Finally I been waiting to share this AU for a very long
Meet The Norrisville Five
Tumblr media
This AU is about these five students forming a band together I had this AU for a very long time when the show was still airing on TV
Members:
Darren (Varsity Pullover Boy): The Bands Drummer.
Harry: The Bands singer and leader.
Elena (Brunette Girl): The Bands keyboard player.
Skylar (Purple Hair Girl): The Bands Bass player
Bucky: The Bands Guitarist.
Story:
Harry and Darren are really good friends, and we're part of a band back in middle school, but things didn't turn out so well, so they both quit the band, but years later Harry decides to start a band again with the help of Darren. Both of these boys try to find new members to form a band together. Harry talks to his friend and crush, Elena, about joining his band and being the keyboard player. She agrees. A week goes by still looking for new members. Elena talks to her twirling team about the band. That's where one of the members of the of the twirling team says she knows someone who plays the bass guitar, and that's where Skylar comes in the picture. Now that they have a bass, they just need one more player, a guitar player. Harry decides to hold auditions for their new guitar player. Many auditioned, but most of them were horrible. That's where Bucky comes along and auditions. They all loved him and made him the newest guitar player of the band; they decided to call themselves The Norrisville Five.
Here's the artist that drew this beautiful masterpiece:

Norrisville High, 1984
Mac Antfee - Junior, 18
Mac is the current Ninja of Norrisville, and has been for the last five years (redid freshman year three times)
Mac grew up hunting with his family; he’s not afraid of the rough-and-tumble fighting the Ninja has to do and will often attack with his bare hands
His relationship with Hannibal is very tense. They used to be closer at the beginning of high school, but Mac is beginning to let his jealousy get the better of him
The biggest conflict here is that Mac Antfee was not well-liked, but the ninja was. Everything he went on to do was driven by a deep-rooted fear that he would become obsolete without the suit
Hannibal McFist - Junior, 16
Member of the NHS football team and just organized the brand-new NHS Mustache Society. Hannibal is popular and rich and well-liked. Nobody quite understands why he still hangs around Mac but no one says anything either. Mac knows he’s out of place in Hannibal’s social circles
Hannibal knows Mac is the ninja, but doesn’t do much about it. He’s not like Howard - Hannibal doesn’t like to get involved with Ninja Business
Hannibal is head-over-heels for Marci but knows he has no chance with her
Marci Kranksi - Junior, 16
Marci is an Army Brat - her father serves in the military, so she moves states every couple of years
She stayed in Norrisville for only two years (her sophomore and junior years, 1983/84)
Marci is a heartthrob, but she’s very loyal to her out-of-state boyfriend (who goes on to be Bash’s bio father)
Marlene Gatlin - Junior, 17
Mary goes on to be the crooked Mrs. Driscoll, but in high school she was very popular. She’s pretty and funny and loves drama
Mary is high up socially, think cheerleader popular, but prefers the science wing and the nerds that are in it
Her love life is MESSY. Everybody wants Mary Gatlin. She’s the It Girl. Somewhere along the way it became common knowledge that if you wanted to ask her out, you had to get her attention by pulling the fire alarm. We know her type lmaoooo
Mac is in love with her, but of course Mary is more interested in Hannibal (she doesn’t date gingers). This is another point of contention between the boys
Willem Viceroy III - Freshman, 13
Willem - never Will or god forbid William, he’s very insistent about it - is a science prodigy. He’s in the same chemistry class as Hannibal and Mac, which is how they met
Willem doesn’t like Hannibal necessarily, but he’s a nearly impenetrable guard against being bullied. He’s a little bit like the group’s pet freshman and annoying as it is, it keeps him safe
Mort Weinerman - Freshman, 14
Mort is the most loser-est guy on this list. He’s the faceless freshman that wants to be cool
He’s part of the chess club and is very advanced in math. He has a couple band geek acquaintances but no solid friends
Mort knows Willem by name, but Willem doesn’t seem to know Mort. Same with Hannibal, Mary, Marci, and Mac
To be so honest, Morty here has no real tie to their plots. Like generally I think he grew up in a different state because of the accent so this is a Big Exception. But I couldn’t do this and not include him ok🙄

Meet the Characters: Part 3
so, due to apparent popular demand- i am going to be writing about the security guard next! i did place this up to poll, and i genuinely wasn't expecting Heidi Weinerman to win but here we are- i do plan on setting this up differently because if i get myself burnt out from my own fixations, i might actually cry so,
Heidi was honestly chosen because I thought she had the most connection to our boys; and yes, Nomi is still there (also to clarify right now, he is not nomirandy- he's the Nomicon but i decide to be self indulgent that's it)
I will say this, she does not get to have a good time- even if she isn't directly tied to the missing five incident
General Background;
Heidi is still the oldest of the Weinerham siblings- they have roughly two years of age difference in this universe because I said so. Of course, due to this the relationship between her and Howard is a little bit strained but overall, it could be worse. I honestly headcanon Heidi to be born somewhere in summer or fall, but we'll get right to the point- there is no favoritism in the Weinerham family, not a single bit. Mort is not that kind of parent and specifically for this universe, he is divorced! He values both his children equally, but of course Mort is a busy man and he still had to leave Heidi to care for her younger brother
Things at first, they were fairly normal. Heidi was fine helping out around the house, though somewhere around the time Howard turned three- a new addition was made to the family so to speak. Mort Weinerman and one of the neighbors, Ayumi, had arranged a playdate between their two sons: Howard and Randy. Almost immediately, the boys had it hit off and Heidi honestly felt glad that her brother could make friends this way. It wasn't uncommon to see Randy over at the Weinerman household (Heidi could never fully remember his name but oh well, if it made Howard happy-)
As the years passed, Heidi discovered her love for media- doing mostly home videos before ShoobTube truly kicked off in popularity. Her family had always been modest with their money, and Heidi certainly didn’t ask for much. She tended to film using an older camera (if anyone’s genuinely curious, i can share the model of the camera later!) and would do narration videos!
Though it was on Randy’s eighth birthday party that everything fell apart- Heidi was only ten but she was far from dumb and seeing Howard’s panic when no one could find Randy was heartbreaking (she still remembers when the police showed up, talking to the guests and trying to make sense on how multiple kids had suddenly gone missing) After that, Heidi found herself in a strained rivalry with her brother- more so than before and she couldn’t blame him. Randy had been a constant in their lives, except now he was gone and Heidi didn’t know what to think
As the years passed, Heidi continued using media and film- becoming one of the most watched people on ShoobTube within her high school. She began doing other forms of content: viral videos, ‘exclusive’ interviews, gossip received from students. It wasn’t out of the ordinary, and it was what led her to going to college for Media Production but with still trying to find a good agency to work for and deciding she needed something to do with her time- well, things certainly got interesting
… and we get to the present
Current Information;
Heidi is currently 28 (which makes Howard about 25/26-); despite still having a presence on ShoobTube- she was hoping to do more with her life, but it was proving a lot harder than it needed to be. Nothing would have prepared her for choosing to be a security guard at Whoopee World- it had been an ad on a streaming site and the next thing, an idea formed in her head. Perhaps it might never work but if she didn’t, no one would
She might be able to get answers; make sense of the missing children case from nearly thirty years ago, and well- she felt she owed it to Howard and to Randy, and let Norrisville rest after the devastation. Heidi was quick to make an appointment for an interview and strangely enough, she got it almost right on the spot. This would be easy; simply make it through the week, gather as much information as she could and if need be- work for a little longer, if it meant putting an end to this entire mess
Nothing prepared her for the strange call she got on the first night- Heidi blinked, not understand as the warning of the animatronics’ free-roaming mechanism. She was even more startled when it claimed that the animatronics wandered, that they would attempt to stuff her into a suit… but she pushed through and things got even weirder
Was she dreaming? It had almost sounded like a cry, a child’s scream but it couldn’t have been- and that was made her come back. Heidi had no idea what she was getting herself into, what this would unravel in the end but of course, nothing was ever that simple
Heidi Weinerman was going to solve the mystery. No matter what
Headcanons;
🎬 Heidi is ADHD. She has a fixation on media and film, and hopes one day to become a professional producer but for now- she has a job as the security guard at Whoopee World
🎬 Heidi is feisty- she stops at nothing to get what she wants, but even then she is very protective of those she cares about! She has intervened when Howard was being bullied in high school, and is too stubborn to quit when attempting to uncover the truth
🎬 She tends to keep her hair loose or in a ponytail
🎬 Heidi isn’t one to fully believe in the paranormal (but she also has heard the wails- the weird childlike screams; to ‘save them’ and she’s begun to question)
🎬 She is friends with Debbie Kang in present times. Heidi and Debbie weren’t fully close during their high school years but at the same time, similar interests call for friendships! They are both equally as determined for the truth
🎬 The relationship she has with her brother strengthened once more in adulthood, but they both lead different lives
🎬 Heidi doesn’t have dreams of the incident like some of the others do- (at least not in the current moment)
There will be more to come soon! I hope you enjoyed this because ohhh I am just getting started- stay safe, everyone and happy Pride!

There is a name for when a special (in a supernatural way) title/position is passed down during the story, and this is important to the plot.
I saw it five times only. All of them have three individuals (relevant to the plot in Avatar's case).
Glen Baskerville from Pandora Hearts (Reim/Levi, Oswald, Leo)
Jinchuuriki of Kurama (Mito, Kushina, Naruto)
Indra and Ashura reincarnations (Madara and Hashirama/Sasuke and Naruto)
Sky Arcobaleno (Luce, Aria, Yuni)
Avatar (Roku, Aang, Korra)
The Dragons from Akatsuki no Yona kind too? We don't have much about the predecessors yet, onthe the First Dragons. And the Norrisville Ninja? We have Randy, his evil predecessor and the First Ninja.
Someone knows the name of the Trope?

Whirlwind (SQ fic): Jake should be used to ominous predictions by now. Randy should know better than to blindly follow McFist. Adrien should think twice before sneaking away. And Danny should’ve expected something like this when he got that phone call.
Chapter 11 [FF | AO3]
Previous | Timeline post
-|-
7:43 PM
The girl—dragon, if Rotwood wasn’t crazy, though McFist wouldn’t put money on that—squirmed in his grip but couldn’t break it. “You don’t have to keep playing these pranks on me,” he said loudly, not missing the side eyes and whispers from the others around them. At least the crowd had thinned; this was the sort of publicity McFist Industries didn’t need.
“I don’t know you! Let me go!”
Smart kid. Unfortunately for her, she’d come to him, not the other way around. Someone must’ve seen her do that, and that same someone would be telling others, and word would spread, protecting him from what would otherwise be a very problematic situation.
“Honey, I know having a stepfather can be an adjustment, but please don’t do this in public. We can talk once we get home, okay?”
“No!” she cried as he pulled first one foot and then the other free of the ice with violent twists. He ignored Rotwood as the man tugged on his first leg in an attempt to free it; McFist was happy to throw Rotwood money if he had anything that might be of use, but this girl was a solid lead on the NYC Ninja. She’d had a Ninja Cold Ball. The Norrisville Ninja left behind a plethora of throwing stars and rings and whatnot, but McFist doubted any ninja just handed out those throwing balls.
He eyed the bulging pocket of her hoodie.
If it was full of what he suspected, maybe the NYC Ninja had handed her all those things.
Assuming the NYC Ninja wasn’t as much of a fool as the Norrisville one could be, for all that McFist couldn’t seem to catch him and keep him, this girl must mean something to him. Be a sister of the Ninja, maybe, instead of a dragon. Rotwood might not have things quite straight; the Ninja wouldn’t just hand out weapons to little girls willy-nilly.
The girl opened her mouth to scream.
McFist jerked her towards him, her breath leaving her in the rushed surprise of a squawk instead. He hugged her close, burying her face in his stomach to muffle any subsequent shrieking attempts and holding her there even as she tried to drop to her feet and roll away. “Listen,” he said softly as the crowd began to turn away from them again, “I’m not in the business of hurting kids. I just want a bit of information, and I pay well for it.”
He felt her tense and, against what might be his better judgement, he pulled back and dropped down to her level. He kept a firm grip on her as he pulled out a wad of cash with his free hand. “I mean it. You tell me where you got that Ninja Cold Ball, and this is all yours.”
Defiance had replaced fear on her face, but her dark eyes betrayed nothing and stayed fixed on his own, even when Rotwood managed to get his first foot free with a grunt.
“Don’t listen to her lies,” Rotwood puffed as he strained to pull his second foot out of the ice. “The dragons, they have all sorts of gadgets and magics. It was probably not this Ninja Cold Ball at all!”
This time, the girl glanced at him, and when she turned back to McFist, she was chewing her bottom lip. Then she said, “I got it from a ninja.” One hand snaked out to grab his money, but he kept hold of it even as she tried to tug it free.
“Where?”
She stopped pulling and considered him for a second, cocking her head, and then she said, “I can show you.”
Show him, not tell him. That was more promising. Might not be an outright lie, and he could hold his own in a fight if it turned into an ambush. If it was a wild goose chase, then he had her, so he’d still be farther ahead than he was now. He let her go and then peeled away half the bills in his hand, giving her some and pocketing the rest. “Show us both now and you’ll get the rest—plus a nice bonus if you can tell us anything else. And even more if you hand over the rest of your stash.”
She frowned at him but made no denials. “I don’t want him to come,” she said, pointing to Rotwood. He slipped at that moment, cursing quietly, and McFist winced. He couldn’t really blame her, but assuming Rotwood had any marbles left, he might be able to come up with something useful on the Ninja front, and Viceroy could use some more ideas when it came to WNDs in case the Robo-Dragon went the way of the Robo-Dog. If it didn’t, though, and he got it finished fast enough for McFist to test it out on this NYC Ninja? Viceroy would be getting a bonus he didn’t have to argue for.
“Too bad. He’s coming.”
“I don’t have to show you.”
Attitude. Bravado. But she didn’t strike him as a street kid or even a recent runaway, so McFist didn’t mind taking the chance of calling her bluff. “He comes or I just take you over to the police and let you show them all the weapons you’ve got tucked away.”
The widened eyes and sharp intake of breath seemed to come at the same time, but she didn’t run away like he’d thought she’d might.
Instead, her eyes darted skyward, but before he could find what she’d been looking at, she said, “Fine. But he catches up. I’m not waiting for him.”
McFist rolled his eyes and reached over to smash the ice around Rotwood’s stuck foot with his mechanical hand.
“Why did you not do that earlier?” Rotwood cried, but he was getting easier to ignore; the girl was letting her fear get to her, since the flash of it she’d let him see looked real enough, and that demanded more of McFist’s attention at the moment. He could work with that.
McFist held out his hand—his left, thinking she might shy away from his right, and he could hold her easily enough either way. She frowned at him but took it, shooting another nervous glance at Rotwood. He wondered if she was wary of him because she actually knew him or if she simply thought he had a few screws loose. Honestly, he wouldn’t fault her either way. Just because McFist thought the man was useful, didn’t mean he thought Rotwood was the sharpest tack in the box.
“Lead on,” McFist said to the girl. Over his shoulder, he added, “Ninjas do that kind of thing all the time. Thought you could use the practical experience.”
“Practical experience?” spluttered Rotwood as he stalked up to them. With his longer strides, it didn’t take him long to catch up. “You are ignoring my very practical experience with dragons and letting that one lead you right into her nest.”
“Didn’t think dragons had nests.”
“Trap.” Rotwood’s voice was clipped. “I mean a trap. Perhaps I should not have been so quick to offer my services to you, if you do not value my expertise.”
“I’ll value it once you prove it,” McFist returned. “You know full well that I can uphold my end of the bargain, but I don’t know that you can do the same.”
The girl’s pace quickened, but she said nothing.
She was listening, though. If Rotwood was remotely right about her, then she had the potential to be dangerous. Somehow. It was hard to think of a cute little kid as dangerous, though. Or as a dragon. Her hand didn’t feel remotely scaly, but then again, Viceroy was convinced the 800-odd year old Norrisville Ninja was a current high school student, so McFist was willing to give Rotwood the benefit of the doubt.
He was not willing to give up a clear lead to the NYC Ninja before Rotwood had proven himself, however.
That would just be foolish.
“She is leading us away from the crowd!” hissed Rotwood. “If she wants us away from here, should we not ask what she’s trying to keep from us?”
“Ninja wouldn’t stick around in a crowd like this,” McFist said as Rotwood started to grumble. “Not if he’s smart.”
The girl kept walking, rarely tugging on his arm except to steer him. She didn’t try to slow. She didn’t try to bolt.
She might be trying to lead them away from something, but McFist hadn’t seen anything, and from what he’d heard from the NYC Ninja, the guy was as quiet as the Norrisville Ninja was. Which is to say, not at all.
If they were leaving the Ninja behind, he wasn’t fighting anyone or they’d hear it.
Still, once they were through the bulk of the crowd and weren’t passing within five feet of someone anymore, McFist said, “Why don’t you tell me how you ran into the Ninja?”
She rolled her shoulders in what might’ve been a shrug and mumbled, “He fought the dragon, didn’t he?”
He had, but she could just as easily have overheard that.
It didn’t explain why she’d singled him out.
Come to that, none of it explained why she’d singled him out.
Judging by how she’d recoiled from Rotwood, it hadn’t been him, even if Rotwood was right and they knew each other.
“Why me?”
This time, she slowed and glanced back at him. “What?”
“Why pick me?” He pulled her to a stop, looked pointedly towards his prosthetic arm, and added, “I’m not the guy singled out as harmless. So why, out of everyone in the crowd you could’ve come to, did you pick me?”
She dropped his hand and chewed her lip again.
“He told you to, didn’t he? The Ninja? That’s why he gave you the weapons? So you could bait me? Or pretend to be him if that didn’t work?”
“The dragon must be back there,” Rotwood declared. “That’s why she wanted us to leave. We have to go back!”
“No!” she cried, and McFist knew that whatever the truth, Rotwood was right in thinking she’d wanted them gone. “I just…. I…. Rotwood, please.”
McFist turned to Rotwood. The man was wearing a manic grin. “You admit it then, yes? That I am right about everything?”
“No,” she said, and his face fell into a frown. “You don’t know the half of it. That dragon isn’t a dragon.”
McFist blinked and tried to figure out what she wasn’t saying, but it was worse than some of the things Viceroy came out with.
Rotwood moved so he could loom over the girl. At least, that’s what McFist thought he was trying to do. The man didn’t do looming particularly well. It looked awkward. His chest was puffed out too much, especially when coupled with the odd angle he had to tilt his head to peer down at her through his glasses. McFist was pretty sure he could do a better job than that. Viceroy certainly could if he put his mind to it, but McFist figured Mad Scientist University might’ve had a class in that kind of thing, so it didn’t really count.
“It’s Professor Rotwood,” he said. “And if you do not want me to tell the world everything I know, then you should tell me everything you know. That is a fair trade, yes?”

7:43 PM
Randy was yelling something again, and Adrien wished he would stop. Randy might be used to fighting people who were too consumed with one thing or another to think straight, but Adrien knew exactly how smart akumatized people were, and—
“Get behind me!” Adrien screamed, reaching out to drag Randy into that position when the other teen didn’t obey quickly enough. Randy squawked in surprise, but Adrien was already spinning his staff to dissipate the streak of fire. His staff was clipped by the dragon’s talons a second later and sent flying; he hadn’t managed to pull back enough, even if he’d prevented it from being taken into her clutches entirely. By some miracle that never seemed to occur around Ladybug, his staff didn’t spin off the roof or otherwise wind up terribly far away. He’d be able to get it later, if he could just loop around those air conditioning units and—
“I think you need another Ninja Hydro Hand!” Randy shouted, rolling out from behind his meagre cover. A fist of water caught Susan’s tail a second later. It barely slowed her down, most of it crashing onto the roof and making Adrien hope Randy didn’t try pulling out of one those electrifying balls. Was Susan faster than before? Randy wasn’t slower, so—
Susan roared, her lashing tail managing to break free of Randy’s attack and sending some of that water back towards them. Adrien dropped and rolled, as much to get away from the attack which was undoubtedly coming as to avoid getting wet if Randy did pull out some questionable weaponry in the next breath. It’s not that he begrudged the help; he needed help right now. He just…. Randy wasn’t Ladybug. A fight and a half didn’t tell him enough about Randy’s fighting style to be able to anticipate his attacks and see how well he coordinated those attacks with those who were helping him, even if they were only acting as distractions.
Of course, that might be because Adrien had no idea if Randy was used to fighting with a partner.
Well.
That was a lie.
If Randy fought with a partner, they had a very poor partnership, unless Randy’s job was to try to keep all the attention on him while his partner went in for the— Not kill, necessarily, not if Randy was used to dealing with a similar sort of situation as Adrien himself, but the final blow. Only, Randy had been more than happy to jump at the opportunity to break the Critic’s pen, and he just didn’t move like he was used to fighting with allies.
He wasn’t a stranger to it, but Adrien was sure it wasn’t the norm.
Randy had also clearly never fought a dragon before, if he thought a bit of ice around Susan’s hind claws from Randy’s latest volley of Ninja Cold Balls would be more than a match for the sheer amount of muscle Susan possessed in this form. Not to mention the fact that she could breathe fire. And, likely as not, had fireproof scales. It had looked that way when Randy had thrown the first fireball, at least, and why wouldn’t a dragon have fireproof hide? It only made sense. Even if dragons usually didn’t, Hawk Moth would happily supply an upgrade to increase his chances of winning.
Adrien kept low, dashing for the air conditioning units on all fours while Susan was distracted by Randy. A Ninja Air Fist met a torrent of dragon fire as Adrien took shelter behind the nearest unit; some of the flames flashed his way, carried by the wind instead of being immediately put out by it. The heat that still rolled over him must have fried the electronics of every unit up here, and the sheer amount of damage they were doing—
Adrien winced as he heard the chain of explosions caused by Randy’s Ninja Boom Balls, even as he used the cover to creep toward his staff.
None of this was going to get repaired.
Not by any miraculous move on Ladybug’s part, at least.
Adrien couldn’t afford to think about that, though.
Useful a distraction as Randy was being, he couldn’t hold Susan off forever. Not alone. But Adrien? Adrien had something she wanted—or, at least, something that Hawk Moth wanted. Randy was doing a phenomenal job of keeping Susan penned where she was, using elemental attacks every time she tried to take to the air, but she’d go through Randy to get to him if she had to. Especially since, at the rate he was using his Ninja Balls and Ninja Throwing Stars and everything else, he’d run out of ammunition sooner rather than later, which might even be Susan’s intent, so that she could focus almost entirely on Adrien. Unless Randy had an unlimited supply of weaponry? Why hadn’t Adrien asked? If he’d been thinking….
But there hadn’t been any more time for questions.
Adrien might not be able to explain Susan’s earlier disappearance, but he could explain her return. He recognized that drive in her, the focus of her attacks. Even if she had more of herself left in her than Hawk Moth’s usual victims, Adrien had seen how people got…twisted. Even if it was subtle, it was there. Desperation turned justification turned for the greater good and it’s only the end result that matters or I’ll do anything in exchange—
She’d still made a bargain with Hawk Moth, dragon blood running through her veins or not, and she’d be bound accordingly.
He just wished he knew for certain why Hawk Moth had come here and what precisely he was looking for; having a clear thing to protect beyond his own Miraculous would give them an advantage. Any concrete information would help. He was operating entirely too much on guesswork, because Hawk Moth wasn’t supposed to be here, he was supposed to be back in Paris where Ladybug could effectively neutralize each akuma—
Susan had too much room to manoeuvre here. They were out of the way of civilians, sure, but she still had the advantage. Neither of them could fly, and Randy didn’t have the added bonus of night vision (to Adrien’s knowledge, at least). Besides, if Randy’s elemental attacks exhausted him—another thing Adrien hadn’t thought to ask earlier—then there really was only so much time that he could be an effective fighter before he would need to recover. Furthermore, Adrien couldn’t risk using Cataclysm except to get out of some kind of non-organic trap—and maybe not even then, if he risked bringing a building down on someone—which meant he was left fighting with his staff. Since his opponent was a dragon, his staff was better suited for defense or getting leverage, especially as said opponent wouldn’t be hurt by a small bit of metal flung at her.
Well.
Maybe not.
He and Randy knew perfectly well that the plan was for Danny to get the necklace away from her (using his quick flight speed and optional tangibility), but she didn’t know that.
Taunt, run, feign, distract.
Adrien smiled as his fingers closed around his staff. Planting it firmly on its base in front of him, he extended it and let it carry him a good ten or so feet above Susan’s current height, which was already about twenty or thirty feet from the rooftop. Fortunately, Randy had been able to hold her at that height, even if his elemental attacks hadn’t been able to push her back down. “Hey, dragon lady,” Adrien called, suddenly realizing he didn’t know what name she’d taken, if she’d taken one at all, “aren’t you a little focused on the wrong hero in the cute black number?”
Sharp eyes turned to him, ignoring Randy entirely. “My name is Dracona,” she hissed.
Dracona.
Not Susan, whatever Jake wanted to think.
Adrien swallowed but kept his thoughts off his face, plastering on a wide grin instead. “Then how about we play a little game of cat and mouse?”
He let the staff become ungrounded. It teetered for a second before slowly tipping as the wind caught him. Dracona snarled and gave her wings another ferocious beat, pushing her further into the air—
—but not pushing away an all-important flash of red as the Ninja’s scarf lashed out to wrap around her neck. Adrien only caught a glimpse as he fell, spinning so he could better spot his landing on the next building over, but he saw Randy’s wild swing bring him up and around Dracona’s neck, landing him squarely on her back at its base.
Adrien couldn’t suppress a grin as Randy let out a whoop of joy, even though it was nearly swallowed in Dracona’s growl.
And then Adrien’s feet touched down on the next roof, his staff already retracting, and he began to run.
-|-
7:44 PM
“That can’t be a good sound,” Danny whispered to Jake as Jake flew higher, relishing the fact that he didn’t have to take care not to circle over busy areas while Danny was making him invisible.
This was made more important by the fact that Danny was right: it hadn’t been a good sound.
Also, they weren’t the only ones who had noticed Susan’s roars. Jake didn’t need dragon eyes to see the stream of people and vehicles below, flooding away from the gala and towards the danger. Some of those vans below had to be various news stations, which meant the moment Danny left him to play jewellery thief, it was entirely too likely that two dragons would be caught on tape.
The Dragon Council would definitely take his powers away for this. And maybe not just his, if they figured Gramps or Fu or someone should’ve stepped in before he let the situation get this far. That wouldn’t be fair, but they didn’t always care about fair.
They hadn’t listened when it came to removing Chang from the council, despite the fact that Jake knew G had been pushing for it. Why would they listen when he tried to tell them that everything that had happened here wasn’t anyone else’s fault?
“We just need to move fast, yo,” Jake said. He kept his voice at a normal volume despite the wind—Danny might not have sensitive dragon ears, but he did have one of his ears pressed against Jake’s neck—and hoped that if it was loud enough for Susan to overhear them, even from this distance, she’d be too busy to pay attention.
Truth was, if her ears were sensitive enough to pick up their conversation, they were also sensitive enough to pick out the sound of Jake’s wingbeats, even above the noise rising from the streets below.
They could see the fight now. It was dead easy to trace its path; concrete still scorched, after all, and lots of places were doused in water. Not to mention, Randy wasn’t exactly stopping long enough to pick up any of his thrown weapons, even the ones that weren’t too bent to reuse. Light pollution meant the night sky wasn’t completely dark, either, and it was easier than Jake would like to pick out the spinning silhouette of his mother against the golden glow of gathering clouds.
And, apparently, Jake wasn’t the only one with a passenger clinging to his neck.
The passenger was Randy, judging by the leaps the other shadow was making with the assist of a pole. Randy must be holding on for all he was worth, as Susan was doing everything in her power to shake him loose. Randy would be far too close to her necklace for comfort if she was going to do everything she could to protect it, and—
He’d be fine. He could hang on long enough for them to get there and help, even though Jake wasn’t flying as fast as he could since Danny clearly wanted to say his bit before they got there.
“What’s more important?” Danny asked as Jake climbed, intending to wheel closer from above and hopefully stay unnoticed. “Keeping the existence of dragons secret from the non-magical world or beating this Hawk Moth guy?”
Jake didn’t bother to hide his snort. “Both. I’m gonna save my mom.”
“Yeah, but….” Danny hesitated. “Saving your mom just means winning this battle. And Hawk Moth is in her head if she’s fighting the good guys. You know that. Which means you don’t know what she’s gonna do when she sees you.”
“I’m not sitting this out. You know that.”
“Weren’t you told you’d need the help of your friends to do this?”
“Yeah, help. That doesn’t mean I have to take a back seat while you guys do all the work.”
“Doesn’t mean you need to stay in dragon form, either, if having more than one dragon on the scene gets dicey when it comes to pretending the magical world doesn’t exist.”
“Say what?”
“The thing Randy’s book told him. To cleanse the soul, one must first clear the mind. You can do that just as well as a human, and then you won’t let this Hawk Moth guy know that dragons are real. If he hasn’t already guessed it, I mean. It didn’t sound like he could just pick knowledge out of people’s brains, so your mom might’ve been able to keep that under wraps.”
Jake spread his wings to catch an updraft, even though he’d slowly been circling downwards. “He has a Miraculous. If we know about them, there’s no way they don’t know about us. Not when they know how to keep off our radar.”
“Doesn’t mean that guy specifically knows about you, or how much influence dragons have on the magical world, or anything else like that. I mean. Look. I can try to overshadow your mom instead of just grabbing the necklace and flying away. I don’t know if she can throw me out, but it’ll buy us some time, and it would shake her up enough for you to talk to her. And that might draw out Hawk Moth. He’s obviously connected with her somehow. But if you’re dragoned up when he crawls out of wherever he’s hiding, we can’t even pretend all this dragon stuff was his magic. So if you st—” Danny broke off.
He’d seen what Jake had seen.
The dragon ahead of them had shifted mid-flight, her form shrinking back to the all-too-familiar silhouette of Jake’s mother.
Jake tracked the falling figures with his eyes as he sped towards them, and he wasn’t surprised when Danny left him and flew ahead. He was the faster flyer; he’d get there first. That knowledge did nothing for the sudden terror in Jake’s stomach, though. The two were falling together, maybe still tangled in Randy’s scarf. He couldn’t see any butterfly, and maybe there wasn’t one, since Nino was diving towards them, trying to catch them before—
A flash of blue fire lit the sky, and the dragon surged upwards again, catching Nino in her talons.
Jake reached the scene a precious second after Randy’s wild descent had halted, and Danny flickered back into visibility as he rose to meet Jake.
“She ruined my scarf,” Randy complained, gesturing at the tattered red cloth. “If her magic messes up my suit magic and it doesn’t fix itself, you owe me for that, too.”
Jake just stared at him, wondering how he could even think about something like that right now.
Whether or not Randy could accurately read dragon expressions, he could certainly read the look on Danny’s face. “What? I think Nino planned this. He had that planning look on his face, right before he fell and started the chase again.”
Instead of telling Randy he wouldn’t know Nino well enough to recognize a planning look on his face, Jake glanced below. The sight of the people beginning to gather was enough to pull a growl from his throat. He winged quickly to the rooftops, Danny following with Randy. “Climb on,” he said, crouching down so Randy could clamber up. “If he’s changing his own plan on us, we’re not going to be left behind.”
Randy swung up with ease even as Danny said, “You know plans never work out like they’re supposed to.”
Sure, but that didn’t mean Jake had to like this one. If this really was the plan, it was entirely too self-sacrificial. More likely, it had been a mistake, and Randy just didn’t want to admit that to himself. A mistake like this was bad.
Granted, a mistake like this was also par for the course.
“Let’s just hit her hard and fast when we catch up,” Jake said as he took to the air again. Danny moved to fly beside him, reaching out to keep a steady hand on Jake’s neck. Invisibility really was handy. “She’s got the Miraculous of the Black Cat, which Hawk Moth wants. She’ll lead us to him, and then we can take them both down.” He glanced in Danny’s direction. “Um, after we save Nino.”
“You want me to get him out of there before I try anything else? Overshadowing included?”
“What’s overshadowing?”
“One of Danny’s many fun tricks,” Jake deadpanned. “And, yeah, you’d better. I don’t think Nino would appreciate it if we tried to wait for an opportune moment and his identity got compromised because something went wrong first.”
“You don’t think he’d rather we took out Hawk Moth?”
“I think I’d rather give up one of our identities than his.”
“I mean, if someone has to, I can,” Randy said. “He won’t know me. Nobody knows me. I’m not anyone important and, well, it won’t matter in a few years anyway.”
Jake tried to parse Randy’s meaning and briefly wondered if he had time to ask what that meant when Danny said, “You weren’t thinking of me or Randy, were you? You plan to reveal yourself. You’re really fine with Hawk Moth knowing you’re a dragon?”
“I don’t have a choice.”
Knowing Danny, he was going to protest that, but Randy cut him off before he had the chance, saying, “I don’t see her. I think we lost them.”
It was an obvious change in topic, but Jake took it for the lifeline it was. He spread his wings further to take advantage of another updraft and wheeled around, listening intently. Ear of the Dragon was good for more than just eavesdropping, and— There. Wingbeats. He was right. He picked up the pace, Danny easily matching him. “It doesn’t matter. We know where she’s going.”
“We do?”
“Yeah. Fu updated me on the dragon sightings earlier, but it didn’t click until now. If she was fighting this, then she was running away from Hawk Moth. Then she came back to him and found us. Meaning we were near him, even if we didn’t know it.”
“And you can see or hear her, right?” Danny asked. “So you know she wasn’t just on her way past us to the other side of the city or something?”
“Right. She might be a dragon now, but I’ve been a dragon for longer. My knowledge is practical, not theoretical.”
“I still have it best as dragon rider,” Randy crowed, letting out a whoop. “This is the cheese! Can you go any faster?”
He was fighting the wind now, so going faster without using the air currents to his advantage would mean tiring faster, not to mention giving up all remaining semblance of discreetness, but— Race you back to the gala?” he asked Danny.
Danny dropped his hand, returning them both to visibility as he flashed a grin at Jake. “You’re on!” he called, speeding ahead, and Jake caught a brief glimpse of Danny’s ghostly tail before he vanished from view entirely.

Enter the Nomicon - Chapter 2: Meeting Nomi
.
The early rays of morning cut through Randy's dark green curtains, shining directly in his closed eyes.
"Ugh...five more minutes..." He buried himself deeper into his blankets. However, the soft melodious sound of a flute suddenly jolted him awake.
“What the?” Randy sat up, rubbing his blue eyes before looking around until he realized something. “Where's the Nomicon!?”
Quickly jumping to his feet and forgetting the sound of the flute, he began to search frantically for the book, but came up with nothing.
"Randy, honey, are you awake?"
The teen froze dead in his tracks. Had his mother found the Nomicon? Had she read it?! What if she knew he was the ninja!? Randy swallowed hard, being distracted by the flute. Who was playing that?
Realizing that he hadn't replied to his mother he yelled back, "Uh, yeah Mom, I'm up!"
"Oh, good! Honey, someone is here to visit you. They said they're a friend of yours! He said his name is...Nomi Conikos? Did I say that right? Yeah? Okay sorry there...so I was just going to tell you that I'm going to be gone for the day, so don't stay up too late okay? Just because it's the weekend doesn't mean you can, got it!?"
Randy nodded but stopped when he realized she couldn't see him. "Uh, yeah Mom, got it!" Who the heck was No-me Cone-y-koss?
"Alright then. I'll be on my way. Bye honey!” There was a short pause. “Oh, you should invite Howard over! I made cookies for you three!" She slammed the front door closed.
The flute instantly stopped.  Randy listened to the sound of his mother's car speeding off the driveway before the flute continued its song.
Cautiously, Randy made his way to his door, grabbing the ninja mask out of his backpack before making his way downstairs. He was careful not to make a sound. He trekked down the stairs.
"I know you're there. I can hear you breathing."
Randy nearly jumped out of his own skin at the voice. After catching his breath, he relaxed, not letting his guard down. He walked down the last few steps, skipping the last one.
He poked his head out to see a thin boy wearing a strange cape. It was black with red markings that looked eerily familiar. On the inside of the cape it was similar to the color of an old scroll paper, and it covered him from the nose down, concealing his body from Randy's curious eyes. Another strange detail was that there was a strange glowing green clip of some sort that was shaped like the ninja's mask resting at his chest. The boy's hair was a dark reddish orange, his eyes a dark brown, and his skin was peachy. He held a frown as he stared at Randy.
"I don't bite." His voice held an accent that was extremely noticeable.
“He's Japanese,” thought Randy. He walked towards the redheaded teen, who pulled out a small flute made of bamboo and began playing it. So he was the one who was playing that thing.
“Who the juice is he!?”
Noticing Randy’s expression, the redhead quickly stopped playing the small flute, startling Randy out of his reverie in the process. "You seem confused."
Randy nodded. "Well duh! Who the juice are you—?!"
The other boy quickly silenced the taller of the two with a raised hand. "My name is Nomi-"
"No-mi what?" Randy interrupted him.
The redhead rolled his eyes. "Nomi Conikos, and you certainly are denser than I thought. Makes me question why I chose you to be the ninja."
That caught the teen's attention. "What!? I'm not the ninja! Pfft, I don't-" While he continued to babble (rather pathetically), Nomi raised a brow in slight annoyance and quickly cut him off.
"-Randy Cunningham, I know you're the ninja, and honestly, that was pretty pathetic. Do you honestly want to know who exactly I am, or more precisely, what I am?"
Catching the emphasis on the word, Randy felt himself stiffen, squeezing the ninja mask which he held tightly in his fisted hand. He nodded.
"You're missing the Nomicon, correct?" There was slight hint of annoyance as Randy winced before nodding. "Well let me relieve you of that worry..." He trailed off as if to add a more dramatic effect.
It worked, as Randy clutched the mask even tighter as a bead of sweat rolled down the side of his face. Nomi watched him calmly as he spoke;
"I am the Nomicon."
The news startled Randy so much that he nearly fell flat on his face, but he caught himself. Much to Nomi’s surprise, the taller male whooped. "Ohoho that is sooo totally BRUCE! I didn't know you could do that!"
Randy babbled and boasted on for a little longer, but Nomi’s hand shot out in a blur and landed on Randy's mouth, instantly shutting him up. Randy blinked in shock and surprise.
"Mfmmfph—!"
Nomi watched, amused, as Randy tried to remove his hand from his face. Finally after much a struggle, he removed his hand from his mouth. Rubbing his mouth, Randy glared at the human Nomicon.
"Okay, what was that for!?"
The other boy looked serious. "I can't let any other being apart from the ninja know what I am, who I am, and/or that I can change between forms on my own will." Nomi sighed. "But knowing you, you're going to tell your boyfriend about me. Am I right?"
Randy's face turned red. "Ewwww, dude, I am so not Howard's boyfriend! Secondly we're best friends! BROS! And lastly, duh, I'm gonna tell him! He already knows I'm the ninja."
The redhead frowned. “Yes, I know that. Rule number one is to never let anyone know your secret even if they are your, erm, bros."
Randy pouted, but then remembered yesterday’s incident with the robot mutt. “Hey, how come you didn't help me out when one of Mcfist's robots attacked me!? I was late to school and I had to go to detention!"
Nomi didn't seem fazed by the other teen's anger. "And if I hadn't, you would have been vulnerable, and you would have been thrown halfway across the city, and would most likely have died, so, you shouldn't be scolding me, you should be thanking me." He huffed.
At that Randy couldn't argue and once again pouted. "Fair enough. Hey, how come you never turned human before?"
Nomi's eyes widened before suddenly grabbing Randy's hand and yanking him back to his room. Quickly locking the door, he turned to Randy. In a swift yank he removed the strange cape, revealing a suit.
The suit black and it looked similar to the ninja's suit, but the markings were different. It was the only real difference between the two suits including that he didn't have a mask to conceal his identity like the ninja.
There was certainly more muscle than his cape revealed before. Randy blushed, lightly rubbing his arm. "Err, Nomicon—"
"Just call me Nomi."
"Uh, yeah N-Nomi, what the juice are you doing?!"
The other male seemed confused by his flustered expression. "Concealing my identity so I blend in. By the way, mind if I borrow some of your clothes?"
Randy's face turned a deeper scarlet as the other male began stripping out of his suit. "Y-yeah sure, but mind answering my question?"
The redhead paused before nodding. "Yes."
The two turned away from each other, Nomi removing the black and red suit, and Randy searching through his room for any clean clothes he had discarded somewhere. Finally, he came across a black turtleneck, a light green jacket, a fresh pair of boxers, blue jeans, socks and shoes. He quickly tossed them one by one to Nomi who caught them with ease.
As the redhead began throwing on the clothes, he began his explanation. "I rarely ever reveal my human persona. I only do so if something big is going to happen. I sense the sorcerer has become stronger and will escape soon if not now."
Randy blinked, forgetting the fact that the boy in front of him was still naked, standing only in the grey briefs he had tossed him just a second ago. "So? I'm the ninja. I'm supposed to kick his stanky butt back to where he came from!" With that he struck different common karate poses.
Nomi shook his head before sliding on the turtleneck. "No, I haven't taught you all you need to know to fight him. He is dangerous and being that I am the Nomicon, I know everything needed to fight him and win."
"Then teach me! I can learn it all before he escapes!"
Nomi began tying his shoes. "No ninja can master it all in the short time we have. Only one has."
Randy jumped excitedly. "WHO!?"
"Me."
Once again the Nomicon had left Randy absolutely speechless. He had come to a halt with his excited jumping. "Y-you? But you aren't. I mean you-"
Nomi let out a shaky breath, his back turned to him. "No. I mean...I was at first. I was the very first ninja, and the Nomicon's original creator. I had battled the sorcerer and won. I had imprisoned him myself...except..." The redhead stared at his feet before composing himself back to his serious self. "The bastard managed to fuse my soul with the book. I couldn’t be the ninja anymore...I’ve been choosing a new ninja every year since who was a freshman with a hero’s heart. Of course, back then you had to be at least fourteen years old with a hero’s heart. They not only have to protect Norrisville, they have to protect the world.” Nomi sighed, turning to face Randy. "I've been considered the Nomicon for eight-hundred and a half years. I guess you can't exactly consider myself human anymore." He chuckled bitterly before sucking in a sharp breath. "Which is why I'm here. You can't handle both Mcfist and the sorcerer. I will handle him while you handle Mcfist. The idiot isn't even worth my time. Honestly, I've seen puppies and kittens with more evil intentions than him."
Randy laughed. Nomi gave him a ghost of a smile before he furrowed his brows in thought.
"But Nomi, if I'm the ninja, don't you have to keep teaching me? Maybe you can teach me as much as you can. If you can't teach me everything, then I'll let you fight the sorcerer and I'll just get the benefit of knowledge.”
Randy's suggestion had broken Nomi's train of thought.
The sly grin on Randy's face said it all. A true hero’s heart. Nomi smirked. "Fine, but you either have to be home schooled, or you have to quit school. Or maybe I can go to school with you. I don’t care."
Randy grinned. “Well, Mom definitely doesn't have time to homeschool me, and I can't quit unless I want to get murdered by her, so you'll have to come with me. But how are we going to get you in?"
"I have special abilities that can help."
"Like what?"
"Just trust me," Nomi said. "Now come on. Knowing you, we're going to go to your friend's house to introduce me, so hurry up. We don't have time to lose." He grabbed Randy's old gym bag, stuffing his suit inside. Randy caught a glance at the long sword inside before they began making their way downstairs and out the front door.
...
As they walked, Randy was bombarding Nomi with millions of questions (in which he only answered with a 'yes' or a 'no').
“Hey Nomi?"
"Hm?"
"I saw your ninja sword, or whatever you call it..."
"Okay?"
"How come your sword is bigger than mine?"
Nomi smirked. Randy's face turned red as he quickly realized how wrong the question sounded.
"Well I didn't know you were the kinky type, let alone into men, Cunningham."
The look on Randy's face was beyond priceless.
Still smirking, Nomi chuckled. "Heh, just kidding. No, well I didn't create anything on the suit. I welded my 'long' sword."
At the emphasis of the word 'long', Randy felt his cheeks heat up in embarrassment. "T-then who did?"
The redhead answered with a sense of pride. "My Grandfather Nobuyuki did. He was one of the greatest Sensei’s. He had taught me everything I know now, and so I wrote it all in a book, the Nomicon. My grandfather created the suit with the finest threads, created the strongest metals with titanium and diamonds, and bonded each item together with a magic more powerful than the sorcerer's."
"That is so totally Bruce!" Randy fangirled over the information, but felt a pang of sadness for Nomi.
It must have been terrible to be inside a book for eight hundred and a half years. What about his family? And friends? Heck, what about going to the bathroom? Did he just hold it in?
He didn't get the chance to ask as they had arrived at Howard's home.
Randy knocked on the door. The doorknob jiggled before Heidi, Howard's older sister, answered the door, not opening it all the way. Clicking her tongue, she looked over her shoulder and up the stairs, yelling at the top of her lungs, "Howard, your twig of a friend Dandy-"
"-Randy."
"-Andy is here!"
Howard answered. "I'll be down there in a second! Geez, don't get your panties in a twist!"
"SHUT UP HOWARD!" Heidi hissed. She turned back to Randy before opening the door all the way and was surprised to see Nomi. He stared at her unimpressed as she suddenly giggled girlishly.
"And who exactly are you? Come to see me?"
Nomi snorted. "My name is Nomi Conikos, and I didn't come to see you, you disgusting sea hag...oh wait, that's an insult to them. I didn't come to see your hideous face, especially since you just insulted my friend."
The girl stared utterly shocked. Randy was also shocked. It was certainly a feat to out-sass the fiery redhead and that was obvious when Heidi simply stared, trying fruitlessly to form words. Much to both teens' surprise, the girl let out a dreamy sigh.
"I love a guy who knows how to use their tongue."
Nomi rolled his eyes with a snort just as Howard came downstairs, oblivious to Nomi's insult to his sister.
"Who else did you say was here? I didn't hear-" Howard saw Nomi. The two made eye contact, Nomi's expression unfazed while Howard seemed confused. He looked over to Randy for answers.

I told myself I wouldn’t do this, but I need to put my resurfacing ideas somewhere and might as well let the world see
So, one of like the very first couple posts I made were about RC9GN, and one of them is a very crappy fanart pic of Randy and an Oc (No I’m not putting it here go search my posts, there’s not that many)
Well, guess who just rewatched the entire first season?
And with that rewatching, my brain went, ‘Hey remember that one character you made like a year ago for this? Let’s info dump all of that into your brain so that’s all you can think about for the next hour!’
So now I’m doing an info dump onto tumblr about it. Thank my brain.
Originaly, she was just going to be like a ‘Dark Reflection’ of the original Ninja from another universe
Then I found out the Power Balls are evil mcguffins and learned the land of shadows was a thing and went
‘I can work with this’
So, bing bang boom Alexis Johnson became a thing
At first, she was this really happy go lucky kind of five year old, wearing dresses and all that, and the biggest fan girl of the Norrisvile Ninja
Then she goes for a walk into the forest, you know, like all five year olds do when their mom tells them not to do that and trips over a green thing almost completely submerged in dirt
She tries to get it out and it isn’t going very well until the green thing decides to start shocking her, which immediately gets it yeeted through the trees and out of her line of sight, so great
Going back to the daycare she got scolded for wandering off, so ...not so great
Next day, she sees this weird green mist coming from the high school, and said green mist yotes itself at her. She feels impowered, like she could do almost anything, and went to go tell her mom what happened
She gets to the day care and opon seeing her mother dealing with a Doug with a finger half way up his nose, she decides to not do that and looks for anyone else she could tell instead
Spotting her brother picking on Bucky she goes over to them, then telling Bash to quit it and unintentionally stanking Bucky in the process
Que everyone screaming at a tiny stanked Bucky here
Alexis then figures out that the mist from earlier must have given her superpowers, and feeling everyones terror and vulnerability, along with the urge to make everyone stop feeling those emotions, goes stanking up a storm
During this mess, the Ninja had arrived, and seeing a lot of monster toddlers as well as one power-high superpowered toddler flying overhead, puts two and two together and quickly tries stoping her
Alexis however just starts geeking out over her hero, doesn’t fully recognize what she’s doing is bad, and once she realizes the hero trying to fight her, she gets sad and a little angry and starts fighting back
Those emotions coupled with her power-high opens up a portal behind her to, you’ve guessed it, the Land of Shadows
Those weird snake mouth things start coming out of it, and the ninja gets tackled by said toddler and que toddler starting to feel even more impowered than before, and this time she can see something white crawling up her arms
Alexis promptly freakes out about this, and seeing a window, the Ninja quickly throws her off of him
This is bad, as he unintentionally yeeted Alexis into the portal of mouth snakes
oops
So now we have a child stuck with the mouth snakes entangling her, slowly being pulled into the portal while also having the white (and streaks of neon blue in areas) slowly encasing around her. not fun
What’s even less fun is calling out to the hero for help and only getting a confused stare in return
Que child freak out numero 2
Alexis eventually gets pulled into the land of shadows, and after ten years of living there, learning how to fight with her newfound ninja ability’s as well as stank powers and getting properly battle hardened, she gets out and back to the normal world thanks to the Sorceress and swears revenge on who she once thought was a hero, now going by the alias the Assassin
That’s about as much as an info dump on the Assassin’s backstory as I can do right now, and this got way longer than expected holy crap-

Randy Cunningham in:Three’s a crowd.
It was a cool Friday morning over the bustling city of Norrisville, and atop a sky scrapper stood the hero of Norrisville, The Ninja, Randy Cunningham. No matter how many times he had seen it before he could never get over the feeling he got when he looked out over the city.He smiled, leaned back, then leaped forward off of the sky scrapper, throwing his magical ninja scarf towards a antenna Randy swung over the morning traffic till his scarf released the antenna, flinging him towards the roof of a building. His landing was forceful enough to kick up a small amount of dust which thankfully his mask kept him from breathing.Rising to his feet in a sprint, Randy bolted towards the ledge of the building, leaping off it, Randy grabbed a flag pole and flung himself towards another rooftop. He continued, leaping and running across the rooftops of Norrisville as he made his way towards home.He had been out long enough and his mother was probably awake but she could still be asleep, and stay asleep for just long enough for Randy to cook breakfast for both of them.Soon he would be home now, and once he was, he would rest.
“Meanwhile.”
The sun’s morning rays shined through the cracks in the curtain as the occupants of the hotel slept peacefully in their beds.Until the piercing sound of the alarm clock rang out throughout the room causing the occupants to groan and stir from their sleep.Danny slammed a hand down on the alarm clock silencing the annoying blaring of the clock.Danny stood to his feet and after putting on his shoes, he kicked the side of Jake’s bed startling him from his sleep.
“Ah! I’m up, I’m up!” Jake blurted out as he shook off his morning stupor after shooting up to a sitting position.
Jake looked towards Danny, a scowl forming on his face as his blurred vision corrected itself, revealing the grin of suppressed laughter.
“What the hell was that for?” Jake barked in a groggy tone of voice as he got out of bed.
“Didn’t want you to miss breakfast.” Danny said as he pointed a thumb towards their hotel door.
Jake sighed, grabbed his clothes and shoes, then went to change in the bathroom while Danny waited patiently for him to finish.Soon the boy’s left their room and continued down the hallway.
“Why not just fly to the nearest diner, it would be way better then walking there?” Jake whispered as they reached the doors of the elevator.
“Because we don’t want to draw a lot of attention and a dragon flying around America’s largest city would defiantly bring eye’s on us.” Danny whispered back as he pressed the elevator call button.
“But wouldn’t it help if the Ninja know’s we’re here?” Jake whispered, confused by Danny’s logic.
“Yes, but it might cause the guy who kicked my ass to send people after us, and though I doubt we couldn’t take ‘em, I would rather not start a fight a day after we just got here.” Danny whispered back as the elevator reached their floor, the doors sliding open revealing it to be empty.
“Yeah, that’s a good point I guess, you said earlier that the armored dude took something from you, what was it?” Jake asked in a normal tone of voice after Danny pressed the lobby button on the elevator’s button panel.
“I don’t know, it was a glowing blue crystal and in a sorta glass cylinder, looked like some kind of battery.” Danny answered as the elevator descended.
“Hm, I think after breakfast I’ll call Fu and se-.”
Suddenly the elevator stopped, interrupting the boy’s.They watched as the elevators doors revealing two teenagers who couldn’t have been just a little older than Danny and Jake themselves. The teens didn’t seem to notice the elevator doors open nor did they see Danny and Jake, as the teen boy and girl where too busy fraternizing with each other to notice.Danny feigned a cough which snapped the teens out of their love induced trance, causing them to enter the elevator. The girl pressed the lobby button and the last few moments in the elevator where certainly tense, but upon reaching the bottom floor the two teens made for the receptionists desk, paid for their most likely passion filled night at the hotel, then left in a hurry.Danny and Jake chuckled as the paid for their night as the hotel, passing jokes back and forth about the two teens.Though in the back of Danny’s mind he couldn’t help but feel like he had seen that girl before. He shook it from his mind as his hunger was the most pressing thing on his mind at the moment. After catching a cab to a nearby diner Danny and Jake made their way inside, and approached the counter, soon they where met by a cashier.
“Hey boy’s what would you like?” The cashier asked.
“Yes I would like.”
“Mean while at the Cunningham residence.”
“Scrambled eggs with bacon and toast are done Mama!” Randy shouted up the stairs.
“Thank you son!” Mrs.Cunningham shouted back causing Randy to smile as he placed her plate on the table.
After grabbing his plate, Randy sat down on the couch and began to eat, after taking a bite of his food Randy picked up the t.v. remote and switched it on, then tuned it to a cartoon channel enjoying both his breakfast and entertainment. Suddenly their was a knock at his door, as he got up he prayed that it wasn’t Howard, as Randy had only cooked enough breakfast for him and his mother. When Randy opened the door, he was pleasantly surprised to see that it was Theresa, accompanied by Howard, but at least she was here.
“Morning Theresa, sup Howard, come on in.” Randy said as he stepped aside, allowing them to enter.
“Sup BBro, say whatcha cooking, smells great.” Howard said as he sat down on the living room couch.
“I only cooked enough for me and mom, if I had known you guy’s where coming I’d have made you some.” Randy said as he took off then folded the apron he was wearing.
“Didn’t you eat breakfast already?” Theresa asked with a raised eyebrow, folding her arms as she did so.
“Yes, but I always have second breakfast at Randy’s.” Howard said patting his stomach causing Theresa to roll her eye’s in aggravation.
“Don’t mean to sound rude but why are you guy’s here?” Randy asked as he sat back down.
“I came to make sure you to check-up on you make sure you where doing alright.” Theresa as she leaned against the wall, looking down towards the ground, her face a tad blush.
“And like I said, I came for second breakfast but it seems that ain’t happening.” “Howard said as he folded his arms in mild frustration.
“Well either way I’m glad you guys are here, and I guess I could cook some more eggs and bacon.” Randy said he sat up making his why towards the kitchen.
“Thanks Randy.” Theresa and Howard said simultaneously.
“Meanwhile at the diner.”
Danny and Jake sat in their chairs, leaned back, content after scarfing down their breakfast.Danny looked over at Jake, who was using one of his dragon claws to pick his teeth.
“Well that was pretty good, guess we should start searching right?” Jake asked he got out of his chair.
“Yeah we should, I’ll be, then we’ll be off.” Danny said as he got up reaching into his pocket.
After paying for their breakfast, Danny and Jake left to the diner, found somewhere private, then transformed, and flew out of the alley they had hid in. It would probably take a long time to find The Ninja, but they would find him, no matter what.
“Meanwhile at the Cunningham residence.”
Randy and Theresa sat on the living room couch watching some soppy love movie while Howard took his after-second breakfast nap, Mrs.Cunningham had left earlier to hang out with her girlfriends leaving the teens virtually alone. He hadn’t notice at first but eventually he realized that Theresa had laid her head on his shoulder, which caused him to blush slightly.Theresa smiled before she gently wrapped her arm around his and lovingly grasped his hand, which Randy easily noticed. He smiled and then gently squeezed her hand which caused her to giggle before squeezing it back.Randy glanced over at Howard, who was dead asleep despite a small puddle of drool that was forming on his chest.Randy glanced back at Theresa, “could this really be my chance?” He thought.
“Hey Theresa?” Randy whispered as silently as he could.
“Y-yeah?” Theresa whispered back, looking up at him.
“Um Howard’s gonna be asleep for awhile, and mom’s not gonna be back till the evening, would like to, you know, go out for awhile, just you and me?” Randy whispered back, blushing as he did so.
Theresa’s face turned a bright shade of red but she nodded, and as silently, and as carefully got up from the couch, then made their way to the Randy’s room, once there, Randy grabbed his wallet and phone, put on his ninja mask and opened his bedroom window, Theresa climbed on Randy’s back then he leaped through the window and the two then made their way towards the city.
“Meanwhile with Danny and Jake.”
The boy’s had been searching the city for an hour, and had found nothing. Though frustrating they where both determined to The Ninja, something had to happen that would draw him out in the open. Then they saw it, Danny and Jake. There in what looked like a park was what appeared to be a robotic squid firing green bolts of plasma at several swat vans that where taking a serious pounding from the plasma canons.Danny and Jake looked at each other and nodded.
“I’ll lead it out of sight, then you swoop in for the kill?” Danny said as he pointed towards the plasma blasting squid.
Jake nodded then flew off into a large gathering of tree’s that hid him, while Danny flew towards the plasma spewing squid.Danny landed behind a squad of swat officers, startling them.
“Who the hell are you?!” Barked a swat officer who had stomped over to Danny.
“Danny phantom, you guys take five while I kick this things metal ass.” Danny said as he patted the officers shoulder as he walked by the swat officers.
Danny fly towards the squid and fired a ghost blast at it’s dome that stunned the metal beast.
“Hey you big ugly sea spider, come and get me!” Danny shouted as he blasted the squid again.
The swat officers watched as Danny flew into the forest, with the plasma squid in close pursuit.
“Meanwhile with Randy.”
After landing in an empty ally and pulling off his ninja mask, Randy and Theresa entered the restaurant, Randy blushing proudly as Theresa wrapped her arm around his as they walked in.After getting their seats, they began talking about all sorts of things.Music and movies they liked, their favorite video games, they even talked about the crushes they had on each other despite their embarrassment. The teens paused their conversation and looked at each other, they smiled and blushed before averting their gazes from each other, with Theresa looking down to the floor, while Randy leaned back and looked towards the wall mounted television. When Theresa looked back at Randy she noticed that the nervous yet confident smile he wore moments earlier had turned to a sour look of disappointment and aggravation, this caused her to look at the tv, upon seeing what was being broadcasted live on the news, her expression changed to match his.Swat officers watching a white haired teen, probably a little older than Randy, firing green laser bolts at a squid the size of a house before flying into the woods, with said squid chasing him into the woods. She looked towards Randy who had his head in his hands.
“It’s fine Randy, if you need to go, that’s fine.” Theresa said with a slight sigh.
“Yeah, I’ll go handle this, then swing back for you, here’s my wallet so you can pay.” Randy said as he got up from his chair and tossed his wallet on to the table.
After exiting the restaurant Randy ran back into the ally, put on his ninja mask, then quickly began to make his way towards the park.
“Meanwhile with Danny and Jake.”
Danny flew through the woods dodging some trees or just blowing straight through others with a ghost ray or his ghost blades, while the squid smashed through trees as he chased him. After three long minutes of some of the most hectic flying he had preformed that week, Danny finally made it to a clearing which he hoped Jake was hiding near enough where he could see Danny and the squid fighting.Danny skidded across the ground as he landed in the clearing, the squid slid to a stop as well before it rearmed it’s plasma canons and began to fire at him.Danny took cover behind a rock and shouted for Jake to attack, but nothing happened, Danny sighed and began peaking out and looking at the plasma squid through it’s breaks in it’s plasma barrages as he tried to figure out a plan to bring that thing down, finally he decided.Danny Flew into the air and began blasting at the squid as he flew towards it, Danny then attempted to phase straight through the squid but he slammed against it’s metal and glass dome, this surprised Danny but not as much as it surprised him when the thing grabbed him, and lifted him to it’s face and put a plasma barreled tentacle in Danny’s face.Danny swallowed a lump in his throat as the plasma barrel glowed a bright hot glow as it charged a bolt.Suddenly, there was a loud clang followed by what sounded like sparking electricity, then the squids arm fell off, then the arm that was holding him fell off the squid and landed hard with Danny still in it’s grip, the squid seemed to enter evasive maneuvers as it wildly blasted into the forest.Again there was another loud clang, the squid stopped firing and just stood stock still, then the top of it’s head slid off, followed by the whole thing toppling over.Danny broke the grip on the disembodied robo-tentacle then stood up, looking a the squids body, he saw a black clad figure, with a red scarf waving gently in the slight breeze. The figure turned towards Danny pointing his blade towards him.
“Are you looking for a fight or a friend?” The Ninja asked.
“Friend, and I need to speak to you.” Danny said as he sat on one of the squids tentacles.
The Ninja sighed and muttered something under his breath before getting of the robot and approached Danny.
“Who are you and what do you want?” The Ninja asked, obviously aggravated.
Before Danny could answer he watched as The Ninja’s eye’s widened in shock, then rushed past him.He turned, heard a yelp, and saw his dragon companion with a sword pressed against his neck.
“Wow, hey hold on, he’s a friend.” Danny said as he got between Jake and The Ninja.
“Yes I’m with him, now please put that thing away.” Jake pleaded catching The Ninja off guard with his now apparent ability to speak.
The Ninja then slipped his sword back into his scarf, crossed his arm, then leaned back against a tree as Danny and Jake turned to face him.
“Alright, questions time, who are you guys and what are you doing in Norrisville?” The Ninja said in an aggravated tone, obviously not happy about any of what was happening.
“I’m Danny Phantom and this-” Danny was interrupted when Jake shoved Danny aside and loomed over The Ninja.
“I am the American Dragon, magical protector of the NYC yea heard, you’ve probably heard of me.” Jake said smugly befor getting shoved aside by Danny.
“Um... no I haven’t, I’ve never heard of both of you, now why are you here?” Randy said before asking again.
“Well where here to talk to you be-.” Danny was once again shoved out of the way and interrupted again by Jake.
“Because bad guys mess’in with bad mojo that could destroy the whole country yo, you know, the kind of thing we’ve all fought before.” Jake responded.
“But I believe that it’s much more worse than what I, or Jake, or even you have ever faced alone, which is why we are here.” Danny said as he shoved Jake out of the way.
“To make a team huh, well look I can’t talk about that here.” The Ninja said before cutting off a piece of his scarf and carving something into.
“Here, go to this address, I’ll meet you guys there soon, and if a ginger kid asks who you are just say you’re waiting for Cunningham.” Randy said as he handed the piece of cloth to Danny, before leaping off into the woods.
Danny and Jake both starred at the the address for a moment before turning to each other, somewhat confused.
“Uh do you know how to get there?” Jake asked pointing at the address.
“No... but gps does.” Danny said with a smile as he pulled out his phone.
“Meanwhile with Theresa.”
Theresa pocked and prodded at food in disappointment, she hoped that today would finally be the day she revealed her feelings for Randy, but it now seemed that wasn’t going to happen today. She sighed, but just as she was about to get up and pay, she saw Randy burst through the doors and run up to her table.
“I’m sorry but we need to get home.” Randy said as he put his hands on the table surprising Theresa.
“Oh okay, but why?” Theresa asked confused.
“I’ll explain as soon as we leave, I’m sorry I know this is really sudden but I don’t feel comfortable trying to deal with this without your help.” Randy said as he pulled an undetermined amount of money out of his wallet and slammed it on the table.
Theresa wanted to ask what he mean’t by that, but before she could open her mouth Randy grabbed her hand and before she knew it, they where at the door.Randy pulled Theresa into the ally, put on his ninja mask, Randy drop to a knee allowing Theresa to climb on to his back.Randy then began making his way home, explaining what had happened to him before he returned.
“Okay I get the whole wanting to talk to other hero’s thing, but why do you want me there, isn’t this more your field.” Theresa said as Randy leaped off a building.
“Because If you’re there you can help me if I say something stupid, plus when you’re with me I feel like I can talk normally and take things a little more seriously.” Randy said as they landed on the roof of a building.
Theresa smiled and blushed then tightened her grip on Randy, causing him to blush too.Soon they arrived at the Cunningham household, after landing in the backyard Randy pulled of his ninja mask as Theresa got off his back. Randy approached the sliding glass door with Theresa following close behind, upon opening the door they where both hit with the loud and sudden sound of uncontrollable laughter, followed by a voice.
“Hahaha! Stop, i’m going to pee myself.” Howard blurted as he fell to the floor.
Upon entering the house the three boys locked eye’s with Theresa Randy, the boys looking as though they where fighting back laughter.
“Uh you guys alright?” Randy said, after deciding to pipe up.
Theresa and Randy watched on in confusion as Howard, Jake, and Danny burst into laughter.Theresa and Randy looked at each other, still confused about what was going on.
“What’s so funny?” Theresa asked as she crossed her arms in aggravation causing the boy’s to quell their laughter.
“Ah we’re just extrapolating on what you guys where doing before we got here.” Danny said point towards Randy and Theresa.
Theresa and Randy’s faces turned red with embarrassment as they incoherently try to explain how they weren’t on a date while the boys giggled and laughed at them, taking jabs at them causing them to ramble on about how they totally weren't on a date.Once things calm down and Randy stopped yelling at Howard, Randy turned towards Danny and Jake.
“If you guys are done now, I’d like to know why exactly you guy’s want me to be on your team?” Randy asked as he leaned against the kitchen counter.
“Simple, we know no one else and we’re here in your stomping grounds, figured you’d be willing to help.” Danny said plainly as he looked towards Randy.
“So what do you say bro, you in or out?” Jake said as he propped his feet up on the coffee table.
Randy starred at the floor before turning towards Theresa, who leaned in close.
“What do you think?” Randy asked with a whisper.
“I think you should wait till your mom comes back before you go agreeing to anything.” Theresa answered back causing Randy to sigh.
“We could be waiting a while, she didn’t say when she would be back.” Randy said just as there was a knock on the door.
Upon entering Mrs.Cunningham was surprised to see the extra company that Randy had over.
“Oh am I just in time for the party.” Mrs.Cunningham joked as she placed her purse on the coffee table before shooing Jake’s feet off her coffee table.
“No, but you are just in time for me to ask you a question.” Randy said to his mother, causing an to raise an eyebrow in suspicion.
After a quick explanation from the three boy’s Mrs.Cunningham was silent for a moment before looking towards Randy.
“Randy, I’m not going to lie, this sounds dangerous and you boys are why over your heads with this, but if you really think this is the right thing to do, than I’ll let you go and handle this.” Mrs.Cunningham said with a somewhat somber tone.
“Guess that settles it then, I’ll join the team.” Randy said before Theresa grabbed his his shoulder.
“Hold on, you guy’s barely even have an idea of who you’re chasing and how you’re going to find them, shouldn’t you guys ask some people who might now something like the police or FBI?” Theresa said causing the boys to realize that they had barely anything to go on.
“Yeah, we might need to do some info gathering before we go doing anything rash.” Danny said as he stood up.
“Hey, Cunningham you seem to be forgetting that Fowler’s dad is a like an agent or something like that.” Howard before he continued crunch on his chips.
“Wait is he serious?” Jake asked dumbfounded.
“Yes, yes he is.” Theresa said as she pulled out her phone and gave it to Randy.
“Theresa you do know that it’ll take a moment to explain everything to him right?” Randy asked as he called Mr.Fowler.
“Oh please, he’s know since the first time you put on the mask, he told me after I found out” Theresa said nonchalantly.
“...What?”
“One hour later.”
Mr.Fowler gave them their lead, a weapons dealer by the name of Sam Cain was spotted near the docks, he had been seen dealing weapons to a suspected terrorist group day’s before Danny was attacked. After a few minutes the three boys arrived at the docks landing on a nearby rooftop overlooking a large warehouse. This was it, the teams first test, if they passed this, there would be hope for them yet, if not, then that would be it.The Ninja, the Dragon, the Phantom, all three looked at each other, they would need a plan if they wanted to get at Sam without causing a scene. It was decided, Randy would be on point as he knew the layout of the docks while Danny silently followed, invisible and ready to assist Randy in taking down anyone in their way, while Jake would follow from the rooftops ready to jump in if something goes wrong,The plan was accepted, Danny cloaked and followed Randy down to the ground while Jake leaped to the next roof, as Randy and Danny made their way through the winding maze of shipping containers until they saw to guards smoking and chatting, not really paying attention to their surroundings.Randy climbed onto the shipping container one guard was standing next to, Randy jumped and landed on the guard while Danny grabbed the other one, putting him in a sleeper hold, after knocking him out Danny approached Randy who had subdued his guard.
“Where’s Sam?” Danny asked in a commanding tone.
“Screw you, you ghostly looking bastard.” The guard spat back causing Danny to smirk.
“Ninja, would you please?” Danny asked gesturing towards the guard.
Suddenly a kunai pierced the concert next to the guards face startling him.He whimpered as Randy put the kunai to his throat.
“You better tell us where Sam is before I cut your throat open and dig around for the words inside your throat.” Randy menacingly whispered as he pressed the kunai to the guards throat.
“Um well I huh just so happen to know where he is, he’s in the big warehouse, doing a deal with some military dudes in white armor.” The guard said before Randy knocked him out with a punch to the back of the head.
The boys then continued, making their way towards the warehouse, upon arriving the boys realized that getting in the building would be quite difficult as it was heavily guarded.
“Danny, think you can scope it out, find a way in there for me.” Randy said causing Danny to nod as he floated towards the building.
A few moments of silent, nervous waiting went by, then they heard it.Gunshots, white armored guards began storming into the building, suddenly a van blew through the thin metal walls of the warehouse followed by Danny flying through the same hole.Danny bolted towards Randy and grabbed him by his arms.
“What’s going on?!” Randy frantically asked as he and Danny followed the van.
“Cain’s in the van, the deal went south!” Danny shouted.
“Where’s Jake?” Randy asked.
“He’s following but staying hidden is his primary concern.” Danny answered, causing Randy to think of something.
“Take me to Jake.” Randy commanded.
“Why?” Danny asked confused.
“Don’t ask, just do it!” Randy shouted, causing Danny to sigh.
Danny saw Jake flying high over head, he sped towards him tossing Randy towards him.
“Jake catch!” Danny shouted catching Jake’s attention.
Jake saw Randy and grabbed him, suddenly Randy swung onto Jake’s back surprising him, Randy, using his ninja scarf like the reins for a horse  steered Jake towards the ground.
“Ah, Randy what the hell are you doing man?!” Jake asked confused.
“Getting are man that’s what!” Randy answered as he steered Jake straight towards the van.
As Jake flew towards the van he realized that there was no backing out now.Once close enough Jake grabbed the roof of the van and with a roar and a mighty heave, Jake flipped the van on to it’s side causing it to slide across the street and was only halted when it slammed into a fire hydrant. Jake landed on all fours embarrassed that Randy was pretty much riding horse.
“Randy this better not get me in trouble.” Jake angrily whispered.
“Just shut up, don’t say a word and follow my lead.” Randy whispered back as he waved to the crowd.
A crowd had formed ooing and awing at the ninja and his “pet dragon” which caused Jake to growl in anger.Danny landed next to Jake and patted him on his shoulder calming him slightly.
“We should go get Sam, would ripping open the roof make you feel any better?” Danny asked causing Jake to respond with only a grumble and a growl.
Jake approached the van, Danny and Randy followed close behind and watched as Jake’s claws effortlessly pierced through the roof of the van.Suddenly bullets began tearing through the roof next to Jake, Randy busted open the passenger side window and threw in a smoke bomb which silenced the gunfire but started up series of coughing and cursing from the occupants. Jake tore off the roof, resulting in Sam and his driver fell out.Danny knocked out the drive with swift punch while Randy subdued Sam.
“Ah hey what the hell man, what did I do to you?!” Sam asked as Randy tied his scarf around his hands.
“Sorry Sammy, just need to ask you some quick questions.” Randy jokingly said.
“Who where you selling the weapons too?” Danny commanded as he grabbed Sam by the collar of his shirt.
“I...I can’t tell you.” Sam whimpered.
“If you are afraid of being killed then you don’t have to worry about that as the police are gonna be here soon, now tell me who was your buyer?” Danny commanded once again.
“They... they’re a group, they’re called The sons of liberty.” Sam answered.
“What where they buying? as far as I know your small time Sam.” Randy asked.
“They wasn’t buying from me you asshat, they where selling.” Sam said before realizing that he might have said to much.
“What where you buying Sam?” Danny commanded.
“I was...I was buying...a nuke.” Sam said hanging his head in embarrassment
Shocked and angered Danny slammed Cain against the van with his hand firmly around his throat.
“Where did they get the nuke from, tell me?!” Danny shouted angrily.
“I don’t know, just that-.”
Suddenly with a wet pop, bullet struck Cain in the head causing it to explode in a shower off grey matter and skull fragments which splattered against Danny and Randy’s face.Danny cursed as he frantically tried to rub the blood out of his eye’s while Randy pulled him towards cover, but Jake stood there blank faced from shock at the sudden and violent death he had witnessed. He looked towards Randy and Danny, seeing Danny laying on his back rubbing his eyes while Randy did what he could to help.Jake approached them trying to look over Randy’s shoulder to see if Danny was hit as Randy wiped Danny’s face with his scarf.
“Is he okay?” Jake asked.
“Yeah he’s fine, just got blood all over his face.” Randy said casually helping Danny stand up.
“What about the sniper, we need to get them before they get away.” Danny said but before Danny could take off Randy grabbed his arm.
“In all fairness they’re probably gone by now and chasing them wouldn’t really do much, besides we’ve got a name now, so we should get back to my place, get cleaned up, and plan are next move.” Randy said calming Danny.
"I guess you're right, just wish Sam didn't get killed, we should go before someone catches on that Jake isn't much of a pet." Danny said with a sigh
"Moments later."
Jake just couldn't take his mind off what had happened.       Seeing Cain get killed like that sickened him.Suddenly he felt a pat on his back which finally broke his concentration, he looked back to look at Randy.
"Hey dude you alright? You've been pretty quiet." Randy asked in a sincere tone.
"No I'm not alright, I'm pretty upset right now." Jake said in a sad tone.
"Let me guess, you've never seen someone die huh?" Randy asked.
"Yeah, if you don't mind me asking, have you ever killed anyone?" Jake asked curiously.
"Yeah I have." Randy answered sternly.
"Okay, do you ever get used to it." Jake asked.
"Depends on the person, as for me...no." Randy said, sending a chill down Jake's back.
They ended their conversation there as Randy's house came into view.            The boys landed in the backyard, quickly reverting back to their civilian forms as to not arouse suspension from the Weinerman's, especially Heidi.              The boys entered the Cunningham household and where immediately approached by Theresa, who was carrying a medical get, upon seeing the blood smeared on Danny's face she asked him if he need medical attention but after finding out the blood wasn't his she handed him a moist towel to clean his face. After getting cleaned up the boys called Mr.Fowler once again and after explaining the situation Mr.Fowler was shocked to hear that the son's of liberty where selling a nuke.Mr.Fowler told the boys that if they where serious about finding out what the son's of liberty are up to then they should go to California, as they recently have been spotted there. The boys thanked Mr.Fowler for his help, suddenly a siren began to sound over the phone causing Mr.Fowler to hang up before the boys even got a chance to say anything. It was decided then and there, it was time to get to work.

RC9GP Chapter 8
Research
Twilight Sparkle Paced in front of the doors of her castle. Around her were various crystal pillars, Tapestries, and A staircase leading to the actual castle.
“Twilight darling, you must calm down” Rarity crooned from her place on the stairs with the others. They had been watching Twilight for the past 5 minutes.
“Calm down? Calm down!? Rarity I can’t ‘calm down’ Princess Celestia sent me a letter saying that she wanted to ask me a few questions and that she was on her way here. I mean what does she want to ask me? What if I don’t know the answer? WHAT IF IT’S REALLY IMPORTANT AND I DON’T KNOW THE ANSWER!?” Twilight would have ranted on for quite a while if it wasn't for Apple Jack
“Rarity’s right sugar cube, you need to calm down. This isn’t your first rodeo when it comes to tests and the Princess”
“Yeah, you’re totally gonna nail it” Rainbow Dash stated “right guys?”
The others simultaneously agreed to make Twilight smile.
A fanfare could be heard from outside followed by two of the Princesses royal guards opening the doors. Princess Celestia strode in and gave Twilight a hug. Which Twilight returned.
“Princess, I’m so glad you're here. How was your travel?” Twilight asked after pulling away from the hug.
“It was just fine Twilight. Celestia answered in her usual caring tone “I’m sure you got my letter explaining why I’m here?”
“YES! Yes, I did. I have the library all prepared follow me.
Twilight lead Princess Celestia to the castle's Library and they sat down at one of the tables.
“Can I get you anything to drink or eat?”
“Just some water, thank you”
“Spike, can you get Princess Celestia some water please?”
“Right away Twilight” Spike jogged out of the room and Twilight turned back to Celestia.
“So what did you want to ask me?”
“Do you think you can help me do some research?”
“Say what now?”
“My duties as Princess take up most of my day, and I don’t have much time to do this research for myself. Plus I know how much you love research.”
“Yes! I love research! What do you want me to look into?”
Celestia was about to answer when Spike walked in with her water.
“Here you go Your Highness” Spike chirped placing the cup on the table and leaving.
“Thank you Spike” Celestia called after him, then focused her attention back on Twilight. “I want you to Research the Ninja of Norrisville.
“Isn’t he the pony who saved you?”
“Yes, he is. I saw him a second time after that incident and he performed some kind of spell I did not recognize”
“I thought he was an earth pony?”
“He was, that’s why I want to do some research on him”
“Okay, so what kind of spell was it?”
“Some kind of transfiguration or shapeshifting spell”
Twilight Started pulling various books off the shelf
“Changeling?”
“No, He had wings that appeared to turn into ribbons and become part of his suit”
“Wait? Wings? So he looked exactly like that pegasus Rainbow Dash met in Canterlot?”
“Yes they were the same pony”
“But what was he doing in Canterlot?”
Celestia could only shrug and Twilight continued to look through her books.
A few months Twilight got on a train to the Canterlot Castle to meet Princess Celestia and review what she found
“The only transfiguration or shapeshifting spells I can find are only performed by high-level unicorns and alicorns. So how did he do it? She wondered out loud, still looking through her books.
“ I’m still trying to get over the fact that the pegasus I meet was also an earth pony,” Rainbow Dash said, pushing Twilight’s book down.
“And A Hero” Rarity swooned, then she quickly snapped into a serious mood “But, he REALLY needs to update his outfit.”  She looked around at the others as they stared at her with varying degrees of confusion and amusement.
“What? 800 years in the Exact Same outfit. He Really needs to update”
“Rarity, why don’t we talk about his outfit after we figure out the shapeshifting thing” AppleJack interjected. Rarity gave her an offended look
“Umm… Twilight? Are you sure he’s not a changeling?” Fluttershy squeaked” as Rarity and AppleJack started a small argument.
“Yes, Fluttershy” Twilight sighed. “Changelings have a distinct transformation, Celestia’s description of the Ninja’s does not match. She said his wings turned into ribbons and became one with his suit.” She closed her book and grabbed another “Which is another thing I have not been able to find anywhere” She slammed her book shut with a huff.
“I may not know a lot about magic but spells have to be created, so what if he made the spells himself” Rainbow Dash suggested peeking at the third book Twilight grabbed.
“That’s possible, But once again he would need to be a unicorn or alicorn”
The five barley reacted when Pinkie Pie popped up between Rainbow Dash and Twilight despite being on the opposite side of the both a second earlier.
“What if he wasn’t the one to cast the spell. Instead, somepony cast it on an item that he wears, like his scarf or his mask”
Twilight shook her head “That is a possibility I already looked into. All the spells I found were close, but all of them would require a high-level alicorn to cast it”
“So?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“The Ninja is 800 years old, the only alicorn around at that time was Princess Celestia.” Twilight explained “Why would she ask me to look up a spell she cast? And if she did she would have written it down, so why can’t I find it?
“What if the Ninja is an alicorn?” Rarity wondered out loud
Twilight stared at Rarity with a ‘why didn’t I think of that’ look on her face.
“I mean all the spells that would allow him to pull off the wing trick are all high-level alicorn stuff” Rarity explained, “And if he can make his wing disappear and reappear who says he can’t do it with a horn?”
“Rarity…..You…..Are…..A GENIUS!
“So that’s what my friends and I were able to come up with” Twilight finished presenting all here research to Princess Celestia, even the dead ends.
Celestia looked over the organized chaos of papers, book, pictures, and some videos and smiled. “Great job Twilight, This is way more than I expected for answers”
Twilight beamed with pride
“Ummm excuse me… Your Highness?”  both looked to see a unicorn peeking in through the door, a clipboard in her magical grasp. “You're going to be late for your meeting with the Sultan of Saddle Arabia”
Celestia sighed and shook her head “I’ll be right there Silver Scholar”
The unicorn in question nodded and left the room.
“Well it looks like duty calls Twilight” Celestia sighed as she stood up “Thank you again for helping me with this research”
“It was no problem Princess” Twilight responded “you know how much I love research”
Celestia started making her way towards the door before pausing. She pulled a card out of the desk that was near her and handed it to Twilight.
“What’s this?” Twilight asked examining the card.
“A pass for the restricted part of the library” Celestia responded, “I think you earned it”
Twilight gasped and failed to hold back her excitement “THANK YOU SO MUCH PRINCESS” She hugged Celestia, which she returned.
“Your welcome” Celestia chuckled “Just remember, the books were restricted for a reason”
“I will, thank you again bye!” Twilight rushed her goodbye and her exit in her excitement to get to the library.
Celestia simply laughed at her student's antics and left for her meeting.

so. this post is just gonna be me introducing randy’s amazing mothers who he loves with all his heart.
right around the time randy was about two randy’s mother (Alexandra Cunningham, 25) and father (Marcus Davis, 24) split up after only being together for five years. Alexandra is a nurse in Norrisville’s Cross Hospital and works during the day for the most part, while still being a single mother and taking care of randy. she had friends and family to take over and watch him but most the time she would leave him at day care.
around a year later , Alexandra meets a woman a little older than her , this woman’s name is Maria Green 29 at the time.  she’s a public defense lawyer and dedicated to her job, helping people as best she can. the first time the two ever met was in the hospital, Maria looking for one of her clients and when her and Alex meet they start off as close friends , being there for each other to vent to. over the course of a year the two became very close and started dating.
randy loved Maria from the start , talking her ear off about his day and about the ninja. though right around now he was between the ages of three and four, fast forward to now , randy can hardly remember a time when Maria wasn’t around.
By the age of five he simply started calling her his mom too , she was always around and had moved in with him and Alexandra. Randy hardly remembered his biological father as he was only two when he left , and then Maria was here. clearly showing love both for Randy and his mother. It just felt , normal. he had two parents who loved him, and he loved back.

Bucky's dad died when he was only 4 years old, so he kinda doesn't really remember him that much, but when Harry and Darren found out about Bucky's dad, they both decided to become the best father figure or the best male role model to him.

Secret Quartet: In a Flash Part 1
Why do I do this to myself? Ok so I freaking love the Secret Quartet AU by @queenofhearts7378 and I’ve had idea for a story for awhile now and here it is!
------------------------------
Plagg woke up with some weird feeling, he didn’t know what it was but but he felt different some how. Maybe some camembert would make him feel better.
“ADRIEN! Get up! I want some camembert!”
Plagg flew over to the bed and saw a large lump hiding underneath the covers. Adrien wasn’t really one to cover himself with so many sheets, maybe he wasn’t feeling well?
“Adrien are you ok? You’re not sick are you? Who’s going to bring me my camembert?”
The lump moaned and slowly pushed the sheets off the bed. But to Plagg’s surprise it wasn’t Adrien.
“RANDY!?! What are you doing here? Where’s Adrien!?”
Randy jumped out of bed nonchalantly and gave Plagg a weird look. “Plagg, what are you talking about? Who’s Adrien?”
“Adrien? Adrien Agreste!”
“Agreste? Is he a cousin I don’t know about? Did you hear that from father..... YOU DIDN”T SNEAK THROUGH THE HOUSE LOOKING FOR CHEESE AGAIN DID YOU?” Randy facepalmed revealing the craziest thing Plagg had seen all morning (and that was saying A LOT) On Randy’s hand was the cat miraculous.
Plagg was dumbfounded, he flew around Randy like a fly.
“Plagg stop it! I’ll get you some camembert in a minute just let me get dressed!” Randy swatted at Plagg as he walked to the closet.
“But, But!”
A female voice called out from outside the door. “Randall! You’re going to be late for school!”
“Coming, Nathalie! ” Randy shouted back as he put on his sneaker. He walked to the door and looked back at Plagg who was still trying to process all this. “Plagg, come on, I’ll get you some camembert at school.”
Plagg sighed and reluctantly got in the bag. Something was very off and only he seemed to notice! He could only imagine the trouble Adrien could be in right now.
----------------------------------
“This is the best day ever!”
“Why is that kiddo?”
“To be honest, I can’t put my finger on it. I just feel so happy for some reason.”
Adrien devoured down his breakfast with a smile as Mr. long sat next to him reading the newspaper. “Well I’m glad you’re in a chipper mode Adrien, I can see that your dragon work can be very stressful!”
Haley ran in and took a seat at the table with a big perky smile, “Well if it’s stressful Adrien I could be the American Dragon instead!”
“Even Haley’s annoying comments can’t keep me down! I just feel so.....” Adrien looked up from his plate and took a good long look at Mr.Long, Haley, and Mrs. Long. “Grateful!”
Mrs. Long came from behind Adrien and took his plate, “Well Mr. Grateful, I think it’s time to head to school. You can’t be late again!”
“Don’t worry mom, I’m heading out now.” Adrien got up and gave each Long a great big hug and ran out. He popped his head back in the kitchen one more time, “I love you all so much!”
As Adrien dashed outside, Haley looked to her parents, “He’s seems a little different right?”
Mr. Long looked up from his paper, “I don’t know, I think it’s nice that Adrien’s in such a happy mood this morning.”
Mrs. Long put the plates in the sink, “I wonder whats gotten into him today.”
---------------------------------
“FENTON!”
Jake was running for his life, Dash was so going to kill him. “AWWWW MAN! Where’s a ghost when you need one!?!”
Jake was so distracted with his Dash predicament he didn’t even notice Tucker and Sam in the hall until.
CRASH
“Seriously Jake? You’re not only crushing my spine but I’m pretty sure you broke my PDA.”
Jake got off Tucker and offered him some help getting up. “Sorry dawg, I’m kinda on the run from Dash right now.”
Sam, who stepped out of they way before she could be crushed, couldn’t help but ask, “What did you do this time?”
“Well, I don’t have time to tell you the whole story but it involves Dash, his underwear, and a report on the history of the olympics.” Jake looked to his friends sheepishly.
Tucker tried holding in his laugher while Sam hid her amused smirk. “Jake, why don’t you just turn invisible?”
“Oh, duh!” Jake turned invisible just in time to see Dash run pass.
“You can run Fenton but you can’t hide!” He stopped when he saw Tucker and Sam. “You two! Where’s Fenton?”
“Who Jake?” Tucker asked with an innocent smile.
“Haven’t seen him all morning.” Sam opened up her locker and pulled out her books as if nothing happened.
While still invisible Jake flew into Dash and had some more fun, “Hey guys! Let me tell you about the one olympic event only the Greeks had!” Jake as Dash pulled down Dash’s pants to reveal his boxers, “SWIM SUIT COMPETITION!”
Dash’s yelling garnered a lot of attention from the other students and soon the whole student body surrounded Dash taking pictures and videos of the poor jock in his boxers. Jake left Dash’s body and soon Dash regained control of his body.
“Wh- What happened? Oh no.... it’s happening again. FENTON!”
Dash ran down the hall with the whole student body following, when the coast was clear Jake turned visible again, “That’s about what happened about five minutes ago in Lancer’s english class.”
“Was that really necessary?”
“Well that’s what he gets for making me eat his underwear!”
--------------------------
“Cunningham! Hurry up!” Howard had been waiting at Cummimgham’s door for 20 seconds, 20 SECONDS, he was getting impatient.
“Wait a honking second Howard I’m coming! Nomicon’s being Wonk!”
“That’s weird...” Howard thought to himself. “That doesn’t sound like Cunningham...”
The door slammed and out came...
“Danny? What the juice are you doing here?”
Danny gave Howard a confused look. “Howard you were calling for me to get out and now your asking why I’‘m here?”
“No, I was calling for Cunningham, where is he?”
“I’m right here, Howard.”
There was an awkward silence between them for a moment, then Howard burst out laughing. “Ohoho I get it, this is some kind of joke, right? Ok where’s Randy with the camera?”
Howard expected Danny to laugh at the revelation of the prank, but he wasn’t laughing. “Who the Juice is Randy?”
Howard was getting a bit concerned now. “Randy Cunningham, My best friend, he’s the ninja!”
“Howard, I’m the ninja!” As Danny said this he pulled out the ninja mask from his pocket. “Now let’s go, if we’re late again, mom’s cutting my allowance for the rest of the month.”
Danny walked past Howard on his way to school. Howard decided to go along with this for now, he was sure that Danny was just keeping up the act, but just to be sure.. “Ok, if your Cunningham then how’d we meet?”
“Bathtub when we were 3.”
“Correct..... hmmmm Where do smoke bombs come from?”
The questions went on and on until they got school. The two walk through the front doors with Danny getting really sick and tired of Howard’s endless questioning.
“How about this, who was the-”
“HOWARD THAT’S ENOUGH!”
“Ha, so you admit you’re not Cunningham!”
“I AM CUNNINGHAM! DANNY CUNNINGHAM!”
“Hey, you two!”
The boys looked to see a girl with bright blue eyes and long, curly, ginger hair approach. “You’re going to be late to class! Get going!”
Danny nodded and started walking up the stair but Howard just gave this girl a look, “Who the juice are you?”
The ginger was taken back by this and Danny’s eyes widened with fear, he immediately dashed back to Howard and the girl. “I’m so sorry Penelope, Howard didn’t mean it. You see I think he hit his head last night or something cause he’s been acting super wonk this morning!”
Howard couldn’t believe what he was hearing, “No, you’re the wonk one Danny! Where’s Cunningham?”
“For the zillionth time, I AM CUNNINGHAM!”
“Enough!” The girl snapped at the two of them. “I’ll forgive this offense if you two leave now!”
“Yes Penelope, come on Howard!” Danny grabbed Howard’s hand and dragged him up the stairs.
“Danny, who was the girl?”
“Are you messing with me right now Howard?”
“No I’m not! I’ve never seen that girl in my entire life!”
Danny sighed, “That was Penelope Beal, the student council president and the most popular girl in the whole honking school, how can you not know who she is?”
“Most popular girl in school? Then how come I’ve never heard of her?”
“Of course you’ve heard of her, everyone’s heard of her!”
Howard wanted so badly to fight Danny on this but he decided against it. If this was a joke then Randy would have revealed himself by now. Howard decided he’s roll with this until he could figure out what was going on around here.
----------------------
In the Hallways of Norrisville High
“This is a disaster!” The ginger girl was passing back and forth, frustrated and annoyed.
“My powers should have altered everything perfectly! But that stupid kid still has his memories of the old reality! WHY IS THAT!”
She stayed quiet and listened carefully, green stank soon surrounded her. “Our power is unstable my child.”
A butterfly mask appeared on the girl’s face, “Yes, I’ve never dealt with anything like this.”
“Likewise, just who are you?”
“I am Hawkmoth! and you are?”
“I’m the Sorcerer! Pleasure to cause chaos with you.”
“Hawkmoth, Sorcerer,” they girl called, “What happened? Why is there still remnant’s of the previous universe here?”
“I’ve never joined my powers with another before, but I’m please with the power it has given you.”
“Even with the sorceress I could never alter reality the way you did, but the power’s unstable.”
She clenched her fists, “Meaning?”
Hawkmoth spoke, “Meaning that your power isn’t flawless and those flaws resulted in some imperfections in this reality.”
“Others are bound to notice the changes yo- we’ve made.”
“Well then, I’ll just find every imperfection in this world.....”
The ginger’s eyes changed from blue to a dark red, “And I’ll snuff out anyone who gets in my way.”
The two men laughed with villainous pleasure and left their combined effort to her own devices, changes are coming.... and they can’t wait to watch the world burn.
------------------------------
What happened to the quartet?
Who is Penelope Beal?
Why does she have connection to the Sorcerer and Hawkmoth?
Find out in part 2
(Whenever that comes out.....)
But seriously, I had so much fun writing this and I’d love to hear the feedback for the story. If you guys have ideas, head cannons, suggestions, etc. Please send them to me, I’d love to hear them.  I’ll try to continue the story as often as I can. I hope you enjoy!

Sleepover at Randy’s
AO3
So, exactly one year later, I'm posting the first chapter of the Danny Phantom and RC9GN fanfic, “Sleepover at Randy’s”! Co-written/edited with the fantastic @narwhalsarefalling , who was helping me with it in the beginning of January before I went MIA for a few months. Whoops.
Summary: Danny needs a place to crash after arriving at Norrisville to assist with a Ghost attack. Of course, Randy jumps at the opportunity to make this the best sleepover in the history of sleepovers. Nothing ever goes as planned.
"This is gonna be so honkin' Bruce!" exclaimed Randy excitedly as he rushed about his room pulling supplies out and simultaneously picking up various items littering his floor to tidy up for his guest as he went, pausing for a moment fist pumping the air with an overdramatic announcer voice, "This is going to be the Brucest sleepover in the history of sleepovers EVER!"
After watching Randy zip around the room miraculously managing to avoid tripping over the wooden table in the center of his room in his haste multiple times, left Danny already regret agreeing to stay the night in Norrisville.
How did this happen you may ask?
Earlier that day, Tucker had got a hit for ghost activity by searching multiple search engines in a fit of boredom and found a live broadcast from 'Heidi at School in Norrisville'. Tucker made an offhand comment about how hot Heidi was before telling Danny, "Remember that Ghost Worm Valerie's been after? Yeah, that thing turned up in Norrisville and by the looks of things, that Ninja dude you befriended is fighting it and losing. So, you might want to go up there and capture it before that school no longer has a Ninja." So of course, Danny flew top speed to help Randy out before he got himself killed. No matter who you are, no one wanted to be known as the guy that has, 'killed by an overgrown worm' on their gravestone.
After arriving on scene Danny jumped into the fray leaving a shocked, torn up Ninja sitting on top of a lamppost to stare at him in surprise at the unexpected backup, but quickly regained his composure and conjured up a few Sandja's. Shockingly the Worm put up a pretty good fight, tunneling underground in a matter of seconds to avoid attacks.
“Well, that explains how it got out of Amity so fast,” Danny mumbled as the worm dug through the pavement, narrowly missing his ectoplasmic blast.
The Ninja used an Earth attack to bring it back to the surface after the Sandja's located its burrowing location, the ground force brought it up like a sledgehammer ramming it skyward where Danny quickly intercepted by sucking the weakened ghost into the Fenton Thermos.
Despite looking pretty banged up with their attire covered in scuff marks and dirt, the bright grins they wore showed that the fight just lifted their spirits, accomplished laughs left them as they tiredly high fived. After conversing for a few minutes to catch up, Danny planned on heading back to Amity Park immediately afterward. The problem was; Danny left around five thirty and checking his phone revealed that the ghost fight plus the flight over took longer than expected, there was no way he was going to make it back in time for curfew.
"Dang it, there's no way I'm going to get back in time before my parents ground me." Danny groaned dejectedly, sweeping a hand through dirt-covered hair from out of his face. "If I leave now, I might be able to make it back before midnight."
The Ninja scratched his chin, appearing thoughtful. "Not that I didn't appreciate the help- the fact that you flew all the way up here to help with one of your enemies is both touching and at the same time partially your fault it managed to get up here-," Randy didn't seem deterred when Danny sent an offended glare his way, "But I could have handled it."
"It didn't look like it. Didn't feel like taking that chance."
"But now you're so wonked!" Randy cut in, "Now you're going to be flying back late at night without getting any sleep! Unless..." Suddenly the Norrisville Ninja trailed off in a conspiring tone that immediately set Danny on edge, whenever Randy spoke in that voice it meant that he had an idea, and most of Randy's 'plans' always ended with Danny not liking the results. Bright blue eyes gleamed in hopeful excitement through the mask as he practically bounced from foot to foot, scarf swishing about like a tail, strangely reminding Danny of Tigger in a black and red detailed suit.
"You can sleep over at my place!"
Knew it.
"No."
"What? Come on, it's not like you have anywhere else to stay. It'll be the cheese!"
"Last time you asked a question involving your house, you wanted me to live in your garage."
"I thought you were homeless!" Danny gaped at him, not certain whether to be offended or worried that he probably wasn't the first person Randy has invited someone to live with him. "Sides, that was last time. This time I'm asking you to spend the night, not move in."
"What about Howard?"
"Howard's grounded," Randy stated simply. Originally they did have plans to sleep over at Randy's and have a Grave Puncher marathon, but it turns out when you throw a boomerang in the house it's bound to break something, or in Howard's case, a few windows.
"What about your mom? is she going to be okay with letting a kid she hardly knows spend the night?" Danny challenged crossing his arms.
Randy laughed to the point that Danny didn't know whether it was forced or if he had a weak lung.
"Of course! Besides she's going to be gone for the night so we'll have the house to ourselves."
Danny remained uncertain, Randy could be... too much to handle sometimes. From his excitable personality to his nonstop chatter, Danny knew it was going to be a sleepless night unless Danny could stop at a nearby tea shop and find some chamomile tea. Sam said that it was guaranteed to knock you out. He could force Randy to drink it.
"Come on, please? Just stay the night, you can leave tomorrow when it's daylight. It’ll make me feel better knowing you won’t get so tired and drop out of the sky."
Great. Randy was now giving him the look. The one where you looked simultaneously pleading, disappointed and you just lost your best friend all combined into one, with a side order of a kicked puppy and Randy was pulling it off fairly well. Danny was in a love-hate relationship with that look, at times he could use it to his advantage to guilt trip someone, but on the other hand, he was pretty weak to its charms as well. Danny knew his resolve was steadily crumbling, eventually, he'll give in. Especially since that expression looked kinda cute on Randy if he was being honest with himself- in a dorky way that was Randy Cunningham of course.
"...Fine." Danny finally relented, arms dropping to his sides as Randy whooped happily, "But first! I need to pick up a few things and then I'll meet you back at your house, okay?" Danny said as Randy nodded agreeingly.
"Of course! I'll go and get everything set up for when you get there. See ya later! Smokebomb!" On that note, Randy threw a ball down before disappearing in said cloud of smoke; Danny coughed, fanning the stench filled cloud away from his nose. Though if you looked down the street you could see a faint retreating figure scarf-slinging his way across town, happy shouts carrying along the wind but too distant to make out clearly in his departure.
Thank god it was Friday.

Introductory Post [Meet the Mod + Rules]
Okay, good timezone, everyone!
I figured I might as well introuce myself and the blog. This is mostly meant to be an interactive blog regarding a crossover known as “Five Nights at Whoopee’s” - ft. Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja and Five Nights at Freddy’s. I may also refer it to as an “alternate universe”, but even then!
My name is Danny, I use they/them and neopronouns. I am bodily an adult and have auDHD (autism and ADHD); I am also a system, as well as suspected BPD. I also do have a life which is one of the main reasons I get on tumblr at odd hours of the day- I tend to sign off my posts with “Mod Danny” but if we do ever bold one who’s fronting, this may change!
Now to get onto the subject of business, these are the rules and guidelines of the blog.
Guidelines of Five Nights at Whoopee’s
~ Be respectful and courteous when interacting with the blog. Throwing around insults or using slurs will not be tolerated; I do not take kindly to unnecessary disputes.
~ Keep drama out of the blog! Please. This is meant to be a fun, interactive space; any issues you have with people shouldn’t be brought into this! I don’t want to deal with others’ personal problems- I apologize if that sounds harsh, but sometimes a fandom space should simply be a fandom space and nothing else.
~ Political matters will not be brought up on this account. That is what my main blog is for- at least in part, but please- I am asking you kindly to leave this space for the crossover.
~ Anyone is welcome to interact with the crossover. As long as you are not going to be causing problems, you are more than welcome to talk here!
~ When it comes to asks, you can either speak directly to me as the owner of the blog or you can also ask questions to the characters. (Once I figure out how to manage the asks that is!)
~ Do not ask me to make you part of the mod team unless I am actively ‘hiring’ for that! Details are still being worked out in regards to not only lore, but how this blog properly works!
~ This is not meant to reflect the full canon of Five Nights at Freddy’s, and any attempt to be rude about how ‘accurate’ it is will not be tolerated.
~ Due to the mature content of the crossover, I do ask that you tread with caution- NSFW themes will not be breached, at all. (there are other spaces for that); However, there will be talks of any of the following subjects: murder/death, child neglect, discussions of serial killings, and more.
~ There will be times when asks about lore might not be answered, and this is purely to avoid spoilers ahead of time. After certain points, they absolutely will get talked about but I’d hate to give early spoilers!
~ Guidelines will change as the blog expands! For now this is all I have
Now to get onto the main order of things, I’m going to briefly talk about what to expect from the blog itself! Once more- this is the summarization of the plot!
Five Nights at Whoopee’s follows an alternate timeline on Norrisville; almost thirty years before the current timeline, Whoopee World was a pizzeria joint- it was a family-friendly establishment, bringing fun and joy to adults and children alike. That was until a missing children’s incident devastated the city. No one knows what happened to the missing five, but somehow love for Whoopee World continued, leading to the expansion of the company and created an amusement park.
In current times, young engineer Ellis Winslow is hired to Whoopee World; they handle the repairs and technical support of the mascot Whoopee, and the other animatronics- that is until things start going strangely. Following the disappearance of her childhood best friends, Ellis and the current night guard (who I’m currently keeping private until the poll ends on my main-blog!) are about to uncover what really went down all those years ago…
The blog is not only meant to dive into headcanons, lore, and characters but also acts as an interactive ask blog. You will be able to ask questions both to myself- and the characters within the crossover! Certain characters will more than likely be kept omitted for obvious reasons, but since things are still being developed- I do prefer asks be kept to me and not the characters!
(author's cut: as soon as i have a few things squared away, i'll open asks to the characters!)
Until next time!

~0~
The four teenagers were chilling in their European friend’s large bedroom.
They were sitting in silence, the only sounds coming quietly from the television where Danny and Jake were playing a video game together. Adrien was working on his homework, and Randy was watching the video game.
However, the latter teen was quietly fidgeting, playing with his fingers and constantly shifting positions from his spot on the sofa.
No one seemed to notice, though, since they were all engrossed in their own activities.
“Um… hey guys?” Randy spoke up, and looked around. No one reacted, so Randy decided to continue. “I-”
“Aw come on!” Danny shouted suddenly, startling Randy to make him look up.
Jake smirked at him and laughed, “Ha! I’m totally beating your ghosty butt!”
Danny growled, “New game, dragon breath!”
Jake sneered back, “You’re on, sheet face!”
“What? I don’t wear a sheet!” Danny retorted.
“Well, ghosts do in those old timey Halloween movies!” Jake mentioned.
“Those are so inaccurate!”
“Whatever, let’s just play!”
Randy paused to watch the two bicker before they began playing again. He cleared his throat, “So… as I was saying before…” He glanced around at his friends, none of whom were paying attention, “If you guys wanna come over to Norrisville and watch a movie…” He still continued, his eyes flickering between Danny and Jake.
“What movie?”
Randy jumped and turned around to look at Adrien, who was studying at his desk. He scratched his head, “Well, not a specific movie, but generally watch movies and hang out.”
Jake shrugged, his eyes still glued to the video game, “That’s cool, dawg. When?”
Randy looked around more, “Uh… tomorrow?” He asked uncertainty.
Danny shook his head, “No can do, got homework.”
Randy pursed his lips, “Friday?”
“No for me,” Jake spoke again. “Gotta train with G after school.”
Randy frowned, “Saturday, then?”
“Sorry,” Adrien said this time, “I have fencing practice, Chinese lessons, and then a modeling gig.”
Randy’s face fell, his eyes dilating sadly, “Sunday?” He tried tiredly.
“Sure,” Jake said.
“Good for me,” Danny added.
Adrien nodded and flashed a thumb up at Randy, “I’m clear then.”
Randy straightened up and grinned brightly, “Bruce! Just come to my house! I’ll see you guys then!” He jumped up and ran to their portal, flashing back home.
The three boys stared as the other teen disappeared in a flash of light.
“What’s he in such a rush for?” Jake muttered, “It’s only three.”
Danny shrugged, then turned back to the TV screen, “Ha!” He laughed, his fingers flying over the buttons on the controller in his hands.
Jake swirled back to the screen quickly, “Cheater! You can’t unpause without me-!”
Adrien laughed lightly as the two began bickering again, then turned to his papers in front of him. Something about Randy’s behavior made him expect something different from him. He smiled and picked his pencil up again to continue his work.
~0~
All of a sudden, three flashes of light burst from the ceiling in the room, and a figure fell from each. Unexpecting the unusual height of their fall, three figures screamed in surprise, before falling into a pit.
Within seconds of their plummet, they resurfaced with large gasps.
“What the heck?” Jake shouted, “Where are we?”
Danny grabbed one of the colorful orbs surrounding them carefully, “Looks like a ball pit.”
Adrien glanced around, “I think he means the weird arcade place.” He pointed around, and the three of them observed the large room with multiple arcade games.
The three of them eased out of the pit of balls and carefully looked around.
“Don’t touch anything,” Danny warned, and the other two nodded.
Jake stuffed his hands into his pockets and looked around, letting out a low whistle from his lips, “Yo this arcade is sicker than your place, Casanova.”
Adrien frowned at him.
Plagg zipped out of his pocket, “Wow…” He looked in awe, “I agree with the punk.”
Adrien snatched Plagg from the air and put him in his shirt again, “Plagg! We don’t know who’s around!”
Plagg muttered something, but Adrien ignored him.
Danny went towards the large door of the arcade and slowly pushed it open, finding a hallway. Glancing around, he waved Adrien and Jake, “Come on, it’s clear.”
They stepped out of the room and found an open area with several other doors in the hallway. Off to the left they also found a set of stairs.
“Which way?” Danny asked quietly.
Jake shrugged, “When in doubt, go down?”
Adrien shared an uncertain glance with Danny.
“Okay, whatever,” Danny agreed, and the three stalked forward.
They made it down the first set, lowering down to the next floor, when a voice called out.
“What the juice?”
They only knew a few people who spoke like that.
“Randy?” Jake gasped. “'What the juice' are you doing here?”
Randy, who looked like he was approaching the stairs the boys were coming down from, stiffened.
Adrien raised an eyebrow, “What are you wearing?”
Randy was wearing a blue dress shirt and a brown vest with a pair of navy blue dress pants. It was something the others had definitely never expected him to wear. “It’s, uh…” He shook his head, “How did you guys get here?”
“We fell into the ball pit,” Danny explained, jerking a thumb behind him.
Randy’s eyes widened, and he coughed. “I didn’t expect you guys so early…”
“Early?” Jake repeated, “It’s already four.”
“It is?” Randy gasped.
Danny shook his head, “Anyways, where are we?”
Randy rubbed the back of his neck, “Yea, so… follow me guys.” Without another word, he rushed forward, climbing down the stairs.
The others rushed to follow the nervous boy down. They reached a large lobby like area, decorated with beautiful golds and browns.
Randy ignored their sounds of awe and confusion, leading them outside the large doors. He waited for them to reach him, before going down the steps at the porch area of the building.
“Uh, guys… this is my home.”
Adrien turned his stare to the building. A large mansion stood proud, with five floors, easy.
Jake and Danny stared at the building with shock.
“Shut up, man,” Jake reacted first. “You live in that small house near Howard.”
Danny crossed his arms and nodded, “Yea. Randy. Tell us the truth; who’s house is this?”
Randy waved his hands in front of him, “No guys! I’m serious! My parents are the owners of Cunningham Enterprises! My parents!”
There was silence.
Adrien took this moment to speak up, “It’s true, you guys.”
“No way!”
“How do you know?” Danny raised an eyebrow at Adrien.
Adrien scratched his cheek, “Well… he actually needed a suit from my dad a while ago, and told me about it.”
Jake’s face fell and he turned to Randy, “You told Adrien but not us?”
Randy flinched, “I’m sorry guys… I don’t really like to be here. That’s why my parents let me stay in the other house… I’m normal there.” He sighed, “I didn’t want you guys to be mad with me…”
The three boys stopped, staring at their friend.
“Randy…” Jake muttered.
Danny stepped forward, putting his hand on Randy’s shoulder, “You know, this is kinda exactly like what Sam did to Tucker when she confessed the truth. She’s got rich family too.”
Randy’s eyes widened.
“And you know what we did afterwards?”
Randy shook his head innocently.
Danny smirked, “We had a sleepover.”
Randy froze, then he jumped up, “That’s perfect! We have a huge movie theater room! And a pool! And a game room! And-” He stopped, looking at Jake.
Jake met his eyes and nodded. He held out his fist, “We’re cool, dawg.”
Randy grinned and pounded his fist with Jake’s. “Alright!” He rushed into the mansion, the others following him quickly. “Miss Graham!” He shouted from the top of his lungs when entering.
The others groaned at the sudden yell.
A calm voice spoke right after, “Yes Randall? Was it really necessary to shout that loud?”
Randy laughed, “Miss Graham, get the snacks! We’re having guests!”
Ms. Graham gave him a blank stare.
Randy stiffened, “Please!”
She sighed, “It’s about time. I will meet you in the theater, I presume?”
“You bet!” Randy shouted, rushing forward to the stairs. “Hurry up guys, it’s on the third floor!”
Jake groaned, “Don’t you have an elevator in here?”
“Sounds like someone is slacking off,” Danny snickered.
“That is so not the case man! We just came down these steps, anyways!” Jake retorted.
Miss Graham smiled at her dependent as the voices of boys faded away. Yes, she was happy that Randall had finally revealed his secret to his friends.

Happy birthday, @queenofhearts7378! I managed to get it done in time. I wrote you a Secret Quartet ficlet.
Summons: The request to appear before the Dragon Council was...unexpected. And impossible to refuse. [FF | AO3]
“A summons?” Adrien repeated dumbly as he read over the mysterious letter in the relative safety of his bedroom. He’d found it stuffed in between sheets of piano music while practicing after lunch and had begged off to ‘study’ soon after. Fortunately for him, Nathalie had let him go. “Can they do that?”
“Dragons like to think they have authority over the entire magical world,” Plagg said. Adrien felt the kwami land on his shoulder. “They don’t, but enough people act like they do that they can get away with it.”
“This…. It says they want to evaluate my magical ability and assess the risk of exposure of the magical world.”
“Which just means Jake hasn’t told them about me and that they don’t believe you can keep a secret.” Plagg sniffed. “You better transform. They didn’t give you much warning.”
“What do you mean, they didn’t give me much warn—?” But the paper was turning to ash in his hands, and wind that shouldn’t exist inside his bedroom caused the remains to swirl around him. Adrien cried out for Plagg to transform him as the miniature whirlwind thickened, and then it closed off his view of his room completely.
XXXX
When the whirling ash cleared and the dizzying sensation of being caught inside it abated, Adrien found himself standing on the stone floor of some kind of open-air temple. A bright mosaic spread out around him, depicting a battle between two dragons whose names he didn’t know. Columns rose on either side, and between them….
Well, between the nearest pair of columns stood someone who looked very much like an elderly man dressed sharply in blue, but Adrien had no doubt that he was much more than he appeared to be.
“Chat Noir. Bienvenue.” The man inclined his head. “I am Councillor Kulde. Please, come with me.”
Adrien didn’t move. “This is the Isle of Draco.” It was more statement than question at this point; he didn’t know where else he could be. “Why am I here?”
“You are here because it is necessary for us to meet,” answered Kulde, “just as it is necessary for us to meet your friends.”
Kulde was a dragon, which meant the friends he was talking about were Randy and Danny. Adrien shifted his weight, readying himself to run if it proved necessary. He doubted he could outrun a dragon, but he might have a chance if he could make it to the trees where Kulde wouldn’t be able to easily follow him. “They’re here, too?”
“Councillors Andam and Omina are greeting them,” Kulde said, as if that explained anything. As if that made a difference.
“So you kidnapped us?”
“You answered our summons.”
“How is this a summons? I was hardly given a choice!” Anger wouldn’t win him any favours, but it was hard to keep his emotions out of his voice.
“The summons were enchanted to come only when you all would not be missed. You needn’t worry about being discovered. We are careful.”
Adrien wanted to run, to fight, to do anything but go along calmly, but diplomacy was the only thing that might help him—help them—right now. Randy was hopeless at it, Danny little better, and Jake…. Jake still had a lot to learn. If anyone was going to speak for them, it would have to be him.
He couldn’t afford to give Kulde any more than he already had.
“Very well.” Adrien was careful to keep his voice level. Reserved. He tried to emulate his father. That was easier than relaxing his stance. “Please lead the way.”
XXXX
“This is wonk,” Randy insisted as he trailed after the guy who’d introduced himself as Councillor Andam. “You don’t need to put us on trial!”
“No one is on trial,” Andam said calmly. He didn’t pause, and Randy had to run to keep up—not an easy task, given the rocky terrain at the base of the mountain. Or volcano? Whatever it was. Maybe a volcano, considering how much it looked like the base of Mt. Chuck. Either way, he didn’t want to get left behind here, especially not when he was pretty sure Jake had said something about sections of this island being booby-trapped.
“It’s not like Jake told us about the magical world. We found out on our own.”
“Many have discovered it on their own,” agreed Andam.
Randy waited, but Andam didn’t give any indication that that was okay.
And Jake had mentioned how he technically should’ve given some kind of mindwipe potion to Trixie and Spud.
Really, Randy already knew this was in his future when he was through being the Ninja; he didn’t want to get it prematurely. Again. Especially at the cost of his friendship with the others.
He kept talking, hoping something would get through to Andam, but if the councillor was moved by anything Randy said, he didn’t show it. His expression remained calm, composed, and closed. Randy had no idea what he was thinking. Which didn’t help matters.
His current rambling probably wasn’t helping matters, either, but he kept hoping he’d hit upon something.
Andam led him towards what might be some kind of training ground. Okay. Randy could deal with that. He’d brought his mask. He could show them that the Ninja wasn’t as incompetent as Jake’s stories might have painted him. He could show them that he had the right to defend Norrisville, that he’d been chosen as the Ninja for a reason, that they didn’t have any right to say he wasn’t fit to be the Ninja of Norrisville. He could prove himself and show off some bruce moves.
Probably.
Randy spotted Adrien, already masked as Chat Noir, but he couldn’t see Danny or Jake. To be fair, Randy wasn’t sure if he would see Jake. Their association with Jake must be why they were here, why this Dragon Council had used some teleportation magic Jake had never mentioned to bring them here, but these people trusted Jake, more or less. He was the American Dragon, and they hadn’t stripped him of that. And…and maybe they wouldn’t see Danny, either. Ghosts were technically magical creatures, and if Danny was half-ghost, he wasn’t any different from Jake, who was half-dragon.
But Randy was like Adrien: an ordinary kid who needed to use magic—someone else’s magic—to have any special powers.
Andam left him standing beside Adrien and moved to join the group of adults standing opposite them. It…it really felt like a trial, even if it wasn’t supposed to be. And of the people on the council….
Randy frowned and pointed at the sole woman. “What’s she doing here?”
“That’s Councillor Chang,” Adrien hissed.
“What the juice? Isn’t she the evil one?”
Adrien’s kick wasn’t very subtle, but Randy got the point: shut up. Making accusations wouldn’t help them, and if Chang was here, she must’ve been cleared of whatever charges had been against her.
Seriously, though. She was the evil one. Randy was not about to trust her. If he had known she’d be here, he’d have put on his mask so she couldn’t see his face. Which is probably what he should’ve done anyway, but it was Sunday, and he’d been in the middle of breakfast, and who would’ve thought opening the mail would require him to be masked? He was lucky he’d had it on him at all.
“Do you know if Danny’s coming or if it’s just us?” Randy asked, this time trying to keep his voice low.
“I think he’s here,” Adrien answered quietly. “You came with Councillor Andam, so Councillor Omina is supposed to be meeting him.”
Randy didn’t remember which one Omina was, but he hadn’t remembered which one Andam was, either. He only really remembered Chang, since Jake had gone into great detail about her so they all knew who to avoid in case she ever showed up on their turf.
Councillor Omina turned up about five minutes later—though it felt more like fifteen or twenty, Adrien didn’t look the least bit fidgety, so it couldn’t have been that long—from the direction of the beach, with Danny (as Phantom) trailing sourly behind her. He looked wet, which was weird, because he could just go intangible and dry off.
Randy wondered how much he was going to regret the Dragon Council knowing his real identity. Since magic had been involved in getting him here, they probably hadn’t needed to know who he was; the magic letter could have just been enchanted to find the Ninja. Sure, they still might not know his name, but now they knew his face, and—
“My apologies for the delay,” Omina said smoothly. “Phantom is stubborn.”
Danny wiped at the water dripping from his hair into his eyes. “Hey, I still came, so you can stop it with the water curse thing already.”
Omina just smiled. The other councillors nodded, and Randy didn’t see anything change, but all of a sudden Danny was dry, so Omina must have stopped whatever she’d been doing.
Danny was still scowling when he flew over to hover by Randy and Adrien, though. Randy knew he didn’t like remaining intangible for long periods of time—he claimed it was too tiring—and Randy could only guess that whatever magic Omina had done counted on that. That wasn’t entirely comforting. He’d thought, from the letter, that the Dragon Council didn’t know much about them, but….
“Thank you for joining us today,” said Andam. He introduced the councillors again and basically repeated what the letter had said about why they were here. As far as Randy could tell, Jake hadn’t told them much, if anything, and they wanted to know more.
Randy itched to sit down, but Adrien hadn’t moved, and Danny was cheating by floating cross-legged in the air.
No one offered them chairs, but Chang brought forward a selection of food and beverages from a table Randy hadn’t noticed earlier. (He wasn’t sure if it had actually been there earlier or if he just hadn’t noticed it. Hard to tell when magic was involved.) None of them took anything, and judging by Danny’s glare, he didn’t need Adrien’s confirmation that Chang was the evil councillor. She’d probably poison them as soon as drug them with something, just to distract Jake long enough for her to get whatever she wanted for whatever she was trying to do now.
Randy didn’t realize how much he’d zoned out the entire discussion until Danny burst out, “This is so stupid! You can’t keep us here. You had no right to bring us here. Chat Noir and the Ninja were entrusted with the secrets that allow them to be Chat Noir and the Ninja. They can keep a secret. They already are keeping secrets, theirs and yours. And I’m a ghost. Doesn’t that mean you’re supposed to protect me, too? Not interrogate me?”
Councillor Kukulkhan stepped forward. “The Panther once protected my people. My ancestors worked with him. Honoured him. And then he vanished, and the old ways faltered, and the Central American Dragons of the time were not enough to save them. The magical society was decimated, the common populace little better. How can I be sure that the same pattern will not be repeated here?”
Adrien swallowed. “You wish to hold me responsible for crimes committed generations past, ones of which I have little to no knowledge?”
“The fault is your own,” Councillor Omina retorted. “You cannot stand here and claim to uphold a legacy when you do not understand it or know its histories. My people were also visited by the Black Cat, and my land was lost to the waters because of it.”
Adrien winced, and Randy guessed he’d heard that story.
“The Norisu Nine are also not without fault,” Chang put in. “Were they competent, there would be no need for the Norrisville Ninja today.”
“Hey! The Sorcerer is one shnasty piece of work. And if you guys are so great, why didn’t you help them defeat the Sorcerer in the first place?”
Chang’s lip curled. “You would know that answer if you knew any of the history of the land in which you live.”
“We don’t intend to bring harm to the magical community any more than we do to the people we protect every day,” Adrien said. “The Ninja will protect Norrisville as long as is necessary. I will do the same in Paris, and Phantom in Amity Park. When needed, we will work together with the American Dragon, regardless of where that fight takes us. Because of what we do, you and the other dragons are free to deal with larger issues affecting the magical community. Is that not true?”
Chang smiled. “Then surely you will not protest proving your worth, as the American Dragon has?”
“Proving our worth how?” Danny asked suspiciously. “You know about us. You already know what we can do.”
“A more formal evaluation would not be amiss,” Kulde said quietly. “I would test your judgement in fire.”
“And I your wisdom in battle,” said Andam.
“And I your courage in flight,” added Chang.
“He’s the only one who can fly!” Randy protested, pointing at Danny.
Chang shrugged. “Your courage in fight, then.”
Danny crossed his arms. “Fine. When do we start?”
The dragons transformed. “Now,” cackled Chang, sending a wave of fire at them.
XXXXX
Danny bit back a curse and flew at Randy and Adrien, turning them all intangible before the flames hit. He hadn’t fought enough practice battles with Dora to be wholly comfortable with something like this, but he probably had more experience fighting dragons than the other two.
“We need a plan,” Adrien said.
“Don’t have time for plans!” Randy was digging through his pockets, trying to find his mask. “We need to move!”
Adrien grimaced. “Stay with Randy till he’s transformed. I’ll distract them.”
Danny didn’t argue. As the flames died down, Adrien rolled away from them and pulled out his staff, vaulting over the dragons and then spinning it to deflect further flames and— That was ice. Kulde could breathe ice.
Danny could handle ice.
“What do you think?” Randy asked once he was suited up. “Ninja Tengu Fireball or Ninja Hydro Hand or Ninja Air Fist or Ninja Earth Attack?”
“I think your all attacks have long names,” Danny retorted. “But if you go with your water fist, don’t waste your time around Omina.”
Randy groaned. “Fine. I’ll see how she likes a Ninja Electro-Ball and then fight fire with fire.” He broke off, taking the right flank since Adrien was coming more from the left.
Danny turned invisible and shot forward, shooting ghost rays or ice blasts in turn to buy his friends the time they needed. He didn’t think he’d win a battle of wills against any of the dragons if he tried to overshadow them, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t willing to use every other trick he had.
Including, if it came to it, his ghostly wail.
The island was uninhabited but for them, anyway.
And Adrien would use his Cataclysm if he needed to.
The dragons all had different fighting styles, none of which resembled Jake’s, which made predicting their moves difficult. But Adrien’s agility meant he wasn’t an easy target, and Randy called up an army of Sandjas to help them fight on the ground while tossing everything he had at the dragons. Danny stuck with protecting them from the air—and distracting the dragons from there, especially when he saw Adrien vault over to talk to Randy.
Those two began coordinating their attacks, trying to divide and conquer, and Danny helped out however he could.
By the time Andam called for the battle to halt, Danny was exhausted and headed immediately for the ground. Randy gave up and just lay down after pulling off his mask, and Adrien was hunched over, his hands on his knees as he took huge gulps of air. Danny had no idea how Adrien had gotten through the fight without using Cataclysm—he hadn’t been able to watch that closely—but he knew it wouldn’t have been easy.
The dragons themselves, back in human form, showed the occasional battle scar—a cut on the cheek, a favoured wrist, that sort of thing—and though they stood as straight as before, their fatigue was easier to see.
“Well fought,” said Andam. The admiration was clear in his voice. “You showed much wisdom in battle.”
“And excellent judgement in fire,” said Kulde.
Chang sniffed. “Your courage was adequate, I suppose.”
Danny raised an eyebrow, but at a warning look from Adrien, he didn’t open his mouth.
“We have proven our worth, as you requested,” Adrien said. “Now let us return home and—”
“Not so fast.” Chang raised a finger. “I said your courage was adequate, but that is not enough.”
“Councillor,” warned Andam.
“I agree with Councillor Chang,” Omina said, earning surprised looks from everyone, including Chang herself. “I believe that if you are to be protectors of the magical world, as you are by the very virtue of who you are—the Ninja, the Phantom, the Black Cat—you should understand what it is you are protecting.”
Randy sat up. “You want us to come here for history class?”
“Additional training also would not be amiss,” Kukulkhan pointed out, “particularly if you intend to work regularly with the American Dragon.”
“None of us have time for additional classes,” Danny said flatly. “History, training, whatever. We’re not coming here once a week or anything like that. We fight well as a team already.” He glanced at Adrien and then risked adding, “Besides, we’re not intending to tell you any more about our secrets, so don’t think you can bring us here on some excuse just to study us.”
He thought Adrien would rebuke him for that—silently, given that they were trying to make the point that they were a good team already—but instead, Adrien smiled. “Dragons,” he said, quite clearly, “do not have authority over the entire magical world. If our areas truly endangered yours, you would have sought us out long before we began working with the American Dragon.”
Danny shared a surprised look with Randy, but none of the dragons corrected Adrien, so he must have been right.
“If you wish to speak with us again,” added Adrien, “please inform the American Dragon. He will hereby act as our contact with the Dragon Council, and he will arrange any subsequent meetings in accordance to our schedules. We will not decline a meeting without good reason, so a summons like we all received today will be unnecessary. Is that clear?”
Kulde smiled. “Crystal,” he agreed. “Your demands are quite reasonable, Chat Noir, as are your concerns. Allow me to extend my apologies on behalf of the Dragon Council for your seemingly abrupt meeting with us all today. I can assure you we did not mean to cause alarm.”
Randy groaned. “Can we please just go home now? I really want to finish breakfast.”
Andam laughed, and the tension amongst the council members drained away. Well, except for Chang. She still looked more than unhappy, but she didn’t protest when Andam invited them to stay for lunch. Danny, Randy, and Adrien found themselves served from the same plates of food as the dragons themselves—which was just as well, since none of them trusted Chang as far as they could throw her, meaning they didn’t take anything until they saw the dragons partake freely. (If Chang was going to pull something, it wouldn’t be in front of the entire council, not after they’d agreed to play nice.) The food was good, some of the best Danny had ever had, though after growing up in a household with regularly contaminated food, his standards weren’t terribly high.
“Good job getting us through that,” Danny murmured to Adrien when he had the chance.
“Thank Plagg later,” Adrien whispered back, “though I wouldn’t have been able to do it if we hadn’t held up as well as we did in the fight. They wouldn’t have believed anything I said if we couldn’t back it up.”
Danny grinned and raised his glass. “To teamwork.”
Adrien smiled, raising his, and Randy hastily swallowed and clinked their glasses. “To teamwork,” they echoed.
