Mr. Farshtey headcanoning that the Great Beings programmed the knowledge of the visorak into the makuta is. Not that great worldbuilding.

I can work with it as that the Great Being intended to introduce the concept of evolution and mutations into the various biomes. But it's a hassle to implement it when I want to, even with going the idea that their original intentions and designs got corrupted over the ages. Both by misunderstandings and that with the Makuta forgetting their original purpose, the designs also changed in their mind.

I need to balance the Great Beings ' competence with their fallacies, as well as the makuta's competence, their fallacies, and their own evolving plans.

So we know there are at least 5 confirmed, Great being-planned sentient species in the MU.

Matoran

Skakdi

Vortixx

Makuta

The Bahrag

There's a lot of bionicle characters who don't quite fit into any of these groups, so I propose 3 hypotheses.

1) Many of the non-matoran bionicle characters are sentient rahi made before the makuta went bad. (Like Krahka and Keetongu)

2) The order of mata nui just straight up commissioned a bunch of one-off dudes from Artahka (which would explain a bunch of one off characters whose species we never see. If he made the Toa Mata, he can probably make other guys.)

3) This is my personal favorite. The Great beings all separately & individually decided to hide their favorite blorbos and other creations in the great spirit robot for safe keeping before it took off. (Looking at you, Dark Hunters.)

Back in 2017 I signed up for one of the Cards Against Humanity sillies and did their Cards Against Humanity Saves America. Basically they were like fuck Tr*mp and his border wall and used the funds from the campaign to buy land and to make all 150,000 contributors part owners of said land across the US/Mexico border.

It was fun and silly and I got a little certificate.

Today I got an email that Elon Musk illegally annexed that land for SpaceX and that CAH are suing him over it. So possibly I’ll get like $100 if they manage to win a lawsuit and stick it to Musk. It’s like even more bang for my original buck.

Obsessed with characters who portray themselves as worse than they are. Who are lying to everyone including themselves about it. People generally assume if someone's lying about themselves they're trying to look better but sometimes they're trying to look worse. They attribute agency to where they had none, add intent to accidents, try to convince everyone that this is something they did instead of something that happened to them.
