Por motivo del Cumpleaños del actor de doblaje Sergio Gutierrez Coto, he decidido hacer un collage con algunos de mis personajes favoritos doblados por este gran actor (Nota: es mi opinión personal).

- Batman: que decir de uno de los mejores super heroes en la historia de DC y de los comics después de superman y el hombre araña.

- Nikolai Itchenko: gran villano que imponía respeto y miedo con su presencia, lastima que al final no se enfrentó a Denzel Washington.

- Lord Shen: el mejor villano de Kung Fu panda después de Tai Lung, quien tiene pasado con Po, las mejores escenas de la Segunda película (después de los momentos TIPO), momentos serios y graciosos, uno de los momentos más tristes en la historia de la animación y una banda sonora de primera (aunque la de Kai sigue siendo la número 1). Es una pena que no haya vuelto para la cuarta, se sintió su ausencia con la de Kai ahí de adorno, nunca le perdonaré esa grosería a Dreamworks y Mike Mitchell.

- Aragorn: de lo mejor que nos trajo el señor de los anillos junto a Frodo, Gandall, Golum y Legolas. Jamás he sido muy fan, pero sus películas son disfrutables.

- Roman Pierce: las películas de rápidos y furiosos son ridículas, pero el personaje de Tyrese Gybson siempre sabe como sacarnos a más de uno una carcajada.

- Jedediah: junto a su amigo y supuesto amor Octavius, este personaje me hacia reír en todas sus escenas de la saga una noche en el museo 🤣.

- Pitch Black: después de Lord Shen, Pitch Black es el segundo mejor (para mi) villano que ha doblado. Su voz, presencia, personificación, poderes y demás. Pitch Black ocupa un lugar especial en esta lista, es una pena que la película haya fracasado, porque el coco es de lo mejor (Nota: me recuerda a un villano de doctor strange, Pesadilla).

- Nathan Algren: un ex veterano de la guerra civil convertido al código samurai; película que nos habla del honor, la lealtad y la redención. Aún me cuesta oír a Tom Cruise sin Arturo Mercado Jr XD.

- Khan: gran personaje en una película maravillosa que nos habla de la tolerancia, el respeto, la familia y el apoyo al prójimo en un contexto turbulento de este siglo.

- Chandler Bing: gran personaje de Friends con momentos memorables de la televisión que nos dejaron una sonrisa a todos. Aunque ya no está con nosotros, su espíritu sigue presente. Descansa en paz.

- Aldo "el apache": Christop Waltz se robo la película, pero este personaje también tiene sus momentos. Mis favoritos son cuando interrogan a los oficiales n@zis antes de ser @s3sinados por el oso judío y claro el final.

- Comandante cobra: las películas de Gi Joe han sido mediocres, pero el villano nunca falló con escenas que mostraban su maldad y megalomania en sus planes de dominación mundial (Nota: por este personaje es que lo considero perfecto para doblar al Doctor Doom; si no se puede en el UCM entonces en algún otro medio como videojuegos, series, etcétera).

- Coach Skip: aunque fue breve su participación en la película el fantástico señor zorro (recomendada por cierto), es grato oírlo cuando le explica a Kristofferson las reglas del juego (no recuerdo su nombre). Me da risa como su personaje corre hacia una hielera para tomar el termo de agua para decir: "niños jueguen bien, así se hace" para desaparecer.

- Bagheera: la versión del libro de la selva de netflix tiene sus altas y bajas en cuanto al live action de disney, pero eso no le quita el mérito de ser una gran película. Sobretodo su doblaje latino, Bagheera como siempre siendo sabio y siempre del lado de Mowgli. El mejor momento y a la vez más triste es cuando se despide del niño humano no sin antes contarle su historia viviendo con los humanos antes de ir a la selva.

the flowers have water (AO3): MHA, Nana died, and was reincarnated as Inko Midoriya. An exploration of the character of Inko pre- and during canon.

Noisy As The Dead (AO3) (could also be found under the tag “there are many cons to being a one for all user au”): MHA, somewhat of a joint AU with Panda, in that we both ran with the same idea. Following a near death experience, Izuku can sees ghosts. He just wished they would be more mature than this.

Just Remembered. (AO3): MHA, roleswap AU between Rody Soul and Izuku Midoriya. Izuku is part of Humarise, Rody is a hero in training.

WIP WIP:

Garp Time Travel: OP, in a distant post-canon Garp travel back in time. This time, he decides to stay for his grandsons.

Roger Retirement Era: OP, instead of dying, Gol D. Roger decides to retire on Dawn Island to raise his son. Enter Garp, who just got given the care of his grandson.

Yeet to the future: OP, the Straw Hats were a famous up and coming pirate crew who suddenly disappeared one day. 30 years later, they make a come back at Marineford.

Baby Strawhats Time Travel: OP, the straw hats are sent back in time to their child bodies. Shenanigans ensue.

Before the coffee gets cold - The Headmaster: BSD, Atsushi has one last chat with the Headmaster of the orphanage after he died.

Dad For All AU: MHA, Izuku accidentally travels back in time, proceeds to adopts literally everyone.

MHA/One Piece AU: Fusion/isekai between One Piece and MHA set in the MHA Universe. Who will win between an immortal supervillain or a kid with the power of rubber and cartoon on his side.

Shanks raises Ace AU: OP, Roger decides to ask Shanks to raise his son instead of Garp. This leads to Buggy and Sabo raising each other, and Luffy finding his way in Rayleigh's care. Marineford is an absolute shitshow.

The Heir/Maid and Character Arcs

The Heir/Maid’s central question is, “How do I love”? Whether they play a mentor role or are the hero of their story, the Heir/Maid character is defined by their relationships with the people around them, and their own feelings of protection or disdain towards them. 

Setting

There is a looming threat to the world. Within moments of meeting the Heir/Maid, it is clear that there is a problem that must be solved. If the Heir/Maid is introduced with other characters, they will all have different opinions on how to solve the problem. The Heir/Maid will face a divided front when attempting to diffuse the threat. 

Right from the beginning, the Heir/Maid feels a deep connection to their world as it is. They just want to keep everyone and everything the same. In order to save their world, they must allow it to change. 

Internal Conflict

Their internal conflict is to learn how to love in a more balanced manner. It shouldn’t be controlling or uncaring. Love should be through acceptance. 

Much of this conflict plays out in interactions with others or through introspection. Even when resolving the internal conflict, the Heir/Maid’s biggest concern is with their relationships. 

External Conflict

On the outside, they must defend their world from a looming threat. This threat is both to the world order of the setting, and also to the position that the Heir/Maid holds in the midst of their people. 

Unlike the conflicts of the previous “material” classes, the Heir/Maid’s conflict must be resolved diplomatically. The resolution is not one of defeating or conquering, it is one of ameliorating. The outside threat is humanised, and the Heir/Maid finds a way to value the well-being of all parties, leading to a less traditionally climactic ending, but one that is profound all the same. 

The Heir

The Heir’s question to love is that they don’t love at all, and they never plan to. Whether using indifference, or outright aggression, the Heir refuses to deepen their relationships further than what they’re comfortable with. 

The Heir is prone to the Ice Queen or Absent Parent archetype. 

Examples

John Egbert’s duty is to protect the inhabitants of his land from the denizen. While he found them cute when he spent time with them, he is never concerned with their safety or happiness authentically, instead using them as props in his fantasies around Con Air. Outside of these self-centred interactions, he proceeds to forget about them completely. (See my issues with his relationship with friends here.) 

Master Shifu from Kung Fu Panda is another example. He refused to love or care for any of his students after a previous failure. While he did love at one point prior to the start of the movie, during the events of the story, he’s essentially stuck. Even when the safety of the Valley depended on his mentorship of Po, he refused to open his heart to the novice kung fu student. 

End Goal

The goal of the Heir is to learn to love and care for others despite the possibility of getting hurt. It may also be to accept others as they are, instead of holding onto an impossible ideal and ignoring the actual people. 

Master Shifu comes to care for Po and teaches him. He even learns what the best instructional strategies would be for a student like Po, and uses those instead of cookie-cutter methods. When he finally faces the antagonist, he is able to move past his old pains and show love even for Tailung. 

The Maid

The Maid answers the defining question by fully embracing their love for others as part of their identity. Perhaps this identification as being a caregiver and mentor is too strong, as they can become controlling. Their love for others can become possessive and overprotective. They would do anything--maybe too much--for those they love. 

They are prone to the helicopter or smothering parent archetype. 

Examples

Jane Crocker, shown in Homestuck^2, finally breaks free from the control of the Condesce only to show herself as a controlling wife, mother, and CEO. She obsessively monitors the actions of Jake and their daughter to ensure it reflects her image well. While Jane seems to be solely focused on her own image, it’s hard to deny that at some point, she truly loved Jake and she truly cares for her daughter. However, her love for Jake is twisted by jealousy and his own non-committal nature, and her love for her daughter is twisted by a desire to control. 

Evelyn Wang from Everything, Everywhere, All at Once is another example of a Maid. She cares immensely about how she appears in the community and how she appears to her hypercritical and cold father. What started out as love and companionship with her husband morphed into judgemental dismissiveness. The loving and intimate relationship she had with Joy turned into unachievable expectations and attempts to control her life--or at least the optics of it. 

End Goal

The end goal for Maids is to let go of control and image-obsessiveness for things that should be authentic. They must understand that love is ultimately freeing, for both mothers and children. It should not constrict. 

Evelyn finally lets her daughter go while still making it clear that she loves her. She allows Joy to choose how she wants to live her life. She realises that her love is complicated and suffocating, but she still chooses to love. 

Conclusion

Ultimately, both the Heir and the Maid choose to love in healthy, freeing, and powerful ways. They resolve the looming threat to their world through cooperation and understanding, and learn to embrace change. In every case, the Heir and Maid learn to have a nuanced view of good and evil, right and wrong. Everyone has motives for doing things, with problems plaguing their hearts. The power of the Heir/Maid is that they can find the problem within even the most unredeemable of antagonists, and resolve it with them for a new, more loving world.

Greetings my fellow blog visitents and Kung Fu Panda (The sequel is much better) afficonadoes.

Though I may not see you, I can hear you... and your hunger indicater's beeps NOT for food (It would be illogical anyway), but for your yearns...yearns for a loose leaf betrothed from me and my sciento-logical prowesses. So, consider it! (It'll saciate yourselves in the long-con. Trust me.)

Anyway, for all the dwellers of intellegence that decided to stay (Don't worry, there is only a morsel of you), then you are in good luck.

I have currently found a NEW Magnum Opus, one that beeps my moroses, and moroses my beeps.

And trust me, I too cannot hold my urges any further.

As we all may know Kung Fu Panda 2 comes with all it's many, many points, in which it is at the pinnacle of not just having many inctracities (That of which I could buff, with the grace of my face), but also its general story line...which is on a grandeur level, which also makes it an incorpreal contrarian in contrasts as oppose to Cloudy with a Chance of Lettuce.

Especially the main villain of the grand veneer of it, Shen, who is need I say one of the greatest villains of all time... all possible points I can list from the top of my head. But I won't.

Unless you guys don't need me to create a seperate part...in which I explain things at MY pace, at MY own volition.

But I am a conoissieur in logical calculations, and believe you me, I may have to set 'Nice' as part of my default settings. (Which I already do in case you haven't noticed.)

Shen is a physcopath with a likeness to that of the throes of destruction and devestation, in contrast to other life-forms of his time, who were simply enticed by it due to its sheer beauty and irresistable characteristics.

But I believe this was due to a tragic past of Shen's, where he was octracized by his peers while trying to enjoy them... and was turned into a villain in the process.

Why, my reasoning for this is but very simple.

But I do not need reasoning, for I can simply sense it, as well it could sense me. (I don't think you guys would be able to understand anyway, but if you are courageous enough to ask..then woah be to you. I will answer.)

When the prophecy regarding a "Warrior of black and white" is preordained, Shen massacres all panda kin out of a jelous rage.

This is simply because he was moved by their cosanguineity as kin and exterminated all of them on his conquest for new blood.

After being banished by his parents, and this vendetta had Shen develop this unbridaled sense of hatred and was quick to reject those around him.

Not due to fear of love (Which I have seen a serplus amount of times, so I have brute experience), but of a fear of being abandoned again.

I know what you all may be thinking.

And yes, INDEED. I am, in fact, a mastro at emotional intellegence. I knew you'd notice by now. (Which is why you would consider reading anyway.)

I feel like Shen's portrayal as a villain narrativeley could have been done better, so here are my suggestions:

I feel like in his own way, Shen could also be a misunderstood hero of some sorts...he kills for no reason. This doesn't make him look scary, and neither did it petrify me! It just goes to show how far his intillect stems. (Which isn't surprising.)

I like how he did kill Po's mom though.

Because it really brings out the barbarien values within him and the culmination of his being.

He also kills the wolf boss, which shows how truly evil he is (Better way of showing how he chooses to run his own race in my opinion), which was only because he didn't fire at his own montra.

I also think his issues with his kinsfolk really ties into this dillema because it invokes this evil inside of him.

Not pure evil, but also pure sorrow.

I think I would understand how he feels.

As from what I have said from earlier, I am a maestro of emotional intellegence... slack your jaws and watch in aw.

Anyways, thus concludes my hubris on Shen's character, and here are my reviews (All sorted into seperate categories for you, you're welcome):

Writing 7/10 (I could have helped write him better.)

Backstory 10/10 (I think he really is rather relateable.)

Character design 10/10 (Such colors and balance...is fructose to my retnas.)

Due to an instagram muck-up and/or my apparent misunderstanding of how that app works (RIP me and my lack of skill with tech) I didn’t get ahold of this photo from Tsukino Con until just yesterday, but I still really like it so here you go! Photo was taken by instagram user softjoly (who, side note, is not affiliated with tumblr user softjoly as that is a spambot lmao) who also took that other pic in front of those metal grates.

As I’m barging in with this update, I thought now would be a good time to remind y’all/let you know that I do in fact have an instagram, here, and also a ko-fi account here. Cosplay’s an expensive hobby and I am a fool.

Who The F- Is This (AO3) : DCMK, Time Travel AU, a post-canon Conan got send in the past, decides to cause trouble for everyone, while Kid tries to get him back to his right time.

the flowers have water (AO3): MHA, Nana died, and was reincarnated as Inko Midoriya. An exploration of the character of Inko pre- and during canon.

Noisy As The Dead (AO3) (could also be found under the tag “there are many cons to being a one for all user au”): MHA, somewhat of a joint AU with Panda, in that we both ran with the same idea. Following a near death experience, Izuku can sees ghosts. He just wished they would be more mature than this.

Just Remembered. (AO3): MHA, roleswap AU between Rody Soul and Izuku Midoriya. Izuku is part of Humarise, Rody is a hero in training.

Actuals WIP:

Sewermight AU: MHA, A role reversal on the rooftop scene. Aizawa is the one to save Izuku from the Sludge Villain.

Dad For All AU: MHA, Izuku accidentally travels back in time, proceeds to adopts literally everyone.

Reincarnation AU: MHA, OfA interfers with the Reincarnation Process, leading to some characters remembering part of their past lives.

Here’s some facts about Okami and Kawarama’s kids ���

Miu: the oldest and most bold of the 6 children. Wild child at heart that loves a good fight. more here

If you mess with her younger siblings, you’ve messed with her.

Takes the heard on camping trips minus Tora because she’s too young.

Constantly amused with her sisters trolling of men. From Kōmori asking suitors to bring her the most beautiful flower in all the land so she can gift it to Tora to Sora’s damsel in distress act.

Sora (second)

Takes after Okami’s mother in appearance

Strongest of the 6 and intentionally undersells her abilities so people underestimate her.

Trains with their father regularly and considers him her best friend. Tells him almost everything, even things he doesn’t want to hear 💀

Uses the same sunscreen Katsura whipped up for her mother to try and not burn (and is mostly successful)

Loves relaxing on rooftops and eavesdropping (she’ll say she wasn’t, but she was)

Trouble maker. Told Kōmori that Madara looks like a mangy dog when asked what he looked like, ate Tomoe and Nagisa’s lunch, “borrowed” Mito’s dress, and set a few fires on accident.

Obsessed with fire/flames and watching things burn but that her little secret also explains all the accidental fires

Mimics peoples voices perfectly which she uses rather often to cover for which ever sibling decided to run off. Can also throw her voice for further deception.

Loves dressing up her sisters up for special events! Seeing them get complimented makes her a proud older/younger sister 🖤

Also loves dressing up Tomoe as he doesn’t care if she puts make and a dress on him 🥰

Master of information collection and conning desperate older men out of their money

Has a squirrel companion that hides in her pigtails 🐿

Challenges Miu and Akiko to horse races all the time. Losers have to clean the winner’s room

Also very use to Akiko challenging her and having to remind her that she’s the older sister and just as smart.

She just thinks smarter instead of working harder 😤

Chakra Nature: Wind. Can use Wind and fire release

Kōmori (third)

Kōmori’s visual impairment became obvious rather early but she was always encouraged to play and learn like the others.

While glasses helped a bit, they were informed she’d most likely become totally blind at some point in the near future

Kawarama personally asked Tobirama to help strengthen her sensory skills and that’s how she grew her natural talents

Can sense chakras from miles away and notes different villagers by such.

Helped her parents pick her own name at 3

She spends most of her time playing her instruments (Guquin and flute), learning, and enjoying the sun

Or hanging out with the elders because they could use the company and she’s pretty free

Doesn’t fuss over her appearance as she can’t see it anyways, but knows Sora or Miu will tell her if she’s got something on her face or outfit

Hates being pitied. She’s fine and can take care of herself honestly

Very kind and gentle natured but will not tolerate disrespect

Has a dog companion that guards her and he’s not very kind

Sings with Miu and Sora from time to time

Enjoys lightly teasing/joking. It’s all in good fun and she’ll apologize if it hurts their feelings.

Also enjoys storytelling. Would you like a tale of a brave hero? Vengeance? Romance? Or ghost? 👻

Loves the rain. Both the sound and the feeling of it

Tells tales to help Suzaku and Tora sleep at night.

Chakra nature: earth. Can use: Earth, lightening, and water release

Akiko (fourth)

Miss independent since birth. Required the least amount of cuddles and rocking as a baby broke Okami’s heart a little 🥲

Loves all things puppet related and wood crafting (asks Hashirama for wood logs all the time)

Also loves pandas and explosives

Which led to her exploding panda army 🐼💥

Carves panda’s into random trees when bored

She’s very opinionated and witty

Laughs with her whole body and will roll around while laughing

Swears she can keep up with her older sisters and cousins AND out smart them all

Dedicates a LOT of time to studying

Thinks Sora’s an orgess that her parents took in because her ungodly strength when she pins her

Uses shadow clones to get chores done faster

Doesn’t like to admit when she needs her parents attention but they can tell by her asking open ended questions

Grossed out when her parents kiss. Like, why can’t they be normal instead of trying to suck each other’s faces off? Ick.

Still likes when they hug her and kiss her cheeks but she will die before admitting that

Loves animals as much as her mom and plays vet with her

Also learning some poisons on the side from Katsura. So expect a poisonous panda in the future

Chakra nature: earth. Has learned any others yet.

Suzaku (fifth)

His umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck at birth and he was very purple. It’s thanks to Katsura’s quick work, she got their little boy breathing and crying

He cried so much that he turned red (and Okami will say it was the most beautiful sound ever)

It’s so to this that he was named right away, Suzaku. Their own little guardian ❤️

He’s a shy little boy that doesn’t leave his mothers side much. Total mama’s boy, but tries to be brave

Actually afraid of Tobirama and actively avoids him. He will only go around him when he’s with his siblings 😰

Loves Itama though, he is his favorite uncle. He shares sweets with him and pats his head ☺️

Also likes Katsura as she’s not scared by bugs and he thinks that’s cool. Plus she’ll bake him something on the spot if he ask

He’s got his mothers genius and learns quickly

Trains with Kawarama, Miu, and Sora sometimes but gets overwhelmed/wants to quit.

Deadly aim

He doesn’t see his own potential but his parents encourage him to keep trying

Disturbed when anyone talks about liking his sisters. Why would you tell him this? Those are his sisters 🥺

Has a large dog companion

Chakra nature: Wind

Tora (sixth)

After Suzaku’s birth, Okami wasn’t sure she wanted to try for another child and Kawarama was okay with that

They had five amazing kids in his eyes.

Time passed and eventually they gave up on having a sixth… until she found out she was pregnant again.

Once Tora was born, she was immediately spoiled by everyone.

Her big sister’s often volunteered to take her with them on errands and Suzaku wanted to show her his cool toys and techniques he’s learned

Insists on sleeping on Kawarama’s chest at night and will fuss if they cuddle without her

Has bitten Itama’s ankle and no one believes it. Not Tora, she’s so sweet and doesn’t bite anyone yes she did

Mean little thing.

Will throw anything she doesn’t like

First word was dada

Wants whatever her mom is eating all the time, even things she couldn’t eat yet 🥺

Will behave if he holds her. His perfect little angel

May let others entertain others momentarily but just wants to be with her daddy or Tobirama

Clung onto Tobirama when her dad was out of town and he ended up taking her with him places all day. Don’t ask about the toddler, just focus on your training.

Loves flowers 💐

Tim was nervous... today would be his second date after a disastrous first date where his date ended up being kidnapped by an idiotic cult. He admitted it wasn't the best, but this time Drake chose the meeting place, a beautiful cafeteria in a quiet place, or at least he had more security so as not to end badly. He finished getting dressed, it had been a sleepless night studying, attending to certain businesses, certainly being a Wayne and a masked vigilante was not easy, but he was not going to cancel the appointment that it had cost him to ask the blond boy.

-Father asked me to let you know that there will be a meeting in the Batcave in an hour, don't take too long in your...-Damian looked him up and down and then made a funny face-Are you going to an ugly clothes contest? Because you dress so weird and you look like a panda with those bags under your eyes.

-...-Tim ignored his comment, what does he know about fashion? and would just wear a little makeup to hide - tell Bruce I'm not promising anything - down the bleachers quickly hoping not to run into any other human beings.

I get to the cafeteria just in time, Bernard was at one of the tables looking at the menu with interest, Tim took a deep breath and approached smiling-hey-he turned to look at him but then lowered his eyes covering his mouth.

- Tim, why do you dress like that? Not to offend you but it's summer, aren't you hot?

-... do I look that bad? - asked Tim taking a seat in the chair on the right -no, man actually a 9 out of 10 looks great on you but it's not the best for a date when it's hot. Could you at least take off your scarf? I feel suffocated just looking at you-Bernard caressed the soft scarf. Tim felt very hot after those words, although to be fair his date looked good in a black shirt and tight pants Bernard knew how to dress well since he met him at that time he was already very handsome the only difference now is that he had his hair blond a little shorter, he looked thinner and when both had fought together against the bad guys he charged for seconds but he felt very light. Tim took off the light blue scarf and placed it on his legs, at that moment the waitress asked for their orders and they both ordered a cold American with a piece of chocolate cake, while they waited for their order Tim thought it was a good time to apologize for that disastrous first date.

-Bernard, I'm sorry for the appointment that day, it was dangerous to face that guy.

- Tim, why are you apologizing? It wasn't your fault even if you don't do something so risky again, it was also nice to be rescued by the hero I admire.

-Do you mean Robin?

-it was great!

-oh- Tim smiled happily and somewhat embarrassed. the food arrived and they both began to eat, while they made short breaks to talk about some anecdotes from the past, Bernard stared at Tim, the black-haired man's face looked tired and the poorly applied makeup revealed the dark circles under his eyes, he tried to say something but at The next second he fell asleep on top of his food, snoring softly.

Bernard: "..."

the people around began to murmur, the blond sighed and looked at the ceiling. a waiter approached and asked if he needed help, the blond hailed a taxi, paid for dinner and carried Tim on his shoulder. The next day Tim woke up in his bed dizzy, but more energetic than usual, without understanding what had happened he went to the kitchen for a good cup of coffee.

-good morning- he greeted the others and went to the kitchen without paying attention to the mocking look of his brothers, after getting his precious cup of coffee he sat in the dining room with the others.

"......"

"......"

- Ok enough with that reception look, what's wrong?

-Well, if you end up without a boyfriend, it doesn't matter, he's nice, he can keep coming to the mansion if he wants.

-what?

-Look, sleeping on a date that went very well without problems and that no one interfered

Tim:..... Mierda.

Jason: Si, fue divertido ver a la rubia manchada con tu baba cuando te deje aqui, ni siquiera te despertaste cuando te rascamos la cara.
