Hi there! I just wanted to congratulate you for all your hard work!! All of you have made an important account for this fandom, and I hope you're all doing alright
As a treat (and only if you want!!), can you tell me a cool fic you've read but never recommended before? (If not, that's quite alright)
Hello. Here are some fics I've read and enjoyed recently that I don't think we've recommended before, but if we have they are worth recommending again and adding to the #mod faves tag...
Marriage in an Orange Grove by shanimalx (T)
Murmurations is the oldest café in Soho, whose clientele is usually limited to reclusive artists, older men who value peace and quiet, and those who know the employees personally. Crowley is all three. (Aziraphale makes Crowley a cup of coffee, and Crowley kind of wants to marry him for it.)
Imagine how the world could be by HolRose (T)
Salesman Crowley is driving home when he sees a man in obvious distress at the side of the road. He stops and offers him a lift. Little does he know that this compassionate action will change his life forever. This is a human AU that can be read as a stand-alone story without reference to the other works in the series.
Between a Book and a Hard Place by LCwrites (E)
After a very enjoyable one-night stand, A. Z. Fell and A. J. Crowley go separate ways, though memories of each other linger. More than they ought to, considering it was nothing but a casual encounter and they won't meet again. How fortunate for them that their respective work is keeping them busy. Having one of his more salacious novels turned into an audio book should be enough of a distraction for Aziraphale. As should be getting to narrate one of the famous M. Cortese's porn books – pardon: historical erotica – for Crowley.
A Tricky Situation (Entirely of his own making) by sixbynine (E)
"Crowley stood up and went to leave, he turned back just as he opened the door and took a deep breath. “You know I was quite excited to come here and work with you. I enjoyed reading your work. I disagree with a lot of it, but your writing style is lovely and every so often you’d let that privileged rich white boy mask drop and it was fantastic. I was hoping to meet that Professor Fell, but I’m beginning to think maybe he doesn’t exist and I’m going to be stuck with a rude stuck up arsehole for the next five years.” He slammed the door behind him before Aziraphale could respond. Aziraphale gaped, open mouthed, at the shut door." -- Aziraphale is teaching at Kings College London. He's been teaching at King College London for a long time now thank you very much and he does not take kindly to new Professors being sprung on him suddenly. Especially when this one has quite publically made his opinon of Aziraphale's work known. Luckily Aziraphale has an understanding penpal...
Among the Stacks by MeinirRhos (NR)
Nearly a year after Aziraphale returns to Heaven, he vanishes from existence, leaving Crowley bereft on Earth. Just when the demon has finally started to heal and move on with his life, he finds his angel by chance in a library. But Aziraphale has no memory of his life as an angel, or of Crowley. How will our hero cope?
But You Are An Ocean by megzseattle (T)
After Aziraphale's defection, Crowley tries to figure out how to live life for himself.

| Paul Lahote x human!reader
summary: Paul hates you, but imprinted on you. He's not happy about it. 🐺🌲⛰️🌧️
cw: violence, gore, toxic relationship, Paul being an asshole, drinking
an: forever #teampaul.
Part Two
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
You arrived in Forks on a research grant, studying Old Wood Forests for your Masters Degree in Environmental Science. As you conduct your research, you feel more and more at home in Washington, and immerse yourself in the local community and history.
The more you learn about the history of the Quileute Tribe and it's connection to the surrounding ecosystem, the more you dig, until eventually you uncover a secret never meant for human eyes.
The Quileutes are a pack of werewolves, living in secret on the Reservation.
Of course, they quickly figure out that you're onto them, and you're dragged into a harrowing trial with Chief Billy Black and the pack’s alpha, Sam Uley. After hours of deliberation, and you begging for your life, they decide to allow you to live on one condition: you remain in Forks and never publish what you've found.
You agree instantly, grateful to be spared, and the pack brings you into the inner circle, including putting you up in a small house on the edge of La Push.
All seems to have worked out swimmingly, until Emily invites you to the alpha’s home for a bonfire so you can formally meet everyone.
Paul Lahote was livid when he learned that Sam had spared you. An outsider, a traitor. If it was up to him, you would have long ago been forest food, their secrets safe within the soil.
Paul had never met you, but he didn't trust you, didn't like the way you weaseled yourself into his beloved family. You were good as dead, as far as he was concerned.
That is, until he walks into Emily's kitchen, finding you peeling potatoes at the table, laughing at some joke Embry told, and his world imploded.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Six months later
Whoever said imprinting was the world's greatest blessing was full of fucking shit.
Paul glared at you across the fire, nibbling on a s’more and nursing a beer as if you fucking belonged here. Those were his beers. The packs s'mores.
What he would really like to know, is where you got the fucking audacity.
“Think louder, would’ya?” Jacob teased, knocking his shoulder. “She figured out what was making the fern grove sick, she deserves a beer.”
Paul rolled his eyes, throwing back the rest of his beer and stomping off to the booze table. Who cares about fucking plants, anyways?
You flicked your h/c hair over your shoulder, the glossy waves reflecting the orange firelight. Seth cracked some lame joke and you burst out laughing, the sound like the first spring rain.
Pain bloomed in chest, an ache he felt to the marrow, and he had to grip the table to stay upright, had to look away from your pretty smile. A war waged within him. Make you laugh again, or ensure it's your final one?
The table cracked under his grip.
“Lahote,” Sam warned in his mind. “Easy.”
Paul eased his grip, tried to control his breathing, his anger. He'd worked so hard on managing his rage, he wouldn't let you ruin that progress.
You'd already ruined everything else in his life.
Carefully, he stepped away, ensuring the table wasn't about to collapse before sitting back down beside Jacob with a fresh beer. He should just go inside, or out on a patrol. Anything but sit here and suffer your existence.
But something rooted him to the log, periodically scanning the perimeter behind you to ensure nothing pale and sparkly lurked in the shadows.
If anything would have the pleasure of ending your little existence, it would be him.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Paul seemed extra scowly tonight, his handsome face pinched in perpetual disdain.
You laughed a little louder at Seth's decidedly not funny impersonation of Sam, just to see Paul's frown deepen. And it did, his ire as predictable as a clock.
You knew he had imprinted on you, everyone within a ten miles radius knew he imprinted on you, but somehow, it only seemed to deepen his loathing.
If only they'd seen his face when he first saw you.
It was probably cruel of you to exploit his involuntary affliction, but you just couldn't help yourself. He just made it so easy. And it didn't help that he was hot as fuck when the claws came out.
You polished off your beer, enjoying the gentle buzz humming in your veins. A terrible, wicked idea popped into your head.
Moving towards the table, you snagged a bottle of whiskey, the one you happened to know was Paul's favorite, and poured yourself a micro shot. His dark eyes were already on you, glaring a hole into your back. Fighting a smirk, you slammed the shot back. You let out a small, deliberate moan as the alcohol burned its way through the chill lingering on your skin.
Every unpaired wolf perked up a bit at the sound, those whores, and you could practically feel the rage buffeting off Paul as he stared at you.
“You have a deathwish, girl.” Leah teased, offering you another shot. “I like it.”
You grinned up at her, accepting the liquor. Leah flinched then, her smile pulling into a grimace, and she took the shot back before you could drink it.
“You might have a deathwish, but I sure don't.” She swallowed the shot herself, patted you sympathetically on the shoulder, and returned to her spot by Seth.
The rest of the night, the pack continued to snatch drinks from you. You couldn't even sneak a sip, with their ridiculous hearing and sense of smell catching you as soon as the alcohol touched your lips.
Even Seth slapped a shot out of your hand.
“What the fuck!” You shouted at him, your buzz very nearly gone.
Seth winced. “His orders,” he said, tilting his head towards Paul, who was busy tearing into a turkey leg.
I think the fuck not.
You marched over to him, snatched his sweating, unopened can of beer off the table, and jammed your pocket knife into it. With a crack, you opened it and pressed your mouth to the hole, shot-gunning it in ten seconds flat.
A personal record.
As soon as you dropped the empty can onto the ground, you regretted all of your life choices.
Paul was on you before you had a chance to step backwards, one massive hand around your throat, the other gripping your pocket knife.
Terror lanced through you, and you watched his pupils dilate as he started down you, white teeth bared. It took you a moment to register that you could still breathe, that he wasn't actually hurting you. In fact, he'd been handling that poor turkey leg more roughly that he was currently holding you.
“Leah was right,” he growled, the sound raising the hair on your arms. “You do have a deathwish.”
“You don't get to control what I can and can't do,” you bit back, pushing your face closer to his to prove that you weren't afraid.
Even though you definitely were afraid, and a little aroused. But mostly afraid.
His nostrils flared when a pulse of desire made your pussy clench, but you couldn't find it in yourself to embarrassed. You knew you turned him on too. And it didn't help that your bodies fit together too right, a jagged pair of puzzle pieces.
“Paul, back off,” Sam ordered. The pack was frozen around you, afraid that one wrong move would result in you losing your throat.
Paul squeezed a little tighter, letting you feel the power he had in this moment. It would be nothing for him to crush your windpipe, to snap your neck.
He leaned in a little closer, his breath tickling the hair around your ear. “I think I can,” he whispered.
He took a step back, and as soon as his hand fell away, Jacob tackled him in his wolf form, creating several feet of space between you.
Paul shifted then, his grey wolf exploding from within, and knocked Jacob backwards. They began to fight in earnest, growling and gnashing as they tumbled through the grass.
Guilt killed the last dregs of your buzz, and your ego. Why did you have to push him? Nothing good could come of it, and it only made him hate you more.
You took off towards your house before the fighting could get any worse, kicking yourself for being so fucking stupid.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Y/n didn't come around for two weeks after that, except to go the store or the library. Paul would know, your house was his first and last stop on every perimeter check.
He'd been visiting even more the last week or so, your absence an unbearable itch under his skin. It was like missing a front tooth, a constant distraction, and he couldn't not prod at it, even though it hurt.
The feeling of your fluttering pulse beneath his fingers became the rhythm of his life. It was burned into his memory, the way you looked up at him, eyes round with fear, the smell of your arousal reaching like hands to squeeze his brain, lulling the beast in his mind to docility.
Every time he looked at you, he saw his forever. A forever of home cooked meals, laughter, warmth. A life that was stolen from him. A life he didn't deserve.
He refused to be domesticated. Especially not by a nosy, manipulative, stubborn little human like you.
It was better you stayed away. That was what he wanted this entire time. Wasn't it?
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
You couldn't not attend Jacobs birthday party, no matter how badly you wanted to avoid a certain dagger-eyed dime piece.
So you put on a bikini, wide-leg jeans, and an oversized quarter zip, and made your way to the beach. God knows why he wanted to have a bonfire on the beach in fucking October, but it's not like they got cold.
You and Emily would have to stick it out together. Hopefully Sam was considerate enough to pack a blanket.
Everyone was already on the beach, splashing in the frozen water or chatting around the fire. Seth spotted you first.
“Y/n!” He shouted, bounding over to you, shirtless and sandy.
“Are you insane?” You laughed. “It's like 40 degrees!”
“Aw, c’mere.” He wrapped you up in a bear hug, the heat of his skin chasing away the chill already biting through your clothes.
You buried your nose into his shoulder, the tip already numb. “Fuck you guys, seriously,” you mumbled.
Suddenly, Seth was wrenched away from you and you stumbled forward, into a tan brick wall of muscle.
“Where the fuck have you been?” Paul snapped, righting you on the uneven sand before quickly dropping his hands.
“My house?” You answered, quirking an eyebrow. Rarely did he ever address you this directly. Your pulse raced in your chest, terrified, thrilled to see him again. Did he miss me?
“Why?” He demanded.
You couldn't answer him. What were you supposed to say, that you were hiding from him? That you were embarrassed by your own desperation to be close to him? That you craved his attention, his touch, even if it was rough?
At every interaction, he broke you a little bit more. Left you rougher around the edges. But a part of you loved it, craved it. His passion made you feel alive.
“Got sick of your fucking attitude,” you said instead. “Now, if you'll excuse me, I'd like to say hello to the birthday boy.” You pushed past him, trudging through the sand to Jacob, who was watching from the edge of the water with a bewildered expression.
You shirked your clothes as you went, not caring about the cold any more. Your loathing, your hunger, would keep you warm.
Down to your cherry red bikini, you threw your arms around Jacobs neck, pressing a loud, smacking kiss into his cheek. “Happy birthday, Jake!”
He kept his arms wide, chuckling nervously. “Thanks, y/n. I think the water is a little cold for you—”
“Don't care!” You sing-songed, releasing him and wading deeper into the water. It was definitely too cold for you, the bones in your feet already aching and tingly.
“Just don't get your hair wet—”
You dove into the water, the temperature knocking the air from your lungs, making your whole body clench in aversion. You popped up on the other side, splashing an arc of water at him. “I'll live,” you replied.
He shrugged, splashing you back, and you played in the water with other wolves until your lips started to turn blue, your body shivering too hard to stand upright.
“Y/n, out of the water!” Sam shouted from the shore.
“B-b-but I'm h-hav-ving f-f-f-fun!”
“Now.”
“I'm f-f-fin-n-ne!”
Suddenly, you were airborne, strong arms scooping you up out of the water with a thick blanket. You yelped in surprise, looking up to see Paul, still dressed despite being waist-deep in the water, bundling you into his chest with the blanket wrapped around you.
“H-hey!” You protested, a violent shiver making your teeth clack together.
“Another word and I'll drown you,” he snapped, tucking your toes against his scalding hot ribs as he carried you out of the water.
“F-f-fuck y-y-ou!”
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Paul held you close to his chest, your body shaking so hard it was difficult to keep the quilt tucked around you. Your lips were far too blue for his liking, and your teeth were chattering so hard he feared they might crack.
Jacob should have never let you get into that water—no, you weren't Jacob’s responsibility. You were his, as loath as he was to admit it.
You curled into him, the tip of your nose an icecube against his clavicle. “S-s-sorry,” you mumbled.
He looked down at you, shocked.
“For almost killing yourself? Why would I give a shit?”
You fell quiet again, and guilt stabbed him through the chest. He heard your heart rate begin to slow, the cold still taking it's toll. You were so frozen, steam was rising from his skin where you touched, leaving a trail as he carried you to the fire.
He set you down on a pile of blankets as close as he could get to the fire without burning your eyelashes off. He wrapped you up in a dry quilt, then another, and planted himself behind you, wrapping his arms around your shoulders, his legs on either side of yours.
“W-what are you—”
“Not a word,” he growled. You were still shivering, your familiar scent tinged with salt water and traces of Jacob and Seth.
He fought against the jealous rage that stirred in stomach, instead focusing on your heart rate, your unsteady breathing.
The pack circled nervously, unsure if they should intervene. When Seth came a little too close, mumbling something about your clothes, Paul growled, a low, menacing rumble from his chest, and Seth scampered off.
The scent of fear spiked when he growled, and he found himself shushing you, burying his head into the blankets against the back of your neck. It was involuntary, acting on the urge to comfort you before he'd even processed it. But it seemed to settle you, so he remained.
It settled him too, the now rhythmic thump of your heart, your even, almost drowsy breathing.
“Can Emily give her a drink?” Sam asked a little while later through the mind connection, almost at a whisper so Paul didn't startle.
“Yes,” Paul answered, and a few moments later, Emily appeared, passing a steaming mug of hot chocolate in your hands.
The chocolatey smell mixed with your scent was almost too much, so sweet and decadent. He was beginning to melt like the giant marshmallow on top.
“Hey,” you whispered after a few sips, your voice back to normal
He didn't correct you for speaking, his eyes closed as he wallowed in your scent like a dog in the mud.
“Paul.”
“Hm?” He grunted, lifting his head.
“I'm starting to sweat.”
Reality rushed back to him, shattering the haze in him mind. What the fuck was he doing? You fooled him, just like you fooled the rest of them.
He wrenched away from you, springing to his feet. Your scent was all over him, embedded in his skin, his hair. Driving him insane. You drove him fucking insane.
“Paul, wait.” You scrambled to your feet, dropping one of the blankets, flashing him a glimpse of your little bikini as you reached for him. Fuck, how did he forget your were in a bikini?
“Fuck off, y/n,” he snarled, and you staggered back.
“But—”
“The only reason I pulled you out of that fucking water because of you die, I do to. I don't fucking care about you, imprint or not. You mean nothing to me. You're better off getting that through your thick fucking skull.” The words spilled out before he could stop them, brutal and scathing, and he watched your heart break.
Maybe if he left you in a pile of broken parts on the fucking floor, he'd finally be rid of you.
The wolf came then, shredding the last of his humanity, and he took off into the woods, diving through bushes and trees to scrape your scent off his fur.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Paul left you there, broken on the beach. Sam and Embry followed him into the woods, but the others descended on you, concern clear of their faces.
But you shrugged them off and let Emily, Emily only, walk you home.
You cried yourself to sleep, confused, hurt, angry, devastated. You'd felt something when he held you, like he was holding all of your pieces together, whole for the first time in your life, only to smash you apart again.
You didn't understand, couldn't understand, what he was feeling. Why he was so against this connection that was between you. It's not like he could escape it. The imprint wouldn't magically vanish.
You were tethered together, for better or worse.
For the next several weeks, he avoided you like the plague. If you entered the same room as him, he would leave it. If you walked through town, he'd disappear into the woods.
This place you'd fallen in love with was starting to feel like a prison. Both of you were trapped here, orbiting each other like hostile satellites.
Late one night, you were having a glass of wine at Emily's when frantic voices floated through the open window.
Emily was immediately on her feet, rummaging through cupboards, starting a boiling pot of water. A moment later Sam burst through the door.
“Lahote got shot,” he said to her, then ripped the tablecloth off the tables, sending your wine and the dishes flying.
Your heart dropped through the floor. “What—”
“Where?” Emily said, setting her first aid kit on the counter and starting to rip up some bandages.
“Wait—”
“His side, he can't shift back. Y/n, he—”
The others burst into the room next, four of them carrying an enormous gray wolf on their shoulders. Paul.
“Here, set him here.” Emily gestured to the table, and they slowly eased him onto it. “Oh, God,” Emily hissed, turning to grab more bandages.
Jacob grabbed you before you could get closer. “Don’t, y/n,” he said, his hands covered in blood.
Paul's breath was coming out in broken whines, his entire left side slick with dark blood.
“Why can't he shift?” You asked, panic rising in your throat, choking you.
Jacob didn't answer, his face twisted in pain.
Understanding dawned. If Paul shifted, he would die.
You shoved past Jacob, catching him by surprise, and rushed to Paul's giant head, his eyes pinched shut, muzzle stained with gore.
“Paul,” you whispered, wrapping your arms around his head the best you could considering it was the size of your torso, digging your fingers into his thick fur. He was colder than he should be, his heartbeat sluggish.
Sam placed a hand on your shoulder. “Y/n, you shouldn't. He might hurt you when Em—”
You shook the alpha off, clinging tighter to Paul's fur, breathing in his pine-tinged scent. “I don't care.”
Emily returned with an amber bottle, passing it to you. “Four drops on his tongue. No more.” And she set to laying out her supplies.
You looked at the label. Morphine.
“Paul, baby, I need you to open your mouth for me,” you asked, stroking his cheek. “Please, it'll make the pain go away.”
His eyes fluttered open, the richest mahogany, and locked onto your face.
“Please,” you asked again, a tear snaking down your cheek.
His mouth cracked open, revealing the torn, bloody muscle inside.
“That's good, love. Just like that.” You dropped four clear pearls of medicine onto his tongue. “Good boy, thank you.” You gently closed his mouth again, his eyes still firmly locked on you, even as his eyelids began to drop.
You went to pull away and set the medicine on the counter when he loosed a heart-wrenching whine, his whole body shifting on the table.
“Shit! Hold him,” Emily ordered, but he bucked them off again, staring at you.
Realizing, you dropped the medicine and rushed back over to him, throwing an arm over his neck and burying your face in the dense scruff at the base of his throat.
He immediately settled, tilting his chin down to rest against you, his nose pressed into your shoulder.
“I'm going to start removing the bullet,” Emily said to no one in particular. “If he starts to get aggressive, I want her out of here.”
The pack nodded, tightening their grips around him.
His body had just started to go lax form the morphine when Emily started digging for the bullet. You felt him tense, but he held perfectly still, almost trembling with effort.
The pack looked at one another, clearly surprised.
“He can't sit still for a splinter,” Sam muses, eyeing the two of you with a quirked brow.
“Got it!” Emily said, holding the pliers in the air, a crimson hollow point pinched in the end of them. “Less then two inches from his heart,” she said, dropping the bullet into the sink with a clatter.
Paul huffed against your neck, his body relaxing again.
You stroked his head, trying to soothe him. “You did so good, baby. You're going to be alright. Just a few stitches and you'll be able to heal on your own,” you whispered in his ear, even though you knew the rest of the could hear you.
Emily poured alcohol into the wound, and he bucked, a vicious growl ripping from his throat. Jacob yanked you backwards before Paul's fangs found you, Sam grabbing Emily as Paul roared.
“Outside!” Sam ordered, looking at Jacob. Jacob nodded and hauled you out into the cold, shutting the door behind you both.
“No, I need to be in there!” You shouted, fighting against him.
“Paul told us to take you out of there!” Jacob yelled back, and you stumbled away, stunned. “Right after he got shot, he said to make sure you weren't there. And he screamed ‘get her the fuck out of here' just now.”
“But—” You felt your knees sag. You thought for sure he was asking you to come closer…
“You saw what happened to Emily,” Jacob murmured, and you snapped your head back towards him. “Paul wouldn't survive doing that to you, y/n.”
You stared at him, tears in your eyes.
“He hates hurting you. But in his mind, it's the only way to keep you safe.”
“From what?” You cried, frustrated, heartbroken. Another agonized howl rips through the still November air.
“All of this! Us! Him!” Jacob threw his arms out. “When you discovered us, you trapped yourself. When he imprinted on you, he trapped you further.”
“But I want to be here!” You shouted back, voice echoing off the pines. “I want this.” Tears clogged your throat, the anger draining out of you. “I want him.”
Seth opened the front door, the warm light a halo around him. “He's out cold, but shifted back. He's going to be okay.”
You ran up the stairs and into the house. Paul, human Paul, was stretched across the table, a blanket tossed over his lower half. Emily was bandaging his ribs, a thick pad of gauze just to the left of his sternum.
“He's fine,” Emily said, sensing you hovering in the doorway. “A few days of rest and he'll be as growly as ever.”
“You should go home, y/n,” Sam said. “He doesn't need any stress right now.”
Stress. Was that all you were?
You nodded and grabbed your coat hanging by the door, feeling like you'd been shot yourself. Jacob offered to walk you home, but you declined.
You'd had enough for werewolves for a lifetime.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
When Paul woke up, he was alone in his room, the curtains drawn. Memories of that night rushed back to him, the agony, the searing rip of the bullet, your hands in his fur, soft voice in his ear.
“You did so good, baby. You're going to be alright.”
“Paul?” Sam cracked the door open. “You alright?”
“Where is she?” He asked, tugging on a pair of sweatpants.
“Paul—”
He didn't need to ask again, he could feel you through the imprint, his little shadow.
“Lahote, wait—” Sam grabbed him when he went to leave the room.
“What?” He snapped, the need to see you like a beast in his chest.
“She’s leaving.”
Paul's heart stopped. “She..what?”
“She's packing now. Chief said she was free to go if she burned her notes.”
He missed the last part, already running out of the house and into the street. He ran barefoot across town, ignoring everyone shouting from him, both outside and in his head.
Finally, he saw your little house at the edge of the beach, your car in the driveway, trunk open and piled with boxes.
No, no, no, no.
He vaulted over your stairs, barreling through the door.
⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘⫘
Your front door slammed open, the top hinge breaking with an audible crack. You dropped the books your were packing, looking up to find Paul racing towards you like a heat seeking missile.
“Paul, what—”
“Shut up, y/n,” he growled. His hands came up to your face, grabbing you and tugging you towards him. His mouth collided with yours, rough and desperate. Strong hands hauled you closer, crushing you against his bare chest in a bruising grip.
Your lips parted under his, your hands grasping for purchase along the planes of his chest as you kissed him back. His lips were surprisingly soft, supple and beautifully shaped, though nothing about the kiss gentle. Your lungs screamed for air, your whole body burning, burning, burning alive for him.
He wrenched himself away, holding onto the door frame like a lifeline. His chest heaved, eyes wild and dark. The frame cracked under his hands.
“Are you okay?” You asked, breathless. He still had bandages wrapped around his torso.
With one hand, he ripped them clean off, revealing nothing but a dimple of scar tissue. “If you want to go, I won't stop you. But I couldn't let you leave without…” his voice trailed off, gaze fixed firmly on your puffy, spit-slick lips.
You took a stuttering breath, tears brimming along your lash line. “I want you to want me to stay,” you admit, barely above a whisper.
He stared at you, tracking each tear as they rolled down your flushed cheeks. His expression softened, eyes round, lips slightly parted. “I want you to stay with me, but you're better off—”
You flung yourself towards him, trusting he would catch you, and he did, wrapping your legs around his waist. “I'm not,” you said, raining kisses across his cheeks, over his lips, his eyes, his jaw. “I'm not.”

Love Sucks VI. The Kiss
Tumblr media
Vampire!Steve Harrington x fem!reader
He’s just a gloomy, little guy.
The Masterlist 🩸
It had taken Steve a long time to garner control over his new body, his teeth. The razor sharp canines that cut and sliced his gums when he was hungry, when he was tired, angry, overwhelmed. It took time to learn how they worked, how to conceal them, how to override the reaction, to keep them hidden under his lips. Months, years, maybe centuries - Steve had forgotten.
But eventually, it became a little easier and they didn’t hurt as much and Steve stopped cutting himself on them, sliced fingers a thing of the past. But Steve had never kissed someone, not like this, not with them.
Not dead.
He’d know you for months now, the time ticking over like a new kind of season, one he felt like he hadn’t seen in so long. You were like summer, warm and soft and sweet and achingly pretty. You smelled like honey, like citrus groves in the sun, like the melancholy scent of sunscreen rubbed on freckled shoulders, like chlorine and pool days. Steve thought he’d never loved someone as much as he loved you.
He wanted to show you. He wanted to do more than bring you pocketfuls of flowers, he wanted to more than hold your hand. He didn’t want to hurt you though. So when you say on your knees in the middle of your bed one day, just as summer turned into fall, your eyes earnest and shy, Steve wasn’t sure what to do. You were leaning in close, lashes fluttering, nose almost brushing his own and Steve forgot all about the book in his lap.
He gulped, swallowed thickly and clumsily and his mouth watered at the sight of you so close. He could see the tiny marks upon your skin, freckles and silver scars, a blemish you’d tried to cover with a little concealer, the shine of your lip balm on your mouth. He could smell the citrus groves on you, sunscreen swapped out for a cocoa butter lotion, like cinnamon and oranges.
His fangs split his gums, tongue tasting like pennies - just for a second - and he groaned, backing away from you until his shoulders hit the wall and he was shying into the corner. Steve saw the hurt in your eyes, the rejection shining there. He groaned again, this time much more frustrated than before. He licked at his gums, shuddering at the catch of his fangs. More blood, a drip, drip, drip.
“It’s not— it’s not you, it’s not like that—”
You sniffed, waving a hand between the two of you, between your watery eyes and his feeble words. “It’s okay, Steve, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have—”
“I want to kiss you,” Steve blurted, his words fumbling, desperate. “I do. I want to kiss you. A lot.” He swallowed again, metal going down his throat, iron on his tongue. He pointed to his teeth, a fingernail napping against one, white and sharp. “I just don’t know how.”
You smiled, relieved, the sting of rejection fading the same way the sun did. “Let’s talk about it then, yeah?”
It’s how you ended up on the boy’s lap, as innocent as the position could be. Your bedroom was darker now, a faint glow from your lamp casting Steve’s skin in a pink-peach glow. He looked more alive than he’d ever felt. His hands were chaste, curling around the tops of your knees and he nodded as you moved a little closer, your nose brushing his and Steve held his breath in anticipation. His fangs cut a little more, stretching from his gums until they ached and he was sure the pain would only lessen if he got his lips on you.
A peck. That’s all it was. A quick, two second press of your lips against his own, closed mouthed and fleeting.
Steve could taste fireworks, he was sure of it. Colour and smoke and fire and glitter. Maybe it was in his chest, maybe something inside of him had burst. Maybe it had given him a new heartbeat.
“Okay?” You asked, your word barely a breath and you’d pulled back enough to glance down at Steve through your lashes, your own heart racing and you were sure the boy would hear it. “Was that okay?”
Steve nodded furiously, unable to hide the excitement in his eyes, the faint lilac-rose flush on his cheeks. His gums were stinging but he moved his hands from your knees to your waist, squeezing there. “Mhm,” he hummed. “Keep going.”
So you grinned and leaned in again, lips brushing his again, once, twice, bottom lip grazing over his top and Steve let out a gasp, a sigh. He parted his lips, eager to taste you a little more and you hissed when one fang caught you. Just a little, just slightly, no more than a drag but Steve froze.
You shook your head, desperate to keep kissing him, to keep feeling him. You let your hands cradle his face, fingers tracing along his jaw and you murmured sweet nothings, soft nonsense that you hoped would calm the boy. “No, no, hey, it’s okay. Steve? I’m fine.”
You let Steve drag his head back, only just, his wide and panicked eyes scanning your face, your mouth. No blood. No cuts. He blew out the breath he’d been holding, squeezed at your waist again.
“Again?”
The boy nodded.

Danny/Jason, Orange, Apricot Tree
@Dreams-of-skaia
“Stupid Bruce and his stupid rules in this stupid house,” Jason grumbled as he stomped through the yard, as far away from the house as he could manage.
Okay, maybe not as far as he could manage, but the grove of trees where he couldn’t see the manor anymore was good enough. He tossed himself down at the base of one of the trees. Idly, he picked at the bark, digging his fingernail under a loose bit. “Just want my mom.”
Thump.
An apricot landed on the ground next to him. It was bright, bright orange against the dirt and moss. Jason picked it up curiously and turned it over in his hands.
Thump.
A second landed right where the first had been.
“You’re supposed to eat it.”
Jason shouted (it totally wasn’t a screech, shut up) and hurled the apricot where the voice had come from. He watched as it sailed right through the boy lounging in the tree.
“…what?”
“Dude, not cool! I’m sharing here!” the boy said, floating down from the tree. His white hair seemed to defy all gravity for a moment before it settled over half his face. “Hi, I’m Phantom!”
“…Jason.”
-
“Jason! You came back!” Phantom’s smile was blinding.
-
“Hide and seek, and none of your ghost shit,” Jason said.
“Winner gets what?” Phantom asked dubiously, though he came down from the tree. Jason didn’t know if he lived there or what, but he was always around when Jason came to visit.
Jason smirked and held up the plastic wrapped prize. “One of Alfred’s cookies.”
“So in,” Phantom said with a grin.
-
“Jason!” Phantom called, swooping down from the sky. “Let’s go flying!”
-
“You’ve read it?”
“And liked it,” Jason said and passed the book back. “Why are you reading it?”
“Homework.”
“What the fuck does a ghost have home work for?”
Phantom looked way, rubbing the back of his neck. There was a flash of white and then instead of a cold spot leaning against Jason’s shoulder there was warmth.
“Danny. My other name is Danny. I’m only half ghost.”
-
“Jason! Dude! I went to space!”
-
“And he just doesn’t get it! I didn’t do anything! And the guy was scum! So many people are safer now that he’s dead. Why is Bruce sorry about it?”
“Hey, come sit down,” Danny said. He patted the dirt next to him.
Jason huffed but took the spot. He twisted and tucked his face against Danny’s shoulder, glad the other was human right then. He needed the warmth. In a whisper he asked, “Why does Bruce care more about him than me?”
-
“Jason! …Jason? Hey, Jason… where are you?”
-
Jason tried not to fidget as he stood beside Bruce on the little raised platform in front of the press. Bruce Wayne’s missing son, back from the dead, Jason thought bitterly, of course ever press who could take a train, car, or plane was there.
Something caught Jason’s attention and before he knew it his hand snapped out to catch the thing that had been sailing towards his head.
It was an apricot.
He turned it over in his hands.
It was bright, bright orange.
It couldn’t be….
“Jason!”
Did some prompts, here is the masterpost.

Some stories gets told: The start
Pairing: OPLA!Roronoa Zoro x reader
Summary: After the duel with Mihawk, reader can't seem to leave Zoro's side while he is fighting between staying alive and reaching for an old friend
A/N: the way I am putting so much efforts in this is crazy, literally watching scenes in loop to understand how to add things and if they actually work in the original setting of the live action. I mentioned de@th a couple of times but briefly considering how long this is getting. Created a new village on Gecko Island for the sake of this ff Miro Village does not exists in the world of one piece, if it does I'm a lucky mf lol.

Tumblr media
If three days ago people would have told her she was going to fight Kalahadore and his minions, she would have laughed at her faces; if three days ago people would have told her she was going to enjoy a trio of wanna be pirates she would have laughed it off saying that the only crew she was going to join was the same as Yasopp's; if three days ago people would have told her that she was going to face one of her greatest fears, she would have joked about it, but there she was after a fight with Kaya's butler in the company of three wanna be pirates.
The bar was filled with pirates and some Marines, or so she thought. Her blurry vision was not of help, everyone dressed in blue or white, or white and blue, was a possible enemy that was waiting for the right time to strick an attack and bring them back to headquarters.
-...sea slug.-she heard the swordsman say, confused to why he was talking about sea slug, which, by the way, she thought were very cute, she asked for some explanations. Nami only pointed at Usopp, dancing with his usual grace and talent, if that could even be called grace or talent.
-Look at him. Like he doesn't have a care in the world.- the orange haired girl stated, she wanted to replay, to say that in reality Usopp was just putting on a facade, but who was she to spill secrets that were not of her owns? No one, so she just kept quite and went back to her drink. A not well made one on her humble opinion, but at least she was able to drink and have fun.
The girl, once again that night, went back into her own thoughts forgetting she was in company but even if she wanted to have a conversation with the two in her heart she knew it wasn't a good idea. Not when drunk and knowing such state meant spilling everything that was on her mind.
-..you drink.- that was the key word that got her attention, if drinking was in the equation she wanted to be part of whatever they were doing. -You guess something about me, I drink.- he said pouring some of the rum in three little glasses.
-uuhhh I want to play.-
-Not now.-they both said in unison.
-First round is between me and the thief.- Zoro said not taking his eyes off of Nami which smirked at the boy.
If her attention was on Usopp and having her drink, now it was on her two new friends having a drinking game.
-I bet yu grew up in a big city, running schemes, hanging out in swanky bars like this one.-Zoro was the first one to try and guess under Nami advice, she gave him a second smirk. Y/N imagines the swordsman got it wrong from how the girl next to her reacted. And she was right.
-You might be thirsty.-Nami said. -I grew up in a small village. Barely a village. Just an handful of houses in the center of a tangerine grove.- Y/N started to picture how beautiful that might have been, that once again her mind alienated her from the conversation.
Y/N didn't know how long she was gone in her little world, but when she was back to reality second round was on, and this time she wanted to partecipate, but aparently the universe didn't want her to play that Usopp came back at the table with "his new best friend" or whatever.
-What did you say your name was again?-he asked sitting next to Nami.
-Which one of you is Monkey D. Luffy?-Y/N noticed Nami trying to get some informations out of the new nameless guy, asking who wanted to know such a question.
-You are Dracule Mihawk.- the name didn't ring any bell to Y/N, she had never heard that name, or at least while she was intoxicated from all the alcohol she had, the name was completely new to her ears.
-I have business with your captain. If you know what's good for you, you'll hand him over.- she noticed the man didn't like to beat around the bush, he just wanted to get to Luffy.
-We don't know anyone named Luffy. Right, guys?- Y/N looked at Nami confused.
-What do you mean we don't know him? He came here with us.- she turned to the elegant dressed man and told him that Monkey D. Luffy was somewhere around the Baratie but she didn't know exactly where.
-You are unbeliavable.-
-What? Is true he was with us and now he is not.- she defended herself, the two of them started to bicker: Nami trying to explain to her friend why she was supposed to lie, but their attention was back at Zoro when they hard him saying Mihawk, was it Mihawk?, she didn't care much, what she cared about was why for the East Blue did he say that the man was going to die the very next day.
In that moment Y/N was sober in an instant, her brain was back to function normally and so her body. She moved forward, motion followed by the girl next to her, she wanted to understand fully what was happening, maybe she heard wrong. Maybe Zoro was just playing around but even if she had known the man for less than a week she could tell he never joked, at least not about somo random guy dying.
-I, Roronoa Zoro, challenge you to a duel to the death.-
-To the what now?- she said as a reflex, it was not like she meant to say out loud but it happens and the fact that Mihawk was staring at her was not helping her nervouness to settle down. The man turned back almost immediatly letting the green haired swordsman know he never heard of him, implying how small of a fly he was in his eyes.
-They call me the Demon Pirate Hunter. But my lifelong dream it to best you in single combat and become the greatest swordsman in the world.- now that is a great dream compared to hers, that just wanted to live numerous adventures and write about them.
Y/N started to second guess if starting such a journey was even worth it, she was surrended by people with amazing dreams, even Usopp had a better dream than hers. She shook the thoughts away, now she had to more important matter to care about.
Once the challenge was accepted and the time was set Mihawk left and she was on her feet in an instant, she tried to say something but the words seemed to be stuck in her throat. She was speechless, Zoro did not just challenged someone that, for what she got from their conversation, is the most powerful and skilled swrodsman out there.
-You just have signed up your death sentence, you idiot.- she said and left to head back to the Going Merry.
Zoro was polishing his swords when Usopp came back with Luffy behind him, Y/N was silently listening to the conversation happening in the room, not really knowing how to handle the situation. Sure wasn't her friend, how could he be after a day they have known each other? But she didn't want him dead already.
Words of the conversation came and didn't so her brain didn't process half of what they had been talking about, she just knew Nami was trying her best to change Zoro's mind.
It was after Luffy and Usopp left the room that Zoro spoke directly to her that night, asking why she was still there.
-The promise.- she had heard that part, his dream was a promise made to someone; he was going to die just for a promise he made in the past. -did you made it to your friend?- he didn't answer but his body language told her everything she wanted to know. -in that case, I hope you are not going to die. Good luck.- she said walking outside ready to go and try to have some good sleep.
Waking up the next morning felt like a task, her head was pouding so much that if she had too many thoughts her head was going to explode in milion pieces for the lack of space. Trying to stand up from her hammock without falling was another task she didn't know how she managed to carry out, her legs feeling like jelly pudding but she managed to stay on her feet and following the boys outside, after wearing a pair of sunglasses.
The duel started and Y/N wanted to go back on the ship. She didn't want to see Zoro lose, she believed Zoro was a strong fighter and very much the most talented swordsman she ever knew but if his opponent had decided to use a tiny sword that looked like more like a knife, there was a high chance his friend was going to die in the worst case scenario.
The first time the weapon inflicted a scar on Zoro, Y/N gasped and hold onto Usopp to not fall butt flat on the ground for the scare it gave her.
-Why don't you retreat?- Mihawk's voice was cold, dry of any type of emotion when he spoke to him.
-I can't.-
-He can't.- a whisper, taken away from the wind in an istant, not Usopp nor Luffy behind her heard what she said and she was glad. She didn't want to explain herself, not right now.
-Or my dream will be lost forever.- and this is when things got for the worse. The swordsman took out Yoru, the sword he carries on his back and there was a fraction of seconds after the collision between the weapons where it felt like time stopped for good. Then the glenging of Zoro's swords hitting the ground broken into pieces. Y/N gasped, holding tighter on her best friend's arm.
The green haired boy sheated his good sword in place, opened his arms to form a T with his whole body. Tension grew in the air, everyone knew what was going to happen.
While the rest of the crew gave a glance towards each other she couldn't. Her eyes, even if weakened by the bright sun rays, couldn't leave the form of the boy that was about to die in a second now.
-ZORO- Luffy was the first to react, in a second the boy with the straw hat was next to his first mate, hoping to not see him dying in his hands. The conversation him and Mihawk had came in and out Y/N ears, she was focused on praying for the boy to not die.
Usopp was next, he run to his friends' side, pulling her with him in the process, she tripped loosing the grip on his best friend and falling on the ground. Nami tried to help her up, asking if she was okay but she was just able to keep silent.
It was just like when she was a kid and her father had died; it was like when she was a little girl and saw his first friend die, it was as if death was following her wherever she was going collecting people she loved one after the other. Her nails became such an important thing to stare at, she couldn't stand the sight of the pirates around Zoro, trying to speak comforting words that he was going to be okay.
He is not going to be okay, she thought, how could he? He had lost already too much blood and the more they were staying there doing nothing the more he was going to be more on the other side.
It was Nami that brought everyone back to reality and started to shout orders left and right. She asked the boys to take Zoro from the arms while she and Y/N would hold him from the legs.
Everything became a race with time, the more they wasted the more likely was for Zoro to die of blood loss. The four of them put him on the table of the kitchen; Usopp started to run around trying to find some towels or everything that could come in handy; Nami checked on the wounds; Luffy started to space out, every type of noise started to fade out and Y/N didn't know what to do, once again in her life she didn't know how to save another life.
-Someone...- the (your hair color) haired girl knew what she had to do, if no one was of any help she had to find someone that could be. She sprinted outside heading back to the resturant, they had to have a doctor or some sort of thing, didn't they? If that was not the case she was just unlucky.
Entering the resturant she clumsly tried to remember where was the kitchen, the place wasn't that big but in her mental state it was going to be hard remembering her own name.
When she found the door she rushed in, getting the chef and waiter's attention. The blond guy smirked, ready to flirt with her but noticing the worried expression on her face he just asked her if everything was fine.
-Nothing is fine.-she catched her breath for a moment. -Zoro got... He has a very pretty bad sword wound we need a doctor.- please tell me there is one on board, please please please. Her eyes were staring at the owner of the establishment and her face dropped when he said that the closest one was two days from there. Just my luck.
-I can't help you. Hope your friend makes it.-
-No, please you have to help us, please. Maybe there is a doctor on...-
-Ehy, where do you think you're going?- she wanted to punch the chef, he was totally ignoring her call of help and cared more where his waiter was going than on the live or death situation she presented him.
-To help her friend.- said Sanji
-Brunch is not gonna prep itself.- he reminded him. She was totally going to punch him if he ignored once again what was happening.
-You always told me to feed anyone who's hungry.- she heard him saying while looking around the room. -I don't see how this is any different.- he added.
The owner of the resturant sighed, realizing that he had no other choice but try and do somethig to help the dying kid.
-Fine. Bring me my kitchen knives and a bottle of our best whiskey. And a fresh yellowtail from the cooler. Bigger the better.-he ordered and started walking outside. Sanji was confused, why would Zeff need a yellowtail? -Just do it already.-
Y/N walked them to the Merry and once she pointed the direction of the kitchen, she let them go in first. She wanted to stay away from there, she didn't want her bad luck to linger over Zeff while he worked on Zoro's wounds.
It had been some time since the two chefs came to stich the swordsman up so when she saw the chef leaving the kitchen she jumped on her feet asking how her friend was doing. Zeff assured her the guy was resting but only time could have told if he was going to live or not.
She walked inside meeting eyes with Usopp, Luffy stop tending on Wado and looked at her, giving the girl a forced smile, and she did the same. She was in no shape for smiling sincerely.
-How is he doing?-her tone was almost inaudible if it wasn't for the lack of noises.
-He is resting now, we are hoping for the best.-Usopp answered, she looked in the direction of Nami's room but then changed her mind. She didn't want for her bad luck to make things worse.
Usopp noticed. He always did. He had know her for a long time now and could read her like an open book. He knew what she had to go through, she had told him, trusting in his vow to not say a thing.
-You can go and talk to him. Maybe he would like to hear from a more gentle voice.- he joked.
-I heard that.- that made her laugh a little and she made a note to herself to thank her best friend for the joke.
-But...-he started again, Y/N stopped him, it was fine. She was going to stay in her room for the time being hoping that everything was going to get better.
-What's up with her?-Asked a worried Sanji looking the girl dissapearing from his view. After she had left the cook tried to get some info out the sniper but the man brushed it off lying that he wished to know as well.
Entering her room she locked herself in, not wanting people in for now, she wished for some alone time.
She went to the little desk and turned on the snail radio searching for a station worth listening to hear. Every station she picked were talking about some piracy activity around the East Blue or the New World, some had music but nothing that was of her taste. Her patience was running short, nothing was good enough, growing impatience she took the snail and throw it away.
The object made a loud noise that had been heard downstairs for sure, but she didn't care. She really didn't. She got herself under the blanket, cold running throught her body even tho the weather was pretty warm.
It took her nothing to fall asleep, and to be surrended by her nightmares coming back to make her sleep difficult. Between the faces that she was used to see screaming at her, putting the blame on her a new was added to the crowd: Zoro's. He wasn't talking like the others, he was silently looking at her dissapointment all over his features. Y/N tried to apologize, but words couldn't come out, they were stuck making her choke on air.
-Z...-nothing, her throat felt dry, like the ground back in Syrup Village during the drought. She felt powerless as usual. I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, she wanted to apologize but it was hard when the only thing you can do is breath.
Breating, the only thing she was able to do was to breath but with time she found herself having an hard time doing that as well, dropping on the ground. Tears creeped out her eyes, watering her eye line but she tried her best to fight the urge to cry her eyes out.
She woke up covered in sweat and sighed asking herself when was she going to stop having nightmares or was she going to live like that forever? If that was the case she hoped the sea was going to take her as soon as possible, before she was going to lose her mind.
After a quick shower and a change of outfit she tippy toed outside her room making sure no one was around she headed to check on Zoro. She was happy to see they were alone in that moment.
She closed the door behind her and for a moment she pondered if it was a better idea go back to her room and stay there untill her friends were back, no she decided to keep Zoro company for a while. Maybe she didn't really know what to say, but the words were going to come at some point, wouldn't they?
She moved the chair closer to the bed he was resting on, glanced for a while his hand. Was oaky for her to hold it? Was he going to even feel it? She didn't know what to do, she had found herself in that position countless of times and yet it was just like the first time.
-Zeff told me it is a good idea to talk to you but honestly I don't even know what to say.- she thought she was sounding stupid, who on the seven seas starts a conversation like that? Her for sure. -Usopp hasn't always been my best friend, I had one before I met him. She was older than me, not much older, just two years of diference.- she smiled. -I was new to Miro Village. The first two months she was really mean to me so I would avoid her most of the times, even thought she would find ways to bully me so I gave up. She did everything in her power to make me upset, she blamed everything on me to get me in trouble like that one time she stole an entire cart of fruits and told the major it was my fault. He had to call in my parents, they wanted to talk to my dad about my behaviour but little they know he was dead. He had died some weeks prior I moved there, the journey wasn't that long since I used to live nearby but no one knew, how could they? Is not like I talked about it nor anyone cared to ask why a lonely little girl walked miles to get there, they were just happy there was someone doing the jobs no one wanted. She apologized for how she treated me but to be honest with you it wasn't that important, she was the only one that paid attention to me, yes you might argue it was not the best way but when you are a kid that goes unnoticed you kinda of like it when someone talks to you, even if is just to make fun of you.- she took a deep breath, now it came the hard part. -We started to get closer and closer until one day pirates raided the village, they took her because she was trying to protect little ol' me. They killed her on the spot and I was going to follow her if it wasn't for a random citizen pumbing into the pirate. It gave me the window to run away and I found shelter in Syrup Village where I met Usopp. Sometimes I see her in my dreams, she is always mad at me because I ran away and I didn't help her, sometimes I think back at...-
Someone was on board, she could tell, checking who was she felt safe seeing her captain. Luffy walked past her ignoring her presence, not because he didn't like her, for all the seas if that was the case she couldn't even have thought on putting a single foot on his ship, the captain had to fix the problem first thing first.
-Hey, Zoro. You sure missed a big fight. Those fishman guys were though. You would have loved it.- she smiled, knowing that was 100% so true. -...great dinner. All of us sitting around together, listening to Usopp's stories. Only I kinda messed it up. And now I lost Nami.- schock was painted all over Y/N, what was he talking about? Losing Nami? How? When? Why?
-...but I know what to say now, and is so simple. I need you, Zoro. I need you to wake up.- the girl felt ashemed, she wasn't able to say those simple words, indeed went on about her childhood friend that died to protect her. She was glad that her captain got the courage to say those words.
-You gonna keep talking, or let me get some sleep? Geez, you people really like to talk uhm?- Luffy jumped on top of Zoro, Y/N was only able to stare at the two boys in front of her. He was alive, how? She was pretty sure he was done for. She thanked whoever decided to let him live.
Luffy hugged his first mate, making him groan out of pain.
-Luffy, Luffy get off you are hurting him.- the girl said and before she could help the straw hat pirate down he was already on his feet.
She was now standing next to Luffy, looking at Zoro with a small smile on her face.
-I had the strangest dream that Nami left.-
-She did.-
-What do you mean she did? Why?-
-It's my fault. She left...- he started but Zoro cut him off.
-No, you didn't do anything wrong. You acted like a captain.- Luffy couldn't understand, if he did actually act like a captain, why was the crew falling apart more and more? -No, it's not. I, Roronoa Zoro, vow to stand by your side from now until the end. Until we find the One Piece or die trying.- he kept on with his vow and Y/N could only admire the boy for that. She started thinking if she was in any position to vow eternal loyalty or if her presence on the Going Merry was just temporary, she hoped not for the latter.
-so what do you say?-
-What?-
-Do you want to be part of my crew as a loyal member?-she was taken aback, no one had ever asked for her opinion on important metters, she grew up following orders. If she was told to do something her only concern was to carry on the task, no question asked, but now? Now she was given the chance to choose: eaither stay on board and become a part of the Straw Hat pirates, or leave and starting fresh a new life somewhere else.
-If you accept me, I'll be honored to follow you and protect this crew and the one in needs.-
-Of course I accept you, why would have I asked to join in the first place? Now...- the three of them got interrupted by Usopp screaming and happy to see his friend awake.
-I wasn't worried for a second.-
-Yeah, not worried at all, in fact I was the one...-
-HE IS ALIVE.-he said raising with such force his hand and Zoro's in the process, making the wounded guy groan out of pain.
-LUFFY STOP. - she separeted the two, taking Zoro's hand in hers. -For all the seas, you are going to give him an embaracing death one of those days I am telling you.- she was still holding his hand when the green haired swordsman cleared his throat to get her attention. -Sorry.-
-So, now what we do? Plot a curse to the Grand Line?-
-No, not yet.- was his answer.
-But I thought we were going after the One Piece?-
-We are, but we can't do it without our whole crew.- she smiled, knowing exactly where he was going with that. First mission before heading to the Grand Line: getting Nami back.
-Great, now you two start getting everything ready. I am going to change his bandage.-
-I can do...-the captain started.
-I am not leaving the first mate under your care. You keep treating him like a doll. Now please let get ready to leave.
-I can do it myself.- he groaned trying his best to stand up, but failed.
-dude, you can't even seat without help. Now shut up and let me help you.- he let a small "fine" not sure about the whole situation but it was either that or groaning every two seconds. And as much as his ego screamed at him that it wasn't to be that bad, he gave up and thought that maybe he really needed a little bit of help.

Treasure Treasure! Masterlist
[One Piece Live Action] Sanji x Reader
COMPLETED
**FULLY EDITED 20/09/24**
Summary:
"I'm not a mind reader Monkey D. Luffy."
"No! You're a dream reader! And that's even better!"
-----------------------------------------
As a child you were told eating the Treasure Treasure fruit was the stupidest decision you could have ever made. It was pointless, offering no additional skills to assist or support the Supreme Commander's family or scientific endeavours. As useless as the overly emotional boy you were assigned to follow and serve, branded with the number 3 with a line scored through it.
But, as you lay in a courtyard, surrounded by marines vying for your capture and execution, and stared up at the grinning boy in a scruffy straw hat, you realised no.
There were much much stupider decisions to be made.

More OGB sketches based on recent experiences:
*When it was raining recently in SoCal, I saw a tiktok where a high school student was showing a flooded hallway and people who have never been to an outdoor Californian high school were commenting in disbelief that we considered a sidewalk with a roof a hallway (which yes we do; its California)
Tumblr media
*My lunch lady friend had the epiphany that despite huge generational changes, high schooler behavior remains a constant and she was serving to kids who reminded her of herself when she was in high school. My only response was “damn I cant believe Bowling for Soup was right”
Tumblr media
* Apparently her high school has a night guy. Nobody knows what he does

A Spectral Mother
For week 2 of Wyllvember [Monster Manual].
I decided to mirror my choice of Ulder and Wyll for week one with Francesca and Wyll for week two. My initial post for Francesca is here.
As we know there are inconsistencies in wyll's lore (specifically his mom telling him about the wilden oak tree but dying during childbirth) which is due to the less than stellar treatment our favorite warlock has gotten from his writer. However I decided to use that to hc that his mom became a ghost because she wanted to see him all grown up.
So my references for this piece:
Top left hand panel is Mother and child in an orange grove by Virginie Demont. The pose I used for Francesca in the upper right panel is Mother and child by Adolphe Jourdan, while the pose Ulder is in is Father feeding his baby by Arthur Sarnoff (who did the famous dogs playing poker painting known as Jack the ripper). The middle one is based on two paintings by Eugene de Blaas, one I had to track down because the original picture I used was based on something else. The first painting is a woman with a basket of fruit and the second is boy eating an apple. The bottom left is based on Two girls smiling by Carl Bloch (who did the famous and meme-d on paintings 'The Sermon on the Mount' and 'In a Roman Osteria') The bottom right is based of three different paintings: Der Brief (The Letter) by Berthold Woltze; Lost in thought by Ernest Anders; The discovered love letters by Carl Rudolph Sohn. So that's nine refs. Jfc.
Also I put flower symbolism because yes. I thought about adding flowers to each of these but thought against it because as you can see nine paintings I referenced. Anyway last panel in the vase on the window you can see the following: Adonis flower (Painful recollection, sorrowful remembrances); Browallia ( Can you bear poverty); Nasturtium (Patriotism, conquest, victory in battle; heroism); Red spider Lily (abandonment, loss, separation, death and the cycle of rebirth. It's commonly referred to as the Flower of Death); Pink Carnation (A woman's love, a mother's love; I'll never forget you)
(the fic might be late for this one - I'm being kidnapped unexpectedly flown to the other side of the country to babysit my cousin)

this might like seem strange or not a very forward idea but can you do qiu and tamarack with a reader who has a bunch of chalk? like they go outside and just use their chalk all the time?
I decided to make headcanons out of this, lmk if you meant a Drabble!
Qiu Lin x Reader, Tamarack Baumann x reader
Them with an MC who uses lots of chalk
Fluff, Platonic/could be romantic
———————
Them seeing your chalk for the first time:
- Tamarack learned this fun fact on a Sunday afternoon
- Honestly, it’s surprising she didn’t find out earlier
- There were no plans with the boy’s club that day, no shopping to do, and not many ideas in your head
- So you went to your last resort; Chalk.
- A while back, on a boring shopping trip with your mom before even Golden Grove, you spotted a large bucket of chalk. Not only that, a cheap large bucket of chalk
- One cheap enough for your money to afford on your own! So your mom ended up letting you buy it
- Anyway, back to that sunday
- You were currently drawing some mushrooms you had seen in the forest the previous day along with other doodles
- Until Tamarack popped up
- She had been walking out to go to the forest. She was going to ask if you wanted to explore around until she peeked over your shoulder and saw your doodles
- Let me tell you, she lit up.
- “That looks so cool!” She said. You two spent the rest of the day doodling away on the sidewalk
- Qiu had found out when he had returned home from Darren’s house to find you and Tamarack huddled over a bit of the sidewalk
- Honestly, you looked like you were scheming.
- So he, of course, asked what you were doing.
- To which you and Tamarack revealed your masterpiece of pastel pink and yellow and blues.
- After a few compliments from Qiu’s end, he ended up joining in till dinner!
- Which is one of the few times you’ve seen him so far without his gloves (he didn’t want chalk on them)
———————
Now more general stuff:
- Tamarack, as she stated, thinks it's pretty cool!
- I like to think she has some chalk, but nowhere near the range of colors you do!
- And she doesn’t use them nearly as frequently
- Anyway! She likes to doodle with you sometimes
- Even more she likes to watch you cover the sidewalk all the way from her house to Qiu’s in chalk (If your determined/bored enough to do that much)
- Lets just say both of you are disappointed when it rains
- If you draw her, she’ll be super happy!
- She also likes drawing you sometimes if your both using the chalk
- If she’s drawing with you, she likes using red and yellow because it reminds her of the forest
- Qiu also thinks it’s pretty nice
- Doodle buddies? Doodle buddies.
- The only difference is yours are more colorful and on the ground while his end up on the ground
- Sometimes the two of you will draw similar things but you with chalk usually and him with his notebook
- He likes using your chalk too! But he doesn’t as much as Tamarack might.
- He’ll laugh if he sees you’ve covered the whole houses area with chalk
- If your sad about it washing away, he might suggest using a more permanent drawing tool
- He’ll compliment your drawings and if you bring them up compliment them to Baxter and Darren!
- If he’s using your chalks, he’ll mostly use the yellows and oranges

STILL GREEN
RZ! Michael Myers, AFAB Reader, Feminine Terminology Used, reader is lowkey highkey delusional
Green.
Green like freshness.
Green like new.
Green like envy.
Green like the jealous pit that lingered within his stomach every time he saw you talking to the neighbors. The same pit that ever only grew in size when it concerned you. You, his darling little mouse, so friendly, so kind. It’s what drew him to you, you know. Kindness wasn’t something that stayed within Smith’s Grove, nor was it catered to. Kindness was snuffed out, diminished at the first sign, but not you. Never you. It was an honest mistake really, you being there. Taking the fall for something someone else did, so valiant weren’t you? Oh, and then you met Michael. Just a boy he was, barely breaching 5’8 at the time, and then you came in, practically skipping. You were a mere year younger than him at the most. The nurses, god fucking damn those nurses, were rough with you, he was and would never be rough with you. Michael watched, a lot. He likes to watch you. You’re quite pleasing to look at in his eyes. You were kind to everyone despite everything the staff and patients did to you. You, his own personal sun, his warmth in this filth-ridden world.
You were his.
And he was your’s.
After your departure from Smith’s Grove, a sad day indeed. You didn’t leave Haddenfield. In fact, you moved back into your old house, fell back into a steady routine. It stayed like that for a good few years, you shedded that girlish immaturity of your’s. But you remained kind, warm. Your days at Smith’s Grove weren’t forgotten, your mind lingered on the boy you’d tried to befriend those handful of years ago sometimes you’d try and visit, though once again in vain. Soon, you moved on, or tried to. You lead a simple life, one that suited you. Work and home. That’s mostly what your days consisted of. Though the news blaring of a highly dangerous patient’s escape from the Sanatarium. Though the name was what made you drop the glass you’d been washing.
Michael fucking Myers.
Any normal person would be scared, terrified even. But you? Not a thing, well not a thing any one word could describe. He was alive after all of this? Something, a small string in your heart pulled for him. You knew how the staff treated the patients within those walls, how they treated Michael. It made you sick, and the memory of Dr.Loomis’s ‘interviews’ left you scarred. Michael was young then, still a boy.
The days were long, dull. Blending together with one another. People’s fear left them paranoid, and paranoia leads to other erratic behavior. Just the other hour an older couple practically had a melt down when they say some kid’s preparing for Halloween. It was sad, but not any of your business. Still, you continued your routine. Though your garden needed tending to. It was something you’d picked up from a grandparent, now it was just something to keep you busy, something to care for. The crisp October air was a pleasantry you’d taken comfort in, letting you wear your comfort jumpers to your hearts content. You knelt, the cold dirt hardened as you plucked at the weeds, tugging a few carrots, and clipping sweet peppers for dinner, though a chill ran down your spine. Not of fear, no, but of a feeling of being stalked. Like prey sensing their impending doom at the awaiting jaws of a predator. You straightened your back, head turning to study the surrounding neighbor’s yards and short stretch of wood.
The hair on the back of your neck bristled.
Him.
Michael was big, bigger than you thought a man could get. An orange mask covered his features, but even then you remembered those eyes. Oh his eyes.. Dr.Loomis was wrong, at least to you. Because Michael looked at you you’d hung the stars and moon themselves, like you were the holy being prophesied to save him. But in a blink, he was gone. You’d think yourself crazy had it not been for his eyes. The same eyes you’d felt drawn to in your youth.
That night you found little sleep. Creaking of your house made his presence know. He wanted you to know. Michael knew how to be quiet, how to make himself invisible, but he wanted you to know he was looming just a few feet away.
“ Michael. “ you announced, voice hoarse. The creaking stopped.
~Time Skip~
You’d gotten used to Michael’s presence, sure, the fact he’d eat any and everything sweet within your house and the neighbor’s was a bit..odd, but everyone has their quirks right? Some days, he’d stand behind you whilst you cooked, almost close enough to touch you. It took a long while to build that up, you weren’t complaining. But Michael was greedy. He wanted everything from you and more, it was the least he was owed after you left Smith’s right? It was the least you could do for him after he keeps your house protected! He encroached slowly, it started off with simple touches on your ankle, then you’d awake with his hand on the inside of your knee and so forth. And here you were now, underneath the mountain you called your house husband.
Michael’s cock throbbed in your heat, this was what? Your fifth orgasm? Sixth? Neither one of you cared enough to keep count. You were so faced out, crossed eyed and drooling at this point, and Michael was panting, guttural moans bordering whine erupting from his throat. He’d mumble what sounded like broken sounds of your name and ‘mine’, you couldn’t quite make it out even if you weren’t so cock-drunk. Michael’s hand crept from beside your head and made its way to your throat, he didn’t choke you, simply felt how small you were compared to him. How delicate you were beneath him. All his. The mere thought has his cock aching, and the look you gave him was delectable. Your perfect lips parted, he stilled. Awaiting your words with a bated breath. “ Please, pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease-“ you begged. The sweet whines you gave Michael were his salvation. You were his heaven begging him for entry. You were his God. His Heaven, his Hell. All gift wrapped into one, perfectly flawed being and all his for the taking. Michael groaned, a guttural sound, his head falling beside your’s, his dark blond locks falling over his face. The night was still young, and your pleas only egged him on further.
Michael’s thrusts quickened, his tip kissing your womb. He could feel you getting close, after all your were practically milking his cock as it was, but now? Your weeping cunt was like a vice. You wrapped you legs around his broad waist, whining and keening for him to bring you past the edge again, despite being so sensitive already. Needy baby, weren’t you? Michael smiled, sinking his teeth into your shoulder as you came. Your vision turned white as you tightened your legs around Michael, spent body trembling as you began to go limp. Michael’s head rose from your shoulder, blood staining his teeth as he stared you down, his eyes blown with lust. His kiss swollen lips quivering lips muttering silent words before uttering a statement that had your core aching once more.
“ Not done. “
Author’s Comments: OKAY SOOOO I’m a day behind and it’ll most likely stay that way because my schedule this month is packed as hell already. A Different Kind of Pirate - Part 2
Tumblr media
Hi all, I recently did a poll to see what most people prefer to read and I will be switching the story to second pov :) hope this doesn’t mess anyone up. Thank you for the support!
Zoro X Reader
Masterlist
Part 2: A Routine
You wake up to see no one in the room. Thinking to yourself how odd it is Zoro can stay up so late and yet get up so early. You slip out of bed and go to the bathroom to change back into your regular clothes, leaving Zoro’s shirt folded on the table.
You begin descending the stairs from the crow’s nest observing everyone doing their own tasks. You then spot the broody man working out in the tangerine grove, away from the rest of the crew. You smile to yourself thinking how silly he is to be so closed off and dark, but someone on the crew must you guessed.
You enter the kitchen to the amazing smell of waffles. Sanji sees you and quickly sets a plate down with fresh fruit and hand-squeezed orange juice. You take your place next to Nami and say,
“Sanji, you really didn’t need to do all this for me. I’m okay with just a bit of cereal.” You smile.
“A lady like you? Cereal? God no, over my cold dead body y/n-swan.” He says shocked you even suggested it.
“Is he always like this?” You whisper to Nami.
“Yeah, unfortunately,” She says flatly back.
You both sit and enjoy your meals, chatting about random things and getting to know each other better. Eventually, Nami points out that Zoro hasn’t eaten yet and that Sanji should fix a plate up for him. He rolls his eyes and remarks,
“Fine, but I’m not bringing it to him.”
“That’s alright, I can. I don’t mind.” You giggle.
Weaving through the tangerine trees looking for the green-haired man, smelling the fresh air. It was almost like a maze with how many trees there were. As you’re about to give up and go out and back in again to start over, you back into something tall, but it isn’t a tree.
You slowly turn around to the intimidatingly tall man in front of you. Sure, you were intimidated by him, but by no means were you scared. You found him cute and liked the reactions you got from teasing him yesterday.
“I brought you some breakfast!” You say with a big smile.
“I don’t eat breakfast.” He says with a bite.
“Well, pretty boys don’t stay pretty if they don’t eat. I’ll leave this here, but you should really eat.” You say moving the plate over to a bench.
As you walk away you can feel Zoro’s eyes on you the whole time, as if you are a wild animal capable of doing any random movement at any time.
For the rest of the day, you sit with the other members playing games, telling stories, or reading. You found to quite like Robin’s company specifically. You and her have a very similar sense of humor, and it feels comforting to be around her.
-----
As the days go on you can’t help but believe Nami truly listened to their captain by setting sail for the farthest island possible. You weren’t complaining though. You had come up with a routine for yourself and quite enjoyed being on the Sunny.
Each morning you wake up and have breakfast with Nami and Robin, you then bring a plate to Zoro. He may say he doesn’t trust you but he always eats what you bring him. After that, you play some card games and such with Chopper and Luffy. You then help Frankie with repairs or his next project. After all that activity, you go back to the bench swing. This happens to be where Zoro naps in the afternoons. As he rests you read and enjoy the sun. Each night you all gather around a fire and enjoy the night. As everyone goes to bed you once again make tea for you and Zoro and ascend to the crow’s nest.
After the past week and a half of this Zoro hadn’t warmed up to you like the other crew had, but that’s okay, you know he's different and he takes his time to trust people. But he never once rejected your presence, which you count as a win, especially with how much you tease and flirt with him. It was just too easy! You say something as simple as “Hey hot stuff” and he’s a red mess. It's quite cute you think, and it's not as if you're lying, you truly think he's attractive so why not tell him?
---
You make your and Zoro’s tea, now knowing how he likes it after days of prodding him about it. You bring it up to him and hand him the cup, choosing to this time sit on the crow’s nest balcony with him.
You both sit in silence watching the waves and stars while sipping your tea.
“Zoro,” You say. He hums in response. “I forgot my pajamas in the wash.”
“For god’s sake woman.” He says exasperated.
He moves to his closet once again and throws a shirt at you. He walks to sit back down where he used to be. You laugh at his reaction, and he looks at you a bit puzzled.
“Why do you always stay up?” You ask curiosity getting the better of you.
“Someone’s gotta make sure no one attacks us while all these idiots are sleeping.” He states with a bit of a smirk on his face. It was faint but you could see the corners of his mouth fighting a smile. You hum in response.
“It must get lonely huh, do you ever get tired?” You ask.
“No not really.” he blandly says.
“Liar.” you say with a smile.
“Excuse me?” He looks at you with bewilderment and a smile on his face.
“I see you in the middle of the night on the balcony asleep, why do you think you always wake up with a blanket in the morning?” You laugh.
“That was you?!” He exclaims. “I thought I was tripping out or forgetting I had gotten a blanket the night before.” He says with surprise. You laugh at his response.
“How about this, I’ll stay up now and you can get some sleep and then when you wake up, I’ll get some sleep?” You say with a smile now looking away back towards the waves crashing against the boat.
 He hums while thinking.
“And that way we can both sleep in the bed, and you won’t have back problems.” You try to say while stifling a laugh.
“I do NOT have back problems!” he says. “But it would be nice to sleep in a bed again. Alright, you’ve got a deal. But if I find you sleeping on the job, I’ll throw you overboard.” he smiles.
“You would never” You feign hurt, “Who would be here to compliment you all the time pretty boy?”
He turns away and walks inside before you can see his reaction, but you know he was trying to stop a smile. He quickly returns with a blanket and says to wake him up if you get tired.
You stay up for a while, quietly finding constellations or humming to yourself. Eventually, you start to get sleepy but fight it off so Zoro can get some much-needed rest. But alas you couldn’t fight it off forever.
The next day you wake up in the bed wondering how you got there. You sit up and look at the side table seeing a plate of breakfast and a note.
The note read:
Thanks for taking the graveyard shift last night, I’ll think about not throwing you overboard since you helped me out
Z
You smile as you read it and bring the plate to the table. You sit quietly eating, looking out at the beautiful sky.
Later, when you joined the crew, they all asked what caused you to sleep in so late. You told them you started helping Zoro with the night watches so he could get some sleep too. They all nod at your sacrifice.
Suddenly their faces look serious and you ask what's wrong.
“We need to go to Dressrosa y/n.” Nami says.
“Oh, why is that?” You question.
“We just got word from our ally Trafalgar Law to meet up before going there to form an attack on Doflamingo.” Robin states.
“Oh wow, I see, okay. And what do you need me to do? Do you need to drop me off at a nearby island or something?” You say hoping that it won’t come to that.
“No! We want you to help us!” Luffy yells.
You smile at his request and nod. Frankie leaves to retrieve Zoro before you all start to plan everything. As Zoro walks back you smile at him, receiving the regular small nod.
The plan was to meet up with the heart pirates and proceed to Dressrosa to plan the attack. We all wanted to take down Doflamingo. You especially, he has always been on your ‘hit’ list but you never thought you could take him alone. You are grateful that you are now with two crews that can.
You smile to yourself thinking about how different life is now. Hoping not to go back to how it was before.

Part.3
I hope you enjoyed part 2! I am trying to write longer parts because I hate it when stories have short parts, turns out it's hard to do! But the next part should be up tomorrow if I stick to my schedule! Thank you for your support as a new writer! :)
