went to see jaws in 35mm yesterday and it was fantastic. really solidified that it’s my favorite film of all time.

kinda pissed off that people laughed at quints death tho

#idk why but ppl laughing at his death really does kinda rub me the wrong way #it’s not meant to be funny or amusing it’s sad #he died in a way that he never wanted to and sure it’s very symbolic given his obsessive hatred of sharks but that doesn’t mean laugh??#my partner & i think it’s bc there were a lot of kids & teens in the crowd so the effects probably looked goofy to them #& also just the general way that social media has made it so that no one is genuine anymore #partner also pointed out that w/ social media and more research into sharks we know now that what happened to quint wouldn’t be something a #shark could like just do. so that probably also seemed off esp since it was the first fully onscreen death #but idk rubbed me the wrong way #still!#the movie was fantastic and i loved it #ange rambles

Mostly spoiler free summary of my viewing experience

#The boy and the heron #how do you live #studio ghibli #ghibli #in all honesty that movie was legitimately so fantastic and im like changed as a person #Story wise as well! It hits really hard if you know a bit about miyazaki and his legacy. Its a very personal movie i think #And you can feel it in every aspect #The eng dub voice actors were really good as well and the animation was beautiful as always #Also really loved the tone!!! The story really relied a bit on the use of negative space in both sound and pacing and i enjoyed that alot #in conclusion go read a article about miyazaki and his son and then go watch the movie it’s probably going to be one of my favorites #image id in alt

Hearing Matthew Fogel describe Luigi like that, plus some of the expressions in the concept art, has me hoping that at some point (in a very reasonable set of situations) Luigi's going to snap Charlie Kelley style.

#Matthew Fogel has surprisingly based takes on The Mario Bros whenever he talks about them #(I mean I shouldn't say ''surprisingly''#the characterizations of the bros in the movie were fantastic and he was the main writer so it adds up)#But I really do love Luigi's Portrayal #In the Luigi's Mansion series (particularly 2 & 3) he so shy and quiet and nervous and a bit of a doormat #While in the sports & racing games Luigi is determined and excited and has a certain amount of grit to him #Movie Luigi feels like a good balance of both these qualities with a light sprinkling of SMBSS Luigi added in #he's just a goober who also at some point deserves to go off on a stress-induced rant whenever he's at the end of his rope #Luigi #The Super Mario Bros Movie

#phantom of the paradise #potp #winslow leach #teah the first one is from june dotn @ me #ane-ways as seen in thje last photo i went to the majestic showing LOL and not to reveal my youthfulness but i was most def the youngest #person there which was highkey intimidating especially when accompanied with my dad who was mistaken for the true fan multiple times #like no girl hes never seen this fucking movie and doesnt want to be here !!!!!!! im the true fan im the real one #my permanently prepubescent 5’7 looks didnt help either ;-/ HAHAHA #the crowd and actual event was fucking AWESOME thjough of course with it being a very queer and alternative audience and the showing being #special (if you get what i mean……) and of course mr. williams was an absolute delight and a fantastic speaker….. i laughed and teared up a #ton…. also shout- out to all the winslows swans phoenixes and ESPECIALLY the beefs in the crowd… if you guys are reading this then just know #that redhead boy with fried hair and an aquabats shirt wouldve loved to compliment you but he was too scareds #and forgot 2 mention but my dad ended up loving it and thanked me for introducing him to the film when we got home :-)

#talk about a film which hits you right in the trauma jesus CHRIST #i thought it was gonna be toilet humour and slapstick for 90 minutes not an exploration on the effects of childhood abuse!!!!!! 😭😭😭#not to get too personal on main but when you're raised in that kind of abusive controlling environment where your behaviour is scrutinised #you do want to give in and act out and conceptualise that there's somewhere there who cares about you and could save you #i have no idea why this movie received such bad reviews...to me it seems like a really cutting look at a hard topic #and both Phoebe Cates and Rik Mayall were fantastic #ohhhh man. my heart hurts. love it so much #could i call this a 'comfort movie' if it's eating away at my insides??? i don't know 😭😭😭#drop dead fred #phoebe cates #rik mayall #tw: trauma #starleskatalks

Yall imagine Danny getting help from Batman and tells him about how hes on the run (it was a joke in passing smh) and how he has no home (it was ment to be funny man) then all of a sudden Bruce way shows up on a totally casual stroll in his neighbourhood. “Oh look a child who is in need laaa dee daa let me help you poor random child who I have no idea who you are.” As if Danny is an idiot. He isnt fooled in the slightest. He knows when something is up. Batman clearly is using Bruce Wayne to help kids off the street.

Danny is staying at Wayne manner and notices how no one really talks about the bats. Or tif they do Bruce gets this look then quickly changes the subject. Hes putting so much effort into it too. And at first Danny hardly noticed. Now it’s obvious theres a connection. At first he thought Bruce Wayne hated batman with how often he refused to comment or gave his kids a glare when they mentioned the big bad bat. But now it’s clearly something else. Danny got a chance to talk to the commissioner alone and then it clicked. Danny had asked whats Mr.Waynes beef with Batman and the commissioner seemed so confused. Quickly telling Danny about how the two have worked together. How Bruce has even helped the bat with information or a distraction from time to time. Why would Danny think that he hated him???

And BAM Danny had it. Bruce Wayne is dating THE Batman!!! Holy shit it makes so much sense. Danny would often find batgear around the house. Bruce probably got targeted a bunch and thats probably how they met.

Now hes trying so hard to be supported of his clearly closeted father figure. He also gets why it’s not public info too. Paints a huge target on Bruce. Plus his many many kids. Must be hard for them. What a crazy life they live. Jason would probably be so jealous of their literal fairytale romance.

Danny tells Bruce that he is supported by him and that his secret is safe until hes ready to tell anyone else. Bruce niw thinking Danny knows hes batman shows up no mask and Danny goes nuts. “You can’t out yourself in danger to protect him bruce!!! You are just some himbo man!!! He wouldnt want this!!!” Thinking Bruce is going to try and fight in Batmans place.

Then Danny walks up and places a hand on bruces should (he has to reach lmao shorty). “I will go. I will keep everyone safe. You can count in me” transforms snd flys off to defeat the big bad. Leaving a fully stunned and confused bruce.
