you’re fucked. its just the first day and you’re already running late because you wanted to fuck some random hot guy. and you messing up the train hasn’t helped you at all.

but damn here you are standing infront of this building that has god knows how many floors,shining through your eyes just like it did 7 years ago. this was your dream company. you worked so hard in college and internships so you could finally work under this brand business. and to think that you kinda messed up your first day..well it’s fine you’re just late by what..5 minutes OH FUCK 15 MINUTES ALREADY.

“good morning. where’s the meeting for freshers being conducted ?”

“good morning to you too. its in the 8th floor. you’ll have a board directing you. have a good day,all the best” says the receptionist with the hugest smile.

it’s all the little things that could actually make you feel positive the whole day.

well well well you feel your body heat up with anxiety when you see the room already filled with people and the meeting has already started.

trying to get inside with no traces of entering “OUH” here we go,you just got your pinky toe hit by one of the chairs. being twenty four and nothing could change your clumsiness,truly.

“i’m sorry haha” you respond to all the eyes that’s on you silently sitting next to someone.

“hi” he whispers. you just nod because you can’t afford to have your name called out right after what you did.

“i’m mingyu !” he whispers again glancing at your direction.

“y/n” you just smile and nod once again. the speech started again distracting you both.

“that’s all the information you all would need. the teams would be split based on the department with one senior head. hopefully you guys would enjoy your job. feel free to contact us anytime.” oh she’s done.

having your little convo with mingyu,who is apparently in the same business field as you,your ceo comes by reading your name tags.

“good luck to both of you for getting into the business team in such a young age.” she says with an elegant smile.

“you both will be assisted by your head,my son- just a minute- SEUNGCHEOL !!” she turns back and waves at a guy..oh god..OH GOD.

your eye’s physically widens. throat drying. you’re about to cry. no way..no way you just fucked your ceo’s son the night before..didn’t you..

his eyes meets yours and you see his widen too after seeing you. you just divert looking away.

“keep talking to them sweetie,i’ll go and meet up with the next team” she smiles at the three of you and walks away.

“sooo hi to mingyu aanddd y/n who was late on her first day of work..because?” you’re fucked up,again.

you just awkwardly smile at him because WHO WOULD’VE EVER THOUGHT.

smirking he just leads you both to your work space,talking about what you’ll be doing,about work and all that. you could feel his stare on the corridors,the lift,the working area,the EVERYWHERE.

well who would’ve thought your first day would be this way.

“so this is where we will be working. you can find all the files inside the lockers on floor 3. i’ll be on and off so you can just contact me through the official number. for now i’m leaving.” he winks at you and you just look down at the speed of a thunder. oof atleast he’s gone.

“what’s with you and mr.choi ?”

whipping your head at mingyu’s direction you just freeze because..yeah..no.

“nothing. i’m just anxious i think.”

“cool. anyways can i have your number??”

“HUH”

“what ! we’re going to work together until how many ever years we’ll need it come on.”

“uh yeah right haha” at this point you’re just fake laughing at anything and everything because you still can’t process what happened the whole day.

to be honest everything else about this day was good. the office was amazing,just like you thought. you were going to work under something that you loved,fashion.

you loved fashion business and your parents were terribly against it. but god you fought. fought so bad to be here. to do something you love.

and mingyu was a good guy too. he was talkative,a good company and you were satisfied of everything except one. seungcheol.

The footage from this 7-episode series is from my New Orleans (Nola) travel vacation from Nov 23 2023 to Nov 28 2023. The commentary and opinions from these videos are my own. 

Episode three I take y’all to Cafe Du Monde for 3 bumps in Nola at City Park while I give honest critiques of the lackluster drinks menu. I show y’all the grand green space that makes up the FORMER plantation current city park! It’s massive and gorgeous! Pretty in November while the butterflies made whimsical  appearances. Black Politics is centered in this part of the video! I discuss the future of Black survival and thriv-al or the lack thereof in settler colony USA. 

All that talking has me HUNGRY so I headed over to Nonno’s Cajun restaurant to eat seafood cheese fries and rum spiked lemonade! Proportions were sizable, enough for a take home plate and prices are reasonable! 

This video ends on a cliff hanger. On the next episode, I’ll take y’all to the Congo Square Drum Circle (which has been a ritualistic tradition for 200 years!) a high vibrational communal ceremony and other Nola adventures!

      ( REFLECTION / VERBAL INTERVIEW, NEXTGEN EPISODE3 : STEVIE PARK )

here is he again, greeting the camera when he comes for his verbal interview. stevie smiles, tiredly, though as bright as can manage-- waving both his hands excitedly. “hello, hello~” he hums. kicks his feet in his seat as he waits for the questions to come. 

how do you feel about this round? are you confident?

“uh.” stevie tilts his head up to the ceiling as he thinks about it. “i feel...good? about it? it’s dancing, and i think it’ll go well. we practiced a lot, had a few rough patches...” he grimaces a bit, thinking about matty’s rough fall. “but i think we’ll do well. we have to, right?” stevie cracks a grin. “the performance i think is pretty engaging. and cool. very chic.” 

you were given a less than ideal review last episode. do you feel it was justified?

stevie laughs nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. “ahh...” he starts, opening his mouth and then closing it quickly. trying to figure out what quite to say. “well, yeah...i mean. i did look...pretty silly.” he gives a weak laugh. “i think i got what was coming. i’ve been humbled-- hardcore.” 

do you feel pressured now because of your rank? you dropped pretty low. 

“bottom three baby.” stevie cracks a wry grin. “it feels pretty...bad. i think i really tanked. it makes sense though.” on top of his silliness on camera, his vocals were terrible. he definitely wasn’t going up, so down was the only option. he’s not last though, so there’s a silver lining to it at least. “i do feel pressure. but it’s also like...i want to do better, y’know? show my better side. it’s good pressure, i think, even if it’s kinda...overwhelming and stressful.”

it looks like you had fun with your team. do you prefer more focused performances?

“definitely! i think it’s a lot more fun to perform with people. not as lonely.” stevie says. “and we can help each other out! teamwork makes the dreamwork. that’s what this mission was about, right? i’m just in my element.” his hand lifts to play with his earring. “they’re fun and nice. it was easy to get into the flow of dancing together. i think we made a pretty good team.”

alright, last question. do you see an improvement from last episode to this one?

what a question. “i tried to make an improvement.” stevie says honestly. “i’m not sure if it’s up to standard or expectations, but i’m trying. i think i’ve practiced enough as i can without pushing past my limits. it’s just...up to the judges now.” he’s done all he can. now, it’s just a waiting game.

真っ暗闇の中で、南極という極限状態で起きる連続殺人事件。

その為、密室殺人事件を見てるよう。

だから、設定が視聴者には縁がない極寒状態でも、見慣れた場所で行われてる感じが面白い。

Here's what was covered: Magic is at the centre of almost any fantasy novel. Our characters use it. Worlds are imbued with it. Creatures are formed by it. It can be a mystical and mysterious force, secret esoteric knowledge for a chosen few, or a commonplace part of everyday life. Let’s talk about what angle I’m going for.

I got thinking about the idea of magic and how in most instances it is an unexplained mystical force. It just IS. But, being overly analytical, I decided that I needed to know a little more. And since I’m allegorising the real world for this story, I wondered what fantasy magic would be if it was real. The answer was: energy.

We have seen examples of animals that have changed their colour or organs or beaks or shells to better survive. So, it stands to reason that in a world where other creatures and the environment are able to interact with magic, other races such as humans would have biologically attuned in some way to be able to compete. And what about creatures who aren’t able to consciously manipulate magic? They still have to survive in a world where the top of the food chain can use it. So, what do they do about it?

Then I read my short story, Lumber Rabbits, that tests the idea of animals that have adapted through magical evolution to better survive.
