Been watching a bunch of Shoot from the Hip's plays a lot lately, and I forgot how many amazing quotes there are

Do any of Janae's students just wonder why an eight year old is teaching them? Like. None of them just go "our professor is what?" when they first hear about them?

Do some of them think that this is just one big prank held by the uni? Do they respect Janae as a teacher? Do they make fun of them? Are any of them just tired enough that they don't even question the fact that their prof. is 8? Probably!

Christmas Miracle - A SFTH Fic

Characters: Snowdrop, Santa, Mrs Claus, Johnny, Janae, Derek/Titch plus various cameos

Summary: When a Christmas letter from two young boys arrives out of season, Snowdrop, Santa and Mrs Claus do everything in their power to make their Christmas wish come true.

“Santa?” Snowdrop asks quietly, poking his head around the door of the study. When Santa looks up from the half-finished toy he is working on - a fuzzy, bright blue teddy bear – Snowdrop offers him an apologetic smile and holds up the letter in his hand. “Sorry for disturbing you but I think you should see this.”

ok but what if Johnny became withdrawn and overly emotional and struggled with understanding and trusting people but Janae became hyper-aware of his surroundings and peoples feelings and poured all his time into learning seismology as a distraction from their parents neglect and forcing them to play football-

like let’s say those qualities were always there but their parents just made it stronger-

i love when sibling characters are fucked up from the same event but in opposite ways

Y'know if you stop and think about it, a lot of sfth's improvised plays are dark as hell. Like:

A kid was sent to prison and was blamed for burning down half of Somerset even though the fire wasn't his fault and he was just tired of being bullied.

A psychopathic 8-year-old boy murdered his mum and set fire to a zoo, probably killing many people and animals.

A mother tried to protect her son from his father after he killed his best friend, only to be hated by said son and ended up being captured by the one who she once loved.

An innocent woman was burned to death because her husband slept with the neighbour and the neighbour's highly-intelligent kids took revenge by burning down their house.

A man watched his husband die right in his arms and couldn't do anything about it (sure he was revived afterwards but it's still fucking traumatic to have your loved one die in your arms).

And these are just some examples. There's probably more from plays that I haven't watched yet.

neighbor's under the bed doodles bc i am beyond obsessed with abigail but finally the obsession has extended its claws to let me think about the rest of the play!!!

johnny and janae highlights reel bc im liking my designs for them! autism brothers, falsettos reference, and johnny being a big brother and helping janae with his shoelaces (for all janae's genius, he never quite figured it out. i just want to make them kids man!!! siblings of all time!!)
