whilst also building multiple storylines. A bad example would be Elena Gilbert, she was bland but was still the main focus which imo was a bad decision.

• People really underestimate Theo and Liam's trust for eachother. They had less than a season of development but managed to be one of the better pairings. Like apart from them working together multiple times, Liam wanting Theo to go to the zoo with him, Theo stopping Liam from killing Nolan and Gabe etc. Theo knew about Liam being beat up at school by Nolan and Gabe before Scott did. Mason and Corey wouldn't have said anything because they didn't trust Theo, the only person who did was Liam. In the sheriff station Theo knew something was upsetting Liam and thought it was Brett and Lori then next episode knew it was Nolan and the Hunters.

• Coach was the best character in the entire show, not Stiles, not Issac, not Lydia, not Derek. What a king. Absolute girlboss. I know Coach would guard my drink with his life, no date rape drugs for me thanks to Coach.

• The show as a whole treated mental health terribly. Theo being manipulated as a child, Issac being abused by his father, Nolan's very severe anxiety and PTSD, Liam's ied, Malia's PTSD etc.

Basically if Teen Wolf had a 7th season and I was involved in writing it I would include the following:

• Puppy Pack including Liam, Theo, Mason, Corey, Hayden and her girlfriend (yes I'd give her a gf), Nolan and Alec just having fun and experiencing life.

• Derek, Peter and Chris working with the police.

• Melissa and Deaton working together along with Liam's step dad on a supernatural section in the hospital.

• Braeden 🥰

• I'd have a fever dream style episode where we get a Void Stiles and Evil Theo (with Tracy and Josh's powers) teamup.

• I'd bring back Kira, Cora and Issac

• I'd have the big threat being a coven of witches which is why they have to bring a lot of people back because it's a whole group of magical beings and Braeden, Kira, Cora and Issac could all bring knowledge that they've found from being in other parts of the world.

• I'd actually use all the cool supernatural powers instead of Scott roaring and flashing his eyes. Lydia's Banshee scream ripple, Parrish's flame on, Corey's invisibility, Theo, Malia and Derek's ability to shift into an actual wolf/coyote, Kira's cool fox powers, Jackson's Kanima vemon etc.

Headcanons: Being stuck in quarantine with your boyfriend Stiles.

Notes: There was no mention in the request of Stiles dating the reader, so I made it that way myself. Hope you don’t mind; also, I’m not sure if these are good or not, I’m not feeling it today.

✥ This poor restless, bored boi

✥ Stiles originally tried to get you, Stiles and Scott to quarantine together

✥ But Scott was like ‘hell nah’, I know you’d drive me crazy

✥ You were not as smart and decided to quarantine with Stiles

✥ Outside of online classes and homework, he was constantly bored, and trying to figure out something to kill time

✥ Luckily you have piles of board-games and computer/online games that you spend a lot of time doing together

✥ Sometimes Scott would join in online and all three of you would play together

✥ When you got tired of games you would go off and do something else

✥ Reading, writing, drawing, watching a show/movie, anything

✥ Not long would pass before Stiles would show up wherever you were, insisting you do something together

✥ Usually what you would suggest didn’t seem to intrigue him, so more often than not you’d just end up lying on the couch with a show or movie on in the background as Stiles played with your hair

✥ You had a designated movie/show night each week when you would order delivery, and set up the living room, watching movies or documentaries that neither of you had seen before

✥ One movie night, you decided to turn part of the living room into a large pillow fort. And since you weren’t expecting guests anytime soon, you just left it up

✥ Every day, you insisted on going on a social distancing walk down the street, in the forest, or in a nearby park

✥ Stiles would always complain about it

✥ But of course he would always go with you, because he was very bored, and he was afraid that even though most people were quarantined, some of the big-bad monsters might not be.

✥ Besides walks, you tried your best to exercise at home

✥ You would set up a work out, using some youtube video or phone app, and Stiles would follow along, though, lazily

✥ And about 15 minutes in, one of three things would happen

✥ 1) He would start groaning and complaining until you told him to leave, or gave up entirely

✥ 2) He would disappear, coming back a few minutes later with some form of food, usually ice cream or something; trying to coax you into giving up and lying with him on the couch to cuddle; 3 out of 5 times you gave in

✥ or 3) He would start messing with you; slapping your butt whenever you bent down, lying under your face during push ups, making you kiss him each time, or trying to trip you up, etc.

✥ Sometimes you’d get so annoyed you give in and attack him with nearby pillows, or you’d jump at him and start poking his sides

✥ It always ended up with you two laughing or playfully bickering at each other

✥ The two of you also got creative with cooking, trying new recipes every day

✥ Stiles wasn’t the best at cooking, but he tried his best

✥ Sometimes you would wake up in the morning, without Stiles next to you in bed, which was unusual

✥ You’d find him in the kitchen making the biggest breakfast you’ve ever seen

✥ “Stiles?”

✥ He’d turn around, a goofy smile on his face as he looks at you “Morning!”

✥ You couldn’t help but smile at his expression “Morning. Uh, are you expecting guests or something?”

✥ “Huh? Of course not” he’d frown, confused.

✥ “Then why are you making so much food?” you’d laugh as you looked at the large stack of waffles, bacon and eggs.

✥ He would look down at all the food, and expression that showed he just realized he may have gone overboard

✥ “I’m really hungry?”

✥ You’d have breakfast for lunch and dinner as well that day

✥ The two of you often ended each day the same way

✥ Lying on the couch or your bed, you either with your head on his shoulder, or him curled up beside you, arm wrapped around you, both of you scrolling on your phones until late at night

✥ You’d take turns showing each other stupid memes or tik toks

✥ Every once in a while you’d try to recreate a tik tok

✥ You wouldn’t post it, but instead send them to the packs group chat

✥ Sometimes one of the others would reply with their version of it

✥ Usually it was Scott, Liam or Mason that would join in

✥ The others would just reply with “omg stop”, “I hate both of you” or various emojis expressing their disappointment

✥ You would also steal pranks from tik tok, pulling them on each other throughout the week

✥ This made the group chat very lively, the others all waiting for the next video, with various bets as to who would win the war

✥ The pranks were always harmless and funny, both of you knew what lines to never cross with each other

✥ Not to say things didn’t get messy sometimes, literally

✥ Needless to say

✥ Quarantine with Stiles was hardly boring

I have a feeling your ask box and I are going to be familiar. You might be hot-taked out after that killer Satomi discourse. But whenever you’ve got it in you, I’d sure love to hear what you think about Kira and her Jeff-deemed-absolutely-necessary departure.

Oh, definitely. And I do love content, so...

Kira Yukimura was done so dirty by the writers and Jeffrey “I’m not racist I’ll prove it by arguing to poc calling me out for it on twitter” Davis. Her treatment was racist, tokenizing, and it wasn’t even high-brow racism. It was sloppy and lazy. If you’re gonna write all your characters of color off the show, commit to it. She went to the desert like 5 times before she stayed. Cowards.

Kira was only meant to be on the show for the Nogitsune storyline in 3b. However, fans liked her so much that, as with Theo in season 6, she was brought back for more episodes. The difference is that Cody Christian is white-passing and male and Arden Cho is not. Female characters don’t exist on Teen Wolf without a relationship to a male character. Hayden existed for Liam. Tracy existed for Theo. Melissa existed for Scott and Argent. Allison existed for Scott. Lydia, the female character with the most screentime of all of them, spent a lot of her time existing in relationship to Jackson, Stiles, Parrish (shudder), and other male main characters. Women on the show were reduced to love interests and mothers more often than not, and Kira was the same.

I loved her character. I loved her arc. I loved Arden Cho, who in real life is as sweet and kind as her character. I enjoyed her parents, both Noshiko, who’s surprisingly funny and a total badass, and Ken, who’s the most wholesome man in the universe. The only straight man we stan. I love him.

Anyways, Kira was getting a fun arc outside of being Scott’s girlfriend, with her parents and her powers and all, and then wham, white-passing boy shows up and no more main character status for Kira. Guess there wasn’t enough room to keep the only interesting plot line of all the ones happening in s5. Personally, I would have chosen Kira over the Marrish garbage fire of underage relationships, but that’s just me.

Then. The Skinwalkers. I could write a whole essay about them, but this is a Kira post, so I’ll limit it to her. At least Luther got sent to the moon for a reason. Kira got sent to the desert for “rEaSoNs”. There was no indication that her power was out of control, but every indication it wasn’t. She was growing and learning. Then, suddenly, she was “too powerful” so she had to go to the desert and disappear for a few episodes and then go back and forth for a while before they wrapped up sending Theo to the upside down or wherever he went and she could finally go... hang out with the people who we were told could help her control her power but who only threw spears at her and gave her a season finale ex machina. Then back to the desert with you!

You can tell something was going on backstage in her treatment. Arden Cho wasn’t informed she was being cut, she had to be told by fans. Her departure was carried out as swiftly as possible, and not for any real reason. Kira would have been tremendously helpful against the hunters and in a lot of later scenes, against the Ghost Riders (and let me remind everyone that KIRA WAS THE ONE WHO TOLD LYDIA ABOUT THE WILD HUNT), against pretty much anything. Immune to electrocution? Don’t help with the hunters who love electrocuting people. Sloppy writing through and through.

And what’s more is that Kira was cut just in time for the Scalia thing, which was so fucking rushed oh my GOD nothing has ever been less natural- this is a Kira post, calm down capsicle. Anyways, Kira got replaced as Scott’s love interest and not much else by a white girl, no hate on Malia or Shelley but much on the writers. I loved Malia and Kira’s friendship, and if anyone should have gotten with Malia, it should have been Kira. (The first time I saw Malia I wondered if we were getting another ambiguously brown character, actually, but no, just Georgian and well-tanned. But I bet not all my followers knew Tracy was played by a Chinese and Cherokee actor. Or that Nolan was played by a Mexican and Caxcan actor. Or that Theo was played by a Penobscot Native actor. The list goes on of white-passing POC who got to stay marginally longer than Black or brown characters.) The “Scott ends up with a white girl he has no chemistry with” threw me for many loops, especially after I was surprised to find myself liking Scira, even though I’m usually bored by straight relationships because of their one-sided focus and nonexistent chemistry. Kira got to be a character outside of Scott, and I liked their romance better for it, and then desert for a thousand years!

TLDR on the canon end of things is that Kira and Arden were done dirty by a group of powerful white men who wanted to tell a cishet white story.

Now, on the fandom end of things, I’m stepping into the real hot water. It’s safe to say that Kira’s story was sloppy and Arden didn’t deserve that ending, but it’s less safe to say that this fandom doesn’t treat her that well either. Here’s the most popular x Scott ships on Ao3, under the Teen Wolf tag with no other filters.

Scott and Allison. Scott and Stiles. Scott and Isaac. Then Scott and Kira, in dead last. Scott and Malia don’t even make the top ships list, probably because of how rushed and sloppy it was, but I digress.

People love Scott and Allison a lot, and I get that. I liked her too. I was also sad when she died. But, unlike a lot of sentiment I see in this fandom, I don’t think she should have been brought back to fight the beast in season 5 and get back with Scott. Not only do I think bringing characters back to life without very good reason and explanation (which they wouldn’t have, come on) cheapens their death, and that bringing characters back to life is weak storytelling in general, but let’s recall that Scira is still a thing in season 5. They’re still madly in love when Kira leaves. Allison should not have come back and love-triangled so Kira could be written off for a different white girl or so the massive amount of young white girls in the fandom who love Allison would be angry at Kira for breaking up their OTP. That would have been the one thing that could have made season 5 worse. (Well, they could have made Marrish a thing or killed Mason, but Jeff Davis thought about it and a shiver went down his spine because the ghost of Christmas future hears my name in its nightmares.)

Even if people aren’t “bring Allison back” campers, they largely ignore Kira’s entire existence. People who post gifsets and posts about Allison or Lydia don’t give anywhere near the same amount of attention to Kira. I see more Malia posts, actually. And while all of them had more runtime than Kira, none of them paired with Scott quite as perfectly, or had such strong independent storylines. Lydia almost did, but it kept petering out and she kept going back to main plot only. I see lots of appreciation posts for Allison and Lydia and Malia and the men, obviously, but NOTHING for Kira or Arden Cho. We all know what happened backstage because we read the same post in 2016 or whenever and then we all stopped talking about it.

Even the racism in this fandom skips Kira. Scott antis, I’m looking (controversially) at you. I’m glad Kira isn’t the subject of a bunch of obvious racism (as much as “bring Allison back!” makes it subtle), but not because she’s a forgotten side character. Kira made the main credit sequence! She has a sword! What else could you all POSSIBLY want?

And here’s where I burn at the stake: Kira was written off her own damn “look Fun Japanese mythology” storyline half the time so it could center around Stiles. A white boy. There were numerous issues with the mythology before that — “Oni” means demon, not “firefly samurai ninja”, and it refers to a similar mythology as the western “fae”, a large collection of creatures benevolent, malevolent, and in between, with different traits and origins. Kitsunes are meant to be red or white, not gold, and they’re foxes, not cats, animation team. “Nogitsune” refers to the malevolent class of “low” Kitsune, or “wild” Kitsune, who didn’t align themselves with the goddess Inari and do divine and pious work. There are many of them and the most they really do is harass people at shrines, not murder indiscriminately for funsies. They’re only malevolent in that they like doing bad deeds, not that they’re serial killers. And they’re not one of the usual 13 low Kitsune, two of which are bad of their own accord! (Spirit and Air. Google it!) They are meant to be dealt with by Inari-aligned high Kitsune, not your average tricky fox. Among other things.

So Stiles. Outside of the Kira storyline, he’s used in a lot of fandom discourse about racism and sexism. And queerbaiting. Y’all love a scrawny white boy. Anyways, Stiles gets possessed by the Nogitsune (that’s NOT how that works but okay Jeffrey) and suddenly s3 is about him. Kira’s not evil, now let’s look at Stiles being tired and messy and killing people. Dylan #1 did a great job playing that part, no hate on him, but the fact that a white boy became the main character in a Japanese (or Korean, if you’re Jeff, same thing) girl’s storyline is. Hmm. How do you call it? Blatant racism. And erasure. Which is racism. YIKES, Jeff. There is so much wrong with Stiles being the Nogitsune and controlling the Oni and his whole story (and oh my god the other guy who got possessed was also a white boy instead of a Japanese character played by the same actress Jesus fucking Christ). I’m not going into that, because that’s its own essay.

Anyways, because of how much this fandom loves Stiles, it’s easy to ignore how Kira and Japanese characters were treated. People project onto Stiles with glee. He’s white. He’s awkward. He’s (supposedly) not super attractive. (Yikes.) He’s ditzy and bouncy and all that fun stuff, but he also always saves the day. He got written off for most of 6b and he still saved the stupid day. And hey, dark!Stiles (let’s not get into calling him dark instead of Nogitsune that’s just too much wine we’d have to crack open to say it) is a fun trope and people like posting and creating about him. Except that he’s the white boy who took Kira’s storyline. Her independent story about Kitsune and the like was all given over to him, not just by the show, but by the fandom. So now every post about Kitsune is a Stiles post, even if it started with Kira. And because it’s Stiles, and this fandom loves him, and is easily offended by people leaning too hard on the glass house around them and him, Kira gets forgotten and swept aside. Everyone would rather talk about Stiles. Who is incapable of bad. Or cultural appropriation. But if you attack him you’re being ableist because he has ADHD. This is why I relate to Nolan for anxiety feels instead.

TLDR on the fandom end, y’all don’t treat Kira better than the show did. I see a few posts here and there from some dedicated users — typically the same people posting about Boyd, Deaton, Morrell, yeah that’s it I’m the only one posting about Kali. (Un-fun fact: Kali was not played by an Indian actor, but by a half-Black actor. Jeff Davis, when called out on twitter, said “wow ok idiots we tried to find an Indian actress but it was hard actually SUPER hard so shut up and stop telling me how to write MY show”, which is paraphrasing with intent to make fun, but exactly what he said.) Y’all who know about Arden and Kira should diversify your blogs to include more POC, especially ones where the actor AND character were rudely sidelined for vague white people reasons. Post gifs of Kira along with Allison, Lydia, and Malia. Post ship stuff of Scira too. Post about kitsunes, the origin story of the Nogitsune, when you post about the white boy who became the main character of that arc. Call the show out. Call the fandom out. Stop making every bit and piece of her story about Czechoslovakia White Boy. Demand Kira in any future runs of the show, if season 7 or whatever does happen. Include her in your fanfictions, in your headcanons, in your art. You don’t have to love her, but you have to remember that she’s as there as any of the white characters are.

This take is very hot. If I receive racist asks and/or messages about this, I’m going to make fun of each and every sender.

is it 2013 again? cause i have a rant about teen wolf coming and i feel 16 y/o.

so due to dome heavy procrastination I've consumed a lot of teen wolf content, i skipped a bunch of episodes and a lot of scenes in the ones i haven't but i still have some Thoughts TM

it's good??? i had a Good Time watching, it was funny but intense and dark and i felt Feelings watching, some of the plotlines were meh (or maybe i just skipped them heh) but a lot were interesting and i loved the characters and their interaction

scott. my sweetheart. my baby. such a cutiepie, such a great protagonist 10/10 i love him and would die for him. he's so pure and cute and his little smile melts my heart. i love how he's fundamentally Human no matter how non human he is. he's a great character all around and i kinda wish they didn't do that shit to him at the end (imma get there) or treated him like he ISN'T the protagonist for such big parts of the shows

people KNOW. Stiles knows from day one, allison finds out soon, his mom finds out in season 2! the sheriff in 3, and they just become part of the gang and can help them with stuff bc they UNDERSTAND. shows like that get really tiring when the teens constantly lie to everyone around them and it was very refreshing. the running gag with the coach ruining things tho was funny and I'm ok with it.

Ok this is mellisa appreciation time. she's SUCH a great, complex and unusual mom-of-hero character. i absolutely love her and her attitude, i love how she's not simply being used as a tool to cause scott pain (just.. sometimes) and their relationship is parenting goals.

also isn't it fucking hilarious how she's a nurse but she just knows everything medical. she's also a surgeon and a mortician and a doctor. ik it's for plot reasons but it funny af.

in general women on the show.. had a lot of potential, i love them, but i hate how they were treated.

allison was all around great imo, her and scott's relationship was built very well and was two sided from the start (unlike... yeah), she has emotions, she's smart and brave, but also human and scared, she kicks ass and, again, exists outside of Scott's GF status (mostly). andddd they killed her. idk if the actress had to/wanted to leave or it was a pure writers decision bc they needed to keep just her father or something, but that would have been ok if not for all the other things

we have 3 main kickass ladies with powers- lydia, kira and malia. lydia spent close to FIVE whole seasons not knowing anything about her abilities/not knowing how to control them. cmon, it gets old. scott masters his powers after a season or two (and had control a lot sooner), parrish finds out what he is like half a season after it becomes relevant etc.

malia- do i need to explain? she was CONSTANTLY struggling controlling her abilities, no matter how badass she supposedly was. and kira oh boy, they did her dirty, didn't they?

kira was such a cute adorable character. i loved her and her little crush on scott and wanting to make friends and being freaked out about relationships, i love her discovering her past and heritage and learning to fight and gaining control and becoming a badass. but. what? they just undid all this? oh no the fox is taking over she has no control no agency of her own she needs to disappear for years now bye :( again, idk if the actress needed to leave but it was so unsatisfying and was insulting to the character. she wasn't even mentioned later a bunch like allison was, just they needed her mom for a plot tool and didn't even acknowledge it was her sword they were breaking. uhm rude?

LET WOMEN HAVE POWERS AND BE AWESOME WITH THEM. and not just minor/bad characters thanks.

i love the concept of a pack on the show and how you don't have to be a werewolf to be a part of it, how scott becomes a true alpha and how he cares about his friends. i kinda feel like in later seasons him being an alpha was more talk than show which like /: meh. like i said, he stopped BEING the main character, just talked about as if he was.

i love how friendship is valued, but i think it could be more.. i mean the scene in the motel, all season 3b, scott and lydia, all the girls with each other.. i love it. too many times tho it "wasn't enough" and only romantic love worked which SUCKS. in 6a i was so happy scott went in to try and remember stiles and the memories hit me right in the heart. then when it "wasn't enough" i was SO pissed and frustrated goddammit. i guess that leads me to the next point-

ships, should i talk about ships? i don't want hate in my asks but oh well it's been a few years maybe there's no fandom to care. I'll start with the end

malia and scott. what. the. fuck. when, out of fucking no where, they had like a lingering look or something i was just "nope. no thanks". and then every scene they had together i had to cover my eyes bc it felt so wrong and bad and awkward. jesus. no build up at ALL, they're like family, i just. ew. no. it felt way too much like "oh we gotta pair off the leftovers" or "the main character can't end up single" well guess what, he fucking can. it was. god. i can't even explain the disgust. when he needed to heal and all she had to do was kiss him ugh. it felt so fake and empty of meaning. i would 100% prefer for it to be stiles (I'll get there) or his mom who snapped him out of it.

melissa and chris, i could get aboard with that. def cute, def weird af since his dead daughter was dating her son but, well.

stiles and lydia is a ship i have conflicting feelings about. i absolutely hate the concept of "the nerd" is in love with the popular girl since freshman year and he's borderline being a creep ("oh but it's stiles! he's a dork and he's harmless" no.), completely obsessed with her and she ignores him but then they end up getting together.. i mean, it sends a bad msg to obsessed boys about how it's worth it in the end, and it makes the whole relationship feel unbalanced from the start, makes her reciprocation feel unatural. BUT, i have to admit the show did kinda make me warm up to this ship by the end, curse them. it was kinda cute. i wish there was more mutualness before it became such an important part in 6a tho.

just gonna put it out there: malia/kira and lydia/allison. i wish we saw more girl on girl interactions in general but the ones we had were very good, great dynamics.

i won't get too much into it but i.. i don't ship st*rek. i understand why they're the biggest ship (two white hot boys that interact with each other, i mean.), and i see the couple of fan service-y moments the show throws at us but just. they don't have my heart, i don't really care about them. not the characters, the characters i absolutely love! (tho this watch i skipped most of season 1 and 2 and 3a and i think that's where derek is the most asshole.. didn't he do really bad things? idr) idk if you want a bad character on the way to redemption with someone you should ship liam and theo who had way better shippy chemistry imo, even tho their ship probably wouldn't be healthy given their dynamic history, huh.

the ship that does owns my heart? scilies. I'm a softy when it comes to best friends to lovers, and their bond and relationship is just. so. pure. don't get me wrong, i love me a good platonic relationship, but there was just one to many homoerotic interactions between them for me not to ship it, hard. (not to be that person but my guess is that if Scott was white it would have been a way bigger ship, but who knows?) i love their love, i love they would do anything for each other, and i feel like there were a bunch of very missed opportunities for them in later seasons :(

so representation. this feels like a show that is trying to be Woke TM but it's not going so well. the main character is supposedly latino but it's never ever addressed. idc about "oh we want a world without prejudice" you can still fucking address it. i mean they went to Mexico a couple of times, stiles keeps saying "Mexican cousin" i mean. god. give us something. did i mention scott was told he'd make a great "nazi youth" ..

and you don't need to be a genius to see the most characters are very white or at least very white passing. and when you don't address their non whiteness they might as well be..

i already mentioned how poorly i feel kira was treated, but also mason, who is a wonderful character, gets no depth? we know nothing about him other than being gay and smart pretty much.

i also spoke about the women already but, they were really really great women characters, but not enough of them, not enough that lasted.

there's not much to talk about disability bc it just wasn't on the show. the only blind character was healed which. /: same with epilepsy and asthma..

i think the show is probably very proud (ha) with their LGBTQ+ rep bc they're like "oh let's make this insignificant couple gay bc hey nbg". examples are lydia's grandma, La Bete and marcel, i think nolan and jiang were exes and then nolan and gabe were a thing? idr if it was explicit. the couple of girls in the tent.. probably a couple more. it's nice, def better than all random couples being straight but that's not satisfying as rep.

Danny was great. i think he and ethan were.. cute? i think he was awesome, i loved danny so much and was very excited to learn he KNOWS at the end of season 3 and was waiting to see him join the pack. instead he fucking disappeared?! wtf. #WhereDidDannyGo

brett was cute rep, especially being bi but i feel like it could go into the insignificant pool which, again, is better than nothing.

mason and corey i just don't have strong feelings about. they were definitely cute and I'm glad they were together, i love mason A Lot. i think this relationship could be explored more, or at least the characters could be explored more to give this relationship more depth.

very interesting how there's no wlw canon couple, not even hinted. just fan servicey hot malia kira dance which /:

not to mention transgenderness. god can you imagine the interesting plotline of transitioning while being a werewolf 0:

i think the rep i was most happy about was ethan and Jackson. even tho i don't think there was build up or clues in the first couple of seasons, I'm happy for the actor who i know was struggling with coming out publicly, and it was very fun and refreshing for the ending. even if we got very few scenes with them the dynamic was 10/10

the biggest problem is obviously stiles. i just don't understand why, if they're so supposedly progressive, they went to that length to queerbait without following through. the whole gag of wanting to be attractive to danny and to gay guys, the whole "aww danny want to have sex with me that's so nice", the whole "do you like guys too?". it's a gag. his alleged bisexuality is the butt of a joke, and it pisses me the fuck off. they don't have to make it a big deal or have him get a bf for it to be official. it wasn't subtle subtext. it was a CHOICE. to put a spotlight on his sexuality but not deliver. -100/10 would not recommend.

also they could talk about his mental health more.

i had some more feelings, like villains changing sides without getting a proper redemption and having no consequences, the wholesomeness of the sherriff and mellisa being each other's kids second parent eichen house (wtf??), and more, but i think i wrote enough for now.

tl;dr- good show with A Lot of problems, will always have a place in my heart bc I'm a nostalgic gal.

Fandom really went "Lydia is a hardworking, motivated genius who reads advanced physics for fun and taught herself Classical and Archaic Latin, Stiles uses Google and has a library card who wrote an essay on circumcision in Economics. Clearly, they are intellectual equals!" And it's been accepted as "canon" by 98% of people. Also, love how Stiles's "research" is 99% just like, Googling + book skimming in fic and rarely actual work in fic yet he's right all the time and knows more than Deaton

We talk an awful lot about how the fandom at large gave all of the traits they loved about Scott to Stiles in an effort to make him more likable overall, but we never talk about how they reduce all the female characters to these cardboard cutouts of who they were in the show.

Lydia is canonically the smartest person in the show, especially out of the pack and their peers. She may not have been as wise as Deaton or Morrell, but she was certainly intelligent. The only member of the pack that I think could give her a run for her money is not Stiles (as fandom would have you believe), but Mason, and even then I think he's a few ladder rungs down. And yet, when you delve into fic, you'll find her to be a pale imitation of who she was.

You'd think that a fandom that revolves around the self-insert fics, and that was overwhelmingly female, would have worshipped Lydia. She was the perfect self-insert character, to the point that some would classify her as a "Mary-Sue". She was tough, yet vulnerable. Intelligent as all get-out, yet not a "nerd". Secure in her sexuality, and steadfastly loyal. Hell, in later seasons, she quickly learns how to defend herself physically to the point that she could take down those much bigger and even more experienced than her. And yet... Stiles is the one they make the best at everything? Especially when it comes to the "brains of the outfit" side of the pack. They look at Lydia being able to read the Argent Beastiary in archaic Latin, and her understanding of advanced physics and mathematics and say that its the same thing as Stiles using Google to look up werewolves. What's amusing about that to me is that Derek points that out in the second episode of the show.

"You think your little buddy Stiles can just google werewolves, and now you got all the answers, is that it?"

Like, the man they write as praising Stiles for his intelligence and ingenuity is the one who called out Stiles' inadequacies the most in canon. But, y'know, what's canon details compared to fandom opinions?

But back the point...

Lydia in canon was much like Mason, in that we were presented on screen with characters that embodied everything that they wanted Stiles to be in their fics.

Its just something that's always baffled me. I'm not saying women should only like female characters, but for a fandom that is mostly women, it's a little concerning how little love the women of the show get. They don't get hated on the way Scott did [except for Braeden for some inexplicable reason (*wink*)], but they weren't admired and worshipped some of the male characters were, which is weird because half of Scott's pack was comprised of women.

But its not misogyny, right?

“You’ll heal” That’s exactly what Scott said to Corey in Teen Wolf Season 5 episode 8. Scott physically assaulted and violated Corey – putting his claws into Corey’s neck without his consent – and he tried to justify his abusive behavior by yelling “You’ll be alright!” and “You’ll heal!” at a visibly hurt and traumatized Corey. Stiles’ comment in 5x11 was just a well deserved clap back to what Scott said (and did) to Corey in 5x08.

Okay. I was initially going to ignore this poor attempt to “parallel”, because that is what this comment deserves. However, this will serve as a warning statement for anyone else to not try me on this. Firstly, I am NOT here for any hate towards Scott Mccall or Stiles Stilinski. So, I will politely ask you to shove it somewhere more useful. Now, I will try to write this in a way you can understand. Scott never deserved that. My last post merely honors the fact that after Scott - had to fight his first beta, and close friend, in order to live, - only to then be killed off by a person he was so desperately give the benefit of the doubt, - died alone (Mason was unconscious), - was ressurected from the dead by his own mother who then tells him to give the members of his pack hope, even though he probably has lost all of it himself (which he ends up doing immaculately) - had to force himself to heal, to no avail btw (he keeps walking around with this huge open wound), in order to try and help his best friend - overexerted himself to help every one else (because that is who he is). , had the determination to try and fix this and kept on moving forward. I believe that Stiles simply made a mistake. This wasn’t a clapback at all, in my opinion. There are so many extenuating circumstances, which makes it understandable that someone will snap and say or do something stupid. But they learn from it, which is called “character development”. This whole thing just hit me, as a concept. Mostly because, even though Scott nearly always learns from his mistakes, in this case he doesn’t learn from Stiles’s. Scott keeps pushing himself far beyond his own limits, which is obvious in S5E18 “Maid of Gevaudan”, and this behavior doesn’t stop after that episode. This leads me to believe, that the next time he’ll die (which is bound to happen), he won’t magically get up again and roar. Stiles, I believe, knows this. Which might just be why he has so much trouble bringing that situation up (it gets subtlety ignored throughout, which could also be appointed to fast writing), because Scott turned his own curse into a gift (one he never wanted) to help everyone else to the best of his abilities, so tying to stop Scott is like trying to stop Superman. You shouldn’t. Scott constantly puts his own well-being completely behind anyone else’s. Which is, sadly, what a hero does. Scott, in S5E08, was under severe pressure (again), and did what he felt he had to in that moment, to save Liam and Hayden. While this doesn’t excuse assaulting Corey, I do see it as one of the few mistakes Scott makes and learns from. If you know Scott as a character, you know that when Lydia points his mistake out, he does feel guilty about it, but tries so set it aside in order to try and help the others. Corey has had his fair share of torment in the series, but he made mistakes too (like when he took Mason away before Scott could talk to him), but again in that situation it is understandable. And that to me is the whole point. After everything they’ve been through, they are bound to make mistakes, and they’re nearly always understandable in the given situation. Don’t act like you wouldn’t. Because in all honesty, if I were Scott in S5E11, I would probably not have the same determination that he has. As long as they learn from it, I don’t believe they deserve hate. And can we just please stop putting both of these characters up against one another? This isn’t that kind of TV show. It just isn’t. So go and shove your stinky, smelly, old and rotten olive in the middle of someone else’s perfect pizza, instead of trying to ruin mine. I will not accept any other comment, saying that Scott deserved this. (Because he never kicked Stiles out of his pack, he simply said that he needed time, which is obviously key here, since time was what made him come to the conclusion that Donovan’s death was self-defense.) Instead, I will just ignore you, because I can, which is the beauty of this platform. I love both Scott and Stiles, and if anything season 5 was simply a rough season for both of them. In my opinion, every friendship that is this intense is bound to have some arguments and doubts in them, but you do everything to try to get beyond that as best as you can together, which is why, all the supernatural stuff aside, this show is relatable to so many of you. Hope this was slightly educational. EDIT: The more I think about it, Scott saying “you’ll heal” is a direct consequence of the way everyone around him has been treating Scott’s injuries, rather than a “parallel”. Everyone has been so focussed on the fact that werewolves have the ability to heal physically, but disregard the mental healing process. At this point, this has been drilled into Scotts mind, that he is actually convinced that his pain and torment doesn’t matter, because it’ll just heal right? Now, in that exact situation, I’d possibly lash out at Corey too. Because Scott is expected to not dwell on the fact that he has been hurt, to just ignore it. But when someone else's pain might save two people's lives (Hayden and Liam), he should refrain from tapping into Corey’s memories? I understand that there were better alternatives, but given the circumstances, and the continuous mental strain that Scott underwent, I’m just not surprised that this is the option he goes for in that moment. Maybe that's what frustrates me, because even though I respect Stiles and love his character, I also believe that the “oh you’ll heal” thing, could be seen as a form of the mental torment he burdens Scott with. And maybe just maybe this isn’t a clapback to Scott from the Corey moment, but proof of Stiles’s disregard for Scotts mental and physical health... Idk, their relationship is very complex, which is what I like about it. But sometimes I just wish that Stiles would be slightly more considerate towards that, but then again S5 was an emotional wreck. And I do believe that it has a lot to to with the pressure to get a script out there within a certain timeframe. I just wish that there were more Sciles moments...

Marlow Stilinski was dating Liam Dunbar and her friendship with Mason Hewitt was stronger than ever. Nothing could ruin this school year for her - or so she thought. An old friend of her brother Stiles and his best friend Scott McCall tries to join the Pack. Marlow is skeptical of his motives, yet feels herself trusting him.

And as if the new guy wasn't enough of a nuisance, teenagers were running around Beacon Hills. Teenagers who shouldn't be shapeshifters. Teenagers who defied every law Marlow had thought to be true. Meanwhile, the mysterious Dread Doctors in town give Marlow visions of an old friend she never thought she'd see again.

seventeen: the bloody charity game

Marlow stood next to Mason by his locker. She had just seen Corey packing his bag in the boy's locker room and had run straight to Mason. She still believed in Corey and she knew Mason could keep him in town. "Just convince him to stay somehow!"

Mason sighed, closing the door to his locker. "Why? I understand why he'd want to leave town. Parrish burned him alive. He almost died."

"But you like him, don't you?" Marlow asked. Mason turned to her, crossing his arms in front of his chest. "Well, you do. I know that because I know you. And right now a great guy is about to walk out of your life."

"It doesn't matter. He's with the bad guys now."

"Everyone deserves a chance at redemption." Marlow reminded Mason. He bit the inside of his cheek. "And shouldn't the fact that he's running away from Theo give you an indication that he's not a bad guy at all."

Mason leaned against the locker. "Maybe you're right." he looked up at her. Marlow smiled at him assuringly. He sighed once more, tightening his grip on his backpack strap. "Okay, fine. I'll go."

Marlow lightly hit him in the shoulder. "That's my boy!"

Mason walked off to the locker room, turning around to smile at her before rounding a corner. She gave him two thumbs-up. Even if she couldn't get her happy-ever-after, Mason might and that was all that mattered to her at the moment. Anything to distract herself from her crushing anxiety.

She was about to walk out of the building, trying to escape the next pack meeting, when Stiles and Scott spotted her from down the hallway. She groaned. "Crap!" she complained, trying to walk away before they get to her.

"Marlow!" Stiles yelled. She quickened her pace. The boys caught up to her. Stiles put his hand on his sister's shoulder. "Marls, where are you going? We're having a meeting in a few minutes."

Marlow bit her lip. "I know."

Scott shot her a worried glance. "Are you okay?"

"No, not really," Marlow replied, her gaze fixed on the floor. Stiles put his finger under her chin, raising her head to look back at them. "I'm terrified," she admitted. "Of the Beast. And of more people dying. And many other things."

Scott sighed. "You could have said something."

"I don't want you to think I'm weak. Because I'm not!" she said intently.

Stiles nodded. "We know that."

Marlow clutched the necklace she was wearing tightly. "I just don't want to hold you back when I suddenly have another panic attack. What if it happens while we're fighting the Beast? Or Theo. Or the Dread Doctors. You get the hint."

Scott put his hand on Marlow's shoulder, giving it a light squeeze. "Hey, no matter what happens, we won't hate you for it. If you want to take a step back, that's okay. And if you do fight with us, remember we'll have your back. No matter what."

Marlow flashed him a tight-lipped smile. She was still terrified. But knowing her friends had her back made her feel immensely better. "Okay. Thanks," she told them. "Just, call me if you need help with something. We all know I'm still the best researcher on this team."

The boys smiled at her. "Of course."

WEREFOXES TO COME TO BEACON HILLS.

First page of the town’s newspaper announces.

Werefoxes are an extraordinary werecreature. There aren’t many of them left and even less young ones.

People say that foxes are protected by the ancients Gods, that’s why they can live more than any other creature. They are wise and powerful, some of them are said to be able to summon spirits to protect them.

They can also control the elements. They are feared in the supernatural world, and they have never mix with the other werecreatures, that’s why they are considered to be haughty and overweening.

Werewolves and werefoxes have hated each other since the beginning of times. There have been battles over territory and countless confrontations between them along History. Many foxes succumbed in their battles as the number of werewolves have always been bigger. But many werewolves have also been cursed and killed by the sometimes called kitsunes.

Now they lived in apparent peace, neither of them messed with the other, but some werewolves assure that the mere scent of a werefox can make them feral. The majority of them has never even seen a fox in their life.

That’s why foxes coming to Beacon Hills, werewolf territory, is such a big deal for the town.

The news claim that two teenagers will be moving with their families, they will be enrolling in Beacon Hills High School.

Talía Hale, the Mayor of Beacon Hills has granted them permission to come and stay and have asked the citizens of the town to welcome the foxes.

The citizens feelings about the werefoxes are contradicted. Old people and some adults are against them being in their territory, battles too recent for them. The majority of people, and specially the younger part of the population are excited by the foxes coming. This is the most exciting thing to ever happen in their little town.

Rumors spread about what could be the reason for the foxes to come, why are they not moving to cities controlled by werefoxes.

Panic erupts when the news about one of the foxes being a Nogitsune leaks to the press.

If foxes are dangerous, Nogitsunes are the worst kind. Foxes are trickers, the are vicious creatures, they lie and manipulate. Those qualities are increased on the Nogitsunes, who are also said to have a dark soul. Cross a Nogitsune and your life will end in the most painful and torturous way.

In the end the Mayor assures that the situation with the foxes is under control. She takes full responsibility for them.

First day of school, everyone in Beacon Hills High School is talking about the same thing. The foxes. The are coming. The students want to see them. And not only the students.

(Peter and Cora)

Cora: Why didn’t you ask mom about them anyway, hidding like this to see them as if they are some kind of celebrity is weird.

Peter: I was not going to give your mother the satisfaction of seeing me being excited. The boy is the Nogitsune, I’m so going to enjoy having him as my student. He is a little genius. I hope he challenges me, classes get so boring sometimes.

Cora: What did you expect? You are a literature and drama teacher.

Peter: Foxes are said to appreciate art more than wolves, maybe I will have students that are worth my time, at last.

Cora: God, you’re are talking about them like you wanna mate with them. You don’t do you? They are my age!

Peter: First of all, I am not that old, thank you very much. And second, don’t be stupid, wolves and foxes are not meant to be mates. It has never happened before.

A Jeep approaches the School.

Peter: It’s them.

Two teenagers come out of the Jeep, an asian girl with a ponytail, who looked as if she wouldn’t kill a fly, and a boy. Tall, with pale skin, wearing a red hoodie and who is watching at their surroundings, very much alert in case they don’t have a welcoming reception. He spotts Peter and Cora.

Both of the kneel to hide themselves.

Cora: Great, they are going to think we are creepers or worse that we are up to no good and we want to hurt them or something.

Peter: Relax.

Cora: Couldn’t you jut wait to see them in class?

Peter: They don’t have class with me today. I believe they have Derek later on.

Cora: Derek is probably already on class, he was not excited at all about them coming.

Peter: He’ll change his mind. Go to class, don’t be late. And thanks for being creepy with me.

Peter smirked, Cora rolled her eyes.

(Scott and Malia)

When Stiles and Kira came out of the jeep they are greeted by numerous students looking at them and sushing words between themselves. Probably comparing what they thought the foxes would look like.

Stiles wants to roll his eyes, he hates being the center of attention like this. Kira hates it even more.

Both of them walk towards the school’s entrance.

Malia: it’s that them?

Scott: Yeah, I think so... I mean I have never see them before.

Malia: They look pretty normal to me.

Scott: Of course the are normal! And I bet they are nice too. I don’t believe all the bad things they say about their kind.

Malia: Be careful, you know you are always too trusting.

(Allison and Lydia)

Stiles and Kira open the door and enter the hallway. They majority of the students stop to gaze at them.

They continue walking towards the principal’s office. Stiles and Kira feel like they are in a catwalk and they are the models.

Allison: If it wasn’t for the fact that everyone knows each other in this high school, they would have been able to pass as any other student. My father told me they don’t look different from us.

Lydia: I heard they were extraordinary beautiful creatures. I’m glad they are normal.

Allison: Of course you are.

Allison laughed at her best friend’s vanity.

Allison: They look pretty to me.

Lydia: They are not bad. Maybe I will let them be my friends.

Lydia smiled to herself eyes never leaving the pair of foxes as if they were her prey.

Liam and his friends looked at the werefoxes when they heard the commotion caused by the other students. They are really happy about the foxes being here.

Mason: They look good.

Corey: Not frightening at all.

Liam: I really hope we get the chance to meet them.

Hayden: Yeah right, because they are going to want to befriend you.

All of them laughed teasing Liam.

Liam: I really hope they don’t have any trouble, there are many students who don’t want them here.

Mason: Yeah, specially the Nogitsune. Who do you think it is by the way?

Hayden: it’s gotta be the boy, the girl looks too nice.

(Stiles and Kira)

Stiles: So far so good, no bombs or things flying at us. It’s an absolute success.

Kira: They won’t stop looking at us.

Stiles: You know that was going to happen. I’m sorry for putting you through this.

Kira: Don’t worry, there’s no place I’d rather be than next to you. I know you will always protect me.

They smiled at each other. During this past years they have become like siblings.

At that moment one of the students decided to explode a balloon. There were some laughs and little screams.

Kira got scared and involuntary she made the lights of the school flick.

All the students looked at them. They must have known that Werefoxes can control the elements. Now they know that one of them controls electricity.

Some of the students start to leave towards their classes. Stiles doesn’t like they face the are wearing.

They were exciting before, now they look afraid. And that’s exactly what Stiles was trying to prevent.

Stiles: Kira be careful, we can’t be seen as a threat.

Kira: Sorry, I was starlet, i didn’t mean to.

Stiles: Come on, let’s go to the principal’s office. The sooner we get to class the sooner the day ends.

(Derek)

Derek was trying not to think about the foxes coming to the school. He was against them being in their town, he didn’t manage to convince her mother to not let the come.

And now, he was going to be their history teacher. The chapters about the Wolves and Foxes battles were sure to be interesting this year.

Derek was preparing the class, talking to some students who have come to class early when they saw the lights flick.

The foxes.

Some of the students got nervous.

Derek: Relax it’s just a malfunction of the lights. Nothing happened.

The students calmed.

Derek doesn’t know if he is going to be able to be impartial with his new students. He doesn’t understand why Peter is so happy to have them.

This year could not end fast enough.

(Isaac and Erica)

Isaac and Erica were both in Derek’s class when the lights malfunction happened. But they know their alpha, he is lying. The foxes did it.

Isaac: I wanna see them.

Erica: Derek will probably get mad.

Isaac: I don’t care.

They both stood up from their chairs and headed towards the door.

Derek: Where are you going?

Erica: Just to the bathroom will be back in a sec.

Derek looked at them angrily.

When both wolves exited the class they could only see the foxes from behind.

Isaac: They don’t look that strong.

Erica: No they don’t.

Derek: Do not underestimate them. Go to the bathroom, the class is starting in five.

(Aiden and Ethan)

Aiden: so it’s true what they say about their scent making you violent.

Ethan: you feel it too.

Aiden: I hope that Deucalion let us take care of them.

Ethan: Maybe they will not cause trouble.

Aiden: it’s in their nature. They manipule and trick it’s what they do.

Ethan watches the foxes go. He hopes that this sense of trouble he has inside will eventually leave.

(Jackson and Danny)

Jackson: Who do they think they are?

Danny: You are just mad because they are getting more attention than you.

Jackson: I really hope that they don’t plan to join the Lacross team.

Danny: Why not? Foxes are suppose to be faster than wolves. It’ll be good for our team.

Jackson looked at his friend with a disgusted face. Of course the future Druid will be all on board of welcoming the foxes.

Jackson: Their not taking my place as captain.

Danny: Of course not.

Danny snorted, amused by his friend’s attitude.

(Theo)

Theo has been waiting for this moment all summer. The foxes are finally here. The Nogitsune is finally here.

He knows foxes are manipulatives, but he is too. He wants the Nogitsune, he is going to control him, that way his future pack will be invencible.

He spotted the werefoxes coming from the hallway.

The girl looked like a doll, sweet and nice. But the boy, the boy looked delicious.

My Nogitsune.

Theo’s was not expecting the fox to be this breathtakingly handsome. The wolf inside Theo howled at the sight.

Theo was bewitched by the werecreature. His eyes were beautiful, his skin pale and perfect to mark. And those lips. They were sinful.

His wolf wants him, he wants him bad.

Theo is surprised by the feelings inside him. Much to his knowledge, Wolves and Foxes don’t mate. But he would be lying if he said that he didn’t want to claim the boy right there.

He needs to focus. His plan. Whatever this is can’t jeopardise his plan.

He looks at the foxes and at that moment the boy looks at his direction. Theo smirks. The boy bites his lower lip.

Their eyes meet and Theo feels a spark traveling trough his body.

The boy walked towards him.

The students who were next to Theo started to leave.

The fox stopped a few inches apart from Theo. He looked serious and he was examinating Theo as if trying to read him.

Theo: Welcome to Beacon Hills High School.

Stiles: What’s your name wolf?

Theo smirked.

Theo: it’s only polite to introduce yourself if you are demanding someone else’s name.

Stiles bit his lip again, face coming closer to the wolf.

Stiles: You know who I am.

Theo: I may know what you are, but I don’t know your name. My mane is Theo.

Stiles: Well, Theo, I don’t know what you are planning but stop it. People should know better than to try to trick a fox.

Theo smiled. Oh he is smart. He really wants him.

Theo: What makes you think I’m planning something.

Stiles: Drop the act, you can’t fool me wolf.

Stiles put his arms on the locker, trapping Theo between it and his body. The fox whispered to the wolf’s ear.

Stiles: When you think you can win me, I’ll always be two septs foward.

Theo should not feel this aroused. But if the fox doesn’t separate from him soon he is going to kiss him hard on those perfect lips.

Their eyes met. Again electricity ran inside Theo’s body. He whispered back to Stiles’s lips.

Theo: Got it.

Stiles separated from Theo and returned to Kira, never leaving sight of the wolf.

Theo was leaning on the locker feeling his legs melting. This was only a bit of the power of the Nogitsune. He wanted it all. His mind kept screaming ‘mine, mine, mine’, but he is starting to think that he is the one who is going to be controlled by the fox and no the other way around. He is okay with that. As long as he is with him.

Stiles met Kira and opened the door of the principal’s office.

Theo: What’s your name?

Theo screamed so the other will listen. Their eyes met again.

Theo: I will find out anyway.

Stiles: Stiles. My name is Stiles.

Stiles entered the office and closed the door.

Stiles.

One way or another he will be mine. Theo is really excited about this new school year.

Pup’s First Bath

Sheltering in place has me cleaning up my many, many WIP folders, and in the process, I came across a tiny piece of Malia and Stiles and baby goodness that somehow never left the folder. So here it is!

Pain blooms between her legs as she lowers herself into the warm water with a hiss. “Go slow,” Stiles reminds her gently, hands still bracketing her ribcage, and she nods with her eyes closed, trying to breathe through the pain until it subsides. It hurts worst there - she told Stiles it’s worse than a gunshot - but it also hurts in her back, her abdomen, and her legs. It’s the kind of sore she feels after the pack just barely wins; right now, it’s the best sore in the world.

“You okay?” he asks once she’s resting against the back of the bathtub and can open her eyes again. Malia nods, holding up her arms as a question. Stiles laughs and presses a kiss to her forehead before turning back to Melissa who has the baby in her arms. As soon as he begins to unwrap the towel from around Madden, she begins to wail again, and it tugs at some part of Malia’s heart that had laid dormant until this morning. That same part of her heart throbs as she listens to him try to soothe her while lifting her out of Melissa’s arms and then placing her gently in Malia’s. Melissa hands Stiles back the bag of frozen corn he's using as a substitute ice pack, and then it's just the three of them.

“We gotta get that swaddle thing down,” Stiles says as he slides down the wall to sit beside the tub, wincing as he brings the bag back up to the back of his head. “She literally hates being able to move.”

“I know.” Malia bounces the baby gently in her arms and pats her bottom. With the baby settled in her arms, she steals a glance at him. “How’s your head?”

Stiles makes a face in response. “How's your vagina?”

“I want to cut it off.”

He nods, eyes wide. “I think I understand that on a spiritual level right now.”

“The water helps,” she says, almost thinking aloud as she shifts and feels little pain. The scent of the herbs Melissa had put in the water is strong, almost overpowering the baby’s and Stiles’s, and her skin is starting to tingle beneath the water, though that might be her healing ability kicking back in at full force now that she’s no longer healing for two.

“Good. I'm glad. Maybe Scott can take the edge off when you get out.” Madden lets out another frustrated cry before Malia can say anything. Without missing a beat, Malia repositions her hand beneath the top of the baby’s head and turns her so she's floating on the surface of the water in front of Malia, Malia’s palms resting beneath her head. Stiles scoots closer, drawn like a magnet so he can see the baby as she calms down, staring up at them with her big eyes. He reaches over with his hand to take her much tinier one, and Malia watches as the baby wraps all of her fingers around one of his.“How's Madden?” he asks as he presses a kiss to Malia’s shoulder before resting his chin there.

“I think she’s scared,” she responds without pulling her eyes away from the baby. Even without looking though, she can feel the way he tenses and smell his worry.

“Scared?”

Malia nods, the baby’s racing heart fluttering in her ears. Madden yawns, her mouth a wide O, and looks much more content than scared, but Malia recognizes this cadence almost like she’s felt it in her own chest, adjusting to a world that’s so foreign from what she’s always known. “It’s scary being somewhere new,” she says, letting her forearms move out from beneath the baby so her lower body can slip into the water, her head still safely cradled in her hands. “But she likes the sound of your voice. And she likes the water.”

“Makes sense. She spent so much time inside you.”

There’s a weird feeling in the pit of her stomach, almost like a phantom kick as she watches the pup in front of her. As soon as she had watched her tumble into Melissa’s waiting hands, leaving Malia’s own body in a rush, she had recognized her, like she knew her from the minute she had started growing inside of her. But even with her arms full, there’s still an emptiness there. Not a sad emptiness, just an odd feeling welling inside of her as she tries to adjust to no longer having the pup curled just beneath her heart. She tries to feel that space instead by memorizing every tiny part of Madden. The tiny knot of her umbilical cord, the ears that look just a little too big for her tiny head, the nose that Stiles still says might just be squished but she knows will look like his, the long legs and tiny feet that stayed wedged under her ribs for so long, the little elbows Stiles pushed against to make her push back once she was too big to move around very much, the grey-blue eyes that have barely closed since she was born.

“Do you think her eyes will stay blue?” she asks when she finally speaks, still not looking away from the baby.

“Well, we both have brown,” Stiles says, and she can almost hear the way something locks in his brain, so he can’t find the words to finish his explanation of why she could still have blue eyes. “Either way, her beta eyes will be yellow.” He’s quiet as he reaches over to smooth down the baby’s dark hair, then she feels his shoulders shrug against his own. “Unless she ate her twin, like Mason.”

Malia immediately turns to look at him, her horror obvious. Stiles pulls always quickly so she can see his face, giving her shoulders a reassuring squeeze. “I'm kidding,” he says quickly as he holds up his hands. “She wasn't - That wasn't - “ With a groan, he lets his head hang. “I haven't slept in three days, okay?” As if to prove a point, he yawns seemingly with his own body as he lifts his head. “How is she still awake?” he asks with a nod towards the baby when he stops. “How are you still awake?”

“I’m not tired.” The truth is, her body feels exhausted, but her mind is wide awake, unable to look away from the pup. “Neither is she.”

“God, we did good, Mal,” he says as he keeps his arm around her shoulders, kissing her arm a second time. “You did good. You were incredible.”

“So was she.” Malia leans down closer to the baby, closing her eyes as she lets her nose brush against the baby’s. For a minute, she just breathes in her scent, similar to Stiles’s but still different, fresh and new and intoxicating. Madden’s tiny fingers brush against Malia’s chin, and she smiles to herself, wanting to memorize that, too. When she pulls back far enough to see her tiny face, Madden is staring up at her like she understands. Like she feels this connection they share now, the only two people who knew what the past two days felt like. One that even Stiles who was there in the room for the entirety of her labor can truly understand. “You were,” she whispers gently to the baby before pressing a kiss to the middle of her forehead.

When she finally pulls back, Stiles is wiping furiously at the newest wave of happy tears. He rolls his eyes when he catches her gaze, shaking his head. “I need sleep.”

Malia brings her knees up to rest beneath the baby’s slight weight so she can pull one arm away from her tiny body. “C’mere,” she says with a gentle wave of her hand. He leans closer, and she wipes away from the few remaining tears with the pad of her thumb before leaning in to kiss him. “I love you,” she tells him when she finally pulls away keeping her hand on his cheek.

“I love you, too, Mal. You have no idea,” he tells her before leaning in to kiss her a second time. But with the baby in her lap, her heart full, and the rest of this journey laid out before them, she knows. She has an idea.

Changing thing up a bit @capricornsicle, that other post was becoming unwieldy.

You think you’re on a crusade to expose fandom racism and bias in Teen Wolf, but in doing so, because TW is such a specific beast, you make assumptions and add unnecessary hyperbole to your arguments.

You’ve assumed and ran with the idea that I’m white (many do, which is strange since my icon is a black woman) and you’ve treated me a certain way because of it. But then in the same breath you’ll say there’s inherent bias against Scott McCall, a character that many people saw as white played by an actor who is white passing.

There’s also this underlying statement that any majority of people see Scott as Latinx and automatically make it a negative thing which again, isn’t true, specifically not in Teen Wolf.

I’ve found the antis like to take black racism experiences and try to fit Scott into that category, but even a small thing like colorism makes it so it’s not equitable.

that’s a general statement about fans and critics alike holding characters of color up to a higher standard than white characters. It’s not everyone, it’s certainly not an attack on anyone, but it happens a lot, across various fandoms. White characters are much more often forgiven for the things they do than characters of color who do the same things.

This doesn’t happen with the frequency you think and in the Teen Wolf fandom when it does happen it is rarely if ever in regards to Scott. Other, more evident characters of color yes.. And the wild examples that the antis present are never equitable. Even when presented with context, they often have to padd it and stretch it to make it seem like some infraction has been done. What it does is seek to absolve Scott of ANY wrong doing, when really there is fault laid at both parties.

I’ll provide a couple of examples in the moment, but the bottom like is that Stiles/Derek/Peter stans acknowledge their faults and many times love them because of it. On the show Scott was never given the chance to acknowledge his faults, the show refused to admit that he needed to grow and be redeemed of anything. This was a misstep because he became unpalatable, not as a perfect icon, but as someone whose actions didn’t hold relevant consequences.

The Donovan Incident

Now, I disagree with some key points, but overall I think this is the most important part:

They fought, like teenagers do, especially teenagers who have gone through that kind of trauma, and then, in 5x13, they’re talking outside a gas station, and they talk and get over it,

If everyone could agree that this happened, this would be a much better place. But antis will not chalk up the experience for the contrived nonsense it was and become so enraged when people blame Scott that they can’t let it be and suddenly we’re all racists.

Which, using racism as a tool to sooth butthurt is not okay and we see it time and time again. They take every seedling and think, “how can I add racism to this so I get my way?” which is pathetic, but also sullies the impact of real racism on the show.

During this time Tracey was murdered, Mason was non-existent, they killed Noah and Lucas sent Kira to the desert and left her there. But being mad at Scott for intentionally misunderstanding Stiles is what’s racist? This is why antis and SDP Stans constantly bump heads. Everyone has been in a friend group where some new interloper comes in and riles things up. Usually trying to steal someone’s man, but you know there are certain things you do when that happens and Scott made ALL the wrong moves. He knew Stiles didn’t trust Theo and openly disliked him, it should have been an immediate red flag when Theo started in with Stiles violently killing someone in cold blood. Additionally, I would have LOVED if the show made the connection to Scott still being traumatized by Nogi, but again, the show made it seem like Scott was JUST FINE! and again, a disservice was made to his character.

The point is that a not insignificant number of fans label Scott as a constant bad friend, as someone who’s always a bad influence on Stiles, and that’s really not the case.

People who label him as a constant bad friend use this as ONE example of it. I actually questioned their friendship after Motel California. I remember there were a couple of beats that made it clear they weren’t sandbox buddies, and probably met in the community little league (was it little league or soccer that they met Theo? I forget?). There have been several instances of them not being as close as they claimed.

If Stiles can be forgiven for throwing lacrosse balls at Scott (which really fucking hurt, speaking from experience) and keying some random loner kids’ car to get him beat up because Lydia kissed him

Just a side note, Stiles was havign his fun, yes, but Scott was completely complicit in these scenes and knew 100% what was going on. Stiles was helping Scott by testing his tolerance and helping him control his heartbeat and yes they did it in bonehead teenage boy ways, but there was nothing malicious or racially motivated about it. Talk about holding characters to different levels. You’ve all made the white characters irredeemable supremacists when nothing in the canon alludes to this.

a few antis forgive Stiles but condemn Scott. And that’s because of racial bias that makes those particular antis hold Scott to much higher standards than his white friends, which is a nice way of saying it’s racism.

Which again, is wrong in that you have absolutely no way of quantifying this for every viewer. There’s no such thing as special Scott centric racism. If someone is racist, they’re going to show it against anyone not white on the show, and that’s simply a) not the case and b) impossible to determine from the asks of one anon and some misinterpreted fic.

Liking Scott isn’t pro-POC, no, but it is tied to racial issues in Hollywood, popular media, and fandom. Scott being Latinx (despite the fact it never comes up, he’s played by a Latinx actor and is undoubtedly TV’s favorite “ambiguously brown”) makes him connected to racial issues.

But it doesn’t, because Teen Wolf was specifically created as a world without color so coding Scott as race-neutral meant that audiences had the choice to view him that way and many did. I mean, look at the show, he has two white Italian actors playing his parents, his last name is McCall and his mother’s maiden name was Delgado which could mean anything. Jeff had a habit of casting white women with Latinx last names they got from a gracious step-father, it’s not a leap to say this was true of Melissa. This is why I refuse to give the show any representation points. Diversity sure, they’re there, but they’re not well represented and again, this neither starts nor ends with Scott McCall.

Liking Scott is something that a lot of viewers of color end up doing

Again, not entirely true. Liking Boyd? Yes. Deaton, Morrell, Kira? Yes. Scott? Sure... the response to Scott from Latinx fans was varied in interesting ways. Some went up hard for him and while I don’t acknowledge the show’s version of Scott, I write him as half Mexican in every fic. There are some who, like you, were so excited to see someone like themselves and that’s beautiful and awesome. There were also some that started excited but then were like “oh, he’s playing a white boy” which people like to forget was VERY much a thing. There was no reason to think Scott was white and in fact when Jeff received the Alma award, it was for casting Posey and not necessarily having a Latinx character. In the beginning of Teen Wolf he was actually asked if Scott was white (the phrase they used was “All American” which...), And there were still others who hated Scott instantly and thought he was wack and did NOT see themselves in him.

So even within the Latinx community alone there were several opinions. Now spread that out to hundreds of thousands and then millions of viewers. So when you say “Liking Scott is something a lot of VOC end up doing” you’re creating a value based judgement on the idea of liking YOUR version of Scott McCall.

Which isn’t fair and isn’t correct.

YOU ended up liking Scott because YOU appreciated the interpretation. No one can take that away from you. But when you cast this net of racism, you’re gonna end up with a lot of things that don’t fit the term and a lot of people mad that they’re caught in your web of racial bias.

if it’s the burden of POC to fight for representation tooth and nail, then that’s the fight I’ll be fighting.

Part of it is that sometimes I worry that if I don’t post about them, if I don’t post gifs of them and talk about them and make them be part of the teen wolf tag on this site, no one else is going to.

We talked about this with your first post. Generally I’m sympathetic, but I do take issue with your methods. Yes, I’ve seen those gif tax posts and I love the concept, but... tax is something you pay in the exchange for something that you want. I don’t see POC characters as tax and I get it’s just a clever way to name what you’re doing, but I think it makes it so negative when celebrating the POC characters should be an enjoyable and inclusive thing.

If you feel alone, it’s because you haven’t reached out to anyone. I know a lot of creators who make content for characters of color, The problem is that when you accuse people of focusing on white characters in a show FULL of white characters and cover them with a blanket of systemic bias, you’re alienating a lot of people who don’t want the drama.

Someone just released some ao3 stats of POC characters in Sterek fics verses TW fics as a whole and Kira was sadly underrepresented, showing up in just under 45% of fics. My answer to that isn’t to scream at Stereks about how racist they are against Asians. Instead, I wanna have a Kira appreciation event, but until I can, I make sure to write Kira into my fics because I love her. I repost gifsets with her in them, I comment and seek out people who create for her and support them and if you approach some creators, the’re happy to be amenable. I’ve left comments on fics asking for a certain character and sometimes they rightfully say no, but sometimes it’s not a problem and the change is awesome.

I feel like the bulk of antis have an idea in their mind and don’t give anyone else a freaking chance. And then, when anything negative is said about Scott, they go awf like SEE!!?!> RACISM!!!!!! when it’s honestly not the case. The anon doesn’t represent even the minority of the majority of stereks. Tumblr doesn’t, ao3 doesn’t, twitter doesn’t. That’s why it’s so much less stressful to find out ways to insert diversity and representation rather than browbeating others to do it out of shame.

There’s this perceived bias that worms it’s way in that simply doesn’t exist at the levels you think it does. Because not only are you assuming that people dislike the characters of color because of their color, but also that they harbor negative feelings.

But, as we’ve learned from K-pop fans, it seems white people are much more willing to enjoy and put out East Asian representation than representation of people darker than them

Kira was undoubtedly brought in to bring a more Asian audience, but again, racism isn’t a pick and choose kind of thing. People who hated Kira and love Scott do not see Scott as Latinx. And Kira has more posts by a small margin mostly because she was there and she had a family and large ties to the plot. Not because kids loves k-pop (which wasn’t even that big during her run).

And THIS:

Boyd was specifically not stereotypes as aggressive and athletic, and in all fanfic is usually the one who reasons and is most level headed. He came from a poor background, but so did Isaac, and he questioned Derek and Scott. This is what I mean, while I agree that it’s your interpretation, you can’t say it’s a universal interpretation and then judge others because of it.

The only time I care is when people specifically dislike Scott because of perceived affronts to Stiles and/or Derek, and I say “perceived” because I refer specifically to ones those specific anons and antis take completely out of context, blow out of proportion, or just make up.

Lol, again, your perception, because I can give you several canon based reasons to be upset with Scott, but of course you’ll find a way, no matter how tangential to twist it, because he’s your fave and canon is a mess. This is the freaking point. Let people have their stories. It’s not hurting you if you also add in yours.

I do not believe it is possible for a 16-year-old to consent to a romantic and/or sexual relationship with a 24/25-year-old, but this post isn’t about that

If we’re Scott and Stiles then it’s one of us talking and the other not listening and doing theings they’re own way and the fact that both of us have different ideas as to which is which is really part of the fun.
