no one speak to me for three weeks btw
tags: written for @prettyboykatsuki in mind. reader is gn, and is a rouge with a thief/street urchin background. marriage and discussion of children. takes place in act 3, spoilers for wyll’s personal quest. discussion of marriage. fluff.
synopsis: you overhear wyll bragging to the children. at first you think nothing of it until you hear him say somethings you weren’t privy to.
Wyll is good with children, a truth not doubted but known ever since you had met the fabled folk hero in the Emerald Grove. It’s something you hardly do not think of, if you don’t want to end up in some sort of frenzy of thoughts better left unsaid. At least for the chapter of life you two are currently in. Maybe, you think as you clutch the wishing acorn the love of your life had gifted you in the palm of your hand, maybe when all this is over you could discuss such things as a family with him. When Wyll is free of Mizora’s hands completely, when his father is safe from all plots and schemes and when the little friend in your head has been cast out - yes, you think, you would like to utter the words of a family to Wyll’s ever so kind ear.
Unlike you however, your intended is not as patient as you can hear him bragging to the tiefling children you have both met and saved in your travels to Baldur’s Gate. It makes you chuff, like a pleased tiger and shake your head oh so fondly as he utters tales of your adventures. As you draw near you can make out the words - he’s telling the tales of defeating the goblin camp leaders. The adventure feels like a lifetime ago but not the phantom ache of the knot on your head you sustained from Dror Ragzlin knocking you well and good on the head.
You hear one of the kids, Mattis with his shaggy dark hair and mischievous eyes that glitter like the gold he covets with his not-so-lucky rings.
“Looks like you don’t do much now, do you Blade of Frontiers?” Mattis mocks, snickering behind his red hand. Wyll laughs good-naturedly, letting the teasing roll off his back smoothly like water off a duck’s wing. It’s something you envy, how Wyll is never riled up by such empty words. Mattis pouts, petulant as he throws another half baked insult at the man.
“And what’s with you letting your allies take such a beating - first Karlach now this? Having a hard time picturing what good you are for Blade?” Wyll huffs a chuckle, a smug smile tugging at his full lips and you stare a little too deeply at how white his teeth are in the afternoon sun.
“Things are different now you see - I have another story for you…” Wyll continues on with the tale of where you fought off Roah Moonglow, a Zhentarim trader who stole all the gold in the common’s people’s coffers; there had been a fatal mistake that you had made and Wyll had saved you at the perfect time. Even had a second to spare to throw in a witty comeback and a brilliant smile your way before the fight continued. Mattis’s face scowled as even he had to admit that the story succeeded in making the Blade appear just as cool as you and Karlach.
If barely.
“So what’s different now? Did you finally know how to hold your own in a fight?” Mattis pouts, conceding that maybe the Blade of Frontiers was more cool than dorky. Wyll grins, brilliant teeth on display at the apple of his cheeks raised.
“I’m their husband now. No one can ever hurt them while I’m around.”
Scratch that. The Blade of Frontiers will forever be corny in the eyes of these tiefling children for as long as you and Karlach live - they even think that know-it-all wizard that hangs around you is cool by default. The children all gag, making their sounds of disgust with Mattis being the loudest of them all. They are quick to disperse, going off to do what children do best in the times they live in and you approach Wyll as they leave.
“Calling yourself my husband now are we? It’s been less than a tenday since you asked me to be yours. Unless we’ve had a ceremony within the same amount of time - I think it’s a little too soon to call you such a revered title.”
Wyll jumps at the sound of your voice, your quiet steps always managing to go under his senses. It makes you laugh a little, how the smallest testaments of your background manage to slip past the hero’s defenses. You watch with adoring eyes as Wyll flushes with a warmth that makes him shine in the daylight as he brings a hand to rub at the back of his neck from embarrassment.
“Please - don’t tell me you heard all of that?”
“Oh yes I did. Every word in fact.”
Wyll hisses in embarrassment, and even then he doesn’t hesitate to look back into your eyes when you gently run your hand on his arm.
“Do you mean that - that nothing can hurt me while you are with me?” You ask your voice soft with tentativeness. He softens, gaze going from embarrassment to an eager honesty simmered with so much affection you neve once thought you would be looked at with. Wyll is a smart man, perspective and he knows what it is you ask - the battles that you have yet to face but will have to as fate decrees; its golden thread dictating every action and word that is to be spoken.
Wyll takes the hand on his arm into his and gazes at you, the brown of his eyes turning golden under the warmth of his words.
“Yes, truly. I may be the Blade of Frontiers sworn to protect the Sword Coast but,” he pauses to lick his lips as if tasting the sweetness of his confession before uttering it to you, “I am first and foremost a blade sworn to you. So whenever our enemies are drawn near, don’t hesitate to point me their way.”
The devotion is heavy in each word spoken, something you had never been witness to - loyalty and devotion only gets you killed in the streets. So it takes you a moment to collect yourself, to pick yourself off the floor from the weight of the goodness Wyll holds for you. You swallow before speaking, your voice thick.
“You already asked me to marry you - you don’t need to lay it on thick.” You say, trying to deflect but Wyll only smiles, eyes fond and gently as he lets his thumb caress the top of your hand.
“I know, I can’t help but be sweet to you. And I swear to the Helm I’ll live up to my word everyday.”
You smile, lacing your fingers with his.
“I’ll hold it to you Lord Ravengard.”
“I hope to exceed all expectations.” His smile is smig but his words are warm - lovinging and truthful. Just as Wyll always is.

COME OVER AND LOVE ME
basketball player!taehyun x fem reader
genre: best friends to lovers, slight idiots to lovers, fluff, slight angst
word count: 5.2k
summary: after mulling over taehyun for years, am oppurtunity to confess your feelings presents itself, but things take a bad turn
warnings: kissing?, mature language, beomgyu's kinda a menace, real teenage romance movie vibes, not rlly proofread
notes: for my bestie @bluetyunhour ,, <3 also my first time ever actually posting a fanfic,, im scared lol
♫: playlist
you loved taehyun.
he was your best friend, and had been your best friend for as long as you could remember. he was your comfort, your safe space, and just an amazing person.
your wide-eyed, curious best friend.
you weren’t aware when- but your feelings for him changed. all of a sudden, he wasn’t just your best friend, he was someone you wanted to be something more with.
maybe it was when he joined the basketball team sophomore year. noticing just how fit your best friend really was.
you would catch yourself blushing when he said something, blood rushing into your cheeks at his little comments. mundane classes were now filled with excitement simply because he was there.
you didn’t know if he had notices the change/ you hoped he hadn’t noticed the change. the last thing you wanted to do was ruin your friendship with taehyun because you couldn’t control the way your heart felt.
you tried desperately to push all the feelings down, trying your hardest to not let taehyun’s heart-stopping antics effect you.
it seemed as though it was all in vain. no matter how hard you pushed, buried, drowned your feelings out- they just because stronger.
you had tried to distance yourself, telling taehyun you were “too busy” or had “too much homework”. little excuses that were believable!
taehyun was too nice though. moving his schedule around so he could make time to hang out with you, even skipping practice one day so he could stay in your house and watch a movie sprawled out on the couch with you.
you had no escape from him, and although you were desperately trying to find an escape from being near him so often, being suffocated by his presence everywhere you went because everything reminded you of him- you knew you couldn’t be without him.
you desiderated to be with him. you wanted nothing more than to call him yours.
-
“you’re gonna be rooting for me tonight, yeah?”, taehyun’s voice sounded behind you, making you jump slightly from his sudden appearance.
“of course i am, what kind of best friend would i be if i didn’t?”, you spun around to look at him, trying to keep a calm composure as you took in his outfit.
his black hair framed his face perfectly, a white polo adorning his top, with a navy blue crewneck overtop, khaki shorts on, showing off his long legs.
he knew how to style himself, and you knew he knew he looked good. he smiled softly at you, before stepping forward and pulling you into a hug.
he breathed out a sigh, his chin resting on the top of your head, “what would i do without you?”
you felt suffocated. everything about him was suffocating. his cologne was filling your senses, his strong arms holding you against him.
“you’d die without me, obviously.”
you felt his laugh rumble in his chest, his telltale giggle leaving his lips. he moved his head back to look down at you, everything felt entirely too intimate for you.
“y/n…”, his voice trailed off a bit, eyebrows furrowing a bit as he looked like he was trying to collect the words he wanted to use in his mind.
“yes?”
“do you maybe want-“
“taehyun!”
a voice coming from the entrance made both your beads turn, taking the chance to untangle yourself from taehyun’s arms, smiling awkwardly at beomgyu, who had walked in.
“i’m gonna go, i’ll see you guys later?”, you excused yourself quietly, waving at the two boys before heading out of the room, not missing the way beomgyu sent you a sly smile, feeling as though a brick was lifted off your chest the second you made it out.
you could only yearn for taehyun from the sidelines of your heart, never fully being able to tell him just how you felt, never even being able to hint at it, holding all your love and admiration for him in a special place in your heart, keeping it protected so you could never be let down.
over time, you feared your facade was breaking down, your love for taehyun shining through for your best friend's eyes, but never for his. it was as though it was invisible to him, something everyone could see but him.
maybe you were doing something wrong. no- maybe there was just something wrong with you. who falls in love with their best friend? who lets themself dangerously tiptoe between the lines of friendship and lover, lines that were blurred to no one else but you.
you threw your head back with a groan, fighting the frustrated tears that threatened to spill from your eyes, overflowing with yet another wave of regret as you grumbled to yourself while walking away, probably looking like a psycho to anyone else.
-
you watched taehyun run with his teammates, captivating your view as he was the only thing visible in your line of sight.
you heard the cheers, you heard the claps, you heard the whistles, you heard everything. you saw everything. but at the same time- you didn’t.
whenever taehyun was on the court, immersing himself in the game, losing himself in the thrill of it all, the cheers that pushed him, motivated him, he was captivating to you.
the way he smiled brightly when they scored, pearly eyes glistening as he celebrated with him teammates, yelling an exclamation that had a large smile pulling itself on your lips as you clapped and cheered with the crowd, exclaiming for the man you loved.
the game continued on slowly, when the opposing team would score, your team would score, it was a race to the end, and neither team was backing down.
you knew why this game was so important. it was the pre-qualifiers for tournaments, and getting to those meant big things- obviously.
you were stressed, to put it simply. you found it funny sometimes, how you had never been a fan of basketball, never payed it any mind, never growing an interest in it- or any sports- in the slightest.
that was until taehyun started playing.
he would meet you after practice, telling you everything that went down, how he dunked perfectly, how he scored perfectly from the center of the court!
you nodded along every time, pretending to understand the words and rules that were coming out of his mouth.
it sounded like simlish to you.
taehyun must’ve caught on to this at some point, because soon he was begging you to just watch one NBA game with him.
“pleeease, y/n. just one, i just want you to be able to understand.”, he whined, pulling on your arm as you stared up at him exasperatedly.
“why are you so adamant about this? it’s not like i’m the one playing!”
“well, yeah,”, he looked a bit dejected, “but i want my favorite person to know what i’m doing when she comes to my games.”
your breath caught in your throat as your eyes widened slightly, not having enough time to control your reactions as his words hit you.
“well- i- i mean, sure. yeah. i could watch like… one game.”, your words stumbled out of your mouth, your brain had completely shut down, words spilling out like an avalanche as you attempted- and failed- to regain your composure and not look like you were seconds away from ripping your hair out of your head.
he sent you a sly smile, seemingly aware of the effect he had on you. little shit. why were you even friends with him?
he pinched your check, muttering something about you being cute before sauntering off to your couch, “thank you! i’ll put on one of my favorite games!”
rolling your eyes, you realized you had once again fallen victim to your overwhelming feelings for taehyun, giving into anything he wanted because how could you ever say no to him?
and so you sat with him, listening as he explained what the referees were calling out, pausing the television every few minutes to go in depth on a subject, hands flying around and such a serious expression on his face, you almost got distracted by him before you had to catch yourself.
but the more he ranted, the more you realized that seeing him ramble on and on about something he was so passionate about was something you wanted to see more of. so, you let him play another game, and another… and another.
over time, you slowly realized that you were becoming interested in basketball. whether it was genuine interest, or you gaslighting yourself to be interested because of taehyun’s love, you weren’t sure.
but you learned all the rules.
every time taehyun had free time, he would come over and watch a new game with you, chips and drinks surrounding you two as you immersed yourselves in the television, face scrunching up when something unfortunate happened.
it got to a point where you caught yourself complaining out loud when they called a foul, eyes rolling and asking taehyun, are they serious, before angrily stuffing chips into your mouth.
and soon you were jumping up with him when the team you were rooting for won, exclaiming with him as you did your little happy dance in the living room, never once stopping to question how stupidly uncoordinated you looked.
then you were at his practices, you were bringing him lunch, you were watching him play. you became close with his teammates, learning all their names, and even know as he played in college and roomed with 4 of his teammates who you had grown close with, you were still going to his practices when you had time. it was a routine.
basketball had grown to be something you loved, and enjoyed. and you had taehyun to thank for all of it.
a yell tore you out of your daydreaming, zoning back in on the game as you realized the game was about to end, and taehyun’s team needed to score this point to win the game.
you let your elbows rest on your knees as you leaned forward, concentration etched on your face as you watched the ball travel back and forth between players, the loud squeaks of shoes rubbing against the gym floor slightly causing your eyes to twitch, but you stayed focused.
players on the opposing team were starting to become restless, and you picked up on that, noticing taehyun did as well, his eyes zoning in on the ball as he grounded himself to watch where the ball was going next before he leapt into action.
he weaved through the players easily, dodging hands and bodies that tried to block him, easily swiping the ball from underneath another player, holding onto the ball as he spun away from the man before letting the ball drop to the ground again as he dribbled it easily, making his way to the middle of the court.
you watched as he closed his eyes for a quick second, eyebrows furrowing as he pushed breath out his lips. you noticed it was a habit he had picked up, when he was getting ready to shoot, and he was concentrated, he made that face. you found it endearing.
with 5 seconds left on the clock, his eyes opened back up, a dark gaze in them as he zoned in on the basket. his arms lifted up, his fingers gliding off the ball easily as he shot it into the air, watching as it rolled through the air, landing in the basket and scoring a point easily.
the room erupted with cheers as you realized taehyun had won the game. he had made the winning shot. he was going to the tournaments.
you couldn’t hold back the yell that escaped your throat as you screamed for him, watching as his head turned towards your voice, before he was running straight to you with a wide, confident smile on his face.
“did you see what i did?”, he practically yelled over the cheers, arms pulling you into his embrace before quickly pulling back, hands coming up to hold onto the sides of your face.
you breath caught in your throat, a warmth spreading across your whole body, “yes! you were amazing!”
he stared at you for a second, not saying anything. there was once again the expression you couldn’t read on his face, his brows furrowing the tiniest bit.
you didn’t have time to think about it too much though, because as you opened your mouth to say something, you felt a pair of soft lips press against yours.
a small gasp left your lips, your whole body melting into taehyun’s touch and kissing him back before you even processed what you were doing.
his lips moved against yours perfectly, soft lips enveloping your own as his hands caressed your face, his touch featherlight, but somehow still holding you in place.
he pulled away slowly, pressing his forehead against your own as heavy breaths escaped the both of you.
you didn’t know what had just happened. your brain was going blank, thoughts seemingly disappearing into this air as you tried to recollect yourself, tried to make any sense over what had just happened.
your eyes fluttered open, staring into taehyun’s eyes, not knowing exactly what to say. a dark red blush covered his cheeks, and he carefully removed his hands from your face and pulled his face away from yours, reality slowly hitting the both of you.
“i.. i don’t know why i did that.”
oh.
did he regret it?
you didn’t know what to say. your felt as though your mouth had gone dry, eyes blinking haphazardly and mouth stuttering open and closed.
“oh..”, was all that you were able to get out.
taehyun opened his mouth to speak again, but before he could get any words out, soobin was clapping him on the back, thanking him for winning and doing so well for the team.
“hey, y/n!”, he greeted you quickly, before his eyes were quickly fleeting back to taehyun.
you didn’t have it in you to reply at the moment.
you watched as taehyun was dragged away, eyes holding contact with yours for as long as he could until bodies were blocking his view from you, turning him around, speaking to him, thanking him, things he should’ve wanted to hear.
but he didn’t.
he didn’t want to hear those things right now.
he wanted to speak to you, he wanted to be able to tell you it wasn’t a mistake, he knew why he kissed you. he kissed you because he was in love with you. truly, madly, deeply in love with you in such an irrevocable way he couldn’t change it even if he tried.
but as he desperately looked at the spot where you were standing seconds ago, he saw no one, the ghost of the incident that had happened between you two seconds ago replaying in your mind.
you tried to hold back your tears as you stumbled through the doors of the gym, not knowing what to do or think or feel or..
you were overstimulated, wanting everything to slow down and speed up at the same time.
finally, the flood of tears you were holding back broke, tears streaming down your face freely as you tried to make your way to your car as quickly as you could, not wanting anyone to see or hear the way ugly sobs were leaving your mouth.
you didn’t know why taehyun had kissed you.
you thought for a second he felt the same way as you, maybe he was as deeply in love with you as you were with him!
but the way he looked after, the expression on his face, the words that left his mouth..
you felt stupid.
you felt stupid. there was no other words to describe how you felt. foolish. you were foolish for thinking that way for even a second.
and as you climbed into your car, a whole new wave of emotions hit you as more sobs wrecked your body, letting your head hit the steering wheel as regret coursed through your veins.
what had you done?
-
you were a wreck.
you hadn’t called taehyun in two days, hadn’t texted him, you hadn’t even been going to school for the sole fear of running into him.
your friends had noticed your absence, knowing that something like this was not part of the norm for you, so you had been getting bombarded with messages asking if you were okay, if you were feeling sick, if you needed someone to talk to.
you replied with a simple “i’m fine<3” every time. because how lame would you seem if you told them you had fallen into some type of depression because you had kissed your best friend?
there was something so delicate about your and taehyun’s friendship now, and you were scared that if you messed with it in the slightest, it would rip. and you couldn’t risk losing your best friend.
but what if by not talking to him you were losing him?
what if you talked to him and lost him that way?
too many negative thoughts were swirling in your mind like a hurricane ravishing a town, leaving nothing but destruction in its wake.
perhaps it was time to just… watch netflix while cuddled in your favorite blanket, blocking out the rest of the world and all your worries.
yeah, that sounded really nice right about now.
-
taehyun had been anxiously checking his phone nonstop for the past two days.
debating whether he should text you first, or wait for you to reach out first.
he was in such a dilemma, he didn’t know what to do to solve this.
actually, the answer was simple. but was he ever actually going to confess to you?
that’s funny.
the boys didn’t want to say anything the first day, brushing it off as them looking too deeply into things.
but this was not how taehyun acted normally. no, he carried himself so confidently. he knew what he wanted. he didn’t back down. this taehyun they had seem moping around the dorm, school, and even practice- a place where all his worries usually disappeared- was not the taehyun they knew.
“hey, taehyun," yeonjun called, taking the spot next to him on the couch, “have you been feeling alright lately?”
taehyun’s head jerked up, a bit of confusion painting his face as he stared at his older friend, “yeah, i’ve been fine. why?”
“you just haven’t been acting like your normal self lately. wanted to make sure everything was alright.”, yeonjun explained, sending a small smile taehyun’s way before getting ready to move on with his day after being reassured taehyun was indeed okay.
while standing up from the couch, he felt a slight tug on his shirt and turned around to see taehyun lightly grabbing onto his shirt, a conflicted look in his eyes.
“taehyun,” he sat down once again, giving his full attention to him, “what’s going on?”
he stayed quiet for a bit, obviously not knowing how to approach this conversation in any way.
“are you done watching tv? i wanna play my game.”, beomgyu’s voice echoed down the hall, bouncing into the living room without a care in the world.
“beomgyu, just wait a second, alright?”, yeonjun asked him, and beomgyu immediately noticed how yeonjun was in his “big serious brother mode”- a name the boys had made for when he got like this- and slowly walked over to the couch, taking a seat near taehyun.
“continue, taehyun.”
taehyun shook his head lightly, “i don’t even know where to start.”
“well, just try and explain it. i’ll wait.”, yeonjun reassured him, and taehyun was grateful to have such caring friends for a second.
“imightvekissedy/natthebasketballgametwodaysagoandnowidontknowwhattodo.”
yeonjun’s head visibly shot back from the speed of which the words were thrown at him, not even being able to pick out a few.
beomgyu’s voice filled the silence, “what the fuck did you just say?”
“slow down your words, tae.”
“okay,” he took a deep breath before clearing his throat, “i kissed y/n at the basketball game two days ago when we won because i was excited and now i don’t know what to do, i’m afraid i ruined our friendship. i told her i didn’t know why i kissed her and didn’t say anything else”
silence.
no one said anything for a solid five seconds, if you listened closely enough you would probably be able to hear the neighbors next door.
taehyun said nothing as he stared at yeonjun awaiting his reaction, for him to say something, anything, but all he was getting was a dumbfounded look in return.
then beomgyu’s laugh filled the room, loud and boisterous as he smacked taehyun on his back, hard enough to make taehyun spin around with an exasperated look.
“dude, are you fucking stupid?”, beomgyu exclaimed after calming himself down, smiling at taehyun.
“this isn’t funny, beomgyu. i seriously don’t want to lose her!”, taehyun sighed, letting his head rest in his hands as he took a deep breath to calm himself down.
yeonjun moved himself a bit closer to taehyun, patting his back as he tried to form his next sentence.
“look, taehyun, i’m pretty sure beomgyu’s not laughing to make fun of you, it’s just-“, he started, before being rudely cut off.
“she’s been in love with you for years!”
taehyun’s head shot up at the sound of that, staring at beomgyu with an incredulous look.
“what?”
“i’m surprised you haven’t realized. we all know, i guess you’re the only one that didn’t.”, beomgyu continued, speaking as if this was supposed to be common knowledge to taehyun.
it sounded like some alien language to him.
you? in love with him? there’s no way he didn’t notice.
“beomgyu, you better not be fucking lying to me right now.”, taehyun spoke, brain running into overdrive.
“he’s not.”, yeonjun spoke this time, sending taehyun a reassuring smile.
“i’ve spoken to her about it before. i told her to just tell you because it wouldn’t go as badly as she was thinking. she’s honestly head over heels for you.”, he continued.
“but-“, taehyun tried to speak, before being cut off by yeonjun once again.
“and, to be quite honest, you ghosting her after randomly kissing her out of nowhere, then proceeding to tell her you didn’t know why you did… that has to be making her feel like shit, knowing how much she likes you.”, yeonjun finished. he made sure to give taehyun a disappointed dad look.
taehyun was standing up in a second, the boys not even being able to process how fast he was moving until he was pulling on his shoes by the door.
“taehyun, where’re you going?”, yeonjun asked, and instead of getting a reply, he got the door shutting in his face.
“it’s raining, taehyun get a jacket!”, beomgyu also
called out to him, but his warnings fell on dead ears as taehyun was long gone.
there was nothing but adrenaline coursing through his veins as he pushed through the heavy rain, ignoring the way the fat droplets stung his skin, feeling himself become more and more drenched with each king stride he took, already knowing he would be getting a cold from this, but he couldn’t find it in himself to care.
all he knew was that he needed to make things up to you.
if only he had picked up on the signs that were apparently obvious to everyone else, maybe you would’ve been his by now, but he was so oblivious to everything that he missed every little sign and hint you threw his way.
he pushed past people walking on the street, not even bothering to apologize as he cut people off, mind fixed on one thing and one thing only.
feet slipping on wet concrete as he caught himself from falling too many times to count at this point.
he finally made it to your apartment building, standing outside for a few seconds to catch his breath and make sure he actually knew what he was about to do.
he thought he should’ve been second guessing at least one part of this by now, but he wasn’t. not one single thing.
he stared up at the floor you lived on, mentally readying himself for whatever outcome he walked out of the building with. he just needed you to know, needed you to understand how far the extent of his feelings for you were.
he was indisputably in love with you.
-
you had to say, sitting on the couch for seven hours straight was slowly making you feel worse rather better.
you had nothing else to do though, and you refused to leave the house for reasons that were obvious to you only.
so, watching reruns of gilmore girls had become your new reality for the last couple days, curled under your favorite blanket with a snack in arms reach at all times.
it was entertaining at first, it distracted you, and it felt like the start of summer break, when you did absolutely nothing for a couple days and just savored not being in school.
at this point though, you just felt like you were rotting into the couch. your mind drifted off to your movie marathons with taehyun every once in a while, and you would have to turn off the tv and get on your phone for a bit.
it was like he followed you around everywhere. even if he wasn’t there in person, you tried to do everything you could to distract yourself, to think of anything besides him.
but your mind would always come back to him. you would find some way to relate what you were doing with him, and that would ruin your day all over again.
presently, you were watching pretty little liars, starting to venture into shows you had watched years and years ago.
you were just getting to a good scene when a knock sounded on your door.
you weren’t expecting company, confused as you stood up from the couch to slowly make your way over to the door.
god, no one needed to see you in this state, you were praying it was just a delivery guy or something.
you hadn’t ordered anything though, so that seemed implausible.
looking through your peephole, you felt as though all the air was ripped from your lungs.
taehyun was standing on the other side.
you almost didn’t open it, wanting to turn the other way and run straight for your bedroom, but you knew you were going to have to speak to him about what happened sooner or later.
he was also soaking wet, and you felt bad for him.
slowly, you opened the door, feeling meek as your eyes met his, trying to not break down on the spot.
“taehyun.. what are you doing here,” you looked him up and down, “and why are you soaking wet?”
you grabbed a hold of his forearm so you could pull him inside, immediately setting him down on the couch as you began to trudge off to your room to grab him clothes he had left the last time he was here.
you were trying so hard to hold yourself together right now.
reaching into your closet to grab his clothes, you heard footsteps approach from behind you.
“y/n.”
you didn’t turn to face him, instead keeping your eyes trained ahead, refusing to let yourself break.
“you can just listen, that’s fine.”
you heard a quiet sigh, before he began speaking again.
“i.. i know i messed up a few days ago. honestly, i don’t know what was going through my head. i mean, i do know. i wanted to kiss you. i really like you, i mean, i honestly think i’m in love with you but- i just, that wasn’t the right time to act on my feelings for you. and i was in shock about what i did so i just.. i said i didn't know why i did it. i do know. i did it because i’m in love with you, and i don’t know if you feel the same way, beomgyu told me you did which is why i ran all the way over here but-“
“taehyun.”
you had turned around while he was mid rant, and he didn’t even realize, looking at the ground while he talked, fingers fidgeting with the hem of his shirt, and his own hands. he was obviously incredibly nervous.
“hm?”, his voice was meek, eyes meeting yours once again.
“i’m in love with you, too. i have been for years.”, you replied quietly, a small smile on your lips, watching the way his eyes lit up at your sentence.
he took two quick steps towards you before his lips were on yours once again.
hands pressed on either side of your face, holding you like you would disappear if he let go.
there was so much emotion, so many more feelings than you thought could be exchanged through a simple kiss.
his lips molded with yours perfectly, moving against you in a way that made you feel complete. you were once again completely surrounded by him, but you enjoyed it this time.
you felt like you were on cloud nine, your hands sliding all over his arms, trying to find some way to ground yourself.
very carefully, you felt his tongue prod at your lips, and your mouth was opening before you knew what you were doing.
mouths working together in such a love-filled way, you let all your inhibitions go, completely falling into this new feeling, and letting yourself be fully surrounded by it.
was this what people meant when they talked about a true love’s kiss?
the only reason you pulled away was due to your lungs starting to burn from the lack of oxygen, keeping your eyes closed as you caught your breath.
“so pretty..”, you heard taehyun whisper, and you couldn’t fight the shy smile that formed on your lips.
your eyes fluttered open softly, letting out a quiet giggle once you met his eyes, head leaning into the crook of his neck as your hands circled his waist, holding him so close to you.
a laugh erupted from his lips at your action, “god, you’re so cute.”
this is what true love felt like. you knew it then and there. this is what all the characters in romance movies talk about, this is the feeling they try to convey. you understood it now. and it felt amazing.
you pulled away to look at him, “so, we’re like.. dating now right?”
another small chuckle left his lips.
“well, y/n, do you want to be my girlfriend?”, he asked dramatically, taking on the voice of a prince after saving the princess.
it was your turn to burst into laughter, slapping his chest lightly and rolling your eyes.
“you’re supposed to take a moment like this seriously! but yes, i do want to be your girlfriend.”
“good, because there was no way i was letting you go.”, he confessed quietly, a hand coming to hold your face as his thumb stroked your cheek.
you leaned up to capture his lips with yours once again, a small peck before you pulled back. taehyun’s lips tried to follow yours, but you only giggled softly, pulling back more and more.
“i’m not done kissing you.”
you were in for a long night.
lollll i hope u enjoyed :)))))

The 8th Princess of Sea
Chapter 3
I hid behind a rock so I can see what will happen. I couldn't hear good but as i heard a girl wants to have a better life and he wants something in return. Good mind. When they finished there deal with just a blink they disappeared. I started looking for them but couldn't find them.
"Hi there" a high voice said.
I looked up and saw Rumpelstiltskin standing on rock and looking at me. I blushed a little and got away from rock and looked at him with shy eyes.
"Not very talkative as I can see" he said.
"What are you doing in water on night??" He asked.
I showed him my tail and he just smirked.
"Oh a mermaid I see".
He looked at me carefully, like he was studying me. His eyes met my necklace, it had pink shell and pink pearl inside.
"Pink pearl? Colour pearls only have royal mermaids. Who are you???"
"Mmy ...naame ..iis.. Koko" I said.
"Are you scared of me??" He asked
I nodded as no. He got a little bit confused.
"How??"
"I like you... Your story is interesting" I said and he looked at me shocked.
"How do you know my story, princess??"
I dressed myself and left my room immediately. I rushed over to a Mr. Gold's shop because Im still confused how he left my room this morning. I got inside and saw him standing on the other side of counter.
"To be honest I love more a view of your boobs when you don't have anything covering them, my dear" he said not looking up.
"How tf did you leave my room this morning?! You couldn't jump out of the window because you walk with fucking cane" I asked still shocked.
He looked at me now and started walking towards me. When he got a few centimeters away from me he pulled me by waist to get closer to him. Our lips almost met again.
"It's a secret dear, but you don't have to worry the only thing that is good is that your manager didn't see us" he said and smirked.
Oh God I love when he smirks. I looked at him with my blushed face and shy eyes.
"Oh God how I love when you look like this" he said and kissed me.
We were kissing for two minutes and than a bunch of people came into his shop.
"Rumpelstiltskin!!!" A blonde girl said.
I jumped a little and looked at them.
"Miss Yamanaka?? Is that you?" A mayor said.
Oh my God no... I gave them a little smile still embarrassed.
"Hiii..."
Mr. Gold pulled me closer by waist again into a hug so I don't have to face them. I hugged him and closed my eyes, all of the sudden I felt sleepy and Mr Gold took me in his hands.
Rumpelstiltskin pov
I had a great moment with Koko when miss Swann and the others came into my shop. I remembered from Enchanted Forest that Koko would calm down with hug so I pulled her into a hug and put her to sleep because she still doesn't remember anything about her real life. I took her into my hands and walked to back room to put her to sleep. When I got back the group was still waiting for me.
"How can I help you people?" I asked surly angry.
"What are you doing with that poor girl Rumpelstiltskin?" Emma asked.
"That's Koko, the youngest daughter of King Triton" I said.
"that's nonsense King Triton's youngest daughter is Ariel" Snow White said.
"No it's not. He has 8 daughters but his youngest ran away, nobody knew why" Regina said.
Everyone were looking at her now.
"It's true. Do you people know a story about The Devil's Triangle??" I asked.
Henry stepped closer to me.
"That's story about Koko. She didn't like how her father has never gave her attention so she ran away to be with her aunt Ursula, but than she got mad at her aunt for not giving her legs and she ran away somewhere in the ocean, but than sailors started to die on specific spot in the ocean where people started to think that mermaid had to do something with it. It was Koko???" Henry asked.
"You are smart about fairytales" I smiled at him
"Yes it's true everything that Henry said but he doesn't know some details"
"Koko loves storys, but because her aunt didn't know much storys about Aurora, Cinderella or you Snow White, she would tell her storys about Regina, Jafar, mee. As she told me she loved my story, it was her favourite. One night when I was making a deal with poor girl, I spotted something in the water. That night I met Koko"
"My aunt Ursula knows you. She told me about you, your story is very sad. You didn't have a choice. You are not a coward". She said and came closer to rock again.
I looked at her shocked. Why is she like this? She should be scared? She looked at me with her innocent blue eyes. At that moment I felt her hand on my leg.
"You should be scared of me... Im The Dark One...."
"But I know your story, you are not that scary at all"
I looked at her and saw that her pearl started to glow. She looked at it and became sad.
"I have to go, my aunt is calling me. Will I meet you again??" She asked with tears in her eyes.
"Don't cry dear. Let's meet here tomorrow at midnight, what do you say?" I asked and smiled.
She just nodded. She jumped from sea and kissed my cheek and ran deep down in the ocean. I was standing there for a few minutes and came back to my castle, thinking about her.
They all looked at me different. Snow White, Prince Charming, Emma and Henry looked at me with melting eyes but Regina looked angry.
"Have she ever sang to you?" Regina asked.
"She did once, why?"
"She is a mermaid Rumpelstiltskin, she made you fell in love with her just so she can kill you"
"STOP THAT NONSENSE REGINA!! YOU TRIED TO BREAK US ONCE AND YOU DID IT BUT NOW YOU WON'T DO IT!! I WON'T BELIEVE IN THAT SHIT ANYMORE!!" I yelled at her.
"Lisa... It's alright darling" Snow White said.
I looked back and saw her standing there, terrifying. I made a few steps to her but she got few steps away.
"Who are you people??" She asked with tears inher eyes.

Headcanons for being Hopper’s daughter and dating Eddie Munson (Part 2)
Eddie Munson x fem!Hopper!reader
warnings: death, angst, guns, violence, drugs, etc
a/n:
prompt: anonymous: “Hello! I was wondering if I would be allowed to request being the daughter (or just child) of Jim Hopper and dating Eddie Munson headcanons please and thank you <33”
part 1
eddie was sincerely freaked and a bit relieved you believed him in all of this mess
he was your boyfriend, you told him everything BUT this. now he got to hear it all
“why didn’t you tell me before?” -eddie
“eddie, you of all people know how lame the government is. i could be killed bringing anyone into this of my free will” -you
“yeah…fuck the government” -eddie
walking him through ‘83 and the demogorgon, ‘84 and the demodogs and the gate and such, ‘85 and the mind flayer and soviets, up until now
which was jarring
“y/n…are you okay?” -eddie
“are you?” -you
you were ready to fight for eddie. you were ready to make this all go away but you were wracking your brain on how you could swing this
keen on calming him down, but you needed to leave in order to help him out
“i mean, y/n, do you really think you should be out there? everyone knows youre his girlfriend, they’ll be after you, too” -steve
“worried for me, stevie?” -you (steve had a crush on you in middle school)
“will you let that go? now is not the time!” -steve
this time…it was different. it was peculiar, it was personal
and another body dropped, making the stakes feel even higher as your people tried to find the culprit
meanwhile, jason carver was seeking you out. an eye for an eye, perhaps?
“y/n, do you really think you of all people should be carrying a gun right now? i mean, all eyes are on you. it won’t look good if you’re caught” -nancy
“no one died of gunshot wounds, i’ll be fine” -you
“you really do sound like your dad” -nancy
“thanks, hope i don’t die like him, too” -you
“i’d say, right now, you have a better chance of dying like chrissy and fred” -dustin “what?! just saying”
checking on eddie as much as you can
and very strongly warning against getting high because this already felt like a trip
but u got him many snacks and some stuff to keep him occupied for the time being
“im not used to responsible y/n. it’s weird. you’re weirding me out” -eddie
he flirted with you over the radio a little too much
“ahem…you know we can all hear you two, right?” -robin
putting on a show for the cops to get them off your trail
“miss hopper, give us a reason to conclude you’re not a suspect” -powell
“oh, im not little y/n anymore?” -you
“you live with him, you spend all your time with him. this whole town thinks it was you, too” -callahan
“you think this is easy for me, guys? you think i’m not looking over my shoulder every other step? that could have been me, right?! and now the man who had offered me a home is nowhere to be found and i have nowhere to go and now i have to deal with you two—people i thought i could trust and could trust me—following me around like im a killer! i just want this to end!” -you, crocodile tears streaming down your face
“we’re sorry, y/n. for all of it, okay? but be careful out there, a lot of people have their eyes on you and we can’t stop that from happening” -powell
at least you got the cops off your trail
plans were finally starting to be set in motion
especially after the gate at lover’s lake had opened
“y/n, y/n, wait, don’t jump in there. don’t go” -eddie, latching onto you
“you’re gonna learn with us that no one gets left behind, eddie. steve needs us. you can still go with the kids, it’s okay” -you, diving in
eddie followed you down and into the upside down in immediate conflict
“y/n, where’s your gun?!” -nancy
“ammo’s wet, we’re gonna have to do this the old fashioned way” -you, picking up an oar
after everyone was deemed safe, eddie apologized for “chickening out”
“eddie…this is your first time in the thick of it. no one blames you for being scared or hesitant, we all were at first. some of us still have those moments. but we all look out for each other, and we’re looking out for you, too. don’t sell yourself short” -you
“you know, that thing with the oar..? it was kind of hot” -eddie
“should have seen that one coming from a mile away” -you
“so you agree you’re hot?” -eddie
ok so when you’re in this “fight for your life” mode you may be just a teeny bit hot
he was so used to your “idgaf” attitude and the way you were heading for burnout and now you were all business
getting to eddie’s other-side trailer and ultimately escaping (with a few hiccups)
and creating your master plan
“y/n, how do you think we’re gonna save him?” -dustin, leaning against you in the RV
“how do you mean?” -you
“eddie. how are we gonna convince the town he’s not a killer if we cant expose vecna?” -dustin
“well, now that we know that the creel murders are connected to vecna, maybe the government will say creel escaped or something. i don’t know, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it, dusty” -you
eddie was asleep on your other shoulder
when you went to gear up, you ran into jason
“y/n hopper, the devil worshipper’s girlfriend. what’re you doing out in this neck of the woods?” -jason
“i think you mean the sheriff’s daughter, i’m not defined by my previous relationships” -you, lying completely
“ah, so you’re saying that you left him? finally come to your senses?” -jason
“just looking out for myself” -you, holding up your newest purchases
“well, we can look out for you, too. you’re more than welcome to come with us” -jason
“i’ll pass, jason. i have my own people to look out for” -you
jason glanced around
“oh, the hellfires? your story isn’t adding up here, y/n. you sure you’re not standing with eddie?” -jason, inching closer to you to intimidate you
steve and robin ran to your aid to get jason away from you before you inevitably shot him in the foot or something
and off you all went, splitting up to hopefully end this all once and for all
“max…” -you
“yeah?” -max
you pulled her in for a really strong hug
“be careful, okay? i can’t lose my moping buddy” -you
“you’re not allowed to mope without me, you know?” -max
you and the rest of the crew went upside down and as much as you wanted to see the most metal concert ever, you were needed at the creel house
“you be careful, alright?” -eddie
“me? sounds like you’re underestimating me” -you
“hey, im not sure how these things play out, it’s my first time” -eddie
“you never forget your first” -you
you gave him a goodbye kiss and sped off for him to distract the bats
and within the walls of the creel house, things went south really fast
and by the time you thought everything was over, the clock chimed one last time
“no…please no…” -you, dropping to your knees
nancy tried to comfort you, but you all had to rush out as soon as possible
and when you finally did, hawkins fell into ruins
“eddie?! dustin?! lucas?? erica?? where is everyone?!” -you on the walkies
you slowly gathered together, but when you found dustin he was alone
“dustin? where’s eddie, dustin?!” -you
dustin was sobbing, he couldn’t say a word, but he had grabbed fished a ring out of his pocket belonging to eddie
“he asked me to give this to you” -dustin
you broke down into tears with him, losing two of the closest people to you in such a short span of time, the ones who had gotten you through the roughest patch of your life
dustin latched onto you and wouldn’t let go
and you soon met in the hospital to find lucas, just as shaken up as the rest of you as max lay nearly lifeless in the hospital bed
and he needed you too
“lucas, can you take a walk with me?” -you
he explained everything that happened. jason and the walkman, watching her be attacked, her last words, the miraculous return of her heartbeat
“it was my fault. i should have pulled her out but i didn’t and it was too late. she was so scared and i let her down” -lucas
and then he cried too, and you grabbed him and pulled him in the same way you did dustin. the way you did with everyone every time someone died and the same way they did to you when you lost your father
“none of this is your fault, lucas. we all did our best, but we had no idea what we were up against. but i’m here for you, okay? always and forever” -you
the next few days were insane as most people’s homes were destroyed. you were homeless, staying with the wheelers again. trying to help those less fortunate than yourself. taking care of everyone else to get your mind off of terrible losses
staring at and tracing your tattoos like you used to do with eddie
when packing up the car for donations, you turned to see a van full of (mostly) familiar faces
“el!” -you, running to hug your sister
you lifted her and spun her around
“i missed you” -eleven
“i did too. uh, what…what happened to your hair?” -you
“it’s a really long story. you’re not gonna believe it. where’s eddie?” -eleven
“he’s…oh, eleven, he’s not here with us anymore” -you
she pulled you in for another tighter hug
“y/n? still coming to the school?” -steve
“uhhh…shit, steve. i think there’s something else we need to do” -you
you and the crew went to the cabin
while dustin found uncle wayne at the school and broke the news
“where’s y/n? is she okay?” -wayne
“she’s alive, but she’s far from okay. she’s heartbroken” -dustin
“tell her to find me here when she gets the chance. she’s family to me, all i really have left. i’d like to speak to her at the very least” -wayne
you were cleaning the cabin when a car pulled up and you quickly pulled eleven behind you
you’d only just got her back
but were stunned to see your father exiting the car
“dad..?” -you
you ran into his arms and were soon joined by eleven in a family group hug
he kissed the top of your head as you finally sobbed in relief instead of grief.
there was so much for each of you to catch up on
“is that a tattoo? y/n, how many tattoos did you get?” -hopper
“i missed you?” -you, laughing through tears

I have a request for a story. If your requests arnt still open that fine you can ignore this or keep it for later. Peter P. specifically AG
After/during the cross over. Im TH Peter Ps Bestfriend ive known him longer than Ned.
When MJ falls off the building TH Peter catches her. But AG peter catches me.
When that happens TH Peter P doesn't pay any mind to me falling and ONLY MJ, That puts a few negative feelings in my head, but ones that aren't selfish. So its more of " He didn't care that I was going to die" appose to " Wow hed pick his girl over me" type thing if you even understand what I mean.
That sets off a chain of events leading to me n AG Peter together or smt.
Whew it took me forever to get this out, and for that, you have my sincerest apologies. The ending is a bit rushed, but I didn't really want to wait any longer to post this, but I hope you enjoy!!
Also, sidenote, I have no clue about timeline and how many years isn't been since Endgame so the exact years are kept vague. And I hope no one minds, I talked about what I think it was like for the people who survived after Thanos' snap, maybe he was right--as terrible as that is. Hate to say it, but what do I know.

Part Two
---
Your friendship with Peter began when you were children. Peter was the nerdy kid who’d stay inside all of recess reading or tinkering with some toy. And you were the nice, friendly kid. Praised by your teachers and usually the go-to kid to make friends with kids like Peter.
You did it, of course. You'd sit with Peter as he went on about what comics he liked or TV shows. Who his favorite superhero was—real or fake. And you nodded along and tried to understand what he was talking about.
As time went on, your bond grew. You stayed friends for years. You were there for him every step of the way.
When he got bit by that spider, you were the first to know. You poked fun at him for his first costume, because that’s what friends did. You worried about him day in and day out when he went patrolling. And you bet your ass you gave him so much shit for disappearing to Germany when he fought half the Avengers.
Then Thanos happened. Peter left with nothing more than an “I have to help,” before jumping out of the bus. And that was the last time you had seen him. That had been the last time you’d seen any of your friends.
You were one of the select few that wasn't blipped. Lucky in some eyes, unlucky in others. You had mixed feelings about it, honestly. You didn't disappear, but…Peter did. Your best friend since kindergarten was gone. Hell, almost everyone you knew was gone. Peter, Ned, MJ. All gone.
But…you moved on. You had no choice but to move on with your life and adapt to the new situation, no matter how hard it was.
At your graduation, you cried. Half of your senior class was missing. Half of the world population was dead. And the people who were left had no choice but to continue on with life. The wheel of life kept turning. You adapted or you got left behind.
You wouldn’t be left behind. You’d live. For Peter. For Ned, for MJ.
You got into college and got a job to support yourself. Ironically, wages were better than ever now that half the population was gone. And everywhere was hiring, so finding and securing a job wasn’t difficult.
And you lived. You bought an actual home for decently cheap after a years hard work. You couldn’t stand to live on campus. Not when the blip was the only thing people talked about.
Four years later, the blip…was a thing of the past. People of course talked about it still, but not as much. Life was drastically improving. Poverty went down. Homelessness was all but over with. You hated to even think it, but the blip did bring good things for those left.
You got your college diploma and couldn’t stop thinking about how proud Peter would’ve been. You didn’t stop smiling that day, looking back on old photographs of the two of you wishing he was here, but understanding he was gone.
But then they came back.
By some…miracle or curse, every single person who disappeared reappeared. Horrifically, they appeared right where they had vanished from. Death was rampant that day.
You heard horror stories of how people had appeared back in building that had been taken down and perished. Of people who appeared on roads or highways. People on boats. It was a nightmare. You couldn’t stomach looking at the news that day.
The family—or should you say children—that had lived in your house before appeared in the living room and freaked out. You had the unfortunate pleasure of informing them five years had passed. That you were living there. Whispers of reassurances and heart wrenching confessions of, “I’m sorry, I don’t know where your parents are.”
That year had been the worst year of your entire life. The death rate skyrocketed along with homelessness. Wages dropped. People were going hungry again because there just wasn't enough food to go around.
But perhaps the worst thing that happened was Peter returning. As terrible as that sounded. Peter came back as a 16 year old boy while you were now 21. You had lived your life while his was on pause.
It didn’t feel fair. To either of you.
But humanity did what it did best. It adapted. You adapted to having Peter back. Even though you didn’t see him often. That was your fault, though. You’d grown apart from him in those five years. For him, nothing had changed.
On a good day, you could barely stomach looking at him. On a bad day, you wished everyone had stayed blipped. That Peter had stayed dead like you thought he’d been. Your grief had been invalidated. Those sleepless nights where you wished for the comforting arms of your closest friends felt pointless. And Peter couldn’t even begin to grasp what you were feeling.
So naturally, you grew apart. But then you realized you still missed him. So you grew close again. And all was calm. Things finally started to look like they were heading upwards once again.
But things could never really stay calm. Not in New York.
The multiverse opened, because of course it did, and villains were coming in looking for Spider-Man. And then two other Spider-Men had come into this universe to defeat said villains.
All of these events led to this singular moment. You were falling. But you felt like you were floating, traveling in slow motion through the air, your arms stretched out, seeking to grab something—anything—to save yourself.
Your mouth was open mid scream, barely audible over the roaring wind in your ears and the hammering of your heartbeat, blood rushing in your ears. You knew then that everyone was right. Your life did flash before your eyes when you were about to die.
With the realization that this was it. You were about to die after being thrown from the statue of liberty, everything came rushing back. You were falling fast through the air, the air punched out of your lungs. You turned your head.
You weren’t sure what possessed you to do so, but you did. And you saw Peter jump off the building. He was going for MJ.
In some sick sense, you thought it was karma. You ignored him for the better part of a year. Treated him coldly. And in your moment of need, he didn’t even notice you. He went after his girlfriend.
You squeezed your eyes shut with the realization that this was it. No one was coming to save you.
Finally. It was over. Your time in this nightmare of a universe was over.
But then, there were arms around you. Your falling slowed until you came to a standstill. You took short, fast breaths as you opened your eyes, staring at Peter…2? No—no, this was Peter 3 if you weren’t mistaken. He had amazing hair and was…gorgeous, to put it simply.
“Are you okay?” He asked. His eyes were glassy and the words came out thick. You distantly recalled him mentioning he lost someone. His MJ. You didn’t know the details but you just knew it happened in a similar scene to your current situation.
You slowly nodded. “Are you?” You returned, staring up into his eyes. You could've sworn you saw a tear roll down his cheek. You didn’t mention it.
Peter 3’s smile was watery as he delicately set you back on your feet. “Yeah,” he said, before clearing his throat. “Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked, placing his hands on your shoulders and looking you over.
“Yeah I’m…” Your voice trailed off as you caught sight of Peter—your Peter, behind him. Holding MJ in his arms. You let out a breath of relief. You were at least glad she was okay. Peter had saved her.
You expected him to look at you. To at least spare you a glance and make sure you weren't dead on the pavement. But no. He didn’t even notice you. He didn’t see you fall.
Somehow, that was worse than him intentionally going for MJ over you.
Peter 3 waved his hand in front of your face. “You don’t seem alright,” he stated with a frown. “You could be in shock, you should sit—”
“Yeah, I’m just…he doesn’t care,” you murmured. You didn’t want to sound…selfish or anything. You were fine but it was the principal of the matter. Your Peter had been too focused on MJ to even realize you had also fallen. Jesus, you could have died.
“Hey, that's not true,” Peter 3 said. “I’m sure he cares. It's just….adrenaline. He saw her fall first,” he tried to reassure and soothe. “Look—he’s seen you,” he pointed out.
You looked up to see Peter looking between you and Peter 3. He weakly smiled, holding a thumbs up. You weren’t convinced.
“...okay, I didn’t believe that either,” Peter 3 conceded. “But I’m sure he cares. Of course he does. You guys are best friend’s, right?” He squeezed your shoulder. “He cares.”
You were beginning to doubt that.
“He disappeared for five years. Life went on for me, we’re hardly even friends anymore,” you muttered. “It’s fine,” you dismissed.
---
Things only went downhill from there.
Your Peter tried to kill the Green Goblin. Peter 2 stopped him. Peter 3 was stabbed. The multiverse was broken and everyone who knew Peter Parker is Spider-Man was coming into this universe. You could see Strange casting a spell, but you were a little preoccupied.
You hurried over to Peter 3, who was still on the ground. You kneeled down at his side, “you okay, Spider?” You asked, trying for teasing, but the concern outweighed it.
Peter 3 grimaced as he nodded. “First time I’ve been stabbed, woohoo,” he half-heartedly cheered, attempting to push himself up into a sitting position. “And it’s Spider-Man.”
“Here, let me help you,” you said, putting his arm around your shoulder and helping him to his feet, bearing a lot of his weight. “How’ve you not been stabbed yet? My Peter’s been stabbed.”
“Your Peter?” He asked. “Thought you weren’t friends?”
“Peter 1,” you clarified. “He’s not mine, of course, but he’s—he’s from my universe. Besides, he’s still so young.”
“I got it,” Peter 3 nodded, inhaling sharply and holding his side. “So there’s a chance for a guy like me?” He asked wryly.
“A guy like you?” You asked, raising a brow.
“Y’know,” he grinned, gesturing to himself with his free hand. “Guy like me.” He shrugged, that goofy grin still on his face. You had to admit, it was cute. He was cute.
“We’re from different universes,” you said, wrapping an arm around his waist, mindful of his injury. “So, ‘fraid not.”
Peter 3’s grin didn’t falter. “Can I at least get a kiss goodbye?” He asked. “I think the wizard is ready to send us home,” he said, pointing up to where Doctor Strange was doing his thing. “I can promise I’m not as young as Peter 1.”
You looked at him, debating your choices. What's the worst that could happen? This was the only chance you would get since he was going back to his universe. It’s not like your life could get any worse than it had been.
“Only because you're injured,” you lied, like you didn’t want to kiss him just for the hell of it. You turned to face him better, lifting your hand. Your fingertips traced up his cheeks before burying in the hair behind his ears. Running your fingers through it, just to sate the urge you had since you saw it. Then you leaned in and captured his lips in a kiss.
The smile fell off his lips as he kissed you back.
After a moment, he pulled away, pressing his forehead to yours, a dopey smile spreading across his lips. “I think I’m all healed now,” he said with a laugh, pulling away completely, turning to Peter 2, who was staring up at the sky that was fixing itself.
“...I think this is goodbye,” Peter 3 said. The hand that hung off your shoulder raised into a peace sign, which Peter 2 returned just before he faded away.
“Goodbye,” you murmured, kissing his cheek as he too, began to fade.
But instead of feeling his weight disappear like you expected, everything faded to black.
---
You woke up with a sharp inhale, groaning at the splitting sensation in your head. You squinted at the white ceiling as you struggled to recall what had happened. You drew a big blank and sat up slowly. You felt like you’d been hit by a truck.
You looked around the…bedroom you were in. It was messy, for starters. And you didn’t recognize it at all. Not the pictures, map, and sticky notes pinned to the corkboard or the Albert Einstein photo on one of the doors.
You turned as the window scraped open, staring in confusion as Spider-Man climbed in. But he froze when he saw you, ripping the mask off, eyes wide. “What are you doing here!?” He exclaimed, voice rising in both pitch and volume.
“What are you!” You exclaimed in equal surprise. “Where am I!? What’s going on?” You demanded.
Peter 3 stared at you with his mouth hanging open. He shut the wind and stumbled over his things until he stood in front of where you sat on his bed. “This is…my universe,” Peter said. “You’re in my bedroom. I—the spell returned me to this point in time. Right before Max died. But he didn’t. Max is fine. Gwen is fine, she’s on a plane to Oxford right now, and Harry—Harry got arrested, but he’s fine.”
You stared at him in disbelief. “I’m…” Your sentence hung in the air, unfinished as you stared at him harder. He looked younger. Which made sense, you supposed. He’d been returned to the past, right before Electro died. And somehow, he brought you with him.
You really hated the multiverse right about now.
“I don’t understand," you said. "I'm not from this universe, why would I—this makes absolutely no sense!" You laughed, gripping your hair as you leaned forward. "This is unbelievable."
"Hey—don't worry. Uh, we may not have wizards but I sure we can find some way to—" Peter stammered over his words.
You stood up, interrupted his nervous tirade, and kissed him. Because right now he was the only constant you had. The only familiar thing you had right now.
And maybe things would be alright. Maybe you'd go back to your own universe. Or maybe you'd stay in this one. Would that really be the end of the world?

Woflie Requested: IN THE SPIRIT OF HALLOWEEN AND BECAUSE IM ABOUT TO GO TO A HAUNTED HOUSE MYSELF
I need to see eddie and y/n getting the shit scared out of them in a haunted house -🐺 wolfie
Day 31!
A/n: Happy Halloween everyone! I hope everyone has a great day! I can't wait to hear about it!! Now, I still have some fics to get proofread and posted, so those will be coming out as well! Also, this haunted house is going to be based on one that my step-grandparents put on in our neighborhood. I went through it one year and it was pretty cool
The ahunted house was your idea. You were pretty much begging Eddie to get out and do something fun. He, however, insisted that staying in and just eating candy was good enough, but you wanted more.
Which is what lead you here. You were dragging Eddie behind you, pointing and shouting about, "Oh, look at the dead body!!" or "Wow this place is huge! It's gonna be awesome!"
Eddie, on the other hand, was just dying to go home. He knew this place was gonna suck and he was missing I Am Legend for this. His candy was left unattended on the couch.
You guys were ushered into the house, and right off the bat, you were thrown for a loop. A scary clown dragged you over to some contraption. It almost looked like a broken pinball machine. You took the hint and leaned over it, to see what the fuss was about.
At just the right moment, a puff of air was blown into your face and you stumbled back and into something. You jumped and turned around, fully expecting it to have been the clown for earlier, but instead if was just some axe murderer.
You chuckled a little at the effort they put into this scare, but it didn't really get you. Great try, though.
Eddie followed right behind you, "We just started and I'm already tired of it."
You zigzagged through the chain decorations, "Aw, c'mon, Eddie, it's gonna be fun!"
And the first real scare happened. Yet another person lunged out at you, and you were caught off guard, letting out a shriek as you tripped through the rest of the decorations. You waited for Eddie, watching as he tried not to laugh at you, "God, you should've seen your face."
"That was scary." you protested, "They actually scared me that time."
Eddie snickered and stepped in front of you, "Fine, you big baby. I'll go first and protect you."
He'd live to regret those words. Upon turning into the next doorway, and giant, menacing Spider came down, blocking the doorway. Eddie, being the big brave boy he is, let out a blood curdling scream as he grabbed you and threw you into it.
"Hey! Whose the baby now!" You looked back at him.
Repeating your words for earlier, Eddie straightened himself out, "That was just really scary."
"And you were calling me a baby." You replied, laughing as you crawled underneath the bug to get to the next room, "Whose the baby now?"
Humilated, Eddie followed you, "I hate bugs. I hate heights. I hate lots of things. What of it."
This room was dark, and you couldn't see where door was, "Yeah, yeah, keep playing the tough guy."
Knowing that you'd die first in a horror film, you held your hands out to feel for anything useful.
"Where'd you go?" He asked.
Your hands landed on something, "Ah, i think I found the door!"
Something quickly grabbed your hand, and you let out a shriek that somehow surpassed Eddie's in terms of fear. It was such a simple, and predictable scare, but it still did it's job effectively.
Manuveuring though the dark, Eddie thought he had found you, "You okay?"
"Where are you at?" You quickly moved away from whatever had grabbed you, " i can't see shit in here."
"I'm right next to you."
"No you're not."
"Who am I touching then?"
"I don't know, but it's not me."
You found a wall, and, using common sense, you figured that a switch should be near by. You began petting the wall and feeling every inch for any sign of a switch. You hadn't found any, however, you began to feel eyes on you.
"Stop staring at me. Just get over here." You said.
Eddie, who sounded like he was back to the other side of the room, "I'm not even sure where at."
That's when you felt something pet the top of your head, and then a cold hand touched your arm.
"Oh!" Eddie said, "I think I actually found the switch."
Was a switch, but a festive one. Once it was activated, red light flooded the room. Eddie looked at the switch, triumphant, "And you said you found-"
Eddie let out another scream as he turned around and got greeted with a ghoullish face. His shitty survival skills sent into into a corner, where he then proceeded to stay until you did the rest of the work.
You whipped open the door, "C'mon, crybaby!"
Eddie booked it and found himself standing behind you in no time.
The rest of the haunted house was like that. You and Eddie took turns screaming, or sometimes you screamed together and gripped onto each other like you were going to die. Although, to make it worse, the exit was a long hallway. Dimly light, with a door here ro there.
"You go first." Eddie said.
"No way, what happened to you protecting me."
"That was before I nearly pissed my pants," He replied, defensively.
"Go, go, go." You were pushing him through the doorway.
You clung to his jacket, head constantly turning to check every last opening. That's when you noticed that there was nobody here. This was all a joke.
"I think we're safe."
Much like Eddie, you'd regret those words as 12 different monsters jumped out. You practically had a heart attack as your soul left. Eddie, however, wasn't too fortunate. He had literally got the daylights scared out of him and he crumpled up on teh floor, just a few feet away from the exit.
"Eddie?" You asked, quickly kneeling down and rolling him over.
The lights in the hallway dimmed, which probably mean tthat they were resetting it for the next victims.
"You okay?" You asked tapped his face.
He was responding to anything you said.
"Eddie, this isn't funny."
You were going to cry if he didn't get up.
Eddie jolted up right, grabbing your arms, and you jumped. He laughed at you, "You should see your face."
"I thought you were hurt." You said, "That wasn't funny."
"It was so funny."
Eddie continued to laugh as he stood up. You got up after him, still a tiny, microscopic bit peeved.
"You gotta admit that it was a little funny," He said, dusting himself off.
You followed him out the door, and it was like instant karma. Someone jumped out and scared him. You laughed as Eddie continously screamed and pleaded for his life. Poor man nearly tripped down the stairs.
You pointed and laughed some more.
"It's not that funny." Eddie said.
"You look like you've seen a ghost! Look at you!"
Okay, it was a little funny--
"We had fun, can we go home now?"
"There's another one just a few blocks away. I heard they have this spot where they dump fake blood on you-"
"We're no-"
"You also get a bucket of candy if you make it through."
"A few blocks?"

i love your stories so much! 😊 nobody else really writes mha x reader ticklefics :<
i was wondering if you'd be willing to write one with dabi? 👉👈
no particular scenario :3
This is the best thing because I’m such a Dabi simp😭 I feel like I write ab Bakugou the most but I’m literally in love with Dabi so yes absolutely here ya go lol (there a little bit of angst)
You turned off the light in the bathroom, griping your towel around you and shuffling into your bedroom. Your eyes flickered over to the clock and the later it got the more worried you became, after picking up your phone and seeing no text or anything from Dabi your mind started to race. Every day at 1:30 am, he would sneak into your house for the night. If he was late he’d usually text you or something, it’s now 9 am. Nothing. Because he is a villain and he knows how dangerous it is, he hates when you worry about him so he would never just forget to tell you that he’d be late. You slipped into some shorts and an oversized t-shirt, not bothering with anything else since you had nothing to do today.
“Where the fuck are you?” You mumbled plopping down on your bed clutching your phone in your hand, a loud thump coming from somewhere in your house made your head whip in the direction of your closed bedroom door. Immediately your mind raced to all the worst explanations as to what it could be, none of those explanations made you eager to investigate though.
“Nope. I refuse” you mumbled finally, that’s how people die in- thump
“No. Nope, no ma’am” You panicked quietly as you scrambled around your room to find the baseball bat Dabi insisted you keep, behind you the bedroom door ripped open and you screamed in surprise wasting no time whipping the bat as you turned around
“What the fuck-damn y/n it’s me!” Dabi ducked, quickly jumping forward to grab you in his arms
“Hey! Will you open your eyes?!” You paused finally looking up into his intense blue eyes, you breathed out a sigh of relief letting your arms drop “Damn. At least I know you won’t go down without a fight” he mumbled chuckling a little
“Oh, Dabi-Dabi” You repeated his name again, your sigh of relief turning into a glare. He quirked up an eyebrow a slightly worried expression flashed across his features for a second
“Yeah? You’re fine now can I have the bat-no? Okay-“ you stepped back out of his reach in full on glare mode now
“Where the hell were you??” He crossed his arms sighing
“What do you mean?” He said, and your mouth dropped open only slightly.
“You didn’t call or text or anything, I’ve been here worried somebody took you out or something like that. I don’t care if you decided you didn’t want to come over at least let me know you’re alive Dabi” he scoffed a little raising an eyebrow
“So you want me to check in? Like you’re my mom? You’re not, so I don’t have to. And you really think someone could take me out. Use your fucking head next time maybe?” he leaned down for a kiss, his face inching toward yours
“Fuck off, don’t talk to me like that you ass” You palmed his face pushing it away and he let out a muffled noise of surprise that if you weren’t so annoyed with him, would’ve made you laugh. You dropped the bat in its place beside the bed and padded around him with crossed arms, of course he followed you hot on your heels
“So no good morning kiss?” He asked following you into the living room. He sat on the couch and You scooted away from him, crossing your arms.
“You’re really going to treat me like this?”
“Treat you like what-“ you whipped around to face him, pausing when you saw the shit eating smirk on his face. He’d made you talk, you internally face palmed for not even lasting 5 minutes. You groaned getting to your feet and storming into the kitchen, again he followed much to your dismay
“You can’t ignore me for much longer, baby” he said lowly. You ignored him pulling down a glass to get some water, making him frown at you back. Dabi pressed his chest again your back, putting his hands on the counter in front of you to trap you. “You look really good in my shirt right now, y/n” the way your name rolled off his tongue so close to your ear made your face hot, and you quickly lifted to glass to drink so he wouldn’t see your flustered expression. Dabi smirked knowing your were trying your hardest to ignore him and slowly failing
“You know you never last long when you give me the silent treatment baby, just give it up and talk to me.”
He teased moving from kissing your cheek to your neck, making you instantly scrunch up your shoulders like he thought you would. He moved to wrap one of his arms around your waist keeping you from running
“Huh? Did you just giggle, y/n? What’s funny?” He nuzzled your neck and you squeaked nearly dropping your water
“Mohohove” You sneered pulling at his hair, he laughed at your weak attempts to get him off you
“Harder, y/n” he mumbled and you let his hair go completely flustered and not able to hide it now
“Gohoho away-AHHAH!” Dabi blew a loud raspberry in the side of your neck and you couldn’t hold back the laughs that escaped you, struggling harder and soon escaping his grip to run away
“Dabi stop! I’m trying to be mad at you right now leave me alone!” You shouted over your shoulder, slipping over the back of the couch to put distance between you two
“All you have to do is accept my apology and I’ll leave you alone, kitten” he said smugly slowly trying to inch toward you without you noticing
“First off, no you won’t you’re lying and second you didn’t even apologize” you squinted at him
“Fine. I’m sorry” he said rolling his eyes
“Whatever” you dismissed, waving your hand at him. He raised his eyebrows, giving you a warning look
“Oh yeah?” You screamed as he rounded the couch so quick you didn’t have time to run and was instantly thrown over his shoulder
“Should’ve just accepted my apology, now I have to take drastic measures” the playfulness in his raspy voice quickly eased the tension between you two, of course you accepted his apology but you couldn’t tell him that you forgave him that easy!
“Dabi Im not kidding, leave me alone!” You tried to sound serious, but failed miserably when he dropped you on your back on the bed
“You’re not kidding, huh?”
“No! I’m seriouHAHAHAHS STAHP!” Your hands shot down to try to grab his wrists, but his hands jumped from your hips to your thighs too quick for you to catch
“Mm I don’t know babe you don’t seem so serious-“
“FUHUHCK OHOOFF!” You screamed clamping your arms to your sides when he dug his hands into your under arms, he smirked down at you
“We wouldn’t be here if you would just accept my apology-“
“OKAY OKAY I ACCEPT IT!” Dabi pulled his hands away, laughing and trapping you underneath him. He grabbed the front of the shirt you were wearing pulling it to turn you on your back so he could kiss you, you kissed back realizing that you missed not having him home with you last night. He pulled away rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly
“Seriously though, I guess I am sorry for talking to you that way. I had a long night and the only time I’m able to sleep is when I’m laying next to you so-I was just tired and irritated”
“It’s okay I forgive you. Also, can’t believe you’re actually apologizing to me this adorable” he rolled his eyes plopping beside you on the bed
“Shut up”

Let me help you // Draco Malfoy
Request: heyy, I wanted to make a request bc I love your writting sm!!! I was wondering if u would like to do an imagine where the reader is on the Gryffindor quidditch team and after a match she is tired and Draco helps her shower or sth like that? maybe smut if you feel like? idk u are the writer and if u can could u include prompts 33 and 98? omg im sorry if this is too long honestly just do whatever feels confortable to u i just had that idea, thanks keep up the good work.
A/N: I started writing this soon after I received this request because omg the amount of smut I’ve been writing has been k i l l i n g me and I knew I could turn this into something super fluffy, so I did. It may not be my best, my wrist has been hurting a lot and my fingers do be swollen. But I hope you enjoy!
Summary: After an intense quidditch game, Y/N is really sore and Draco helps her wash up.
Warning(s): None... it’s super super fluffy :)
Word Count: 3.1k
Prompts: 33 & 98
Y/N stumbled into the quidditch changing room and sat onto the nearest bench. She was utterly exhausted from the match. Her team, Gryffindor, had versed Ravenclaw, and even though they had won, it was not an easy fight. Y/N was a beater; thus, she often threw herself in front of the bludgers to wack them with her bat. In this particular game, they had been tied with Ravenclaw at 70 - 70.
{During the game}
Y/N was scanning the field for bludgers when she noticed Harry had spotted the snitch and was chasing after it. Her heart leaped with joy until she saw it, a bludger heading straight for him. She zoomed towards him without hesitating and raised her bat to hit it away, but then the worst happened. Y/N dropped her bat. The Ravenclaw seeker was hot on Harry’s tail, and if Y/N let the bludger hit him, she knew they’d lose the match, and it would be her fault. So, she grasped her broom and slowly placed her right foot on the wooden handle. Once it was stable, she let go of her broom entirely and lifted her left foot onto the broom. She was now riding it as if it were a surfboard.
Her eyes narrowed in on the bludger. Just as it was moments away from crashing into Harry, Y/N leaped off her Comet 180 and landed on top of the hurling ball. She gripped the bludger tight and gritted her teeth as she was thrown around in the air. It was getting harder and harder to hold on, but then Y/N heard the cheers from the crowd; Harry had successfully caught the golden snitch. Gryffindor had won. She quickly looked around and found that the bludger was driving her towards the stands. Faced with only two options, Y/N held her breath and let go of the bludger. Screams and gasps erupted from the crowd as she fell. But no spell saved her, and she hit the ground with a thud. Her legs seemed to have taken the brunt of the fall, and her back was definitely affected, but luckily, the bludger had lowered her close to the earth, and when she fell, she only dropped about eight or nine feet. Still, her team promptly rushed over to her with worry in their eyes.
And now she was sitting on an old wooden bench, trying to gather the strength to lift her arms and begin pulling off her boots. Her teammates were already long gone since Madam Hooch had held Y/N back after the game to assess her. By the time the silver-haired woman had determined she was alright, her friends had already headed to the showers. Y/N sighed softly, slowly bent over, and began untying her boots. All while doing her best to ignore the pain. The knot was loose when she heard loud footsteps drawing near. Y/N quickly snatched her wand from her locker, just to be safe, and turned towards the tent entrance. A few moments later, Draco, her boyfriend, came bursting inside. He was terribly out of breath and stopped to put his hands on his knees and regain steady breathing. As his chest heaved, he picked his head up to scan the room, spotting Y/N instantly. A look of relief washed over his face when he saw her, and he straightened his back. “Thank Merlin, you’re still here,” he mumbled while taking long strides towards her.
“I’m fine, Draco, seriously. You didn’t have to run all the way back here,” she scolded her boyfriend gently, trying to convince him and herself that she was perfectly fine. But the Slytherin paid her no mind. Instead, he kissed her head, knelt down in front of her, and began untying her quidditch shoes. “I can do it myself!” she insisted. Draco raised an eyebrow. “Is that so? Alright then, do it,” he retorted while rising from the floor. Y/N gulped. She hadn’t expected Draco to believe her. But, she wasn’t one to admit weakness so easily. She took a deep breath and once again bent herself over and took her thick laces into her hands. Pain spread through her back, but Y/N was determined to prove Draco wrong. She started to untie and watched as the opening of her boot grew wider. Soon enough, she finished and tilted her head upwards to smirk at Draco. But he didn’t seem bothered.
“Go on then, take it off,” he prompted. Y/N stifled her frown and redirected her attention to her boot. She first tried to lift her leg up to place her calve atop her opposite knee, but once she engaged her thigh muscles, pain washed over her, and she quickly relaxed her leg.
Next, she attempted to straighten out her leg and push the boot off, rather than pull. She gritted her teeth and slowly raised her foot off the floor, holding it in midair for about two seconds before her leg began to shake, and she dropped it back down. Draco huffed angrily and knelt once again. “Must you push your limits every single game, Y/N? You can’t even hold your foot an inch off the ground!” he reprimanded as he slid off her boot. “Oh, piss off, if I hadn’t made that jump, we would’ve lost the game, and you know it,” she snapped. Despite his obvious anger, Draco delicately slid Y/N’s other shoe off her foot and started unbuckling her knee pads.
“Y/N, you got extremely lucky. If you had missed your jump, you probably would’ve died,” Draco reminded her with a scowl on his face. “You got lucky, Y/N. You probably would’ve died, Y/N,” the Gryffindor repeated in a mocking tone. Draco threw her knee pad to the floor and rose to his feet. “You’d better fix that attitude,” he spat while glaring at his girlfriend. “Don’t you understand? I almost had to watch you fall to your death. If you had simply lost your footing or couldn’t get a grip on the bludger, I would’ve had to watch you die.”
Suddenly, Y/N truly realized the risk she had taken. Draco was right; she could’ve really hurt herself when she decided to take that leap. She looked up at Draco and saw he was still quite angry. But behind the fury, Y/N could see the hurt in his eyes. A sigh escaped her, and she rubbed her hands down her face. “I’m sorry, Dray, you’re right. But I had to do something, if I didn’t then, we would've lost, and it would’ve been my fault. And what if Harry had gotten hurt? You know how people are; they’d be so angry with me for failing to protect precious Potter. I’ve already fucked up in the past, and I couldn’t—”
“Shh, shh. It’s alright darling, I know,” Draco hushed her as he sat beside Y/N and took her into his arms. “Look, I’m sorry for getting mad at you. You did something brave out on that pitch, and all I’ve done is berate you when I should’ve been congratulating you. But you’ve got to understand that you scared me, Y/N. You put your life in danger just to win a game.” Y/N turned to look at Draco, her eyebrows raised. “Technically, I always put myself in danger. It is quidditch, you know,” she said pointedly. Draco rolled his eyes and kissed her head. “You know what I mean,” he muttered. Silence fell over them for a few minutes as they leaned against one another.
“Come on, love. Let’s get you to the showers,” Draco said while rising to his feet. Y/N took his outstretched hand and winced as he pulled up. She gathered her belongings and walked with Draco around the corner to the bathroom. Y/N walked through the door, not expecting her boyfriend to follow her inside. “What’re you doing?” she asked accusingly. “Following you to the showers,” he answered plainly. Y/N paused. “But why?” she questioned since his reply hadn’t given her any new information. “So I can help you,” he told her. Y/N scoffed and shook her head at him. “I don’t need help showering, Draco,” she stubbornly stated.
“I think you do,” he replied.
“I do not.”
“Yes, you do.”
“No, I don’t.”
“Y/N…”
“I don’t need help,” she hissed.
Draco sighed. “Just let me help you, darling. Please?” he pleaded with her. Y/N glared at him. “No,” she spat. “Don’t you have homework to do? I thought you mentioned having that Transfiguration essay to write,” she said as she gripped the edge of her jersey. “You’re more important,” Draco told her firmly. Y/N blushed and began to pull her shirt off, but she stopped once it reached her head. Her sore back screamed in pain; she couldn’t raise her arms any further. Instead, she resorted to wiggling and flailing about, hoping it would somehow slide her shirt off. Her arms began to ache, and she was about to give up, but luckily, an external force named Draco gently pulled it off.
Her boyfriend chuckled at her with a smug look on his face. “Now may I help you?” he asked, eyebrow cocked. Y/N grumbled to herself but placed her hands on Draco’s shoulders. He pressed a quick kiss to her head and stuck his thumbs through her belt loops. Slowly, he pulled her pants down and knelt on the floor to help her step out of them. Then, he did the same for her underwear. Y/N was able to get her bra off by herself since it didn’t require raising her arms. And once she did, she realized she was stark naked. A blush heated her cheeks, and she quickly covered herself, feeling self-conscious.
Draco laughed and shook his head at her. “Darling, I’ve seen you naked before. Why so shy?” he asked. Y/N nibbled on her lip and hesitantly lowered her hands. “It’s just... different like this,” she said quietly as she tried to push away her embarrassment. Y/N wasn’t naked to have sex with Draco; she was naked, so he could help bathe her. And somehow, that was more intimate than sex.
Y/N and turned towards the stall, ready to walk into it, but then she second-guessed herself. She glanced at the shower then back to Draco, not sure if she should wait for him. It seemed as though her lover had sensed her hesitation. “Start the water; I’m right behind you,” he assured her. So Y/N turned the knob and quickly stepped out of the way to avoid getting blasted with cold water. Her eyes returned to Draco as she waited for the shower to heat up. She looked him up and down as he yanked off his shirt and hung it up on top of hers. His now exposed pale chest and torso looked tempting, but Y/N kept her hands at her sides. She stuck her hand out to check the water temperature. It was warm enough, so she stepped under it, letting her eyes flutter shut.
Draco soon finished undressing and moved into the stall, pulling the curtain closed behind them. Y/N was wetting her hair when she felt a sharp pinch on her stomach. “Hey!” she yelped, opening her eyes to see Draco smirking at her. He quickly pressed a kiss to her forehead and rubbed where he pinched. “I saw you staring. You’re not very sneaky, are you, love?” he teased. Y/N swatted his shoulder and turned around to face the water spouting from the showerhead. On instinct, she reached up to rustle her hair but was soon halted by the return of searing pain in her back. Draco noticed this and gently put his hands on her shoulders, rubbing softly. “Just relax darling, I’ll do everything for you,” he said sweetly. Y/N huffed, still holding onto her pride. But then Draco’s hands landed on her head and began massaging shampoo into her hair, and an involuntary sigh of pleasure escaped her. She couldn’t remember the last time someone washed her hair for her; it felt incredible.
After Draco shampooed her hair, he switched places with Y/N. His back was now facing the water. He rinsed her hair until all the soap was down the drain. “You doing okay, love?” he asked, checking in on his girlfriend. Y/N nodded, too relaxed to speak. He switched places with her again and gathered some conditioner in his hands. “Y/N,” he called. She hummed in reply. “I think you should see Madam Pomfrey,” he told her quietly. A soft whine fell from Y/B's lips. “I know you’re only sore, but she probably has something to ease the pain.”
Y/N adamantly shook her head. “I’m fine, Draco. I don’t need to see her,” she argued. Her boyfriend sighed as he worked the product into her hair. “You’re probably right,” he muttered sadly. Y/N instantly filled with regret upon hearing the defeated tone in his voice. She really didn’t want to make a stop at the Hospital Wing, but she knew it would put Draco at ease. Reluctantly, she sighed and said, “We can stop by before bed.” A soft kiss was then planted on her back. “Thank you, darling.”
As Y/N waited for the conditioner to seep in, she turned around to face Draco, making sure her hair wasn’t under the stream. She kissed him sweetly and pulled him into a gentle hug. The Slytherin wrapped his arms around her and slowly began rubbing her tender back. Y/N groaned and let her head fall onto his chest. “My poor girl,” Draco muttered. “How bad does it hurt, love?” he asked. Y/N closed her eyes and pressed herself closer to him. “When I lift my arms, it feels as though it’s been lit on fire,” she confessed. Draco hissed and dug his thumbs into her back, trying to give her a deeper massage. “Same for your legs then?” Y/N nodded. “I think I really strained them when I took that jump.” Her boyfriend sighed and gently pushed her back under the water.
Y/N once again instinctively reached for her head and felt pain wash over her. She felt tears of frustration well up in her eyes, and she let out a soft cry. “I know, darling, I know,” Draco consoled. “It’s been a long day, let’s rinse your hair, wash you up, and we can go. Alright?” he asked. Y/N nodded as her tears began to fall. Her lover pressed yet another kiss to her temple and grabbed a nearby rag, squirting soap onto it. He squeezed out the excess water and gingerly pressed it against her skin, where he began rubbing. He first cleaned her arms, then began scrubbing her chest. When he reached her breasts, he very carefully dragged the cloth over them, making sure they got enough soap.
Y/N wiped her tears as Draco continued to clean her body. She looked down at him as he rubbed her legs. Suddenly, she noticed the fact she hadn’t shaved and was covered in hair. She was immensely uncomfortable with her boyfriend seeing this, so she attempted to pull her leg away from him. Draco promptly looked up at her. “What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?” he questioned, a worried expression on his face. Y/N shook her head but said nothing. “Then why’d you pull away?” She averted her eyes and breathed in deeply before saying, “I didn’t shave.”
Draco’s eyebrows furrowed together, and he looked back at her legs. “Y/N, do you actually think I care that you’ve got hair on your legs? That’s perfectly normal, darling,” he told her as he pushed himself up from the floor. His eyes found hers, and Y/N felt her stomach churn. “I would never shame you or love you less simply because you have body hair. I don’t care if other people, or even you, think it's unbecoming. It’s a part of you, and I love all of you. Understand?” he asked, his tone firm. Y/N nodded, and Draco kissed her nose, making her giggle. “Good. Now, let’s get you all rinsed off, and we can head out of here, yeah?”
Y/N stepped fully underneath the water and let all the soap on her body wash away. Draco reached for her shoulders and turned her around so he could squeeze out her hair. He did this a few times before deeming it free of conditioner. Y/N then turned off the water and soon found herself wrapped in a big fluffy towel. “Oh!” she yelped in surprise as Draco twirled her around to face him. He smirked and began to rub her arms up and down in an attempt to get her body warm.
“Stay there,” he instructed her. “I’m going to find some extra towels,” he said. Y/N nodded and watched as her lover ran butt naked to the other side of the bathroom. She giggled and giggled until he returned to their stall and hastily threw a smaller towel onto her head. “Shut up,” he muttered. Y/N stifled her laughs as she pulled the towel off her face. Draco shook his head at her and tied his own towel around his waist. “Give me that,” he said, gesturing to the cloth in her hands. Y/N handed it to him. He placed it on her head and aggressively rubbed it against her. “What’re you doing?” she yelled from underneath the towel. “Drying your hair,” he replied. “That’s not how you do it, you git,” Y/N laughed.
“Well, this is how my mum used to do it when I was little,” Draco argued as his girlfriend continued to giggle. Soon, however, he removed the towel to find a messy-haired Y/N. “Cutie,” he whispered. “No, you,” Y/N retorted. Draco narrowed his eyes. “No, you’re definitely the cutie here.”
“I beg to differ, I am not.”
“Are too.”
“Are not.”
“Are too.”
“Draco!” Y/N whined. Her lover chuckled and quickly pulled her into his arms, squeezing her tight. “You’re the cutest, sweetest, most adorable person ever. Alright?” Draco asked. Y/N sighed and nodded her head. “Fine, I’m the cutest,” she agreed. Draco smirked and planted a kiss on her lips. “That you are my love. That you are.” A momentary silence fell over the pair as they held each other close. But then Y/N lifted her head and gazed into Draco’s grey eyes. He stared right back with unwavering adoration. “Thank you for helping me; I’m sorry for giving you a hard time,” she apologized. Her boyfriend smiled softly. “That’s alright. I’ll always give you help, even if you don’t think you need it,” he replied. Y/N nestled her head against his still wet chest and sighed happily. “I love you,” she whispered. Draco hummed and began swaying her left and right. “I love you too.”

chapter one: jeno and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad week
Jeno despised Tuesdays. He was pretty sure that Tuesdays despised Jeno as well because all of his worst days just so happen to be Tuesdays. He was 96% sure that, if there was a god, his day off was on Tuesdays, or that the planets aligned in such a manner on Tuesdays that it caused universal despair and misery. If he was to take Donghyuck's word for it, his chakra attracted negative energy the most on Tuesdays.
When Jeno was 5, his goldfish Pippin had died on a Tuesday. When he had his ass handed to him on the playground by San Choi in the third grade, it was a Tuesday. And in the seventh grade, he'd failed his Spanish test, missed his bus and walked home in the rain only to find out that his Aunt Sunny was at work, he'd left his keys in his locker and that had to wait an hour before she got home to unlock it for him, all on a Tuesday.
And wouldn't you know it, here he was, late for the first day of senior year, which was, of all days, a godforsaken Tuesday.
In his eternal wisdom, he'd stayed up gaming with Renjun until two in the morning, and because of it, slept through his three alarms, one set at six-thirty, the other at 6:45, the last one at 7:00.
He'd woken up at 7:17, to the sound of his elderly neighbor's pet chihuahua barking at a pigeon, checked the time, immediately panicked, sped into the shower, gotten dressed in a haste, grabbed a few granola bars from the pantry, and ran out the door while trying to jam his backpack closed, and managed to catch the train at 7:40, which took about twenty minutes to get to his stop, plus a ten-minute walk to school, and class started at 8:10. Not to mention he’d have to stop by the office and pick up his schedule. At best, he’d be five minutes late to his first class. But tardies were tardies, regardless, and the last thing he needed was to lose his perfect attendance streak.
He fished out his phone while standing on the train, waiting for his stop, scrolling through Instagram, and liking random pictures. A ping! from his phone caught his attention, then two, then a third. He smiled softly when your name popped up on his screen.

y/n: FIRST OF ALL permanent records dont even exist !!!!!! its propaganda duh
y/n: also ur literally never late
y/n: im sure o n e tardy wont do anything chill
y/n: dont be stupid youll be fine
Don’t be stupid. Too little, too late, he thought, already having got off the train at a previous stop. Now, he was looking for an unoccupied street or alleyway, which, for once, was easy, taking a deep breath before he did the exact opposite of what you’d told him not to do. Don’t be stupid.
The buildings are low, he thought to himself, it’ll be easier to see me.
Don’t be stupid.
Too late!
Thwip!
Jeno didn’t hesitate to use the web fluid to pull himself up onto the wall, climbing in a haste, before running and jumping onto the next building. He quickly built up a quick pace, using the web fluid occasionally to swing onto a building slightly out of jumping range.
Signs in English, Chinese, Korean, and Spanish flew past him as he seemingly flew over the Queens traffic, leaving Flushing behind and crossing quickly into College Point quicker than he would if he took the train. He glanced to his left and caught a view of the bay, and far across it, the LaGuardia airport watchtower.
Jeno had lived in New York City his entire life. He knew Queens like the back of his hand, knew every dingy alleyway, every sketchy street, which restaurants to avoid if you didn’t want to get food poisoning, which convenience store aunties were the nicest and didn’t pinch his cheeks too hard. It was his home, and most likely would be for the rest of his life.
But seeing it like this, flying past him below as he glided with ease from building to building would never cease to be a sight to him. It was like watching from the perspective of an outsider, seeing people in their cars, walking along the street gave him a brand new perspective. A Jeno’s eye view, he called it, since he was pretty sure he was the only one in New York City.
Another noise from his phone brought him back to reality. He shook his head, stopping briefly to catch his breath and fish out his phone briefly.
[7:57 AM]
y/n: let me know when u get here !!!
No time to respond, he put away the phone and continued his trek to school. He had less than ten minutes to get there. But he knew he was already at least five minutes away, much quicker than he would be if he had decided to stick to the train. He smiled a bit to himself, feeling ever so slightly smug.
The hustle and bustle of the city definitely proved challenging to find a place to land without many eyes, but he figured it out eventually, landing behind a dumpster in an alleyway behind a restaurant that he knew was about three or four blocks from the school. He figured it would be a lot better to take it on foot from here. The notebooks he was carrying in his backpack bounced up and down with every step he took.
After what seemed like forever, the gates to the school appeared in his view, and Jeno felt a joy in his heaving chest, something he would have never thought would happen upon seeing the absolute hellhole that was Samuel Morse High School.
[8:06 AM]
jeno: just did >:D
Picking up his schedule was both quick and insanely long. He couldn’t stop himself from tapping his left foot while the secretary found his schedule and handed it to him. “Kibum, please hurry,” He muttered, and Kibum raised an eyebrow at him, but his gaze was teasing. “That’s Mr. Kim to you, in school at least.”
He handed Jeno his schedule a few seconds later. “Tell your Aunt to come pick up her casserole dish, by the way. She left it at my house after my last viewing party.”
“The Bachelor?”
“Please. We’re too classy for that. Drag Race.”
“Ah. I see.”
“Jeno,” Kibum said, staring up at him from his desk, his gaze now much more serious, “Get to class. Happy first day of senior year.”
“Thanks, Mr. Kim.”
He managed to make it to chemistry class at 8:09 with seconds to spare. His eyes quickly scanned the room upon entering, hoping his friends were in the class with him. He caught a few familiar faces, most of which, like San Choi's, he wished to avoid. No one paid him any mind. Everyone was still speaking to the people next to them, no doubt exchanging stories of summer vacation.
A hand shot up towards the back, waving at him. A smile stretched across his face as he registered your face, feet not hesitating to carry him towards the empty seat next to you. His heart skipped a beat at seeing your smile, and he tried his best to ignore it.
“Hey,” You greeted, “That was fast. I thought you said you were gonna be late.”
Jeno shrugged, eyes landing on the dark shade of the lab table. “The train was a lot faster than I expected, apparently.”
You wrinkled your nose. “Why do you smell so bad?”
“I, uh… ran a little.”
You grimaced, and Jeno tried to casually sniff at his slightly sweaty clothes. It’s not that bad. “I still don’t understand why you won’t let me drive you to school. You’re literally next door.”
“I don’t know,” He answered, rolling his eyes, “Maybe it’s because when it comes to that truck, you are absolutely insane. You won’t even let me drink water in that thing.”
The truck in question, a faded red 1998 Chevrolet S-10, had been your gift to yourself for your 17th birthday. You’d spent two summers saving up to buy yourself a truck, and that was what you were able to get for what you had. To say it was a huge piece of junk on wheels was an understatement.
The thing smelled like mothballs no matter how many air fresheners you bought it, the engine sounded like an old man having a coughing fit, and there was a very suspicious stain in the backseat that wouldn’t go away no matter how many times you scrubbed it. But for some reason, you treated it like it was your own baby. The amount of times you’d yelled at Jaemin for trying to put his feet on the dashboard was too high to count.
You mirrored his movement, eyes rolling as you sighed. “At least let me drive you home after school today. Maybe you can stay and we can finally watch Blade Runner.”
You’d been trying to get him to watch the film for almost a month now, begging and pleading because you insisted that he’d love it. He offered an awkward stare, before opening his backpack and pulling out a notebook. “Can’t,” He mumbled, “I’m headed into Manhattan. I have my internship afterwards.”
“Oh, yeah,” You said nonchalantly, eyebrows shooting up as you remembered, “Park Industries.”
He was about to reply when Mrs. Baker, the chemistry teacher, finally entered. She’d been working at SMHS for 30 years and had never, apparently, been nice, if his Aunt Sunny’s stories were anything to go by. However, she had apparently always spoken as if she smoked two packs a day. She was rambling about the importance of making the most of senior year academically, adult responsibilities, college, and whatnot. You and Jeno exchanged glances often throughout the monologue, hoping it would end soon.
“Enough of that,” She said after what seemed like an eternity, “Everyone quiet down, I’m going to call roll.”
Names were quickly called, and Jeno was ready to pull out a pencil and start working with you until Mrs Baker demanded a switch in seats, beginning to call on random names in an effort to deter everyone from speaking.
"Please not with Choi, please not with Choi," Jeno muttered under his breath, glancing warily at San, who was staring ahead, looking bored.
San had had it out for Jeno ever since day one, in first grade. For some reason, everything Jeno did seemed to annoy the other boy. He wasn't funny enough, or too nerdy, or too quiet. Jeno was always too much or too little for him.
You touched his forearm, and he looked towards you.
“You’ll be fine,” You said softly, trying not to alert the teacher, “You’re not gonna get paired up with him, and you can take it to the office if you need to.” “Yeah, because I’m sure Coach Peralta would be thrilled if someone tried to get his precious midfielder in trouble.”
“Choi, San,” Mrs Baker’s voice rang throughout the room, and Jeno braced himself for the worst, eyebrows furrowing with worry.
“You’ll be sitting with… L/N, Y/N.”
Jeno’s shoulders slumped, but your face remained impassive. You picked up your stuff, and pouted silently at Jeno in apology, before making your way to the front.
“Lee, Jeno,” Mrs Baker called a few minutes later, “You’ll be sitting with Jang, Yeeun.”
He breathed out a sigh of relief. Yeeun is nice, Jeno thought to himself, I could sit with Yeeun. She wasn’t part of his main friend group, but he had tutored her in math during sophomore year in exchange for her helping him with Spanish, and they’d been pretty friendly ever since.
“Hey,” Yeeun greeted as Jeno sat down, and Jeno smiled at her.
“Remember, these will be your assigned lab partners for the rest of the semester. No changes, no exceptions.” Mrs. Baker sat down at her desk, before beginning to talk about something Jeno didn’t really pay attention to.
You exchanged glances with Jeno, and he gave you a look of sympathy as you gestured at San with your eyes. San was talking to you about something—probably bragging about some soccer achievement—but you weren’t paying him much attention. Jeno swallowed something growing in his throat as he looked at how your hair looked today.
It was nothing relatively new, the same hairstyle you used on most days. But still, there was a bit of a shine to it. He wondered vaguely if you had changed your shampoo, the other day you’d been complaining about how itchy your normal shampoo made your scalp—
“You still haven’t told her about how you feel?” Yeeun asked quietly, and Jeno’s head snapped back to look at her, eyes wide.
“W-what? Me. Like Y/N…” He laughed nervously, trying to keep his voice down. He scratched the back of his head, avoiding Yeeun’s accusatory stare. “You’re hilarious, Yeeun. Tell another one.”
Yeeun shook her head. “You’d better hurry before someone else snatches her up, Jen. She’s not gonna wait around for you forever.”
“I don’t like her, Yeeun.”
“Keep telling yourself that.”
“Hey! Jeno Lee!”
“Hey! Jaemin Na! What do you want!” Jeno answered as he sat down, mimicking Jaemin’s tone next to him.
“Well, for starters, a million dollars, and second, a date with Yiren Wang, but I doubt you can help me with either of those, so...”
Jeno glanced at the rest of the table. Along with Jaemin, Mark, Renjun, Donghyuck, and you were watching the interaction between the pair. “Where are the munchkins?” Jeno asked, noticing Chenle and Jisung’s absence. No one could really call them munchkins anymore. That nickname dated back to middle school, before the two underclassmen had gone through growth spurts.
“Eh, they should be here soon,” Renjun said, chewing on a french fry, “How’s your day been?”
“Pretty good so far, I guess. I got AP Calc with Mr. Washington later, though. That man wants me dead.”
You rolled your eyes. “He doesn’t want you dead. I’m telling you, you and Hyuck have been spending way too much time together. You’re being more dramatic than usual and Hyuck’s being more… weird than usual.”
“And just what is so weird about being enthusiastic about senior year, Y/N?” Donghyuck asked, shaking his head, “It’s our last year in this hellhole, I’m excited that we’re finally getting out of here. And besides—”
“Please don’t bring up the fact that you’re abandoning us next year.” Chenle seemingly appeared out of nowhere, sitting next to Renjun, Jisung following quickly behind him.
“Hi, Sungie,” You said with a smile, and Jisung smiled back. “Hi, Y/N.”
“What were you saying, Hyuck?” Jaemin looked at Donghyuck, who had taken the quick interaction as an opportunity to take a bite of his sandwich. His wide eyes darted to the slim boy, cheeks stuffed with chicken.
“Oh,” He replied after swallowing, “This is gonna be my year. I’m getting male lead for the winter musical and no one is gonna stop me.”
“Do you even know what musical you guys are doing yet?” Mark asked, “What if it’s like… Shrek?”
Jisung made a face. “There’s a Shrek musical?”
Mark nodded, and Renjun laughed.
“I don’t know about male lead, if it’s Shrek. You should try out for Donkey,” The Chinese boy joked, “With those front teeth, you’re a shoo-in.”
The entire table was silent for a moment, before snorts and chortles started pouring out from everyone except Donghyuck.
“Fuck you, Huang.”
Renjun flashed the friendliest smile he could muster. “Not if you paid me a million dollars.”
The subject remained on extracurriculars, everyone in your group except for Chenle and Jisung now wary of college applications. Donghyuck had been in theater ever since middle school, Renjun was in the robotics club and the debate team with Jaemin, who was also in the student council. Mark was on the math team with Jeno, and you had founded the film club.
"You're not gonna believe who asked to sign up for film," You huffed, looking kind of confused. The rest of the table looked at you expectantly, and you pursed your lips, almost as if you were trying not to laugh.
"San Choi."
Renjun scoffed. Jaemin raised his eyebrows before letting out a single, humorless laugh. Jeno made a face, poking his plastic fork at you.
"What is San Choi doing asking to sign up for film?"
"Fuck if I know. He said he needed one more extracurricular if he wanted to get into some college in Florida and he liked going to the movies, so he wanted to try out film."
Mark rolled his eyes. "I swear there's nothing in that guy's head but hot gas. It blows my mind."
"He's a dick," Chenle grumbled, "I'm still not over how he and Wooyoung taped Jisung to the flagpole last year."
Jisung scowled. "I thought we agreed to never bring that up again."
“Do you think they’ll finally calm the fuck down this year?” Jaemin wondered, looking wistful.
You took a sip of your coke and shook your head. “Doubt it. They’re not the hateful eight for a reason.”
The mood at the table turned tense, until Jaemin frowned at his french fries, before sighing and clapping his hands together dramatically. “I would like to hear,” He mused, “About the nuance that theatre gives the cinematic masterpiece that is Shrek when converted into musical form.”
Donghyuck beamed. “Oh, it’s amazing. You see…”
If it was difficult to get Donghyuck to stop talking in general, it was impossible when it was about theater.
The conversation continued on until the bell rang, and the eight of you had to go your separate ways. Jaemin and Jeno had the same class, so they both walked together down a relatively calm hallway. Jaemin looked both ways, before finally lowering his voice.
“So, you’re going to see Mr. Park today?”
Jeno nodded, looking down at his shoes. “He said he wanted to give me an assignment. Says there’s something big going on.”
Jaemin’s eyes lit up with curiosity. “Did he say what kind of something?”
Jeno shook his head, pouting slightly. “I’ll let you know tomorrow.”
Once school was out, Jeno was getting ready to get onto the subway once again, this time heading towards Midtown. It was only day one and, as Jeno had predicted, Mr. Washington probably was out to get him, because he’d swamped the class with homework.
As he left the school, he spotted you in the parking lot, leaning against your car door, texting someone. He glanced at his phone. He still had plenty of time, he figured. He walked over to you, and when you looked up, you smiled.
“Hey!” Your voice had that signature tone of enthusiasm to it, and Jeno smiled back immediately.
“Hello,” He sing-songed. “So, I was thinking… are you free on Friday night?”
You looked somewhere above his head, furrowing your eyebrows before you perked up again and nodded. “Yep! Why?”
“I’m free after nine. Maybe then I could come over to your house? So I can finally get you to stop harassing me about Blade Runner.”
You grinned, pumping your fists enthusiastically. “Hell yes,” You answered, “Do you want me to get like, some frozen pizzas or something?”
“Pizza sounds good,” He said. “Who are you even waiting for?”
You made a face that made it seem as if you’d just gotten a whiff of rotten milk. “Well—”
Your response was interrupted when the school doors slammed open, and eight figures poured out, carrying themselves with confidence Jeno both envied and despised. He frowned, trying not to react at their loud whooping and laughing. The Hateful Eight.
“Oh.” Jeno averted his gaze, meeting your eyes again.
“Yeah. If you don’t hear from me later it’s because I jumped out of my truck because I don’t wanna work with—”
“Well, hello, gorgeous!” San’s voice filled the parking lot, and Jeno took a deep breath. Your mouth stretched into a tight-lipped smile at the unwanted ‘compliment’.
“Hey, San.” Your friendly passive aggressive tone almost made Jeno smile. “I’ve been waiting here for like, fifteen minutes. You could have just given me your number and asked me to send you pictures of my notes, you know.”
He shrugged, turning his body so that his back was turned to Jeno. “Sorry, babe. Coach wanted to talk to us about the upcoming season. When he gets going, it’s hard to get him to stop. And besides, where’s the fun in just asking for pictures when I could come here, talk to you, and take the pictures myself?”
You didn’t respond, but rather pulled out your backpack and began digging through it. When you pulled out your notebook, you handed it to San, who flashed a wink at you. You barely held back a gag.
“Thanks, Y/N. I’ll just be a minute.”
He walked over to the hood of your truck, and just as you were about to continue your conversation, two figures slung their arms around both of Jeno’s shoulders, causing him to flinch.
Out of the fifteen soccer players on the team, San and his best friends—seven of them, to be precise—were the worst. The others were pretty nice. But right now, seeing two of those seven surround your best friend made you uneasy.
Wooyoung was loud. He was also a temperamental brat. His dad owned three used car dealerships over in Brooklyn, so naturally, he thought he owned the entire world. He wasn’t someone who would get too physical in fights, like San, or Jongho, or Yeosang. But when he was angry, he could easily get you to jump into the stratosphere by yelling at you once. Over the years, he’d made several teaching assistants and substitute teachers cry, only getting let off with a slap on the wrist every time.
Yunho was terrifying for completely different reasons. He was friendly, but a little too friendly to the people he wanted to control. He could read people like books and could easily manipulate whoever he wanted. But he wasn’t afraid of getting physical either, especially not when he was built like a goddamn Power Rangers Megazord.
All in all, they definitely weren't anyone you wanted near you, near your friends. Especially considering how much they had it out for your friends.
"Hey, buddy," Yunho said, looking down at Jeno with a wide smile. "How was summer vacation?"
Jeno gnawed on the side of his cheek as he considered his answer. "Um, it was okay." He looked at you to catch your eyes darting between San, Yunho and Wooyoung, like you were analyzing the situation. "I kinda stayed in and played video games most of the t—"
"Cool, cool," Yunho answered, carding his free hand through his bleach blond hair. "What about you, Woo?"
"Oh, dude, it was so cool," He bragged, "I went to Brazil for like, a month. I went clubbing with Instagram models and shit, it was wild."
You stared at him as he patted Jeno on the back rather aggressively. "Where did you go? Have you ever even left New York?"
You knew the answer. Only a few times when the debate team went to compete in different states. Jeno spoke up again. "Well, yeah a few t—"
"Doubt it," Yunho scoffed. He craned his head back. "San, you done yet?"
"Almost!" San answered. Yunho turned to face you, and for some reason his smile seemed genuinely kind. “What about you, Y/N?”
You never understood why it was that the soccer team hated your entire friend group, but seemed to tolerate you. It made no sense.
So you shrugged. “Not a lot, I guess. Did my summer reading. Hung out with my friends.” You flashed a reassuring smile at Jeno. “Right, Jen?”
Immediately, he relaxed a little bit. “Yeah.”
San appeared from behind Yunho, Jeno and Wooyoung. “Thanks, Y/N. I owe you one.”
You waved your hand, wanting them to get rid of them quickly. “Don’t mention it. But next time, just text me for my notes. I have to get to work, so…”
“Oh! My bad,” He answered with fake remorse, before unlocking his phone and handing it over to you. “Here. For next time.”
You stifled a deep sigh, punching in the numbers hesitantly. “Just for homework, got it?”
San took his phone back, holding a hand over his heart and raised his head. “On a gentleman's honor,” He declared, and you bit back a laugh. Jeno looked like he was going to hurl.
“San!” The team captain—Hongjoong—called from a few feet away, “Are you guys done yet or what?”
“Coming!” San yelled back.
“Alright, we’ll let you go,” Wooyoung said, patting Jeno on the back again, a bit too harsh for comfort. “Bye, Y/N! See you around.”
The three of them stalked off, leaving you and a very frazzled Jeno. “Dicks,” You muttered once they were out of earshot. “You good?”
Jeno shook his head, waving his hand dismissively. “I’ll be fine.”
You tilted your head, frowning. “Jeno—”
“I gotta go,” He said quickly. “I’ll see you later?”
You nodded, offering a lopsided smile. “Yeah. Be careful!”
Jeno offered a deep bow, fluttering his eyelashes. “On a gentleman’s honor,” He sighed, adding a very bad British accent to it. You burst out laughing, eyes squeezing shut.
You didn’t catch the way Jeno’s shoulders relaxed at the sound.
I want you to know now
Baby, it could go down
I don’t wanna talk about it
Baby, let’s just go now
The train ride into Midtown didn’t take too long. He spent it digging through his backpack for his Park Industries lanyard, listening to music and thinking about you.
When you talk right to me
You gon’ have to do me
Every time you think you’re leaving
You running back to me
You’d met Jeno when you were six. Truth be told, he didn’t really remember. For him it was like you weren’t there at one point and by the time you were, you were thicker than thieves. It was a difficult time for him. He had just lost both of his parents, and was moving in with his Aunt Sunny and his Uncle Jinki, who were barely out of college at the time. He’d had to move to a new school and basically restart his entire life. You were the first sense of stability in his life for months.
Your mom lived next to his aunt and uncle. So naturally, you went to the same school and went on the same bus. And somewhere along the way, you two clicked. You’d introduced him to Renjun, Jaemin and Donghyuck. You were there to comfort him whenever he got pushed off the slide by San or Wooyoung.
He was there for you when your stepdad and stepbrother moved in when you were nine and you weren’t sure how to deal with it. He was there when your mom died when you were thirteen. He’d introduced you and your friends to Mark, Chenle and Jisung.
And you were there when his Uncle Jinki got killed when he was fifteen. And because fate had an especially cruel sense of irony, it had happened on a Tuesday. You didn’t know, but at the time, he had just gotten his powers. Your comfort and words unknowingly had a secondary effect: he made the decision to use them for good, and… well. The rest was history.
Can we just talk? Can we just talk?
Talk about where we're goin'
Before we get lost, lend me your thoughts
Can't get what we want without knowin'
Just like when he met you, he didn’t recall an exact moment where he realized he’d fallen in love with you. He knew there was a world where he loved you, but wasn’t in love with you. And he knew that there was a world here he’d fallen in love with you—he was living in that world now. He realized he was living in that world maybe when he was sixteen, and had been stuck in it ever since.
You were it for him. He’d had crushes before. But never something like this, where he was so aware of your presence around him. It wasn’t the way he was hyper aware of someone like San, or like Yunho or Jongho. It wasn’t out of anxiety or fear, where a shift in mood activated his fight or flight. He was aware of you in a way that only people who truly know each other do, where he could pick up on subtle changes in your behavior, but not out of fear. Rather, out of a desire to take care of you and to not have you worry about anything.
I've never felt like this before
I apologize if I'm movin' too far
Can we just talk? Can we just talk?
Figure out where we're goin'...
As the train rolled into the station that was a fifteen minute walk from Park Tower, Jeno put away his headphones and took a deep breath.
The “Jeno Tingle” as his Aunt Sunny called it—Jeno hated the term—had taken him a few years to gain control of. And while he could never truly turn it off, he could at least tune it out enough to be more at ease. The only time he did so was at school or when he was studying, just because he wanted to feel normal, and because being aware of everything going on around him really messed with his concentration.
Jaemin didn’t understand. “If I was able to tell whenever Seonghwa was behind me because he wanted to scare me into doing his chemistry homework, I’d never turn that shit off,” He’d said once. But truthfully, Jeno didn’t really care. Because while yes, he was still slightly scared of the “hateful eight”, he knew damn well that if things got to be too much, he could kick their asses if he wanted to.
It was his friends he worried about. He couldn’t be around them 24/7. You, not so much. He knew you knew how to fight. Even worse, he knew that San had the hots for you so you were off limits to the rest of them, be it bullying or flirting. But for everyone else… Well. He couldn’t hover over them like some guardian angel.
Now that the “Jeno Tingle” was on, it allowed him to sense everyone within a certain range around him. He could zero in on certain sounds with ease, and his reflexes became heightened. Halfway on his walk up Park Avenue, he jumped away from a chihuahua on its leash a second before it started barking at him.
When he entered the first floor lobby of the Park Building, he scoured the crowd of employees and visitors until he landed on one familiar face.
He'd met Doyoung about a year after his dad started dating your mom. Things between your parents were starting to get serious, and Doyoung was four years older than you were. When they moved into your house, Doyoung as your new stepbrother became the de facto chaperone and babysitter. If you wanted to go to the mall with Jeno, he had to take you. Every time you dragged Jeno to the movies, Doyoung had to go also.
To an extent, it wasn't that bad. Doyoung was cool, and he was smart—he was the one who got Jeno interested in computers and chemistry. He graduated high school at 16, and finished his bachelor's degree at 19. He'd also interned at Park Industries, and secured a job there almost immediately after college.
To an extent, he was the whole reason Mr. Park knew who he was, because of one incident. It was relatively soon after he started the whole vigilante thing. Jeno, still figuring out how to maneuver on the webs that shot out of his wrists, had accidentally crashed into your backyard late at night, when only Doyoung was awake. He was standing in the back door while he was waiting for his dog to finish peeing.
Initially, the older boy had freaked out, thinking that it was a burglar or something. When he yelled out that his dad was a cop and was asleep in the house, Jeno panicked, and pulled off his mask, holding up his hands.
“Woah, woahwoahwoah! Doyoung! It’s me, it’s me!”
Doyoung’s eyes had widened to the size of saucers, paying no mind to the dog as it sauntered up to Jeno, before turning onto its back in a request for belly rubs.
"You're the spider guy everyone's been talking about!?"
"Spider man," Jeno had answered, voice cracking as he dusted himself off. He cringed at the sound of his voice. "...and yes."
Of course, his cover was blown, and he'd begged Doyoung not to tell anyone, especially not you. And while Doyoung had promised not to tell you, it didn't stop him from telling his boss.
That had been almost three years ago now. The rest was history, and after that Jeno didn’t have to run around in bright red sweatpants and dollar store swimming goggles. Now, he had a nanotech suit that allowed him to activate protocols of the suit through voice commands using something top-secret Mr. Park called D.R.E.A.M technology. Direct Response Engaged As Machine—yeah, Jeno didn’t get it either.
Doyoung offered Jeno a smile as he escorted Jeno past security, showing them his employee clearance pass. "Hey. How have you been?"
Jeno shrugged, recounting his day in minor detail as he was led into an elevator labeled authorized personnel only.
This elevator only went up to the 35th floor, seeing as everything past that was only cleared for a certain list of people approved by Mr. Park and his security team, and everything past the 90th floor were Mr. Park's private living quarters.
Now, as Doyoung led him to another elevator to head up to the 85th floor, which was always where Jeno got to meet with Mr. Park—which wasn't often, maybe once or twice a year—he wondered where he would be if he hadn’t surprised Doyoung that night. He would probably still be using those ugly red sweatpants as part of his disguise.
"How's Y/N?" Doyoung asked.
"Oh, she seems okay. That guy who hates me keeps coming onto her though. He's a huge douchebag."
Doyoung frowned. "He's not harassing her, is he? Because if he is—"
"He just won't stop flirting, even though she clearly isn't interested," Jeno said bitterly, "He isn't physical or anything. Trust me, it wouldn't end well for him if he was."
Doyoung wasn't quite sure how to respond to the younger boy's dark tone. He looked down, clearing his throat awkwardly.
“So… how’s the apartment?” Jeno asked. Doyoung perked up instantly.
“Oh, now that Taeyong’s moved in and did his interior design thing, it looks great. He’s really done a great job at it.”
“When am I gonna meet this guy? He sounds cool.”
“He’s really cool,” Doyoung hummed, cheeks heating up. “Things are getting really serious.”
Jeno smiled at how flustered Doyoung, who was normally so level headed and calm, became at the mention of his boyfriend.
“You guys sound like a really good couple,” He said. Doyoung chuckled, waving his hand. “Oh, well—”
The elevator dinged, and Doyoung sighed. “I’ll tell you later. C’mon.”
The hallway it opened up to was lined with pictures of the company's history, starting from pictures of black and white of people in vintage clothing, to pictures in sepia tones to finally pictures of the current CEO at locations around the world: Chanyeol Park.
Jeno walked behind Doyoung as he led him down the hallway, before stopping in front of a door, and a friendly looking man in a suit.
Junmyeon was a part of Chanyeol’s Security and Intelligence team, and often sat in on these meetings with Jeno. The chain of contact also included him. If Jeno couldn’t contact Doyoung (which rarely happened), he’d contact Junmyeon. And if he couldn’t contact either of them, or it was an emergency, only then could he contact Chanyeol. So far, that had only happened once.
"Hey, Junmyeon," Doyoung said, "Mr. Park's 4:30 is here."
Junmyeon nodded, before smiling at Jeno and giving him a wave. "Hey, kid."
Jeno offered an awkward grin. "Hi, Mr. Kim."
Junmyeon rolled his eyes sarcastically. "Kid, you're making me feel ancient. I've told you a million times, just call me Junmyeon."
Jeno shuffled awkwardly, before nodding at the older man, watching as he pressed a button on his earpiece. "Hey, Yeol. Jeno's here."
The muffled response was barely heard, but Jeno automatically understood what Mr. Park said. Junmyeon turned to open the door, and let the pair inside. The “office”—if it could even be called that—opened up to more of a lounge, than anything. A wall of glass overlooked the Manhattan skyline, but Jeno knew that from the outside it looked only like a wall, due to camouflage technology developed by Mr. Park himself. As Doyoung and Junmyeon stayed back, closer to the door, Jeno took a few steps toward the man in question.
Chanyeol was standing a few feet in front of the glass window, working on a holographic model of a new piece of tech. His face was turned downward in a concentrated frown. He barely spared the teenager a glance as he said fondly, “Hey, kid.”
Jeno was used to this. Chanyeol wasn’t cold per se, but he wasn’t warm at all. He knew that Chanyeol cared about him, even if he didn’t really show it in a conventional way. Chanyeol was a very… eccentric man, so he had his own way of saying and doing things.
“Hi, Mr. Park. Um… you wanted to talk to me?”
“Yep! Needed some help from the friendly neighborhood Spiderman… A little birdie told me about something going on in Queens.”
“Queens?” Jeno asked, gripping the straps of his backpack. “You mean, other than the usual stuff?”
“Other than the usual stuff,” Chanyeol repeated, nodding. With a wave of his hand, the hologram disappeared, and another one appeared in its place. This time, instead of a 3D model, a few pictures and another, smaller 3D model appeared. Chanyeol turned to face him, frown deepening. He pointed at the model—a long, shiny oval-shaped purple stone. It reminded Jeno of an amethyst, but instead of turning white at the base, it turned to an iridescent jade tone. “You know what this is, right?”
Jeno nodded, remembering seeing the rocks all over the news when he was a kid. “That’s… that’s a Chitauri stone. From the invasion a few years back.”
Chanyeol nodded, standing up straight. “These stones have the potential to power weapons with no need to recharge, or change them out. They’re an infinite, extremely strong power source, Jeno, and in the wrong hands can be very dangerous.”
Jeno took a deep breath, feeling his stomach sink slowly. Chanyeol sighed. “Cleanup of the city after the invasion was long, and difficult, and obviously the government and the company weren’t able to get everything. It caused a black market to pop up. Now, the NYPD has been investigating it for years, but they have their limits… that’s where you come in.”
“M-me, Mr. Park?”
Chanyeol gave him a crooked, reassuring smile. He pointed at one of the pictures, which was of a man who most likely didn’t know he was photographed. He was walking somewhere, face looking angry and stern.
“You don’t know who this is, right?”
Jeno shook his head, and Chanyeol turned his head to nod at Junmyeon. “You’re up, tough guy.”
Junmyeon huffed, before walking up to Jeno. He put his hand on Jeno’s shoulder as if he could tell that he was growing anxious.
“Jeno, that’s Henry Duke. From what we understand on the intel team, he’s one of the cornerstones of the alien tech black market. He’s one of the top dogs. From what we understand, he likes to be present for all major negotiations that his group makes. A source of ours told us that there’s going to be a negotiation on Friday night not too far away from LaGuardia. We want you to go out there and just get a feel of what’s going on.”
“Just watch them, right?” Jeno looked at Junmyeon, who patted his back reassuringly. “Just watch. Don’t engage unless you absolutely have to.”
“You can do that, right?” Chanyeol said quietly, crossing his arms. “Because if not, then it’s totally—”
“Yeah, of course I can! Friday—shit, Friday. At what time are they supposed to be meeting up?”
Junmyeon furrowed his eyebrows, before answering, “Around eight or nine.”
Jeno bit his lip, thinking about the promise he’d made to you. It would just have to wait, he supposed. Chanyeol rarely asked anything this big of him.
“Alright,” Jeno agreed, “I’ll do it.”
Chanyeol grinned, clapping his hands together.
“Perfect.”
They discussed logistics briefly after. Doyoung would be on call with Jeno, his custom made suit allowing them to communicate, letting Doyoung see everything Jeno was seeing via a video feed coming from the ultra thin lenses placed in the white eye sockets of the mask. Doyoung would then report to Junmyeon, who would report to Chanyeol, who would probably report to the FBI. Jeno was only to engage if absolutely necessary.
After that, he set out on patrol. He usually found some discreet place to hide his backpack, and then went all over Queens looking for trouble, quite literally. Around five thirty, he stopped a robbery in Murray Hill. Then, around seven, he stopped a man from stealing a woman’s purse in Elmhurst. Nothing too much.
Around eight, he finally headed home, this time dressed normally, using the train and not web fluid. He walked home, tired, knowing that he’d immediately have to do that cursed AP calc homework. When he got home, he opened his backpack pocket to look for his keys, rummaging between his notebooks and other things.
Shuffling through his stuff, he furrowed his eyebrows as he couldn’t find them. Thinking back, he remembered this morning, when he’d left in a rush… and had very obviously left his keys on his desk.
“Shit,” He muttered to himself. He rubbed his eyes tiredly, remembering that Aunt Sunny had said she’d be working overtime tonight. He could very easily sneak in through his window, but he was pretty sure he’d locked it the night before, and it was too early. People’s lights were still on—anyone could see him if they just looked up, and then he would be screwed.
Huffing and zipping his backpack up, he marched up to your house, before ringing the doorbell. He shifted his weight back and forth, from his heels to the balls of his feet, until the door opened up. A familiar man with a face just like Doyoung's, but older, with graying hair and arms scarred and muscled from years of working on the police force stood in the doorway.
“Jeno?” Your dad offered him a warm smile. “Hey, kiddo, what’s up?”
“Hi, Mr. Kim,” Jeno said, smiling back. He shifted nervously. “I, um… I left my keys in my room this morning, and my aunt’s working late, so… could I… maybe wait here? Y/N’s home, right?”
The man nodded. “Of course, of course. Come in!”
Your dad had always been super friendly, even from the day Jeno had first met him. You'd told Jeno once that he was the only real father figure you'd ever had. Once everything settled after him and your mom got married, you started calling him dad altogether. And since you and Jeno were practically glued at the hip, he got along with your dad almost as well as you did.
“Okay.” Jeno stepped in and set down his backpack at the base of the coat rack next to the door, as he’d done a million times before. Jeno stepped into the living room, and sat down on the couch. He folded his hands in his lap and looked up at your dad.
"I think Y/N's in the shower, but she should be done soon. You can just wait here if you want… have you eaten anything yet?”
“Uh, I had a granola bar on the train, but that’s it.”
“We have some leftover pasta here, if you want—”
“Thanks, Mr. Kim, really! I’m fine.”
Your dad nodded, sitting down on his recliner. “So, have you started your college list, yet? Y/N said you wanted to stay here in New York.”
Jeno nodded, pushing some hair out of his face. “Well, yeah. It would make things a lot easier, I think. I might want to apply to NYU, but I think I’ll just go to community college, or something.”
Your dad shook his head. “You’re a pretty smart kid, Jeno. I think you could get into Columbia if you set out to. Plus, Chanyeol Park doesn’t give out internships to anybody. That’s your secret weapon.”
Jeno smiled. “Well, you’ve got a point.”
Your dad gave him a friendly punch on the shoulder. “Come on, trying won’t hurt!” Your dad made a face, and then rubbed his knuckles. “Have you been working out? Those muscles weren’t there the last time I did that.”
Jeno laughed, trying to think of an excuse. “Oh, a little bit? The house needed some fixing up over the summer, and I wanted to help Aunt Sunny, so…”
“Jeno?”
He turned immediately, eyes landing on you at the base of the staircase. You’d changed into an old t-shirt and pajama pants. Your hair was slightly damp. “What are you doing here?” You asked, with a curious smile.
His shoulders slumped, and he grinned sheepishly. “Terrible Tuesday strikes again. I forgot my keys.”
You grimaced. “Brutal, dude. You wanna come up?” Your eyes moved to your dad. “Or am I interrupting guy time?”
“Oh, definitely,” Jeno answered, playing along. He took a cocky tone as he rested his hands on the back of his neck. “Your dad was just telling me about how much the NYPD needs me.”
You stifled a laugh. You dad seemed to be holding back a laugh too. "Hey, you're joking, but if you keep working out like that, and if by some impossible chance, the college thing doesn't work out… We might just be able to catch Spiderman if we finally got some brain cells on the force."
"Ugh, dad," You groaned, unaware of Jeno's gut twisting, "Not again."
"Yeah, Mr. Kim," Jeno said, scratching the back of his head, "He's not that bad."
Your dad shook his head. "Look, I don't hate the guy. In all honesty, crime rates have dropped since he started doing his thing. But he thinks he's above the law, and his methods can be a bit… unorthodox sometimes. He’s been undermining us for years and his tech is state of the art. Makes me wonder about what we should do to modernize the force."
Jeno looked downward, wondering what would happen if your dad knew the truth.
"Well, I guess we may just never find out. Jeno'd make a horrible cop. He couldn't hurt a fly if you paid him a million dollars."
But you came to the rescue as you grabbed his backpack, and soon enough he was up the stairs with you, heading into your bedroom, laughing to yourselves when you heard your dad jokingly call out, "Fifteen inch distance, you two! Door stays open!"
He sat on your desk chair while you lay on your bed, limbs splaying out.
"So you left your keys."
Jeno groaned. "Don't remind me. I was in such a rush to leave, that I… I forgot. I'm so stupid."
You rolled your eyes, rolling over onto your stomach to look at him. "You're not stupid, Jen. You made an honest mistake because you were in a hurry."
Standing up, you walked over to him and leaned against the desk. "Seriously, Jeno. What's gotten into you, lately? You freak out about every little thing. It's starting to worry me."
Jeno shook his head. "I don't know," He admitted. "I think I'm just scared about how after this year, everything changes. Renjun’s headed upstate. Jaemin’s going to Boston. You want to go to LA. I think Hyuck and I are the only ones who want to stay here. I just… I don't want things to change."
Your expression turned sad as he continued. "Everyone is expecting great things from me. You're smart, Jeno. You can get into an Ivy. Or, you have a Park internship, you'll be fine. What if I don't want things to be fine? What if I want them to just stay the same?"
You stayed silent for a few moments, trying to think of what to say. Jeno was relatively level headed for someone your age, but even he had moments of doubt and panic. It made moments like these difficult. You sighed before grabbing him by the hand. Wordlessly, you tugged him over to the bed, sitting him down and leaning your head on his shoulder. He could feel the dampness in your hair seeping slowly into his shirt.
"I guess I understand what you mean," You mumbled, trying to reason with him, "But come on. You wouldn't really want everything to stay the same. You can't tell me you want to keep getting AP calc homework. And I definitely doubt that you'd want to have your ass kicked by San for the rest of your life."
Jeno looked at the floor. "You're right. But you know that's not what I mean—"
"I know," You huffed, "I'm just saying. Change… it's inevitable. The longer you fight it, the harder it is."
Jeno nodded. "This sucks."
"It does," You agreed, taking his hand in yours. "But at least we have each other's backs, y'know?"
Something of a smile appeared on his face. You were so close to him, leaning on him, stroking his knuckles with your thumb. He hoped you couldn't hear his heart pounding in his chest.
"We really do, huh?" His voice turned quiet, with a bit of a sleepy lull to it. He allowed his head to rest on yours. "You're so comfortable. Can I like, use you as a pillow for the rest of my life?"
You giggled. "I'll consider it on two conditions."
"Oh, you'll consider. How generous of you."
"Yes, I'll consider. Now, do you wanna hear my terms or not?"
Jeno raised an eyebrow. "Go ahead," He said, before putting on his best Marlon Brando voice, "Make me an offer I can't refuse."
Snorting, you lifted your head off of his. "Okay. One, you finish your calculus homework here before Sunny gets home."
He pursed his lips. "Okay, I could probably do that. What's the other one?"
"Let me drive you to school for the rest of the year."
Jeno stared at you, and you nodded, eyes wide. "Trust me, Jen. You wouldn't need to wake up so early! And plus, you can't text the guy manning the subway asking him to give you five minutes because you need to find your keys."
Jeno gnawed on the inside of his cheek. You did have a point, and to be honest, he could probably refrain from putting his feet up on your dashboard.
"Deal."
You grinned. "Awesome," You answered, before nodding towards his backpack. "Now get to work, Einstein."
The rest of the week wasn't that bad. Yes, you were absolutely batshit insane about your truck in the morning, but he soon realized he didn't really mind. Not when it allowed you both to spend some twenty extra minutes together in the mornings, and they were spent joking around and listening to your extremely varied playlist.
On the other hand, he was saddled with more and more homework, greater and greater expectations. The looming threat of Friday's mission rolled around, and it made Jeno feel like time was passing much too slowly but also way too quickly. There was so much on his mind. He had chemistry with you on Thursdays in the afternoon, which also meant that San was there. Which also meant that sometimes, his heightened senses would pick up on San dropping a tacky pick up line which made Jeno want to punch him in the jaw.
Finally, finally, Friday afternoon rolled around. As he bid you goodbye and promised to see you later, he tried to ignore the feeling in his stomach. The feeling that something was about to go very, very wrong. He went out on patrol, ready for Doyoung to set up the call and tell him where he needed to go. It didn’t help that there wasn’t a lot for him to do that day. Crime had seemed to slow down altogether.
When the time finally came, and the sun was beginning to set, Doyoung rang in at about 7, telling him the location. An old warehouse near LaGuardia airport, hidden from prying eyes. Jeno made his way to the place, avoiding security cameras Doyoung warned him about, and found a place to hide. There was a hole in the warehouse roof, which allowed him to peer right into the building without being seen. It was about thirty feet from the ground.
“Why is it always old, abandoned warehouses?” Jeno grumbled. He heard Doyoung laugh quietly.
“Beats me,” Doyoung sighed.
And so they waited. Jeno wondered vaguely if you were still working. He wasn’t sure. They made time talking quietly, until a black SUV rolled into the warehouse. “Woah, Doyoung,” He murmured, “Hold up.”
Jeno leaned forward, but quickly realized he probably wouldn’t be able to hear what was being said. “D.R.E.A.M, activate Heightened Intelligence Protocol.”
Activating Heightened Intelligence Protocol.
The protocol allowed Jeno to use the lenses over his eyes to zoom in on specific targets, as well as use a microphone embedded in the suit to pick up audio from far away and feed it directly into his ears.
He watched as three figures got out of the car, a fourth remaining in the driver’s seat. The trio stood in front of the car, and Jeno recognized the man in the middle as the man Junmyeon had been talking about.
“Alright, there’s Henry Duke,” He said, “The one in the middle.”
“Got it,” Doyoung replied, sounding satisfied. “Now all we have to do is wait for the other party.”
“Did Junmyeon’s sources say anything about who it would be?”
“No. They weren’t able to find that out. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.”
Jeno’s eyes never left the man. “Do you think it’s something international?”
Doyoung sighed. “I’m not sure. If it is international, then you need to be even more careful.”
“Got it. I think—Wait, here they come.”
A second vehicle, this one another black SUV, rolled up not too far away from the first car. The lights turned off and the engine sputtered to a stop, and four men stepped out of the vehicle.
Jeno’s stomach dropped, and of its own accord, his mouth let loose a quiet, “What the fuck,” as he registered the person leading them.
“What?” Doyoung asked, before realizing what—who—he was looking at. “...Is that my dad?”
“I think it is,” Jeno whispered, fingertips suddenly numb. Who was he kidding? They both knew who it was.
“So,” One of the men next to your dad said, “You show us yours, we’ll show you ours?”
Henry Duke clapped his hands together with an impish grin. “I suppose. Reagan, get the case.”
One of the two men standing beside him started off toward the trunk of the car. “It caught me off guard when I heard that the force wanted to purchase these. Almost made me wonder if this was your attempt at a sting operation.”
“What made you change your mind?” Your dad asked. Jeno swallowed at how cold he sounded. This wasn’t your dad, and it didn’t seem like Officer Kim either. This was someone Jeno had never met before.
“Honestly, Kim?” Duke raised an eyebrow, shrugging. “It was you. Your cooperativeness and willing to feed us information, as well as your… insurance agreement. And besides, you made a very interesting point when you said that the Avengers Initiative and Park’s alum Spiderman is ruining the way the law operates around here. That type of bitterness… hard to fake.”
Your dad huffed. “We’re fucking tired of it.”
The man leaning against the car your dad had stepped out of scoffed. “If this helps us catch the little asshole, then so be it.”
Jeno frowned. “I’m not little—”
“Jeno, shut up!” Doyoung snapped.
“—Alright, then.” The man holding the briefcase—Reagan—clicked it open, as if it were a prize reveal on The Price is Right. Five guns, all modified to hold glowing Chitauri stones were placed carefully together side by side.
“You know the basics. No radiation. Keep it away from security scanners and x-rays. They will blow up. And second of all, these are at half the price, along with the promise from the chief of police that my business won’t be touched, and will only be distributed to officers in on the operation and have agreed to turn off their body cameras when they decide to use these weapons. Should this not be a sting operation, we’ll be back here to negotiate.”
Jeno leaned forward, watching anxiously.
“Yes, sir,” Your dad answered, nodding. “We have the money here.”
“Hand it over, then.”
That was when Jeno made his mistake. He leaned forward too much, and proceeded to fall right through the hole, bringing down some scraps of the roof with him. As he tumbled through the air, the zoom on his lenses caused him to grow dizzy as he had no idea what he was looking at. He caught himself before he could fall, clumsily commanding D.R.E.A.M to go back to turn off the current protocol. His vision returned to normal, and he swung up onto a rafter holding the warehouse up.
“So, we have company.” Duke didn’t sound as amused as he had before. His face turned into a sneer. “Get him.”
In less than a second, before Jeno could say anything, five guns were pointed directly at him. He managed to swing away before any bullets could hit him.
“Jeno, get out of there now,” Doyoung ordered.
“What about the guns?” Jeno asked, swinging to another rafter. “They know I’m here, I might as well get them before I go—”
“No! Jeno, listen to what I’m telling you. You’ve done more than enough, and you need to let it g—”
Your dad aimed, and a bullet fired right at Jeno’s chest. For a second, he forgot that the chest area of the suit was lined with bulletproof material. While it didn’t shoot into his chest, it ricocheted right off him, and since he was in motion, it somehow caused the bullet to bounce back in the direction in which it came.
The wind was knocked out of Jeno, but it was nothing compared to watching the bullet land in the middle of your father’s chest. On the other line, he heard Doyoung yell, followed by the sound of something falling. And then, as he made his way back towards the hole he’d fallen out of, he couldn’t rip his eyes away from the body as it crumpled to the ground.
The others around him scrambled to get back into their respective cars. Jeno was back on the roof now, trying not to hyperventilate. “I’m sorry,” He gasped, “Do—Doyoung, I-I’m sorry, I didn’t want to—”
“Jeno, you need to get out of there, now,” Doyoung said, voice raspy. “GO!”
So he did, and Doyoung cut off the call once he was out of the vicinity. Jeno didn’t blame him. He swung across buildings, feeling numb as he looked for the apartment complex roof where he’d decided to hide his backpack.
When he finally did, he changed in a hurry, before slumping against the wall and forcing himself to take deep breaths.
Doyoung’s dad—your dad—was dead. And it was all his fault.
He cried on the way down the staircase. He cried on his way to the subway. The entire time, he ignored people’s stares. Suddenly everything was too loud, and if he met someone in the eyes he’d just about break down in the middle of the station.
As he got onto the train, Jeno thought about all of the things your dad had done for you, and for Jeno. All the times he'd taken you both to Coney Island in the summer when you were younger. The year Pokemon Go came out he took the both of you driving around in his car so you and Jeno could catch as many Pokemon as you could.
He’d formally adopted you when you were thirteen. You were his daughter in nearly every sense of the word, regardless of blood. And now he was dead, because of a stupid mistake that Jeno had made.
What would you say if you knew? He didn’t want to know. Checking the time on his phone, he saw he’d gotten a message from you just three minutes ago.
[8:36 PM]
y/n: lemme know when ur outside!! :)
“Fuck,” He murmured, wiping his eyes. He knew he needed to stop crying before he got to your house, and he had about ten minutes before he got to his stop, and then another five minute walk to the neighborhood. He focused on taking deep breaths and taking long swigs from his water bottle in the meantime, trying to tune out the sound of other people talking and the sound of the train on the rails.
The walk was the longest five minute walk he’d ever taken. The flashing lights of convenience stores did nothing to calm him down. As the stores in his peripheral vision began transitioning into suburban homes, he felt his heart speed up again. The constant movement as he walked meant he missed his phone vibrating in his backpack as you rang his number.
After what seemed like an eternity, two familiar houses came into his line of vision, and his shoulders slumped as he spotted you on your porch, looking small and teary, curled up into a little ball. In one hand, you were clutching your phone.
His stomach twisted as he put on a confused tone, even though he knew damn well that you knew. “...Y/N?”
You stood up, running to him and burying yourself into his chest, crumpling into his arms. You would have fell over if Jeno hadn’t held both of you up.
“Jeno,” You sobbed, “You’re n-not go-onna believe it.”
He brought a hand up to caress your hair, holding back tears of his own as he asked a question he already knew the answer to.
“Y/N, what happened?”

Chara, the fourth Blook cousin:
A crack theory that accidentally become way more serious than it should have because it somehow, despite my best efforts, ended up making sense
Brought to you by my idiot conspiracy brain (affectionate) and by encouragement from my Tumblr followers
Under the cut for the sake of your dashes and sanity
Ok here we go my very elaborate accidental theory, because in order to answer the complex questions simply you must first make simple things more complex or something
First, you need to know that Chara became a Blook cousin by adoption.
All of the Blooks are adopted.
Ghosts are not born into families, they make their own.
Got it? Great, because we’re about to start running
so first, im gonna make surprisingly uncommon claim in this fandom, and I am going to say that undertale ghosts are all dead
I’m taking the tiny details we know about ghosts and sprinting with them to new places
Ghosts also do not have souls I decided
Undertale souls do not work the same as souls in traditional mythology
So every ghost is soulless Unless and Until they become corporeal
Evidence: Monster souls cant exist without bodies, and ghosts are monsters, therefore ghosts cannot have souls without bodies
Further evidence: Asriel doesnt steal blooky’s soul, blooky is unkillable, we have no concrete evidence that blooky has a soul
What about mettaton? He only has a soul after he has completely committed to being corporeal and to a specific body.
Also maddy and mettaton are both only killable while corporeal
Im also connecting the dots we have about souls in a new creative way so let me live for a second
Additionally, i am going to claim that there are a lot more ghosts than just the blooks, some evidence given below
Theres like actual scientific knowlege of ghosts in the undertale verse which seems unlikely if theres literally only three or four
The underground is so much bigger than you think, theres that giant forest in snowdin, a large town in the ruins, the huge city of new home, who knows how much space in the large open areas of waterfall etc. Its really really big okay
Also based off evidence of blooky, we can conclude that ghosts can turn invisible whenever they want to and/or haunt objects to hide
So I personally think that ghosts are, generally speaking, extremely reclusive
And the blooks are just a special exception, a beautiful family, amazing for them
So anyway im going with typical ghost lore for now, for the sake of ease, so im gonna say ghosts generally come from monsters who are particularly restless or unsatisfied when they die
HOWEVER i dont think they remember being monsters or anything before being a ghost. They just kinda fizzle into existance with a fully formed personality and immortality while being unkillable and feeling vaguely uneasy
ALSO i personally think that chara was a ghost for a long time before they became a blook by adoption
Based on game lore, i think ghosts can possess any inanimate object and just kinda wear it? But it takes a lot of strong emotion to become corporeal
And chara is the super weird exception because they were a human not a monster.
They dont have a soul (i headcanon that their soul got destroyed when asriel died)
And they KNOW this, which is a huge part of why they kinda just... give up
Because they lost their ability to fulfill prophecy
Also, without a soul, they lost their ability to reset, so for the first time since falling underground, theyre subject to the relentless march of time
But theyre still weirdly strong and powerful and more emotional
ALSO they DO still remember being a human but they catch on pretty quickly that other ghosts dont have memories and because chara is stupid they just lie to fit in
Theyre too tired to explain themself, they just want to be alone and feel awful
Now back to ghost lore
Emotions are a lot harder for ghosts??? I decided
And they dont know why,, they tend to blame it on the soul thing
But realistically its actually more of the immortality thing making actions not have consequences and/or or not having a body so they cant have a sense of touch or have physical effects of emotion
They all know that ghosts just tend to be way more floaty and bored and numb
And thats part of why the blooks are so special
Maddy’s rage and Mettaton’s yearning and Napstablook’s misery are like... not great all of the time...
but theyre also way way more emotion than most ghosts have,,, they are just a family supporting each other, being as functional as they can,, just an emo(tional) ghost family
most ghosts barely do anything except like stare at walls but the blooks have their snail farm and that helps them have purpose and it is good
And they hold each other accountable and it is nice
So anyway chara just chills and is in a depression coma for a few decades before the blooks find them and are like “our child/baby cousin”
and they raise them for a cool minute
They are all very protective of the new baby emo blook
And chara doesnt get therapy but at the very least they once again have a family, and they decide they want to try to become corporeal eventually just like mtt and maddy
So anyway chara starts hanging out in the ruins a lot more and they finally tell the blooks theyre leaving to go become corporeal in the ruins
This is actually because they are trying to hang out with toriel
because they miss their mom ;;
but chara’s not gonna admit that to anyone, especially not to themself
And because theyre still repressing their emotions constantly and pretending to be fine, they cant become corporeal
And they hang out in the ruins for a long time because they feel guilty lying to everyone about everything
They still feel like its their fault that all the monsters are stuck underground, because they were SUPPOSED to save everyone and they COULDNT and it HURTS
But again, they are doing too much repression to use this guilt to become corporeal,
so instead they just kinda hide and watch toriel from a distance and cry
Blooky visits them the most, thats why blooky is chilling in the ruins so much at the start of the game
Theyre just there to visit their shy baby cousin ;;
Ofc they wont tell frisk about this because chara wants space and privacy and blooky respects that
but maddy and mtt also visit them a lot
Oh also when mtt and maddy start dissapearing, blookys mental health plummets as their family and support system starts to dissolve
Blooky was actually doing extremely well (for a ghost) for a long time, i headcanon,
but theyre doing the worst theyve been in a long long time during the game, because of family issues
So anyway, chara dissapears when frisk shows up, and maddy assumes this is becaude frisk hurt their fragile feelings
Maddy spends hours desperately searching the ruins for chara and cant find them and assumes that they had their heart crushed and went to hide and disappear in a depression coma for another few decades, and thats part of why maddy is so furious with frisk
Like,, to be clear, maddy is still jumping to conclusions and throwing blame around with no proof, but also, its a logical conclusion to come to
And mettaton has already disappeared too and been gone for a while, too, by this point, so it hurts even worse
But anyway, what actually happened to chara is that;
Because chara is a human ghost, not a monster ghost, normal ghost rules dont apply to them
And they can possess living things too they find out
Maybe they knew it a long time ago, maybe its a new discovery, but for whatever reason they end up possessing frisk and theyre like “what the heck”
And frisk still has most of the control
But now chara is like,,, “this is my chance, im a human again, gotta save the world for real,,,”
and they cant explain this to anyone without revealing their past
so they just chill in frisk’s mind while being super crypic and trying to figure out how it works
Pacifist route, this is pretty much exactly what happens
They manage to help frisk save the day
And in my headcanon, the no mercy route is started by frisk who is scared when faced by monsters attacking them
And then chara, who was aready hiding in a semidepression coma for a while, immediately transitions to a panicked “gotta protect this body, gotta protect my chance to be human, i died and threw away my chance to save everyone the first time, i CANNOT lose this chance again”
And so the combination of both frisk and chara is the genocide run
Because frisk kills in self defense, and whenever frisk hesitates, chara jumps in
Also theres leftover feelings from the whole asriel incident
Because again, ghosts come from monsters who died unsatisfied
And chara’s main source of unsatisfaction is how they were trying to get asriel to kill people before he died and then he didnt
So thats a strong strong feeling ruling them
So anyway by the time they both realize how bad its become they figure its too late and also the amount of LOVE has made them numb
And thats when chara who, despite everything, still has idiot hero complex and thinks they need to save the world
So, while panicking, they step in at the very end, and erase the timeline and delete everything
And also to clarify
They DONT HAVE this power at any other point in the game
Because, guess why
They become corporeal
Just like maddy, the no mercy route is the only thing that gives them strong enough emotion to spontaneously become corporeal
So they become corporeal and as soon as they have a soul again and can reset again, they just erase everything
Ok back to fluff
Post pacifist route, they are still a non corporeal ghost
They can still float around and look just like the other blooks
And it takes them a while to open up about things, but they do end up moving back in with blooky so that blooky isnt completely alone
And also they do way better with a family
Also they can float through the mountain and talk to flowey down below and bring him news
And now that they know about him, they can bond with him and explain that they dont have a soul either but that doesnt mean theyre worthless
Oh ALSO
The other dead humans dont have ghosts
BECAUSE
ghosts only come from restless dead MONSTERS
and chara is the weird special exception
Because they were a monster when they died
They became a ghost and asriel didnt because they were way more restless and stressed than asriel was when both of them died
Like sure, asriel felt awful, but chara was the one who was way more like “this is my fault, i CANT die now, the world NEEDS me”
So anyway
charablook the emo tween ghost and asriel flowey the eldrich goat daisy are siblings once more and they hang out and eventually they are okay and have a family again
Thank you for reading, this has been my thoughts on a crack theory that accidentally went too far
This isnt even everything, maybe i’ll make a part two eventually, but i promised to have this post out like two days ago, so i wanted to post SOMTHING
Anyway leave your thoughts if youd like
Im not looking for people to disprove it, i already know its crazy, i dont think it was intentional by the game writers, but i do think its a fun concept
thats the fun of it, so if anyone wants to run with it im all for it lol
Thanks again! Have a nice day!
#no mercy#as a warning tag#chara undertale#napstablook undertale#fic tag#meta#analysis#crack theroy#undertale#i didnt edit this very much#so if there are any major typos or parts that didnt make sense#or were illegible#feel free to let me know so i can clarify

“What the hell are you doing here?” you aimed your gun at him, moving backward.
“Put that down, (Y/N). Do you even know how to use it?” Jay scoffed, walking around you while you continued pointing your gun at him.
“Why are you here?” you asked again.
“A lot of reasons. You already look like you’re handling a lot, so I think it’s best for both of us if I leave for a little? Put this little plan on pause?”
You could feel your heart rate quickening as he continued to walk to you, before stopping in front of you.
“I'm gonna kill you,” you spat.
“Get your revenge on me, but make sure it’s a fair battle. As you can clearly see, I’m unarmed.”
“You have powers. You’re not human.”
“Then I won’t use them. Do you want to have this fight with me when one of your friends is on the brink of death?”
Derek came back to your mind as you lowered your gun.
“That’s what I thought. Here,” he tossed you your phone as you tensed up.
“You-”
“Yeah, I don’t need it anymore. I’ll see you in a bit,” he winked at you before walking away.
Your entire body was shaking as you stood outside the Salvatore House, breathing in shaky breaths before you shook your head, entering the house.
Be calm
“Where’s Derek?” you asked.
“In his room,” Stefan replied.
Zach and him were walking around, while you saw Zach carrying weapons.
You sighed, making your way up the stairs to Derek’s room. Laura sat with him, holding his hand while he laid unconscious on the bed. He had an EKG next to him. You could see the burns on his body as you tensed, slowly walking to Laura. She wiped her tears, before looking up at you.
“Damon did…” her voice broke as she stopped herself.
You wrapped your arms around her tightly, while she hugged you back.
“Why isn't he healing?” you asked softly.
“Fire, Silver, and Wolfsbane are our weaknesses. If he wakes up, he can heal. But I don’t know if he’s gonna wake up.”
“We need to take him to the hospital,” you replied.
“No, they’re going to have questions about it, and then if he wakes up and heals-”
“I know a doctor that works at the hospital. He knows about the supernatural, he and his wife are members of the supernatural council. Derek’s innocent, they won’t hurt him,” Laura’s face was filled with worry.
“We can’t do much here. You can only heal him so much without losing your alpha status,” she nodded her head, agreeing before walking to Zach and Stefan.
Tears rushed to your eyes in an instant as you looked down at Derek’s body, stroking his cheek. There was a look of discomfort on his face.
“You need to wake up, you idiot,” you held back your cries as you pressed a small kiss to his forehead.
“Please wake up.”
---
“Thank you for helping us, Doctor Grayson,” he smiled, before walking away from you.
“You’re quiet,” Zach stood next to you as you shook your head.
“Have you heard anything from Stefan?” you asked.
Zach shook his head, before putting his hand on your shoulder.
“What's going on?” he frowned.
You could feel your heart rate increasing as sniffled softly.
“Can we talk about this later?”
His face softened as he nodded.
“I’m gonna go check on Derek.” you nodded before he walked away.
You heard your phone ringing, as you frowned.
“Stefan, what is it?”
“I need you back here. For whatever reason, Damon’s going after you to get back at me and Zach. Derek’s already hurt, he’s gonna get you too,” you could hear the pain in his voice as you softened.
“What’s the problem then?” you asked.
“You need to be under lockdown. It’s too risky for you to be at the hospital right now.”
“I can’t just leave. Derek’s…”
“We can’t do anything about him right now. The best you can do is stay hidden.”
You felt your eyes water slightly. You were useless, there was nothing you could do to help anyone. You were weak, the only thing you could do was hide.
“(Y/N), please come back,” Stefan begged.
“Okay,” your voice was barely above a whisper.
You ended the call, before walking to Zach. Your chest was aching, you felt like your heart was about to jump out of your body.
“Stefan wants me to come home. He thinks it’ll be safer,” you said softly.
Zach and Laura nodded, before you gave them a quick hug.
You pressed a small kiss to Derek's head, before walking away.
“Excuse me,” you jumped, seeing Damon behind you.
“Hey,” you grabbed your gun, aiming it at him.
“If you shoot me, your little friend is gonna die. You won’t be able to save him,” Damon taunted.
“What do you mean?” you frowned slightly.
“The one who’s out of your league. He’s more on the annoying side. Come with me and I’ll let him go, deal?” you quickly nodded, tossing your gun aside before taking off with Damon.
---
“Why are you doing this?” the two of you stood on top of a building, while he held onto your arm tightly.
“It isn't fair that I had to suffer because of Stefan and now I’m the bad guy,” Damon shrugged.
“Isn’t fair? You set Derek on fire,” you yelled.
“Who’s fault is it for having a box of lighters in the basement? You should've seen the look on his face. He was terrified,” you heard Damon laughing as you dug your nails into your palm.
“Stefan's the villain in your story, but to everyone else, he’s the hero. He’s done more good than you’ll ever do. Deep down you’re jealous of him. Stefan has people in his life who care about him and you have no one!” Damon put his hand around your neck, lifting you off the floor.
You took it to your advantage, kicking his stomach as he doubled over, stumbling back a few steps.
He ran back to you, grabbing your arm before you twisted his arm backward, pulling it until you heard the noise of something snapping. He yelled out in pain before he pulled you, pushing you to the floor.
“You’re really gonna die now,” you were slightly out of breath before pushing yourself up.
Damon used his speed, pushing you down once again before coming on top of you. You tried to push him off before he held you down with his other arm. It must have healed already. You felt him press down on your chest, instantly feeling burning. You gasped for air, feeling immense pain. His hand entered your chest slowly as you cried out in pain, trying to push him away.
“Stefan got everything. He left me,” you could see Damon's eyes water as your face softened.
He wasn't the bad guy, he was jealous of Stefan and he was lonely.
“If you kill me then you lose Stefan forever. Is that what you really want?” your voice was strained as he pressed into your chest. You could feel your blood dripping down his fingers.
“Shut up,” you could see his eyes darken, veins surrounding them.
“Stefan will hate you. Forever. That’s not what you want,” you said.
He put his hand around your throat, pulling you up as you struggled for your breath. You felt a sharp pain in your leg, feeling it hit the cement with intense pressure.
He pushed you down, your back hitting the edge of the roof as your head dangled from it.
“You don’t know anything. You stupid, useless kid. If Stefan cared about you, he would be here,” Damon spat.
“If you believe that then kill me,” he continued to press on your throat, your vision fading in and out as you felt the air leaving your body.
He let go of your throat, while you took a big breath in, before he pushed you down, feeling your head hit the ground as you fell unconscious.
---
You blinked your eyes, feeling your head aching as you winced, rubbing it. You looked at your hands, seeing the blood from your head as you sighed, standing up slowly, using the ledge of the building for support.
Damon was nowhere to be found, you knew your words meant something to him. He was gone. You looked at your phone screen, seeing messages and calls from Stefan, Zach, and Laura.
You called Zach, as he picked up on the first ring.
“Where are you? Are you okay? We've been trying to call you for so long!” you heard Zach yell.
“Is that (Y/N)?” you heard Stefan’s voice in the background.
“I’m okay. Damon's gone,” you said.
“What do you mean gone? What happened?” Zach asked.
“I’ll tell you in a bit. I’m coming home now,” you started.
“We’re at the hospital. Derek woke up,” you let out a shaky breath, feeling relief in your chest.
“God. Okay, I’m on my way. Don’t leave,” you hung up the phone, feeling your leg aching as you tried to walk.
Son of a bitch
You limped slowly, making your way down the stairs of the building.
---
You entered the waiting room, walking to the desk before hearing Stefan’s voice. Zach and Stefan ran to you, all worried as they examined your wounds. They could see the blood on your shirt, your wound dripping slightly.
“What the hell happened? You’re limping,” Zach pointed out.
“It’s okay. It doesn't hurt that much,” you shook your head.
“God, I’m so sorry,” Stefan said softly, wrapping his arms around you.
“It’s not your fault,” you replied.
“What are these marks?” Zach examined the wounds on your neck from Damon strangling you.
“I’ll tell you later. You said Derek’s awake, right?” you asked.
Stefan nodded, before putting his hand on your shoulder.
“Take some of my blood,” he said.
“Not right now,” you said.
“(Y/N)-”
“I want to see Derek,” you stopped him.
Zach sighed, before nodding his head.
“We need to talk about a lot of things when we get home, okay?” you nodded, before Stefan held your arm, walking you to the room.
“Stefan, what did you do to Damon?” you asked softly.
You saw his face drop before he looked down.
“When I turned into a vampire, I forced him to feed. I didn’t want to be alone.”
“Well, he’s alone right now. That’s why he tried to kill me. He misses you, whether he wants to admit it or not.”
He frowned, before looking down at you.
“Since when are you so sentimental?”
Since my ex is back in town probably to murder me
“Shut up,” you pushed him slightly, before groaning as he pulled on your arm.
“Well, I’ll leave you two alone. Laura’s getting Derek something to eat, she’ll be back in a bit,” you nodded, entering Derek’s room.
He was awake, a wide grin on his face.
“Hi,” he said.
You scoffed, shaking your head.
“You look like such a dork,” you said.
“And you look worse than me. And I’m the one in the hospital bed,” you walked over to him, seeing he was healed up.
“Why are you still in bed if you’re healed?” you asked.
“Well, Doctor Grayson said that even though I’m healed, he wanted me to spend the night so no one else gets suspicious. How do they all know about the supernatural?”
“Well, Mystic Falls was basically built from witches and vampires. If there was a vampire in town, then they’d be on edge. But, a family from the council, the Lockwoods, are werewolves. They think when and if a war comes, wolves will side with them against vampires.”
“That’s bullshit,” Derek scoffed.
“Yeah, you’re telling me,” you laughed.
You stroked Derek’s cheek, while he closed his eyes, leaning into your hand.
“I’m glad you’re not dead,” you said softly.
“Yeah, right back at you,” he smiled softly.
You punched his arm, while he groaned.
“What the hell?” he exclaimed.
“Now that Damon’s gone… what the hell are you thinking going out with Emily? Dean and her were together, Dean is like your only friend here!” you hissed.
“He said he was cool with it! Emily asked me out, okay?!”
“That’s messed up, dude,” you shook your head.
“Oh, shut up,” he rolled his eyes.
You felt yourself at peace, keeping your mind on your friends.
“Well, I’m not going home until you are, so I’m crashing on the chair,” you motioned to the chair next to his bed.
“Going to sleep? You’re boring,” Derek teased.
“Yeah, whatever. See you in the morning, loser,” you laid back in the chair, kicking your feet up to his bed as he scoffed, before laying back on the bed:
“See you in the morning, (Y/N/N),” you closed your eyes, taking a deep breath before letting yourself fall asleep.

A Suna Rintarou series
Summary: Suna was the best boyfriend you could ask for, after fighting with your inner demons that screamed you were ugly, worthless, and annoying. You finally decided to go the next step with your boyfriend, only to find out it was all a game.
A/N: PART 14 kagsiakwiaksksks ughhhh GUYS ITS ALMOST TIME LAIIAISEHHDUEISJS
Warnings: underaged drinking, smut, guys talking badly about women, heartbreak, messed up shit that you shouldn’t do and a bit of fluff if you squint
Disc seven-slide two: Kageyama Y/N 🤍
You shouldn’t have done that.
You were sitting on the bed and you checked the time, 3 am.
You turned to find Oikawa laying next to you.
How can he sleep so peacefully?
You groaned and rubbed your face.
You were sore all over.
You heard the curtain open and the nurse came in. “You need to go to the pharmacy and get this prescription and then you should be fine in a week.” She smiled and you nodded. She handed you the brace and you thanked her and shook your head when she asked if you needed help.
“Tooru-Senpai.” You shook him gently, “Iwa-Chan marry me~” he mumbled and hugged the stiff hospital bed pillow.
“Oi, I’m not 𝓘𝔀𝓪-𝓬𝓱𝓪𝓷. I’m Y/N remember? The person you almost killed.” You flicked his forehead and he groaned. “You heard nothing.” He immediately said as he sat up with a sigh.
“Never again.” You mumbled and winced when you moved your leg. “Hey now we match!” He exclaimed but you just gave him and bruh face. “Seriously?” You asked and he apologized. “I shouldn’t have made a bet with you. Now you’re hurt. Just stick to being a setter.” He patted your shoulder.
He mentioned that your skills were hella rusty and you bit back that you haven’t played in two years. He said that you sucked at receiving and you couldn’t be an ace even if you tried. Obviously you are a Kageyama and you are very competitive and decided to prove him wrong. One bad jump and you landed on your knee and now Oikawa was running with you on his back to the nearest emergency clinic. You’re on the phone with your aunt explaining what happened and that you’ll be home late.
The wait was so long and when you were finally seen it was so quick. You slowly took a step on your bad leg and winced slightly but you managed to walk it off. Tooru-Senpai was giving you advice on how to care for your knee and how to walk. His older sister managed to drop you off at home and Tobio was still awake in the room you two were sharing for your stay.
“You didn’t go to sleep? I thought you have practice in a few hours.” You asked and he scowled. “I do but how can I sleep knowing my favorite cousin got hurt because of Oikawa.” He asked and you apologized and sat on his bed, you whimpered and gripped your thigh. He sighed and stood up from his futon. Yes he was forced to give you his bed and he was stuck sleeping on the floor.
He helped you take it off and rub cream to help with the pain. He even gave you some pain killers. You gave him a small thanks but he muttered a “whatever I’ll walk you to the station. I’ll go to practice after.”
Just walk off the pain
Just walk off the pain
Well it didn’t necessarily hurt but there was a discomfort. You could walk but when you had to go up the stairs? Yeah no thanks. Especially in the skirt you’re wearing.
You usually wore black tights with your uniform but because of your knee, you decided not to. You wore the small brace and made your way to your locker. Some boys in the basketball team were near your locker waiting for their teammate and they kept laughing loudly and tossing the basketball to eachother. Right when you closed your locker one of the boys bumped into your side causing you to bump against your locker and the apple of your knee kissed the locker perfectly. “Fuck!” You winced and fell back on your butt. Your textbooks scattered everywhere and everything in your bag fell out.
You cried silently as you quickly gripped your thigh due to the pain. “Holy shit I’m sorry are you—“ “IM FINE!” You raised your voice. Before you knew it you saw the familiar blonde and grey haired boys as they picked up your stuff and your boyfriend easily lifted you in his arms and asked if you were okay. “Rin I’m fine put me down.” You assured and he gently set you down like a fragile piece of china. “Kageyama, I’m really sorry...” the guy said and you looked up and smiled softly and wiped your tears. “It’s okay, just be careful next time kay?” You said and he nodded and immediately turned around with the rest of his friends. Hmm weird...
“Did you guys miss me?” You teased and turned to the three boys only to find them glaring at the poor boy who hurt you. “Don’t start. It was an accident.” You said and pushed the twins while linking arms with your tall boyfriend. “You sure you’re fine?” Osamu asked and you nodded. “This is what happens when all your life you train as a setter only to turn into a middle blocker to prove someone wrong.” You sighed and they literally looked at you and sighed in sync. “You need to be careful. What are we going to do if you die?” Atsumu said seriously and you gave him a look. “Uh..people don’t die in volleyball.” RIP Daichi You told him and he sighed once again. The bell rang and you tried to grab your bag and books out of the twin’s hand but Suna beat you to it and took everything with you trailing next to him. “I can carry that, Rin.” You told him and he shook his head. “If I could I would carry you too.” Suna said and went at your pace which was slower than usual.
He walked you to your desk and like a good boyfriend set down your bag to the side and place the textbooks on the desk. “Did the doctor say you need to sit and rest?” He asked worriedly, “No she actually wanted me to keep walking around.” You replied and he nodded. “Okay cool. I’ll be taking your bags and books so don’t take them after class. Okay?” He asked and you nodded. “I’ll talk to you after.” He said softly and leaned down to give your head a kiss and he made his way to the other side of the classroom.
Your face flushed and you looked down at your desk. You felt eyes staring and you looked up to see almost your whole class staring. This is probably weird to them. At the start of highschool Suna always kept this silent but deadly persona then all of a sudden he’s dating the smartest kid in class. What is this a fanfiction? Yes.
“What are you looking at?” Suna spoke up and the class looked away and sat in their proper seats waiting for the teacher to arrive and start class.

Headcanons for being Hope van Dyne’s child
Hope van Dyne x child!reader
Scott Lang x stepkid!reader
warnings: insects (ants), sharp weapons
a/n:
prompt: anonymous: “Happy holidays darling! Would you write HC for Hope Van Dyne's child? Love the step-parents HC 🥰”
growing up as a lil smarty pants
grandpa hank was pretty proud, although he didn’t see you very much
once every few years
but he did tell you all these crazy stories about his adventures that you honestly thought were just fiction (until you were older)
“and i was as small as an ant, but i was still incredibly strong! remember that, kid. just because you aren’t as big as someone else doesn’t mean you can’t beat them” -hank
“y/n doesn’t need to be hearing those stories, hank” -hope
“why not? they have important life lessons in them!” -hank
“why does mommy call you ‘hank?’” -you
“because mommy hates grandpa, isn’t that right?” -hank
“okay, i think that’s enough of this visit. come on, y/n, time to go” -hope
your mom was very supportive of you, nonetheless
she wanted to be different from her dad
so she showed up to EVERYTHING
birthdays, sick days, tucking you in for bed, parent-teacher conferences, art shows, you name it
“here’s some tea, jellybelly. it’ll make your throat feel better” -hope
“mom, i think i’m dying” -you
“you’ll be fine” -hope, givin’ u a kiss on the forehead
life wasn’t like, extra crazy or anything. sometimes she’d bring you to work and honestly? darren cross didn’t seem like the worst guy. he even brought you whatever you might need if your mom was staying late at work
“hey, van dyne junior! i brought you a puzzle that might keep you busy for a while...and a happy meal from mcdonalds! let me know if you need anything else, me and your mom will just be in the lab for a little while” -darren
“thank you!!!” -you
uh huh, ur mom taught u manners!
anyways you started spending more time with your grandpa cuz they had a plan
thats when you found out that his “turning small” stories were not, in fact, bullshit
“wait grandpa...you actually did shrink as small as an ant?” -you
“why would i lie?” -hank
okay well cue you wanting to shrink down to ant size now it was your new aspiration
you did learn how to command ants tho!!!!!!
but unfortunately (or not so unfortunately) hank brought scott to the party
“hi!” -you, waking scott up
“what?!” -scott, jumping back against the headboard
“hi.” -you, staring at him “im y/n. these are my ants”
bullet ants were just crawlin around the place
“oh, that’s....that’s cool. any chance you could tell me where i am or how i got here” -scott
“wouldn’t you like to know, weather boy” -you, leaving abruptly
“are you bothering our guest?” -hope, watching you proudly nod “good job, jellybelly”
mom taught u how to punch 🥰🥰🥰
and let you use scott as a punching bag
but scott wasn’t like awful or anything he was just insufferable at times
“i think you’d like my daughter cassie. she’s weird and smart just like you” -scott
“did you just call me weird? mom, can i punch him again?” -you
“no no no! i meant weird in a good way! please dont hurt me anymore!” -scott
chasing him around the yard ready to ATTACK
hank had to tell u to cut it out
“dont tell them what to do” -hope
“someone has to” -hank
“excuse me? i parent y/n just fine, better than you ever did for me!” -hope
“do they do this often?” -scott
“every time they see each other but that’s not very much” -you
“hm...hey, do you like ice cream? specifically baskin robbins?” -scott
ur mom said “we do not associate with idiots ❤️” and then proceeded to associate with said idiots
scott did end up saving u from darren tho bc that mf tried to hold u hostage and scott was really not in the mood for that bullshit
“you alright, y/n?” -scott
“murder is okay, right?” -you
after that whole ordeal he and your mom were kinda a thing uh huh
and he introduced you to cassie!!! she was amazingly sweet and you could def see the family resemblance
“is this my new sibling?! i’ve always wanted one!” -cassie
“hey, me too!” -you
you hung out with her on a weekly basis, with or without scott
and mom and grandpa were working on a ✨special project✨
one you insisted on being apart of
“no, y/n, we can’t make you your own suit. you’re too young for this sort of thing” -hope
“pleaaaaase mom? i swear i’ll he responsible with it!” -you
“you’re mother is right, y/n. you’re just not ready yet. maybe someday, but not anytime soon” -hank
scott took you on family bowling trips yes he did
and just corny stepdad shit
but he went to germany and mom and him broke up and FF to two years later when you guys had finally reunited
“scott!! you asshole!!” -you, like this -> :)
“kiddo!! sorry to hear that!!” -scott, same energy
shading him the whole time
“ach mein gott” -you
“are you kidding me, y/n? i make one mistake. ONE” -scott
“you’re one mistake has caused me to live in MINIATURE HOMES” -you
“THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD THING” -scott
“WELL IT’S NOT” -you
“did you at least miss me?” -scott
“sicher habe ich” -you
“god dammit” -scott
surprise!! u kind of had a suit (for emergencies)
as a van dyne/pym, it was almost a necessity to know how to use pym particles
scott acted like a proud dad
“wow, you’re really doing it!!!” -scott
“halt die klappe” -you
“please stop” -scott, tearing up
finding out about ✨grandma✨
she possessed scott and touched ur face and told you that she was so excited to meet you but you didn’t know wtf was going on and you had the urge to smack scott but THANKFULLY you did not
“i have to meet her for real! let me help you guys!” -you
“okay” -hope
“what? really?” -you
“it’s about time we put your genius to good use” -hope
scott offered you a high five for that and u literally accepted it
“don’t get too happy, that was just an in-the-moment thing” -you, watching scott’s eyebrow raise “fine. you can have a hug”
okay okay well everything went okay and then half the world ~vanished~ including ur whole family but like cassie and her family took you in and you spent five years very alone and upset until one day cassie called you downstairs and whoopdedoo???? scott???????
“is my mom with you?” -you
“sorry, sport, she’s not...do you have your suit with you? we need to go on some...hero business” -scott
you missed scott a lot over the past 5 years, this really did cheer you up, even if it was just him
“how’ve you been holding up the past few years” -scott
“the world sucks, man” -you
“i can see that” -scott
he turned on some tunes for the two of you to enjoy otw to the avengers hq and it was probably the best memory you created since everyone disappeared
“wait, reach into the glove box” -scott
“oh, god, i hope there’s no rodents in here...” -you, reaching for a picture “is this..?”
“family photo!! you were little back then, i can’t believe how time flies. i mean, it flew really quick for me, the quantum realm is no joke” -scott
you were busy staring at the picture of your mom, you really missed her
busy ~saving the world~
and going to 2012 with scott
“hey uh just so you know, i might be able to make pym particles” -you
“‘might?’ and if we use faulty pym particles we ‘might’ die. would you like that?” -tony
“hey, back off, stark. they’re just trying to help” -scott
next thing u know ur in present day and THEN u actually got to hold the scepter bc scott let u
“im gonna stab you!!” -you
“no!!!” -scott
the other avengers, literally mourning natasha while you chase him around with a sharp weapon: 😧
okay after the place was destroyed u got to face mr. purple man and yo mama showed back up and saw you on the front lines
“y/n????” -hope
“mom????” -you
“scott!!!!” -scott
“really, scott? a shrek reference? now?” -you “...nice”
the reunion with your mom was short and sweet but you missed her forehead kisses and she gave you one immediately!!!! and she was crying but you were too bc damn
“listen, after this, we’re gonna have such a fun family night. i’m so sorry i couldn’t be there for you all this time” -hope
“mom, it wasn’t your fault...it was that purple bastard, let’s get him!” -you
“they grow up so fast...” -hope
i n s e c t f a m
insect fam killed it out there and then ✨attended tony’s funeral✨ together right after
that’s one solid family 😌💖
anyways time to celebrate a (halfway) return to normalcy
with your *sister* cassie and your mom and your...scott
you were just happy to all be together again, it’s been WAY too long

A Thousand Worlds
Summary: Fix it fic of sorts after the trauma that was episode 6 of the Loki series. Loki is in pain after discovering Mobius doesn’t remember him. He’s been living in apocalypses to avoid capture by this new TVA until he formulates a plan to get his Mobius back.
Rating: T for later chapters
Emotional angst.
Chapter One.
Chapter Two.
“And so that’s where I grew up, the ends of a thousand worlds.”
The ends of a thousand worlds. The words of his accomplice echoed through the god’s mind as he fiddled with the straps of his worn and tattered holster. The fluorescent above him flickered with every gust of wind that battled against the sides of the building that Loki was crouched down in. He slid his long legs out against the tiled floor in front of him and sat with his head propped against the wall. He sighed. Loki tapped his foot on the door of the space he was hiding in to close it, drowning out the cries of fear from the people outside in their final hours of life. There he sat waiting for the tempad to charge. Alone. Living in another world where every person he met would be dead by the end of the day. Another world where Mobius didn’t exist. His Mobius.
Was this what it was like? For her? To never be able to stay in one place for more than a day? To always see the same faces riddled with fear as they awaited their painful fate? To only know destruction, screaming, fires, earthquakes, the literal gates of hel? To be utterly alone with your only desire to live in the hope that one day your glorious purpose would be fulfilled?
Glorious purpose.
Loki scoffed. The god didn’t know what his purpose was anymore. Taking down the TVA was a complete failure. The chances for fixing the mess they started seemed impossible now as branches grew and new timelines erupted, with endless TVAs to monitor every universe. At least, that’s what Loki assumed. He knew next to nothing about what they had unleashed. It wasn’t the same TVA. Different hunters, different analysts, different ruler. Many he recognized, but they were still different people. They weren’t the same. She wasn’t the real B. He wasn’t his Mobius. And Loki was at a complete loss on how to find them again.
The first tempad he stole only brought him back to the place he snatched it from. The same Time Variance Authority where Mobius didn’t remember him and not a single file existed for Loki Laufeyson, God of Mischief, God of Outcasts, God of Lies. Even when he dragged the analyst through the timedoor into the roxxcart parking lot to access his memories, nothing existed of him. No laughter over silly metaphors, mischief at pompeii, not even the memory of their first encounter in the elevator. It was like they never met. This led to Loki wasting away their days hopping from one disaster to the next until his brain racked up a solution. The TVA never once did follow him. Why would they? No one remembered his brilliant discovery about the apocalypses. He could run free. But as the days whittled by, the hope Loki had began to fade into nothingness.
For awhile he kept track of the places he went and the time that had passed.
Day 1 - I finally stole a tempad and left that dreadful place. I came here first. Hoping I’d see you. But I guess that’s not how time travel works in apocalypses. No trace we were ever here. The storm reminded me of my brother. I hope to see him again one day. Now that I know we could have been friends. Everything was eventually going to be okay.
Day 24 - I’ve been sitting in a coffee shop awaiting the earthquake of 2098. Met a lovely redhead with the most peculiar of tattoos. But alas! Little does she know this friendship could never blossom in the wake of death!
Day 37 - I miss him. My brother. The pain that solitude brings makes me think of home more often. How ironic that the very place that caused me the most pain I miss. But anything is better than this. So today I visited home right before its destruction. I saw my brother. I saw Thor from afar. Oh how I wish I could have talked to him somehow and tell him i’m sorry for being such an ass.
Being there brought back memories of the silly metaphor he made using Mobius’ lunch. The corners of Loki’s mouth crept into a smile at the thought. But that smile faded away in the next second and was replaced with tears.
Day 56 - I went to Pompeii again. I stood in the shadows. I tried to picture your expressions of skepticism at my insane ideas. I tried to picture how your face lit up with pride and joy when you realized I was right. I wish I could have stayed longer but I never can anywhere I go.
He whistled like a bird before he exited through the time door.
By day 125 he had lost his will to live again. It was their fourth visit to Lamentis-1. Perhaps it was a mistake on his part to journey here once more and feel both the pains of betrayal and heartache at the prospect of never seeing Mobius again. The second time they had visited Lamentis, the god decided to stay until the very last second with the false hope that maybe him facing death would create a nexus event. His mobius would come find him and save him at the last second. But the time door never came. Maybe it was because he knew there was a chance to escape and he could take it. Or maybe it was because there were so many time branches no one would care to fix a world that was about to end.
“You were always meant to be alone.”
And so this time Loki threw the tempad to the ground and waited. He watched as the lethal disaster unfolded before his eyes once more, ready to die. Alone. Alone with no one to assure him everything will be alright in the face of death. Not a single soul would know he was gone. No one would care.
But at the last second they saw something on the tempad that made them change their mind. A glimmer of hope.
Any hope Loki had, a glorious purpose he had left to fulfill, it was in finding Mobius. It was the only desire left that fueled him to keep existing. He was all that mattered. His only friend. The only person left among the universes who trusted him and saw beyond his flaws. The only person left who hadn’t betrayed the fragile levels of trust the god could give. He was his hope that one day, he wouldn’t have to be alone.
And so he found himself walking the streets of New York in the summer of 2197, on the brink of some disaster he knew nothing about. Not a single idea when it would happen, where it would occur, and what he was doomed to witness. He saw something that could potentially lead him to his destination. The tempad had given him an alert for an aura match - two of the same people in one place. An oddity. Something that wasn’t supposed to exist.
They weren’t just any entity either. They were registered hunters in the TVA database. Which meant one had to be from another universe.
And he knew the TVA would be coming for them.
He had to get there first.
Loki speed walked down the sidewalk frantically scanning his surroundings for any clue as to what was happening. He couldn’t read any signs of fear or confusion on the faces of those who passed him. He didn’t know how much time he had.
Upon hearing shouts of anger, Loki broke out into a run across the street towards the source, dodging every dystopian vehicle that nearly collided with him in the process. It was coming from the roof of the parking tower. With a snap of his magic, Loki teleported himself to the top, hiding behind a parked vehicle to assess what he was working with.
There were two agents standing about 10 feet away who looked nearly identical, one waving her arms frantically while the other looked on stoically, possibly from shock, with a pruning stick in hand. Loki locked eyes on the tempad fastened to the belt of the frantic one. Then he glanced at the one in the other hunter’s hand.
Well shit.
Now he had to figure out which agent had jumped from the other timeline. He quickly flashed himself closer to the two, but not before one caught on that someone was there.
“I was given orders by a man to…what was that?” one of the hunters asked.
Loki crouched down farther on the other side of the wall. He reached for a dagger, ready to pounce once their suspicions subsided. They listened intently to the words from the first hunter for the first clue on who to attack.
“He sent me here to grab this,” the hunter pulled up someone on her tempad, “entity and leave. Those were the orders given to me. So if you’ll excuse me.”
The other hunter planted herself in front of her clone. “I can’t let you do that. Not until you’ve told me everything I want to know. How are you me? How is this possible?”
The first hunter was from an alternate timeline. Loki took that as his cue. But before he could sneak behind the hunter, he was shot backwards by a blast of energy from a ring of light.
Out from the ring stepped a peculiar man with graying hair who was wearing blue robes and an assymetrical cloak that sparked the curiosity of the confused hunter. Within a split second, the portal closed behind him. Loki laid very still on the concrete and held his breath in the hopes that the man would believe him to be dead.
“You know I can tell when someone is playing dead.”
Loki grimaced and winced as he heaved himself off the ground. He came face to face with the strange man, his hand lingering in the air where he placed the pocket for his dagger.
“You.” was all the man said.
“Am I supposed to know you?” the god questioned.
“You always manage to show up in New York again at the most in-opportune times.” The man raised his hands and Loki mimicked his movements, summoning his daggers in place.
“I’m gonna assume we’ve met before sir, perhaps in the future? I don’t know! And i’m terribly sorry about New York! Look let me explain…” they lowered their hands in their attempt to make peace with the angry man in front of him.
“Dr. Strange.” He kept his fist in the air, golden sparks flying from whatever spell he had in mind to attack the prince with. “And until you prove otherwise Im going to assume you are here for hostile reasons.”
Loki blinked. Well he’s kind of not wrong, they thought.
“Well I’m afraid I can’t prove anything else.” and with that the god blasted the sorcerer into the nearest column with their magic and teleported across the space.
Loki noticed that one of the hunters had disappeared. He assumed she had returned to the TVA. The other was charging towards him fast. He whipped out his daggers to face his attacker, but suddenly his feet were dragged out from under him and he hit the concrete hard. He was being dragged backwards, body scrapping against the concrete. So fast, that the god could barely think about what was happening to him.
When he came to his senses he cut the magic ropes with his powers and rolled across the ground. So he was dealing with another magic user, this “Dr. Strange.” Loki teleported again before he was up on his feet to where he was standing directly behind the hunter.
“D-11…” Dr. Strange said with a hint of caution in his tone.
So this was the man Hunter D-11 was working for. Before the hunter could turn around to face them, Loki snatched the tempad off her belt and snapped himself to the furthest side of the building. Dr. Strange reacted quickly and stood his ground in front of Loki, prepared to attack again.
“Loki, perhaps we can work out some type of deal. What is it that you want? Maybe I can help you. Maybe we can reach a compromise.”
Offer him a deal? Nah.
“I’m done trusting people I’ve just met. All they ever do is stab me in the back.” he conjured the time door behind him.
Strange titled his head. “You do realize we can follow you right straight back to the TVA?”
Loki turned to face him and D-11. “You’ll never find me. You won’t know the first place to look.” The time door closed with Loki inside of it, before the two even had a chance to reach their hands out to follow the god.
…….
And that’s how Loki had ended up here. At Roxxcart again, waiting for the new tempad to charge up before hopping through timelines again.
He breathed in deeply as he felt the bubble of excitement, relief, and happiness build in his chest for the first time in months at the prospect of achieving his goal. Being reunited with the only one who mattered: Mobius. His Mobius.
But as he released his breath in a sigh, his chest tightened again and worry clouded his mind. What if this didn’t work? What if this was just another dead end? What if this was just another one of the countless TVAs that might exist in the vast multiverse?
At first, all Loki felt was sadness and regret in the days following Sylvie’s betrayal. But now all he felt was anger boiling deep inside him. That same unwelcome feeling he experienced after discovering his father lied to him. The feeling that harbored in the abyss of Thanos’ chambers. The feeling that never left his soul until Mobius looked him in the eyes and assured him that he didn’t have to be the villain in his story.
She had taken everything from him and he was afraid he couldn’t wash away the resentment this time. He wanted desperately to feel anything besides the pain he had known for the past year.
He needed to feel love again.
“He cares about you.”
Loki couldn’t wait any longer. He picked up the tempad and tapped the time door request for the TVA home base. He drew in a shaky breath as he paused in front of the portal.
This was it.
He was either about to be reunited with his greatest source of happiness, or find himself hiding in apocalypses again for months as he searched for another plan.
And he would do it. He would search through a thousand worlds to find him.

my heart is buried in Venice
SUMMARY: she would rather die for love than live for fear. it appears that falling for draco malfoy puts that to the test.
PAIRING: draco x oc
WARNINGS: smut and a bit of descriptive torture (crucio)
hello again! this is angsty. that’s all i will say, so now you’ve been warned. let me know if you enjoy it. its a bit of a longer one! bold/italics symbolize the beginning/ending of a flashback. hopefully it isn’t confusing! also, sorry the summary is shit, im so bad at writing them!
She thinks back to the first time she had seen Draco Malfoy. Not the first time they had met, immature beyond their current years, but the first time she had seen Draco.
The crying was unfamiliar to her, yet it brought stabbing pains to her chest. She hurried into the bathroom, expecting to find a scared first year. They always came to the bathrooms to cry, although they did normally avoid Moaning Myrtle. Still, with the current state of the world, she supposed nothing would be surprising at this point.
“It’s alright,” she stepped in cautiously, peering to see where the crying person was. “No one deserves to cry alone in the bathroom.”
With a thick, shaky sort of breath, the crying tapered off. She turned the corner to see a silver head of hair hunched over the sink, a boy with white sleeves rolled up on his arms. He wasn’t quick enough to yank the sleeves down, and she stopped short when she saw the unmistakable mark of Voldemort on his arm.
“Get out,” Draco Malfoy snarled, turning to half his face was visible to her. “Now.”
“I would hate to leave you alone like this,” she paused, holding her hands out in a sort of I come in peace way. “I may not be your preferred company, but I’ve been told I’m a great listener.”
It was almost unnoticeable, but Draco softened. It was clear in the sag of his shoulders, the loosening of his grip on the sink. She held her breath, and walked further into the bathroom.
“Or, I could offer out a distraction,” she leaned against the frame of the stall, her arms crossed on her chest. “I’ve also been known to ramble about nonsense more often than not.”
“And who exactly is it that said that?” Draco turned towards her, and sat on the floor.
She smiled, and promptly sat down on the floor with her back against the frame. “Well, I’m quite good friends with Susan Bones…” and she launched into a tale of the time when she and Susan had successfully distracted Professor Sprout for half a lesson, by asking about the mixing of magical plants with other muggle plants of certain… properties. They had been beyond surprise when Professor Sprout was quite knowledgeable on the subject herself.
To her surprise, Draco had engaged a bit in the discussion, asking questions and humming and hawing here and there to show he had actually been listening. He had subtly wiped his face dry during the conversation, and she had pretended not to notice.
“I’m quite surprised to find you here, you know,” she said gently, after their shared laughter had come to a stop. “I’m sure you have a million other friends in your house that would talk with you, rather than a Hufflepuff.”
“I haven’t got any friends,” he scoffed harshly, his face once again that hard mask he wore in the halls. “None that really give a shit. Certainly none that would-” but he cut himself short, shaking his head and staring at his hands.
“None that would want to know the reason behind having the mark,” she guessed softly, raising her hands when he lifted his head with a snarl on his face. “If it bothered me terribly, I wouldn’t be sitting here with you. I would have already gone to Dumbledore or someone.”
“So why are you here?” his face was twisted again, into the hatred and despair that seemed foreign on his beautiful features. “Waiting for the right opportunity to strike? Waiting for me to spill my secrets, so you can go running off to tell?”
“No,” she shook her head, answering honestly. “I’m here, because someone was crying and needed a friend.”
Draco’s shoulders sagged again, and he rested his head on his knees. The gentle trembling of his shoulders were the only sign that he was crying again.
In a move that was boldly out of her character, she scooted across the floor so she was beside him. The gentle tensing of his body let her know that he noticed her movements. Slowly, and then in one rushing movement, she wrapped her arms around him.
He began to shove her off at first, but then he sagged once more, and rested his head on her shoulder. Again, he cried, and she murmured reassuring words as he did.
A long time had passed before the embrace ended. Draco had stopped crying, and they had been sitting there in silence for a while.
“Would you like to talk about it?” she asked him quietly, when he pulled out of her arms.
He shook his head, his grey eyes looking at hers with a haunted gaze. “I can’t.”
It is those same grey eyes she stares at now. Not entirely grey, they have the most spectacular speckles of blue in them. A brilliant contrast to her honey brown ones.
“Is there any particular reason you enjoy the bathroom?” she asked Draco, setting her bag beside her as she sat on the floor next to him.
“I don’t enjoy the bathroom,” he muttered, his elbows resting on his knees. “It’s a filthy place.”
“So then why, when you disappear, do I always find you in the bathroom, either staring at the mirror or sitting on the floor?” she bumped his shoulder with her own, looking up at him through her lashes.
“Are you keeping tabs on me?” he turned his head to look down at her, his grey eyes dark.
Well, not entirely grey. The longer she stared at them, the most beautiful flecks of blue popped out at her. As she stared -admired, although she wouldn’t admit that to him- the bags underneath paired with his spiderweb veins of tender yellow and blue haunted her.
“Perhaps,” she paused, her lips parting for a moment. “Does that bother you?”
“It should,” he surprised her with the raw honesty in his voice. He was normally much more reserved. “But it doesn’t. I like the thought of you thinking of me.”
“Well, I think of you quite often,” she admitted, a bit breathless at the admission. “When you weren’t at dinner, I knew where to find you.”
“The bathroom,” Draco scoffed, turning away to hide the redness spreading across his cheeks. She smiled gently, as she didn’t miss it. She noticed just about everything he did. “Who would have ever thought a Malfoy would declare the bathroom as their safe space.”
“Put a few pictures up, might make it a bit more homey,” she suggested, resting her head on his shoulder. “Although I would make sure they’re all modest, don’t want Myrtle to take any for her personal use.”
“Oh, come on now,” he gave a rare smile, reminiscent of the smirk he used to wear all the time. “Myrtle isn’t that bad.”
She raised her eyebrows. “Wow, Draco, first the bathroom, now Myrtle? Clearly you’ve strayed from your noble path.”
Perhaps that was the wrong thing to say. The reaction from Draco was immediate, his mouth snapped shut with an audible snap, his jaw clenched, and his body went stiff. She lifted her head off his shoulder, apologies on her face, but he began speaking with an angry rush that startled her.
“I don’t think there’s anything noble left in me,” his hands were shaking now. “My life has become such a mockery of what I thought it would be, and there’s absolutely no way out. I don’t know what I’m going to do, and I need to figure it out now before he- before he kills me.”
Time seemed to freeze after he spoke. He had never even hinted before, at anything like that. They danced around the subject of his dark mark, neither wanting to bring it up. But now, for Draco to so openly admit that he was being forced to do something, more than likely pertaining to Voldemort, well. It was a breakthrough in their relationship.
“You can tell me anything, Draco,” her voice was barely above a whisper, and yet, it sounded through the empty bathroom like a siren. “Please, don’t feel like you need to bottle this up.”
Tears leaked out of Draco’s eyes, and she tentatively wrapped her arms around him. This time, he held her back even tighter, and shifted so that she was in between his legs. He cradled the back of her head gently, pressing her to his chest, and he rested his head on top of hers. Her heart began racing, and his did the same. She knew this because his heartbeat was echoing in her ear from being pressed against his chest.
“I have to fix the vanishing cabinet in the room of requirement,” he said the words quickly, in a rush. “To get the death eaters in the school. He.. he wants me to kill Dumbledore.”
“Oh, Draco,” her breath was shaky, and she closed her eyes. “I’m so sorry.”
The bathroom seemed deathly silent after that. Time seemed to stretch infinitely, until Draco shattered it once more.
“I’ve thought of jumping off the astronomy tower,” he breathed out, so lightly she almost didn’t hear. “Ending it all. But I’m too much of a coward to go through with it.”
“No,” she said quickly, pulling back slightly so she could look at his eyes. “You can’t do that I can’t- I don’t want to lose you.”
The quick admission slipped from her lips before she could stop it, and she wanted to swallow her words as fast as she said them. Draco shut his eyes, his cheeks glistening from the tears that had fallen. His jaw was clenched, a sure sign that he was upset.
“You can’t have me,” Draco’s voice was firm. “I’m not good for you. You’ll only get hurt, if they know I care for you.”
“You care for me?” that seemed to be the only thing her mind would let her latch onto, and she marveled at the fact.
“You could be killed.” his voice was less firm now, and he opened his eyes, grey staring into brown.
“I could be killed regardless,” she pointed out, nearly breathless. “There’s a war going on, Draco. I could die tomorrow, I could leave for holiday or summer break, and be killed. I don’t want to exist in fear. I want to live what little time I may have left in love.”
The words seemed to hang between them, the air heavy. Draco’s eyes shut briefly, and his arms tightened around her before he opened them again. As his head bent towards her, she closed the gap, placing her hands on his cheeks. He flinched at the touch, but melted into her as their lips progressed together.
Her eyes flick down to his lips now, the feeling of them so familiar yet so foreign at the same time. Liquid trickles down her forehead, towards her cheek, but she doesn’t move a hand to brush it away.
“Don’t you dare fucking hurt her!” Draco shouted at Harry Potter, flashing a streak of purple towards the Gryffindor. He pushed her out of the way, and she skidded to the floor.
Harry fired another spell at Draco, exploding the toilet next to her. The porcelain rained down on her, and she raised her arms protectively as the shards cut her skin. Draco shot another spell at Harry, and the bin behind him exploded.
She rose to her feet, nearly slipping on the water, trying to get her wand from her discarded robes on the floor behind Draco. Just as she had it in her hands, she turned, only to get hit with a leg locker curse from Harry. She fell, unable to brace herself, and knocked the side of her head on the sink, hot liquid spilling down her face as her head exploded in pain.
Draco turned to see her, and his face contorted in rage as he turned back to Harry. He cried, “Cruci-”
“SECTUMSEMPRA!” bellowed Harry, cutting off Draco’s unforgivable curse, waving his wand wildly.
She watched in horror through blurry vision as blood spurted from Draco’s face and chest as though he had been slashed with an invisible sword. He staggered backward and collapsed on to the waterlogged floor with a great splash, his wand falling from his limp right hand.
“No,” she choked out, the leg locker curse wearing off. “No, no, no!”
Her head spinning wildly, she looked down horrified as Draco’s white hands scrabbled at his blood soaked chest. She was vaguely aware of Harry falling to his knees next to Draco, and without a second thought, she wound her fist back and punched him with as much strength as she could muster.
“Fix him,” she screamed at Harry, who had a hand pressed to his nose. “Whatever you did, fix him now!”
“MURDER! MURDER IN THE BATHROOM! MURDER!”
Moaning Myrtle had appeared out of the toilets, and she was now floating around the bathroom wildly.
The door banged open, and Professor Snape burst into the room. She realized it was the only time she was happy to see the hook nosed man. He pushed Harry roughly aside, and drew his wand over the deep wounds Harry’s curse had made, muttering an incantation that sounded almost like song. The flow of blood eased, Snape wiped the residue from Draco’s face and repeated his spell. Now, the wounds seemed to be knitting.
She had his hand in her own, reaching up ever so often to wipe away the blood that kept coming from her head wound. When Snape had performed the counter curse for the third time, he half-lifted Malfoy into a standing position.
She stood up quickly, hearing Snape mutter to Draco. She steadied herself against the headrush she got from standing, a fresh wave of pain rolled through her head.
“Miss Cherrywood, are you able to accompany Draco to the nurse?” Snape eyed her, his face unreadable.
“Of course,” she quickly took Draco in her arms, steadying herself against the added weight. “What do I tell Madam Pomfrey?”
His gaze didn’t miss the way she looked at him, or he her. “Tell her exactly what happened. I am going to deal with Potter.”
She nodded, and hurried out of the bathroom as fast as she could. Draco was pale, much paler than she had ever seen him, which was saying something. He normally looked as white as their sheets.
They made it to Madam Pomfrey, who immediately took Draco into her care. As she watched Madam Pomfrey, she told her exactly what happened. Harry had started it, for no good reason. She left out the part about Draco nearly using an unforgivable, and as she finished recounting the story, she fell over from the sudden wave that went through her head.
Nothing got passed Madam Pomfrey. She was instructed to sit on the bed next to Draco, and once Madam Pomfrey was satisfied with her work on the silver haired boy, she fixed up her would and gave her a potion for the concussion she surely endured.
“You alright, Birdie?” Draco’s eyes were shut, and his voice was weak as he spoke.
“Don’t worry about me,” she slid off the bed, ignoring the instruction Pomfrey had given her before she left. “How are you?”
When her hand held his, he opened his eyes. He was so pale. She brushed his silver strands off his forehead gently, careful of the bottom half of his face that had been hit with that nasty curse.
“I feel as though I should be dead,” Draco paused, his voice low. “For whatever reason, that thought now scares me.”
“What do you mean, love?” the pet name slipped out of her mouth, and she hoped he didn’t mind. She brushed a thumb over his hand, relishing in the soft skin.
“I mean,” he turned to look at her, his face open and earnest. It reminded her of the day he had told her everything. That seemed so long ago now. “I was scared I was going to die without ever telling you how I felt.”
Silence laid over them like a blanket. She stared at him, lips parted, not knowing what to say.
“Birdie, I love you,” Draco broke the silence, shutting his eyes once more. “I shouldn’t. But I do. What happened today with Potter is just a fraction, a mere glimpse, of what would happen to you if he knew my feelings for you.”
“I don’t care, Draco,” the words flew from her mouth, a smile gracing her lips. “I don’t care. I love you. I am in love with you. I would always choose to live in love instead of fear.”
Draco opened his eyes again, and reached a weak arm up to press his lips to hers. Their eyes shut as their lips moved in sync as they had done many times before.
“I meant what I said,” she says the words quietly, looking into those familiar grey eyes. “I will always choose to live in love rather than fear.”
Laughter is heard around them, and she swallows her fear down hard. She vows to be true to her words, no matter the cost.
“Tomorrow,” Draco says quietly, turning to look at her. “It happens tomorrow.”
She let out a shaky breath, turning away from his gaze to the night sky. She had known this was happening, since he told her he fixed the damn cabinet. There was nothing to do. She couldn’t stop it. She wouldn’t help him. She would be fighting against him, come tomorrow night.
“I love you.” the words fall from her lips in a shaky voice, tears slipping down her face.
“Darling,” Draco took her in his arms, cradling her head to his chest. She was reminded of their first hug when he did the same. “I love you more than I had ever thought possible.”
They kissed again, this time a different passion behind it. They both knew this was a goodbye, maybe forever. He would leave with the Death Eaters tomorrow, after he killed Dumbledore. He would have blood on his hands and would formally join the enemy.
Their lips clashed and moved together, tongue touching teeth and lips touching skin. They grabbed at each other, daring to find where the other began and the other stopped. Gentle hands, harsh lips. It was a fight for love that wouldn’t matter in the end.
Draco laid her down on the cushy blanket they had been sitting on before, and paused. “Are you sure you want this, Birdie?”
“I want you, Draco,” she stared up at him, trying her best to memorize his every feature. He was so angelic. How could he be put up to the task he was given? “Only you, Draco.”
He pressed kisses to her neck, deftly unbuttoning her blouse. It slid off her shoulders, and he unhooked her bra next. For a moment, he stopped, staring at her exposed breasts for the first time.
“So beautiful darling,” he murmured, pressing kisses to her skin. “All for me.”
“Always for you.” she moaned back, as he nipped and sucked at her soft breasts.
His lips felt like fire against her skin, as he took a nipple in his mouth while his hand played with the other. She arched her back, wanting to be as close as possible to him. After a moment, she helped him slide his shirt off so she could touch his bare skin. Her nails dragged down his back as he sucked on her breasts, massaging the other with his hand.
He began pressing kisses to her neck, while his hands slid her skirt and panties off her hips, leaving her bare underneath him. He did the same to his pants, leaving his boxers on. He glanced up at her once more, and when she nodded, pressed his lips to hers and cupped her heat.
He ran a finger up her slit, kissing her neck once more as she moaned at his touch. She gripped his shoulders as he began pushing one finger in and out, before adding another one. She moaned softly as Draco sucked on her neck, his fingers sliding in and out of her. He began to rub small circles on her clit with his thumb, and her eyes fluttered shut.
“Draco,” she moaned out, pleasure coursing through her body as he kissed her breasts again.
“That’s it, darling,” he replied, pressing his lips to her once more before trailing back down to her neck. “Say my name.”
He pumped in and out of her faster, and she cursed as she said his name. She dug her fingers into his shoulders, and he hissed at the pain. He rubbed her clit faster, and she felt pressure building in her stomach. She moaned his name again, her eyes rolling into the back of her head.
“You’re so beautiful darling,” he praised her. “All hot and wet for me. Only for me.”
He picked up the speed of his fingers pumping in and out, and she could feel herself becoming close to coming.
“Draco, I’m gonna-” a moan from her throat cut her off.
“Yes Birdie, come on fingers,” he coaxed, his thumb again rubbing fast against her clit. “I want to taste you, love. Come all over my fingers.”
Moaning, her head tossed back, she came all over his fingers, grinding her hips onto them as she rode out her high. She caught her breath, and looked back at Draco, who placed his fingers in his mouth, sucking her juices off them.
“So sweet, darling,” he told her, his gaze heavy. “I didn’t expect anything else.”
He kissed her parted lips, and she tangled her fingers in his hair. She could feel his bulge pressing against her core, separated only by the thin fabric of his boxers, and she pulled away from him.
“Draco,” she gazed at him with lidded eyes. “I want you to make love to me.”
“Anything for you, darling.” Draco complied, slipping his boxers off and swishing his wand towards her stomach. She felt a slight tingle, and realized it was the contraceptive spell.
She glanced down at his hard cock, and swallowed hard as she realized how big it was. She watched as he lined himself up to her entrance, biting her lip.
His lips captured hers once more, before he pulled away to look at her for her consent once more. She nodded, and he pushed into her wet heat, groaning at how tight she was. She sucked in a harsh breath, her eyes watering. It was her first time, and the pressure was a lot to handle.
Draco noticed, and he pressed kisses to her neck, her cheek, her lips, as he let her adjust to his size. “Darling, you feel incredible. So fucking tight.”
“Can you..” she bit her lip once more, subconsciously grinding her hips against him.
He groaned at the feeling, and began slowly moving in and out of her. It hurt at first, but she slowly got used to the feeling, and pleasure began to take over. The feeling of him pushing in and out made her toes curl, and she moaned as he began to pick up the pace.
“You’re so wet for me,” Draco groaned, interlacing their fingers. “Feel so good, Birdie.”
“Draco,” she moaned, the sound of her name on his lips bringing pleasure to her. “Fuck, this feels so good.”
He brought one hand down to push her legs further apart, the motion making him hit deeper inside of her, effectively hitting her g-spot. His name fell from her lips in a string of moans, and he began to stroke into her faster.
“You’re such a good girl,” he groaned into her ear, pressing sloppy kisses to her neck. “Good little Hufflepuff getting fucked by a Slytherin.”
Her lips were parted, and her eyes were screwed shut as he thrusted into her, her breasts bouncing from the force he fucked her with. She again let out a string of moans, his name falling with every other word. His thrusts began to get more sloppy, and his hand reached down to rub circles onto her clit as he thrusted in and out. She began to feel the pressure building up again, and her body writhed underneath him as the pleasure took over her. He groaned, and with a few more thrusts, she felt him shudder, and a sudden wetness filled her cunt. Euphoria washed over her as he did this, and she realized she had come for the second time that night.
For a moment, Draco stayed inside of her, leaning down to press kisses to her neck once more before pulling out of her. He laid next to her on the blanket, and pulled her into his embrace.
“I love you,” he pressed his lips to her temple, his hand stroking her hair.
She looked up at him, their bare skin pressed to each other. “I love you too.”
The hopelessness of the situation hits her. There was nowhere to turn. They knew all about them now, but as she lets their memories wash over her for the final time, she smiles. She wouldn’t change a thing.
“Birdie, it isn’t safe for us to be together,” Draco murmured into her hair, his arms wrapped tightly around her. “They’ll hurt you.”
“I don’t care, Draco,” she looked up at him and smiled. “What more can they do to me? The Carrows Crucio me nearly once a week.”
“Because you can’t just let things be,” he responds angrily, moving away from her in frustration, his fingers gripping the railing for the astronomy tower. “You have to involve yourself.”
“I’m not going to let them use unforgivable curses on first years!” she yelled back, her voice echoing in the empty tower.
That paused both of them. She never yelled at him. He wasn’t even sure she could yell.
“Draco, I love you,” she began again, taking his hands in her own. “I love you so much. You have to understand that I can’t just let them tortue kids. If I have a chance to stand up to the Carrows, I will do that.”
“I know,” his shoulders sagged in defeat, and he sat down on the floor, his back against the railing. “I just wish you weren’t so stubborn. I wish I could protect you better.”
“If you did that, they would know about us,” she sat next to him, placing her head on their shoulder. “It would be so much worse for us.”
Draco nodded. They sat in silence for a while, her head on his shoulder, his fingers playing with her hair. Hogwarts was much different this year. Snape and the Carrows had taken over Hogwarts. The remaining members of the DA were still fighting against them, for what they believed in. Hoping each day Harry would come back, and everything would be okay again.
Neville and Ginny had taken over the DA. She helped out a lot more than she had expected she would. She felt that, maybe, part of her was guilty because she was deeply in love with Draco, and he played a part in the downfall of the school.
But he had no choice. He was the boy who had no choice. And she knew that.
No one knew about them. The only person who probably did, was Harry Potter. And at this point, if he ever were to think of her or Draco, he probably thought she wouldn’t still be with him. But it didn’t matter. Harry had much bigger things to worry about then who Draco Malfoy fancied.
“I want a nice little cabin in the woods,” Draco traced circles on her arm, his voice low. “Away from everyone. Away from everything. I want to grow our own garden. My mum always loved gardening. She has the most beautiful flower gardens, you would absolutely love it…” his voice trailed off, no doubt thinking of before. Before things got messy. Before life went south.
“What does the cabin look like, love?” she asked, tilting her head up to look at his angelic face. He smiles, placing a quick kiss to her forehead.
“It’s small, very modest,” he continued, looking at her face. “There’s a giant couch, soft as a cloud. Tons of blankets throughout, for when you complain it’s too cold even when it’s a beautiful summer day,” he pokes at her side, making her giggle. “A nice window with a desk in front of it. I’ll sit at the desk every day, and write. Bad, good, all of it. I’ll publish my own book, one day, about all the bullshit we’ve gone through.”
“The autobiography of Draco Malfoy.” she smiled, leaning further into him.
“Exactly,” Draco laughed, although there isn’t much humor. “My mother is the only one allowed over. She’ll want to help with the garden, but I’m not going to let her. I’ll be the one to do it. Hell, maybe I’ll even do it without magic. We’ll be hidden away in the trees, unable for anyone to find. There’ll be two bedrooms, one for us, of course, the largest one, and the other for…”
“For what, Draco?” she nudged him, wondering why he had trailed off.
Draco looked down at her, his hand grasping her chin. “For our children. Two, at least. No only child bullshit. I never want our children to be lonely.”
“You want kids with me?” she marveled at the fact, unaware that Draco would ever want kids, much less with her.
“Birdie,” he breathed, the smell of peppermint hitting her nostrils. “I want an entire lifetime with you.”
“Do it now, Draco!” Bellatrix shouts from behind her, her heels clacking as she strides forward.
She feels the woman dig her nails into her neck, and she can’t stop the whimper of fear that escapes from her lips. Her eyes plead with Draco, honey brown meets grey blue. He’s a mess, his eyes wild with despair, his arm shaking as he holds his wand up to her.
“Birdie..” her name falls from his lips, and she cries as she hears the goodbye in it.
“Please, Draco,” she pleads, and she’s unsure why. She wanted to die bravely, not groveling at someone's feet. “I want a lifetime with you.”
“Filthy scum,” Bellatrix snaps, forcing her to her knees. “Do it, Draco.”
His hand is unsteady. His wand is shaking.
“Crucio!” Bellatrix shouts, her wand digging into her neck.
Her every nerve ending is on fire. She screams and she screams, her voice harsh. The words carved into her skin hadn't hurt this bad. Her head being slammed into the ground repeatedly hadn’t hurt this bad. She feels like every bone in her body is being broken, just heal and break once more. It’s like she’s been dipped into a vat of acid, and her skin is peeling off.
She wishes for death.
The pain stops, but her skin twitches as her muscles remember the pain. She’s laying on the ground, moaning as tears slide down her cheeks. Her throat hurts so bad, and she wishes she could stop crying, but she can’t.
“Stand up, you pathetic bitch!” Bellatrix hoists her to her feet, again holding her by the back of her clothes. “Now, Draco!”
She blinks fast, clearing her vision to look at Draco. He looks so thin, so pale. The dark circles are back. Spiderweb veins of tender yellow blue are visible on his face. Yes he’s still so breathtakingly handsome as he once again holds his wand to her.
“Always for you,” the words slip out of her lips as she stares at the man she loves. “Only ever for you.”
“Shut up!” Bellatrix slaps her, and the pain barely registers from the amount she’s already been through. “I’m not asking you again, Draco.”
“Let her stand on her own,” Draco demands, his voice cracking. “I won’t kill her while you hold her.”
Bellatrix steps away then, a cackling laugh coming from her lips. Without the support of the wicked woman, she sways and nearly falls, but catches her balance just in time.
“I would rather die in love, than live in fear,” she says softly, under her breath, the words coming out funny as her jaw is still twitching from the cruciatus curse. “For you, I would die a thousand times over.”
She shuts her eyes then. She knows what’s coming. In some way, she always knew this was where they would end up. Perhaps not with him holding the wand to kill her, but with her dying because she wasn’t afraid to love him.
“Birdie,” Draco says in the voice that’s meant only for her, and she smiles, happy to hear it one more time. “I love you. I’m sorry.”
“Avada Kedavra!”
There is a flash of green.

You sat outside the café drinking in the warm sunshine and watching people walk by. You took a sip of you drink and sighed contentedly. It was moments like these that made everything worth it. You were finally at peace and enjoying the warm day where all you could do was relax and not care about anything.
“Excuse me but is this seat free? Everywhere else is taken.”
“Oh yes feel-“ you looked up and froze, “Free.”
The Doctor gave you a slightly sad smile as he sat down. You quickly looked away, not wanting to see the man you used to travel with. The two of you sat in increasingly awkward silence until the Doctor said,
“So, how have you been?”
“Fine. You?”
“Yeah, good. I’ve started teaching near here.”
“Really?”
“Have two new companions. Well, one. The other is more of a hindrance than anything else.”
“That’s nice. So you won’t be needing me.”
“That’s not what I’m saying,” the Doctor said, “I never wanted you to stop travelling with me.”
You looked over at him sharply.
“What about me?” you hissed, “What if I wanted to stop travelling with you? Aren’t I allowed to make that choice?”
Something flashed across the Doctor’s eyes but as quickly as you had saw it, it had gone. He leant closed to you and said quietly,
“You always have a choice. It’s just…”
“Just what?”
“I miss you,” he sounded so fragile that you paused, “You had been with me through my previous regenerations. You know what it’s been like for me. I miss having someone who has known my past. I care for Bill and to some extent Nardole, but with you it’s different. It’s always been different.”
“I miss seeing the universe,” you said after taking a sip of your drink, “Seeing other planets, time periods, seeing what’s out there. But do you know what I don’t miss?”
“Tell me.”
“Running for our lives each and every time. Seeing people die and knowing that we can’t do anything about it because it’s a fixed point in time. After what happened to Clara-“
You broke off and swallowed thickly. You looked away again as you remembered what had happened to your friend. It still hurt to think about her and what could’ve happened to you. Travelling with the Doctor was dangerous, you knew that when you first stepped on board the TARDIS, but that drove the point home. The Doctor winced when you mentioned Clara.
“I never wanted that to happen.”
“I didn’t say you did,” you said, “But I needed space and time to heal.”
“Do you want to come back?” the Doctor asked, “To travel again?”
“Maybe at some point,” you said, “But if I did it wouldn’t be like before. Just the small occasional trip.”
The Doctor nodded. You could tell that he wasn’t happy with your answer but that it was truth. You deeply missed the Doctor, more than you would ever let on, but he needed to know how you were feeling however painful it might be. Suddenly the Doctor jumped to his feet with an energy that reminded you of his previous regeneration.
“You should meet Bill and Nardole,” he said, “See the university. You’d like it!”
“I’m not sure,” you said, “I just-“
“Just to meet them,” he pleaded, “Nothing more. We can have dinner. Nardole’s treat!”
“Well,” you smiled, “If he’s paying. But nothing in the TARDIS ok?”
“Promise.”
The Doctor held out his hand and you placed yours in his. The Doctor swiftly pulled you to your feet and led you hand in hand towards the university. You still needed time to heal but things were definitely looking slightly brighter.
