Something I think is underrated about Final Fantasy 14 is that every class you can pick up is linked to a different culture. Dragoons from Ishgard, Dancers from Thavnair, Reapers from Garlemald, Monks and Red Mages from Ala Mhigo, Samurai from Hingashi, Ninja from Doma, Gunbreakers from Bozja, Sages from Sharlayan, and now Vipers from Tural. Everywhere you go, you meet teachers from different lands, learn their ways, enrich yourself with knowledge of the world. The Warrior of Light just loves immersing themselves in new fighting styles from new cultures. You get the sense that more than anything, to the Warrior of Light, it's all about self-improvement.

And then Sumire would be a fantastic Red Mage, of course! Akechi and Viper works pretty well! Alternatively-- Reaper would also work! Glowing red eyes and tattered cloaks! Good for him either way, he gets to go wild!

Ann-- Oh crap, I actually forgot about Beastmaster! When are we supposed to be getting that again? I want to try it out! Anyway.... Well, the whip certainly works, but not so sure about everything else... In terms of style... I guess Dancer?? I can see her working with chakrams! Oh but I suppose Sophia would want that... HMMM... And I was thinking the same thing with Futaba and Sage hehe! It does indeed have her vibes, provides support, and she'd have a blast with it! Ryuji's a tricky one! Paladin certainly works for the reasons you described, but Morgana would totally want it! I mean, look at Zorro. ;P He wants to be a gallant little lad SO BAD... So I guess if he calls dibs on that, Ryuji can have... Gunbreaker?! In terms of both weapon and gameplay styles, Zenkichi is an excellent Dark Knight already haha!

The Just Dancers smash ultimate deluxe some move-set ideas

People didn’t like this idea but I really wanted all five of the Just Dancers from Just Dance in Smash Bros Ultimate Deluxe. they all appeared 13 years after the 1st Just Dance game, they represent the lore.

I thought of a unique gimmick in which they are completely separate fighters, and you can chose which one you want to fight solo, but if you play one, you get the other four. As I imagine there will be this unique Gimmick that you can swap out your characters tag team style, if you want to switch out for fighter, you can and a portal will open and they characters will take turns. But I don’t know about that

All five attack with dance moves that they dance to in the games, and some of them are also their taunts, I’ll tell you ideas for their moveset separately (these are not my ideas, but all came from Reddit)

Sara (and Disco Ball)

this idea was by Front-Peanut8057. A Rosalina and Luma type fighter. Sara and the disco ball create attacks together with Sara tossing and twirling the disco ball around, her neutral special also does this.

Wanderlust

He is a more agile character, similar to Falco, his neutral special is a gold move inspired attack. And wears the outfit from his Legendary avatar as his final smash (the avatar is Wanderlust - Chosen one)

Brezziana

The one I have ideas for the least, but a psychical brawler would be perfect. I know that she would take her jacket off during her final smash (based on the avatar Brezziana - Ultimate)

Mihaly

They are a ninja type character, and the teal crystals from their song Rather Be will be their neutral special, and their Final Smash would be based on their panda form (idea by Sowhatayty79)

Jack Rose

This is solely my idea.

I do imagine his entrance would he transforming into a human from his swan form, based on the story of swan lake. His neutral special would be him singing with his microphone. And his final smash would be that stampede/army of replicas from the Treasure song. And that one of the alt costumes would be with his unreleased Lose Yourself, and a costume what would have been if his mom corrupted him in Swan Lake along with his friends.

So, I think that the ninja each try the others hobbies to relax when they have time. I also think that Cole tried to teach them how to dance, and very quickly realized they each do beat in certain styles. (Please note: This doesn't correspond to their music tastes. That's completely seperate)

Kai- I think that this man would love hip hop dances the best, and would do well in them. I can't fully explain it, but I feel like he would really like the quick movements and the way that they usually involve almost every muscle group

Cole- I feel like Cole would probably like swing dance, and specifically doing it with alternating partners. He'd probably mostly be attracted to the way him and his partner could share the spotlight, or have it focused on just one of them, all in the same routine

Jay- I can't explain why, but I think that Jay would like tap dancing the best. He'd enjoy the way that the movements are really fast, so he has to concentrate, but at the same time kept mostly to his legs/feet so he doesn't get overwhelmed

Zane- I think that Zane would like ballet. He'd appreciate the way that it looks so graceful that people forget a lot of the time how hard it is. Also falls into the stereotype thing. He hates the stereotypes that are bound to come with being a nindroid, and the way he isn't seen as human, just like how (for some reason) people don't see ballet dancers as strong.

Lloyd- Hear me out: Lloyd liking line dance because it's one that involves groups all working together and usually means that one singular person isn't the focus, since he gets tired of the green ninja attention

Nya- I can't explain why, but Nya strikes me as someone that would enjoy salsa dancing best. I feel like she'd enjoy the way that you have to trust a partner and be okay with being close to them, and she'd enjoy the way that the traditional roles can be followed or switched easily.

Karlach is a Gunbreaker. The style, the gunblade, how the class is 3 dps in a trenchcoat. This is the pick I'm absolutely certain of and will take no counterarguments on, I know in my heart I'm right

Wyll looks initially like he'd be a red mage main, but actually red mage is his alt. Hes a dancer main

Gale is a black mage, this is the second most obvious choice behind Karlach. If he could summon voidsent in BG3 he'd already be on it

Lae'zel mains Dragoon and Samurai and freely swaps between them as she feels necessary

Astarions obvious pick is Ninja because knives but I don't actually think the naruto jutsu suits him. I WOULD say Viper but I haven't actually PLAYED viper? I've had them in dungeon parties tho and just seeing them shred bosses feels very Astarion

Shadowheart is the odd one here cuz I don't think she'd actually BE a white mage, scholar, or a sage. MAYBE Astrologian, and also maybe Dragoon? I'm not super confident in my picks here and it's in part cuz not a lot of the jobs make an easy match for Shadowheart's personality. I can see Dark Knight for DJ Shart

Minthara is a Dark Knight main that alternates to Paladin. If I could mod the dark knight armor into BG3 I would and I'd flood the tag with screenshots

Durges and Tavs can vary ofc, but MY Durge in particular is a white mage the way Edda is a white mage. If you can't get rezzed then hes summoning Voidsent into your corpse to keep you around so uh. Don't floor tank.

This is probably more a production question than anything, but I've noticed that Doctor Linksano's gotten quite a bit of screentime lately compared to characters like Harvey and the Ninja Style Dancer. Storyline-wise, this is probably because he fit those situations, but review-wise, does he just work better for more gags compared to those two and even 90s Kid? Nothing against Linksano, just curious about the writing process ;).

Pretty much. 90s Dude pretty much is there strictly for gags speaking positively of 90s concepts, Harvey rarely appeared during the actual reviews, and Linksano will appear more often in reviews mostly because of bad science, which makes him fit into a lot more situations than others. I have noticed I use him more in storyline stuff, which I think is just for both humor and versatility - perspective that's better able to match Linkara in scenes.

-Blake thrifts heavy, that man dresses to impress and would even go to lengths of joining online auctions.

-Tori has the strongest elemental output out of the team, while they are all strong her control over water is terrifying to the point of any deep feelings and willpower rooted together allow for her to make tsunamis or even a hurricane if she sees fit.

-Dustin might be a bit air headed but he’s really good and retaining information. Reading books can be exhausting but with his love for comics he’s gotten a very visual mindset and pretty much maps out every scene he reads, helps with studying a lot.

-Marah and Kapri are twins with Kapri being the older one.

-Hunter too likes to dress up a bit but the real reason why he never really showed off like Blake was cause most of his money was either spent on biking tools or saved up. He really prefers shoes and baggy clothing, also one of those people who actually uses a stylish watch when wearing it outside.

-Cam is loaded with money due to his dad, the Watanabe’s have investments all around the place through generational business and with Kanoi’s influence they’ve accumulated a lot of wealth. They live in a huge estate hidden away somewhat like the ninja schools, the team sometimes sneaks in due to the fact that there a bunch of rooms making it seem like a castle.

-Shane has a tendency of helping people but sometimes it tends to get him into trouble, years ago when he was around eight years old he stole medicine to help out a kid who had a sick mom and it got him in juvenile detention. Didn’t matter cause he was happy he could help, that kid was Cam(rip Miko).

-The team has a good taste in music, Blake enjoying a lot of R&B and Soul music, Hunter enjoying hip hop and rock, Dustin has a taste for a lot of upbeat music and Japanese city pop, Cam secretly likes pop, Tori has a mix of a lot of taste and Shane enjoys Lo-fi beats with high tempos. Their favorite artists is Nujabes.

-Shane tends to add style to his fighting by adding in chants or specific words with technique, he seems to find it bringing energy and more power into his element. He’s got a cool way of thinking within the world and the team started to pick up a few of these tendencies…they can’t make fun of him considering Hunter names some of this own techniques after specific gods of thunder.

-Best dancers on the team are Dustin and Hunter but everyone else has a really good rep as well…Hunter was taken aback when they went to a nightclub and Dustin got all close and personal when they started playing a bunch of huge beats.

-Cam broke the stock market and might’ve been responsible for the 2008 crash…

-Meeting up with other rangers is always pleasant, the yellow rangers before Dustin absolutely love him, Tori is surprised to have been the first female blue ranger in ages, Shane isn’t allowed to bring Hunter anymore due to him roasting and hating a lot of the old reds but he finds a way to sneak in. Blake pretty much judges some of the clothing of the other blues and Cam refuses to meet any green rangers but he will be down to hang out with RJ.

-They will jump the shit out of anyone who’s an asshole, anyone who’s homophobic, anyone who picks on Dustin and Cam, anyone who who’s basically causing some trouble. Like you don’t wanna catch any of their smoke🔥

-As teachers they made it mandatory for the students to watch ATLA, both cause the show is good but also the examples for lessons are top notch. It’s also how they found out that fire was an element some students could use.

-Dustin has a crush on Cole the Wild Force Red Ranger…Hunter is jealous.

-although ninja steel is another team that they somewhat acknowledge it anyone compares them to that team or tries to do a versus situation they will get very offended. In another universe where Ninja Steel was a good season they are a part of the Wave Academy and the Ninja Storm rangers love their company. Cam actually raised Levi.

Welcome to Moxie's Big Final Fantasy XIV Ninja Headcanon/Personal Lore/Observation Dump! ... or whatever I end up calling it.

Preface, I've been doing a lot of roleplay on my Keeper miqo'te, Rina, a lot as of late, and I play her as a Keeper-ass Keeper from the Black Shroud that's found her way to Hingashi and settled in with a ninja-clan. So, naturally, I'm going to scour a whole bunch of lore-junk and extrapolate from in-game resources to figure out flavor. Plus, ninja-stuff in XIV is Nonstandard Magic to an extent, and that's fun to play with.

Don't take this stuff as hard Facts or anything, or feel like if you've got a different interpretation of this stuff that it's Wrong. I like to have fun with this sort of thing, and these thoughts have been rattling around in my brain for long enough. They need to get out.

This is essentially going to be a big list of observations and shit, so I'm tossing it below a break for everyone's convenience.

Yeah? Yeah. Let's dig in.

Ninja hand-signs (Mudra) operate on the same logic as Dancer dances. What I mean by this is: Dancers have been established already that by moving their bodies in specific ways, they can manipulate aether in and through themselves and others around them. The body is a natural conduit for aether, and by moving it in specific ways, a specific outcome can be achieved. Ninjas do the exact same thing with their hand-signs, but just on a personal level. It's an outright game mechanic for them, too, instead of it being something that just happens with every action they get. I know that this is more of an observation than some hidden thing, but I still think pointing this out to characters during roleplay is a fun a-ha moment.

Ninjas have access to all six prongs on the established Elemental Wheel. Again, more of an observation than something wild and hidden, but it wasn't until I looked at the different Ninjutsu that it clicked. Katon = Fire. Raiton = Thunder. Hyoton = Ice. Huton = Wind. Doton = Earth. Suiton = Water. Of course, we don't see much in terms of flexibility in terms of utility or manipulating these elements into anything but attacks, so I wouldn't straight-up call ninjas Masters of Elements. It's a fun thing to notice, though, where most other jobs are restricted to three (maybe four) elements at most.

(Mild Shadowbringers world-building spoilers in this next one, just a heads-up.)

Umbral-aligned aether is really important to utilizing ninjutsu. So, this one comes from the in-game text on Doton calling the technique "a patch of corrupted earth". Plus, it just makes sense thematically: ninjas use darkness-aligned techniques. We're starting to get into Moxie Headcanon with this stuff. First off, umbral-aligned aether is inherently unstable because it's the alignment of movement and chaos. This is great for people that practice a fighting-style where leaving very little trace, even aetherically, is a benefit. You don't want someone tracing your operative back to their hideout, after all. Second, this probably explains how a ninja can hide themselves in plain sight. It's not quite "melding into the shadows" that people from the Source interpret it, as it is "destabilizing the aether around the body that visual light seems to pass right through". Something like that.

Ninjas can just use space-compression, huh? (Note: this one is just kinda funny to me because I personally consider in-game actions you get before level 50 with ARR/HW-introduced jobs to be stuff most people can do if they train.) This one just comes from reading the quest-text for when you get Shukuchi, and it kinda blew my mind. Just... straight-up calls the technique compressing space to teleport. Guess that makes sense how ninjas can carry so much bullshit on them, they just compress the aether until they need to use said item. Still, it's crazy to me that this comes even before learning the final mudra.

Speaking of mudra, my Keeper girl has turned them into prayers to Menphina. This one is all Rina lore. It works surprisingly well if you kinda squint and have a certain interpretation of what little Keeper culture we've been able to observe. The first mudra, Ten, is literally pulling aether from the heavens, which can easily be interpreted by a devout moonkitty to mean it's pulling aether from the moon and its goddess. Chi, earth, is where Dalamud landed and exploded the world with a ton of aether (Yes, this means that Rina, in another life, could have easily been part of the Keeper sects that were happy to see Dalamud crash). Jin, man, is pulling aether from the people Menphina watches over from above. Does this mean that when Rina performs ninjutsu that she's effectively praying? Yes, absolutely!

Ninjas might be able to tap into the Aetherial Sea? This one is Pure Speculation, I'll admit. But, with being able to summon the Hellfrog and other auspice-adjacent creatures and Bhavacakra translating literally to "Life and Death", it makes me think that ninjas have the capacity to tap into the spirit-realm. At the very least, making a pact with an auspice/yokai/voidsent-in-disguise for borrowed power seems very fitting and thematic.

I'm just gonna talk about miscellaneous ninja-tools for a moment. Because I think they're neat. I like that Death Blossom combos into Hakke Mujinsatsu, where the lines being drawn are clearly supposed to be connecting lines between the kunai embedded into the ground. I think that with being able to spatially condense shuriken using Shukuchi, doing the opposite through Ninjutsu to embiggen and empower Fuma Shuriken is fun. I'm a big wrestling mark, and with Dokumori being included so Rina can perform a Green Purple Mist on someone in a fight utterly tickles me. It makes me want to think of more fun tools to give Rina. Stuff like flash-cotton/flash-paper, smoke bombs, actual bombs, and other fun things she can just yeet at others in the middle of a fight.

Ninja-scrolls are effectively Arcanist books. We all know the the fun trope of "this scroll contains a powerful ninjutsu, and must be protected at all costs". Hell, we got it in the Ninja job questline. It got me to realizing that they would function in almost the exact same manner as Arcanists' books. Specific symbols drawn using aetherically-charged ink producing a specific outcome? That's Limsa Lominsa bean-counter magic, baby.

Hoo boy. I think I've gotten most of my thoughts out of me at this point. Thank you for sticking around and reading this big ramble of words! Rating All Radiant's Gear By How Cute The Little Dragons Are:

Paladin: 9/10 The sword little guy is one of the stylised dragons who has been squished flat, and drags down the set for being a lil boring in execution, but the shield is ADORABLE, look at that baby all curled around it!! The pose, the style, the ELEGANCE. One of the largest dragons of the whole set.

Warrior: 10/10 FOUR dragons, all with a cool pose, in one weapon? Lookit them! They're little spiky babies judging you from their perch and I love them.

Dark Knight: 8/10 Cool pose but their faces are sort of weird. The babies have 2 eyes on each side I think? But the face doesn't have enough definition to make them look like faces, and then you could mistake the 2 eyes for being front-facing and then they're goofy. More effort put into being edgy than maximising Dragon Cuteness, but they are still pretty neat, so I can't be that mean to them.

Gunbreaker: 0/10 NO DRAGONS??? Just the aesthetic? What are we DOING here? I think this secretly says something about the state of the trade deal between the Bozjans and Rats-at-Hand so I volunteer as a diplomat to improve things so they honour the traditional Gunblade with a more befitting dragon next time. I will rebuild Bozja myself brick by brick if I have to get trade flowing.

Dragoon: 11/10 The little guys from the axe are back and they have a EXTRA WINGS to make the spear more aerodynamic, which is very important for aerial combat. Bonus points for making a leetle heart :)

Reaper: 100/10 this is just Vrtra. Look at that snoot. Someone had SEEN him when they made this. Is this a post-EW design that their craftsmen added to the range after seeing that the Warrior of Light was a reaper and wanted to sell them specifically the perfect weapon? Or is this a secret design a past satrap had sketched and had made to secretly carry Vrtra with them which ended up in the stable of weapon types the Radiant Host use, in which case I want to know everything about the Reaper Satrap.

Monk: 9/10 Look at this guy... Another goofy face, but a great pose. Deducting points more because you don't punch someone directly with a dragon and instead they're hiding behind the blades looking cute. I want to punch someone with a dragon.

Samurai: 12/10 Two extra points for the weird dragon face with six eyes on the blade itself. I don't think the person designing most of these had ever seen a dragon but I love the imagination going into it. The lil guy on the sheath is fucking majestic. Flying at your side and adorable to boot.

Ninja: 0/10 again... Yeah yeah dragons have scales and claws. Disappointing.

Bard: 7/10 disappointingly flat little guy. Considering how MANY bows there are shaped like creechurs, the fact that this isn't another Vrtra-shaped full-body monstrosity of a thing is especially painful. Definitely an old staple of their armoury from times long ago when they weren't even sure the great dragon was real. Scraped a point for the arrow fletching being little wings.

Machinist: 8/10 another lil guy with a funny face. Loses their body definition to wrap around the butt of the gun, and playing a protective role over your hands once again like with Monk, rather than getting out there and doing the shooting, which would have been funny, but perhaps crass for a beloved protector.

Dancer: 9/10 SO LONG. Just curled up and having a good time vibing. Sadly hard to see unless it's being actively thrown at someone, since that distortion in its length is so you can hold it there. Deducting a point just because the art of combat dancing does come from Thavnair so they COULD have gone a bit more all out on this particular weapon.

Black Mage: 7/10 ARE YOU OKAY THERE? The squished ones make me sad. Could have been much more 3D and leaping out at you. The wings are amazing though. The overall vibe looks more like one of those flying voidsent thingies with the big flappy wings (you know the ones) so it is suitable BLM wear but not overall the best dragon nor particularly cute or cuddly.

Summoner/Scholar (same dragons but one's lighter): 5/10 This is the same dragon as the Black Mage staff but even more compressed and the wings are tiny and weak. There could have been SO MUCH MORE dragon on these books. :(

Red Mage: 6/10 Great pose but the other wing designs are doing most of the heavy work to make it dragonny. I think it's sweet that it's snuggling down close to your hand but it's definitely a secret little dragon and not a flex that it's your new bestie in channelling terrifying amounts of mana. Bonus point for the slight bat-like aesthetic in its pose and the metal wings, and I always approve of when anything Red Mage also has vampiric hints in the aesthetic, and the lil baby dragon is playing along.

White Mage: 10/10 "Oh this one just has the wings?" WRONG LOOK AT THIS LITTLE WHITE MAGE BABY WHITE DRAGON SNOOZING IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR STAFF, AWAY FROM THE DYABLE SECTIONS. The white sheep of the family is here to help and they're doing so well. Deducted bonus points because its eyes don't glow, so you can't dye it blue and have a blue eyes white dragon :(

Astrologian: 8/10 Double dragon! I stared for so long trying to work out if the dongle on top is also a dragon face but I think it just glows. The dragons are pretty subtle here but I think it may be kinder than putting them on any part where they'd be rotated wildly because then they might get dizzy and we can't have that. Anyway the existing dragons are cute but also just far enough down that stylised line that they look really goofy again so I think I am once again appreciating them in a silly way not a "awww baby" way.

Sage: 1000/10 FUCKING BABY DRAGONS. FOUR OF THEM.

AND THEY FLY.

Start your own family, dye them bright pink as the colour of your new brood... You're one of Middy's kids now, you are totally legally allowed to do that by Dragon Rules, trust me.

Cole my favorite human ninja! Finally after fiddling around I decided on my design for Cole, and idk if it's just me but I loved his longer hair style so I'm keeping it! Also I think it'd be interesting if Cole straightened his hair when he was younger. I know someone with textured hair who did ballet/dance for a while and he was either told to keep his hair super short or straighten it and gel it down so I thought it'd be an interesting thing to throw in for younger Cole's design since he was a dancer for a while.

So I will never get over how I wish they explored his backstory more in the show honestly I wish they explored most of the ninjas back stories more cause them kids had some pretty fucked up childhoods even before they became ninja (except for Jay he seemed like he was doing okay (?) he didn't know he was adopted yet and Ed and Edna have only ever been shown as really sweet so). Like Nya and Kai grew up with no parental figures, Lloyd went to Darkly's and then wound up on the streets for a while, Zane watched his father die and then got memory wiped, and Cole's a whole other mess.

Like His mother died when he was what like 5/6 years old (the Ninjago timeline is nonexistent) his father neglected him after her death leaving him to take on all chores and tasks in the house and the only way his father would only pay attention was if he was doing dance. Then he failed a extremely complex dance move as a child and in the episode The Royal Blacksmiths it seems as if his father liked to remind him of this, in that episode Cole also says that he's not a good dancer but we know that he got into the Marty Oppenheimer School for Performing Arts.

Now being a performing arts school that we can assume is a boarding school since Cole's father seems unfazed that he's not coming home, it's probably a pretty nice school. Not to mention boarding schools are private, hard to get into and sometimes even by invite only, this means Cole likely had to at least be talented enough to get INTO the school. Judging from how Cole's father talks to him (and the other ninja during practice) in the episode Royal Blacksmiths it wouldn't be to surprising if Cole only THOUGHT he was bad, I mean he successfully does the triple tiger sashay by the end of the episode after seemingly being out of practice for years, so I don't think it would be to far fetched to say that he was actually pretty good at dance.

As another fun fact apparently Cole may have taught Lloyd a bit of dance for agility/flexibility training which I think is really fun (it's mentioned in a book idk if it's cannon but it's fun to imagine it is!). Also I love the Royal Blacksmiths episode as a queer person cause it's literally a stereotypical coming out episode but like as a ninja and it never fails to make me laugh.

I think Cole's relationship with his father is really interesting because we see him I'd say the least out of all the Ninjago parents, like seriously I'm pretty sure we see more of Maya who was assumed dead for 6 1/2 seasons (that's probably 17-18 years in cannon) than we see of Lou. Now I'm pretty sure a good chunk of people I've seen talk about him are pretty split on whether or not he's a good or bad parent/if him and Cole are on good terms, in my opinion I don't really think he's a very good parent, we know for a fact he was neglectful while also putting a lot of pressure on Cole when he did dance, as for anything else we're really only able to infer and idk I just feel like he's not that great of a parent.

Now this is more my opinion just based off what we see of him, I don't think Cole and his father are all that close since unlike other parents such as Ray, Maya, Ed, Enda and even Misako we rarely if ever see him in the background congratulating the Ninja after a battle or helping them after a loss, in fact he actually just straight up doesn't go to Nya’s eulogy (which is in line with his character since it's been said he's not good with dealing with grief but it's still pretty shitty to do) I don't think Cole hates him or anything but I don't think that they're close or talk all to much even without the whole merge situation. 

Anyways I've spent way to long rambling about this but yeah, again this is just my opinion! I love love love this Lego show and Cole is one of my favorite characters and I'm glad in DR he's getting more attention, in fact a lot of the ninja are (minus Jay) while also allowing the new elemental masters develop which is just so fun to watch!

A Kai Smith x Fire Dancer!Reader Requested by Anon!

It was late evening when the ninja's had all set up camp, Cole gathering the wood for the fire and kai lighting it. Sensei Wu had asked you and the ninja to head out on a mission, a stake out, and so far things were going well.

by going well, i mean things were calm, no movement, no news, nothing. So you were all setting up camp and waiting things out until there was something from the enemy.

While the others were working on a schedule of who'd take watch, who'd be checking the perimeter, and when they'd switch, Kai was tending to the fire, making sure it was well lit.

"man things are boring right now. not a single thing has happened since we got here, this is the lamest stakeout ever" kai grumbled to himself as he poked the fire with a stick before adding a log in the space he created.

"well, the point of a stakeout is kinda just to wait for something to happen. sitting around and doing next to nothing but watching is boring but expected." you shrugged, pointing out the obvious.

"well..yeah youre right..i just wish something would happen while we waited so this wouldnt be so boring, you know?" he huffed, sitting down near the fire and placing his chin on his hand as his elbow rested on his knee.

staring at the flames of the fire a bit, thinking with a short hum, you remembered an old sort of "hobby" you used to do and got an idea, looking back up at kai. "maybe i can do something, to make things a little less boring?" you offered a shy smile with the suggestion

"please, be my guest (name), anything besides waiting around" he sighed, gesturing for you to continue.

you stood up, grabbing a few sticks in each hand and briefly dipping each of their ends in the fire. you held them between your fingers with like thin small torches, raising them out away from you as you backed up away from the fire to give yourself some space.

Kai watched with a curious expression. "hey, be careful, i might make it look easy but fire isnt some fun thing to play around with, you might burn yourself." he warned, unsure what you were doing.

"no worries, i got this" you nodded, taking a breath before you went on with your idea and started waving the sticks about. you moved them with your arms as you went about, twirling and stepping lightly and making a little light show with the small makeshift torches in your hands.

the sticks burned a bit quicker than you were used to and you were careful not to move too quickly as to not put the flames out while you were dancing but eventually they did burn out and your little show had to end.

once you finished, your breath was a tad bit heavier as you looked back at kai for his reaction. he had a face of wonder and surprise as he stared back at you, mouth open just a bit. the only noise that came out of him at first was "whoa..."

"...(name) that was so cool! how did you-? what was-? THAT WAS AWESOME" he was quickly hushed from another ninja nearby for raising his voice.

smiling you sat back down, giving yourself a chance to catch your breath before explaining "thanks! that was a style of fire dancing. i used to do that a lot more before i met you guys, im surprised i still remember how to do it honestly. im glad you liked it."

"and here i thought i made fire look cool, you gotta teach me sometime (name)!" kai chuckled.

"maybe another time, you know, when we arent on a mission" you pointed out, giving a shy, soft and short-lived giggle in response.

"right. would you at least tell me more about it? i wanna hear everything" he asked, an enthusiastic smile on his face.

and with that, you spent the rest of the night before sleep explaining your hobby to him. you told him how you got into it, the different styles and more, and he loved all of it. no longer a boring stakeout.

Katsuki Bakugou certainly has the god complex for a Healer, and he's believable as a big numbers DPS, but given his penchant for taunting, instinctive battle strategizing, insistence on leading his party from out in front, propensity for taking hits for others, and physical advantage in wars of attrition, I declare Katsuki Bakugou is in fact a Tank main (who had an annoying Machinist phase on the side at some point because artillery explosions go brrrrrrrrrrr).

Aesthetically, we all know Katsuki's going for a male Au Ra Dark Knight or Reaper. Gunbreaker is a permissible alternative. It's hard to choose anything but Dark Knight for him given the Living Dead ability where dying literally makes him invulnerable. 😂 And he'd spend any duty bossing the healers around so they don't fuck with his skill set.

That said, given the breadth of his character development, it seems by the time he reaches his second year of high school Katsuki will dabble in Paladin and become a reliable carry and support.

Play style? Katsuki plays PvP guaranteed. And he races for worldwide first clear of newly released Ultimates. Whatever is the most competitive shit, Katsuki's doing it and kicking ass (unlike me, as I'm a filthy casual who doesn't really know what I'm talking about even by saying this much).

Katsuki eventually gets into Fisher after he discovers he's a masochist.

Any difficulties with magical/physical disciplines?

Inah is naturally gifted at magical arts and is very in-tune with nature due to her upbringing in South Shroud in a tribe of hunters, trappers, and botanists. She took to Conjuration quickly and fell in love with the art. Growing up, she also trained in archery as part of her adoptive tribe’s livelihood. As such, she is highly proficient with a bow. She went on to train with Jehantal in the way of becoming a bard. While preferring disciplines of magic, she made a promise to her adoptive mother to keep up her archery skills in order to always be able to protect herself.

Unfortunately, being small, somewhat weak, and relatively forgetful, she isn’t the strongest at melee combat, but it is something she hopes to one day train to become more proficient at.

How are they dealing with the most prominent of the above? How does it affect their in day-to-day life, if at all?

She finds gardening and botany to be calming and a good way to relieve stress. While having a good relationship with her adopted family, she struggles with being different in even some of her closest circles. She also has taken on a lit of responsibility as the Warrior of Light that she has yet to find a good way to cope with. Inah has always yearned for a fulfilling love, but her current relationship is complicated and sometimes leaves her confused, especially since her responsibilities and wanderlust are part of what complicates things.

In general, Inah swallows down a lot of her programs and struggles to process in a healthy way. Sometimes when she is alone, she curls up with a triple cream coffee and cries it out. She struggles to show true vulnerability to anyone, so if she does it is a sign of deep trust.

Inah did not attend a traditional school, growing up in a tribe of hunters far from a city center. Still, she did receive a basic education, learning to read and write at a young age. She loves to read, specifically on gardening, adventuring, and romance (being such a hopeless romantic). As a tween, she received training from the Conjurer's Guild to become a Conjurer and eventually a White Mage. Most of her education has come from mentors, reading, and from her time as an adventurer.

Always leaves a little bit of her drink and food left. She makes a mess whenever she eats sweet treats. Easily distracted. She also sings to herself a lot, but is actually shy about singing in front of others.

I was a overthinking again about how Cole’s cake obsession might be:

a) the result of being invited to fancy dance events with his dad but not being allowed to eat too much to maintain a healthy dancer’s physique and now that he’s free to eat what he wants he splurges whenever he can

b) the need to consume more food compared to the other ninja due to his strength based fighting style (like seriously the guy casually picks up cars he probably burns so many calories every time he fights compared with the others)

KH Characters with FF jobs

I'm mostly basing these from FF3, FF4, and FF14 jobs since those are the ones I know the best but I did research other games' jobs for some. This is mostly going off of characters' personality and fighting styles rather than weapons or stats.

Sora: Onion Knight Riku: Dark Knight/Paladin Kairi: White Mage

Sora could be any jack-of-all-trades job but I picked Onion Knight out of a FF3 bias and also he would look cute in that hat. Riku is basically Cecil Harvey from FF4 so he gets two jobs. Kairi being a princess of heart makes her a White Mage and what is her shotlock if not a flashier version of holy?

Roxas: Samurai Xion: Blue Mage Axel: Assassin

Roxas and Axel get their jobs from their lesser Nobodies, and Axel will stay as an Assassin until Square releases a game with "arsonist" as a job. His FF14 disciple of the hand job would be "ice cream maker." Xion's copy abilities make her an Blue Mage and I wish KH would take more advantage of that ability because then she'd be op.

Aqua: Dancer Terra: Knight Ventus: Red Mage

In an effort to not make Terra the same as Riku he gets to be a Knight but I could also see him as a Dark Knight or Warrior. Aqua's spellweaver ability is basically magic dancing so Dancer. I was struggling for Ven and ended up with Red Mage because 1) its my favorite and I'm not above being biased, 2) all Keyblade wielders could arguably be Red Mages because of the use of both white and black magic along with fighting with a sword, and 3) he also deserves a cool hat.

Vanitas: Ninja Naminé: Summoner Repliku: Dark Knight

Naminé technically never participates in combat but summoning other entities to fight for her is pretty much what she already does just without the memory manipulation. Repliku sacrifices originality for "well his weapon is called Soul Eater anyway". Vanitas was the hardest of these three because he's yet another possible Dark Knight. I gave him Ninja for his warp downslash ability. Alternatively, he could be a Black Mage and Ven a White Mage, but I wanted to go beyond making every darkness character a Black Mage or similar.

Ansem: Black Mage

My joke job for Ansem is the pugilist/monk because he's the only character to fight barehanded (not counting his KH1 final boss where he had a double-bladed version of Soul Eater). He could also arguably be a Summoner and call other Heartless to fight.

Most Organization members' jobs are just their lesser Nobody types, though for Demyx it would make more sense for him to be a Bard. (But that water does dance after all.) I chose Gunbreaker as an alt job for Xigbar because what's better than two guns? Two sword guns! (Imagine a KH4 bossfight with No Name formchanged as two gunblades.)

Lexaeus, Vexen, and Zexion are the only Org members who don't have lesser Nobodies so I chose them myself. Lexaeus is a Warrior (fights with a giant axe), Zexion an Illusionist (self-explanatory), and Vexen a Puppetmaster (replicas).

Let me know if you have other ideas for alternate jobs. Also I might do a part two with the KHUXDR characters is anyone is interested.

Name: Eloïse Eitzen

Backstory: 

Eloïse is a female proboscis monkey, a younger cousin of Klaus Kickenklober. She and Klaus have a precarious relationship, as he was constantly tattling on her when she was a child. She was born to strict, stuffy, overprotective upper class parents, and even though she is an adult now, they still treat her like a child. Outwardly, she looks innocent and sophisticated due to her upbringing, but she has a rebellious, wild streak to her. Her parents sent her to the best schools, and she is extremely intelligent and resourceful. 

Her parents are always trying to “civilize” her by enrolling her in what she thinks are boring activities, like waltz and classical piano. They have very particular ideas about how girl monkeys should behave. As irritated as she is by her parents’ actions and viewpoints, she loves them and doesn’t want to disappoint them. So she lives a secret life unknown to them. They think she’s taking a waltz class, but she’s actually in Tango; they think she’s tutoring children in French in the evenings, but she’s actually drag racing; they think she teaches Yoga, but she actually volunteers as a Parkour coach. 

At some point her parents caught on to this and basically forced her to enroll in one of Klaus Kickenklober’s classical dance classes. It was his class specifically because he could vouch for if she showed up or not. It was here that she met Arlen, the name I gave the baboon dancer from Sing 2:

She was bored in Klaus’ class and hated his teaching style, but she stayed because she had a crush on Arlen. She and Arlen are now dating. Arlen is kind and good-natured, but a little on the clueless side, and he often accidentally gives Eloïse’s ruses away to her parents.
