i somehow missed to share this or even react to it and i thought about making gif sets — but the video is so much better. gifs cannot do it justice. this is shared by rufeng ( 如枫飞舞 ) to commemorate 729. i’m pretty sure i probably saw a cut of a bit of this at a different angle, seeing it again is making me feel things for some reason. aside from me missing those days where they can promote a show together, which i’m sure they miss too— spending that time with each other and working with someone you adore.
they are in their own little world again. which is not new. from cql shoots, television show recording, interviews and even freakin concerts! lol. but something about this is just special. how xz leans in and wyb listens and reacts. how xz probably noticed something and just had to share it to yibo immediately. the eyebrow raise and shaking his head plus a smile — xiao zhan. you. stop it. then they both walk off, wyb was behind but xz had to gesture for him to come on. which is what he does frequently when they attended events together, always asking where yibo is, wanting them to be side by side. some are saying he looks jealous but i’m not gonna go there. he just needs his bobo beside him okay?
they are so perfect. look at them and their interactions. it’s plain to see. everything else is just noise. 🫶🏼
i didnt say it properly before but god you dont know how happy i am that [synth shenanigans] made a return like dude i put that as my name for a reason like DUDE it came BACK after so fuckin LONG MAN
On a Genshin Poll from a while ago, you said that you could talk about Xinyan way more and it would be nice hear those thoughts! Xinyan is one of favorite Genshin characters (her design is so cool) so if you don't mind talking about her more, I'd love to hear it!
oh i didnt mean xinyan specifically in general i like talking about design (critiquing.nitpicking.praising.etc) so it really extends to most any of the characters. but you asked about xinyan so ill talk about xinyan. design wise shes very nice to look at for. her colors are all so warm with one of my favorite palettes (black/red/white). shes on the simple side compared to alot of other characters and i think its nice makes her alot easier to draw. pretty easy design to remember. for me anyway (big sleeves/braids.big collar. big hair.spikes) i dont really need to give specific reasons tbh her design is just really good. one of the pyro characters ever
Who was your favourite mario character as a kid, and who is it now?
honestly? that's a pretty tough question for me to answer, because i played a lot of mario games growing up, and i don't know if younger me would've been able to choose a favourite. in terms of established characters, i think a safe option would likely be bowser; he was always my pick in Mario Kart 64, Melee, and Brawl. though in terms of the entire series as a whole, i liked the luigis mansion ghost designs a lot.
a favourite nowadays? i'm not quite sure. if i had to pick an established character, it'd probably be wario or waluigi. in terms of the entire series, i like the Mario Sunshine boos design a lot... but that's narrowing it down too small because i like a whole lot of designs from the franchise, so it's really hard to pinpoint.
sucks i cant look up starfield on any social without seeing a million posts about how bad it is and how its flop is affecting the industry. like i understand the gripes and the game def isnt the huge success bethany thought it would be but god is it a crime to want to see ANY content from actual fans
Thinking once more of the family playing minecraft together upon lars request
Just because they don't live together doesn't mean they can't spend time together :)
Maya joins Ray and lar, and over at the monastery, kai and nya drag wu into the living room and teach him how to play (jay is not allowed in the room because he probably gets mad at wus. Uh. Skill. (Or lack, thereof))
i ordered 2 books for a church research project on Black saints in the early Church and also in the Reorganization, on which the one book had a small section us and all had info from the our shared early church history, and it was an ebook too!
and i get physical mail from them once a month. i have no idea how to cancel.
herald house, the community of christ publishing house, contacts me much less, and i buy books from them all the time.
and oh their church book app reminds me to read my scriptures and the words of their prophets regularly if it's not in sleep mode.
it's been several weeks since i watched fh sophomore year and 'it's gorgug keep going' still makes me emotional. fucking zac oyama (derogatory) (affectionate)
Thinking about death and inevitably and no inherent meaningfulness in anything and the things I want that I'll never have and spirituality (and lack thereof) and unavoidable suffering and avoidable suffering that no one will stop again
But also thinking about beauty and creation and art and indignance and pain as something that isn't bad but just is and sleeping on a bed with clean, warm sheets and people that matter to me and the things I love and the strength to cry and the power I have because of all of those things
Got any opinions on the enemy designs in Eldin Ring and/or soulsborn games in general?
I like the designs but I haven’t played any of the games yet, but I probably will eventually.
Don't worry, you're not alone, Elden Ring is my first soulsborne game too lol
Generally speaking, my thoughts on the enemy design ranges from "oh wow thats cool!" to *chuckles nervously* to "THANKS! I HATE IT!"
Like, for example, you have the dragons! they have the common flaw of the wing membranes being poorly attached to the body, but otherwise they're very cool! they've got some very detailed feathers, and there are several different variants that have different models and spit different elements- and apparently there are some very cool boss dragons later that I haven't even gotten close to!
Or Starscourge Radahn, an absolute beast of a man who towers over you! he was a general and a demigod who fought the plague spread by his sister to a standstill- at least until said plague rotted out his mind to the point that he went mad to the point of cannibalizing both the enemy troops and his own men. His has actually been one of my favorite boss fights so far.
then there are some of the more uncomfortable enemies. Like your classic disembodied hand, except the hand's smallest finger is longer than you are tall, and also there are twelve fingers instead of five.
And Godrick the Grafted, guy with a bunch of extra limbs, not the worst thing I've seen, not even when he lops off his own arm mid-fight, rips the head off a dragon corpse, and slaps it on his chopped-arm to give himself a dragon head for a hand.
Or the. uh. erdtree burial watchdogs. They're, uhh. they're not great but they're like,, carved out of stone, statue constructs, so like, creepy gargoyle, not a huge fan but hey it makes sense.
then we have the Kindred of Rot and hey. hey buddy? like, is it not enough that you're already a giant hell shrimp?? do you really need the uh. the tiny human hands on the end of every one of those limbs? is that really necessary?
Or this one's called the abductor virgin?? and it hecking. the skirt opens and arms made of snakes come out to drag you into the skirt and trap you iron maiden style and deal a ton of damage to you and there's nothing you can do about it??
