Look, I love klapollo, we know this. But I don't know how you could ever convince Apollo to take Klavier seriously. The first thing Klavier does when he meets Apollo is immediately flirt, and the first thing he does once he knows who he is, is call him a 'little boy' who put his brother away (they are literally 2 years apart). Then that whole first part of the case he is just throwing insults. Really tears him apart. He still calls him Herr Forehead to this day! But he's also called him cool which is nice, but I think if anyone ever told me they 'liked my swagger' I think I would get a restraining order.
POV: You are Apollo and the pettiest man alive is trying to imply that he wants you carnally, but he also might be playing 5D chess to make fun of you for some arbitrary thing you said or did as he has numerous times before, but also you have witnessed this man being the dorkiest person alive and you're not sure how this fact might affect your perception of the situation.
POV: You are Klavier and the man of your dreams is staring you down like a witness who's actually a killer as you profess your undying love for him and it's a little unnerving and really ruining the vibe but the second you show nervousness he skitters off like a half starved feral cat, but you can't be normal about it bc you're an artist and also you are so deeply in love with him that being mellow seems disingenuous.
The answer is obviously open communication, but this is Ace Attorney and that's more illegal than murder. You gotta subtext a little harder, boys.

everyone thinks shuggy is childhood friends -> enemies -> lovers but really they're childhood friends -> miscommunication on a cosmic level that leads them to keep missing each other -> divorcees

fellas is it ill-advised to start up a sexual relationship with the guy that gave you hanahaki disease without telling him he's the one that gave you hanahaki disease

Okay but Katsuki definitely does not know Izuku’s on the fast train back to quirkless. “Don’t let me surpass you” has to hit SO different when Izuku gets a chance to process it

Roger telling Shanks about the world sinking and therefore Shanks refusing to go look for the One Piece is something very plausible, and somehow it only makes the story between Buggy and Shanks way more painful than it already is. Because there is no winner here.
Buggy finding out now about this and how his crew kept it from him and the rest of the world is already asphyxiating, but realizing Shanks knew too must be even dehumanizing, making him feel more left out and fueling the theory of Roger playing favorites with them. And the current situation makes it even worse because he is not finding this out from one of his allies, but from a damn world announcement. But even if he had found out years ago... Even if Shanks had told him... It would've been the same all over again and he would only have more reasons to hate him. Shanks will always be the face Buggy sees whenever he thinks about his lost dreams despite not being the one to blame. He is just always in the right place at the right time for Buggy to do so.
And that takes me to Shanks' POV of the situation (and yes, I am making this Shuggy, because there is no way I wouldn't) and how I believe he would refuse to tell Buggy. At least not right away. Because he knows Buggy resents him for things that aren't his fault. He was aware then, and he is aware now. But back then he still clung to the hope of Buggy accepting to go with him and become pirates together. Grow up together as they have always done, side by side. Teenage Shanks (in this concept of him knowing about the world sinking) wants to run away from what he knows it's a complete loss of time and enjoy the unknown time they have left together with Buggy. Telling Buggy would mean being the one destroying his dreams once again. The one thing Shanks knows in the uncertainty of their future is that he wants Buggy to come with him.
But since he doesn't say anything, Buggy mistakes that silence as cowardice, and Shanks understands why it happens and accepts his decision instead of chasing after him. Because no matter what truth he tells Buggy, it will always have the same outcome.
Also, this comes from a conversation I had with @m0thcl0wn yesterday and I believe Oda owes us quite a few sessions of therapy after making us suffer like this with these theories.

greg has a fundamentally better understanding of the separation between one's work life and personal life than tom does and it's literally because tom has little to no personal life that's independent from his career. his relationship with shiv and her family and how his Plan factors in means that every single move he makes can affect his job and his whole livelihood; he literally has no choice but to view everything through this lens. greg can find tom stressful to have as a boss and simultaneously like and care about him very much as a person and consider him his best friend, but tom cannot easily believe it because of the reality he's stuck in. business is the whole world and that's his tragedy :/

see if we are talking in like an individual way as a gem and pearl watcher i'm really happy from what i've seen of this session because i got big mounders crumbs, pearl lying to scott (YIPPEE) and gem had a joyful time despite the couple failed attempts on her life
as a shiny duo enjoyer who is tuned into their characters' drama this season i, however, want to put them (c!gem and c!pearl) both in a pit and leave them there to starve.

Can Marinette Bench press a building?!
(Ladybugs, also known as lady beetles or ladybird beetles, are able to carry objects that are up to 1,000 times their own weight due to the unique structure of their exoskeletons. An exoskeleton is an external protective covering that provides support and protection to the insect's body. This covering is made up of a material called chitin, which is a strong and lightweight polymer. The exoskeleton also gives ladybugs their characteristic shiny, hard shells. Ladybugs use their powerful leg muscles to lift and carry heavy objects, such as large leaves or other insects. The unique structure of their exoskeleton allows them to distribute the load evenly across their body, making it possible for them to carry heavy objects without being weighed down. Additionally, their strong legs and other muscles are equipped to sustain this weight too)
But like with her legs???
I wanna see a MLB x DC fic where Marinette is working with young justice and like a building fucking falls on them but marinette just fucking kicks it away. Or picks it up. Itd be even more absurdly funny if she wasn't transformed and the super strength is like a kwami side effect.
WHAT IS MARINETTES WEIGHT? IS THERE A CANNON ANSWER??? DO I HAVE TO PULL A MATPAT AND DO PIXEL MEASUREMENT MATHAMATICAL BULLSHIT???? I WANNA KNOW IF SHE CAN LOFT A BUILDING OR NOT!!!

can’t imagine the watcher decision wasn’t informed by the success of dropout, a streaming service I and many other people happily pay for, but this news undeniably feels like a disappointment in comparison, and am trying to articulate why:
1. amount of content. I can’t speak to when dropout first launched (I think I started subscribing late 2019?), but I know that when I joined, it already felt like there was an enormous backlog of series to explore—not to mention the amount that was also uploaded to youtube, albeit on a delay (I know I watched at least the first half of fantasy high s1 on youtube, if not the whole thing, and by the time I signed up for dropout, there was also s1 of unsleeping city, bloodkeep, tiny heist on the horizon, and s2 of fantasy high currently live streaming. not to mention the number of full episodes they'd uploaded to youtube of um actually, game changer, breaking news, etc. and how much more was then available on dropout)
I don't know what conversations were happening behind the scenes at dropout, I don't know in real-time what was subscriber-only and what was getting uploaded to youtube, or what the breakdown was of series getting created and solely released on dropout in comparison to content they were releasing for free. all I know is that when I heard about d20 and wanted to check it out, I was able to watch a good chunk via youtube, enough to know that I wanted more, and also to know that dropout had a whole lot else to offer that I was also curious about.
so that's one of the things that feels immediately different about the watcher announcement. they're teasing new series that will be available, but for the moment, it seems like everything that will currently be on the new platform is already available for free on youtube (to clarify, because there's been a lot of confusion on this front, they are not deleting their old content off youtube. all those videos are staying there). there's also a question of release schedule — are they talking about weekly episode releases of one season airing at a time, as was their youtube model, with stretches in between? I guess I come back to, if you're trying to go subscriber-only going forward (with the caveat that the first ep of a season will also get released on youtube, and also with the caveat that obviously dropout had to reach a certain level of success before it was able to release content at the volume, consistency and quality it does now), are you creating enough to justify the sort of wholesale transition they seem to be implementing? i'm not sure the answer is yes
2. paying/supporting artists. no one's arguing that you shouldn't pay or support artists, and there are incredibly valid critiques of how youtube hamstrings creativity and the issues with being beholden to advertisers. more creative freedom is a good thing. more independent artists is a good thing.
that said, it feels like there's a disconnect between what supporters are looking for from where there money is going and how watcher wants to spend it. the video really emphasized wanting to make tv-quality productions, and that they feel like they've hit a ceiling with the youtube business model in terms of achieving that aim, but are watcher fans looking for tv-quality productions? of the new series they mentioned, travel seemed like a pretty big element, which is obviously expensive. I think of new shows released on dropout, and they've clearly got solid production value behind them, but they're also still all filmed on a set (it's 3am in a warehouse!!) — even ambitious and expensive episodes of game changer are still basically shot in the same set of rooms, with the stakes raised from there (the escape room ep, bingo, etc.)
look, I don't work in digital media, and so I don't have a sense of what it costs to put on a show, but I can't help but look at some of watcher's stated ambitions that clearly need to have a significant budget behind them vs something like too many spirits (something I have to imagine has to cost a lot less, but which is just as enjoyable to watch) and wonder if part of the backlash has to do with how it feels like their current revenue is being spent/prioritized
and maybe the problem is that there's just a fundamental disconnect between the kinds of shows watcher wants to make, and what their audience is looking for, but if that's the case, it doesn't feel like moving to a subscriber-only system is the solution

I got a tarot reading done (past, present, future for anyone who cares) and essentially it boiled down to them saying that everything has come easily to me and I’ve never really struggled and that I have unlimited possibilities but I should make sure to watch my ego and not wait to long to make a decision. (Which like fair ig)
BUT….
It got me thinking about the fact that there is no winning when you’re just…. Good at things? I sound cocky when I just explain what I’ve done or just do what I’m able to do with little effort. If I downplay my skills I’m humble bragging or seeking attention and asking for compliments.
And when I do find the very few areas I struggle in I’m completely inept at handling failure and moving on because these are life skills that I never learned.
I know a lot of people talk about the gifted kid burning out and I sympathize and agree with so much of that rhetoric BUT what do you do when it’s not that you CAN’T do what you used to it’s that the appeal to doing well has worn off? Like completely losing motivation to put forth anything beyond minimal effort because there’s no “reward” so to speak.
I can’t help but imagine that’s why Gojo is the way he is. I know people have said it before and will say it again. It’s not that Gojo doesn’t care it’s that doing work, exorcising curses ect ect literally does nothing for him. It’s just an expectation that he’s able to do it, there’s no internal or external reward for doing such things. And there’s no one he can turn to for help when he is struggling because who can understand him? Who cares that he struggles when he’s perceived as having everything so easily. (Yall know the spiel).
Which got me thinking Gojo probably enjoys hanging out with non-sorcerers, or just being around them in general. There’s a whole group of people that don’t give a shit about who he is, doesn’t know what he can do -there’s absolutely no expectation in his interactions with them.
I felt this kind of freedom myself when I studied abroad in a Spanish speaking country. Even though I could understand and respond well it wasn’t anything close to how I am in English, and suddenly around complete strangers I was on the same level of everyone else. It was such a liberating feeling I can’t even describe it.
So I truly believe Gojo doesn’t just go out to get sweets and candy and dessert just because of an insatiable sweet tooth, but because it’s the only way he can interact with the world on the same ‘level’ as everyone else.
If he’s having a bad day, he’s accepted as having a bad day. No one would question if a stranger has the right to be in a bad mood. But back in the world of sorcerery there will always be that level of ‘what does he have to be upset about?’ because whether they want to or not they cannot separate Gojo the person and Gojo the strongest.

being a system can be really fucking hard and it comes with a lot of challenges and struggles but man?? I fucking love my headmates. I don't know what I'd do without them and my life is better because they are in it.

shoutout to people whose disability or mental illness makes them struggle to form words and sentences actually.
feels like i see so many people talk about when you find a group of people who “get you” (are also mentally ill / neurodivergent / disabled) it magically gets easier to have conversation but for me it never got easier. i can’t talk to anyone i misunderstand words and sentences i can barely string together sentences these days and it’s so embarrassing sometimes. i deal with severe fatigue and brain fog on top of autism & the social struggles that come with that, it is genuinely so hard for me to talk . even online i come across as awkward. i’ve lost so much of my vocabulary too.
i am mostly making this post to reassure myself but please know that it is ok to struggle to communicate in any way and the value of your relationships does not rely on how easy it is to express yourself. i am always going to struggle with this, the important part is feeling safe and not judged when i do have issues forming sentences

Mountains of gold
“It cannot be that bad”.
The first button of Shanks’ shirt is missing. Mihawk lightly plays with the string of his collar as he tries to work past the sudden tightness in his throat. Is it bad, really? It seems like a reasonable request. Why can he not bring himself to actually say it?
Mihawk has a wet dream about Shanks.

A lot of people in (and outside) the BL audience should watch more serious in-depth interviews with actors, writers and directors. Would clean out a lot of false assumptions and prejudices.
